Abstract
The ketogenic diet (KD) is a distinctive dietary regimen known for its low-carbohydrate and high-fat composition. Recently, it has garnered considerable interest from the scientific community and the general population because of its claimed efficacy in facilitating weight reduction, improving the management of glucose levels, and raising overall energy levels. The core principle of the KD is the substantial decrease in carbohydrate consumption, which is subsequently substituted by ingesting nourishing fats. While the KD has promising advantages and is gaining popularity, it must be acknowledged that this dietary method may not be appropriate for all individuals. The dietary regimen may give rise to adverse effects, including constipation, halitosis, and imbalances in electrolyte levels, which may pose a potential risk if not adequately supervised. Hence, thorough and meticulous inquiry is needed to better comprehend the possible hazards and advantages linked to the KD over prolonged durations. By obtaining a more comprehensive perspective, we can enhance our ability to make well-informed judgments and suggestions as to implementation of this specific dietary regimen.

Abstract
The progression from gastric mucosal inflammation to cancer signifies a pivotal event in the trajectory of gastric cancer (GC) development. Chinese medicine (CM) exhibits unique advantages and holds significant promise in inhibiting carcinogenesis of the gastric mucosa. This review intricately examines the critical pathological events during the transition from gastric mucosal inflammation-cancer transformation (GMICT), with a particular focus on pathological evolution mechanisms of spasmolytic polypeptide-expressing metaplasia (SPEM). Moreover, it investigates the pioneering applications and advancements of CM in intervening within the medical research domain of precancerous transformations leading to GC. Furthermore, the analysis extends to major shortcomings and challenges confronted by current research in gastric precancerous lesions, and innovative studies related to CM are presented. We offer a highly succinct yet optimistic outlook on future developmental trends. This paper endeavors to foster a profound understanding of forefront dynamics in GMICT research and scientific implications of modernizing CM. It also introduces a novel perspective for establishing a collaborative secondary prevention system for GC that integrates both Western and Chinese medicines.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The pattern of cell death known as disulfidptosis was recently discovered. Disulfidptosis, which may affect the growth of tumor cells, represents a potential new approach to treating tumors. Glycolysis affects tumor proliferation, invasion, chemotherapy resistance, the tumor microenvironment (TME), and immune evasion. However, the efficacy and therapeutic significance of disulfidptosis-related glycolysis genes (DRGGs) in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD) remain uncertain. METHODS STAD clinical data and RNA sequencing data were downloaded from the TCGA database. DRGGs were screened using Cox regression and Lasso regression analysis to construct a prognostic risk model. The accuracy of the model was verified using survival studies, receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves, column plots, and calibration curves. Additionally, our study investigated the relationships between the risk scores and immune cell infiltration, tumor mutational burden (TMB), and anticancer drug sensitivity. RESULTS We have successfully developed a prognosis risk model with 4 DRGGs (NT5E, ALG1, ANKZF1, and VCAN). The model showed excellent performance in predicting the overall survival of STAD patients. The DRGGs prognostic model significantly correlated with the TME, immune infiltrating cells, and treatment sensitivity. CONCLUSIONS The risk model developed in this work has significant clinical value in predicting the impact of immunotherapy in STAD patients and assisting in the choice of chemotherapeutic medicines. It can correctly estimate the prognosis of STAD patients.

Abstract
The Oldenlandia genus comprises approximately 240 species of plants, yet only a limited number of these have been investigated for their chemical composition and medicinal properties. These species contain a wide range of compounds such as iridoids, anthraquinones, triterpenes, phytosterols, flavonoids, anthocyanidins, vitamins, essential oils, phenolic acids, and coumarins. These diverse phytochemical profiles underscore the pharmacological potential of Oldenlandia plants for various medical purposes. Among other chemical constituents, ursolic acid stands out as the most important active compound in Oldenlandia, owing to its proven anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and hepatoprotective properties. The evaluation of Oldenlandia's pharmacological prospects indicates that the holistic utilization of the entire plant yields the most significant effects. Oldenlandia diffusa showcases anticancer and anti-inflammatory capabilities attributed to its varying constituents. Across a broad spectrum of pharmacological capacities, anticancer research predominates, constituting the majority of medical uses. Oldenlandia diffusa emerges as a standout for its remarkable anticancer effects against diverse malignancies. Antioxidant applications follow, with O. corymbosa demonstrating potent antioxidant properties alongside O. umbellata and O. diffusa. Subsequent priority lies in anti-inflammatory studies, wherein O. diffusa exhibits noteworthy efficacy, trailed by O. corymbosa also takes the lead in antimicrobial activity, with O. umbellata as a strong contender. Additional investigation is essential to ascertain the relative significance of these species in various pharmacological applications. This comprehensive assessment underscores the multifaceted potential of Oldenlandia as a versatile herbal resource, offering diverse pharmacological capacities. The call for sustained exploration and research remains essential to unlock the full extent of Oldenlandia's medicinal benefits.

Abstract
Due to rapid research expansion on dietary factors and development of cancer prevention guidelines, the field of dietary pattern and its relationship to cancer risk has gained more focus. Numerous epidemiology studies have reported associations between Gastric Cancer (GC) and both data-driven posteriori dietary pattern and priori dietary pattern defined by predetermined dietary indexes. As dietary patterns have evolved, a series of patterns based on biological markers has advanced, offering deeper insights into the relationship between diet and the risk of cancer. Although researches on dietary patterns and cancer risk are booming, there is limited body of literature focusing specifically on GC. In this study, we compare the similarities and differences among the specific components of dietary patterns and indices, summarize current state of knowledge regarding dietary patterns related to GC and illustrate their potential mechanisms for GC prevention. In conclusion, we offer suggestions for future research based on the emerging themes within this rapidly evolving field.

Abstract
This study aimed to elucidate the potential causative links between inflammatory biomarkers and gastric cancer risk via a two-sample Mendelian randomization approach. Leveraging genome-wide association study (GWAS) data, we conducted a two-sample Mendelian randomization analysis. Instrumental variable selection for inflammatory markers - namely, tissue factor, monocyte chemotactic protein-1, E-selectin, interleukin 6 receptor, and fatty acid-binding protein 4 - was informed by SNP data from the IEU database. Strongly associated SNPs served as instrumental variables. We applied a suite of statistical methods, including Inverse Variance Weighted (IVW), Weighted Median Estimator (WME), MR-Egger, and mode-based estimates, to compute the odds ratios (ORs) that articulate the impact of these markers on gastric cancer susceptibility. The IVW method revealed that the interleukin 6 receptor was inversely correlated with gastric cancer progression (OR = 0.86, 95% CI = 0.74-0.99, P = .03), whereas fatty acid-binding protein 4 was found to elevate the risk (OR = 1.21, 95% CI = 1.05-1.39, P = .03). Instrumental variables comprised 5, 4, 7, 2, and 3 SNPs respectively. Convergent findings from WME, MR-Egger, and mode-based analyses corroborated these associations. Sensitivity checks, including heterogeneity, horizontal pleiotropy assessments, and leave-one-out diagnostics, affirmed the robustness and reliability of our instruments across diverse gastric malignancy tissues without substantial bias. Our research suggests that the interleukin 6 receptor potentially mitigates, while fatty acid-binding protein 4 may contribute to the pathogenesis of gastric cancer (GC). Unraveling the intricate biological interplay between inflammation and oncogenesis offers valuable insights for preemptive strategies and therapeutic interventions in gastric malignancy management.

Abstract
Objective The development and advance of gastric cancer are inextricably linked to oxidative and antioxidant imbalance. Although immunotherapy has been shown to be clinically effective, the link between oxidative stress and gastric cancer patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICIs) remains unknown. This study aims at looking into the prognostic value of oxidative stress scores in gastric cancer patients treated with ICIs. Methods By taking the propagation to receiver operating characteristic (ROC) we got the best cut-off values, and divided 265 patients receiving ICIs and chemotherapy into high and low GC-Integrated Oxidative Stress Score (GIOSS) groups. We also used Kaplan-Meier and COX regression models to investigate the relationship between oxidative stress biomarkers and prognosis. Results Through both univariate and multivariate analyses, it's shown that GIOSS severs as an independent prognostic factor for progression-free survival (PFS) and Overall survival (OS). Based on GIOSS cutoff values, patients with high GIOSS levels, compared to those with low levels exhibited shorter PFS and OS, both in the high GIOSS group, which performed poorly in the ICIs subgroup and other subgroup analyses. Conclusion GIOSS is a biomarker that responds to systemic oxidative stress in the body and can predict prognosis in patients with gastric cancer who are taking ICIs. Additionally, it might come to medical professionals' aid in making more effective or more suitable treatment plans for gastric cancer.

Abstract
PURPOSE OF REVIEW This review presents details about types of ketogenic diet (KD), anticancer mechanisms, and the use of KD in experimental and clinical studies. Studies summarized in this review provide a solid ground for researchers to consider the use of KD to augment conventional treatments. RECENT FINDINGS KD is a dietary pattern composed of high fat, moderate proteins, and very-low-carbohydrate. This diet was suggested to have an anticancer effect and to augment conventional anticancer therapies. KD can target cancer cell by interfering with its metabolism without harming normal cells. SUMMARY Several experimental and clinical studies support the use of KD as adjuvant therapy to treat different cancers.

Abstract
Today, adolescent obesity is recognized as an epidemic and a cause of reproductive disorders. Decreased testosterone levels occur due to functional defects in the hypothalamus-pituitary axis, excessive activity of cytochrome P450 aromatase enzyme, and testicular dysfunction in these people. Oxidative damage, inflammation, and apoptosis are also the main mechanisms of testicular damage during obesity. The use of herbal products such as garlic can improve this disorder due to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the effect of pretreatment and treatment of garlic powder on the expression of cytochrome P450 aromatase enzyme and the expression of genes involved in testosterone synthesis, inflammation, oxidative damage, apoptosis in testicular tissue, and metabolic function of liver tissue in young male obese rats. Eighty male Wistar rats were divided into the controlled and treated groups. Serum levels of lipid, glucose, and insulin as metabolic factors were measured along with the testicular antioxidant and inflammation markers. The expression of Bcl2, Bax, and caspase-3 along with NF-κB, SREBP-1c, CPT-1beta, Nrf-2, CD36, FAS, CYP19A1, P450scc, StAR, 17βHSD, PPARα, and aromatase (CYP19, P450arom) was also measured. Testicular histological evaluation and spermatogenic process was also performed. The results showed that oxidative, inflammatory, and metabolic factors significantly increased in obese rats. The testicular expression of aromatase, NF-κB, Bax, and caspase 3 increased and Nrf2 expression decreased in obese rats, while (pre) treatment with garlic powder significantly decreased the expression of these genes in obese rats. These results were also confirmed by the findings of the histological evaluation and sperm analysis. It can be concluded that garlic powder could improve reproductive dysfunction in obese rats.
