Abstract
Pseudomonas lipopeptides (Ps-LPs) play crucial roles in bacterial physiology, host-microbe interactions and plant disease control. Beneficial LP producers have mainly been isolated from the rhizosphere, phyllosphere and from bulk soils. Despite their wide geographic distribution and host range, emerging evidence suggests that LP-producing pseudomonads and their corresponding molecules display tight specificity and follow a phylogenetic distribution. About a decade ago, biocontrol LPs were mainly reported from the P. fluorescens group, but this has drastically advanced due to increased LP diversity research. On the one hand, the presence of a close-knit relationship between Pseudomonas taxonomy and the molecule produced may provide a startup toolbox for the delineation of unknown LPs into existing (or novel) LP groups. Furthermore, a taxonomy-molecule match may facilitate decisions regarding antimicrobial activity profiling and subsequent agricultural relevance of such LPs. In this review, we highlight and discuss the production of beneficial Ps-LPs by strains situated within unique taxonomic groups and the lineage-specificity and coevolution of this relationship. We also chronicle the antimicrobial activity demonstrated by these biomolecules in limited plant systems compared with multiple in vitro assays. Our review further stresses the need to systematically elucidate the roles of diverse Ps-LP groups in direct plant-pathogen interactions and in the enhancement of plant innate immunity.

Abstract
In this study soils at different depths were collected in a Zn smelting site located in Zhuzhou City, China, in order to understand toxic metal(loid)s distribution and microbial community in vertical soil profile at a smelting site. Except Soil properties and metal(loid)s content, the richness and diversity of microbial communities in soil samples were analyzed via high-throughput Illumina sequencing of 16s rRNA gene amplicons. The results showed that the content of As, Pb, Cu, Cd, Zn, and Mn was relatively high in top soil in comparison to subsoil, while the concentration of Cr in subsoil was comparable with that in top soil due to its relative high background value in this soil layer. The bioavailability of Cd, Mn, Zn, and Pb was relative higher than that of As, Cr, and Cu. The diversity of soil microbial communities decreased with increasing depth, which might be ascribed to the decrease in evenness with increase in depth duo to the influence by environmental conditions, such as pH, TK (total potassium), CEC (cation exchange capacity), ORP (oxidation reduction potential), and Bio-Cu (bioavailable copper). The results also found Acidobacteria, Proteobacteria, Firmicutes, and Chloroflexi were dominant phyla in soil samples. At the genus level, Acinetobacter, Pseudomonas, and Gp7 were dominant soil microorganism. Besides, Environmental factors, such as SOM (soil organic matter), pH, Bio-Cu, Bio-Cd (bioavailable cadmium), and Bio-Pb (bioavailable lead), greatly impacted microbial community in surface soil (1-3 m), while ORP, TK, and AN concentration influenced microbial community in the subsoil (4-10 m).

Abstract
Strain S150 was isolated from the tobacco rhizosphere as a plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium. It increased plant fresh weight significantly and lateral root development, and it antagonized plant pathogenic fungi but not phytobacteria. Further tests showed that strain S150 solubilized organic phosphate and produced ammonia, siderophore, protease, amylase, and cellulase, but it did not produce indole-3-acetic acid. Using morphology, physiological characteristics, and multi-locus sequence analysis, strain S150 was identified as Pseudomonas koreensis. The complete genome of strain S150 was sequenced, and it showed a single circular chromosome of 6,304,843 bp with a 61.09% G + C content. The bacterial genome contained 5,454 predicted genes that occupied 87.7% of the genome. Venn diagrams of the identified orthologous clusters of P. koreensis S150 with the other three sequenced P. koreensis strains revealed up to 4,167 homologous gene clusters that were shared among them, and 21 orthologous clusters were only present in the genome of strain S150. Genome mining of the bacterium P. koreensis S150 showed that the strain possessed 10 biosynthetic gene clusters for secondary metabolites, which included four clusters of non-ribosomal peptide synthetases (NRPSs) involved in the biosynthesis of cyclic lipopeptides (CLPs). One of the NRPSs possibly encoded lokisin, a cyclic lipopeptide produced by fluorescent Pseudomonas. Genomic mutation of the lokA gene, which is one of the three structural NRPS genes for lokisin in strain S150, led to a deficiency in fungal antagonism that could be restored fully by gene complementation. The results suggested that P. koreensis S150 is a novel plant growth-promoting agent with specific cyclic lipopeptides and contains a lokisin-encoding gene cluster that is dominant against plant fungal pathogens.
