Abstract
In this work, a novel ternary nanocomposite of PEI/RuSi-MWCNTs was designed and synthesized for the first time, which an ultrasensitive and self-enhanced electrochemiluminescent (ECL) aptasensor was developed for the detection of profenofos residues in vegetables. The self-enhanced complex PEI-Ru (II) enhanced the emission and stability of ECL, and the multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) acted as an excellent carrier and signal amplification. The PEI/RuSi-MWCNTs were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS). The incorporation of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) improved the performance of the sensor and provided a platform for the immobilization of the aptamer. The results of the experiment showed that the presence of profenofos significantly suppressed the electrochemiluminescence intensity of the sensor. The detection sensitivity of the aptamer sensor was in the range of 1 × 10-2 to 1 × 103 ng/mL. Under optimal conditions, the limit of detection (LOD) of the sensor for profenofos was 1.482 × 10-3 ng/mL. The sensor had excellent stability, reproducibility and specificity. The recoveries of the sensor ranged from 92.29 % to 106.47 % in real sample tests.

Abstract
Standard monitoring programs give limited insight into groundwater status, especially transformation products (TPs) formed by natural processes or advanced oxidation processes (AOP), are normally underrepresented. In this study, using suspect and non-target screening, we performed a comprehensive analysis of groundwater before and after AOP by UV/H2O2 and consecutively installed biological activated carbon filters (BAC). By non-target screening, up to 413 compounds were detected in the groundwater, with an average 70% removal by AOP. However, a similar number of compounds were formed during the process, shown in groundwater from three waterworks. The most polar compounds were typically the most stable during the AOP. A subsequent BAC filter showed removal of 95% of the TPs, but only 46% removal of the AOP remaining precursors. The BAC removal for polar compounds was highly dependent on the acidic and basic functional groups of the molecules. 49 compounds of a wide polarity range could be identified by supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) and liquid chromatography (LC) with high resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS); of these, 29 compounds were already present in the groundwater. To the best of our knowledge, five compounds have never been reported before in groundwater (4-chlorobenzenesulfonic acid, dibutylamine, N-phenlybenzenesulfonamide, 2-(methylthio)benzothiazole and benzothiazole-2-sulfonate). A further five rarely reported compounds are reported for the first time in Danish groundwater (2,4,6-trichlorophenol, 2,5-dichlorobenzenesulfonic acid, trifluormethansulfonic acid, pyrimidinol and benzymethylamine). Twenty of the identified compounds were formed by AOP, of which 10 have never been reported before in groundwater. All detected compounds could be related to agricultural and industrial products as well as artificial sweeteners. Whereas dechlorination was a common AOP degradation pathway for chlorophenols, the (ultra-) short chain PFAs showed no removal in our study. We prioritized 11 compounds as of concern, however, the toxicity for many compounds remains unknown, especially for the TPs.

Abstract
At present, the detection of chlorothalonil is generally based on chromatography and immunoassay; both of which are time-consuming and costly. In this study, Surface-enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) has been successfully utilized in the detection of chlorothalonil coupled with photochemistry and meanwhile, gold nanoparticles were prepared to enhance the Raman signal. Two Raman peaks (2246 cm- 1 and 2140 cm- 1) of chlorothalonil were appeared after ultraviolet (UV) irradiation compared to the original solution. Chlorothalonil generated excited and weakened C≡N bonds in its structure by absorbing UV energy, thus leading to two kinds of corresponding peaks. These two kinds of peaks were both selected as analytical peaks in chlorothalonil detection. Different light sources and solvents were made different contributions to the final spectra. Chlorothalonil methanol solution under 302 nm wavelength irradiation was performed the best. The 2246 cm- 1 sharp peak represented to the normal C≡N bond appeared at first, which overall trend was significantly increased followed by a gradual decrease. The 2140 cm- 1 broad peak represented to the weakened C≡N bond appeared later, which overall trend was increased as the irradiation time passing by and then kept stable. Natural bond orbital (NBO) analysis indicates that the downshift of C≡N bond from 2246 cm- 1 to 2140 cm- 1 is due to the increase of electronic populations of π* orbital of C≡N bond transited from π orbital excited by UV irradiation. The positively charged C≡N bond had more chance to approach negatively charged gold nanoparticles. The detection limit of chlorothalonil was as low as 0.1 ppm in the standard solution. Orange peels spiked with chlorothalonil oil were also detected in this paper to confirm the practical operability of this method. The SERS method may be further developed as a rapid detection of pesticides that contains a triple bond by utilizing photochemistry.

Abstract
Pesticide residues in foodstuffs can lead to several undesirable effects. A simple and high-throughput targeted screening method analyzing multi-residue pesticide in aquaculture water based on ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-Q/Orbitrap mass spectrometry (UHPLC-Q/Orbi MS) was developed and validated. In this technique, the peaks of the compound using precursor ions were recorded by the full scan, which was used for rough quantitative analysis with single point matrix matched calibration. The qualitative identification was performed following the stringent confirmation criteria with fragment ions, retention time, and an isotopic pattern. Additionally, solid-phase extraction with an HLB (Hydrophilic/Lipophilic Balanced) column was selected to enrich and separate target pesticides from water. The screening detection limit of 33 compounds are less than 2 ng·L−1, while 26 compounds range from 2 ng·L−1 to 10 ng·L−1, 19 compounds are at the range of 10–200 ng·L−1, and the other two compounds are 200 ng·L−1 and 1000 ng·L−1. Most of the recovery results were found to be between 60~130%. Finally, the method was successfully applied to the analysis of pesticide residues in 30 water samples from aquaculture environment in Shanghai, indicating its applicability in pesticide screening for environmental monitoring.

Abstract
A luminescence analytical method for the quantification of neonicotinoid pesticides (acetamiprid, clothianidin, dinotefuran, imidacloprid, nitenpyram, thiacloprid, and thiamethoxam) in water samples is proposed. The method is based on the quenching effect that these analytes produce on the time-resolved luminescence signal of terbium ions (excitation/emission wavelengths of 256/545 nm/nm). An enhancement on the analytical signal is observed when surfactants are used in the system. The use of a 0.01 mol·L−1 sodium dodecyl sulfate produced approximately a 30% increase in the sensitivity of the method. Under the optimum conditions, the method presented detection limits between 0.03 and 0.23 µg·mL−1. Interference studies were performed for ions commonly present in waters, observing no interferences. In addition, recovery experiments were performed in different waters, well, spring, and swamp, observing recovery yields close to 100%, with relative standard deviations lower than 4% in all cases. No sample treatment except a filtration step was required. Hence, this method may represent an alternative to other existing methods for the quick and simple analysis of these ubiquitous insecticides in environmental waters.
