Abstract
In the present study, a natural-based heterogeneous catalyst is synthesized. For this purpose, nano-hydroxyapatite (n-HA) is prepared, silica-modified and functionalized with phthalimide. Finally, Ag2+ was immobilized onto n-HA/Si-PA-SC and reduced to Ag nanoparticles by Bellis perennis flowers extract. n-HA/Si-PA-SC@Ag characterized by TGA, FTIR, SEM/EDX, XRD, TEM, BET and ICP-AES techniques. Moreover, metal-ligand interactions in n-HA/Si-PA-SC@Ag complex models were assessed to make a quantitative representation for the immobilization behavior of Ag NPs on the surface of n-HA/Si-PA-SC through quantum chemistry computations. Furthermore, the performance of n-HA/Si-PA-SC@Ag was studied in the nitroarene, methylene blue and congo red reductions. Finally, the recyclability study as well as Ag-leaching verified that, n-HA/Si-PA-SC@Ag was stable and reused-up to four times without losing its activity.

Abstract
1,4-Dihydropyridine (1,4-DHP), a privileged heterocyclic scaffold, has been extensively utilized in various biological and therapeutic applications. In this review article, we discussed the role of different nano-catalysts, nanoflakes, nanocomposites, and other green-supported nanomaterials in the synthesis of a biologically active and vital pharmaceutical precursor 1,4-DHP and its derivatives such as polyhydroquinoline, benzopyranopyridines, and dihydropyridine since 2015. It is evident that although the use of various tailored nanostructures under different conditions to optimize the synthesis of 1,4-DHP and its compounds has provided sustainable and efficient proposals, yet the development of greener practices in the synthesis of 1,4-DHPs, which can be applied to design new synthetic routes and sequences in process development, is a far-reaching task to be accomplished. Single pot multicomponent approaches using different nanomaterials as green catalysts for synthesis of 1,4-dihydropyridine (1,4-DHP), a privileged heterocyclic scaffold with vital biological and therapeutic applications are reviewed. ![]()

Abstract
In this review, we try to highlight the significance, mechanism propositions, computational and experimental assessments of Hantzsch dihydropyridine (DHPs) which readily oxidized to the corresponding pyridines as one of the most important aromatic heterocycles. We also try to give an overview to its ability in transfer hydrogenation, acting as hydride donors from computational and experimental points of view. Our survey is also extended to computational assessments on the structural and biological properties of Hantzsch DHPs.

Abstract
A novel series of N-functionalized 4-aryl-tetrahydrobiquinoline-2,5-(1H,3H)-diones were synthesized in high yields by a one-pot three-component reaction involving 2-chloroquinoline-3-carbaldehydes, Meldrum’s acid, and enaminones (dimedone-based enaminones) in the presence of K2CO3 in CH3CN under reflux condition. To gain a deep insight on the mechanism of the reaction, an extensive series of quantum mechanics calculations in the framework of density functional theory (DFT) were carried out for supporting the suggested reaction pathway.

Abstract
In recent years, metal complexes of organo 1,2,3-triazole click-derived ligands have attracted significant attention as catalysts in many chemical transformations and also as biological and pharmaceutical active agents. Regarding the important applications of these metal-organo 1,2,3-triazole-based complexes, in this review, we focused on the recently reported investigations of the structural, electronic, and spectroscopic aspects of the complexation process in transition metal complexes of 1,2,3-triazole-based click ligands. In line with this, the coordination properties of these triazole-based click ligands with transition metals were studied via several quantum chemistry calculations. Moreover, considering the complexation process, we have presented comparative discussions between the computational results and the available experimental data.
