Abstract
INTRODUCTION Behçet's disease is a chronic vasulitis. The aphtous stomatitis is present in nearly the totality of patients having this disease. AIM The purpose of this study was to evaluate the oral health of Behcet's disease (BD) patients and then compare it with healthy controls. METHODS Twenty patients with BD and 20 healthy subjects were included in this cross-sectional study conducted at the military hospital of Bizerta from 01/10/2017 to 31/05/2019. The level of plaque were recorded using the plaque index (PI). The gingival index (GI) was used to evaluate the gingival inflammation. The depths of the sulci/pockets were probed with a periodontal probe. The clinical attachment loss (CAL) was measured from the cementoenamel junction to the sulcus base. The caries status was scored by using DMFT introduced by Klein and Palmer.The diagnosis of oral lesions was performed using the visual tactile examination. RESULTS The two groups were age, sexe, and socioeconomic level matched. The percentage of oral ulcers was observed to be higher in BD patients compared with healthy controls (40% Vs 5%, p0.01). Statistical significant differences in the two groups' PI (1,19±0,38 Vs 0,86±0,37 ; p=0,011) and GI (1,10±0,30 Vs 0,75±0,36 ; p=0,03) were observed. The probing depth, the CAL and the DMF/T showed no associations with the BD. CONCLUSION Our results showed that gingival health is worse in BD patients. Therfore, the dentist must play an important part in the management of BD and the motivation for the oral hygiene.

Abstract
Background: In Behçet's disease (BD), an auto-inflammatory vasculitis, an unbalanced gut microbiota can contribute to pro-inflammatory reactions. In separate studies, distinct pro- and anti-inflammatory bacteria associated with BD have been identified. Methods: To establish disease-associated determinants, we performed gut microbiome profiling in BD patients from the Netherlands (n = 19) and Italy (n = 13), matched healthy controls (HC) from the Netherlands (n = 17) and Italy (n = 15) and oral microbiome profiling in Dutch BD patients (n = 18) and HC (n = 15) by 16S rRNA gene sequencing. In addition, we used fecal IgA-SEQ analysis to identify specific IgA coated bacterial taxa in Dutch BD patients (n = 13) and HC (n = 8). Results: In BD stool samples alpha-diversity was conserved, whereas beta-diversity analysis showed no clustering based on disease, but a significant segregation by country of origin. Yet, a significant decrease of unclassified Barnesiellaceae and Lachnospira genera was associated with BD patients compared to HC. Subdivided by country, the Italian cohort displays a significant decrease of unclassified Barnesiellaceae and Lachnospira genera, in the Dutch cohort this decrease is only a trend. Increased IgA-coating of Bifidobacterium spp., Dorea spp. and Ruminococcus bromii species was found in stool from BD patients. Moreover, oral Dutch BD microbiome displayed increased abundance of Spirochaetaceae and Dethiosulfovibrionaceae families. Conclusions: BD patients show decreased fecal abundance of Barnesiellaceae and Lachnospira and increased oral abundance of Spirochaetaceae and Dethiosulfovibrionaceae. In addition, increased fecal IgA coating of Bifidobacterium, Ruminococcus bromii and Dorea may reflect retention of anti-inflammatory species and neutralization of pathosymbionts in BD, respectively. Additional studies are warranted to relate intestinal microbes with the significance of ethnicity, diet, medication and response with distinct pro- and inflammatory pathways in BD patients.

Abstract
Innate immunity represents the semi-specific first line of defense and provides the initial host response to tissue injury, trauma, and pathogens. Innate immunity activates the adaptive immunity, and both act highly regulated together to establish and maintain tissue homeostasis. Any dysregulation of this interaction can result in chronic inflammation and autoimmunity and is thought to be a major underlying cause in the initiation and progression of highly prevalent immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs) such as psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel diseases among others, and periodontitis. Th1 and Th2 cells of the adaptive immune system are the major players in the pathogenesis of IMIDs. In addition, Th17 cells, their key cytokine IL-17, and IL-23 seem to play pivotal roles. This review aims to provide an overview of the current knowledge about the differentiation of Th17 cells and the role of the IL-17/IL-23 axis in the pathogenesis of IMIDs. Moreover, it aims to review the association of these IMIDs with periodontitis and briefly discusses the therapeutic potential of agents that modulate the IL-17/IL-23 axis.

Abstract
Oromandibular dystonia (OMD) is a rare focal neurological disorder that affects mouth, face, and jaws. This comprehensive literature review aimed to summarize the current evidence for etiology, diagnosis, and management of OMD and assess the possibility of dental origin of the disease and dental treatment plans for these patients. Different online databases namely PubMed, Google scholar, and Scopus were searched. The keywords "oromandibular dystonia", "orofaciomandibular dystonia", "orofacial-buccal dystonia", "lingual dystonia", "jaw dystonia", "cranial dystonia", and "adult-onset facial dystonia" were searched in the title and abstract of publications from 1970 to 2016. The inclusion criterion was the dental etiology and/or dental treatment. Out of 1260 articles, only 37 articles met the inclusion criteria. OMD can be caused or exacerbated through different dental treatments within which anyone is likely to be involved due to various reasons. Some novel methods employed to relieve this syndrome have led to certain cure or improvement of symptoms in several cases. OMD patients may refer to dentists with involuntary jaw movements and intraoral presentations. Thus, the dentists should be aware of the symptoms and signs and refer the suspicious cases. Dentists should also be familiar with special considerations when managing OMD patients.

Abstract
Aim: Pathologic tooth migration (PTM) has been defined as tooth displacement that occurs when the balance among the factors that maintain physiologic tooth position is disturbed by periodontal disease. The aim of this cross-sectional epidemiological study was to determine the prevalence of pathologic tooth migration among patients with periodontitis. Materials and Methods: Recorded documents of 370 patients (72.4% females, 27.6% males) within the age range of 17 to 70 years (mean 37.77 ± 11.46) were studied. Statistical analysis was carried out using t-test and Chi-square test. Results: Pathologic migration prevalence was 11.4% (35/314 patients), however, there was no pathologic migration in patients with mild chronic periodontitis. The Chi-square test showed that there was no statistically significant difference between males and females. Conclusions: The results of this study confirm that pathologic tooth migration is relatively common among periodontal patients and its prevalence is increased by the severity of periodontal disease.
