Abstract
Objective To identify the worldwide bibliometric characteristics of research on SARS-CoV-2 infection and cerebrovascular disease. Methods A retrospective, descriptive, and bibliometric study was performed. We analyzed 1834 publications about COVID-19 and cerebrovascular disease from the Scopus database considering the time since the beginning of the pandemic between 2019 and 2020. Bibliometric indicators were evaluated such as number of citations, citations per publication by authors, countries, journals, and collaborations at national, international, institutional, and impact levels according to Cite Score Quartile and h-index metrics. All analysis was performed using SciVal software. Results The highest percentage of articles corresponded to universities in the United States, including Harvard and New York with 59 and 20 publications, respectively, and the University of Toronto in Canada with 22 publications. In relation to citation indicators, journals such as Stroke and Journal Stroke and Cerebrovascular diseases obtained 1971 and 561 citations, respectively. Regarding collaboration indicators, the national collaboration index was 39.4% and the institutional collaboration index was 31.1%. Finally, neurology, cardiovascular medicine, and cardiology and surgery were the subject areas with the highest research results, with 424, 217, and 128 studies, respectively. Conclusion It was observed that the United States was the country with the highest scientific production on COVID-19 and cerebrovascular disease in the year 2020 in the different health areas; however, more research is still needed worldwide for a better analysis of the bibliometric indicators on the subject.

Abstract
Introducción: existe poca evidencia sobre el desarrollo de la investigación científica universitaria en el área odontológica en el Perú. Objetivo: determinar la producción científica y la percepción sobre la investigación en estudiantes de Odontología y su relación con el sexo, universidad de procedencia y año de estudio. Métodos: estudio multicéntrico, descriptivo y transversal en una muestra no probabilística de estudiantes de pregrado de siete facultades de Odontología del Perú, a quienes se les entregó un cuestionario estructurado para registrar sus datos generales y su percepción sobre la investigación y la producción científica. Se aplicaron las pruebas chi cuadrado y exacta de Fisher para relacionar las variables de estudio. Resultados: participaron 468 estudiantes con una edad media de 21,7 años (± 3,5), de los cuales 313 (66,9 %) fueron mujeres. La mayoría calificó como regular sus conocimientos en las tres áreas de investigación evaluadas. Se encontró una mayor producción de monografías en los estudiantes de la Sierra (p < 0,001) y mayor producción de reportes clínicos y tesis (p < 0,001) en los estudiantes de quinto y sexto años de estudio. Solo 11 (2,4 %) estudiantes publicaron artículos científicos, la mayoría de las universidades de la costa (p = 0,027) y pertenecientes al quinto y sexto años de estudio (p = 0,003). Conclusiones: la producción científica de los estudiantes de Odontología fue baja. Se encontró relación entre algunas variables de percepción de la investigación con la universidad de procedencia. También hubo relación entre la publicación científica y la elaboración de algunos trabajos académicos con la universidad de procedencia y el año de estudio.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Healthcare workers are under significant constant stress as a result of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. The aim of this study, therefore, was to analyze bibliometrically the impact, trend, and characteristics of scientific production related to the mental health of health professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic. MATERIALS AND METHODS A bibliometric analysis of the scientific production on the mental health of health professionals and COVID-19 in Scopus from December 2019 to December 2021 was performed. An advanced search was designed using Boolean operators in Scopus and applied in April 2022. The metadata was entered into Microsoft Excel for the elaboration of the tables, SciVal to obtain the bibliometric indicators, and VosViewer to plot collaborative networks. RESULTS A total of 1393 manuscripts, 1007 of which met the eligibility criteria, were found on the mental health of health workers and COVID-19. The country with the highest academic production was the United States and Harvard University with 27 manuscripts as the most productive institution. The scientific journal with the highest scientific production was the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health with 138 manuscripts and 1580 citations, and the author with the most citations per publication was Carnnasi Claudia with 69.8. CONCLUSION The countries with the highest economic income occupy the first places in scientific production on the mental health of health workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the United States as the leader. There is a gap in the scientific knowledge on the mental health of healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic in middle- and low-income countries.

Abstract
The objective of this scientometric study was to assess the global trends and characteristics of published occupational health research from 2016 to 2020. The SciVal tool (Elsevier) was used to perform the corresponding bibliometric analyses such as the Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI), Source Normalized Impact per Paper (SNIP), CiteScore, and SCImago Journal Rank (SJR). Most of the manuscripts (46.5%) had national collaboration, with an average of 6.1 citations per paper. However, only 71 manuscripts (5.4%) presented single authorship (without collaboration). It was found that 486 manuscripts related to occupational health were published in Q2 journals (top 26-50%). Scientific publications on occupational health have increased remarkably worldwide, especially in Europe, and have mainly been published in Q1 and Q2 journals with a total of 292 and 289 scientific manuscripts in 2019 and 2020, respectively.

Abstract
Background and Objective The research question was to conduct a comparative analysis of articles published, citations, grants and authors co-occurence in three journals of Public health dentistry namely Journal of Public Health (JIF-1.821), Community Dentistry and Oral Epidemiology (JIF-3.803) and Community Dentistry Health(JIF-1.079). This study was triggered, because of the constant growth of the academic production of articles in the world. The objective of this study is to describe the design of studies published in the period 2011 - 2020 of the three mentioned journals. Material and Methods A retrospective, observational, comparative study was conducted for JPHD, CDOE ad CDH. All issues of JPHD, CDH and CDOE from 2011 to 2020 were manual searched and also assessed through Scopus database. The data were organized and analyzed using software SPSS version 21.0; and citation mapping process using VOSviewer software. Results A total of 1544 articles were retrieved from all the three journals. The largest number of manuscripts was published in the Community Dentistry and Oral Epidemiology journal. The pattern of study design in JPHD (65.69%) and CDH(74.79%) was majorly cross sectional studies followed by cohort studies(19.46%) and randomized controlled trials (8.34%) respectively. In all the three journals, maximum authors were more than three in number. Majority of the original research work focused on oral health such as oral health status, literacy, oral health quality of life. Conclusion The publication pattern in all the three journals were interestingly related to each other; most articles published were original research work intending an enhanced inclination of researchers toward observational affirmations.

Abstract
AIM To analyze the bibliometric characteristics, impact, and visibility of scientific publications on artificial intelligence (AI) in dentistry in Scopus. MATERIALS AND METHODS Descriptive and cross-sectional bibliometric study, based on the systematic search of information in Scopus between 2017 and July 10, 2022. The search strategy was elaborated with Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) and Boolean operators. The analysis of bibliometric indicators was performed with Elsevier's SciVal program. RESULTS From 2017 to 2022, the number of publications in indexed scientific journals increased, especially in the Q1 (56.1%) and Q2 (30.6%) quartile. Among the journals with the highest production, the majority was from the United States and the United Kingdom, and the Journal of Dental Research has the highest impact (14.9 citations per publication) and the most publications (31). In addition, the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin (FWCI: 8.24) and Krois Joachim (FWCI: 10.09) from Germany were the institution and author with the highest expected performance relative to the world average, respectively. The United States is the country with the highest number of published papers. CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE There is an increasing tendency to increase the scientific production on artificial intelligence in the field of dentistry, with a preference for publication in prestigious scientific journals of high impact. Most of the productive authors and institutions were from Japan. There is a need to promote and consolidate strategies to develop collaborative research both nationally and internationally.

Abstract
Objective To perform a bibliometric analysis of scientific production related to gut microbiota and Parkinson's disease between 2011 and 2020. Methods A descriptive, retrospective, cross-sectional, and bibliometric study was carried out. The Scopus database was used as a source to evaluate the worldwide scientific production on intestinal microbiota and its relationship with Parkinson's disease. Data were extracted from Scopus using a formula developed with thesaurus terms MeSH (Medline) and Emtree (Embase). Results A total of 591 documents were found. The retrieved manuscripts received an average of 41.9 citations per document. Four of the 10 most productive authors were Italian. The University of Helsinki (Finland) was the institution with the highest scientific production (19 papers) and the highest impact (5921 citations). In terms of productivity and impact, Movement Disorders ranked first with 38 papers and 2782 citations, and those papers published in Q1 quartile journals exceeded the sum of the remaining quartiles. Papers with international collaboration were the most cited. Keyword analysis showed that the terms Parkinson Disease, Disease, and Intestine Flora were the most frequent. Conclusion The number of papers on Parkinson's disease and gut microbiota has been increasing; however, high-quality journals maintain the same high publication rate. International collaboration from high-income countries played an important role in the impact generated by the publications.

Abstract
Objective. To evaluate Peruvian scientific publications in dentistry according to sex disparity (2011-2020). Methods. This was a retrospective bibliometric study. The unit of analysis was made up of Peruvian dentistry publications indexed in the Scopus database during the last 10 years. Records with metadata (410) corresponding to the period 2011-2020 were downloaded and standardized and refined by analyzing the metadata. The search strategy was developed based on the individual profiles of each Peruvian institution that has a dental school or college. It was evaluated according to the AF-ID of each institution in the Scopus database. In addition, the information provided by the Scopus SciVal tool was used. Finally, publications, impact, and collaboration indicators were used, such as total number per document, per author, average of citations,
-index, collaboration rate, number of institutions, the Source Normalized Impact per Paper indicator, the CiteScore, and the Scopus Field-Weighted Citation Impact. Results. The greatest increase was evident in 2018, with 2019 and 2020 being the maximum peak of scientific publication growth. However, sustained growth has not been evidenced in relation to the female sex. The analysis of coauthorship by the authors revealed four large clusters, of which the first three were represented by male researchers, such as Arriola-Guillen L., Mayta-Tovalino F., and Mendoza-Azpur G., and one by a female, Guerrero María E. Evaluating the national scientific publication in dentistry according to the CiteScore, it was found that most of the publications (145) from Peru were published in Q4 journals, although 90 manuscripts were published in Q1 journals. Conclusions. The Peruvian national dental publication in the last 10 years was mainly supported by male dentists, which invites us to reflect on the need to equalize opportunities so that female researchers can also reduce these gaps.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Bibliometrics is an area that allows for the evaluation of scientific publications by means of different indicators. The aim of this research was to perform a bibliometric study of the scientific production of the International Dental Journal (IDJ) between 2011 and 2020. METHODS All publications of the journal between 2011 and 2020 extracted from the Scopus database were included. The number of publications, most productive institutions, type of collaboration, most productive countries, most cited articles, and authors with the highest academic production were used as bibliographic indicators. It was exported to the SciVal tool for analysis. RESULTS A total of 630 documents published in IDJ by 1947 authors were collected, with a total of 7212 citations (11.4 citations per document). The United States was the country with the highest number of documents (100). The University of Adelaide (Australia) was the institution with the highest scientific production (16 publications), whilst the institution with the highest impact was the Universidade de São Paulo (Brazil), with 12.2 citations per paper. Marc Luiz Tennant was the author with the highest number of published manuscripts (13). Finally, most of the publications had international collaboration (146 documents). CONCLUSIONS IDJ is a high-quality journal and, in the dental field, it has a high impact worldwide, which allows for a greater number of citations of its articles and placing it in the forefront of future research.

Abstract
Objective. To perform a bibliometric analysis of the scientific research on the development of vaccines against dental caries. Methods. An extraction of the scientific production published on the development of vaccines against dental caries between 2011 and 2020 was carried out from the Scopus database. Microsoft Excel was used for the elaboration of tables and SciVal for the bibliometric analysis of the data, which were divided into indicators of production, impact, and collaboration. Finally, VOSviewer was used for co-occurrence analysis of keywords and collaborative networks. Results. 106 studies were retrieved from the Scopus database, which were conducted on the development of dental caries vaccines within the years 2011–2020. Wuhan University, in China, was the university with the highest scientific production on the subject, with 4 publications. Regarding the most productive journals, the first place was occupied by the Journal of Dental Research with 7 publications. The highest percentage of the documents analyzed was in quartile 1 journals and in the national collaboration pattern. Conclusion. Most of the manuscripts regarding the development of vaccines against dental caries were published in China and in Q1 quartile journals. In addition, Yan Huimin, Yang Jingyi, Zhou Dihan, Yang Yi, Li Yuhong and Fan Mingwen were found to top the list of most productive authors. The Journal of Dental Research was also identified as the most productive and cited journal.

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the bibliometric profile of the national academic production of public and private medical schools in Scopus after the publication of a new university law (2015–2020). Methods A descriptive bibliometric study was conducted. The secondary data corresponding to the 42 Peruvian medical schools that had scientific publications in Scopus from 2015 to 2020 were evaluated, and the Affiliation ID of each Peruvian institution was considered. Data were analysed using SciVal. Results The total production of the Peruvian medical schools was 5406 manuscripts (100%), of which 3018 (56%) were included in the ‘clinical medicine' category. The total production of publications in Peru from 2015 to 2020 was 21597 manuscripts, of which medical publications accounted for 7950, with only 5406 manuscripts belonging to the Faculties of Medicine of Peru. The Peruvian Journal of Experimental Medicine and Public Health had published the highest number of manuscripts (500 articles), with an approximate publication citation of two. Conclusion There was a constant increase in the scientific production of Peruvian medical schools from 2015 to 2020. Additionally, it was found that medical publications contribute the most to the total scientific production of Peru.

Abstract
Objective. To evaluate the scientometrics characteristics of the scientific production on the treatment of brain tumors with gamma knife radiosurgery in Scopus. Methods. The Scopus database (Elsevier) was used to collect all relevant studies for this bibliometric analysis. Data was obtained as a .csv file; it was downloaded from Scopus and was exported by SciVal to Microsoft Excel for a presentation using tables for more detailed analysis. The citations and the number of papers for the most productive institutions, authors, countries, and journals publishing scientific papers were analyzed on the use of gamma knife radiosurgery for brain tumors. Results. 458 metadata were obtained from scientific publications, on which inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, leaving 248 studies. The maximum peak of publications was 2018 with 31 publications, and the minimum peak was 2015 with 18. The most related subtopics were neurology, surgery, and oncology, and most of the retrieved papers had only institutional collaboration. As for more productive journals, Journal of Neurosurgery is first with 23 publications; within the countries with the most scientific publications, we have the United States, Japan, and China. With the United States being the country with the highest number of productions, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center was the main university with the highest scientific production and Sheehan and Trifiletti and American authors dominate the list with the highest number of documents. Conclusion. Scientific production regarding gamma knife surgery and brain tumors has been increasing during the last 10 years, with a high incidence during 2018, and the highest number of published articles was in the first quartile. Likewise, the United States is the country with the most publications, authors, and universities on the subject. Greater efforts are still lacking from all countries in the world to reach the quantity and quality of production of the United States.

Abstract
Objective The aim of this study was to evaluate the bibliometric profile of dental scientific production related to coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) in Scopus (2019-2020). Materials and Methods This was a descriptive, observational, comparative, and retrospective study. All manuscripts on COVID-19 in dentistry were published between December 2019 and December 2020. The variables were measured objectively through Scopus (SciVal). For the extraction of the manuscripts, the following keywords were used: "Covid-19" and "Dentistry" with its multiple MeSH terms using the Boolean operators "OR" and "AND". On June 14, 2021, 843 manuscripts corresponding to the period January 2019 to December 2020 were downloaded, normalized, and refined through metadata analysis. Results The largest number of manuscripts was published in the International Journal of Current Research and Review, Oral Oncology, Oral Diseases, British Dental Journal, and Journal of Dental Education with 54, 50, 49, 48, and 44 manuscripts, respectively. These are the most productive indexed scientific journals on COVID-19. The most productive institutions were Saveetha University, Universidade de São Paulo, and King's College London, with 42, 33, and 27 manuscripts, respectively. In 2019, there were only two scientific publications on COVID-19. In 2020, the largest amount, 228 manuscripts, were published in Q1 journals, followed by 210 manuscripts in Q3 journals, and only 194 manuscripts were published in Q4 journals. Conclusions Currently, there is a notable increase in global academic production in Scopus on the impact of COVID-19 in dentistry, whereas Brazil is the only South American country with three highly productive universities.
