Abstract
Aim The purpose of this study was to explore the association between flavonoids intake and chronic low back pain (CLBP). Methods This cross-sectional study analyzed data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. Dietary flavonoids intake was assessed using a two-day recall questionnaire on dietary intake. CLBP was defined based of self-reported question. Weighted univariate and multivariate logistic regression models were performed to evaluate the relationship between flavonoids intake and CLBP. Additionally, subgroup analyses were conducted based on age, sedentary behavior time, arthritis, depression, and sleep disorder. Results A total of 3,136 adults were included, and 460 participants developed CLBP. After adjusting confounders, compared with the lowest total flavonoids intake tertile (reference group), flavonoids intake with highest tertile (>170 mg) was associated with reduced odds of CLBP [odds ratio (OR) =0.74, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.57-0.95]. This relationship of flavonoids intake with CLBP remained statistically significant among participants aged ≥45 years (OR = 0.52, 95%CI: 0.35-0.76), with sedentary behavior time of >3 h (OR = 0.60, 95%CI: 0.41-0.86), with arthritis (OR = 0.51, 95%CI: 0.29-0.90), depression (OR = 0.48, 95%CI: 0.24-0.98), and sleep disorder (OR = 0.27, 95%CI: 0.12-0.60). Conclusion Higher flavonoids intake was found to be negatively associated with the likelihood of CLBP. For the general adult population, consuming foods rich in flavonoids may be linked to a reduced risk of CLBP.

Abstract
BACKGROUND There is currently a lack of comprehensive evidence regarding the correlation between Alternate Mediterranean Diet (AMED) and the survival of patients with ovarian cancer (OC). This prospective cohort study first assessed the association of AMED, not only pre-diagnosis and post-diagnosis but also the change from pre-diagnosis to post-diagnosis with OC survival. METHODS A total of 560 OC patients were included in the study, and their dietary intake was assessed using a reliable 111-item food frequency questionnaire. The overall survival (OS) of the patients was monitored through active follow-up and review of medical records until February 16th, 2023. Cox proportional hazard regression models were utilized to compute the hazard ratios (HRs) and their corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CIs). RESULTS Out of the total 560 patients with OC, 211 (37.68%) succumbed during a median follow-up period of 44.40 months (interquartile range: 26.97-61.37). Comparative analysis indicated a significant association between the highest tertiles of pre-diagnosis (HR = 0.59; 95% CI 0.38-0.90; Ptrend < 0.05) and post-diagnosis (HR = 0.61; 95% CI 0.41-0.91; Ptrend < 0.05) AMED intake and improved OS as opposed to the lowest tertile. Additionally, a significant linear trend was observed for AMED and OC survival. Notably, decreased intake (more than 5% change) and significantly increased intake (more than 15% change) of AMED from pre-diagnosis to post-diagnosis were linked to worse and better OS, respectively, when compared to the stable intake group (change within 5%). Furthermore, patients displaying consistently higher AMED intake both before and after diagnosis experienced enhanced OS in comparison to those with consistently low AMED intake (HRHigh-High vs. Low-Low = 0.47; 95% CI 0.31-0.70). CONCLUSION High pre-diagnosis and post-diagnosis AMED was associated with an improved OS in patients with OC, suggesting that maintaining a consistently high intake of AMED could potentially benefit the prognosis of OC.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study first analyzes the incidence and influencing factors of sleep disorders in Cyber Knife patients during treatment, in order to provide more accurate strategies for clinical prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment. METHODS A total of 101 patients who underwent Cyber Knife treatment at Tumor Diagnosis and Treatment Center, Huashan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University from April 2022 to April 2023 were selected as the research objects. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) was used for evaluation. Patients with PSQI ≥8 points were included in the occurrence group, and patients with PSQI <8 points were included in the non-occurrence group. The general sociological and disease-related characteristics of the patients, such as education, chemotherapy or targeted therapy, somatic symptoms and other features were collected. χ2 test was performed first to determine the difference between two groups, and Logistic regression analysis was used to identify the predictors of sleep disorders in Cyber Knife patients. RESULTS A total of 101 Cyber Knife patients were included in this study, of which 43 patients (42.58%) without sleep disorders were included in the non-occurrence group. There were 22 cases (21.78%) of mild disorder, 22 cases (21.78%) of moderate disorder, and 14 cases (13.86%) of severe disorder, all of which were included in the occurrence group. There were significant differences in education level (primary and junior high schools: 32 (55.17%) vs. 15 (34.88%) patients, p = 0.043), family monthly income (≤5000 CNY (1 USD = 6.48 CNY): 36 (62.07%) vs. 15 (34.88%) patients, p = 0.007), somatic symptoms (35 (60.34%) vs. 17 (39.53%) patients, p = 0.038), self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) (>50: 32 (55.17%) vs. 15 (34.88%) patients, p = 0.043), self-rating depression scale (SDS) (>53: 35 (60.34%) vs. 18 (41.86%) patients, p = 0.038), numerical rating scale (NRS) (>3: 30 (51.72%) vs. 13 (30.23%) patients, p = 0.031) between the group of occurrence and no occurrence group. Education level (odds ratio (OR) = 2.845, p = 0.038), somatic symptoms (OR = 2.666, p = 0.048), SAS (OR = 2.889, p = 0.042), SDS (OR = 2.928, p = 0.027) and NRS (OR = 2.981, p = 0.025) had a statistically significant effect on sleep disorders in Cyber Knife patients. CONCLUSIONS Cyber Knife patients are prone to sleep disorders during treatment. It is necessary to pay more attention to and take measures to reduce the occurrence of sleep disorders in clinical practice.

Abstract
Background The aging global population has led to an increased burden of cognitive impairment in older adults. Objective This study examined the relationship between fermented dairy intake and cognitive function in this population. Methods Yogurt, cheese, and fermented dairy consumption were assessed through two 24-hour dietary recall interviews, categorized into low, medium, and high intake groups. Multivariate linear regression was employed to examine the relationship between fermented dairy intake and cognitive tests, including the Alzheimer's Disease Word Learning Immediate Recall Test (CERAD-IRT), CERAD Delayed Recall Test (CERAD-DRT), Animal Fluency Test (AFT), Digit Symbol Substitution Test (DSST), and global cognitive z-scores, adjusting for potential confounding factors. Results The study comprised 2,462 participants (average age 69.34±6.75 years, 52.07% female). Among yogurt consumers, global cognition and AFT z-scores are notably higher than non-consumers. Conversely, individuals who consume cheese display significantly lower CERAD-DRT z-scores. Compared to participants not intake fermented dairy, consumers of fermented dairy show significantly higher AFT and DSST z-scores and lower CERAD-DRT z-scores. Moreover, when categorizing individuals based on their intake of fermented dairy, those with low and medium consumption show significantly higher AFT and DSST z-scores, as well as significantly lower CERAD-DRT z-scores compared to non-consumers. Conclusions Our study suggests that moderate consumption of fermented dairy products is associated with better executive function and verbal fluency in the elderly.

Abstract
The relationship between diet, sleep duration and cardiovascular disease (CVD) has not been well understood. The aim of the present study was to test the potential modifying role of sleep duration in the association between adherence to the Mediterranean-type diet (MD) and CVD risk. The study consisted of n = 313 initially free-of-CVD adults, from the ATTICA cohort study (2002-2022), with available information on sleep habits. Sleep habits were categorized as inadequate and adequate sleep duration (< or ≥7 h/day, respectively). In multi-adjusted analysis, MD adherence was inversely associated with CVD risk [Hazard Ratio-HR per 1/55 in MedDietScore: 0.80, 95% Confidence Interval-CI: 0.65, 0.98]. A significant interaction between sleep duration and MedDietScore was observed (p < 0.001). In subgroup analysis, the protective association between MD adherence and CVD risk was found only in participants who slept adequately, i.e., >7 h/day [HR:0.80, 95%CI: 0.65, 0.98]. Those who had a high adherence to the MD along with adequate sleep habits, had a 70% reduced 20-year CVD risk [HR:0.30, 95%CI: 0.11, 0.80], compared to those who had a low MD adherence and inadequate sleep habits. Sleep duration should be a part of an individual's lifestyle, together with dietary and other habits, to effectively evaluate CVD risk for future events.

Abstract
We aimed to examine the association of milk intake with sleep disorders and their specific indicators. The current study included 768 adults aged 28-95 from Wenling, China. Milk intake was assessed using a food frequency questionnaire with ten food items, while sleep disorders were measured using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), with higher scores indicating poorer sleep. The participants were divided into two groups according to the average intake of milk per week: rare intake (≤62.5 mL/week) and regular intake (>62.5 mL/week). Primary measurements were multivariate-adjusted odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for the prevalence of sleep disorders concerning regular milk intake compared with rare intake. In secondary analyses, linear regression analyses were performed to assess the effects of milk intake on sleep disorders and their specific dimensions. Regular intake of milk did not have a significant association with sleep disorders compared with rare intake (adjusted OR: 0.72, 95%; CI: 0.51, 1.03), but this association was found to be pronounced with sleep disturbances (OR: 0.49, 95%; CI: 0.28, 0.87). Increased intake of milk was significantly associated with the lower scores of PSQI for sleep quality (β: -0.045, 95%; CI: -0.083, -0.007) and sleep disturbances (β: -0.059, 95%; CI: -0.090, -0.029), respectively. When stratified by age and gender, the benefits of milk intake for sleep disorders and sleep disturbances were more significant in older adults (≥65) and men than in younger persons and women. In summary, regular milk intake benefits sleep quality, which may contribute to nutritional psychiatric support for prevention against sleep disorders.
