Abstract
BACKGROUND Technology is already a part of our daily lives, and its influence is growing rapidly. This evolution has not spared the health care field. Nowadays, a crucial challenge is considering aspects such as design, development, and implementation, highlighting their functionality, ease of use, compatibility, performance, and safety when a new technological tool is developed. As noted in many works, the abandonment rate is usually higher when a user has a terrible experience with these instruments. It would be appropriate to incorporate the final users-whether they are patients, health care professionals, or both-in the stages of instrument design to understand their needs and preferences. Since most apps that fail did not include end users and health care professionals in the development phase, their involvement at all stages of app development may increase their commitment and improve integration, self-management, and health outcomes. OBJECTIVE This study aims (1) to develop semAPP (spatial and episodic memory assessment application), a 360° media-based tool, to assess memory in aging by simulating a real-life situation and (2) to test the usability of the app and the connected experience in an end-user population. METHODS A total of 34 older adults participated in the study: 16 (47%) healthy individuals and 18 (53%) patients with mild cognitive impairment. They used semAPP and completed qualitative and quantitative measures. The app includes 2 parts: object recognition and spatial memory tasks. During the first task, users have to navigate in an apartment freely and visit rooms, and then they must recognize the right map of the house. In the second task, users are immersed in a living room, and they have to encode and then recall some target objects, simulating a relocation. We deployed this app on an 11.2-inch iPad, and we tested its usability and the experience of users interacting with the app. We conducted descriptive analyses for both the entire sample and each subgroup; we also conducted parametric and correlation analyses to compare groups and to examine the relationship between task execution and the virtual experience, as well as the acceptance of technology. RESULTS Both groups judged the app as an easy-to-use tool, and they were willing to use it. Moreover, the results match the idea that usability might be influenced by different factors depending on instrument and personal features, such as presentation, functionality, system performance, interactive behavior, attitudes, skills, and personality. CONCLUSIONS The findings support the possibility of using semAPP in older patients, as well as the importance of designing and evaluating new technological tools, considering not only the general population but also the specific target ones.

Abstract
BACKGROUND We evaluated the feasibility, safety, and efficacy of a 2D-planar robot for minimally supervised home-based upper-limb therapy for post-stroke hemiparesis. METHODS The H-Man, end effector robot, combined with web-based software application for remote tele-monitoring were evaluated at homes of participants. Inclusion criteria were: strokes > 28 days, Fugl-Meyer Motor Assessment (FMA) > 10-60/66, presence of a carer and absence of medical contraindications. Participants performed self-directed, minimally supervised robotics-assisted therapy (RAT) at home for 30 consecutive days, after 2 therapist-supervised clinic on-boarding sessions. Web-based compliance measures were: accessed sessions of > 20 min/day, training minutes/day and active training hours/30 days. Clinical outcomes at weeks 0, 5 (post-training), 12 and 24 (follow-up) consisted of FMA, Action Research Arm Test (ARAT) and WHO-Stroke Specific Quality of Life (SSQOL). To estimate immediate economic benefits of the home-based robotic therapy, we performed cost-effectiveness analysis (CEA), followed by budget impact analysis (BIA). RESULTS Altogether, all 12 participants completed Home-RAT without adverse events; 9 (75.0%) were males, mean (SD) age, 59.4 years (9.5), median (IQR) stroke duration 38.6 weeks (25.4, 79.6) baseline FMA (0-66) 42.1 ± 13.2, ARAT (0-57) 25.4 ± 19.5, SSQOL (0-245) 185.3 ± 32.8. At week 5 follow-up, mean (SD) accessed days were 26.3 days ± 6.4, active training hours of 35.3 h ± 14.7/30 days, or ~ 6 days/week and 77 training minutes ± 20.9/day were observed. Significant gains were observed from baseline across time; ΔFMA 2.4 at week 5 (FMA 44.5, CI 95% 39.7-49.3, p < 0.05) and ΔFMA 3.7 at week 24 (FMA 45.8, CI 95% 40.5-51, p < 0.05); ΔARAT 2.6 at week 5 (ARAT 28.0, CI 95% 19.3-36.7, p < 0.05), and ΔARAT 4.8 at week 24 (ARAT 30.2, CI 95% 21.2-39.1, p < 0.05). At week 5 follow-up, 91% of participants rated their overall experience as satisfied or very satisfied. Incremental CEA observed savings of -S$144/per cure over 24 weeks, BIA-potentially 12% impact reduction over five years. CONCLUSIONS This study demonstrates the feasibility, acceptability, safety, clinical efficacy, and cost-effectiveness of a home-based, web-enabled telemonitored carer-supervised robotics-aided therapy. Abstract
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE Rehabilitation after stroke is essential to minimize permanent disability. Gamification, the integration of game elements into non-game environments, has emerged as a promising strategy for increasing motivation and rehabilitation effectiveness. This article systematically reviews the gamified devices used in stroke rehabilitation and evaluates their impact on emotional, social, and personal effects on patients, providing a comprehensive view of gamified rehabilitation. METHODS A comprehensive search using the PRISMA 2020 guidelines was conducted using the IEEE Xplore, PubMed, Springer Link, APA PsycInfo, and ScienceDirect databases. Empirical studies published between January 2019 and December 2023 that quantified the effects of gamification in terms of usability, motivation, engagement, and other qualitative patient responses were selected. RESULTS In total, 169 studies involving 6404 patients were included. Gamified devices are categorized into four types: robotic/motorized, non-motorized, virtual reality, and neuromuscular electrical stimulation. The results showed that gamified devices not only improved motor and cognitive function but also had a significant positive impact on patients' emotional, social and personal levels. Most studies have reported high levels of patient satisfaction and motivation, highlighting the effectiveness of gamification in stroke rehabilitation. CONCLUSIONS Gamification in stroke rehabilitation offers significant benefits beyond motor and cognitive recovery by improving patients' emotional and social well-being. This systematic review provides a comprehensive overview of the most effective gamified technologies and highlights the need for future multidisciplinary research to optimize the design and implementation of gamified solutions in stroke rehabilitation.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Stroke survivors often face motor dysfunction, increasing fall risk. Lower extremity muscle weakness is a key factor affecting walking ability. Tai chi (TC) has been shown to improve muscle strength and mobility in patients with stroke more effectively than traditional walking training. However, existing TC programmes for stroke rehabilitation are often too simplified and fail to fully use TC's benefits. Additionally, subjective assessment scales are time-consuming and prone to bias. This study proposes integrating TC's early movement features with neurodevelopmental therapy, using surface electromyography and inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensors to thoroughly analyse diverse TC movements. Tailored exercises, based on stroke-induced impairments, will be objectively assessed through biomechanical analysis. METHODS AND ANALYSIS The study unfolds in two phases. The initial phase employs the IMU sensor and electromyography to objectively analyse TC's biomechanics, informing personalised rehabilitation plans aligned with distinct movement impairments. The second phase adopts a randomised, single-blind, parallel controlled trial design involving 60 patients with stroke randomly assigned to either the intervention or control group. The intervention group undergoes biomechanics-based TC training alongside routine rehabilitation for 12 weeks, practicing the 24-form TC three times weekly. The control group engages in routine rehabilitation thrice weekly for the same duration. Primary and secondary outcomes, including kinematic/dynamic data, surface electromyography, motion analysis, comprehensive the international classification of functioning, disability and health Core Set for Stroke, Modified Barthel Index and Fugl-Meyer Assessment, will be evaluated at baseline and post-intervention. ETHICS AND DISSEMINATION The study has received approval from the Ethics Committee of Zhongda Hospital Southeast University (2023ZDSYLL378-P01). All prospective participants will receive comprehensive information regarding the study protocol, and their informed consent will be obtained before their participation. Additionally, the trial will be registered with the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry to ensure transparency and compliance with research regulations. Results from this study will be disseminated through peer-reviewed journals, conference presentations and public databases to ensure wide accessibility and to contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge. Abstract
Background The global prevalence of stroke has been increasing. Motor dysfunction is observed in approximately 55 to 75% of stroke patients, with upper limb impairment affecting around 85% of them. Following upper limb dysfunction, the body's recovery time is not only slower compared to the lower limbs, but the restoration of its fine motor skills is significantly more challenging, greatly impacting the daily lives of patients. Consequently, there is an increasing urgency for study on the upper limb function in stroke. Methods A search was conducted in the Web of Science Core Collection: Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-Expanded) database for material published from January 1, 2004 to December 31, 2023. We included all relevant literature reports and conducted an analysis of annual publications, countries/regions, institutions, journals, co-cited references, and keywords using the software packages CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and Bibliometrix R. Next, we succinctly outlined the research trends and hotspots in post-stroke upper limb dysfunction. Results This analysis comprised 1,938 articles from 1,897 institutions, 354 journals, and 53 countries or regions. A yearly rise in the production of publications was noted. The United States is the foremost nation on the issue. Northwestern University has the most amounts of papers compared to all other institutions. The journal Neurorehabilitation and Neural Repair is a highly significant publication in this field, with Catherine E. Lang serving as the principal author. The majority of the most-cited references focus on subjects such as the reliability and validity of assessment instruments, RCT of therapies, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses. The intervention measures primarily comprise three types of high-frequency phrases that are related, as determined by keyword analysis: intelligent rehabilitation, physical factor therapy, and occupational therapy. Current areas of focus in research include randomized clinical trials, neurorehabilitation, and robot-assisted therapy. Conclusion Current research has shown a growing interest in studying upper limb function assessment, occupational therapy, physical therapy, robot-assisted therapy, virtual reality, brain-computer interface, telerehabilitation, cortical reorganisation, and neural plasticity. These topics have become popular and are expected to be the focus of future research.

Abstract
This study proposes a modular platform to improve the adoption of gamification in conventional physical rehabilitation programs. The effectiveness of rehabilitation is correlated to a patient's adherence to the program. This adherence can be diminished due to factors such as motivation, feedback, and isolation. Gamification is a means of adding game-like elements to a traditionally non-game activity. This has been shown to be effective in providing a more engaging experience and improving adherence. The platform is made of three main parts; a central hardware hub, various wired and wireless sensors, and a software program with a stream-lined user interface. The software interface and hardware peripherals were all designed to be simple to use by either a medical specialist or an end-user patient without the need for technical training. A usability study was performed using a group of university students and a group of medical specialists. Using the System Usability Scale, the system received an average score of 69.25 ± 20.14 and 72.5 ± 17.16 by the students and medical specialists, respectively. We also present a framework that attempts to assist in selecting commercial games that are viable for physical rehabilitation.

Abstract
PURPOSE Neurorehabilitation technologies are a novel approach to providing rehabilitation for patients with neurological conditions. There is a need to explore patient experiences. This study aimed; 1) To identify available questionnaires that assess patients' experiences with neurorehabilitation technologies, and 2) where reported, to document the psychometric properties of the identified questionnaires. MATERIALS AND METHODS Four databases were searched (Medline, Embase, Emcare and PsycInfo). The inclusion criteria were all types of primary data collection that included neurological patients of all ages who had experienced therapy with neurorehabilitation technologies and completed questionnaires to assess these experiences. RESULTS Eighty-eight publications were included. Fifteen different questionnaires along with many self-developed scales were identified. These were categorised as; 1) self-developed tools, 2) specific questionnaire for a particular technology, and 3) generic questionnaires originally developed for a different purpose. The questionnaires were used to assess various technologies, including virtual reality, robotics, and gaming systems. Most studies did not report any psychometric properties. CONCLUSION Many tools have been used to evaluate patient experiences, but few were specifically developed for neurorehabilitation technologies and psychometric data was limited. A preliminary recommendation would be use of the User Satisfaction Evaluation Questionnaire to evaluate patient experience with virtual reality systems.

BACKGROUND Unsupervised robot-assisted rehabilitation is a promising approach to increase the dose of therapy after stroke, which may help promote sensorimotor recovery without requiring significant additional resources and manpower. However, the unsupervised use of robotic technologies is not yet a standard, as rehabilitation robots often show low usability or are considered unsafe to be used by patients independently. In this paper we explore the feasibility of unsupervised therapy with an upper limb rehabilitation robot in a clinical setting, evaluate the effect on the overall therapy dose, and assess user experience during unsupervised use of the robot and its usability. METHODS Subacute stroke patients underwent a four-week protocol composed of daily 45 min-sessions of robot-assisted therapy. The first week consisted of supervised therapy, where a therapist explained how to interact with the device. The second week was minimally supervised, i.e., the therapist was present but intervened only if needed. After this phase, if participants learnt how to use the device, they proceeded to two weeks of fully unsupervised training. Feasibility, dose of robot-assisted therapy achieved during unsupervised use, user experience, and usability of the device were evaluated. Questionnaires to evaluate usability and user experience were performed after the minimally supervised week and at the end of the study, to evaluate the impact of therapists' absence. RESULTS Unsupervised robot-assisted therapy was found to be feasible, as 12 out of the 13 recruited participants could progress to unsupervised training. During the two weeks of unsupervised therapy participants on average performed an additional 360 min of robot-assisted rehabilitation. Participants were satisfied with the device usability (mean System Usability Scale scores > 79), and no adverse events or device deficiencies occurred. CONCLUSIONS We demonstrated that unsupervised robot-assisted therapy in a clinical setting with an actuated device for the upper limb was feasible and can lead to a meaningful increase in therapy dose. These results support the application of unsupervised robot-assisted therapy as a complement to usual care in clinical settings and pave the way to its application in home settings. Abstract
In stroke rehabilitation, simple robotic devices hold the potential to increase the training dosage in group therapies and to enable continued therapy at home after hospital discharge. However, we identified a lack of portable and cost-effective devices that not only focus on improving motor functions but also address sensory deficits. Thus, we designed a minimally-actuated hand training device that incorporates active grasping movements and passive pronosupination, complemented by a rehabilitative game with meaningful haptic feedback. Following a human-centered design approach, we conducted a usability study with 13 healthy participants, including three therapists. In a simulated unsupervised environment, the naive participants had to set up and use the device based on written instructions. Our mixed-methods approach included quantitative data from performance metrics, standardized questionnaires, and eye tracking, alongside qualitative feedback from semi-structured interviews. The study results highlighted the device's overall ease of setup and use, as well as its realistic haptic feedback. The eye-tracking analysis further suggested that participants felt safe during usage. Moreover, the study provided crucial insights for future improvements such as a more intuitive and comfortable wrist fixation, more natural pronosupination movements, and easier-to-follow instructions. Our research underscores the importance of continuous testing in the development process and offers significant contributions to the design of user-friendly, unsupervised neurorehabilitation technologies to improve sensorimotor stroke rehabilitation.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Effective stroke rehabilitation requires high-dose, repetitive-task training, especially during the early recovery phase. However, the usability of upper-limb rehabilitation technology in acute and subacute stroke survivors remains relatively unexplored. In this study, we introduce subacute stroke survivors to MyoGuide, a mobile training platform that employs surface electromyography (sEMG)-guided neurofeedback training that specifically targets wrist extension. Notably, the study emphasizes evaluating the platform's usability within clinical contexts. METHODS Seven subacute post-stroke patients (1 female, mean age 53.7 years, mean time post-stroke 58.9 days, mean duration per training session 48.9 min) and three therapists (one for eligibility screening, two for conducting training) participated in the study. Participants underwent ten days of supervised one-on-one wrist extension training with MyoGuide, which encompassed calibration, stability assessment, and dynamic tasks. All training records including the Level of Difficulty (LoD) and Stability Assessment Scores were recorded within the application. Usability was assessed through the System Usability Scale (SUS) and participants' willingness to continue home-based training was gauged through a self-developed survey post-training. Therapists also documented the daily performance of participants and the extent of support required. RESULTS The usability analysis yielded positive results, with a median SUS score of 82.5. Compared to the first session, participants significantly improved their performance at the final session as indicated by both the Stability Assessment Scores (p = 0.010, mean = 229.43, CI = [25.74-433.11]) and the LoD (p < 0.001; mean: 45.43, CI: [25.56-65.29]). The rate of progression differed based on the initial impairment levels of the patient. After training, participants expressed a keen interest in continuing home-based training. However, they also acknowledged challenges related to independently using the Myo armband and software. CONCLUSIONS This study introduces the MyoGuide training platform and demonstrates its usability in a clinical setting for stroke rehabilitation, with the assistance of a therapist. The findings support the potential of MyoGuide for wrist extension training in patients across a wide range of impairment levels. However, certain usability challenges, such as donning/doffing the armband and navigating the application, need to be addressed to enable independent MyoGuide training requiring only minimal supervision by a therapist.

Abstract
Stroke represents a medical emergency and can lead to the development of movement disorders such as abnormal muscle tone, limited range of motion, or abnormalities in coordination and balance. In order to help stroke patients recover as soon as possible, rehabilitation training methods employ various movement modes such as ordinary movements and joint reactions to induce active reactions in the limbs and gradually restore normal functions. Rehabilitation effect evaluation can help physicians understand the rehabilitation needs of different patients, determine effective treatment methods and strategies, and improve treatment efficiency. In order to achieve real-time and accuracy of action detection, this article uses Mediapipe's action detection algorithm and proposes a model based on MPL-CNN. Mediapipe can be used to identify key point features of the patient's upper limbs and simultaneously identify key point features of the hand. In order to detect the effect of rehabilitation training for upper limb movement disorders, LSTM and CNN are combined to form a new LSTM-CNN model, which is used to identify the action features of upper limb rehabilitation training extracted by Medipipe. The MPL-CNN model can effectively identify the accuracy of rehabilitation movements during upper limb rehabilitation training for stroke patients. In order to ensure the scientific validity and unified standards of rehabilitation training movements, this article employs the postures in the Fugl-Meyer Upper Limb Rehabilitation Training Functional Assessment Form (FMA) and establishes an FMA upper limb rehabilitation data set for experimental verification. Experimental results show that in each stage of the Fugl-Meyer upper limb rehabilitation training evaluation effect detection, the MPL-CNN-based method's recognition accuracy of upper limb rehabilitation training actions reached 95%. At the same time, the average accuracy rate of various upper limb rehabilitation training actions reaches 97.54%. This shows that the model is highly robust across different action categories and proves that the MPL-CNN model is an effective and feasible solution. This method based on MPL-CNN can provide a high-precision detection method for the evaluation of rehabilitation effects of upper limb movement disorders after stroke, helping clinicians in evaluating the patient's rehabilitation progress and adjusting the rehabilitation plan based on the evaluation results. This will help improve the personalization and precision of rehabilitation treatment and promote patient recovery.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To identify, map and synthesize the extent and nature of existing studies on the use of home-based digital technology to support post-stroke upper limb rehabilitation. DATA SOURCES A comprehensive literature search was completed between 30 May 2022 and 05 April 2023, from seven online databases (CINAHL, Cochrane Library, PubMed, ScienceDirect, IEEExplore, Web of Science and PEDro), Google Scholar and the reference lists of already identified articles. METHODS A scoping review was conducted according to Arksey and O'Malley (2005), and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews. All English-language studies reporting on the use of home-based digital technology to support upper limb post-stroke rehabilitation were eligible for inclusion. RESULTS The search generated a total of 1895 records, of which 76 articles met the inclusion criteria. Of these, 52 were experimental studies and the rest, qualitative, case series and case studies. Of the overall 2149 participants, 2028 were stroke survivors with upper limb impairment. The majority of studies were aimed at developing, designing and/or assessing the feasibility, acceptability and efficacy of a digital system for poststroke upper limb rehabilitation in home settings. The thematic analysis found six major categories: Tele-rehabilitation (n = 29), games (n = 45), virtual reality (n = 26), sensor (n = 22), mobile technology (n = 22), and robotics (n = 8). CONCLUSION The digital technologies used in post-stroke upper limb rehabilitation were multimodal, and system-based comprising telerehabilitation, gamification, virtual reality, mobile technology, sensors and robotics. Furthermore, future research should focus to determine the effectiveness of these modalities.

Abstract
Background As the field of robotics and smart wearables continues to advance rapidly, the evaluation of their usability becomes paramount. Researchers may encounter difficulty in finding a suitable questionnaire for evaluating the usability of robotics and smart wearables. Therefore, the aim of this study is to identify the most commonly utilized questionnaires for assessing the usability of robots and smart wearables. Methods A comprehensive search of databases, including PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus, was conducted for this scoping review. Two authors performed the selection of articles and data extraction using a 10-field data extraction form. In cases of disagreements, a third author was consulted to reach a consensus. The inclusions were English-language original research articles that utilized validated questionnaires to assess the usability of healthcare robots and smart wearables. The exclusions comprised review articles, non-English publications, studies not focused on usability, those assessing clinical outcomes, articles lacking questionnaire details, and those using non-validated or researcher-made questionnaires. Descriptive statistics methods (frequency and percentage), were employed to analyze the data. Results A total of 314 articles were obtained, and after eliminating irrelevant and duplicate articles, a final selection of 50 articles was included in this review. A total of 17 questionnaires were identified to evaluate the usability of robots and smart wearables, with 10 questionnaires specifically for wearables and 7 questionnaires for robots. The System Usability Scale (50%) and Post-Study System Usability Questionnaire (19.44%) were the predominant questionnaires utilized to assess the usability of smart wearables. Moreover, the most commonly used questionnaires for evaluating the usability of robots were the System Usability Scale (56.66%), User Experience Questionnaire (16.66%), and Quebec User Evaluation of Satisfaction with Assistive Technology (10%). Conclusion Commonly employed questionnaires serve as valuable tools in assessing the usability of robots and smart wearables, aiding in the refinement and optimization of these technologies for enhanced user experiences. By incorporating user feedback and insights, designers can strive towards creating more intuitive and effective robotic and wearable solutions.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Increasing the dose of therapy delivered to patients with stroke may improve functional outcomes and quality of life. Unsupervised technology-assisted rehabilitation is a promising way to increase the dose of therapy without dramatically increasing the burden on the health care system. Despite the many existing technologies for unsupervised rehabilitation, active rehabilitation robots have rarely been tested in a fully unsupervised way. Furthermore, the outcomes of unsupervised technology-assisted therapy (eg, feasibility, acceptance, and increase in therapy dose) vary widely. This might be due to the use of different technologies as well as to the broad range of methods applied to teach the patients how to independently train with a technology. OBJECTIVE This paper describes the study design of a clinical study investigating the feasibility of unsupervised therapy with an active robot and of a systematic approach for the progressive transition from supervised to unsupervised use of a rehabilitation technology in a clinical setting. The effect of unsupervised therapy on achievable therapy dose, user experience in this therapy setting, and the usability of the rehabilitation technology are also evaluated. METHODS Participants of the clinical study are inpatients of a rehabilitation clinic with subacute stroke undergoing a 4-week intervention where they train with a hand rehabilitation robot. The first week of the intervention is supervised by a therapist, who teaches participants how to interact and train with the device. The second week consists of minimally supervised therapy, where the therapist is present but intervenes only if needed as participants exercise with the device. If the participants properly learn how to train with the device, they proceed to the unsupervised phase and train without any supervision during the third and fourth weeks. Throughout the duration of the study, data on feasibility and therapy dose (ie, duration and repetitions) are collected. Usability and user experience are evaluated at the end of the second (ie, minimally supervised) and fourth (ie, unsupervised) weeks, allowing us to investigate the effect of therapist absence. RESULTS As of April 2023, 13 patients were recruited and completed the protocol, with no reported adverse events. CONCLUSIONS This study will inform on the feasibility of fully unsupervised rehabilitation with an active rehabilitation robot in a clinical setting and its effect on therapy dose. Furthermore, if successful, the proposed systematic approach for a progressive transition from supervised to unsupervised technology-assisted rehabilitation could serve as a benchmark to allow for easier comparisons between different technologies. This approach could also be extended to the application of such technologies in the home environment, as the supervised and minimally supervised sessions could be performed in the clinic, followed by unsupervised therapy at home after discharge. Abstract
METHOD Participants included 30 children and adolescents (23 males, 13 females) with cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular diseases, aged 6-18. Data were collected and compared at baseline and after 12 weeks of home-based practice via a powered wheelchair or a simulator. Powered mobility ability was determined by the Powered Mobility Program (PMP), the Israel Ministry of Health's Powered Mobility Proficiency Test (PM-PT) and the Assessment of Learning Powered Mobility (ALP). RESULTS All participants practiced for the required amount of time and both groups reported a similar user experience. Both groups achieved significant improvement following the practice period as assessed by the PMP and PM-PT assessments, with no significant differences between them. A significant improvement was found in the ALP assessment outcomes for the powered wheelchair group only. CONCLUSIONS This is the first study, to our knowledge, that compares two different wheelchair training methods. Simulator-based practice is an effective training option for powered mobility for children with physical disabilities aged 6-18 years old, demonstrating that it is possible to provide driving skill practice opportunities safe, controlled environments.

Abstract
Compensatory movements are commonly observed post-stroke and can negatively affect long-term motor recovery. In this context, a system that monitors movement quality and provides feedback would be beneficial. In this study, we aimed to detect compensatory movements during seated reaching using a conventional tablet camera and an open-source markerless body pose tracking algorithm called MediaPipe [1]. We annotated compensatory movements of stroke patients per frame based on the comparison between the paretic and non-paretic arms. We trained a binary classification model using the XGBoost algorithm to detect compensatory movements, which showed an average accuracy of 0.92 (SD 0.07) in leave-one-trial-out cross-validation across four participants. Although we observed good model performance, we also encountered challenges such as missing landmarks and misalignment, when using MediaPipe Pose. This study highlights the feasibility of using near real-time compensatory movement detection with a simple camera system in stroke rehabilitation. More work is necessary to assess the generalizability of our approach across diverse groups of stroke survivors and fully implement near real-time compensatory movement detection on a mobile device.

Abstract
Rehabilitation robots are helpful in poststroke telerehabilitation; however, their feasibility and rehabilitation effectiveness in clinical settings have not been sufficiently investigated. A non-randomized controlled trial was conducted to investigate the feasibility of translating a telerehabilitation program assisted by a mobile wrist/hand exoneuromusculoskeleton (WH-ENMS) into routine clinical services and to compare the rehabilitative effects achieved in the hospital-service-based group (n = 12, clinic group) with the laboratory-research-based group (n = 12, lab group). Both groups showed significant improvements (p ≤ 0.05) in clinical assessments of behavioral motor functions and in muscular coordination and kinematic evaluations after the training and at the 3-month follow-up, with the lab group demonstrating better motor gains than the clinic group (p ≤ 0.05). The results indicated that the WH-ENMS-assisted tele-program was feasible and effective for upper limb rehabilitation when integrated into routine practice, and the quality of patient-operator interactions physically and remotely affected the rehabilitative outcomes.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Robotic therapy and serious gaming support motor learning in neurorehabilitation. Traditional monitor-based gaming outputs cannot adequately represent the third dimension, whereas virtual reality headsets lack the connection to the real world. The use of Augmented Reality (AR) techniques could potentially overcome these issues. The objective of this study was thus to evaluate the usability, feasibility and functionality of a novel arm rehabilitation device for neurorehabilitation (RobExReha system) based on a robotic arm (LBR iiwa, KUKA AG) and serious gaming using the AR headset HoloLens (Microsoft Inc.). METHODS The RobExReha system was tested with eleven adult inpatients (mean age: 64.4 ± 11.2 years; diagnoses: 8 stroke, 2 spinal cord injury, 1 Guillain-Barré-Syndrome) who had paretic impairments in their upper limb. Five therapists administered and evaluated the system. Data was compared with a Reference Group (eleven inpatients; mean age: 64.3 ± 9.1 years; diagnoses: 10 stroke, 1 spinal cord injury) who trained with commercially available robotic therapy devices (ArmeoPower or ArmeoSpring, Hocoma AG). Patients used standardized questionnaires for evaluating usability and comfort (Quebec User Evaluation of Satisfaction with assistive technology [QUEST]), workload (Raw Task Load Index [RTLX]) and a questionnaire for rating visual perception of the gaming scenario. Therapists used the QUEST, the System Usability Scale and the short version of the User Experience Questionnaire. RESULTS Therapy with the RobExReha system was safe and feasible for patients and therapists, with no serious adverse events being reported. Patients and therapists were generally satisfied with usability. The patients' usability ratings were significantly higher in the Reference Group for two items of the QUEST: reliability and ease of use. Workload (RTLX) ratings did not differ significantly between the groups. Nearly all patients using the RobExReha system perceived the gaming scenario in AR as functioning adequately despite eight patients having impairments in stereoscopic vision. The therapists valued the system's approach as interesting and inventive. CONCLUSIONS We demonstrated the clinical feasibility of combining a novel robotic upper limb robot with an AR-serious game in a neurorehabilitation setting. To ensure high usability in future applications, a reliable and easy-to-use system that can be used for task-oriented training should be implemented. TRIAL REGISTRATION Ethical approval was obtained and the trial was registered at the German Clinical Trials Register (DRKS00022136).

Abstract
Advancements in modern medicine have bolstered the usage of home-based rehabilitation services for patients, particularly those recovering from diseases or conditions that necessitate a structured rehabilitation process. Understanding the technological factors that can influence the efficacy of home-based rehabilitation is crucial for optimizing patient outcomes. As technologies continue to evolve rapidly, it is imperative to document the current state of the art and elucidate the key features of the hardware and software employed in these rehabilitation systems. This narrative review aims to provide a summary of the modern technological trends and advancements in home-based shoulder rehabilitation scenarios. It specifically focuses on wearable devices, robots, exoskeletons, machine learning, virtual and augmented reality, and serious games. Through an in-depth analysis of existing literature and research, this review presents the state of the art in home-based rehabilitation systems, highlighting their strengths and limitations. Furthermore, this review proposes hypotheses and potential directions for future upgrades and enhancements in these technologies. By exploring the integration of these technologies into home-based rehabilitation, this review aims to shed light on the current landscape and offer insights into the future possibilities for improving patient outcomes and optimizing the effectiveness of home-based rehabilitation programs.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Digital advancement of power assisted exercise equipment will advance exercise prescription for people with stroke (PwS). This article reports on the remote usability evaluation of a co-designed graphical user interface (GUI) and denotes an example of how video-conference software can increase reach to participants in the testing of rehabilitation technologies. The aim of this study was to evaluate the usability of two sequential versions of the GUI. METHODS We adopted a mixed methods approach. Ten professional user (PU) (2M/8F) and 10 expert user (EU) participants (2M/8F) were recruited. Data collection included a usability observation, a 'think aloud' walk through, task completion, task duration and user satisfaction as indicated by the Post Study System Usability Questionnaire (PSSUQ). Identification of usability issues informed the design of version 2 which included an additional submenu. Descriptive analysis was conducted upon usability issues and number of occurrences detected on both versions of the GUI. Inferential analysis enabled comparison of task duration and PSSUQ data between the PU and EU groups. RESULTS Analysis of the 'think aloud' walkthrough data enabled identification of 22 usability issues on version 1 from a total of 100 usability occurrences. Task completion for all tasks was 100%. Eight usability issues were directly addressed in the development of version 2. Two recurrent and 24 new usability issues were detected in version 2 with a total of 86 usability occurrences. Paired two tailed T-tests on task duration data indicated a significant decrease amongst the EU group for task 1.1 on version 2 (P = 0.03). The mean PSSUQ scores for version 1 was 1.44 (EU group) and 1.63 (PU group) compared with 1.40 (EU group) and 1.41 (PU group) for version 2. CONCLUSIONS The usability evaluation enabled identification of usability issues on version 1 of the GUI which were effectively addressed on the iteration of version 2. Testing of version 2 identified usability issues within the new submenu. Application of multiple usability evaluation methods was effective in identifying and addressing usability issues in the GUI to improve the experience of PAE for PwS. The use of video-conference software to conduct synchronous, remote usability testing is an effective alternative to face to face testing methods.

Abstract
Interest in home-based stroke rehabilitation mechatronics, which includes both robots and sensor mechanisms, has increased over the past 12 years. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the existing lack of access to rehabilitation for stroke survivors post-discharge. Home-based stroke rehabilitation devices could improve access to rehabilitation for stroke survivors, but the home environment presents unique challenges compared to clinics. The present study undertakes a scoping review of designs for at-home upper limb stroke rehabilitation mechatronic devices to identify important design principles and areas for improvement. Online databases were used to identify papers published 2010-2021 describing novel rehabilitation device designs, from which 59 publications were selected describing 38 unique designs. The devices were categorized and listed according to their target anatomy, possible therapy tasks, structure, and features. Twenty-two devices targeted proximal (shoulder and elbow) anatomy, 13 targeted distal (wrist and hand) anatomy, and three targeted the whole arm and hand. Devices with a greater number of actuators in the design were more expensive, with a small number of devices using a mix of actuated and unactuated degrees of freedom to target more complex anatomy while reducing the cost. Twenty-six of the device designs did not specify their target users' function or impairment, nor did they specify a target therapy activity, task, or exercise. Twenty-three of the devices were capable of reaching tasks, 6 of which included grasping capabilities. Compliant structures were the most common approach of including safety features in the design. Only three devices were designed to detect compensation, or undesirable posture, during therapy activities. Six of the 38 device designs mention consulting stakeholders during the design process, only two of which consulted patients specifically. Without stakeholder involvement, these designs risk being disconnected from user needs and rehabilitation best practices. Devices that combine actuated and unactuated degrees of freedom allow a greater variety and complexity of tasks while not significantly increasing their cost. Future home-based upper limb stroke rehabilitation mechatronic designs should provide information on patient posture during task execution, design with specific patient capabilities and needs in mind, and clearly link the features of the design to users' needs.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Neuromotor rehabilitation and improvement of upper limb functions are necessary to improve the life quality of patients who have experienced injuries or have pathological outcomes. Modern approaches, such as robotic-assisted rehabilitation can help to improve rehabilitation processes and thus improve upper limb functions. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the role of robots in upper limb disability improvement and rehabilitation. METHODS This scoping review was conducted by search in PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and IEEE (January 2012- February 2022). Articles related to upper limb rehabilitation robots were selected. The methodological quality of all the included studies will be appraised using the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool (MMAT). We used an 18-field data extraction form to extract data from articles and extracted the information such as study year, country, type of study, purpose, illness or accident leading to disability, level of disability, assistive technologies, number of participants in the study, sex, age, rehabilitated part of the upper limb using a robot, duration and frequency of treatment, methods of performing rehabilitation exercises, type of evaluation, number of participants in the evaluation process, duration of intervention, study outcomes, and study conclusions. The selection of articles and data extraction was made by three authors based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Disagreements were resolved through consultation with the fifth author. Inclusion criteria were articles involving upper limb rehabilitation robots, articles about upper limb disability caused by any illness or injury, and articles published in English. Also, articles involving other than upper limb rehabilitation robots, robots related to rehabilitation of diseases other than upper limb, systematic reviews, reviews, and meta-analyses, books, book chapters, letters to the editor, and conference papers were also excluded. Descriptive statistics methods (frequency and percentage) were used to analyses the data. RESULTS We finally included 55 relevant articles. Most of the studies were done in Italy (33.82%). Most robots were used to rehabilitate stroke patients (80%). About 60.52% of the studies used games and virtual reality rehabilitate the upper limb disabilities using robots. Among the 14 types of applied evaluation methods, "evaluation and measurement of upper limb function and dexterity" was the most applied evaluation method. "Improvement in musculoskeletal functions", "no adverse effect on patients", and "Safe and reliable treatment" were the most cited outcomes, respectively. CONCLUSIONS Our findings show that robots can improve musculoskeletal functions (musculoskeletal strength, sensation, perception, vibration, muscle coordination, less spasticity, flexibility, and range of motion) and empower people by providing a variety of rehabilitation capabilities.

Abstract
IntroductionRobotic therapy allow to propose sessions of controlled and identical exercises, customizing settings, and characteristics on the individual patient. The effectiveness of robotic assisted therapy is still under study and the use of robots in clinical practice is still limited. Moreover, the possibility of treatment at home allows to reduce the economic costs and time to be borne by the patient and the caregiver and is a valid tool during periods of pandemic such as covid. The aim of this study is to assess whether a robotic home-based treatment rehabilitation using the iCONE robotic device has effects on a stroke population, despite the chronic condition of patients involved and the absence of a therapist next to the patient while performing the exercises.Materials and methodsAll patients underwent an initial (T0) and final (T1) assessment with the iCONE robotic device and clinical scales. After T0 evaluation, the robot was delivered to the patient's home for 10 days of at-home treatment (5 days a week for 2 weeks).ResultsComparison between T0 and T1 evaluations revealed some significant improvements in robot-evaluated indices such as Independence and Size for the Circle Drawing exercise and Movement Duration for Point-to-Point exercise, but also in the MAS of the elbow. From the analysis of the acceptability questionnaire, a general appreciation of the robot emerged: patients spontaneously asked for the addition of further sessions and to continue therapy.DiscussionTelerehabilitation of patients suffering from a chronic stroke is an area that is still little explored. From our experience, this is one of the first studies to carry out a telerehabilitation with these characteristics. The use of robots can become a method to reduce the rehabilitation health costs, to ensure continuity of care, and to arrive in more distant places or where the availability of resources is limited.ConclusionFrom the data obtained, this rehabilitation seems to be promising for this population. Moreover, promoting the recovery of the upper limb, iCONE can improve patient's quality of life. It would be interesting to conduct RCT studies to compare a conventional treatment in structure with a robotic telematics treatment.

Abstract
Motivated behaviours are thought to lead to enhanced performances. In the neurorehabilitation field, motivation has been demonstrated to be a link between cognition and motor performance, therefore playing an important role upon rehabilitation outcome determining factors. While motivation-enhancing interventions have been frequently investigated, a common and reliable motivation assessment strategy has not been established yet. This review aims to systematically explore and provide a comparison among the existing motivation assessment tools concerning stroke rehabilitation. For this purpose, a literature search (PubMed and Google Scholar) was performed, using the following Medical Subject Headings terms: "assessment" OR "scale" AND "motivation" AND "stroke" AND "rehabilitation". In all, 31 randomized clinical trials and 15 clinical trials were examined. The existing assessment tools can be grouped into two categories: the first mirroring the trade-off between patients and rehabilitation, the latter reflecting the link between patients and interventions. Furthermore, we presented assessment tools which reflect participation level or apathy, as an indirect index of motivation. In conclusion, we are left to put forth a possible common motivation assessment strategy, which might provide valuable incentive to investigate in future research.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Elimination and Choice Translating Reality (ELECTRE) III is a commonly used multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) method when alternatives are being prioritized in health sciences. The selection of the rehabilitation approach is the key factor to improve the upper extremity functions of stroke patients. Thus, choosing a reasonably good treatment approach will directly reduce the patient's cost to the government and caregivers, while also improving quality of life. The aim of our study was to prioritize the six different methods used in the rehabilitation of stroke patients with mild or moderate upper extremity dysfunction, using one of the MCDM methods based on experts' opinions. METHODS A three-stage face-to-face interview across Turkey, based on the ELECTRE-III method, was conducted with 18 physiotherapists specializing in the rehabilitation of mild or moderate stroke-induced upper extremity disorders. RESULTS According to ELECTRE-III, Circuit Class Therapy (CCT) is the best choice for treating upper extremity functional loss in general. It is also the best alternative in both the ascending and descending distillation processes of ELECTRE-III. On the other hand, Bobath neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT) has a similar success level according to ascending distillation. Mirror therapy and constraint-induced movement therapy are the third-best methods in the analysis. However, robotic rehabilitation is the least preferable treatment method according to the experts' judgments. CONCLUSIONS The results showed that rehabilitation interventions such as Bobath-NDT and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, which are frequently used in developing countries, are still useful, and CCT is the most appropriate intervention for the transition from conventional methods to innovative models in these countries.

Abstract
Standing up from a seated position is a prerequisite for any kind of physical mobility but many older persons have problems with the sit-to-stand (STS) transfer. There are several exosuits available for industrial work, which might be adapted to the needs of older persons to support STS transfers. However, objective measures to quantify and evaluate such systems are needed. The aim of this study was to quantify the possible support of an exosuit during the STS transfer of geriatric patients. Twenty-one geriatric patients with a median age of 82 years (1.-3.Q. 79-84 years) stood up at a normal pace (1) from a chair without using armrests, (2) with using armrests and (3) from a bed with pushing off, each condition with and without wearing an exosuit. Peak angular velocity of the thighs was measured by body-worn sensors. It was higher when standing up with exosuit support from a bed (92.6 (1.-3.Q. 84.3-116.2)°/s versus 79.7 (1.-3.Q. 74.6-98.2)°/s; p = 0.014) and from a chair with armrests (92.9 (1.-3.Q. 78.3-113.0)°/s versus 77.8 (1.-3.Q. 59.3-100.7)°/s; p = 0.089) compared to no support. There was no effect of the exosuit when standing up from a chair without using armrests. In general, it was possible to quantify the support of the exosuit using sensor-measured peak angular velocity. These results suggest that depending on the STS condition, an exosuit can support older persons during the STS transfer.

Abstract
Background Telerehabilitation offers patients alternative access to therapy and has become more prominent during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the increasing attractiveness of such programs, there are research gaps regarding the required competencies in the demand-oriented technology use in rehabilitative care. Objective The study aims at collecting evidence on competencies required by patients and health professionals for using telerehabilitation. We analyse tasks and requirements associated with telerehabilitation and derive and systematise relevant competencies. Methods We conducted a scoping review and analysed MEDLINE, Psyndex, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science for empirical studies and grey literature from 2017 to May 2022. Articles had to be in English/German and refer to medical rehabilitation accompanied by health professionals taking place in the patient's home. Results One hundred ten articles were included, covering video conferencing systems, applications with video, audio, or visual therapy content, or wearables. Depending on the program, tasks before, during, and after therapy sessions differ, as do whether these are performed by health professionals, patients, or the technology. Users need digital, health-related, social, personal, and health professionals also professional competencies. This comprises telerehabilitation, technical, health-related, and clinical knowledge, a range of physical, cognitive, social-interactive, technical, and clinical skills, a positive attitude towards telerehabilitation and experience. Whether sociodemographic factors promote successful use is unclear. Conclusions Telerehabilitation requires a variety of different competencies from patients and health professionals - going beyond the sphere of technical skills. This highlights the need for an evaluation of existing programs for promoting competencies in the use of telerehabilitation and refinement of the programs in line with demands.

Abstract
PURPOSE OF REVIEW Stroke is a common cause of disability in aging adults. A given individual's needs after stroke vary as a function of the stroke extent and location. The purpose of this review was to discuss recent clinical investigations addressing rehabilitation of an array of overlapping functional domains. RECENT FINDINGS Research is ongoing in the domains of movement, cognition, attention, speech, language, swallowing, and mental health. To best assist patients' recovery, innovative research has sought to develop and evaluate behavioral approaches, identify and refine synergistic approaches that augment the response to behavioral therapy, and integrate technology where appropriate, particularly to introduce and titrate real-world complexity and improve the overall experience of therapy. Recent and ongoing trials have increasingly adopted a multidisciplinary nature - augmenting refined behavioral therapy approaches with methods for increasing their potency, such as pharmaceutical or electrical interventions. The integration of virtual reality, robotics, and other technological advancements has generated immense excitement, but has not resulted in consistent improvements over more universally accessible, lower technology therapy.

Abstract
Stroke is the main reason for disabilities of increasing geriatric population. It affects brain and motor function domains significantly reducing the life quality. Recent coronavirus pandemic raised a question on changing approaches to deliver post-stroke rehabilitation services to geriatric patients due to their high risk of serious illness. This paper presents an overview of current telerehabilitation approaches for motor function recovery and balance training of post-stroke patients. We used papers from peer-reviewed medical journals on stroke telerehabilitation. The review showed exergames, virtual reality (VR), web-platforms, and applications are extensively used in rehabilitation programs to gain clinical outcomes among geriatric stroke patients. Findings indicate telerehabilitation improves older patients’ functional ability via systematic training, positively affecting their life quality. The treatment therapy of older adults using telerehabilitation can be organized synchronously and asynchronously in home-based environment or in-clinic conditions. Telerehabilitation can be used as complementary therapy or as an alternative to conventional treatment. However, further research is required to test a variety of telerehabilitation systems using larger samples of post-stroke geriatric patients.

Abstract
BACKGROUND: Stroke is the main reason for disabilities worldwide leading to motor dysfunction, spatial neglect and cognitive problems, aphasia, and other speech-language pathologies, reducing the life quality. To overcome disabilities, telerehabilitation (TR) has been recently introduced. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this review was to analyze current TR approaches for stroke patients’ recovery. METHODS: We searched 6 online databases from January 2018 to October 2021, and included 70 research and review papers in the review. We analyzed TR of 995 individuals, which was delivered synchronously and asynchronously. RESULTS: Findings show TR is feasible improving motor function, cognition, speech, and language communication among stroke patients. However, the dose of TR sessions varied significantly. We identified the following limitations: lack of equipment, software, and space for home-based exercises, insufficient internet capacity and speed, unavailability to provide hands on guidance, low digital proficiency and education, high cognitive demand, small samples, data heterogeneity, and no economic evaluation. CONCLUSIONS: The review shows TR is superior or similar to conventional rehabilitation in clinical outcomes and is used as complementary therapy or as alternative treatments. More importantly, TR provides access to rehabilitation services of a large number of patients with immobility, living in remote areas, and during COVID-19 pandemic or similar events.

Abstract
Growing evidence shows that increasing the dose of upper limb therapy after stroke might improve functional outcomes and unsupervised robot-assisted therapy may be a solution to achieve such an increase without adding workload on therapists. However, most of existing robotic devices still need frequent supervision by trained personnel and are currently not designed or ready for unsupervised use. One reason for this is that most rehabilitation devices are not capable of delivering and adapting personalized therapy without external intervention. Here we present a set of clinically-inspired algorithms that automatically adapt therapy parameters in a personalized way and guide the course of robot-assisted therapy sessions. We implemented these algorithms on a robotic device for hand rehabilitation and tested them in a pilot study with 5 subacute stroke subjects over 10 robot-assisted therapy sessions, some of which unsupervised. Results show that our algorithms could adapt the therapy difficulty throughout the whole study without requiring external intervention, maintaining performance around a predefined 70% target value (mean performance for all the subjects over all the sessions: 64.5%). Moreover, the algorithms could guide patients through the therapy sessions, minimizing the number of actions that subjects had to learn and perform. These results open the door to the use of robotic devices in an unsupervised setting to increase therapy dose after stroke.

Abstract
As the number of stroke survivors is continuously growing, with an important number suffering from consequent functional deficits, the rehabilitation field is facing more complex demands. Technological progress gives us the opportunity to remotely assist patients while they exercise at home through telerehabilitation (TR), addressing the problems of limited medical resources and staff, difficult transportation, or living a long distance from rehabilitation centers. In addition, TR is a way to provide continuity in long-term post-stroke recovery during the COVID-19 pandemic, which limits traveling and human interaction. While the implementation of TR is increasing, the biggest challenges are to raise patients’ acceptability of the new method and their motivation and engagement during the program. In this review, we aimed to find methods to address these challenges by identifying the patients who benefit the most from this therapy and efficiently organizing the space and technology used for telerehabilitation. User-friendly technologies and devices along with therapists’ constant support and feedback are some of the most important aspects that make TR an efficient intervention and an alternative to conventional therapy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Neurorehabilitation engineering faces numerous challenges to translating new technologies, but it is unclear which of these challenges are most limiting. Our aim is to improve understanding of rehabilitation therapists' real-time decision-making processes on the use of rehabilitation technology (RT) in clinical treatment. METHODS We used a phenomenological qualitative approach, in which three OTs and two PTs employed at a major, technology-encouraging rehabilitation hospital wrote vignettes from a written prompt describing their RT use decisions during treatment sessions with nine patients (4 with stroke, 2 traumatic brain injury, 1 spinal cord injury, 1 with multiple sclerosis). We then coded the vignettes using deductive qualitative analysis from 17 constructs derived from the RT literature and the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR). Data were synthesized using summative content analysis. RESULTS Of the constructs recorded, the five most prominent are from CFIR determinants of: (i) relative advantage, (ii) personal attributes of the patients, (iii) clinician knowledge and beliefs of the device/intervention, (iv) complexity of the devices including time and setup, and (v) organizational readiness to implement. Therapists characterized candidate RT as having a relative disadvantage compared to conventional treatment due to lack of relevance to functional training. RT design also often failed to consider the multi-faceted personal attributes of the patients, including diagnoses, goals, and physical and cognitive limitations. Clinicians' comfort with RT was increased by their previous training but was decreased by the perceived complexity of RT. Finally, therapists have limited time to gather, setup, and use RT. CONCLUSIONS Despite decades of design work aimed at creating clinically useful RT, many lack compatibility with clinical translation needs in inpatient neurologic rehabilitation. New RT continue to impede the immediacy, versatility, and functionality of hands-on therapy mediated treatment with simple everyday objects.
