Abstract
Objective To explore the research hotspots in acupuncture treatment for myopia from 2014 to 2023. Methods A comprehensive search was conducted in the Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCI-E) within the Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC). We used CiteSpace 6.2.R6 to perform an in-depth analysis of the annual publication trends, prolific authors, institutions, keyword co-occurrences, and citation bursts. The study followed the PICO framework: the population (P) includes studies on patients with myopia, the intervention (I) is acupuncture treatment, no direct comparison (C) is applied, and the primary outcome (O) focuses on the identification of research trends and hotspots. Major outcome assessments included the analysis of publication trends over time, author productivity, influential journals, and the detection of emerging research topics through citation burst analysis. This bibliometric analysis was conducted on November 15, 2023. Results A total of 281 articles were included in the analysis. The trend line of annual publications over the past decade showed a modest increase, with a significant decline in 2019 and a surge in 2021. China and its affiliated academic institutions led globally in publication volume, with Ma Xiaopeng being the most prolific author and Fudan University the most influential institution. Ophthalmology emerged as the journal with the highest citation frequency. The most frequently occurring keywords were related to adolescent myopia and its complications. The developmental trajectory of the field is distinct, characterized by the integration of a single discipline. Conclusion Acupuncture shows promise as a complementary and alternative therapy for treating myopia, with growing interest in its clinical efficacy and mechanisms of action. Future research is likely to focus on optimizing treatment protocols and understanding the underlying biological mechanisms of acupuncture in myopia management.

Abstract
Objective This study aims to examine the trends in machine learning application to meningiomas between 2004 and 2023. Methods Publication data were extracted from the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E) within the Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC). Using CiteSpace 6.2.R6, a comprehensive analysis of publications, authors, cited authors, countries, institutions, cited journals, references, and keywords was conducted on December 1, 2023. Results The analysis included a total of 342 articles. Prior to 2007, no publications existed in this field, and the number remained modest until 2017. A significant increase occurred in publications from 2018 onwards. The majority of the top 10 authors hailed from Germany and China, with the USA also exerting substantial international influence, particularly in academic institutions. Journals from the IEEE series contributed significantly to the publications. "Deep learning," "brain tumor," and "classification" emerged as the primary keywords of focus among researchers. The developmental pattern in this field primarily involved a combination of interdisciplinary integration and the refinement of major disciplinary branches. Conclusion Machine learning has demonstrated significant value in predicting early meningiomas and tailoring treatment plans. Key research focuses involve optimizing detection indicators and selecting superior machine learning algorithms. Future efforts should aim to develop high-performance algorithms to drive further innovation in this field.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Ankylosing spondylitis (AS), a chronic inflammatory disease predominantly causing back pain, affects up to 0.5% of the global population, more commonly in males. Frequently undiagnosed in early stages, AS is often associated with comorbid depression and anxiety, imposing significant healthcare burdens. Despite available pharmaceutical treatments, exercise therapy (ET) has emerged as an effective, side-effect-free alternative, particularly for managing AS-induced back pain. This study aims to explore the research trends in ET for treating AS back pain from 2004-2023. MATERIAL AND METHODS A comprehensive analysis of 437 articles, sourced from the Science Citation Index-Expanded within the Web of Science Core Collection, was conducted using CiteSpace 6.2.R5. This study spanned from 2004 to October 15, 2023, examining publications, authors, institutions, and keywords to assess keyword co-occurrences, temporal progressions, and citation bursts. RESULTS Research interest in ET for AS began escalating around 2008 and has since shown steady growth. The USA emerged as a significant contributor, with Van der Heijde, Desiree, and RUDWALEIT M being notable authors. Key institutions include Assistance Publique Hopitaux Paris and UDICE-French Research Universities, with ANN RHEUM DIS being the most influential journal. The field's evolution is marked by interdisciplinary integration and branching into various sub-disciplines. CONCLUSIONS Exercise therapy for AS-induced back pain is a growing research area, necessitating further exploration in clinical management and rehabilitation strategies. The relationship between ET and osteoimmunological mechanisms remains a focal point for future research, with a trend towards personalized and interdisciplinary treatment approaches.

Abstract
Background The COVID-19 pandemic has caused over 656 million confirmed cases and over 6.6 million deaths worldwide. Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is considered a high-risk factor for COVID-19; therefore, considerable research has been conducted in this field. Therefore, this study aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis of publications related to COVID-19 and CKD. Methods Publications were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection database on 16 January 2023 and screened based on inclusion criteria. Then the authors used Microsoft Excel and CiteSpace to analyze the included publications from the following seven aspects: countries/regions, institutions, journals, authors, cited references, and keywords. Results In total, 622 publications were included in the study. The USA has the most publications in this field, followed by China. The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Harvard Medical School had the highest number of publications in the field. Journal of Clinical Medicine had the largest number of publications, and Lancet was the most cited journal. Alberto Ortiz was the author with the largest number of publications, but there were no influential authors in this field. The highly cited references are mainly clinical studies on COVID-19. Research hotspots in this field include end-stage recent disease, cardiovascular disease, kidney metastasis, diabetes Mellitus, acute kidney injury, meta-analysis, and consistent plasma. Conclusions The USA, China, and some European countries and their institutions are major contributors to these publications. End-stage renal disease, acute kidney injury, kidney transplantation and convalescent plasma are current hot topics in the field.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE Since its initial report by James Parkinson in 1817, Parkinson's disease (PD) has remained a central subject of research and clinical advancement. The disease is estimated to affect approximately 1% of adults aged 60 and above. Deep brain stimulation, emerging as an alternative therapy for end-stage cases, has offered a lifeline to numerous patients. This review aimed to analyze publications pertaining to the impact of deep brain stimulation on the motor pathway in patients with PD over the last decade. METHODS Data were obtained from the Web of Science Core Collection through the library of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (China). The search strategy encompassed the following keywords: "deep brain stimulation", "Parkinson's disease", "motor pathway", and "human", from January 1, 2012, to December 1, 2022. Additionally, this review visualized the findings using the Citespace software. RESULTS The results indicated that the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and China were the primary contributors to this research field. University College London, Capital Medical University, and Maastricht University were the top 3 research institutions in the research area. Tom Foltynie ranked first with 6 publications, and the journals of Brain and Brain Stimulation published the greatest number of relevant articles. The prevailing research focal points in this domain, as determined by keywords "burst analysis", "encompassed neuronal activity", "nucleus", "hyper direct pathway", etc. CONCLUSION: This study has provided a new perspective through bibliometric analysis of the deep brain stimulation therapy for treating patients with PD, which can shed light on future research to advance our comprehension of this particular field of study.
