Abstract
OBJECTIVE Mental health lived experience organizations (LEOs) and their lived experience workforce are increasingly recognized as invaluable. However, a deeper understanding of the elements that enhance or inhibit LEOs' efficacy is required to learn how to sustain LEOs and support their workforce. Rapid international expansion has resulted in significant LEO growth and change, challenging many LEOs to adapt. With this rapid expansion, the field is evolving faster than many LEOs can keep pace with. This review, codesigned and coproduced in partnership with a LEO to draw on both lived experience and academic perspectives, aims for a deeper understanding of which elements within a LEO enhance or inhibit its efficacy, growth, and support for its lived experience workforce. METHODS A systematic search of peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed literature, following the PRISMA-ScR guidelines and JBI methodology, identified 60 records published in English between 2000 and 2022. RESULTS The results indicate general agreement regarding which LEO elements are important (e.g., culture, leadership, board composition, organizational structure, financial arrangements, and professionalization). However, considerable disagreements exist regarding the relative influence of several of these elements, especially funding arrangements, in which funder and LEO values often diverge; training for increased lived experience professionalization; and partnerships with medical model-focused mental health services. CONCLUSIONS Organizational disagreements relate to managing future LEO growth and advancing the lived experience workforce while preserving LEOs' unique characteristics that make them valued mental health services. Further research should examine community differences among LEOs, including hybrid LEOs within services and non-LEO mental health organizations.

Abstract
Background The occurrence of orofacial pain is often accompanied by comorbid conditions such as depression. Even though previous studies suggested a bidirectional correlation between orofacial pain and psychological factors, some studies still provided contradictory results. Objective This systematic review aimed at providing scientific evidence regarding the association between orofacial pain and depression in published literature. Methods The current study is a systematic literature review (PROSPERO registration no. CRD42023438596) that was conducted by reviewing cross-sectional studies that investigated the association between orofacial pain and depression. Article selection was conducted based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidance. Articles searching was performed by using three databases, namely PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Scopus using the Boolean operator method. Article screening was carried out by applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, as well as duplication checking, suitability checking, and compatibility checking. Reviewed articles went through the risk of bias evaluation form from the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). Extracted data were analyzed in a qualitative method. Results Twelve studies that were conducted on 5557 participants were included in the final review. After all articles were analyzed, the correlation between orofacial pain and depression was revealed. Most articles revealed a positive correlation between orofacial pain and depression, and the rest showed how orofacial pain patients showed significantly higher depression scores compared to those individuals without orofacial pain. Conclusion The results of this systematic review suggested a correlation between orofacial pain and depression with varying degrees. Incorporating potential depressive symptoms' treatment, when treating orofacial pain patients, should be part of the treatment plan.

Abstract
Introduction Even though there have been few studies on coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), data on patients with coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) infection show that cardiac surgery has poor outcomes in this subset. From the available studies in the literature, we conducted a systematic review with the aim of determining the outcome of COVID-19 patients who underwent CABG. Methods Between December 2019 and October 2022, searches were conducted in PubMed, the Directory of Open Access Journals, and Google Scholar to find studies reporting results of COVID-19 patients undergoing CABG. We extracted data on the clinical profile and outcomes of the patients from the eligible studies. The quality of the studies was assessed using a standardised tool. Results The total sample size across the 12 included studies was 99 patients who underwent CABG in active disease or within 30 days of COVID-19 infection. The median and interquartile range (IQR) for the length of time spent on a mechanical ventilator, stay in the intensive care unit (ICU), and the total hospital stay were 0.9 (0.47-2), 4.5 (2.5-8), and 12.5 (8.5-22.5) days respectively. Seventy-six patients developed postoperative complications, and there were eleven deaths. Conclusion The findings of the present study indicate that mortality risk goes down when the time between COVID-19 diagnosis and surgery increases. When compared to data from other high-risk urgent or emergent CABG patients around the world who were not infected with COVID-19, patients who underwent CABG in the COVID-19 subgroup had similar postoperative outcomes. Abstract
BACKGROUND Mucormycosis is a life-threatening opportunistic infection. The present systematic review was done to provide to date summary of the frequency of rhino-orbital-mucormycosis (ROM) cases following a tooth extraction, as there was no systematic review present till now to highlight it. METHOD The PubMed, PMC, Google Scholar, and Ovid Embase databases were searched thoroughly with appropriate keywords till April 2022 including the human population with language restrictions including English literature to collate case reports and case series regarding post-extraction Mucormycosis. All the details of the patient's characteristics were extracted and presented as a table and evaluated on different endpoints. RESULTS In total, we identified 31 case reports and 1 case series that results in 38 cases with Mucormycosis. The majority of patients belong to India (47. 4%). There was male predominance (68.4%) and involvement of maxilla was the most. Pre-existing diabetes mellitus (DM)(55.3%) was an independent risk factor for mucormycosis. The median period for the onset of symptoms was 30(14-75) days. 21.1% of cases presented signs and symptoms of cerebral involvement allied with DM. CONCLUSION Dental extraction can trigger ROM by rupturing the oral mucous membrane. Clinicians should pay attention to the non-healing extraction socket which may be an early clinical manifestation of it, which is the key to tackling this deadlier infection.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Revitalization is a type of regenerative endodontic treatment (RET) that offers the exciting prospect of revitalizing damaged tissue, therefore improving outcomes for non-vital immature teeth. To evaluate its potential, there needs to be consistency in outcome reporting of clinical studies investigating revitalization to allow for evidence synthesis and inform clinical decision making. OBJECTIVES The aim of this scoping review was to identify outcomes that are reported in systematic reviews on revitalization including how and when these outcomes are measured. Additionally, evidence of selective reporting bias in the reviews was assessed. METHODS A comprehensive electronic search of healthcare databases and grey literature was conducted to identify systematic reviews published in the English language reporting outcomes of revitalization in permanent immature teeth. There was no restriction on the date of publication. Outcome data was extracted by four reviewers independently and mapped with a healthcare taxonomy into five core areas: survival, clinical/physiological changes, life impact, resource use and adverse events. Selective reporting bias and how it was measured was assessed independently by two reviewers. RESULTS Twenty-six systematic reviews were included in this scoping review. There was lack of standardization in reporting and significant heterogeneity across reviews in outcome endpoints. The outcomes reported could be aligned within the five core areas of the taxonomy including tooth survival which was reported in nine reviews. Patient-reported outcomes were generally limited and no review reported on Oral Health Related Quality of Life. Many of the reviews reporting on randomized control trials were at low risk of selective reporting bias whilst other study designs were at higher risk. DISCUSSION Consistency in outcome reporting is necessary to realize the benefits of old but particularly novel therapies. Data from this review confirmed heterogeneity in reporting outcomes of revitalization and the need for development of a core outcome set (COS). CONCLUSIONS Several important outcomes including survival, root development, tooth discolouration and periapical healing have been identified in this review which could inform the development of a COS in this area. Abstract
BACKGROUND Current treatment of immature necrotic permanent teeth with a periapical lesion is regenerative endodontics, which is based on tissue engineering under the triade of stem cells, scaffolds and bioactive molecules. OBJECTIVES This Umbrella Review was aimed to evaluate the success of scaffold and regenerative materials used for the treatment of these teeth, in terms of apical closure, tooth length increase, widening of root canal walls, tissue vitality and periapical lesion repair. METHODS An extensive literature research was carried out in the Medline, ISI Web of Science, and Scopus databases for relevant systematic reviews matching the keyword search strategy. Based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, reviewers independently rated the quality of each study to determine their level of evidence. Methodological quality assessment of each article was obtained using A Measurement Tool to Assess Systematic Reviews (AMSTAR)-2 tool, and risk of bias was assessed with the Risk of Bias in Systematic Reviews (ROBIS) tool. RESULTS After removing duplicates, 155 articles were found; from which 133 were excluded for being non-relevant and 15 other due to exclusion criteria. One more was discarded after methodological quality evaluation, for a total of six articles remaining. The most common scaffold used was the blood clot, others used were poly lactic-co-glycolic acid and platelet-rich fibrin matrix. The most common regeneration material used was Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA), followed by Biodentine. An increase in tooth length and widening of root canal walls were reported in all selected studies with different proportions, as well as periapical lesion repair. ROBIS analysis showed that only one article had low bias, two were classified as unclear bias, while the remaining three had high risk of bias. DISCUSSION An exhaustive literature search was carried out applying language filters, high-quality indexed journals, year of publication, which ensures the best quality articles were included. Blood clot was the most used scaffold as is the most easy to place inside the canal and does not require to extract blood from the patient. The use of MTA and Biodentine as sealing materials has been associated with thickening of canal walls, apical closure and reduced signs and symptoms of apical periodontitis. However, most of the included reviews assessed were case reports and only in a few of them were clinical trials included. There is also a lack of risk of bias analysis in most reviews. CONCLUSION The blood clot is the most common scaffold used for inducing regeneration during the treatment of immature necrotic teeth. Tooth length increase and widening of root canal walls are the most common criteria used in the studies as success indicators. MTA and Biodentine did not show differences in the results analysed. Quality assessment and bias risk evaluation showed that it is necessary to design better studies with rigorous methodology to recommend a trustable and predictable protocol for the treatment of immature necrotic permanent teeth with periapical lesions. Abstract
AIM: The aim of this study is to evaluate the antimicrobial effect of pre-synthesized novel antibiotic loaded electrospun nanofibers and compare it with conventional triple antibiotic paste when used in patients with immature necrotic teeth.
METHODS: Antibiotic loaded nanofibers were fabricated by electrospinning. Thirty-four patients with immature necrotic teeth were included in the study. In the first visit, access cavity preparation was performed to obtain the first bacteriological sample (S1). The canals were thoroughly irrigated using sodium hypochlorite 1.5% and a second sampling was performed (S2). Patients were randomly divided into two groups according to the intracanal medicament used: Modified triple antibiotic paste (MTAP) loaded electrospun nanofibers or MTAP paste. At the second appointment, the third samples (S3) were taken. The intracanal bacterial count was determined using the spread plate culture technique. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to examine the morphology of the fabricated MTAP loaded electrospun nanofibers.
RESULTS: Both MTAP nanofibers and MTAP paste resulted in significant reduction of bacterial count after the irrigation step. MTAP nanofibers resulted in significantly higher percent reduction of bacterial count (p < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONS: It was concluded that electrospinning technology can be used to fabricate antibiotic containing nanofibers which can results in enhanced disinfection in regenerative endodontic procedures.

Abstract
Background:
Atypical odontalgia (AO) is a poorly understood condition of orofacial pain and is often misdiagnosed. The pharmacological approach varies from case to case. This may be due to the differences in etiology, clinical symptoms, as well as comorbidities in each patient.
Objective:
This systematic review aimed at identifying and comprehending the adequate pharmacological approaches in AO management.
Methods:
In this systematic review, case reports that used pharmacological approach(es) as part of the AO management in the last 10 years (2010 to 2020) were reviewed using the PRISMA analysis guidelines. Initial screening was performed using keywords and inclusion criteria in several databases. Subsequently, further screening was carried out by checking for any duplication, followed by an assessment of the title and abstract and the entire content of the case report. All three authors were independently involved in studies selection based on the inclusion criteria, data extraction, and bias assessment.
Results:
Five hundred and ninety-five articles were identified from the initial search. The final result consisted of eleven case reports reviewed in this study. The use of antidepressants in AO management was reported in eight cases, anticonvulsants in five cases, antipsychotic in two cases, opioid analgesics in two cases, and topical analgesics in two cases.
Conclusion:
Based on this systematic review, various pharmacological agents showed adequate results as AO management. Antidepressants seemed to be the most effective ones (PROSPERO registration ID: CRD42021245918).

Abstract
INTRODUCTION More data are needed before affirming that single-visit approaches are effective and safe for regenerative endodontic procedures (REPs). This study compared clinical and radiographic outcomes of REPs between interappointment dressing or single-visit protocols. METHODS Twenty young patients presenting traumatized immature teeth with pulp necrosis were divided into 2 groups. Teeth were submitted to 6% sodium hypochlorite and 2% chlorhexidine irrigation and to 17% EDTA use before blood clot induction. In the interappointment dressing group (n = 11), calcium hydroxide was used with 2% chlorhexidine gel for 21 days before scaffold induction. In the single-visit group (n = 9), the scaffold was induced during the only appointment. Patients were followed up for 24 months. Primary, secondary, and tertiary outcomes were assessed by 3 independent evaluators. Preoperative and follow-up radiographs were assessed for quantitative measurements of the apical diameter, root width, root length, and cervical barrier placement and compared between groups using the t test or Mann-Whitney U test. Categoric variables were assessed with the G test and the Fisher exact test and continuous variables with the Mann-Whitney U test. Statistical significance was set at 5%. RESULTS One tooth showed persistence of infection. No difference was observed in cervical barrier placement (P > .05); between groups regarding primary, secondary, and tertiary outcomes (P > .05); and in parameters of quantitative radiographic outcomes (P > .05). CONCLUSIONS Completing REPs with an interappointment dressing or a single-visit protocol presented similar clinical and radiographic outcomes. A single-visit protocol of REPs using 6% sodium hypochlorite, 2% chlorhexidine, and 17% EDTA permitted satisfactory outcomes in necrotic immature permanent teeth.

Abstract
The Regenerative Endodontic Procedure (REP) is a biologically based method in which a damaged pulp-dentin complex is replaced by a new vital tissue. This umbrella review aimed to critically assess the available systematic reviews (SRs) on REP. An electronic database search was conducted (PubMed-Medline, CENTRAL, Scielo, Web of Science, and LILACS) until December 2020. Studies were included if they were an SR on REP. The Risk of Bias (RoB) of SRs was analyzed using the Measurement Tool to Assess SRs criteria 2 (AMSTAR2). The primary outcome was the methodological quality in each specific section of REP protocols and outcomes. From 403 entries, 29 SRs were included. Regarding the methodological quality, ten studies were of critically low, three of low, fourteen of moderate, and two were rated as high quality. The quality of evidence produced by the available SRs was not favorable. Future high standard SRs and well-designed clinical trials are warranted to better elucidate the clinical protocols and outcomes of REP.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Malaria remains highly endemic in Cameroon. The rapid emergence and spread of drug resistance was responsible for the change from monotherapies to artemisinin-based combinations. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to determine the prevalence and distribution of Plasmodium falciparum drug resistance markers within an evolving efficacy of anti-malarial drugs in Cameroon from January 1998 to August 2020. METHODS The PRISMA-P and PRISMA statements were adopted in the inclusion of studies on single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of P. falciparum anti-malarial drug resistance genes (Pfcrt, Pfmdr1, Pfdhfr, Pfdhps, Pfatp6, Pfcytb and Pfk13). The heterogeneity of the included studies was evaluated using the Cochran's Q and I2 statistics. The random effects model was used as standard in the determination of heterogeneity between studies. RESULTS Out of the 902 records screened, 48 studies were included in this aggregated meta-analysis of molecular data. A total of 18,706 SNPs of the anti-malarial drug resistance genes were genotyped from 47,382 samples which yielded a pooled prevalence of 35.4% (95% CI 29.1-42.3%). Between 1998 and 2020, there was significant decline (P < 0.0001 for all) in key mutants including Pfcrt 76 T (79.9%-43.0%), Pfmdr1 86Y (82.7%-30.5%), Pfdhfr 51I (72.2%-66.9%), Pfdhfr 59R (76.5%-67.8%), Pfdhfr 108 N (80.8%-67.6%). The only exception was Pfdhps 437G which increased over time (30.4%-46.9%, P < 0.0001) and Pfdhps 540E that remained largely unchanged (0.0%-0.4%, P = 0.201). Exploring mutant haplotypes, the study observed a significant increase in the prevalence of Pfcrt CVIET mixed quintuple haplotype from 57.1% in 1998 to 57.9% in 2020 (P < 0.0001). In addition, within the same study period, there was no significant change in the triple Pfdhfr IRN mutant haplotype (66.2% to 67.3%, P = 0.427). The Pfk13 amino acid polymorphisms associated with artemisinin resistance were not detected. CONCLUSIONS This review reported an overall decline in the prevalence of P. falciparum gene mutations conferring resistance to 4-aminoquinolines and amino alcohols for a period over two decades. Resistance to artemisinins measured by the presence of SNPs in the Pfk13 gene does not seem to be a problem in Cameroon. Systematic review registration PROSPERO CRD42020162620.

Abstract
This report describes the second attempt at pulp revascularisation, using an association between 2% chlorhexidine (CHX) and calcium hydroxide (CH) as intracanal dressing, in an immature traumatised anterior tooth with pulp necrosis. A 21-year-old woman complained of pain and dental crown darkening of a permanent maxillary right central incisor. Her medical records presented a history of dental trauma, and at age 15, the first attempt at revascularisation was performed, using triple antibiotic paste (TAP) as the intracanal dressing. Recent radiographs then showed a periapical lesion associated with an immature root, which demonstrated the failure of the first attempt. The second pulp revascularisation was performed, using an association between CHX and CH as intracanal medication. The case was followed up for 24 months. Observations showed evidence of root development, dentinal wall thickening and periapical healing. In this case, the association between CHX and CH showed favourable results as an intracanal medication.
