Abstract
INTRODUCTION AND IMPORTANCE The occurrence of more than one tumor originating from the same or different organs is the definition of multiple primary tumors. According to the time of diagnosis, these tumors are classified into two types: metachronous and synchronous tumors. Trichoblastoma is a rare benign skin tumor that is rarely involved in multiple primary tumors, especially in patients with breast cancer. CASE PRESENTATION A 60-year-old male with left breast and lateral chest wall masses. Lastly, he has been diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma of the left breast and chest wall trichoblastoma as metachronous primary tumors with no significant genetic background. CLINICAL DISCUSSION With the development in the medical field, such tumors are being encountered more. Some authors suggest a relationship between these tumors and genetic mutations. Although rare trichoblastomas can be transformed into malignant tumors and get metastasized. CONCLUSION The diagnosis and management of primary tumors can be challenging in some cases. Researchers should focus on further exploration of the genetic bases and risk factors of such tumors.

Abstract
The incidence of breast and colorectal cancers is well established in studies, but the synchronous occurrence of the two types of tumors is a rarity. In general, they are discovered during screening investigations following the diagnosis of an initial tumor. OBJECTIVE Our aim is to describe the main diagnostic and therapeutic challenges for synchronous breast and colorectal tumors. MATERIALS AND METHODS We performed a systematic review of the literature for cases or case series, using established keywords (synchronous breast and colon tumor and synonyms) for the period of 1970-2023. Five reviewers independently screened the literature, extracted data, and assessed the quality of the included studies. The results were processed according to the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. RESULTS A total of 15 cases were included in the study, including 2 males (age 50 and 57) and 13 females (median age 60, with range from 40 to 79). In a vast majority of the cases, the diagnosis of synchronous tumor was prompted by the first tumor's workup. The first diagnosed tumor was colorectal in nine cases and a breast tumor in six cases. The most common histopathological type of breast tumor was invasive ductal carcinoma, and the colon tumors were exclusively adenocarcinomas. All cases had a surgical indication for both breast and colorectal tumor, except one case, in which the breast tumor had multiple metastasis. In four cases, the surgery was performed concomitantly (colectomy and mastectomy). In three cases, surgery was initially carried out for the breast tumor, followed by colon surgery. Oncological treatment was indicated depending on the tumor stage. CONCLUSIONS For the treatment of synchronous tumors, the Tumor Board (T.B) decision is mandatory and must be personalized for each patient. Developing new methods of treatment and investigation may play an important role in the future for understanding synchronous tumor development, incidence, and outcome.

Abstract
Introduction Multiple primary malignant neoplasms (MPMNs) are cancers presenting distinct pathological types that originate from different tissues or organs. They are categorized as either synchronous or metachronous. Nowadays, the incidence of MPMN is increasing. Patients and methods We present a case of a 71-year-old male patient with a medical history of hepatitis B and a family history of breast and endometrial cancers. The patient reported a nasal tip skin lesion with recurrent bleeding, and the history disclosed lower urinary tract symptoms. Further investigations revealed the coexistence of four primary cancers: basosquamous carcinoma of the nasal lesion, prostatic adenocarcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, and clear cell renal cell carcinoma. Results A multidisciplinary team cooperated to decide the proper diagnostic and therapeutic modules. Conclusion To the best of our knowledge, the synchronization of these four primary cancers has never been reported in the literature. Even so, multiple primary malignant neoplasms, in general, are no longer a rare entity and need proper explanations, a precise representation of definition and incidence, further work-up approaches, and treatment guidelines as well.

Abstract
PURPOSE To investigate the value of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT) in breast cancer (BC) with second primary malignancies (SPMs). MATERIALS AND METHODS 149 BC patients (149/1419, 10.5 %) ultimately diagnosed with SPMs were included in the study. The following data were evaluated: age, location, the treatment of the first BC, the interval between the first BC and SPMs, the maximum diameter of SPMs, the maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax) of SPMs, and SPMs metastases. The overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) of follow-up patients were analyzed. The diagnostic efficiency of 18F-FDG PET/CT for SPMs and consistency with the pathological findings were calculated. RESULTS The most common SPMs of BC was lung cancer (81/149, 54.4 %), particularly early-stage lung adenocarcinoma. There were the shorter maximum diameter of SPMs, the lower SUVmax of SPMs, and the fewer SPMs metastases in the lung cancer group than non-lung cancer group (P<0.001). The OS and PFS of the follow-up patients in the lung cancer group were longer than non-lung cancer group (P<0.001). The SPMs metastases was independent prognostic indicator of OS. The pathological grouping and the SPMs metastases were independent prognostic indicators of PFS. 18F-FDG PET/CT efficacy in diagnosing SPMs in BC patients was high. Compared with the pathological findings, the consistency was good (P = 0.010). CONCLUSION Applying 18F-FDG PET/CT in BC patients might be helpful in detecting SPMs and partially predicting patient prognosis, in addition to its primary function in the diagnosis and staging of BC.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Multiple primary cancers (MPCs) have attracted attention in medical research due to their increasing incidence. The coexistence of invasive breast carcinoma and clear cell carcinoma of the kidney, alongside a family history of cancer, highlights the multifactorial origins of MPCs, particularly their potential association with genetic factors. CASE PRESENTATION A 70-year-old female initially sought medical attention for a two-year history of a right breast lump as her primary concerns centered on the long-standing lump. Clinical evaluations and imaging studies revealed an invasive breast carcinoma diagnosis, and simultaneously, an incidental mass in her left kidney was identified as clear cell carcinoma. DISCUSSION Emphasis and further researh should be on the potential role of genetic factors in MPC development, necessitating comprehensive genetic evaluations. CONCLUSION This study highlights the significance of customized treatment approaches for each malignancy, facilitating early detection, improved patient outcomes, and an enhanced understanding of MPCs.

Abstract
Multiple primary malignant tumours (MPMTs) are multiple neoplasms with independent pathogenetic origins, placing great importance on the tumorigenesis and clinical treatment. However, due to the rare occurrence and diagnostic confusion, MPMTs have rarely been investigated in veterinary medicine. In this report, a 10-year-old intact female Maltese dog had MPMTs, consisting of two malignant tumours and one benign tumour each derived from a topographically different site: tubular carcinoma in the mammary glands, leiomyosarcoma in the uterus and sebaceous epithelioma in the cheek. The unique combination of MPMTs would be the first case in veterinary research to give insight into the diagnosis, disease characteristics, and surgical treatment.

Abstract
PURPOSE Breast cancer (BC) and colorectal cancer (CRC) are common in female. This study compared survival time between women affected with both cancers with ones with single BC or single CRC. METHOD Medical records of subjects with both BC & CRC (June 1, 2010, to June 30, 2021) were reviewed. Age-matched subjects who had BC or CRC alone were used as control. Survival analysis using Kaplan-Meier method was performed. RESULT There were 63 double cancers [40 BC first (DBC): 23 CRC first (DCRC), mean age±SD 60.5±9.9 and 60.9±12.2 years] and 76 subjects in single cancer group [53 SBC: 23 SCRC, mean age 57.4±11.3 and 61.1±12.5 years]. The 5-year survival rate of the double cancer group was 74.6% and the single cancer group was 63.2%. D-group had slightly longer survival time than S-group (116.5±4.0 vs. 101.3±5.5, p=0.055). In D-group, the occurrence of addition of other primary cancers were more common (p=0.015). The second cancer occurred 61.7±45.3 months later in DBC group, and 39.1±26.6 months later in DCRC group (p=0.016). SCRC had shorter survival time vs. DCRC group (p=0.031). SBC and DBC had no different in mean survival time. CONCLUSION BC and CRC could occur as a part of multiple primary cancers. Detection of more than one cancer did not lead to decrease survival if the second cancer was early detected and treated. The occurrence of the second cancer might be beyond 5 years after the diagnosis of the first cancer. Thus, longer surveillance may be warranted. Awareness and provision of early screening should be offered to individuals diagnosed with either primary cancer. Detection of more than one cancer did not lead to shorter survival.

Abstract
Multiple primary malignant neoplasms (MPMN) are defined as two or more primary malignancies diagnosed in an individual. There is no association between these cancers, which can be classified into synchronous and heterochronous cancers depending on the time of diagnosis. The present study presented a rare case of bilateral breast, endometrial, cervical and ovarian cancers. Through thorough physical examination, pathology and immunohistochemistry, it could be determined that bilateral breast, endometrial and cervical cancers were primary malignant tumors and that ovarian cancer cannot be excluded as a result of metastasis. the present study also summarized the definitions, risk factors, prevalence characteristics, diagnostic ideas and treatment options for MPMN by reviewing the literature.

Abstract
Introduction Colonic volvulus is a common cause of large bowel obstruction with the sigmoid colon most commonly affected. Volvulus of the transverse colon is an uncommon occurrence. Rarer still is a transverse colon volvulus developing after surgery for a sigmoid colon volvulus. Early diagnosis is critical as delay in detection and intervention is associated with the risk of complications - perforation, peritonitis, and death. Case presentation We report the case of an 86-year-old man who presented with features of large bowel obstruction 14 months following a sigmoid colectomy for a sigmoid colon volvulus. Conclusion A metachronous transverse colonic volvulus is uncommon. Preoperative diagnosis is challenging as there are no defining radiographic features compared to the volvulus of the sigmoid colon with the classical omega sign. Most cases are diagnosed intra-operatively. Bowel resection and anastomosis in a single stage is a safe option.

Abstract
Since the popularization of cancer screening and an improvement in treatment over the last two decades, multiple primary malignant neoplasms (MPMNs) have been increasingly reported. We report a patient who developed metachronous MPMNs in the breast, the endometrium, and the pancreas over a period of 13 years. A 42-year-old woman was first diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent breast-conserving surgery with adjuvant radiation therapy and endocrine therapy. Four years after breast surgery, she was diagnosed with endometrial cancer and underwent a laparoscopic modified radical hysterectomy with bilateral oophorectomy with pelvic lymph node dissection followed by adjuvant chemotherapy. However, there was peritoneal dissemination of endometrial cancer 1 year after surgery, which could be removed laparoscopically followed by adjuvant chemotherapy. Ten years after breast cancer surgery, pleural metastasis of breast cancer was diagnosed and treated by endocrine therapy. Thirteen years after breast cancer surgery, a pancreatic tumor with multiple liver masses emerged. It was difficult to diagnose whether primary or metastasis cancer by the results of the pathological analysis. Finally, we diagnosed primary pancreatic cancer with liver metastasis by clinical examination with the BRCA2-pathogenic variant. These tumors were well responded to chemotherapy and the patient survived during a follow-up period of 8 months. According to MPMNs, breast cancer patients should be followed-up carefully for the possibility of BRCA pathogenic variant and development of different primary malignant neoplasms.

Abstract
Multiple primary malignant neoplasms (MPMNs) are defined as the presence of two or more malignancies with different histologies in the same patient. MPMNs are rare, accounting for fewer than 4% of all tumor cases. Depending on the time interval between the diagnosis of the different malignancies, they are classified as either simultaneous or metachronous MPMNs, with simultaneous being rarer in MPMNs. Here, we present a 63-year-old female patient presenting with multiple primary renal and thyroid carcinomas and discuss the risk factors, treatment options, and prognosis of rare dual carcinomas. We focus on managing multidisciplinary teams and selecting individualized treatment options to deliver valuable treatment strategies to patients.

Abstract
ObjectivesTo investigate the characteristics, diagnosis, survival and prognosis of second primary breast carcinoma (SPBC).Materials and methodsRecords of 123 patients with SPBC in Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute & Hospital between December 2002 and December 2020 were retrospectively reviewed. Clinical characteristics, imaging features and survival were analyzed and comparisons between SPBC and breast metastases (BM) were made.ResultsOf 67156 newly diagnosed breast cancer patients, 123 patients (0.18%) suffered previous extramammary primary malignancies. Of the 123 patients with SPBC, approximately 98.37%(121/123)were female. The median age was 55 years old (27-87). The average diameter of breast mass was 2.7 cm (0.5-10.7). Approximately 77.24% (95/123) of the patients presented with symptoms. The most common types of extramammary primary malignancies were thyroid, gynecological cancers, lung, and colorectal. Patients with the first primary malignant tumor of lung cancer were more likely to develop synchronous SPBC, and those with the first primary malignant tumor of ovarian cancer were more likely to develop metachronous SPBC. When comparing with BM, patients with SPBC were more often older (≥45 years old), at earlier stages (I/II), more microcalcification and less multiple breast masses in imaging. More than half (55.88%) of patients in the metachronous group developed primary breast cancer within 5 years after diagnosis of extramammary primary cancer. The median overall survival time was 71 months. Within 90 months, the prognosis of patients with synchronous SPBC was worse than that of patients with metachronous SPBC (p=0.014). Patients with BM had the worst outcome compared with patients with synchronous SPBC and metachronous SPBC (p<0.001).ER/PR-negative status, an interval of less than 6 months between the onset of two tumors, a late stage of first primary malignancy, and an age of diagnosis of first primary malignancy greater than 60 years predicted a worse prognosis for patients with SPBC.ConclusionThe possibility of SPBC should be considered during the follow-up of patients with primary extramammary malignancy, especially within 5 years of the onset of the first tumor. The stage of first primary malignancy and the age at diagnosis of first primary malignancy have an impact on the prognosis of patients with SPBC.

Abstract
The detection of multiple primary malignancies is on the rise despite their rare occurrence rate. This research aims to determine the prevalence, tumor association patterns, overall survival, and the correlation between survival time and independent factors in patients with triple primary malignancies. This single-center retrospective study included 117 patients with triple primary malignancies admitted to a tertiary cancer center between 1996 and 2021. The observed prevalence was 0.082%. The majority of patients (73%) were over the age of fifty at the first tumor diagnosis, and regardless of gender, the lowest median age occurred in the metachronous group. The most common tumor associations were found between genital-skin-breast, skin-skin-skin, digestive-genital-breast, and genital-breast-lung cancer. The male gender and being over the age of fifty at the first tumor diagnosis are associated with a higher risk of mortality. Compared with the metachronous group, patients with three synchronous tumors demonstrate a risk of mortality 6.5 times higher, whereas patients with one metachronous and two synchronous tumors demonstrate a risk of mortality three times higher. The likelihood of subsequent malignancies should always be considered throughout cancer patients' short- and long-term surveillance to ensure prompt tumor diagnosis and treatment.

Abstract
ABSTRACT Synchronous primary cancers are very rare. Due to their low incidence rate and insidious onset, they may be easily overlooked or misdiagnosed. In addition, there is currently no international consensus for their clinical diagnosis and treatment. Three exceedingly unusual synchronous primary malignancies, carcinoma gallbladder with renal cell carcinoma, carcinoma gallbladder with carcinoma colon, and carcinoma gallbladder with carcinoma breast, are presented here. Together with their clinical presentation, therapeutic options and outcomes are also presented. Curative radical surgery of each particular tumor, along with postoperative chemotherapy or radiotherapy improves disease-free survival.

Abstract
Although the incidence of multiple primary malignancies (MPMs) is increasing, synchronous triple primary malignant tumours with prostate, bladder and lung is rarely reported. Gene mutation is thought to be a reason for MPMs, and severe cardiovascular diseases may interrupt the cancer treatment. Here we reported a 64-year-old male patient with synchronous triple primary malignant tumours of the bladder urothelial carcinoma, prostate adenocarcinoma, and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with mutations in TP53 and MEK1, all the three malignancies were diagnosed within 10 days. Although being interrupted by severe cardiovascular diseases (including myocardial infarction, venous thrombosis, and aneurism of the aortic root), he was successfully treated with radical cystoprostatectomy, chemotherapy plus pembrolizumab (a PD-1 antibody), and radiotherapy of the lung lesion, followed by maintenance monotherapy of pembrolizumab, overall survival was more than 26 months. In conclusion, a patient of synchronous triple primary malignant tumours with prostate, bladder, and lung harbouring TP53 and MEK1 mutations accompanied with severe cardiovascular diseases was treated successfully, which may suggest that comprehensive treatment, especially radical treatment such as operation and radiation, is very important for MPMs.

BackgroundSynchronous multiple primary malignant neoplasms occurring at the same time (SMPMNS) are not currently uncommon in clinical oncological practice; however, the diagnostic performance of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT) for SMPMNS needs further elucidation.PurposeThis study aimed to evaluate the application of 18F-FDG PET/CT in patients with SMPMNS.Materials and methodsThe clinical and imaging data of 37 patients with SMPMNS who had undergone 18F-FDG PET/CT from October 2010 to December 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. The kappa consistency test was applied to evaluate the consistency of the diagnostic performance between PET/CT and conventional imaging (CI). The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of PET/CT and CI in the detection of metastatic lesions were compared.ResultsThis retrospective diagnostic study included 74 lesions identified in 37 patients with SMPMNS, with 94.6% of patients having double primary tumors. Of the incidences of SMPMNS, 18.9% occurred in the same organ system, with respiratory tumors being the most common type of neoplasm (43.2%) and the lung being the most common primary site (40.5%). The overall survival of SMPMNS patients without metastases was longer than that of those with metastases (χ2 = 12.627, p = 0.000). The maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax), the SUVmax ratio (larger SUVmax/smaller SUVmax), and the difference index of SUVmax (DISUVmax) [(larger SUVmax − smaller SUVmax)/larger SUVmax] of the primary lesions ranged from 0.9 to 41.7 (average = 12.3 ± 7.9), from 0.3 to 26.7 (average = 4.4 ± 6.9), and from 0.0% to 96.3% (average = 50.3% ± 29.3%), respectively. With regard to diagnostic accuracy, PET/CT and CI showed poor consistency (κ = 0.096, p = 0.173). For the diagnosis of primary lesions (diagnosed and misdiagnosed), PET/CT and CI also showed poor consistency (κ = 0.277, p = 0.000), but the diagnostic performance of PET/CT was better than that of CI. In the diagnosis of metastases, the patient-based sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of PET/CT were 100.0%, 81.8%, and 89.2%, respectively, while those of CI were 73.3%, 100.0%, 89.2%, respectively. The sensitivity and specificity values were significantly different, with PET/CT having higher sensitivity (p = 0.02) and CI showing higher specificity (p = 0.02).Conclusions18F-FDG PET/CT improves the diagnostic performance for SMPMNS and is a good imaging modality for patients with SMPMNS.

Aim
This study was designed to evaluate the frequency of developing second and subsequent primary cancers among cancer survivors.
Methods
We have retrospectively analyzed 121 multiple primary cancer patients treated at Bhagwan Mahavir Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India from the last 20 years. The survival analysis was performed by Kaplan-Meier methodology.
Results
The prevalence of multiple primary malignant tumors (MPMTs) was 1.51% (121/8000), with a male to female ratio of 1:1.42. In males most of the reported MPMTs were synchronous and most common first primary cancer cases were head & neck and lung whereas, in females most of the reported MPMTs were metachronous and most common first primary cancer cases were breast and gynaecological malignancies. Family history was reported in 15 cases. Maximum 33.05% patients received combined treatment of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and 91.73% (111/121) of patients with MPMTs were effectively followed up, 35 (28.92%) patients died and 5-year survival rate of the remaining 86 patients was 68.46%.
Conclusions
In the present observational study the most frequent sites of MPMTs in men were head & neck and lung whereas, in women breast and gynaecological sites were common. Therefore, careful monitoring and follow up are required for these patients.

Abstract
Durvalumab consolidation therapy is the standard treatment after concurrent chemoradiotherapy for patients with surgically unresectable stage IIIA (N2) non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Neoadjuvant therapy followed by surgery could reduce locoregional and distant recurrence and improve the survival rate for surgically resectable NSCLC. However, the value of neoadjuvant therapy in locally advanced potentially resectable NSCLC remains controversial. Herein, we report a locally advanced potentially resectable NSCLC case with a history of breast cancer who achieved a pathologic complete response (pCR) after preoperative treatment with pembrolizumab and chemotherapy. A 50-year-old woman developed squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) (left lower lobe of the lung, stage IIIA-N2) after two years of chemotherapy and anti-HER2 therapy following a diagnosis of HER2-overexpressing breast cancer. Surgical resection was attempted despite an MDT classification as unamenable to curative surgical resection. After two cycles of neoadjuvant chemotherapy combined with anti-PD1 immunotherapy, the tumor significantly shrank, then the patient underwent a left lower lobectomy. Complete resection with negative margins (R0 resection) was achieved in the patient. The patient experienced grade 1–2 adverse effects and no grade 3 or worse adverse effects occurred. Cardiotoxicity did not occur in the patient despite prior anti-HER2 treatment for breast cancer. Our case study contributes to the existing evidence on the feasibility, efficacy, and safety of neoadjuvant immunotherapy combined with chemotherapy in locally advanced unresectable NSCLC. Furthermore, future studies are needed to determine which patients can benefit from immunoadjuvant therapy and the duration and course of preoperative and postoperative immunotherapy.

Abstract
With the modern technological developments in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, the survival rate of cancer patients has increased. On the other hand, the incidence of multiple primary tumors is increasing annually. Lynch syndrome (LS), an autosomal dominant disorder with germline mutations in DNA mismatch repair genes, increases the risk of cancer in patients carrying those mutations. In this report, we present an extremely rare case of an 81-year-old male patient with eight primary malignancies and LS. The patient is still alive having survived for more than 41 years since the initial discovery of the first tumor. The eighth and most recently diagnosed primary cancer was a malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor. Although there have been numerous reports of malignancies in LS, malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors have not been reported previously with LS. Here, we report, to the best of our knowledge, the first case of a malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor with LS.

Abstract
The purposes of the present study were to elucidate the risk and prognostic effect of second primary cancers (SPCs) development, as well as the factors influencing the prognosis of OC patients with SPCs. A statistically significant increase in SPCs risk was observed among OC patients during 2004-2015. The independent factors were used to construct the SPCs-prediction nomogram and the OS-prediction nomogram. Both nomogram were subjected to internal validation and performed well. OC patients with SPCs have a better prognosis than patients without SPCs. Propensity score matching (PSM) was applied to reduce confounding.

Abstract
Multiple primary malignant tumors (MPMNs) are not rare entities. We report a case of a 50-year-old female who presented with left upper quadrant abdominal pain and GI bleeding. Initial assessment with CT scan revealed a mass originating from the descending colon. Colonoscopy was performed and a fungating partially obstructed mass at the left splenic flexure was detected. Histopathological examination of biopsy was consistent with mucinous adenocarcinoma. The staging CT scan of the chest and pelvis, followed by a mammogram reported a Synchronous breast mass. Core needle biopsy detected an invasive ducal carcinoma. In the multidisciplinary meeting, it was decided to perform the colon procedure first, followed by adjuvant chemotherapy, and then the breast procedure. The patient had an uneventful recovery after both procedures and was sent to the medical oncology department to continue with the treatment.

Abstract
ABSTRACT An 82-year-old man with a background of non-Hodgkin lymphoma in remission, resected left lower lobe adenocarcinoma (stage IA), and resected cutaneous melanoma of the left forearm more than 5 years prior presented with cerebral metastatic disease. Excision biopsy confirmed adenocarcinoma of lung origin. Further evaluation with 18F-FDG PET/CT demonstrated FDG-avid disease in the right thorax, axilla, and lower neck and isolated cutaneous uptake in the right forearm. Lymph node biopsy confirmed synchronous mantle cell lymphoma and metastatic adenocarcinoma of the lung.

Abstract
Synchronous occurrences of gastric cancer positive for human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2+) and bladder cancer are rarely encountered in clinical practice. When and how to effectively treat both tumors, without compounding adverse effects, must be addressed. Herein, we describe an elderly man who presented with both gastric cancer (HER2+) and bladder cancer. Due to enlarged and fused lymph nodal metastasis, he was ill-suited for stomach resection. After transurethral resection of the bladder tumor, we administered both chemotherapy and the targeted agent trastuzumab. Gastric cancer showed partial response however bladder cancer recurred following two cycles of this regimen, the adverse effects were prohibitive, prompting refusal of further chemotherapy and radiotherapy. He then received the immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) nivolumab and trastuzumab in combination. This particular regimen successfully controlled both cancers and substantially improved the patient’s quality of life. Its long-term use did not intensify adverse reactions, enabling a progression-free survival of 21 months to date. We have also reviewed other published clinical strategies applied in rare instances of multiple primary malignancies as a reference for treating such patients.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Multiple primary malignancies are two or more malignancies in an individual without any relationship between the tumors. The development of improved diagnostic techniques, increased survival of cancer patients and the growing life expectancy have all contributed to the increased frequency of this phenomenon. OBJECTIVE The aim of this study is to review the multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) findings of synchronous breast carcinoma and other solid malignancies. METHODS This retrospective study included 65 patients confirmed with diagnosis of synchronous breast carcinoma and other solid malignancies. CT scanning was performed using 128 MDCT in all patients. All one hundred-thirty malignancies underwent pathological evaluation. RESULTS Out of 4120 patients with breast carcinoma; 65 patients were diagnosed with other synchronous primary solid malignancy. All one hundred-thirty malignancies were confirmed pathologically. Breast carcinoma detected in all 65 patients; of them metastatic breast carcinoma detected in 8 patients. Hepatocellular carcinoma was detected in 18 patients, Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) in 12 patients, endometrial carcinoma in 8 patients, uterine sarcoma in 3 patients, malignant mixed Müllerian tumor in one patient, ovarian carcinoma in 5 patients, renal cell carcinoma in 4 patients, thyroid carcinoma in 4 patients, gastric carcinoma in 2 patients, colonic carcinoma in 2 patients, ano-rectal carcinoma in one patient, hilar cholangiocarcinoma in 2 patients, malignant melanoma in 2 patients and bronchogenic carcinoma in one patient. CONCLUSIONS Patients with breast carcinoma have a risk of other synchronous primary malignancy. So, careful preoperative examination is recommended to improve the patients' prognosis. MDCT scanning is accurately imaging modality for evaluation of synchronous breast carcinoma and other solid malignancies. The aim of treatment in cancer patients should always be curative even in the presence of multiple malignancies.

Abstract
Breast cancer (BC) patients are frequently at risk of developing other malignancies following treatment. Although studies have been conducted to elucidate the etiology of multiple primary malignancies (MPM) after a BC diagnosis, few studies have investigated other previously diagnosed primary malignancies (OPPM) before BC. Here, genome‐wide profiling was used to identify potential driver DNA copy number alterations and somatic mutations that promote the development of MPMs. To compare the genomic profiles for two primary tumors (BC and OPPM) from the same patient, tumor pairs from 26 young women (≤50 years) diagnosed with one or more primary malignancies before breast cancer were analyzed. Malignant melanoma was the most frequent OPPM, followed by gynecologic‐ and hematologic malignancies. However, significantly more genetic alterations were detected in BC compared to the OPPM. BC also showed more genetic similarity as a group than the tumor pairs. Clonality testing showed that genetic alterations on chromosomes 1, 3, 16, and 19 were concordant in both tumors in 13 patients. TP53 mutations were also found to be prevalent in BC, MM, and HM. Although all samples were classified as genetically unstable, chromothripsis‐like patterns were primarily observed in BC. Taken together, few recurrent genetic alterations were identified in both tumor pairs that can explain the development of MPMs in the same patient. However, larger studies are warranted to further investigate key driver mutations associated with MPMs.

Abstract
The synchronous occurrence of primary breast cancer and lymphoid tissue malignant tumors has been rarely reported in the literature. We present an exceedingly rare case of synchronous breast invasive ductal carcinoma with an abdominal diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). A 78-year-old woman who was diagnosed with a luminal A invasive breast cancer on core biopsy, and complaint of progressively worsening low back pain. An abdominal computed tomography (CT) scan that was performed as part of the preoperative staging showed a large abdominal mass measuring 10.5 × 4.8 × 9.5 cm surrounding the lower part of the abdominal aorta, the right common iliac, right external, right internal iliac, and the left internal iliac arteries. A CT-guided fine-needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) of the abdominal mass was then performed, to exclude the possibility of being an abdominal tumor metastasis of the known primary breast cancer. Histopathological findings were suggestive of DLBCL. Following a multidisciplinary team discussion, chemotherapy was initiated for DLBCL. The tumor however was refractory to multiple chemotherapy regimens and exhibited a highly aggressive clinical course. The diagnostic evaluation and management of the patient are discussed, along with a review of the relevant literature. This case underscores the fact that the presence of synchronous malignancies may pose both diagnostic and treatment challenges. Accurate staging of both malignancies and multidisciplinary team discussion is of utmost importance to guide an optimal therapeutic approach. Histopathological evaluation is essential for both tumors, for the second malignancy not to be misinterpreted as a secondary deposit of the primary one.

Abstract
Multiple primary malignant neoplasms refer to two or more malignancies in an individual that are not related. We report a case of a 78-year-old male with concurrent breast mucinous carcinoma and extramammary lymphoma. The patient initially presented with palpable masses in the left breast and the right groin, which were pathologically confirmed after a surgical biopsy as breast mucinous carcinoma and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, respectively. He underwent whole-body 18-fluorine deoxyglucose PET/CT before surgery, and an enhancing nodular lesion in the left lingual tonsil was found incidentally. It was later confirmed as a diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, a pathology of the same type as the right inguinal mass. Unspecified lymphadenopathies in breast cancer patients may easily be considered as metastatic lesions. However, this case suggests that lymphomas should be included in the differential diagnoses to avoid misdiagnosis and treatment delay, especially in older adult patients.

Here, we report such a case— the 12th case of synchronous double primary cancers featuring HCC and GC, but the first case of neuroendocrine differentiation in the gallbladder. Case presentation A 77-year-old female was admitted to the hospital complaining of weakness and inappetence for six months. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) of the abdomen indicated an 11 cm space-occupying lesion in the right lobe of the liver. Later, magnetic resonance imaging showed a high possibility of a massive hepatoma, and multiple gallstones were also seen. After transhepatic arterial chemoembolization, a repeat abdominal CT showed obvious local nodular thickening in the gallbladder wall. Finally, resection of the right lobe of the liver and cholecystectomy were performed. During an approximately 2-year follow-up, the patient recovered uneventfully without recurrence or metastasis. Conclusion The disease in this case is rare and lacked typical radiological features. More precise and advanced diagnostic techniques are needed to obtain a clear diagnosis and refine treatment strategies. The management strategy should always be curative, even in the presence of multiple malignancies.

Abstract
PURPOSE Multiple primary malignancies (MPMs) caused by breast cancer treatment are well described, but only few studies to date describe which other previous primary malignancies (OPPMs) occur before breast cancer. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the prevalence of OPPMs in patients with breast cancer between 2007 and 2018 in Western Sweden. METHODS Patient selection was performed using both pathology reports at Sahlgrenska University Hospital (Sweden) and the Swedish Cancer Registry. All newly diagnosed breast cancer patients were screened for presence of OPPM. RESULTS In total, 8031 breast cancer patients were diagnosed at Sahlgrenska University Hospital between 2007 and 2018. The prevalence of breast cancer patients with OPPMs (n = 414) increased from on average 2.6% to 8.2% during this 12-year period and ranged from 17 to 59 patients annually. The most striking increase in prevalence was found among the gynecological tumors (endometrium and ovarian adenocarcinomas), malignant melanomas and gastrointestinal malignancies. These findings were validated using data of the Swedish Cancer Registry. CONCLUSIONS The overall survival rates for cancer patients have improved tremendously during the past 40 years, in part due to individually tailored therapies and screening programs. Our study revealed an increasing trend of OPPMs in breast cancer patients.

Abstract
Until recently, few cases of three or more malignant tumors in one patient have been reported. Owing to the high incidence rate of these tumors, the improvement in cancer diagnosis and treatment, and the extension of patient survival time, the incidence of reported multiple primary malignant neoplasms has gradually increased. The present study reported the case of a 57-year-old man with non-small cell lung cancer combined with B-Raf proto-oncogene serine/threonine kinase V600E mutation, gastrointestinal stromal tumors and lumbar vertebral malignant mucinous sarcoma. The pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of these three malignancies are discussed and previous studies are also reviewed. The aim of the study was to analyze the genetic mutations associated with multiple primary malignant tumors and to discuss whether those mutations with unknown functional significance could be used as therapeutic indicators. This case report will serve as a reference for future treatment of such patients.
