Abstract
This article delves into the psychological impact of gynecological malignancies and suggests pathways to improve the quality of life (QoL) for affected patients. Building on Shang et al's comprehensive analysis, this piece integrates insights from various studies to highlight the profound influence of psychological and physical symptoms on patients undergoing treatment for gynecological cancers. The study underscores that anxiety and depression significantly exacerbate the disease's toll. Factors such as physical exercise and digital and interactive health interventions show promise in mitigating these adverse effects. The article emphasizes the necessity for a holistic care approach that addresses both physical and emotional needs. Recommendations include enhanced training for healthcare providers, public awareness campaigns, streamlined diagnostic pathways, and improved access to specialist care. These integrated strategies aim to ensure that women facing gynecological cancers can maintain an optimal QoL through comprehensive and multidisciplinary care models.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Aimed to determine the effect of education provided with a mobile application on the supportive care needs and quality of life of women undergoing breast-conserving surgery. METHODS The study was conducted in 81 patients. The experimental group received mobile application and the control group received standard education. Fisher's Exact Test, Chi-Square test, Student's t Test, Mann-Whitney U test, mixed design analysis of variance and Bonferroni-Dunn test were used to analyze the data. RESULTS While the pre-study supportive care needs scores of the women were similar in the experimental (85.37 ± 23.58) and control (83.13 ± 23.03) groups, they decreased significantly in the experimental group at the 4th and 8th-week measurements (54.34 ± 27.28; 58.78 ± 16.51) (p < .05). In the 4th and 8th week measurements, the quality of life of the experimental group (72.26 ± 14.12; 71.04 ± 8.12) increased significantly, while no significant change was found in the control group (42.50 ± 14.38; 45.63 ± 8.28). CONCLUSIONS It was found that the supportive care needs of the decreased and their quality of life increased after the education given to women with a mobile application. IMPLICATIONS FOR NURSING PRACTICE This study ensured that women who had a sufficiently intense and exhausting process during the cancer treatment process could comfortably receive care support and education with the mobile application at any time and place they wanted. It also revealed that nurses can provide care and education support to their patients at any time and place they want with the mobile application in their busy work tempo.

Abstract
Purpose: To investigate the effectiveness of virtual reality (VR)-based interventions for functional rehabilitation of the upper limb in breast cancer patients through a systematic review and meta-analysis. Methods: The PubMed, Cochrane, Web of Science, CINAHL, Scopus, CNKI, Wanfang, and VIP databases were systematically searched for relevant literature published from the establishment of the database to June 2023. Differences in the effectiveness of VR-based interventions and other intervention therapies were compared using random effects model meta-analysis and standard deviation (SMD). Results: Seven eligible articles were identified and included in the meta-analysis. The combined analysis found that VR-based interventions had a positive impact on patients' upper limb mobility in terms of flexion (SMD = 1.33, 95% confidence interval; CI [0.48-2.19], P = 0.002), abduction (SMD = 1.22, 95% CI [0.58-1.86], P = 0.0002), and external rotation (SMD = 0.94, 95% CI [0.48-1.40], P < 0.0001). In addition, VR-based interventions could significantly improve the postoperative pain of patients with breast cancer. However, in grip strength (SMD = 0.43, 95% CI [-3.05 to 3.92], P = 0.81), shoulder muscle strength in flexion strength (SMD = 0.05, 95% CI [-2.07 to 2.18], P = 0.96), abduction strength (SMD = -0.10, 95% CI [-1.32 to 1.12], P = 0.88), external rotation strength (SMD = 0.46, 95% CI [-1.96 to 2.88], P = 0.71), and lymphedema, VR was as effective as other intervention treatments. A subgroup analysis showed that patients younger than 55 years had more benefit with VR-based rehabilitation than with other interventions and showed improvements with the intervention within 2 weeks. The intervention effect of using auxiliary equipment such as robotic arms is better than VR exercise based solely on games. Conclusion: The results of meta-analysis show that the intervention measures based on VR have positive effects on the improvement of upper limb mobility and pain relief in breast cancer patients. However, considering the low quality of evidence and small sample size, more clinical studies should be conducted to improve the credibility of the results.

Abstract
PURPOSE OF THE REVIEW Chronic post-treatment pain in breast cancer affects a high proportion of patients. Symptom burden and financial costs are increasingly impacting patients and healthcare systems because of improved treatments and survival rates. Supporting long-term breast cancer symptoms using novel methodology has been examined, yet few have explored the opportunity to utilise these interventions for prevention. This review aims to explore the need for, range of, and effectiveness of such interventions. RECENT FINDINGS Three papers describe risk factors for chronic pain, with six recent papers describing the use of interventions for acute pain in the surgical setting. The evidence for the effectiveness of these interventions to improve pain management in this setting is limited but tentatively positive. The results have to take into account the variation between systems and limited testing. SUMMARY Multiple types of intervention emerged and appear well accepted by patients. Most assessed short-term impact and did not evaluate for reduction in chronic pain. Such interventions require rigorous effectiveness testing to meet the growing needs of post-treatment pain in breast cancer. A detailed understanding of components of web-based interventions and their individual impact on acute pain and chronic pain is needed within future optimisation trials. Their effectiveness as preventative tools are yet to be decided.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate engagement with and efficacy of guided versus non-guided digital interventions targeting psychological symptoms of cancer via a systematic review of current evidence. METHODS PubMed, Scopus, PsychINFO, MEDLINE, and CINAHL databases were searched. Eligible publications were randomised controlled trials of guided or non-guided digital psychological interventions used in cancer settings reporting intervention efficacy and/or engagement. Study methodological quality was assessed using the Cochrane risk of bias (RoB) tool. Random effects meta-analyses were performed on outcomes with sufficient data, with sub-group analyses of intervention type and follow-up period. RESULTS Forty-three studies were included. Studies varied by level of guidance, type of technology used, duration, and outcomes assessed. Most studies had a high overall RoB. Meta-analysis indicated that guided interventions significantly reduced distress, anxiety, and fatigue, while non-guided did not. For depression and quality of life, both guided and non-guided interventions produced significant improvements. Guided interventions reported higher levels of intervention engagement than non-guided. CONCLUSIONS Guided digital psychological interventions were likely to be more effective than non-guided ones for cancer patients, particularly in reducing distress, anxiety, and fatigue. Whilst both types were found to improve depression and life quality, guided interventions were associated with higher patient engagement. These findings suggest digital interventions could supplement traditional cancer care, warranting further research concerning long-term effects and cost-efficiency.

Abstract
Background Virtual reality (VR) has shown promising levels of effectiveness in nursing education, pain management, and rehabilitation. However, meta-analyses have discussed the effects of VR usage in nursing unilaterally and inconsistently, and the evidence base is diffuse and varied. Objective We aimed to synthesize the combined evidence from meta-analyses that assessed the effects of nurses using VR technology on nursing education or patient health outcomes. Methods We conducted an umbrella review by searching for meta-analyses about VR intervention in clinical nursing practice on Web of Science, Embase, Cochrane, and PubMed, and in reference lists. Eligible studies were published in English between December 1, 2012, and September 20, 2023. Meta-analyses of ≤2 intervention studies and meta-analyses without 95% CI or heterogeneity data were excluded. Characteristic indicators, population information, VR intervention information, and 95% CIs were extracted. A descriptive analysis of research results was conducted to discern relationships between VR interventions and outcomes. I2 and P values were used to evaluate publication bias. AMSTAR (A Measurement Tool to Assess Systematic Reviews) 2 and the GRADE (Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation) checklist were used to appraise literature quality. Results In total, 768 records were identified; 74 meta-analyses were included for review. The most reported VR study conditions were neuronursing (25/74, 34%), pediatric nursing (13/74, 18%), surgical and wound care (11/74, 15%), oncological nursing (11/74, 15%), and older adult nursing (10/74, 14%). Further, 30% (22/74) of meta-analyses reported publication bias, and 15% (11/74) and 8% (6/74) were rated as "high" based on AMSTAR 2 and the GRADE checklist, respectively. The main outcome indicators among all included meta-analyses were pain (37/214, 17.3%), anxiety (36/214, 16.8%), cognitive function (17/214, 7.9%), balance (16/214, 7.5%), depression (16/214, 7.5%), motor function (12/214, 5.6%), and participation in life (12/214, 5.6%). VR treatment for cognition, pain, anxiety, and depression was effective (all P values were <.05), while the utility of VR for improving motor function, balance, memory, and attention was controversial. Adverse effects included nausea, vomiting, and dizziness (incidence: range 4.76%-50%). The most common VR platforms were Pico VR glasses, head-mounted displays, the Nintendo Wii, and the Xbox Kinect. VR intervention duration ranged from 2 weeks to 12 months (typically ≥4 wk). VR session length and frequency ranged from 5 to 100 minutes and from 1 to 10 times per week, respectively. Conclusions VR in nursing has positive effects-relieving patients' pain, anxiety, and depression and improving cognitive function-despite the included studies' limited quality. However, applying VR in nursing to improve patients' motor function, balance, memory, and attention remains controversial. Nursing researchers need to further explore the effects and standard operation protocols of VR in clinical practice, and more high-quality research on VR in nursing is needed.

Abstract
BACKGROUND In 2020 Globocan reported nearly 1.4 million new cases of gynaecology cancer worldwide. Cancer related fatigue has been identified as a symptom that can be present for gynaecology cancer patients many years after treatment. The current evidence around the management of this symptom suggests that exercise has the most positive outcome. However, some ambiguity remains around the evidence and whether it can address all areas of fatigue effectively. More recently, other interventions such as mindfulness have begun to show a favourable response to the management of symptoms for cancer patients. To date there has been little research that explores the feasibility of using both these interventions together in a gynaecology cancer population. This study aims to explore the feasibility of delivering an intervention that involves mindfulness and mindfulness and exercise and will explore the effect of this on fatigue, sleep, mood and quality of life. METHODS/DESIGN This randomised control trial will assess the interventions outcomes using a pre and post design and will also include a qualitative process evaluation. Participants will be randomised into one of 2 groups. One group will undertake mindfulness only and the other group will complete exercise and mindfulness. Both groups will use a mobile application to complete these interventions over 8 weeks. The mobile app will be tailored to reflect the group the participants have drawn during randomisation. Self-reported questionnaire data will be assessed at baseline prior to commencing intervention and at post intervention. Feasibility will be assessed through recruitment, adherence, retention and attrition. Acceptability and participant perspective of participation (process evaluation), will be explored using focus groups. DISCUSSION This trial will hope to evidence and demonstrate that combination of two interventions such as mindfulness and exercise will further improve outcomes of fatigue and wellbeing in gynaecology cancer. The results of this study will be used to assess (i) the feasibility to deliver this type of intervention to this population of cancer patients using a digital platform; (ii) assist this group of women diagnosed with cancer to manage fatigue and other symptoms of sleep, mood and impact their quality of life.
