Abstract
OBJECTIVE to build, validate, and evaluate an educational health website on home care for newborns for use by pregnant women, postpartum women, and family members. METHOD methodological study developed according to the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate model. After construction, the website was validated by 20 experts and evaluated by 20 individuals from the target audience, and the data wasanalyzed according to the Concordance Index with a cut-off point equal to or greater than 0.7 (70%). RESULTS in the validation, the Concordance Index for all the items was higher than 0.7 (70%), with a variation between 0.75 (75%) and 1 (100%), reaching an overall average value of 0.91 (91%). In the evaluation, all the items got top marks, with anoverall average value of 1 (100%). CONCLUSION the educational website was built, validated, and evaluated in a satisfactory manner. It can be considered an appropriate tool for its purpose, with benefits in the teaching-learning process for families regarding postnatal home care fornewborns through its use. It can also be used to educate students and health professionals. The website is available for free access via laptops, computers, smartphones, or tablets.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Parenting self-efficacy is essential for the transition to parenthood. As digital parenting educational interventions are rapidly being developed, their effects have not been examined by pooling available randomized controlled trials (RCTs). OBJECTIVES To comprehensively investigate the effects of digital educational interventions on parents' self-efficacy, social support, and depressive symptoms in the first year after childbirth and identify the significant associated factors. METHODS This study searched six electronic databases for relevant RCTs examining the efficacy of digital parenting interventions from inception to September 2022. The studied outcomes included changes in parent's self-efficacy, social support, and depressive symptoms observed after participating in a digital parenting program. The random-effects model was used to pool results. Subgroup and moderator analyses were performed. RESULTS In total, seven RCTs enrolling 1342 participants were included. The parents who received digital parenting interventions had higher parenting self-efficacy (standardized mean difference [SMD]: 1.06, 95 % confidence interval [CI]: 0.40-1.71, p =.002) and social support (SMD: 2.72, 95 % CI: 0.38-5.07, p =.02) and decreased depressive symptoms at 3 months postpartum (SMD: -0.39, 95 % CI: -0.73 to - 0.04, p =.03). Providing the interventions for ≥ 6 weeks (SMD: 1.62, 95 % CI: 1.18-2.06, p <.001), providing in-person orientation (SMD: 1.88, 95 % CI: 1.32-2.44, p <.001), including a guided curriculum (SMD: 2.00, 95 % CI: 1.78-2.22, p <.001), and conducting interventions in Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development countries (SMD: 1.98, 95 % CI: 1.78-2.19, p <.001) were identified as significant moderators. CONCLUSIONS Digital parenting interventions significantly increase parenting self-efficacy and social support as well as alleviate depressive symptoms for parents during their first year after childbirth. Such interventions can be beneficial for parents who prefer online education. Future studies investigating the long-term effects of these interventions are warranted. Abstract
Digital parenting programs aim to increase program access, improve psychosocial outcomes for parents and children, and support triage to targeted interventions where required. This meta-analysis assessed the efficacy of online parenting programs in improving parenting skills and capabilities, and by consequence, the mental health and well-being of parents and children, and the quality of the parent-child relationship. Studies were included if they were: (1) online, (2) self-delivered, (3) designed for universal general population prevention, (4) evaluated experimental or quasi-experimental designs, and (5) assessed parent and child emotional and/or relational health, from pregnancy to 5 years of age. A systematic search of electronic databases and grey literature identified 22 studies that met inclusion criteria, including 24 independent samples, with 5671 unique parents. Meta-analyses were conducted using random effects models and Cohen's d effects. Small-to-moderate improvements in parent depression, anxiety, self-efficacy, and social support were observed. No effects on parent stress, satisfaction, or parent-child relationship quality were observed. Meta-regression and sub-group analysis were conducted to identify sensitivity or moderation effects. Collectively, findings suggest any benefits of online parenting programs mostly occur at the time of the intervention, for parent mental health and well-being outcomes, and that enduring effects are unlikely. However, given the cost effectiveness and accessibility of online programs, further research into ways of sustaining effects on parenting outcomes is warranted. Furthermore, given the centrality of the parent-child bond to child development across the lifecourse, additional investment in new digitally facilitated approaches focusing on this bond are likewise warranted.PROSPERO registration CRD42021275647.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study aimed to examine the effect of digital health interventions compared with treatment as usual on preventing and treating postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety. DATA SOURCES Searches were conducted in Ovid MEDLINE, Embase, Scopus, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, and ClinicalTrials.gov. STUDY ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS The systematic review included full-text randomized controlled trials comparing digital health interventions with treatment as usual for preventing or treating postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety. STUDY APPRAISAL AND SYNTHESIS METHODS Two authors independently screened all abstracts for eligibility and independently reviewed all potentially eligible full-text articles for inclusion. A third author screened abstracts and full-text articles as needed to determine eligibility in cases of discrepancy. The primary outcome was the score on the first ascertainment of postpartum depression or postpartum anxiety symptoms after the intervention. Secondary outcomes included screening positive for postpartum depression or postpartum anxiety --as defined in the primary study --and loss to follow-up, defined as the proportion of participants who completed the final study assessment compared with the number of initially randomized participants. For continuous outcomes, the Hedges method was used to obtain standardized mean differences when the studies used different psychometric scales, and weighted mean differences were calculated when studies used the same psychometric scales. For categorical outcomes, pooled relative risks were estimated. RESULTS Of 921 studies originally identified, 31 randomized controlled trials-corresponding to 5532 participants randomized to digital health intervention and 5492 participants randomized to treatment as usual-were included. Compared with treatment as usual, digital health interventions significantly reduced mean scores ascertaining postpartum depression symptoms (29 studies: standardized mean difference, -0.64 [95% confidence interval, -0.88 to -0.40]; I2=94.4%) and postpartum anxiety symptoms (17 studies: standardized mean difference, -0.49 [95% confidence interval, -0.72 to -0.25]; I2=84.6%). In the few studies that assessed screen-positive rates for postpartum depression (n=4) or postpartum anxiety (n=1), there were no significant differences between those randomized to digital health intervention and treatment as usual. Overall, those randomized to digital health intervention had 38% increased risk of not completing the final study assessment compared with those randomized to treatment as usual (pooled relative risk, 1.38 [95% confidence interval, 1.18-1.62]), but those randomized to app-based digital health intervention had similar loss-to-follow-up rates as those randomized to treatment as usual (relative risk, 1.04 [95% confidence interval, 0.91-1.19]). CONCLUSION Digital health interventions modestly, but significantly, reduced scores assessing postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety symptoms. More research is needed to identify digital health interventions that effectively prevent or treat postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety but encourage ongoing engagement throughout the study period.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Depression and anxiety contribute to an estimated 74.6 million years of life with disability, and 80% of this burden occurs in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), where there is a large gap in care. OBJECTIVE We aimed to systematically synthesize available evidence and quantify the effectiveness of digital mental health interventions in reducing depression and anxiety in LMICs. METHODS In this systematic review and meta-analysis, we searched PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane databases from the inception date to February 2022. We included randomized controlled trials conducted in LMICs that compared groups that received digital health interventions with controls (active control, treatment as usual, or no intervention) on depression or anxiety symptoms. Two reviewers independently extracted summary data reported in the papers and performed study quality assessments. The outcomes were postintervention measures of depression or anxiety symptoms (Hedges g). We calculated the pooled effect size weighted by inverse variance. RESULTS Among 11,196 retrieved records, we included 80 studies in the meta-analysis (12,070 participants n=6052, 50.14% in the intervention group and n=6018, 49.85% in the control group) and 96 studies in the systematic review. The pooled effect sizes were -0.61 (95% CI -0.78 to -0.44; n=67 comparisons) for depression and -0.73 (95% CI -0.93 to -0.53; n=65 comparisons) for anxiety, indicating that digital health intervention groups had lower postintervention depression and anxiety symptoms compared with controls. Although heterogeneity was considerable (I2=0.94 for depression and 0.95 for anxiety), we found notable sources of variability between the studies, including intervention content, depression or anxiety symptom severity, control type, and age. Grading of Recommendations, Assessments, Development, and Evaluation showed that the evidence quality was overall high. CONCLUSIONS Digital mental health tools are moderately to highly effective in reducing depression and anxiety symptoms in LMICs. Thus, they could be effective options to close the gap in depression and anxiety care in LMICs, where the usual mental health care is minimal. Abstract
Background Many primiparous women usually encounter various parenting and mental health issues after childbirth. The effects of intervention based on internet platform on parenting and mental health outcomes for Chinese first-time mothers remain unknown during the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, our research aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of an internet-based support program (ISP) on maternal self-efficacy (MSE), postpartum depression (PPD) and social support for primiparous women amid the pandemic. Methods A multicenter randomized controlled trial (RCT) was conducted. From May 2020 to March 2021, 242 primiparous women were recruited in the maternity wards of two hospitals in Shenzhen City, China and randomly assigned to the intervention group and the control group. Women in control group (n = 118) received the routine postpartum care, and women in intervention group (n = 118) accessed to the ISP intervention (expert education and peer support) and routine postpartum care. Intervention outcomes were measured at baseline before randomization (T0), post-intervention (T1), and three-month follow up (T2) through questionnaires. The chi-square (χ2), the independent sample t-test and the repeated measures multivariate analysis of covariance were performed, and the two-tailed p-value <0.05 was regarded as statistically significant. Results In comparison with women in the control group, women in the intervention group had a significantly higher score of MSE at T1 (mean: 73.53, standard deviation [SD]: 6.21) and at T2 (mean: 72.90, SD: 6.73); and a lower score of PPD at T1(mean: 6.03, SD: 2.50) and T2 (mean: 5.70, SD: 2.23); and a higher score of social support at T1 (mean: 45.70, SD: 3.73), but no significant difference at T2 (mean: 42.90, SD: 3.29). Conclusions The effect of ISP was evaluated to significantly increase the levels of MSE, social support, and to alleviate PPD symptoms for Chinese first-time mothers. As an effective and easily accessible intervention, ISP could become a significant source for health professionals to support primiparous women on parenting and mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. Abstract
Becoming a parent is a challenging transition, and stress factors may arise. This scoping review aims to map, from the literature, the structure, potential barriers, and facilitators to be considered when conducting a parenting programme for parents of children up to 3 years old. It followed the JBI methodology and included studies with parents of children up to 3 years old (Participants), studies about parenting programme structure, its potential barriers, and facilitators (Concept) in the healthcare or community setting (Context). Qualitative and/or quantitative study designs and grey literature publications between 2016 and 2021 were eligible. The search was performed in three stages in CINAHL Plus with Full Text, MEDLINE with Full Text, and PubMed databases. It was also conducted in OpenGrey, ProQuest, Portuguese Open Access Scientific Repository, and Google Scholar. Fourteen articles were selected. The following aspects were identified regarding parenting programmes: benefits; structuring elements to be considered; facilitating factors and possible barriers to its development, and measurement instruments to assess the programme. Parenting programmes are important ways to contribute to a healthy, sustainable, and resilient society. It should be adapted to individuals, groups, and communities. They add value to parents, children, and society and should be carefully adapted to the group's needs.

OBJECTIVE This study investigated the effects of mobile health application designed based on mindfulness and social support theory on parenting self-efficacy and postpartum depression symptoms of puerperae. METHODS We recruited 130 puerperae from a hospital in China and randomized them to an App use group (n = 65) and a waiting control group (n = 65). The App group underwent an 8-week app use intervention while the control group underwent no intervention. We measured four main variables (mindfulness, perceived social support, maternal parental self-efficacy and postpartum depressive symptoms) before and after the App use intervention. RESULTS In the App group, perceived social support, maternal parental self-efficacy were significantly higher and postpartum depressive symptoms was significantly lower. In the control group, there were no significant differences in any of the four variables between the pre-test and post-test. CONCLUSIONS Our findings indicated that the mobile health application may help to improve perceived social support, maternal self-efficacy and reduce postpartum depressive symptoms. The finding of the mobile health application's effect extends our understanding of integrative effects of mindfulness and perceived social support on reduction of postpartum depressive symptoms and suggests clinical potentials in the treatment of postpartum depressive symptoms.

Development of a Mobile Application of Internet-Based Support Program on Parenting Outcomes for Primiparous Women. Abstract
Primiparous women usually experience various parenting problems after childbirth that have negative effects on the well-being of mothers and infants. Although e-Support technology could provide an innovative and easily accessible intervention approach, mobile-phone interventions remain limited for Chinese primiparous women. Therefore, a new mobile application (APP) called the "Internet-based Support Program" ("ISP") was designed, incorporating the self-efficacy theory and the social-exchange theory for Chinese first-time mothers to improve their levels of maternal self-efficacy (MSE), social support, and satisfaction, as well as to reduce their postpartum depression symptoms. The research was conducted to develop and optimize the "ISP" APP for new mothers via a theory-, evidence-, and person-based approach. Five modules of "learning forum", "communication forum", "ask-the-expert forum", "baby home forum", and "reminder forum" were included in the APP to meet various parenting needs of first-time mothers; and its contents and functions were validated by the experts and primiparous women. The majority of participants gave positive feedback on the APP's perceived ease of use and usefulness. The "ISP" APP was the first designed for Chinese primiparous women, and a multicenter randomized controlled trial (RCT) will be conducted to measure its effectiveness on parenting outcomes.
