Abstract
(1) Background: Currently, an increasing number of women postpone pregnancy beyond the age of 35. Gynecological cancers affect a significant proportion of women of reproductive age, necessitating the development of fertility preservation methods to fulfill family planning. Consequently, providing treatment options that preserve fertility in women diagnosed with gynecological cancers has become a crucial component of care for survivors. (2) Methods: We conducted an extensive search of relevant scientific publications in PubMed and Embase databases and performed a narrative review, including high-quality peer-reviewed research on fertility after being treated for gynecologic cancers, reporting pregnancy rates, birth rates, and pregnancy outcomes in cancer survivors as well as therapeutic options which partially preserve fertility and methods for obtaining a pregnancy in survivors. (3) Discussion: The medicine practiced today is focused on both treating the neoplasm and preserving the quality of life of the patients, with fertility preservation being an important element of this quality. This leads to an improved quality of life, allowing these women to become mothers even in the seemingly adverse circumstances posed by such a pathology. However, although there are guidelines on female fertility preservation in the context of neoplasms, an analysis shows that physicians do not routinely consider it and do not discuss these options with their patients. (4) Conclusions: Advancements in medicine have led to a better understanding and management of gynecological neoplasms, resulting in increased survival rates. Once the battle against these neoplasms is won, the issue of preserving the quality of life for these women arises, with fertility preservation being an important aspect for women who have not yet fulfilled their family planning desires at the time of diagnosis. It is important for patients to be informed about the available options for fertility preservation and to be encouraged to make informed decisions in collaboration with their medical team. Standardized recommendations for onco-fertility into guidelines should be taken into consideration in the future.

Abstract
The number of children, adolescents and young adults diagnosed with cancer has been rising recently. Various oncological treatments have a detrimental effect on female fertility, and childbearing becomes a major issue during surveillance after recovery. This review discusses the impact of oncological treatments on the ovarian reserve with a thorough explanation of oncologic treatments' effects and modes of oncofertility procedures. The aim of this review is to help clinicians in making an informed decision about post-treatment fertility in their patients. Ultimately, it may lead to improved overall long-term outcomes among young populations suffering from cancer.

Abstract
RESEARCH QUESTION Is ovarian stimulation with levonorgestrel intrauterine system (LNG-IUS) in situ and co-treatment with letrozole safe and effective in patients undergoing fertility-sparing combined treatment for atypical endometrial hyperplasia (AEH) or early endometrial cancer limited to the endometrium? DESIGN Retrospective case-control study recruiting women who had undergone fertility-sparing 'combined' treatment and ovarian stimulation with letrozole and LNG-IUS in situ. The 'three steps' hysteroscopic technique was used. Once complete response was achieved, the ovaries were stimulated, and mature oocytes cryopreserved. The LNG-IUS was removed, and embryos transferred. A comparative analysis was conducted between the two control groups of the initial outcomes of ART (number of oocytes and MII oocytes retrieved): healthy infertile women undergoing ovarian stimulation for IVF/ICSI (control group A); and patients diagnosed with breast cancer who underwent ovarian stimulation with letrozole (control group B). RESULTS Of the 75 patients analysed, 15 underwent oocyte cryopreservation after achieving a complete response to fertility-sparing treatment (study group); 30 patients in control group A and B, respectively. No statistically significant differences were observed in retrieved oocytes and mature oocytes between the study and control groups. In the nine patients who underwent embryo transfer, clinical pregnancy (55.6%), cumulative live birth (44.4%) and miscarriage (20%) rates were reported. In three patients with AEH, recurrence occurred (12%) at 3, 6 and 16 months after removing the LNG-IUS to attempt embryo transfer, respectively. CONCLUSION Fertility-sparing hysteroscopic combined treatment and subsequent ovarian stimulation with letrozole and LNG-IUS in situ could be suggested to women with AEH or early endometrial cancer who ask for future fertility preservation.

Abstract
BACKGROUND In women with recurrent disease who were conservatively treated for atypical endometrial hyperplasia (AEH) and early endometrial carcinoma (EEC), the reasons why conservative treatment was chosen persist and outcomes of performing a conservative re-treatment are unclear, as pooled estimates on oncologic outcomes of such a re-treatment are lacking. OBJECTIVES To provide pooled estimates of oncologic outcomes of conservative re-treatment in women with recurrent AEH or EC. SEARCH STRATEGY A systematic review and meta-analysis was performed by searching six electronic databases from their inception to March 2022. SELECTION CRITERIA Studies that allowed extraction of data about oncologic outcomes of conservative re-treatment of women with recurrent AEH and EEC after a conservative treatment. DATA COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS Pooled prevalence of complete response (CR), poor response (PR), and recurrence after conservative re-treatment was calculated. MAIN RESULTS Fifteen studies (12 retrospective and 3 prospective) with 492 women (42.1% AEH and 57.9% EEC) were included in the systematic review, and 10 studies (8 retrospective and 2 prospective) were suitable for the meta-analysis. Pooled prevalence was 85.3% (95% confidence interval [CI] 77.0%-91.0%) for CR, 14.7% (95% CI 9.0%-23.0%) for PR, and 40.4% (95% CI 15.5%-71.4%) for recurrence. CONCLUSIONS Conservative re-treatment in AEH or EC recurrent women has a high CR rate and acceptable recurrence rate that might allow it to be considered a safe and viable option, at least as a first round of conservative treatment. Women with an unsatisfied desire for motherhood or with high surgical risk might avoid hysterectomy and attempt childbearing or spare high-risk surgery.

Abstract
Fertility-sparing treatments have become important for young women with atypical endometrial hyperplasia (AEH) or endometrial carcinoma (EC) who wish to preserve their reproductive potential. Evidence indicates a strong relationship between weight and EC and the effect of weight loss on reducing the risk of EC. We report the case of a young obese woman with a body mass index (BMI) of 46.6 kg/m2, diagnosed with grade 2 endometrial endometrioid adenocarcinoma, who underwent a combined fertility-sparing treatment with hysteroscopic resection followed by insertion of a levonorgestrel intrauterine system. After twelve months of failure to achieve a complete response, bariatric surgery was proposed to lose weight and improve the response to treatment. Histologic regression was achieved three months after surgery, with a weight loss of 30 kg and fifteen months after combined treatment of endometrial cancer. We reviewed the literature to summarize the evidence on the role of bariatric surgery and weight loss in modifying the oncologic and reproductive outcomes of women undergoing fertility-sparing treatment for atypical endometrial lesions.

Abstract
Atractylenolide II (AT-II), the major bioactive compound of Atractylodes macrocephala, exhibits anti-cancer activity against many types of tumors, but the roles and the potential mechanisms in endometrial cancer remain unclear. In the present study, AT-II treatment was found to significantly suppress RL95-2 and AN3CA cell proliferation and glycolysis, and induced their apoptosis by inactivating the ERK signaling pathway, accompanied by the changing expression of the glycolytic key enzymes and apoptotic-related proteins. Peptidyl arginine deiminase 3 (PADI3), as the candidate target gene of AT-II, was highly expressed in the endometrial cancer tissues and associated with a poor prognosis according to bioinformatics analysis. PADI3 knockdown inhibited proliferation and glycolysis in endometrial cancer cells and induced cell apoptosis. Furthermore, AT-II negatively regulated the expression of PADI3, and PADI3 overexpression reversed the effects of AT-II on endometrial cancer cells. Our findings suggested that the anti-cancer function of AT-II is associated with the suppression of glycolysis and induction of apoptosis by blocking the PADI3-ERK signaling pathway. Thus, AT-II represents a novel therapeutic target for endometrial cancer and targeting AT-II may serve as a potential strategy for the clinical therapy of endometrial cancer.

Abstract
BACKGROUND This study aimed to investigate the differences in the clinicopathological characteristics of younger and older patients with endometrial cancer (EC) and develop a nomogram to assess the prognosis of early onset EC in terms of overall survival. METHODS Patients diagnosed with EC from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database between 2004 and 2015 were selected. Clinicopathological characteristics were compared between younger and older patients, and survival analysis was performed for both groups. Prognostic factors affecting overall survival in young patients with EC were identified using Cox regression. A nomogram was created and internal validation was performed using the consistency index, decision curve analysis, receiver operating characteristic curves, and calibration curves. External validation used data from 70 patients with early onset EC. Finally, Kaplan-Meier curves were plotted to compare survival outcomes across the risk subgroups. RESULTS A total of 1042 young patients and 12,991 older patients were included in this study. Younger patients were divided into training (732) and validation (310) cohorts in a 7:3 ratio. Cox regression analysis identified age, tumorsize, grade, FIGO stage(International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics) and surgery as independent risk factors for overall survival, and a nomogram was constructed based on these factors. Internal and external validations demonstrated the good predictive power of the nomogram. In particular, the C-index for the overall survival nomogram was 0.832 [95% confidence interval (0.797-0.844)] in the training cohort and 0.839 (0.810-0.868) in the internal validation cohort. The differences in the Kaplan-Meier curves between the different risk subgroups were statistically significant. CONCLUSIONS In this study, a nomogram for predicting overall survival of patients with early onset endometrial cancer based on the SEER database was developed to help assess the prognosis of patients and guide clinical treatment.

Abstract
Advanced and recurrent gynecological cancers lack effective treatment and have poor prognosis. Besides, there is urgent need for conservative treatment for fertility protection of young patients. Therefore, continued efforts are needed to further define underlying therapeutic targets and explore novel targeted strategies. Considerable advancements have been made with new insights into molecular mechanisms on cancer progression and breakthroughs in novel treatment strategies. Herein, we review the research that holds unique novelty and potential translational power to alter the current landscape of gynecological cancers and improve effective treatments. We outline the advent of promising therapies with their targeted biomolecules, including hormone receptor-targeted agents, inhibitors targeting epigenetic regulators, antiangiogenic agents, inhibitors of abnormal signaling pathways, poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitors, agents targeting immune-suppressive regulators, and repurposed existing drugs. We particularly highlight clinical evidence and trace the ongoing clinical trials to investigate the translational value. Taken together, we conduct a thorough review on emerging agents for gynecological cancer treatment and further discuss their potential challenges and future opportunities.

Abstract
In fertility-sparing management (FSM), two different issues can be distinguished: the risk of recurrence/death and the chance of childbearing. Survival is the principal outcome in oncology, and definitions of overall survival and progression-free survival are therefore well defined and widely accepted. The introduction of FSM to clinical practice was determined by the desire of young cancer patients to still have children. Initially, in small groups of patients, any pregnancy and/or childbirth were considered successes. Nowadays, FSM occupies an important place in cancer treatment, with thousands of young women treated successfully. However, in contrast to survival, no definition has been established for evaluating the reproductive outcomes of FSM. This review article evaluates the current pregnancy and birth rates of cancer patients. Differences between fertility-sparing and conservative treatment are analyzed, and improper and confusing interchangeable applications of these terms are pointed out. Additionally, various reasons for choosing FSM as a treatment method-which are not directly related to fertility preservation (treatment mismatch)-are presented. Uniform definitions of reproduction after FSM should be established to enable the comparison of results and facilitate the counseling of patients regarding the chances of reproduction.

Abstract
Background: 4% of endometrial cancers are diagnosed in young women and 70% are nulliparous. Preserve fertility in these patients is of major interest. It is demonstrated that hysteroscopic resection of focal well-differentiated endometrioid adenocarcinoma, followed by progestins achieve a complete response rate of 95.3%. Recently, fertility-sparing treatment was proposed also in case of moderately differentiated endometrioid tumors, with a relatively high remission rate.
Objective: To show a new hysteroscopic approach, in case of fertility-sparing treatment of diffuse endometrial G2 endometrioid adenocarcinoma.
Materials and Methods: Stepwise demonstration of the technique with narrated video footage for the fertility-sparing management of diffuse endometrial G2 endometrioid adenocarcinoma, combining the use of a 15 Fr bipolar miniresectoscope and ‘three-steps’ resection technique (Karl Storz, Tuttlingen, Germany) with a Tissue Removal Device (TRD) (Truclear Elite Mini, Medtronic).
Main outcome measures: negative hysteroscopic assessment and endometrial biopsies at three and six months.
Results: Normal endometrial cavity and negative biopsies
Conclusion: Combined hysteroscopic technique, in case of diffuse endometrial G2 endometrioid adenocarcinoma, followed by double progestin therapy (Levonorgestrel releasing Intrauterine Device + Megestrole Acetate 160 mg/daily), may be associated with higher complete response rate; the use of TRD to complete the resection near tubal ostia may reduce risk of post-operative intrauterine adhesions and improve reproductive outcomes.

Recent evidence-based guidelines of the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO), the European SocieTy for Radiotherapy & Oncology (ESTRO) and the European Society of Pathology (ESP) provide comprehensive guidelines on all relevant issues of diagnosis and treatment in EC in a multidisciplinary setting. While also addressing work-up for fertility preservation treatments and the management and follow-up for fertility preservation, it was considered relevant to further extend the guidance on fertility sparing treatment.
Objectives: To define recommendations for fertility-sparing treatment of patients with endometrial carcinoma.
Materials and Methods: ESGO/ESHRE/ESGE nominated an international multidisciplinary development group consisting of practicing clinicians and researchers who have demonstrated leadership and expertise in the care and research of EC (11 experts across Europe). To ensure that the guidelines are evidence-based, the literature published since 2016, identified from a systematic search was reviewed and critically appraised. In the absence of any clear scientific evidence, judgment was based on the professional experience and consensus of the development group. The guidelines are thus based on the best available evidence and expert agreement. Prior to publication, the guidelines were reviewed by 95 independent international practitioners in cancer care delivery and patient representatives.
Results: The multidisciplinary development group formulated 48 recommendations for fertility-sparing treatment of patients with endometrial carcinoma in four sections: patient selection, tumour clinicopathological characteristics, treatment and special issues.
Conclusions: These recommendations provide guidance to professionals caring for women with endometrial carcinoma, including but not limited to professionals in the field of gynaecological oncology, onco-fertility, reproductive surgery, endoscopy, conservative surgery, and histopathology, and will help towards a holistic and multidisciplinary approach for this challenging clinical scenario.

WHAT IS KNOWN ALREADY The standard surgical treatment of endometrial carcinoma consisting of total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy drastically affects the quality of life of patients and creates a challenge for clinicians. Recent evidence-based guidelines of the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO), the European SocieTy for Radiotherapy & Oncology (ESTRO) and the European Society of Pathology (ESP) provide comprehensive guidelines on all relevant issues of diagnosis and treatment in endometrial carcinoma in a multidisciplinary setting. While addressing also work-up for fertility preservation treatments and the management and follow-up for fertility preservation, it was considered relevant to further extend the guidance on fertility-sparing treatment. STUDY DESIGN SIZE DURATION A collaboration was set up between the ESGO, the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE), aiming to develop clinically relevant and evidence-based guidelines focusing on key aspects of fertility-sparing treatment in order to improve the quality of care for women with endometrial carcinoma across Europe and worldwide. PARTICIPANTS/MATERIALS SETTING METHODS ESGO/ESHRE/ESGE nominated an international multidisciplinary development group consisting of practising clinicians and researchers who have demonstrated leadership and expertise in the care and research of endometrial carcinoma (11 experts across Europe). To ensure that the guidelines are evidence-based, the literature published since 2016, identified from a systematic search was reviewed and critically appraised. In the absence of any clear scientific evidence, judgement was based on the professional experience and consensus of the development group. The guidelines are thus based on the best available evidence and expert agreement. Prior to publication, the guidelines were reviewed by 95 independent international practitioners in cancer care delivery and patient representatives. MAIN RESULTS AND THE ROLE OF CHANCE The multidisciplinary development group formulated 48 recommendations in four sections; patient selection, tumour clinicopathological characteristics, treatment and special issues. LIMITATIONS REASONS FOR CAUTION Of the 48 recommendations, none could be based on level I evidence and only 16 could be based on level II evidence, implicating that 66% of the recommendations are supported only by observational data, professional experience and consensus of the development group. WIDER IMPLICATIONS OF THE FINDINGS These recommendations provide guidance to professionals caring for women with endometrial carcinoma, including but not limited to professionals in the field of gynaecological oncology, onco-fertility, reproductive surgery, endoscopy, conservative surgery and histopathology, and will help towards a holistic and multidisciplinary approach for this challenging clinical scenario. Abstract
Endometrial cancer is one of the most common gynecological malignancies worldwide; incidences are rising, with 417,367 new cases registered in 2020. Of these, the proportion of women that are of reproductive age is around 4-14% and the number is increasing. Thus, in addition to oncological therapy and safety, the preservation of fertility plays a central role in therapeutic strategies. Molecular genetic patient data provide a robust supplementary benefit that improves primary risk assessment and can help design personalized treatment options to curtail over- and undertreatment and contribute to fertility preserving strategies. The aim of our review is to provide an overview of the latest significant recommendations in the diagnosis and therapy of endometrial cancer during reproductive age. In this paper the most recent groundbreaking molecular discoveries in endometrial cancer are highlighted and discussed as an opportunity to enhance the prognostic and therapy options in this special patient collective.

Abstract
Introduction Hysteroscopy is a useful procedure for diagnosing endometrial cancer. There is controversy regarding whether hysteroscopy affects the prognosis of endometrial cancer by prompting cancer cell into intraperitoneal dissemination. Our purpose was to confirm whether hysteroscopy could be a risk factor of the tumor stage, recurrence and survival rate of endometrial cancer. Methods This multicenter retrospective study included all consecutive patients who had endometrial carcinoma diagnosed preoperatively with hysteroscopy and directed endometrial biopsy (HSC, group A) and dilatation and curettage (D&C, group B) between February 2014 and December 2018 at the Fujian Provincial, China. We compared the demographic feature, clinical characteristics and prognosis between the two groups. Results A total of 429 patients were included in the study (Group A, n = 77; Group B, n = 352). There was no significant difference between their baseline characteristics [including age, BMI, histological type and International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) stage]. By comparing several pathological conditions that may affect prognosis, there were no significant differences between the two groups in the peritoneal cytology, depth of myometrial invasion, the positivity of lymph nodes, lymphovascular space invasion and paraaortic lymph node dissection. Finally, no significant difference was found between the two groups in overall survival (OS) (P = 0.189) or recurrence free survival (RFS) (P = 0.787). Conclusion Under certain inflation pressure and distension medium, hysteroscopic examination and lesion biopsy ensure the safety and have no adverse effects on prognosis compared to conventional curettage.

Abstract
BACKGROUND To evaluate the oncologic and pregnancy outcomes of patients with early stage endometrioid adenocarcinoma (EMC) and atypical endometrial hyperplasia (AEH) treated with controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) with or without levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine device (LNG-IUD) after fertility-sparing treatment (FSTs). METHODS A total of 67 patients with EMC or AEH who achieved complete response after FSTs and underwent COS between January 2010 and December 2019 were retrospectively reviewed. Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses were used to evaluate the risk factors for recurrence after COS. RESULTS The average age was 32.9 ± 3.46 years. 23.9 % of these patients relapsed after COS during the follow-up period. The 2-year cumulative recurrence rate was 14.9 % (9.1 % and 20.6 % in the LNG-IUD and control groups, respectively). Compared with the control group, the recurrence rate was lower in patients with LNG-IUDs present during COS (12.1 % vs 35.5 %, p = 0.027). The clinical pregnancy (42.4 % vs 52.9 %, p = 0.392) and live birth (21.2 % vs 29.4 %, p = 0.444) rates were similar between the LNG-IUD and control groups. Age, body mass index (BMI), histology, FST type and time to complete response were not related to prognosis after COS. After adjusting for age and BMI in a multivariate Cox regression model, the use of LNG-IUD during COS was a favorable factor for better oncologic outcomes after COS (HR 0.263, 95 %CI 0.084-0.822, p = 0.022). CONCLUSIONS Patients with early stage EMC and AEH treated with assisted reproductive technology after FSTs might benefit from LNG-IUDs present during COS.

Abstract
Background The gold standard treatment for early-stage endometrial cancer (EC) is hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (BSO) with lymphadenectomy. In selected patients desiring pregnancy, fertility-sparing treatment (FST) can be adopted. Our review aims to collect the most incisive studies about the possibility of conservative management for patients with grade 2, stage IA EC. Different approaches can be considered beyond demolition surgery, such as local treatment with levonorgestrel-releasing intra-uterine device (LNG-IUD) plus systemic therapy with progestins. Study design Our systematic review was performed according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) statement. PubMed, EMBASE, and Scopus databases were consulted, and five studies were chosen based on the following criteria: patients with a histological diagnosis of EC stage IA G2 in reproductive age desiring pregnancy and at least one oncological outcome evaluated. Search imputes were “endometrial cancer” AND “fertility sparing” AND “oncologic outcomes” AND “G2 or stage IA”. Results A total of 103 patients were included and treated with a combination of LNG-IUD plus megestrol acetate (MA) or medroxyprogesterone acetate (MPA), gonadotrophin-releasing hormone (GnRH) plus MPA/MA, hysteroscopic resectoscope (HR), and dilation and curettage (D&C). There is evidence of 70% to 85% complete response after second-round therapy prolongation to 12 months. Conclusions Conservative measures must be considered temporary to allow pregnancy and subsequently perform specific counseling to adopt surgery. Fertility-sparing management is not the current standard of care for young women with EC. It can be employed for patients with early-stage diseases motivated to maintain reproductive function. Indeed, the results are encouraging, but the sample size must be increased.

Abstract
Introduction Lynch Syndrome (LS) represents the hereditary condition that is most frequently associated with endometrial cancer (EC). The aim of this study is to assess the presence of Lynch Syndrome (LS) in young women with mismatch repair (MMR)-deficient atypical endometrial hyperplasia (AEH) and non-myoinvasive FIGO G1 endometrioid EC and its possible impact on the outcome of conservative treatment. Methods Six MMR-deficient cases identified from a previous cohort of 69 conservatively treated patients were selected to be screened for germline mutations in MMR genes. In each patient, the outcomes of conservative treatment for AEH and EEC, including response, relapse, progression, and pregnancy, were assessed. Results Five out of 6 patients underwent genetic test for LS. Three out of these 5 patients showed a positive genetic test. Patient 1 showed the c.942 + 2 T>A heterozygous variant of MSH2 mutation; after 12 months of complete response, she had relapse and progression of disease. Patient 4 showed the c.2459-1G>C variant of MSH2 mutation; after complete response, she failed to achieve pregnancy; she had relapse after 24 months and underwent hysterectomy. Patient 6 showed the c.803 + 1 heterozygous variant of PMS2 mutation; she had relapse of disease after 18 months from the first complete response and then underwent hysterectomy. Conclusions In this series, 3 out of 6 women with MMR-deficiency had LS. None of the patients achieved pregnancy, and those who responded to treatment had subsequent relapse of disease. Patients undergoing fertility-sparing treatment for atypical endometrial hyperplasia and endometrial cancer should perform MMR immunohistochemical analysis in order to screen LS.

Abstract
The main aim of the study is to analyze the impact of Artemin on survival and prognosis in endometrial cancer (EC) patients by bioinformatics methods. As a member of the glial-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) family, Artemin is not only important in the repair process of nerve damage, but also involved in tumorigenesis and metastasis. In this study, we demonstrated that Artemin mRNA was overexpressed in EC tissues. Artemin expression was closely related to the FIGO stage, pathologic differentiation, deep myometrial infiltration, lymphatic metastasis, and survival status. Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that ectopic overexpression of Artemin predicted poor survival prognosis. Artemin expression could be used as an independent risk factor for the prognosis of EC patients. The proliferation of EC cells was significantly downregulated by silencing of Artemin. Artemin promotes tumor progression by regulating the proliferation of EC cells, thereby affecting the prognosis of EC patients.

Abstract
Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is a frequent symptom in perimenopausal women. It is defined as uterine bleeding in which the duration, frequency, or amount of bleeding is considered excessive and negatively affects the woman’s quality of life (QoL) and psychological well-being. In cases of structural uterine pathology, hysterectomy (usually performed via a minimally invasive approach) offers definitive symptom relief and is associated with long-lasting improvement of QoL and sexuality. However, over the past 30 years, uterus-preserving treatments have been introduced as alternatives to hysterectomy. Hysteroscopic polypectomy, myomectomy, or endometrial resection/endometrial ablation are minimally invasive techniques that can be used as an alternative to hysterectomy to treat AUB due to benign conditions. Although associated with high patient satisfaction and short-term improvement in their QoL, hysteroscopic treatments do not eliminate the risk of AUB recurrence or the need for further intervention. Therefore, considering the impact of different treatment options on QoL and sexuality during preoperative shared decision making could help identify the most appropriate and personalized treatment options for perimenopausal women suffering from AUB.
