Abstract
A series of flavonoid derivatives containing piperazine sulfonate were designed and synthesized. The results of antiviral experiments in vivo showed that some target compounds had good inhibitory effect on tobacco mosaic virus (TMV). The EC50 values of S15 and S19 curative activity were 174.5 and 110.4 μg/mL, respectively, which were better than 253.7 μg/mL of Ningnanmycin (NNM). The EC50 values of S4 and S19 protection activity were 140.3 and 116.1 μg/mL, respectively, better than that of NNM (247.1 μg/mL). Microscale thermophoresis (MST) and molecular docking experiments showed that S19 had a good molecular binding force with TMV. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) results show that S19 can fracture TMV particles and affect self-assembly. S19 treatment had almost no effect on the growth of seeds and seedlings, and can change the content of chlorophyll malondialdehyde (MDA) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) in tobacco to a certain extent, and improve the disease resistance of tobacco.

Abstract
Nowadays, the scientific community has focused on dealing with different kinds of diseases by exploring the chemistry of various heterocycles as novel drugs. In this connection, medicinal chemists identified carbonic anhydrases (CA) as one of the biologically active targets for curing various diseases. The widespread distribution of these enzymes and the high degree of homology shared by the different isoforms offer substantial challenges to discovering potential drugs. Medicinal and synthetic organic chemists have been continuously involved in developing CA inhibitors. This review explored the chemistry of different heterocycles as CA inhibitors using the last 11 years of published research work. It provides a pathway for young researchers to further explore the chemistry of a variety of synthetic as well as natural heterocycles as CA inhibitors.

Abstract
Reactions of 2-amino-1,3-benzothiazole with aliphatic, aromatic and heteroaromatic α-iodoketones in the absence of bases or catalysts have been studied. The reaction proceeds by N-alkylation of the endocyclic nitrogen atom followed by intramolecular dehydrative cyclization. The regioselectivity is explained and the mechanism of the reaction is proposed. A number of new linear and cyclic iodide and triiodide benzothiazolium salts have been obtained and their structure proved by NMR and UV spectroscopy.

Abstract
This manuscript deals with the synthesis and computational and experimental evaluation of the antimicrobial activity of twenty-nine 4-(indol-3-yl)thiazole-2-amines and 4-ιndol-3-yl)thiazole acylamines. An evaluation of antibacterial activity against Gram (+) and Gram (-) bacteria revealed that the MIC of indole derivatives is in the range of 0.06-1.88 mg/mL, while among fourteen methylindole derivatives, only six were active, with an MIC in the range of of 0.47-1.88 mg/mL. S. aureus appeared to be the most resistant strain, while S. Typhimurium was the most sensitive. Compound 5x was the most promising, with an MIC in the range of 0.06-0.12 mg/mL, followed by 5d and 5m. An evaluation of these three compounds against resistant strains, namely MRSA P. aeruginosa and E. coli, revealed that they were more potent against MRSA than ampicillin. Furthermore, compounds 5m and 5x were superior inhibitors of biofilm formation, compared to ampicillin and streptomycin, in terms Compounds 5d, 5m, and 5x interact with streptomycin in additive manner. The antifungal activity of some compounds exceeded or was equipotent to those of the reference antifungal agents bifonazole and ketoconazole. The most potent antifungal agent was found to be compound 5g. Drug likeness scores of compounds was in a range of -0.63 to 0.29, which is moderate to good. According to docking studies, E. coli MurB inhibition is probably responsible for the antibacterial activity of compounds, whereas CYP51 inhibition was implicated in antifungal activity. Compounds appeared to be non-toxic, according to the cytotoxicity assessment in MRC-5 cells.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to synthesize imidazo[2,1-b]thiazole derivatives, characterize them with spectroscopical techniques and investigate for cytotoxic and apoptotic effects on glioma C6 cancer cell line. The in vitro anticancer activities were also investigated against focal adhesion kinase. Most of the compounds, particularly the derivatives carrying 3-oxo-1-tiya-4-azaspiro[4.5]decane moiety, exhibited higher or comparable activities in comparison with the reference drug, cisplatin. Compounds with methyl, propyl, phenyl moieties at the eighth and second position of the spirothiazolidinone ring showed high FAK inhibitory activities. In addition, molecular docking studies shed light on the binding modes of the synthesized compounds. The critical interactions with amino acid residues located in the active site were revealed. The results obtained from both biological assay data and computational results might provide insight into developing new inhibitors against focal adhesion kinase.

Abstract
Considering the diversified pharmacological importance of thiazole and triazole heterocyclic moieties, a unique series of S-aralkylated bi-heterocyclic hybrids, 7a-l, was synthesized in a convergent manner. The structures of newly synthesized compounds were characterized by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, IR, and EI-MS spectral studies. The structure-activity relationship of these compounds was envisaged by analyzing their inhibitory effects against tyrosinase, whereby all these molecules exhibited potent inhibitory potentials relative to the standard used. The Kinetics mechanism was ascertained by Lineweaver-Burk plots, which revealed that 7g inhibited tyrosinase non-competitively by forming an enzyme-inhibitor complex. The inhibition constants Ki calculated from Dixon plots for this compound was 0.0057µM. These bi-heterocyclic molecules also disclosed good binding energy values (kcal /mol) when assessed computationally. So, these molecules can be considered promising medicinal scaffolds for the treatment of skin disorders.

Abstract
A series of trifluoromethylpyridine amide derivatives containing sulfur moieties (thioether, sulfone and sulfoxide) was designed and synthesized. Their antibacterial activities against Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo), Ralstonia solanacearum (R. solanacearum) and insecticidal activities against P. xylostella were evaluated. Notably, the half-maximal effective concentration (EC50) value of sulfone-containing compound F10 is 83 mg L-1 against Xoo, which is better than that of commercial thiodiazole copper (97 mg L-1) and bismerthiazol (112 mg L-1). Thioether-containing compounds E1, E3, E5, E6, E10, E11 and E13 showed much higher activities against R. solanacearum with the EC50 value from 40 to 78 mg L-1, which are much lower than that of thiodiazole copper (87 mg L-1) and bismerthiazol (124 mg L-1). Generally, most of the sulfone-containing compounds and sulfoxide-containing compounds showed higher activities against Xoo than that of the corresponding thioether-containing compound, but most of the thioether-containing compounds contributed higher antibacterial activities against R. solanacearum. Furthermore, title compounds E3, E11, E24 and G2 showed good insecticidal activities of 75%, 70%, 70% and 75%, respectively.
