Abstract
Aromatic α-aminoazaheterocycles are the focus of significant investigations and exploration by researchers owing to their key role in diverse biological and physiological processes. The existence of their derivatives in numerous drugs and alkaloids is due to their heterocyclic nitrogenous nature. Therefore, the synthesis of a structurally diverse range of their derivatives through simple and convenient methods represents a vital field of synthetic organic chemistry. Multicomponent reactions (MCRs) provide a platform to introduce desirable structure diversity and complexity into a molecule in a single operation with a significant reduction in the use of harmful organic waste, and hence have attracted particular attention as an excellent tool to access these derivatives. This review covers the advances made from 2010 to the beginning of 2020 in terms of the utilization of α-aminoazaheterocycles as synthetic precursors in MCRs.

Abstract
AbstractHerein is described a diastereoselective Michael addition of Grignard reagents to α, β- unsaturated diethyl malonates incorporated with a 2-oxazolidone chiral auxiliary. The catalyst-free Michael addition proceeds with good chemical efficiency and excellent stereoselectivity; and it provides new thoughts to the asymmetric synthesis of β-substituted β3 amino acid derivatives.

Abstract
AbstractA series of novel chiral 5-(substituted aryl)-1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives was synthesized in an enantioselective three-component Mannich reaction using cinchona alkaloid squaramide catalyst with excellent enantioselectivities (up to >99% enantiomeric excess (ee)). The bioassay results showed that these derivatives possessed good to excellent activities against tobacco mosaic virus (TMV).

Abstract
Starting from benzofuran-2-methanal, 6-substituted benzothiazole-2-amines and malonic esters, sixteen title compounds were designed and synthesized seeking to introduce anti-TMV activity. The structures of the newly synthesized compounds were confirmed by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, IR spectra, and MS (HREI) analysis. The bioassays identified some of these new compounds as having moderate to good anti-TMV activity. The compounds 5i and 5m have good antiviral activity against TMV with a curative rate of 52.23% and 54.41%, respectively, at a concentration of 0.5 mg/mL.
