Abstract
Background: Medication used to treat Type 2 diabetes by decreasing the absorption of carbohydrates in the intestine consists of α-glucosidase inhibitors. Polyhydroquinoline derivatives have attracted interest as excellent antidiabetic agents. Methods: Polyhydroquinoline derivatives (1-17) were synthesized and tested for in vitro α-glucosidase inhibitory activity. Results: All the synthesized compounds exhibited excellent to good inhibitory activity, having IC50 values from 1.23 ± 0.03 to 73.85 ± 0.61 μM, compared with the standard drug, acarbose. The binding mechanism of these derivatives with α-glucosidase was deduced by docking studies and indicated that a slight variation in the orientation of compounds, affects their binding capability. Conclusion: In order to find new antidiabetic drugs, this study has discovered prospective lead candidates.

Abstract
Triazoles are biologically important compounds that play a crucial role in biomedical applications. In this study, we present an innovative and eco-friendly nanocatalyst system for synthesizing compounds via the click reaction. The system is composed of Arabic gum (AG), iron oxide magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4 MNPs), (3-chloropropyl) trimethoxysilane (CPTMS), 2-aminopyridine (AP), and Cu(i) ions. Using AP as an anchor for Cu(i) ions and Fe3O4 MNPs allows facile separation using an external magnet. The hydrophilic nature of the Fe3O4@AG/AP-Cu(i) nanocomposite makes it highly efficient in water as a green solvent. The highest reaction efficiency (95.0%) was achieved in H2O solvent with 50.0 mg of nanocatalyst for 60 min at room temperature. The reaction yield remained consistent for six runs, demonstrating the stability and effectiveness of the catalyst.

Abstract
Silica supported iron trifluoroacetate and iron trichloroacetate green Lewis acid catalysts were developed by a novel, cheap, environment-friendly approach and utilized in the synthesis of hexahydroquinoline-3-carboxamide derivatives. The structure and morphology of the prepared Lewis acid catalysts were studied by FTIR, PXRD, FE-SEM, HR-TEM, EDX, BET, TGA and NH3-TPD techniques. The present catalysts shows maximum conversion efficiency in hexahydroquinoline-3-carboxamide derivatives synthesis at 70 °C in solvent free reaction condition with best product yield in a short reaction time. Both catalysts are reusable and simple to recover, and perform meritoriously in water as well as in a variety of organic solvents. The key advantages of the current synthetic route are permitting of a variety of functional groups, quick reaction time, high product yield, mild reaction condition, recyclability of catalyst and solvent-free green synthesis. This makes it more convenient, economic and environmentally beneficial.

Abstract
In the current study, we introduce a hybrid magnetic nanocomposite comprised of curcumin (Cur), iron oxide magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4 MNPs), melamine linker (Mel), and silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs). Initially, a facile in situ route is administrated for preparing the Fe3O4@Cur/Mel-Ag effectual magnetic catalytic system. In addition, the advanced catalytic performance of the nanocomposite to reduce the nitrobenzene (NB) derivatives as hazardous chemical substances were assessed. Nevertheless, a high reaction yield of 98% has been achieved in short reaction times 10 min. Moreover, the Fe3O4@Cur/Mel-Ag magnetic nanocomposite was conveniently collected by an external magnet and recycled 5 times without a noticeable diminish in catalytic performance. Therefore, the prepared magnetic nanocomposite is a privileged substance for NB derivatives reduction since it achieved notable catalytic activity.

Abstract
Polyhydroquinoline (PHQ) are the unsymmetrical Hantzsch derivatives of 1,4-dihydropyridines with several biological applications. In this work, twenty-five (3-27) new Schiff's base derivatives of polyhydroquinoline hydrazide were synthesized in excellent to good yields by a multi-component reaction. The structures of the synthesized products (1-27) were deduced with the help of spectroscopic techniques, such as 1H-, 13C -NMR, and HR-ESI-MS. The synthesized products (1-27) were tested for their antibacterial and in vitro calcium -channel-blocking (CCB) potentials using the agar-well diffusion method, and isolated rat aortic ring preparations, respectively. Among the series, sixteen compounds were found to inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli and Enterococcus faecalis. Among them, compound 17 was observed to be the most potent one at a dose 2 µg/mL, with an 18 mm zone of inhibition against both bacteria when it was compared with the standard drug amoxicillin. Eight compounds showed CCB activity of variable potency; in particular, compound 27 was more potent, with an EC50 value of 0.7 (0.3-1.1) µg/mL, indicating their CCB effect.

Abstract
A magnetic surfactant, which combines the properties of a surfactant with magnetic responsiveness, shows great potential in biotechnology, separation, adsorption, and catalysis, especially in non-invasive manipulation through a magnetic field. However, a molecularly magnetic surfactant is usually paramagnetic for the amorphous and less ordered structures. In this work, magnetic surfactant 1-methyl-3-hexadecane-imidazolium [MnCl2Br] (C16M[Mn]) is reported to self-assemble in water. The C16M[Mn] magnetic surfactant self-assembles in water to form a lamellar hydrogel from 10 to 50 wt % at and below room temperature. The hydrogel changes from a gel to a sol at 30 °C, and the hexadecane chains in the hydrogel change from noncrystalline to crystalline at 0 °C. In the hydrogel state, the lamellar domain spacing is varied from 36 to 45 nm depending on the concentration and self-assembly temperature. After self-assembly, the magnetic susceptibility of the freeze-dried magnetic surfactant is increased. Most important is the fact that the freeze-dried sample at a high concentration (40-50 wt %) shows the highest magnetic susceptibility, which is related to the closer molecular packing and the more ordered structures. The self-assembly-induced increase in magnetic susceptibility provides a method for improving the magnetic properties of a magnetic surfactant.

Abstract
Sulfonated polymer-based materials, among heterogeneous catalysts, are frequently utilized in chemical transformations due to their outstanding chemical and physical durability. In this regard, a magnetic sulfonated melamine–formaldehyde resin (MSMF) catalyst was successfully prepared from a mixture of sulfonated melamine–formaldehyde and Fe3O4 nanoparticles in two steps. MSMF was used as a heterogeneous catalyst for the one-pot, three-component condensation of benzyl pyrazolyl naphthoquinones in water as a green solvent and 4-[(indol-3-yl)-arylmethyl]-1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolones. The antimicrobial and antioxidant activities of catalyst, benzyl pyrazolyl naphthoquinones, and 4-[(indol-3-yl)-arylmethyl]-1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolones were evaluated using agar disk-diffusion and DPPH assays, respectively. The antioxidant activity of the catalyst and 4-[(indol-3-yl)-arylmethyl]-1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolones was found to be 75% and 90%, respectively. Furthermore, catalyst, benzyl pyrazolyl naphthoquinones, and 4-[(indol-3-yl)-arylmethyl]-1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolones exhibited antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. In conclusion, MSMF is a superior catalyst for green chemical processes, owing to its high catalytic activity, stability, and reusability.
