Abstract
This series illustrates how rear-end impact motor vehicle collisions (MVCs) alter the cervical spine's alignment and demonstrates therapeutic use of cervical extension traction to improve lordotic alignment and other outcomes. This is a retrospective reporting of 7 adult patients (4 males and 3 females, 28-42 years) treated for cervical hypolordosis. These subjects received Chiropractic BioPhysics® (CBP®) rehabilitation and then were involved in a rear-end MVC. All cases had radiographic assessment that quantified the buckling of the cervical spine, presumably resulting directly from the CAD trauma. After an average of 3 years and 9 months (range: 1-7.6 years) following their initial program of care, the 7 patients sought care for a second time after the MVC. At this time, compared with their previously recorded post-treatment spine radiographs, there was an average 18.7° (range: 7.6-35.4°) reduction in cervical lordosis, a 9.2 mm (range: 3.6-19.8 mm) increase in anterior head translation (AHT), an 11.3° (range: 0.2-19.9°) decrease in the atlas plane line (APL), as well as a 35.7% (range: 22-52%) average neck disability index score (NDI) measured after the MVC. After the crash, a second round of CBP rehabilitation was administered, resulting in an average 15.1° improvement in cervical lordosis, 10.9 mm reduction in AHT, 10.4° increase in APL, and a 23.7% drop in NDI after an average of 35 treatments over 9 weeks. Treatment was universally successful, as an average 80% re-establishment of the lordosis toward its pre-injury state was found. There were no adverse events reported. This case series demonstrates that motor vehicle collisions may alter the alignment of the cervical spine. Rehabilitation of the cervical curve using extension traction improved the patients' initial pre-crash alignments toward their pre-injury alignments and was likely responsible for improvement in the patients' conditions. Clinical trials are needed to confirm these findings.

Abstract
[Purpose] To document the re-establishment of the cervical lordosis following radiographically verified altered sagittal plane alignment both prior to, and following a motor vehicle collision. [Participant and Methods] A 16-year-old male presented for a non-motor collision complaint of low back pain. Initial lateral cervical radiograph demonstrated cervical hypo-lordosis. The patient was treated with a 6-week plan (18 visits) utilizing Chiropractic BioPhysics® (CBP) methods to increase the cervical lordosis. Eight months later the patient presented with new complaints as a result of a motor collision. The cervical lordosis straightened. The patient received another round of similar treatment to improve the lordosis. There was also a 6.5-month follow-up. [Results] The initial round of treatment achieved a 21° improvement in cervical lordosis. The motor vehicle collision caused a loss of 15° of lordosis. The second round of treatment achieved a 12.5° improvement in lordosis that was demonstrated to be maintained at a 6.5-month follow-up. [Conclusions] This case illustrates how a whiplash event occurring during a motor vehicle collision subluxated the cervical spine. It was also shown that CBP methods reliably corrected the lordosis after two separate treatment programs using specialized methods. Beyond trauma, radiographic screening of specific cervical subluxation is recommended following all motor collisions.

Abstract
Objective Discuss non-surgical spinal rehabilitation for a 27-year-old male with thoracic and lumbosacral spondylolistheses. A selective literature review and discussion are provided. Clinical Features A 27-year-old male presented with severe, 8/10 mid and low back pain. Initial lateral thoracic and lumbar x-rays revealed grade 1 spondylolistheses at T9-T10 and L5-S1 measuring -5.3 mm and -6.8 mm. Interventions and Outcomes The patient completed 60 sessions of Mirror Image® spinal adjustments, exercises, and traction over 30 weeks. Post-treatment x-rays showed correction in translations at T9-T10 and L5-S1 from -5.3 mm to 0.0 mm and -6.8 mm to -1.0 mm, within normal limits. 1-year follow-up x-rays showed maintained correction. Conclusions This case is the first documented evidence of non-surgical or chiropractic treatment for thoracic and lumbosacral spondylolistheses where spinal alignment was corrected. More research is needed to investigate the clinical implications and applications.

Abstract
Fears over radiation have created irrational pressures to dissuade radiography use within chiropractic. Recently, the regulatory body for chiropractors practicing in British Columbia, Canada, the College of Chiropractors of British Columbia (CCBC), contracted Pierre Côté to review the clinical use of X-rays within the chiropractic profession. A "rapid review" was performed and published quickly and included only 9 papers, the most recent dating from 2005; they concluded, "Given the inherent risks of radiation, we recommend that chiropractors do not use radiographs for the routine and repeat evaluation of the structure and function of the spine." The CCBC then launched an immediate review of the use of X-rays by chiropractors in their jurisdiction. Member and public opinion were gathered but not presented to their members. On February 4, 2021, the College announced amendments to their Professional Conduct Handbook that revoked X-ray rights for routine/repeat assessment and management of patients with spine disorders. Here, we highlight current and historical evidence that substantiates that X-rays are not a public health threat. We also point out critical and insurmountable flaws in the single paper used to support irrational and unscientific policy that discriminates against chiropractors who practice certain forms of evidence-based X-ray-guided methods.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Cervical Spondylolisthesis (CS) in children is under-studied. This cross-sectional study reports the CS prevalence in children. MATERIALS & METHODS Subjects were selected from a private practice. Inclusion criteria: 0-17 years of age; documented demographics and health complaints; neutral lateral cervical (NLC) radiographs; and CS. Exclusion criteria: pseudosubluxation. RESULTS 342 NLC radiographs were analyzed. 73 (21.3%) had CS greater than 2.0 mm. 42 (57.5%) had no musculoskeletal complaints. 8 (2.3%) had the presence of a CS greater than 3.5 mm. 5 (62.5%) had no musculoskeletal complaints. DISCUSSION Pediatric populations endure various traumas. Pediatric cervical spine biomechanics has an increased risk of upper cervical spine injury. Regular spinal radiographic exams may help identify serious spinal conditions in their pre-symptomatic state. CONCLUSION CS in pediatric populations is under-studied. CS is present in children and adolescents with and without symptoms.

Abstract
There is a faction within the chiropractic profession passionately advocating against the routine use of X-rays in the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with spinal disorders (aka subluxation). These activists reiterate common false statements such as "there is no evidence" for biomechanical spine assessment by X-ray, "there are no guidelines" supporting routine imaging, and also promulgate the reiterating narrative that "X-rays are dangerous." These arguments come in the form of recycled allopathic "red flag only" medical guidelines for spine care, opinion pieces and consensus statements. Herein, we review these common arguments and present compelling data refuting such claims. It quickly becomes evident that these statements are false. They are based on cherry-picked medical references and, most importantly, expansive evidence against this narrative continues to be ignored. Factually, there is considerable evidential support for routine use of radiological imaging in chiropractic and manual therapies for 3 main purposes: 1. To assess spinopelvic biomechanical parameters; 2. To screen for relative and absolute contraindications; 3. To reassess a patient's progress from some forms of spine altering treatments. Finally, and most importantly, we summarize why the long-held notion of carcinogenicity from X-rays is not a valid argument.
