Abstract
OBJECTIVE Despite high COVID-19 vaccination rates in many populations, concerns persist about potential adverse events, including concerns about involuntary movements. While case studies have shown occurrences of involuntary movements following COVID-19 vaccination, no systematic studies have explored this association. Our study aims to investigate the relationship between COVID-19 vaccination and involuntary movements. METHODS This study employs a longitudinal panel design. The study population consists of 165,834 responses from a total of 97,537 unique individuals sourced from the BiCoVac cohort, which is a randomly sampled cohort of Danish individuals aged 16 to 65. Data were collected through a combination of questionnaires and national registers, and analyses were conducted using mixed effects logistic regression. RESULTS Vaccinated individuals had lower odds of reporting involuntary movements compared to non-vaccinated individuals. Although adjustments attenuated the results, a consistent pattern of lower odds was observed among the vaccinated individuals. The strongest association for the first dose was observed in individuals who received the vaccine within the last 4 weeks before reporting symptoms (OR = 0.72 (0.60; 0.85)). For the second dose, the strongest association was found in individuals who received the second vaccine dose more than 4 weeks before reporting symptoms (OR = 0.77 (0.65; 0.91)). CONCLUSION The results of the study do not indicate involuntary movements as an adverse reaction to the COVID-19 vaccine. These findings support the safety profile of the COVID-19 vaccine concerning involuntary movements and contribute to enhancing public trust in vaccination programs.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Since the release of vaccines against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), there have been reports of vaccine-related neurologic complications. This study aimed to perform a descriptive systematic review of movement disorders associated with COVID-19 vaccines. METHODS We described the demographics, clinical presentation, management, outcomes, and proposed pathomechanism of the patients. A systematic review was performed according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines. A standardized tool was used to assess the quality of the cases. RESULTS We identified 8 articles that met our inclusion criteria; these articles included 10 patients who developed movement disorders after vaccination. The majority were males (n = 8), with a median age of 64.5 years. The most common movement disorder was hemichorea. The rest presented with generalized chorea with myoclonus, cervical dystonia, and akathisia. Most patients respond to immunotherapy. The standardized tool used showed that most studies had a low risk of bias. CONCLUSION The reported incidence of vaccine-related movement disorders was low based on available published cases.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Subacute adult-acquired hemichorea is a striking presentation with a broad differential, including ischemic, metabolic, and inflammatory causes. CASE We encountered a 74-year-old woman with rapid onset of hemichorea and associated encephalopathy. Following a thorough workup without identification of clear imaging or laboratory abnormalities, we empirically treated with IVIg. Her hemichorea dramatically improved. Due to relapses of hemichorea, she required repeat immunotherapy with IVIg or high dose steroids followed by maintenance mycophenolate. DISCUSSION This case of seronegative autoimmune hemichorea highlights the importance of a high index of suspicion for an inflammatory etiology of chorea when other causes are ruled out and performing an immunotherapy trial.

Abstract
ABSTRACT A 79-year-old man with nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC) presented with diplopia symptom and a history of diabetes mellitus was referred for an FDG PET/CT scan to determine the pretreatment staging. The FDG PET/CT scan revealed NPC with skull base invasion and decreased FDG uptake at the left striatum. A review of his clinical history and a brain MRI conducted 5 months ago confirmed a previous diagnosis of left hyperglycemic hemichorea. In this NPC patient with inadequate blood sugar control, unilateral striatum hypometabolism may persist for up to 5 months after the initial clinical symptoms.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Choreiform movement disorders are characterized by involuntary, rapid, irregular, and unpredictable movements of the limbs, face, neck, and trunk. These movements often initially go unnoticed by the affected individuals and may blend together with seemingly intended, random motions. Choreiform movements can occur both at rest and during voluntary movements. They typically increase in intensity with stress and physical activity and essentially cease during deep sleep stages. In particularly in advanced stages of Huntington disease (HD), choreiform hyperkinesia occurs alongside with dystonic postures of the limbs or trunk before they typically decrease in intensity. The differential diagnosis of HD can be complex. Here, the authors aim to provide guidance for the diagnostic process. This guidance was prepared for the German Neurological Society (DGN) for German-speaking countries. RECOMMENDATIONS Hereditary (inherited) and non-hereditary (non-inherited) forms of chorea can be distinguished. Therefore, the family history is crucial. However, even in conditions with autosomal-dominant transmission such as HD, unremarkable family histories do not necessarily rule out a hereditary form (e.g., in cases of early deceased or unknown parents, uncertainties in familial relationships, as well as in offspring of parents with CAG repeats in the expandable range (27-35 CAG repeats) which may display expansions into the pathogenic range). CONCLUSIONS The differential diagnosis of chorea can be challenging. This guidance prepared for the German Neurological Society (DGN) reflects the state of the art as of 2023.

Waugh Seminars in Pediatric Neurology Volume 25, April 2018, Pages 42-53 Chorea is a symptom of a broad array of genetic, structural, and metabolic disorders. While chorea can result from systemic illness and damage to diverse brain structures, injury to the basal ganglia, especially the putamen or globus pallidus, appears to be a uniting features of these diverse neuropathologies. The timing of onset, rate of progression, and the associated neurological or systemic symptoms can often narrow the differential diagnosis to a few disorders. Recognizing the correct etiology for childhood chorea is critical, as numerous disorders in this category are potentially curable, or are remediable, with early treatment.

Abstract
Chorea is a hyperkinetic movement disorder with a multitude of potential etiologies, both acquired and inherited. Although the differential diagnosis for new-onset chorea is extensive, there are often clues in the history, exam, and basic testing that can help to narrow the options. Evaluation for treatable or reversible causes should take priority, as rapid diagnosis can lead to more favorable outcomes. While Huntington's disease is most common genetic cause of chorea, multiple phenocopies also exist and should be considered if Huntington gene testing is negative. The decision of what additional genetic testing to pursue should be based on both clinical and epidemiological factors. The following review provides an overview of the many possible etiologies as well as a practical approach for a patient presenting with new-onset chorea.
