Abstract
Acquiring desirable device performance with deep-blue color purity that fulfills practical application requirements is still a challenge. Bipolar fluorescent emitters with hybrid local and charge transfer (HLCT) state may serve to address this issue. Herein, by inserting anthracene core in the deep-blue building blocks, the authors successfully developed two highly twisted D-π-A fluorescent emitters, ICz-An-PPI and IP-An-PPI, featuring different acceptor groups. Both exhibited superb thermal stabilities, high photo luminescent quantum yields and excellent bipolar transport capabilities. The non-doped OLEDs using ICz-An-PPI and IP-An-PPI as the emitting layers showed efficient blue emission with an external quantum efficiency (EQEmax ) of 4.32 % and 5.41 %, and the CIE coordinates of (0.147, 0.180) and (0.149, 0.150), respectively. In addition, the deep blue doped device based on ICz-An-PPI was achieved with an excellent CEmax of 5.83 cd A-1 , EQEmax of 4.6 % and the CIE coordinate of (0.148, 0.078), which is extremely close to the National Television Standards Committee (NTSC) standard. Particularly, IP-An-PPI-based doped device had better performance, with an EQEmax of 7.51 % and the CIE coordinate of (0.150, 0.118), which was very impressive among the recently reported deep-blue OLEDs with the CIEy <0.12. Such high performance may be attributed to the hot exciton HLCT mechanism via T7 to S2 . Our work may provide a new approach for designing high-efficiency deep-blue materials.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Assisted reproductive technologies (ARTs), such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), are thought to destabilize genomic imprints. Previous studies examining the association between ART and aberrant DNA methylation have been inconclusive. METHOD The DNA methylation status of H19 and KvDMR1was compared between newborns conceived through ART and those conceived naturally to evaluate the safety of ART. Placental tissues from 6 full-term, naturally conceived pregnancies (no gestational comorbidities) and six full-term ART pregnancies (no gestational complication) were collected. Genomic DNA (gDNA) and RNA were extracted from both groups. Real-time PCR was used to analyze the mRNA expression levels of H19 and KvDMR1 in the placenta for both groups. A whole-genome DNA methylation microarray was used to examine three placentas from full-term, naturally conceived pregnancies and three placentas from full-term IVF pregnancies. RESULT The expression level of H19 in the IVF group was significantly higher than that in the natural pregnancy group, whereas the expression level of KvDMR1 was significantly lower in the ART group than in the natural pregnancy group. Also, human ART manipulation resulted in placental gDNA methylation modifications. Conclusion: Abnormal methylation patterns were detected in phenotypically normal phenotype conceived by ART, which may occur due to imprinting errors in sperm/oocyte cells or side effects of in vitro embryo culture procedures. Further investigation is necessary to determine whether imprinted gene expression and DNA methylation can be regulated through other mechanisms. Abstract
Fourteen laboratories from 6 countries and regions participated in an international collaborative study to evaluate a multiresidue gas chromatographic (GC) method for determining 8 synthetic pyrethroid pesticides in grains, fruits, and vegetables. The study design was based on Youden’s matched-pairs principle for collaborative tests of analytical methods. Each laboratory analyzed 12 collaborative samples of wheat, oranges, and tomatoes as blind samples. Wheat samples were extracted with acetonitrile–water (2 + 1), while orange and tomato samples were extracted with acetone. Residues were partitioned into hexane, evaporated to dryness with a rotary evaporator, and then dissolved in hexane. The hexane extract was partitioned with acetonitrile and cleaned up on a 5% water-deactivated Florisil column with 6% ethyl ether in hexane as eluant. Residue concentrations were determined by GC with electron capture detection with split-less injection by comparison with single-point calibration standards. The appropriate standard concentration was determined by screening sample extracts before analysis. The multiresidue method was tested over the concentration range of 0.0951.909 mg/kg depending on the 8 different of pesticides and agricultural products analyzed in the collaborative study. Statistical analysis of data from 13 laboratories showed weighted average recoveries for 8 pyrethroids in wheat, oranges, and tomatoes at 0.105–1.909,0.095–1.909, and 0.105–0.954 mg/kg, respectively, ranging from 91.8 to 100.2%, from 88.1 to 100.6%, and from 88.2 to 101.5%, respectively. Reproducibility relative standard deviation values ranged from 6.46 to 17.74%, from 5.94 to 18.13%, and from 5.59 to 10.48%, respectively. Repeatability relative standard deviation values ranged from 6.34 to 10.84%, from 5.19 to 11.72%, and from 3.20 to 8.09%, respectively. The multiresidue GC method for determining synthetic pyrethroid pesticides in agricultural products has been adopted first action by AOAC INTERNATIONAL.

Abstract
Abstract
Eighteen laboratories participated in a collaborative study on the determination of clopidol residues in chicken muscle tissues by liquid chromatography. Of these, results from 16 laboratories which rigorously followed the method were subjected to statistical analysis. The method performance was assessed by all participants using 14 samples of chicken muscle fortified at concentrations ranging from 0.1 to 5.0 mg/kg. In addition, 9 participants each reported results for 6 clopidol-incurred samples in chicken muscle. Test portions were extracted with acetonitrile, and the extracts were purified with alumina and anion exchange resin solid-phase extraction cartridges in sequence. Clopidol was separated by reversed-phase liquid chromatography and quantified at 270 nm. Average recoveries ranged from 81.8 to 85.4%, reproducibility relative standard deviation (RSDR) ranged from 11.9 to 22.6%, and repeatability relative standard deviation (RSDr) ranged from 9.9 to 15.1%. For clopidol-incurred samples at concentrations of 0.100–0.687 mg/kg, the mean determination value range was 0.099–0.659 mg/kg; RSDR was 12.6–19.8%, RSDr was 3.1–8.5%; and HORRAT values were 0.7–1.1. The accuracy and precision of the method are in conformity with the requirements specified by AOAC INTERNATIONAL. The method was adopted Official First Action in April 2003.
