Keefektifan Teknik Mutual Stoytelling untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa SD

<p><strong>Abstract:</strong><strong> </strong>This research aimed to test the effectiveness of mutual storytelling technique to improve the motivation to learn of fifth grade students<strong>. </strong>This research was a Time Series Design that consist of one group. The research subjects were six students selected using purposive sampling technique. The technique of collecting data using questionnaire. Data analysis using the Wicoxon Signed Rank test.<strong> </strong>Based on the result of the analisis using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, it showed that the significance value is 0,027 (0,027&lt;0,05). So there is a difference between before and after given treatment to students.<strong> </strong>The conclusion of the research was that mutual storytelling technique was effective to improve the motivation to learn of fifth grade students. The result of this research could be used by classroom teachers as a reference to deepen the understanding of the implementation of mutual storytelling technique to improve motivation of learn for students. It could also be used as a reference for other researchers to innovate to conduct research using mutual storytelling techniques in other service fields.</p><strong>Abstrak : </strong>Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan teknik <em>mutual storytelling </em>untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas lima SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan <em>Time Series Design </em>yang terdiri dari satu kelompok. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 6 peserta didik yang dipilih menggunakan teknik <em>purposive sampling</em>. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Analisis data menggunakan uji <em>Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test</em>.<strong> </strong>Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji <em>Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test</em> menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,027 (0,027&lt;0,05). Dengan demikian, dapat diketahui bahwa ada perbedaan antara sebelum dan sesudah diberikan <em>treatment</em> pada peserta didik.<strong> </strong>Simpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah teknik <em>mutual storytelling</em> efektif untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas lima SD. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai referensi bagi guru kelas untuk memperdalam pemahaman pelaksanaan teknik <em>mutual storytelling </em>untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar bagi peserta didik serta dapat dijadikan referensi bagi peneliti lain untuk berinovasi melakukan penelitian menggunakan teknik <em>mutual storytelling</em> pada bidang layanan yang lain.

Hukum Islam: Dialektika Konsep Ta’abbudi dan Ta’aqquli

This paper aims to find out the concept of ta'abbudi and ta'aqquli in Islamic law, Ta'abbudi which is interpreted as a religious understanding that must be followed without having to question the reasons behind a religious sharia commandment. Meanwhile, ta'aqquli which is interpreted as a religious understanding that is born from the spirit of Islamic law is revealed. The method used in this study is based on a literature review. The data collected is based on the search for several documents, literature, scientific journals related to the context of this study. The analysis was done descriptively. The results of the study found that Ta'abbudi is absolute, static, and its existence is not based on mere outward benefit, while ta'aqquli is relative, not static, and its existence is based on the benefit of humans so that it is rational. However, every ta'aqquli must contain the values ​​of worship. On the other hand, every ta'abbudi contains benefits for humans. These two concepts have contributed greatly to the development of Islamic law

Determinants of Hypertension amongst Rice Farmers in West Java, Indonesia

The hypertension rate in Indonesia has increased significantly in the past five years, but there is limited information about the hypertension risk of farmers. Our study assesses the prevalence of hypertension in this population and examines the proportional risk of various work environment and lifestyle factors among farmers. A cross-sectional study was conducted in high and low heat stress agriculture areas of West Java, Indonesia. There were 354 male farmers aged 25 to 73 years old who participated in the study. We measured blood pressure and used a questionnaire on self-reported use of anti-hypertension drugs or diagnosis by a medical professional to define hypertension. We assessed occupational factors including farming methods, heat stress and pesticide use, and personal factors including obesity, food intake, smoking status, alcohol consumption. Multivariate analysis was used to evaluate factors potentially associated with prevalence of hypertension. Forty-six percent of farmers experience hypertension. Farming in a location with higher heat stress (WBGT) was significantly associated with increased risk of hypertension (adjusted prevalence ratio (aPR) 1.41, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.01, 1.95). Farmers who used pesticide sprayers had an increased risk of hypertension (aPR 1.90, 95% CI 0.93, 3.87). No personal/lifestyle characteristics were significantly associated with hypertension, although ever smoking and ever consuming alcohol had an increased prevalence of hypertension. This study shows the importance of work environmental factors in the prevalence of hypertension and the necessity of public health education, identification and treatment of this "silent killer" among Indonesian farmers.

Short Term Portfolio Investment and BI Rate: Do They Determine the Stabilization of Rupiah Exchange Rate in Indonesia?

This study aims to investigate the influence of short-term portfolio investments and BI interest rate on fluctuation of rupiah exchange rate in Indonesia. The data used is quarterly data from 2010 to 2016 collected from Indonesia Central Bank. Using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) method, the result showed that rupiah exchange rate was strongly influenced by shocks in the private debt securities, joint stock price index, and BI Rate, both in the long run and short run. Moreover, it is found that there was a short-run and long-run balance relationship between Short Term Portfolio Investments and BI rate against the rupiah exchange rate. Thus, it is recommended that in order to stabilize the exchange rate, it is necessary to maintain the stability of short-term portfolio investments.  

Cardiovascular Disease Risk Factors Among Blue and White-collar Workers in Indonesia

BACKGROUND

cardiovascular diseases (CVD) is the most common cause of death in Indonesia. We aimed to examine risks of CVD in workers aged 40 to 69 year related to their occupational status.

METHODS

a cross-sectional study in all provinces of Indonesia. Data from a large-scale national health survey called RISKESDAS were used to analyze factors associated with CVD. Analysis was restricted to the working population aged 40 to 69 year. There were 137,378 subjects included in the analysis. Cox's regression analysis was modified to calculate prevalence ratio for the association of CVD with diabetes mellitus (DM), hypertension, stress, body mass index (BMI), smoking, and particular demographic factors.

RESULTS

CVD was associated with occupation; white collar workers were about 1.6 times as likely to be diagnosed with CVD as to blue collar workers.  However, blue collar workers were more likely to report symptoms of CVD than white collar workers. Prevalence of CVD was higher in women than men, increasing by age and education attainment. Hypertension, DM, stress, and increased BMI added the prediction of CVD: prevalence ratio (PR) was 1.72 (95% CI 1.59-1.86), 3.89 (95% CI 3.43-4.44), 3.02 (95% CI 2.77-3.29) and 1.42 (95% CI 1.28-1.57) for BMI ≥27 relative to <25 kg/m2, respectively. The study could not explain the association with smoking.

CONCLUSION

this study added evidence of major risk factors which could be modified to reduce CVD. Some associations were likely to reflect access to health care.
