Abstract
BACKGROUND Ovarian cancer (OC) is a malignant neoplasm that displays increased vascularization. Angiopoietin-like 4 (ANGPTL4) is a secreted glycoprotein that functions as a regulator of cell metabolism and angiogenesis and plays a critical role in tumorigenesis. However, the precise role of ANGPTL4 in the OC microenvironment, particularly its involvement in angiogenesis, has not been fully elucidated. METHODS The expression of ANGPTL4 was confirmed by bioinformatics and IHC in OC. The potential molecular mechanism of ANGPTL4 was measured by RNA-sequence. We used a series of molecular biological experiments to measure the ANGPTL4-JAK2-STAT3 and ANGPTL4-ESM1 axis in OC progression, including MTT, EdU, wound healing, transwell, xenograft model, oil red O staining, chick chorioallantoic membrane assay and zebrafish model. Moreover, the molecular mechanisms were confirmed by Western blot, Co-IP and molecular docking. RESULTS Our study demonstrates a significant upregulation of ANGPTL4 in OC specimens and its strong association with unfavorable prognosis. RNA-seq analysis affirms that ANGPTL4 facilitates OC development by driving JAK2-STAT3 signaling pathway activation. The interaction between ANGPTL4 and ESM1 promotes ANGPTL4 binding to lipoprotein lipase (LPL), thereby resulting in reprogrammed lipid metabolism and the promotion of OC cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. In the OC microenvironment, ESM1 may interfere with the binding of ANGPTL4 to integrin and vascular-endothelial cadherin (VE-Cad), which leads to stabilization of vascular integrity and ultimately promotes angiogenesis. CONCLUSION Our findings underscore that ANGPTL4 promotes OC development via JAK signaling and induces angiogenesis in the tumor microenvironment through its interaction with ESM1.

Abstract
Angiopoietin4(ANGPT4) which plays a significant role in endothelial cell proliferation, survival, angiogenesis and expansion in tumors and other pathological states is a significant regulator of tumor angiogenesis. ANGPT4 expression is enhanced in many cancer cells. For example, the overexpression of ANGPT4 promotes the formation, development and progress of lung adenocarcinoma, glioblastoma and ovarian cancer. Related studies show that ANGPT4 encourages the proliferation, survival and invasion of tumor cells, while promoting the expansion of the tumor vascular system and affecting the tumor immune microenvironment. ANGPT4 can also promote carcinogenesis by affecting the ERK1/2, PI3K/AKT and other signal pathways downstream of tyrosine kinase with immunoglobulin-like and EGF-like domains 2(TIE2) and TIE2. Therefore, ANGPT4 may be a potential and significant biomarker for predicting malignant tumor progression and adverse outcomes. In addition, inhibition of ANGPT4 may be a meaningful cancer treatment. This paper reviews the latest research results of ANGPT4 in preclinical research, and emphasizes its role in carcinogenesis. Additional research on the carcinogenic function of ANGPT4 could provide new insights into cancer biology and novel methods for cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the expression levels of the F9 gene and F9 protein in hepatocellular carcinoma by combining multiple gene chip data, real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR (RT qPCR), and immunohistochemistry. Additionally, explore their correlation with the occurrence and development of hepatocellular carcinoma, as well as with various clinical indicators and prognosis. Methods: The mRNA microarray dataset from the GEO database was analyzed to identify the F9 gene with significant expression differences associated with hepatocellular carcinoma. Liver cancer and adjacent tissues were collected from 18 cases of hepatocellular carcinoma. RT-qPCR method was used to detect the F9 gene expression level. Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the F9 protein level. Combined with the TCGA database information, the correlation between F9 gene expression level and prognostic and clinicopathological parameters was analyzed. The biological function of F9 co-expressed genes associated with hepatocellular carcinoma was analyzed by the Gene Ontology (GO) and the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG). Statistical analysis was performed using Graphpad Prism software. Results: Meta-analysis results showed that the expression of the F9 gene was lower in HCC tissues than in non-cancerous tissues. Immunohistochemistry results were basically consistent with those of RT-qPCR. The data obtained from TCGA showed that the F9 gene had lower expression values in stages III-IV, T3-T4, and patients with vascular invasion. A total of 127 genes were selected for bioinformatics analysis as co-expressed genes of F9, which were highly enriched in redox processes and metabolic pathways. Conclusion: This study validates that the F9 gene and F9 protein are lower in HCC. The down-regulation of the F9 gene predicts adverse outcomes, which may provide a new therapeutic target for HCC.

Abstract
To provide guidance for the safe use of organic fertilizers and improve soil quality and tea safety, it is necessary to conduct systematic analyses of the heavy metal content of organic fertilizers applied in the main tea producing areas of China. In this study, we analyzed the heavy metal contents in organic fertilizer samples collected from 2017 to 2019. The risks of collected organic fertilizers from different areas and sources were calculated. The results showed that the average concentrations of ω(As), ω(Hg), ω(Pb), ω(Cd), ω(Cr), ω(Cu), ω(Zn), and ω(Ni) in the collected organic fertilizers were 4.60, 0.22, 27.1, 0.78, 27.9, 58.3, 250.1, and 16.3 mg·kg-1, respectively. According to the assessment standard in NY/T 525- 2021, the over-limit rates of As, Hg, Pb, Cd, and Cr were 6.19%, 1.33%, 4.42%, 4.42%, and 1.33%, respectively. With respect to the area, the qualified rates were 100% in Shaanxi, Jiangsu, Anhui, Fujian, and Guangxi; 80%-90% in Shandong, Zhejiang, Hubei, Sichuan, Yunnan, and Guangdong; and only 54.5% in Jiangxi. The qualified rates of sources were 100% in rapeseed cake, soybean cake, and pig manure; 95.8% in sheep manure; 91.7% in cow manure; 90.7% in chicken manure; 87.2% in manure of other animals; 82.4% in the mixture of plant and animal sources; 65.2% in other plant sources; and 63.6% in other sources. According to the recommended application rate, the accumulation rate of heavy metals in soil with pig manure, cow manure, chicken manure, and sheep manure would be much higher than that with rapeseed cake and soybean cake. The average accumulation rate of organic fertilizer from animal sources was 7-30 times higher than that from plant sources. Therefore, it is recommended to use rapeseed cake or soybean cake fertilizer in tea plantation and to increase the supervision of heavy metal accumulation in soil and tea in those high-risk areas.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The proper growth and development of tea plants requires moderately acidic soils and relatively low calcium levels, and excessive calcium at high pH can damage tea plant roots. To reveal the effects of calcium on the responses of tea plant to three pH levels (3.5, 5.0 and 6.5), a repeated test of two factors was designed. RESULTS Root growth and elemental analysis indicated that excessive calcium improved the growth of tea roots at low pH conditions, whereas it did not harm the growth of tea roots under normal and high pH conditions, especially at pH 6.5. Excessive calcium antagonized the absorption and utilization of magnesium by tea plants. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry results showed that the addition of Ca2+ resulted in the primary metabolism in roots being more active at a low pH level. By contrast, it had obvious adverse effects on the accumulation of root metabolites with high calcium treatment at normal or high pH. Differential metabolites identified using ultra-performance liquid chromatography quadrupole time of flight mass spectrometry indicated that flavonoids demonstrated the largest number of changes, and their biosynthesis was partially enriched with excessive calcium at low and high pH conditions, whereas it was down-regulated under normal pH conditions. Kaempferol 3-(2'-rhamnosyl-6'-acetylgalactoside) 7-rhamnoside, quercetin 3-(6'-sinapoylsophorotrioside) and delphinidin 3-(3'-p-coumaroylglucoside) showed the greatest increase. The results of gene expression related to root growth and calcium regulation were consistent with root growth and root metabolism. CONCLUSION The overall results demonstrated that high Ca concentrations further aggravate the detrimental effects of high pH to tea roots. However, it is interesting that excessive calcium reduced the harm of a low pH on tea root growth to some extent. © 2021 Society of Chemical Industry.

Abstract
The Faraday-effect based polarimeter and interferometer are developed for non-perturbation magnetic field and density measurements on the Keda Reconnection eXperiment (KRX) device. The magnetic reconnection is externally driven by a pair of parallel current plates. To design this instrument and provide an alternative way to facilitate theory-experiment comparisons via forward modeling of the diagnostics process with full plasma dynamics given by simulation, we develop a synthetic diagnostics based on 2D photonic integrated circuit simulation for magnetic reconnection on the KRX. The view-line geometry is optimized and wavelengths (1 mm) of the polarimeter and interferometer are selected to ensure the sensitivity of measurement on the KRX. We have simulated magnetic reconnection on the x-line (x-z plane) with horizontal viewing and vertical viewing for line of sight measurements. It is found that the current sheet width and indicator of magnetic reconnection can be inferred directly from the dynamics of Faraday rotation even with the line-integrated character of polarimeter-interferometer diagnostics.

Methods Thirty-four volunteers (68 eyes) were selected, including 15 males and 19 females, aged between 20 and 40 years. Test lenses were placed before the tested eyes of volunteers to induce refractive myopia with insert method, and the diopter lenses were adjusted so that the visual acuity level of one eye of volunteers was above 0.8, and the visual acuity of the other eye was at moderate damage level (<0.3 and ≥0.1). The tests were carried out under the binocular simultaneous asynchronous stimulation mode (hereinafter referred to as "binocular mode") and monocular separate stimulation mode (hereinafter referred to as "monocular mode") of virtual reality-pattern visual evoked potential (VR-PVEP), and the amplitude of PVEP of volunteers under the two modes was compared at four spatial frequencies of 8×8, 16×16, 24×24 and 32×32. Results The differences in the amplitude of P100 wave between monocular and binocular modes at 8×8 spatial frequency had no statistical significance and the differences in amplitude of P100 wave between monocular and binocular modes at 16×16, 24×24, and 32×32 spatial frequencies had statistical significance (P<0.05). The amplitude of the same eye in monocular mode was higher than that in binocular mode. Through correlation analysis, it was found that the amplitude of P100 wave in monocular mode was moderately correlated with amplitude of P100 wave in binocular mode. Conclusion In forensic identification practice, VR-PVEP is helpful for overcoming the disturbance of poor fixation, and to increase the reliability of PVEP evaluation results. It can greatly shorten the detection time of PVEP and improve work efficiency.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Uterine rupture is a serious obstetric emergency, a severe event, and a serious threat to maternal and fetal life. It is a rare and not well characterized by the fact that multiple operations of uterine cavities contribute to uterine rupture during pregnancy. Atypical uterine rupture is easily misdiagnosed as other obstetric or surgical diseases. In current guidelines, abdominocentesis is a contraindication for late pregnancy. Therefore, the cases presented in this report provide new ideas for clinical diagnosis and treatment of uterine rupture.
CASE SUMMARY Case 1, a 34-year-old woman (gravida 5, para 2), 32 wk and 4 d of gestation, presented with acute upper abdominal pain for 8 h with nausea and vomiting. Computed tomography (CT) revealed pelvic and abdominal effusion. We extracted 3 mL unclotted blood from her abdominal cavity. An emergency caesarean section was performed. A uterine rupture was found, and the fimbrial portion of the left fallopian tube was completely adhered to the rupture. The prognosis of both the mother and the infant was good. Case 2, a 39-year-old woman (gravida 10, para 1) at 34 wk and 3 d of gestation complained of persistent lower abdominal pain for half a day. Her vital signs were normal. CT revealed a high probability of pelvic and abdominal hemoperitoneum. We extracted 4 mL dark red blood without coagulation. An emergency laparotomy was performed. Uterine rupture was identified during the operation. Postoperative course in both the mother and infant was uneventful.
CONCLUSION For pregnant women in the second or the third trimester with persistent abdominal pain, abdominal effusion, fetal distress and even fetal death, the possibility of uterine rupture should be highly suspected. CT can identify acute abdominal surgical or gynecological and obstetric diseases. Abdominocentesis is helpful for diagnosing and clarifying the nature of effusion, but its clinical value need to be confirmed by further clinical studies.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the application value of new urinary biomarkers insulin-like growth factor binding protein 7 (IGFBP7) and tissue matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor-2 (TIMP-2) in acute kidney injury with decompensated hepatitis B virus-related liver cirrhosis. Methods: 45 newly hospitalized cases with decompensated hepatitis B virus-related liver cirrhosis were selected. Among them, 19 cases were combined with AKI on admission (cirrhosis-AKI group), 26 cases without AKI (cirrhosis-non-AKI group), and 12 healthy cases (normal control group). First-morning urine samples were collected and IGFBP7 and TIMP-2 were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Urinary IGFBP7 and serum creatinine (SCr) were dynamically monitored after hospitalization in cirrhosis-non-AKI group. Normally distributed measurement data were compared by t-test, and non-normally distributed measurement data were compared by rank sum test. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve and area under the curve (AUC) were used to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of the indicators. Results: Urinary IGFBP7, IGFBP7 with TIMP-2 (IGFBP7×TIMP-2) in cirrhosis-AKI group (n = 19) were equally higher than that of the cirrhosis-non-AKI group (P < 0.05). Urinary IGFBP7, TIMP-2 and IGFBP7×TIMP-2 in cirrhosis-AKI group or cirrhosis-non-AKI group were significantly higher than those of the normal control group (P < 0.01). The AUC of urinary IGFBP7 and urinary IGFBP7×TIMP-2 for diagnosis of AKI were 0.703 (95% CI 0.547-0.860) and 0.700 (95% CI 0.541-0.859), respectively. In the liver cirrhosis-non-AKI group (n = 26), 5 cases of AKI were newly diagnosed according to the changes in SCr during hospitalization (progressive group). Urinary IGFBP7 was significantly increased 2 days before the diagnosis of AKI. The concentration of urinary IGFBP7 at admission in the progressive group (n = 5) was higher than that of the non-progressive group (n = 21) (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Urinary IGFBP7 and TIMP-2 concentrations were significantly increased in patients with decompensated hepatitis B virus-related liver cirrhosis. When AKI occurred, urinary IGFBP7 and IGFBP7×TIMP-2 was further increased. Urinary IGFBP7 is valuable for early AKI diagnosis, and may play a role in predicting AKI occurrence.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the prognostic value of different critical care scoring systems in 28-day survival rate of patients with heat stroke. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 71 patients with heat stroke admitted to the department of emergency medicine of Beijing Luhe Hospital. Capital Medical University from July 2015 to September 2018. The general information and the worst values of vital signs and related pathophysiological indicators within 24 hours were collected and the sequential organ failure assessment (SOFA) , multiple organ dysfunction (MODS) , simplified acute physiological scoreⅡ (SAPS Ⅱ) and acute physiology and chronic health evaluationⅡ (APACHE Ⅱ) were calculated. The patients were divided into the survival group (n=45) and the non-survival group (n=26) according to 28-day prognosis, and the clinical data and scores of the two groups were compared. The ROC curve was drawn to analyze the evaluation value of each scoring system on the survival rate of patients at 28-day. Kaplan-Meier method was used to plot the survival curve of patients. Results: There were no significant differences in age, sex, vital signs and laboratory parameters between two groups (P>0.05) . In non-survival patients, SOFA, SAPS Ⅱ, APACHE Ⅱ scores were significantly elevated in the survival group (P<0.05) . ROC curve analysis showed that the area under ROC curve (AUC) of SOFA score for predicting 28-day survival rate was the highest, which was significantly higher than the APACHE Ⅱ, SAPS Ⅱ, MODS score. When the best cut-off value of SOFA score was 9.0, the sensitivity was 84.6%, and the specificity was 71.1%. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that 28-day survival rate after hospital discharge in patients with SOFA score<9 (n=27) was significantly higher than that in patients with SOFA score ≥9.0 (χ(2)=1.0, P<0.01) . Conclusion: SOFA, APACHE Ⅱ, SAPS Ⅱ on admission have been proved to have good prognostic ability to predict 28-day prognosis in heat stroke patients. Among them, SOFA score system has more accurate prediction value.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the effect of different anesthesia management on clinical outcomes in former prematurely born infants undergoing surgeries for retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). METHODS In this retrospective study, electronic medical record database was searched for all former prematurely born infants (gestational age < 37 weeks and post conceptual age < 60 weeks) who received ROP surgery under inhalational general anesthesia between November 2016 and October 2018. The patients were divided into two groups based on anesthesia management: laryngeal mask airway (LMA) insertion without intravenous muscle relaxant injection and with pressure support ventilation (LMA group) or airway secured with endotracheal tube (ETT) with intravenous muscle relaxant injection and pressure controlled ventilation (ETT group). Primary outcomes included perioperative adverse events and complications. Extubation time and length of stay after surgery were also recorded. RESULTS Sixty eight preterm infants in the LMA group and 100 preterm infants in the ETT group were included. The incidence of adverse events during surgery (including airway management change and desaturation) was similar in LMA group and ETT group (4.4% vs. 1.0%, P =0.364). During the early recovery period after surgery, the incidence of difficult extubation (extubation time >30 min) was significantly lower in LMA group compared with ETT group (4.4% vs.15.0%, RR=0.262, 95%CI:0.073-0.942, P=0.029). The incidence of respiratory events was similar between the two groups (20.6% vs. 27.0%, P =0.342). However, the incidence of apnea was significantly lower in the LMA group than in the ETT group (5.9% vs.19.0%, RR=0.266, 95%CI: 0.086-0.822, P =0.015). No significant difference was observed between the LMA group and ETT group in incidences of cardiovascular events (0% vs. 1.0%, P =1.000) and unplanned admission to neonatal intensive care unit (5.9% vs. 7.0%, P=0.774). No airway spasm, re-intubation, aspiration or regurgitation was observed during early recovery. During late recovery after returning to ward, the incidence of adverse events was also similar between the two groups (0% vs. 2.0%, P =0.241). The median (IQR) extubation time was 6 (5, 10) min in LMA group and 10 (6, 19) min in ETT group (P < 0.001). The median length of stay after surgery was significantly shortened in LMA group compared with ETT group [20 (17, 22) hours vs. 22 (17, 68) hours, P =0.002]. CONCLUSION Compared with endotracheal intubation with intravenous muscle relaxant injection, laryngeal mask airway insertion without muscle relaxant could achieve an early extubation, and reduce the incidence of apnea during early recovery period in former prematurely born infants undergoing ROP surgery.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the feasibility and safety of laparoscopic radical resection of hilar cholangiocarcinoma at multiple centers in China. Methods: Between December 2015 and August 2019, the clinical data of 143 patients who underwent LRHC in Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College, Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University, Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University, Affiliated Tongji Hospital of Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Hunan Provincial People's Hospital, the First Hospital Affiliated to Army Medical University, Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital Affiliated to Medical College of Zhejiang University, West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University and the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University were collected prospectively. There were 92 males and 51 females with age of (64±11) years (range: 53 to 72 years). Bismuth type: type I, 38 cases (26.6%), type Ⅱ, 19 cases (13.3%), type Ⅲa, 15 cases (10.5%), type Ⅲb, 28 cases (19.6%) and type Ⅳ, 43 cases (30.0%). The patients within the first 10 operation cases in each operation time (the first 10 patients in each operation team) were divided into group A (77 cases), and the patients after 10 cases in each operation time were classified as group B (66 cases); the cases with more than 10 cases in the center were further divided into group A(1) (116 cases), and the center with less than 10 cases was set as group A(2) (27 cases). T test or Wilcoxon test was used to compare the measurement data between groups, and the chi square test or Fisher exact probability method was used to compare the counting data between groups. Kaplan Meier curve was used for survival analysis. Results: All patients successfully completed laparoscopic procedure. The mean operation time was (421.3±153.4) minutes (range: 159 to 770 minutes), and the intraoperative blood loss was 100 to 1 500 ml (median was 300 ml) .Recent post-operative complications contained bile leakage, abdominal bleeding, abdominal infection, gastrointestinal bleeding, and delay gastric emptying, pulmonary infection, liver failure, et al.The post-operative hospital stay was (15.9±9.2) days. The operation time in group B was relatively reduced ( (429.5±190.7)minutes vs. (492.3±173.1)minutes, t=2.063, P=0.041) and the blood loss (465 ml vs. 200 ml) was also reduced (Z=2.021, P=0.043) than that in group B. The incidence of postoperative biliary fistula and lung infection in patients in group A was significantly higher than that in group B (χ(2)=4.341, 0.007; P=0.037, 0.047) .Compared with group A(2), the operation time in group A(1) was relatively reduced( (416.3±176.5)minutes vs. (498.1±190.4)minutes, t=2.136, P=0.034) , the incidence of bile leakage and abdominal cavity infection in group A(1) was lower than that in group A(2) (χ(2)=7.537, 3.162; P=0.006, 0.046) . Kaplan Meier survival curve showed that the difference of short-term survival time between group A and group B was statistically significant (P<0.05) . Conclusions: The completion of laparoscopic hilar cholangiocarcinoma radical surgery is based on improved surgical skills, and proficiency in standardized operation procedures. It is feasible for laparoscopic radical resection of hilar cholangiocarcinoma to well experienced surgeon with cases be strictly screened, but it is not recommended for widespread promotion at this exploratory stage.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the association between maternal bisphenol A (BPA) exposure during pregnancy and neurobehavioral development in infant. Methods: Participants were from the Ma'anshan Birth Cohort, which was established from October 2008 to October 2010 based on four municipal medical and health institutions in Ma'anshan. High-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry was applied for the determination of serum BPA concentration in 1 783 pregnant women sampled at their first filing, and during 2.97 to 28.1 months age of the infants. Neurobehavioral development were assessed by 0-6-year-old pediatric examination table of neuropsychological development. Generalized linear model was used to analyze the association between serum BPA levels during pregnancy and infants' neurobehavioral development. Results: A total of 931 mother-child pairs had complete data on serum BPA detection during pregnancy and assessment of infants' neurobehavioral development status. The age of pregnant women at their first filing was (26.67±3.45) years old, and the M (P25,P75) of serum BPA concentration (ng/ml) was 0.23 (0.11, 0.52), with a detection rate of 84.1% (783/931). The age of infants was (13.18±5.46) months, and 53.5% (498) were boys. The developmental quotient scores of large motor, fine motor, adaptive ability, language ability and social behaviors of infants were (97.88±16.32), (97.16±15.35), (99.64±15.47), (95.3±16.04) and (98.95±14.76) points, respectively. Generalized linear model showed that after adjusting for factors such as delivery mode, feeding mode, family per capita monthly income, preterm delivery, gender, maternal age, residence, pre-pregnancy body mass index and residence time, serum BPA level in pregnancy was negatively associated with infant's development of social behavior [β (95%CI):-2.42 (-4.71, -0.12)]. The post-stratification analysis by infant age revealed that the serum BPA level in pregnancy was only negatively associated with the development of language and social behavior developmental quotient scores in infants between the ages of 12 and 18 months, with β (95%CI) about -6.66 (-13.06, -0.25) and -7.401 (-12.97, -1.83), respectively. Conclusion: BPA exposure during pregnancy affects language and social behavior development in infants, and the detection window is between 12 and 18 months old of the infant.

Abstract
Electrical burn is a special type of injury with complex injury mechanism, which is one of the difficult issues in the treatment of burn injuries. It not only seriously damages the tissue and organs of body, but also significantly affects the mental health of patients. Many patients with electrical burn simultaneously suffer physical and mental agonies causing increased difficulty in treatment and prolonging the time of recovery. Some of them may experience loss of ability to work or even death due to the mental disorders, despite successful patch-up of their physical injuries. Therefore in treating electrical burn, the psychotherapy and rehabilitation of patients should be closely monitored in addition to the reconstruction of their physical damage.

Abstract
Rice seedling blight, which is caused by diverse pathogenic microorganisms, occurs worldwide and is the most important seedling disease affecting rice production in Northeast China. To further characterize the population structure and genetic diversity of the fungi responsible for rice seedling blight in Northeast China, 225 fungal strains were isolated from diseased rice seedlings collected from various rice-producing areas. The isolated strains included Fusarium oxysporum (48.0%), F. verticillioides (11.6%), F. tricinctum (8.0%), F. redolens (6.7%), F. equiseti (6.2%), F. solani (6.2%), Rhizoctonia solani (6.7%), Alternaria alternata (4.0%), and Curvularia coatesiae (2.7%). F. oxysporum was the dominant fungal species causing rice seedling blight, with most isolates exhibiting moderate pathogenicity. Moreover, to our knowledge, this is the first study to identify A. alternata and C. coatesiae as causal agents of rice seedling blight in Northeast China. None of the F. oxysporum isolates were sensitive to 10 μg/ml of carbendazim, implying that carbendazim is ineffective for controlling rice seedling blight in Northeast China. The F. oxysporum isolates were divided into nine groups based on a simple sequence repeat analysis involving 14 primer pairs. In addition, an analysis of molecular variance revealed a significant correlation between the F. oxysporum population and geographical location, which had a significant effect on the differentiation of the dominant isolate population. The results of this study provide insights into the genetic diversity of F. oxysporum strains causing rice seedling blight and may be useful for selecting isolates to screen for disease-resistant rice varieties, evaluating fungicide efficacy, and developing effective disease management strategies.

Abstract
AIM The aims of this study were to identify races and mating types of Setosphaeria turcica causing northern corn leaf blight in Heilongjiang province of China and analyse the genetic diversity of S. turcica isolates using SSR markers. METHODS AND RESULTS Based on gene-for-gene interactions, 13 races of S. turcica (races 0, 1, 2, 3, 12, 13, 23, 123, N, 1N, 12N, 3N and 23N) were isolated from infected corn plants in Heilongjiang province. Races 0 and 1 were the predominant races, and race 23N was identified for the first time in the region. Using two pairs of specific primers, three mating types, 'a', 'Aa' and 'A', were identified, with 'a' being the predominant mating type. SSR markers were used to analyse genetic diversity of 60 S. turcica isolates. Five SSR primers were polymorphic, which resulted in 45 reproducible bands with 2-15 bands for each primer. Cluster analysis separated the isolates into five groups at a similarity coefficient of 0·84. Analysis of molecular variance showed that there was significant correlation between SSR groups and mating type of the isolates. No significant correlation was found between SSR groups and physiological races or geographical location of the isolates. CONCLUSIONS The work reported that races 0 and 1 were the predominant races, and race 23N was identified for the first time in Heilongjiang province with 'a' being the predominant mating type. There was significant correlation between SSR groups and mating type of S. turcica isolates. SIGNIFICANCE AND IMPACT OF THE STUDY Our results provide information on population structure and genetic diversity of S. turcica causing Northern corn leaf blight, which will facilitate the development of effective disease management programs.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the changes in natural killer cell subsets marked with CD27 and CD11b for HBV carrier mice. Methods: The pAAV-HBVl.2 plasmid was injected into the tail vein of C57BL/6 mice by hydrodynamic injection method to construct HBV-carrier model group and empty vector as the control group. Liver function and virological examination at different time points were used to judge the construction of HBV- plasmid carrier animal model. Flow cytometry was used to detect the frequency of NK cells and CD11b combined with CD27 NK cell subsets in spleen and liver. GraphPad Prism software was used for statistical analysis. Results: HBV-carrier mouse model was successfully constructed. There were no statistically significant difference in NK cell frequencies between spleen and liver of HBV carrier mice (P> 0.05), compared to control group. NK cells were divided into four subsets with in combination to CD27 and CD11b: CD11b(+)CD27(-)(CD11b(+)SP), CD11b(+)CD27(+)(DP), CD11b(-)CD27(+)(CD27(+)SP) and CD11b-CD27-(DN). Furthermore, the spleen of HBV-carrier mice had no statistically significant difference (P> 0.05) with the frequency of the four NK-cell subsets. The frequency of DN NK cell subsets was significantly increased in the liver of HBV carrier mice than control group (P< 0.001); however, the frequency of CD11b(+)SP cell subsets was significantly decreased (P < 0.05).There were no statistical significance in the frequency comparison between NK subgroups of DP and CD27(+)SP NK cell subsets (P> 0.05). Conclusion: HBV-carrier mice with abnormal distribution of hepatic NK cell subsets significantly increased and decreased the frequency of DN NK cell subsets and CD11b(+)SP cell subsets.

Abstract
Objective: To study serum zinc level in pregnancy and umbilical cord blood and their association with newborn birth weight. Methods: Pregnant women accepting obstetric examination in Ma'anshan Maternal and Child Care Center were recruited from May 2013 to September 2014. The follow up was conducted during their first, second and third trimesters of pregnancy and the self-designed questionnaire was used to collect information of social and demographic characteristics. Blood samples in the first, second pregnancy period and umbilical cord blood samples were collected and serum concentrations of zinc were assayed. 3 239 mother-infant entered the final analysis. We divided serum zinc level into low (<P(25)), medium (P(25)-P(75)) and high (>P(75)) groups according to their exposure concentrations at each trimesters. Non-conditional multivariate logistic regression model was conducted to evaluate the association between serum zinc level in first, second trimesters of pregnancy and umbilical cord blood with small for gestational age (SGA) and large for gestational age (LGA). Results: Serum zinc level in P(50) (P(25)-P(75)) during the first, second trimesters and cord blood were 1 016.18 (907.09-1 145.60), 813.36 (732.47-897.89) and 903.44 (808.71-1 015.64) μg/L, respectively. The prevalence of zinc deficiency during the first, second trimesters and cord blood were 1.5% (44/2 957), 15.9% (492/3 087) and 6.5% (176/2 707), respectively. The prevalence of total SGA and LGA were 9.7% (313/3 239) and 16.5% (536/3 239), respectively. Compared to high-level serum zinc group, the risk of SGA (OR (95%CI) in low-level serum zinc group during first trimesters was 1.51 (1.05-2.19)). Serum zinc level among second pregnancy period and umbilical cord blood had no statistically significant effect on SGA and LGA (both P values >0.05). Conclusion: Zinc nutritional status of pregnant women in Ma'anshan city was at a good level. The low serum zinc level in first trimester increased the risk of SGA.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the relationship between sialic-acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin 7 (Siglec-7) expressed on NK cells and hepatitis B virus-related cirrhosis. Methods: Peripheral venous blood samples were collected from 23 healthy controls and 31 patients with hepatitis B virus-related cirrhosis (Child-Pugh A, n = 7; Child-Pugh B, n = 12; Child-Pugh C, n = 12). Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) were obtained by using Ficoll-Hypaque density gradient centrifugation and the expression of Siglec-7 and NK cells phenotype and their subpopulations were detected by flow cytometry. Comparisons between various groups were performed using t -test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), and correlations between variables were analyzed using Pearson's-correlation coefficient. Results: (1) There was no significant difference in the percentage of NK cells and in their subpopulations with HBV-related cirrhosis and healthy controls. (2) Siglec-7 expression on NK cells in patients with HBV-related cirrhosis(62.44±13.45%)was significantly down-regulated than that to healthy controls(75.39±12.19%)while the frequency of Siglec-7(+) NK cells were negatively correlated with Child-Pugh score. (3) Subpopulation analysis showed that Siglec-7 expression on CD56(bright)CD16(-)NK cells(66.99±15.93%)was significantly lower than CD56(dim)CD16(+)NK cells(76.54±13.9%) in HBV-related cirrhosis. However, the expression of Siglec-7 in healthy controls showed no difference in these two NK cell subsets. (4) Phenotypic analysis showed that Siglec-7(+) NK cells express higher levels of activating receptor CD16, CD38, NKp46 and lower levels of inhibitory receptor CD158b. Indeed, the frequency of CD16 and CD38 on Siglec-7(+) NK cells in HBV-related cirrhosis was lower than that in healthy controls. Conclusion: The disease progression in patients with hepatitis B virus-related cirrhosis is associated to decreased frequencies of Siglec-7(+)NK cells.

Abstract
Chronic hepatitis C (CHC) has a prevalence rate of 0.43% in China and approximately 10 million chronically infected people are in urgent need of treatment. Since the beginning of 2013, pan-genotypic sofosbuvir (SOF) with its potent antiviral activity, minimal drug resistance, less drug-drug interactions and good safety has created a new era in HCV treatment. Its combination with ribavirin, in single tablet regimen with either ledipasvir or velpatasvir has been widely used in about 1.6 million patients worldwide. Furthermore, SOF-based therapy is proven to be effective and safe in serious or terminal illness such as decompensated cirrhosis, liver or kidney transplantation, HIV or HBV co-infections, bleeding disorders, intravenous drug users, adolescents, and elderly. Therefore, SOF-based regimens would fill the unmet medical needs of our patients with HCV.

Abstract
Objective:To analyze the characteristics of patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo which were spontaneously cured. Method: A total of 1 257 patients with chief complaint of positional vertigo were included and analyzed retrospectively, in which 921 cases were diagnosed as BPPV with the diagnosis standard of Guiyang meeting, and the other 336 cases were negative in the positional test diagnosed as BPPV-spontaneously cured. The age, gender and history course of the two groups were analyzed respectively.Result:①Among the 1 257 cases of BPPV, 336 (111 male and 225 female) were diagnosed as BPPV-spontaneously cured, with total self remission rate of 26.7%. And the female self remission rate is lower than men slightly(25.9% vs 28.5%).②The ratio of male to female was 1∶2 in patients with BPPV-spontaneously cured and 1∶2.3 in patients with BPPV. Patients of the two groups were mostly female, and there was no significant difference in gender distribution. ③There was no significant difference in age distribution between patients of BPPV-spontaneously cured and BPPV, and patients of >50-70 years old were common in both groups.④The history course of patients in BPPV-spontaneously cured and BPPV both were mostly within 2 weeks at their first visit to hospital, each accounting for 75.3% and 69.3%.But the ratio of patients with BPPV-spontaneously cured for 1-2 weeks was higher than that of the BPPV (20.5% vs 15.1%), and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion:Whether patients with BPPV can cure spontaneously is not related to age or gender, while women may have a tendency of lower self remission rate. The natural course of patients with BPPV-spontaneously cured is mostly within 2-4 weeks. The duration of natural course may be related to the type of semicircular canal involved.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the association between maternal bisphenol A exposure during early pregnancy and sleep problems among preschool children. Methods: Research subjects were from one of the sub-cohorts(Ma'anshan Cohort) of the China-Anhui Birth Cohort Study (C-ABCS) in Ma'anshan city. The basic situation of pregnant women and sleep information of preschool children were investigated. We selected preschool children whose mother's maternal serum bisphenol A concentrations of the first trimester had been already detected between December 2012 to Januray 2014. 1 259 pairs of mothers and children were included. The concentrations of bisphenol A exposure during early pregnancy were divided into low, medium and high exposure groups according to 25(th) percentile (P(25)) and 75(th) percentile (P(75)) levels. Multivariate multinomial logistic regression model was used to analyze the association between maternal bisphenol A exposure during early pregnancy and sleep-related problems in preschool children. Results: The P(50) (P(25)-P(75)) of serum bisphenol A exposure level during early pregnancy was 0.231 (0.106-0.512) ng/ml. The sleep-related problems scores of 1 259 preschool children were (16.43±3.82) points. The occasional sleep-related problems were detected about 47.8% (602 cases) and frequent sleep-related problems were detected about 18.3% (230 cases). After the adjustment of the confounding factors such as children's gender, age, BMI, sleep position (lying down, sleeping on one's back), the length of time to sleep and the length of sleep at night, in comparison with bisphenol A low exposure group, the OR (95%CI) value of preschool children with occasional sleep-related problems in maternal bisphenol A high exposure group during early pregnancy was 1.44 (1.01-2.06). After the gender stratification, the results showed that in comparison with bisphenol A low exposure group, the OR (95%CI) value of preschool girls with occasional sleep-related problems in maternal bisphenol A medium and high exposure group during early pregnancy were 1.61 (1.05-2.46) and 2.40 (1.42-4.04), respectively. The OR (95%CI) value of preschool girls with frequent sleep-related problems in maternal bisphenol A high exposure group during early pregnancy was 2.64 (1.34-5.17). However, in boys, there was no statistically significant association between maternal bisphenol A exposure during early pregnancy and sleep-related problems (P>0.05). Conclusion: Maternal bisphenol A exposure during early pregnancy might be related to sleep-related problems in preschool children.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the association between the internal exposure levels of phthalic acid esters (PAEs) and executive function (EF) of preschool children. Methods: Between October 2008 and October 2010, pregnant women who accepted pregnancy health care services in four municipal medical and health institutions in Ma'anshan city, Anhui Province, were recruited as study objects. A total of 5 084 pregnant women and 4 669 singleton live births were enrolled in this cohort. The follow-up study was conducted from April 2014 to April 2015. A total of 3 725 data-completed preschool children aged 3 to 6 years older entered in this study. The method of analysis seven metabolites of phthalates in urine was high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) and divided objects into low (P(0)-P(24)), medium (P(25)-P(74)) and high (P(75)-P(100)) groups according to their exposure concentrations. To investigate the executive function of preschool children, we used the Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function-Preschool Version (BRIEF-P). Univariate and multivariate statistical method was used to analyze the etiology association between the phthalate metabolites levels and preschool children's executive function. Results: In this study, 53.6% (1 997/3 725) of preschoolers were boys, children's age was (51.5±5.6) months. The detection rates of seven phthalate esters were: mono-n-methyl phthalate (MMP) was 99.89% (3 721/3 725); mono-ethyl phthalate (MEP) was 99.97% (3 724/3 725); mono-benzyl phthalate (MBzP) was 69.10% (2 574/3 725); mono-butyl phthalate (MBP), mono-(2-ethyl-5-oxohexyl) phthalate (MEOHP) and mono- (2-ethyl-5-hydroxyhexyl) phthalate (MEHHP) were 100.00% and mono-ethylhexyl phthalate (MEHP) was 99.95% (3 723/3 725). The median concentrations of the seven phthalate metabolites were: 17.71, 15.36, 0.07, 155.24, 10.73, 14.67, 3.59 µg/L, respectively. The median concentrations corrected by urinary creatinine were 29.65, 26.65, 0.12, 257.73, 17.94, 24.80, 6.27 µg/g Cr, respectively. The P(25) and P(7)5 concentration of the total PAEs metabolites corrected by urinary creatinine were 1.20 µmol/g Cr and 3.04 µmol/g Cr. After adjusted the relevant demographic information: children sex, children age in month, maternal age, parental education levels, household exposure to secondhand smoke and whether the child is the only child as confounds, multivariate logistic regression model showed that the risk of inhibitory self-control index (ISCI) dysplasia in MEHHP high concentration group and MEOHP high concentration group were 1.71 and 1.54 times (OR=1.71, 95% CI: 1.11-2.62; OR=1.54, 95% CI: 1.01-2.34) than in low concentration group. The risk of ISCI dysplasia in total PAEs metabolites high concentration group was 1.55 times (OR=1.55, 95% CI: 1.00-2.38) than in low concentration group. Conclusion: Phthalates exposure may damage the executive function of preschool children.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the influence of high-voltage electrical burns on the number of platelet aggregation, β-thromboglobulin (β-TG) and platelet factor 4 (PF-4) and the interventional effects of ulinastatin in rats with high-voltage electrical burns. Methods: A total of 240 Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into sham injury (SI) group, simple electrical burn (SEB) group, normal saline (NS) group, and ulinastatin (UTI) group according to the random number table, with 60 rats in each group. The electrical current was applied to the outside proximal part of left forelimb of rats and exited from the outside proximal part of right hind limb of rats. Rats in groups SEB, NS, and UTI were inflicted with high-voltage electrical burn wounds of 1 cm×1 cm at current entrances and exits, with the voltage regulator and experimental transformer. Rats in group SI were sham injured through connecting the same equipments without electricity. At 2 min post injury, rats in group NS were intraperitoneally injected with 2 mL/kg NS, and rats in group UTI were intraperitoneally injected with 2×10(4) U/kg UTI of 10 g/L. At 15 min before injury and 5 min, 1 h, 2 h, 4 h, 8 h post injury, 10 rats in each group were selected to collect 5-7 mL blood of heart respectively. Blood of 0.05 mL were collected to make fresh blood smear for observing the number of platelet aggregation, and serum were separated from the remaining blood to determine content of β-TG and PF-4 with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Data were processed with analysis of factorial design of variance, student-Newman-Keuls test, Kruskal-Wallis H test, Wilcoxon rank sum test, and Bonferroni correction. Results: (1) At 15 min before injury, the numbers of platelet aggregation of rats were close among groups SI, SEB, NS and UTI (5.9±1.2, 5.8±1.2, 5.9±1.3, 5.9±1.1, respectively, with P values above 0.05). At 5 min, 1 h, 2 h, 4 h, 8 h post injury, the numbers of platelet aggregation of rats in group SEB were 57.2±16.3, 59.1±16.9, 60.8±20.6, 83.6±24.9, and 83.4±30.3, respectively, obviously more than those in group SI (6.0±1.3, 6.0±1.4, 5.9±1.4, 5.7±1.1, and 5.8±1.3, respectively, with P values below 0.001); the numbers of platelet aggregation of rats in group UTI were 29.6±7.4, 31.9±10.1, 35.0±14.2, 43.0±13.6, and 35.2±11.1, respectively, obviously more than those in group NS (58.3±16.1, 63.9±18.0, 60.8±17.7, 74.2±23.0, and 82.3±21.9, respectively, with P values below 0.001). There was no significantly statistical difference in the number of platelet aggregation of rats in group SI between each two time points within the same group (with P values above 0.05), but the number of platelet aggregation of rats in the other 3 groups at each time point post injury was significantly more than that of the same group at 15 min before injury (with P values below 0.001). (2) At 2, 4, and 8 h post injury, β-TG content of serum of rats in group SEB was significantly higher than that in group SI (with Z values from -3.780 to -3.477, P values below 0.05). At 5 min and 4 h post injury, β-TG content of serum of rats in group UTI was significantly lower than that in group NS (with Z values respectively -3.477 and -3.780, P values below 0.05). There was no significantly statistical difference in β-TG content of serum of rats in group SI at all time points of the same group (χ(2)=0.130, P >0.05). At 2, 4, and 8 h post injury, β-TG content of serum of rats in group SEB was significantly higher than that of the same group at 15 min before injury (with Z values from -3.780 to -3.553, P values below 0.05). At 5 min, 1 h, and 4 h post injury, β-TG content of serum of rats in group NS was significantly higher than that of the same group at 15 min before injury (with Z values from -3.780 to -3.477, P values below 0.05). At 1 and 4 h post injury, β-TG content of serum of rats in group UTI was significantly higher than that of the same group at 15 min before injury (with Z values respectively -3.250 and -3.780, P values below 0.05). (3) At 2 and 8 h post injury, PF-4 content of serum of rats in group SEB was significantly higher than that in group SI (with P values below 0.05). At 2 h post injury, PF-4 content of serum of rats in group UTI was significantly higher than that in group NS (P<0.05), and at 4 and 8 h post injury, PF-4 content of serum of rats in group UTI was significantly lower than that in group NS (with P values below 0.05). At all time points, PF-4 content of serum of rats in group SI was close (with P values above 0.05). At 2 and 8 h post injury, PF-4 content of serum of rats in group SEB was significantly higher than that of the same group at 15 min before injury (with P values below 0.05). At 1, 4, and 8 h post injury, PF-4 content of serum of rats in group NS was significantly higher than that of the same group at 15 min before injury (with P values below 0.05). There were significantly statistical differences in PF-4 content of serum of rats between all time points except for 5 min post injury and 15 min before injury (with P values below 0.05). Conclusions: Increasing number of platelet aggregation and abnormal secretion of β-TG and PF-4 of rats with high-voltage electrical burns can lead to microcirculation disturbance. UTI can alleviate microcirculation disturbance caused by high-voltage electrical burns by reducing the number of platelet aggregation and inhibiting secretion of β-TG and PF-4.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the performance of the 5 Global Fund Malaria Programmes in China from 2003 to 2013. Methods: All of the proposals, summaries, progress reports, survey reports, Monitoring& Evaluation reports, and performance rating reports of the 5 Global Fund Malaria Programmes in China and the epidemic data of program areas were collected for statistical analysis from 2012 to 2014. Symposiums were held with relevant experts from national and provincial Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, program managers and staffs from national and provincial Global Fund Malaria Programme offices. The completion of the relevant programme indicators (including the general grant information such as program areas, beneficiaries and funding; the implementation of malaria control measures; the performance of malaria control measures; the malaria incidence in the program areas; the prevalence of malaria parasites; and program management and performance evaluation) were analyzed, and the results: of the symposiums were summarized. Results The implementation period of the 5 Global Fund Malaria Programs were as follows: Round 1 from 2003 to 2008, Round 5 from 2006 to 2010, Round 6 from 2007 to 2012, Round 10 from 2012 to 2013, and National Strategy Application (NSA) from 2010 to 2012. Under the support of all the Global Fund Malaria Programs, a total of 11 936 726 fever cases received microscopic tests, 1 485 915 confirmed and suspected malaria cases were treated, 1 579 773 Long Lasting Insecticide-treated Nets were distributed, 3 414 633 regular nets were treated by insecticide, 40 298 284 primary and middle school students received health education on malaria control. Compared with the baseline value, the completion rates of each indicator increased after the implementation of the programs. The growth value ranged from 12.83% to 83.11%, among which the biggest growth was the value of the indicator'Percentage of households with at least one LLIN/ITN in target areas', and it increased from 9.2% (baseline value of 2006) to 92.31% (value of 2012). The malaria incidence in program areas has dropped significantly year by year, the annual reported malaria incidence in Yunnan and Hainan provinces decreased from 1 950/100 000, 3 850/100 000 in 2002 to 3.31/100 000, 0.15/100 000 in 2012, the P. falciparum malaria incidence in target counties in Hainan province decreased from 90.6/100 000 in 2002 to 0/100 000 in 2012. As from the implementation of NSA grant in 2010 to 2012, the annual reported malaria incidence in 92% of the 75 Type 1 counties was less than 1 per 10 000, 60.00% of Type 1 counties and 98.69% of the 687 Type 2 counties reported zero locally transmitted malaria cases. The Global Fund Secretariat had conducted a total of 37 performance evaluations, of which 9 have been rated as A1, 4 rated as A2, 19 rated as B1 and 5 rated as B1. Conclusions: The Global Fund Malaria Program in China has been closely integrated with the goal and task of National Malaria Control Program, reducing malaria burden in target areas, and pushing Chinese malaria control efforts to move from control to elimination.

Abstract
Objective: To detect the expression of long noncoding RNA(lncRNA)stomach cancer-associated transcript-3(STCAT3) in gastric cancer tissues, adjacent tissues, human gastric cancer cell lines and normal gastric epithelial cell lines, and to investigate the relationship between STCAT3 expression and clinicopathological features and malignant phenotype of gastric cancer. Methods: Quantitative fluorescent real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was applied to detect the lncRNA STCAT3 expression levels in gastric cancer tissues, paired adjacent non-tumorous tissues, in order to explore the relationship between STCAT3 expression and clinicopathological features of gastric cancer. lncRNA STCAT3 low-expressing and high-expressing gastric cancer cell lines were transfected with expression plasmid to simulate gain-of-function, or interference plasmid to achieve loss-of-function. Cell proliferation was measured with CCK-8 and colony formation assay, cell migration with scratch assay, and cell invasion with Transwell migration assay. human gastric tumor were also transplanted to nude mice to detect the effect of lncRNA STCAT3 on tumorigenesis. Results: The expression of lncRNA STCAT3 was generally up-regulated in gastric cancer tissues compared with the adjacent tissues(12.55±0.16 vs 6.52±0.14), with median expression level in gastric cancer tissues being 6.03 higher (P<0.05). Meanwhile, the expression level of lncRNA STCAT3 in gastric cancer tissues was not correlated with age or gender (both P>0.05), while positively correlated with TNM stage (P<0.05). Interference of lncRNA STCAT3 expression in BGC-823 cells was found associated with significantly suppressed colony formation, proliferation, invasion, and migration (all P<0.05). Over-expression of lncRNA STCAT3 in AGS cells were also founded could promote the gastric cancer cells' proliferation, colony formation, migration, and invasion (all P<0.05). Conclusions: lncRNA STCAT3 may participate in the proliferation and invasion of gastric cancer cells, indicating that dysregulation of STCAT3 expression may play a role in occurrence and development of gastric cancer. lncRNA STCAT3 has the potential to be the biomarker of gastric cancer progression and target in treatment. The underlying mechanism is yet to be further studied.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate influences of high-voltage electrical burns on microcirculation perfusion on serosal surface of small intestine of rats and the interventional effects of pentoxifylline (PTX). Methods: Totally 180 SD rats were divided into sham injury group, simple electrical burn group, and treatment group according to the random number table, with 60 rats in each group. The electrical current was applied to the outside proximal part of left forelimb of rats and exited from the outside proximal part of right hind limb of rats. Rats in simple electrical burn group and treatment group were inflicted with high-voltage electrical burn wounds of 1cm×1cm at current entrances and exits, with the voltage regulator and experimental transformer. Rats in sham injury group were sham injured through connecting the same equipments without electricity. At 2 min post injury, rats in sham injury group and simple electrical burn group were intraperitoneally injected with 2 mL normal saline, and rats in treatment group were injected with 2 mL PTX injection (50 mg/mL). At 15 min before injury and 5 min, 1 h, 2 h, 4 h, and 8 h post injury, 10 rats in each group were selected to collect blood of heart respectively. Serum were separated from the blood to determine the level of soluble vascular cell adhesion molecule-1(sVCAM-1) with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay method. The number of adhesional leukocyte in mesenteric venule of rats was determined with Bradford variable projection microscope system. The microcirculation perfusion on serosal surface of small intestine of rats was detected with laser Doppler perfusion imager. Data were processed with analysis of variance of factorial design and LSD test. Results: (1) At 5 min, 1 h, 2 h, 4 h, 8 h post injury, the serum content of sVCAM-1 in rats of simple electrical burn group were (8 502±1 158), (11 793±3 310), (9 960±2 146), (9 708±1 429), (7 292±1 386) ng/mL respectively, higher than that in sham injury group and treatment group [ (1 897±946), (1 882±940), (1 882±938), (1 888±946), (1 884±942) ng/mL, and (6 840±1 558), (6 742±2 465), (5 625±2 593), (2 373±1 463), (5 187±2 797) ng/mL, respectively, with P values below 0.001]. The serum content of sVCAM-1 in rats of sham injury group and treatment group at all time points post injury, except 4 h post injury of treatment group, was higher than that of the same group at 15 min before injury (with P values below 0.001). (2) At all time points post injury, the number of adhesional leukocyte in mesenteric venule of rats in simple electrical burn group was higher than that in sham injury group and treatment group (with P values below 0.001). The number of adhesional leukocyte in mesenteric venule of rats in simple electrical burn group and treatment group at all time points post injury was higher than that of the same group at 15 min before injury (with P values below 0.001). (3) At all time points post injury, the microcirculation perfusion on serosal surface of small intestine of rats in simple electrical burn group was lower than that in sham injury group and treatment group (with P values below 0.001). The microcirculation perfusion on serosal surface of small intestine of rats in simple electrical burn group and treatment group at all time points post injury was lower than that of the same group at 15 min before injury (with P values below 0.001). Conclusions: High-voltage electrical burns can increase the serum content of sVCAM-1, the number of adhesional leukocyte in mesenteric venule, and reduce microcirculation perfusion on serosal surface of small intestine of rats. PTX can inhibit secretion of serum sVCAM-1, reduce the number of adhensional leukocyte in mesenteric venule to alleviate microcirculation disturbance caused by high-voltage electrical burns.

Abstract
This study was performed to investigate the effects of high-voltage electrical burns (HEB) on the pulmonary microcirculation in rabbits. Total of 120 rabbits were randomly divided into control and HEB group using a random number table. HEB model was developed with a voltage regulator and experimental transformer. Laser Doppler perfusion imager was utilized to monitor and quantify the blood perfusion in pulmonary microcirculation. The microvascular morphologic changes of the lung were observed using light microscopy and transmission electron microscope (TEM). The lung wet/dry weight ratio and the PaO2 were determined. The values of blood perfusion in rabbit pulmonary microcirculation in the HEB group were decreased at 5 min, but increased at 1 h after burn (P < 0.01) and then decreased gradually. Light microscopy reveals microthrombus formation in pulmonary venules and bleeding in venous capillaries in HEB group. We found the number of microvilli in the capillary endothelial cells decreased, the rough endoplasmic reticulum expanded and severe degranulation occurred, the mitochondrial cristae fused or disappeared, and severe edema surrounded the capillary endothelial cells by TEM. The values of lung wet/dry weight ratio were higher and the PaO2 were lower than that of before burn group (P < 0.01). These results demonstrated that microcirculatory disorders play a major role in the development of progressive lung damage after high-voltage electrical burns.

Abstract
In this paper, feasibility of coblation treatment for epiglottis neuroendocrine carcinoma is discussed. The eligible case is operated by plasma, and the recurrence of tumor isn't found during the follow-up period. Hence, neuroendocrine carcinoma which is discovered early and localized can be attempted to resect by this method. However, based on cautions consideration, it also needs to further research for the long-term effect of radiofrequency coblation treatment.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To investigate the effect and the mechanism of anti-tumor agent hydroxycamptothecin (HCPT) on HeLa cells in cervical cancer. MATERIALS AND METHODS Autophagy and apoptosis were detected by western blotting and the transfection of GFP-LC3 shRNA as well as Hoechst staining. RESULTS The authors found that the expression of the regulators of Beclin-1, p62, and microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 (LC3) upregulated and then triggered the occurrence of cell autophagy. On the other hand, HCPT could induce to the formation of autophagy and resulted in cell apoptosis after autophagy. CONCLUSION HCPT can alter cell autophagy and then trigger cell apoptosis to achieve antitumor effects.

Abstract
In our previous study, CARMA3 overexpression in lung cancer cells promoted cell proliferation and invasion; however, the mechanism underlying the role of CARMA3 in cancer cell invasion remained unclear. In the present study, knockdown of CARMA3 in A549 and H1299 cells suppressed cell invasion and migration, and downregulated matrix metalloprotease 9 expression at the protein and mRNA levels, as shown by Western blotting and real-time PCR. CARMA3 knockdown increased cell apoptosis, as shown by flow cytometry, increased the mRNA and protein expression levels of Bax and Caspase3, and downregulated Bcl-2 in A549 and H1299 cells. Phosphorylated P38 levels increased and NF-кB activation decreased following knockdown of CARMA3. SB203580, a P38 MAPK inhibitor, activated NF-кB, increased cell migration, and inhibited cell apoptosis after knockdown of CARMA3 compared to knockdown of CARMA3 without SB203580. These findings indicate that CARMA3 may suppress the activation of the P38 MAPK signaling pathway to regulate invasion, migration and apoptosis of lung cancer cells by activating NF-кB (P65) in the nucleus.

Abstract
Low temperatures are associated high-altitude treelines, but the functional mechanism of treeline formation remains controversial. The relative contributions of carbon limitation (source activity) and growth limitation (sink activity) require more tests across taxa and regions. We examined temporal variations of mobile carbon supply in different tissues of Abies fargesii across treeline ecotones on north- and south-facing slopes of the Qinling Mountains, China. Non-structural carbohydrate (NSC) concentrations in tissues along the altitudinal gradient on both slopes changed significantly in the early and late growing season, but not in the mid-growing season, indicating the season-dependent carbon supply status. Late in the growing season on both slopes, trees at the upper limits had the highest NSC concentrations and total soluble sugars and lowest starch concentrations compared to trees at the lower elevations. NSC concentrations tended to increase in needles and branches throughout the growing season with increasing elevation on both slopes, but declined in roots and stems. NSC concentrations across sampling dates also indicated increases in needles and branches, and decreases in roots and stem with increasing elevation. Overall altitudinal trends of NSC in A. fargesii revealed no depletion of mobile carbon reserves at upper elevation limits, suggesting limitation of sink activity dominates tree life across treeline ecotones in both north- and south-facing slopes. Carbon reserves in storage tissues (especially roots) in the late growing season might also play an important role in winter survival and early growth in spring at upper elevations on both slopes, which define the uppermost limit of A. fargesii.

Abstract
Our aim was to investigate the role of chemokines in promoting instability of
coronary atherosclerotic plaques and the underlying molecular mechanism. Coronary
angiography and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) were performed in 60 stable angina
pectoris (SAP) patients and 60 unstable angina pectoris (UAP) patients. The
chemotactic activity of monocytes in the 2 groups of patients was examined in
Transwell chambers. High-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), monocyte
chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1), regulated on activation in normal T-cell expressed
and secreted (RANTES), and fractalkine in serum were examined with ELISA kits, and
expression of MCP-1, RANTES, and fractalkine mRNA was examined with real-time PCR. In
the SAP group, 92 plaques were detected with IVUS. In the UAP group, 96 plaques were
detected with IVUS. The plaques in the UAP group were mainly lipid 51.04% (49/96) and
the plaques in the SAP group were mainly fibrous 52.17% (48/92). Compared with the
SAP group, the plaque burden and vascular remodeling index in the UAP group were
significantly greater than in the SAP group (P<0.01). Chemotactic activity and the
number of mobile monocytes in the UAP group were significantly greater than in the
SAP group (P<0.01). Concentrations of hs-CRP, MCP-1, RANTES, and fractalkine in
the serum of the UAP group were significantly higher than in the serum of the SAP
group (P<0.05 or P<0.01), and expression of MCP-1, RANTES, and fractalkine mRNA
was significantly higher than in the SAP group (P<0.05). MCP-1, RANTES, and
fractalkine probably promote instability of coronary atherosclerotic plaque.
