Abstract
Abstract
Introduction
Patient fall is very common in hospital. It is the biggest reason of hospitalization, morbidity and mortality. However there were few evidence on risk of fall. Thus, the aim of this study was to determine risk of fall and factor associated.
Method
A Cross-sectional study has been carried out from 3 January until 7 June 2019. A total number of 151 subject were recruited from selected medical ward. Data on Socio-demographic, medication, medical related history, vision and hearing impairment were collected. The outcome measures used were Hand Grip Strength, Timed Up and Go (TUG), and Berg Balance Score (BBS).
Result
There were significant difference between risk of fall with balance (p=0.00), right and left grip strengths (p=0.004&0.001), osteoarthritic Knee (p=0.006) and Functional reach (p=0.000).
Conclusion
The results show greater risk of fall associated with balance, grip strengths, osteoarthritic knee and Functional reach.

Abstract
Abstract
Introduction
Current world is going through an increase in ageing population with one in eight people in the world are aged 60 or over. By 2025, 15 % of Malaysia population will be aged above 60 years old. Physiotherapy playing a major role in facilitates healthy ageing process. However, compliance to physiotherapy session is still low among geriatric population.
A defaulter was defined as a patient who presented for less than 6 visits during the whole period.
Method
A Retrospective study will calling patient after patient did not turn up the physiotherapy appointment and interview was done on appointment with the doctor together. This study was conducted at Geriatric Clinic, Hospital Kuala Lumpur. Physiotherapy session records were tracked to get there number of defaulters in Physiotherapy Geriatric clinic during 2017 & 2018.
Result
Reasons for defaulting the therapy session was gained via phone call interview and during Geriatrician appointment. Total of 223 samples were tracked and interviewed in this study. The result reveals 73% of the patients defaulted in 2017 and 51% in 2018 respectively. Lack of facilities comprises 22% of factors for non-compliance. Meanwhile other factors such as human resource and functional capabilities contribute 14% and 19% respectively for patient’s non-compliance.
Conclusion
As conclusion, clinic need to take steps such as call to remind their appointment and provide proper home education to increase patient’s compliance. Together with in poor compliance which was successfully brought down by taking into consideration patient factors. This may be the best compromise until which time where special parking lots, improved transportation services or adequate skilled facilities in the periphery are made available to the patients.

Abstract
A study on the effect of war on the suicide rate in Jaffna town for the 10-year period from 1980 to 1989 is reported. There was a marked drop in the suicide rate during the war, notably among males and youth. An inverse relationship between suicide and homicide rates was shown in the overall trends, particularly in 1987. It is hypothesized that war may function as an alternate to suicide. The use of agrochemicals for suicidal purposes declined during war, while alary seeds became more popular. The method chosen may reflect availability and cultural popularity.

Abstract
Two cases of fetal renal vein thrombosis, diagnosed via maternal ultrasound scan are presented. One was associated with severe placental dysfunction and demonstrated haematuria and renal failure which resolved on day 10. The other followed an antepartum haemorrhage and resolved before the baby was born. The ultrasound showed, as transient findings, unilateral renal enlargement, thrombus protruding into the inferior vena cava, and mild fetal ascites. We suggest that fetal renal vein thrombosis may be more common than previously suspected, and warrants close monitoring of fetal well-being. Delivery should be considered if there is other evidence of fetal compromise, if the amount of peritoneal fluid suggests substantial haemorrhage, or if there is propagating thrombus in the inferior vena cava.

Abstract
The chromone triplet ([Formula: see text] in acetonitrile) is produced in quantitative yields upon 308- or 337.1-nm laser pulse excitation and is characterized by submicrosecond lifetimes in solutions at room temperature. The short-lived nature of the triplet is attributable to intrinsically fast T1 [Formula: see text] S0 intersystem crossing, nearly diffusion-limited self-quenching, and facile interactions with solvents in the form of charge and hydrogen-atom transfer. The unusually high self-quenching rate constants, (0.9–4.0) × 109 M−1 s−1, are related in a major part to the presence of the ene double bond at which the photocycloaddition of the triplet may occur; this is supported by large bimolecular rate constants [Formula: see text] observed for chromone triplet quenching by various alkene derivatives. Although, based on low-temperature photophysical behaviors, the lowest triplet state of chromone in polar solvents is expected to be of reduced n,π* character, the reactivity of the triplet toward hydrogen donors is very pronounced in acetonitrile (for example, [Formula: see text] for tri-n-butylstannane and 2-propanol, respectively). Carbon tetrachloride and benzene prove to be facile quenchers of chromone triplet; the quenching interactions probably involve charge transfer, the carbonyl triplet acting as a donor and an acceptor, respectively. The electrophilic role of chromone triplet in the quenching by benzene derivatives is supported by a good correlation between [Formula: see text] and quencher oxidation potential.

Abstract
The isolation and characterization of quercetin,
gallic acid, (+)-catechin, (-)-epicatechin, (-)-dicatechin, and (+)-leucocyanidin
gallate from the acetone extract of babul, Acacia Arabica, is reported. The
presence of (+)-dicatechin and (+)-leucocyanidin gallate was noted for the
first time in nature. Their structure was established on the basis of a number
of oxidative and degradative experiments.

Abstract
The isolation and purification of a
gallotannin from dhava, an indigenous leaf-tanning plant, is described. The
gallotannin from analysis and other degradative studies was found to be an
octa- or nonagalloylated glucose. The glucose core of the tannin is established
by hydrolysis experiments using alkali. Further, by methanolysis and other
reactions it was shown that the tannin contains a β-penta-O-galloylated glucose to which chains
containing at least three galloyl groups are attached.
