Abstract
Objective: To analyze serum bile acid profiles in pregnant women with normal pregnancy, intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) and asymptomatic hypercholanemia of pregnancy (AHP), and to evaluate the application value of serum bile acid profiles in the diagnosis of ICP and AHP. Methods: The clinical data of 122 pregnant women who underwent prenatal examination in Xuzhou Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from June 2022 to May 2023 were collected, including 54 cases of normal pregnancy group, 28 cases of ICP group and 40 cases of AHP group. Ultraperformance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry was used to measure the levels of 15 serum bile acids in each group, including cholic acid (CA), chenodeoxycholic acid (CDCA), deoxycholic acid (DCA), lithocholic acid (LCA), ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA), glycolcholic acid (GCA), glycochenodeoxycholic acid (GCDCA), glycodeoxycholic acid (GDCA), glycolithocholic acid (GLCA), glycoursodeoxycholic acid (GUDCA), taurocholic acid (TCA), taurochenodeoxycholic acid (TCDCA), taurodeoxycholic acid (TDCA), taurolithocholic acid (TLCA) and tauroursodeoxycholic acid (TUDCA). Principal component analysis (PCA) and orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) were used to screen differential bile acids. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to analyze the diagnostic efficacy of differential bile acids and combined indicators between groups. Results: (1) Compared with normal pregnancy group, the serum levels of LCA, GCA, GCDCA, GDCA, GLCA, UDCA, TCA, TCDCA, TDCA, TLCA, GUDCA and TUDCA in ICP group were significantly different (all P<0.05), while the levels of LCA, DCA, GCA, GCDCA, GDCA, GLCA, TCA, TCDCA, TDCA, TLCA, GUDCA and TUDCA in AHP group were significantly different (all P<0.05). Compared with ICP group, the serum levels of CDCA, DCA, UDCA, TDCA, GUDCA and TUDCA in AHP group were significantly different (all P<0.05). (2) In the OPLS-DA model, the differential bile acids between ICP group and AHP group were TUDCA, TCA, UDCA, GUDCA and GCA, and their variable importance in projection (VIP) were 1.489, 1.345, 1.344, 1.184 and 1.111, respectively. TCA, GCDCA, GCA, TDCA, GDCA and TCDCA were the differentially expressed bile acids between AHP group and normal pregnancy group, and their VIP values were 1.236, 1.229, 1.197, 1.145, 1.139 and 1.138, respectively. (3) ROC analysis showed that the area under the curve (AUC) of TUDCA, TCA, UDCA, GUDCA and GCA in the differential diagnosis of ICP and AHP was 0.860, and the sensitivity and specificity were 67.9% and 95.0%, respectively. The AUC of TCA, GCDCA, GCA, TDCA, GDCA and TCDCA in the diagnosis of AHP was 0.964, and the sensitivity and specificity were 95.0% and 93.1%, respectively. Conclusions: There are differences in serum bile acid profiles among normal pregnant women, ICP and AHP. The serum bile acid profiles of pregnant women have potential application value in the differential diagnosis of ICP and AHP and the diagnosis of AHP.

Abstract
To analyze the clinical features of patients with anterior hypopituitarism (HP) complicated with cirrhosis, and to explore the effects of growth hormone supplementation on liver and lung function. A total of 11 patients with HP complicated with cirrhosis admitted to Peking Union Medical College Hospital from January 2016 to December 2022 were included in the study, including 8 males and 3 females, aged [M(Q1, Q3)]31 (20, 37) years. There were 6 patients with pituitary stalk interruption syndrome, 4 patients after craniopharyngioma resection, and 1 patient after germinal cell tumor chemoradiotherapy. Cirrhosis appeared at [M(Q1, Q3)]7 (1, 16) years after the diagnosis of HP. There were 7 cases complicated with hepatopulmonary syndrome (HPS). The liver and lung function of 5 patients were improved significantly after the addition of growth hormone, and the arterial partial pressure of oxygen increased from (47±11) mmHg(1 mmHg=0.133 kPa) to (84±12) mmHg. Timely supplementation of growth hormone can improve the symptoms of fatty liver, cirrhosis and HPS, and postpone or even avoid the transplantation of liver and other organs.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the prevalence of occasional hypertension in preschool children in three provinces in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in China, and analyze the relationship between their sleep status and occasional hypertension. Methods: From October to November 2017, a total of 24 842 preschool children from 109 kindergartens in 11 cities in Hubei, Anhui and Jiangsu provinces were selected by intentional sampling method. A self-made questionnaire was used to collect basic information about the subjects, and the sleep status data was collected by the Children's Sleep Habits Questionnaire. Physical examinations were performed on the subjects, and height, weight and blood pressure were measured on-site. The difference in occasional hypertension detection rate among preschool children with different characteristics was compared, and the correlation between sleep status and occasional hypertension detection rate was analyzed by the multivariate logistic regression model. Results: The age of the subjects was (4.4±1.0) years, including 12 729 boys (51.2%). The prevalence of occasional hypertension was 31.8% (7 907/24 842). The prevalence of occasional hypertension among preschool children in three provinces of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River was 31.8%. There were statistically significant differences in the detection rate of occasional hypertension among preschool children of different genders, age groups, family residence, family economic status and parents' education level (all P values<0.05). The detection rate of occasional hypertension in children with less than 10 hours of sleep was higher than those with sufficient sleep, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that after adjusting for factors such as gender, age, family residence, family economic status, parental education level, parental smoking history, and physical constitution, the ORs (95%CI) for less than 10 hours of sleep, turning on the lights while sleeping, and poor sleep quality were 1.09 (1.03-1.15), 1.17 (1.07-1.28) and 1.04 (0.91-1.18), respectively, compared with the corresponding reference group. Conclusion: The detection rate of occasional hypertension is high in preschool children in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and there is a positive correlation between insufficient sleep and turning on the light when sleeping and occasional hypertension in preschool children.

Abstract
Background: Regulating the immune system is a crucial measure of gut microbiota (GM) that influences the development of diseases. The causal role of GM on Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and whether it can be mediated by immune cells is still unknown. Methods: We performed a two-step, two-sample Mendelian randomization study with an Inverse variance weighted (IVW) approach to investigate the causal role of GM on NSCLC and the mediation effect of immune cells between the association of GM and NSCLC. Results: MR analyses determined the protective effects of 6 genera on NSCLC (Bacteroides, Roseburia, Alistipes, Methanobrevibacter, Ruminococcus gauvreauii group, and Peptococcus). In addition, 38 immune cell traits were suggestively associated with NSCLC. Of note, the mediation MR illustrated the causal role of Genus-Peptococcus on NSCLC (Total effect IVW: OR = 0.790, 95% CI [0.657, 0.950], P = 0.012) was to a large proportion mediated by CD45 on HLA DR+ CD4+ in TBNK panel (-034 (95% CI [-0.070, -0.005]; P = 0.037), accounting for 14.4% of Total effect). Conclusion: The study suggested a causal relationship between GM and NSCLC, which may be mediated by immune cells.

Abstract
More and more clinical evidence confirms that hypopituitary dysfunction can lead to liver cirrhosis. The causes of hypopituitary dysfunction include sellarneoplastic diseases, hereditary diseases, perinatal adverse events, etc. Clinically, growth hormone deficiency (GHD) often the first cause in hypopituitary dysfunction.Hypopituitary dysfunction, especially GHD, can lead to liver cirrhosis, which in turn can result in damage to multiple organs such as the secondary lungs, spleen, and heart.Therefore, its clinical manifestations are complex, and the patients are first diagnosed in various departments.Reliable clinical observations have shown that GH replacement therapy at the early stage of the disease can effectively prevent and reverse the progression of cirrhosis, or even avoid inappropriate or unnecessary combined transplantation of liver or liver-related organs.Multidisciplinary collaboration and attention to the new findings that hypopituitary dysfunction can lead to liver cirrhosis will help to improve the accurate diagnosis and treatment of liver cirrhosis.

Abstract
Proton radiotherapy may be a compelling technical option for the treatment of breast cancer due to its unique physical property known as the "Bragg peak." This feature offers distinct advantages, promising superior dose conformity within the tumor area and reduced radiation exposure to surrounding healthy tissues, enhancing the potential for better treatment outcomes. However, proton therapy is accompanied by inherent challenges, primarily higher costs and limited accessibility when compared to well-developed photon irradiation. Thus, in clinical practice, it is important for radiation oncologists to carefully select patients before recommendation of proton therapy to ensure the transformation of dosimetric benefits into tangible clinical benefits. Yet, the optimal indications for proton therapy in breast cancer patients remain uncertain. While there is no widely recognized methodology for patient selection, numerous attempts have been made in this direction. In this review, we intended to present an inspiring summarization and discussion about the current practices and exploration on the approaches of this treatment decision-making process in terms of treatment-related side-effects, tumor control, and cost-efficiency, including the normal tissue complication probability (NTCP) model, the tumor control probability (TCP) model, genomic biomarkers, cost-effectiveness analyses (CEAs), and so on. Additionally, we conducted an evaluation of the eligibility criteria in ongoing randomized controlled trials and analyzed their reference value in patient selection. We evaluated the pros and cons of various potential patient selection approaches and proposed possible directions for further optimization and exploration. In summary, while proton therapy holds significant promise in breast cancer treatment, its integration into clinical practice calls for a thoughtful, evidence-driven strategy. By continuously refining the patient selection criteria, we can harness the full potential of proton radiotherapy while ensuring maximum benefit for breast cancer patients.

Abstract
Metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is the most common chronic liver disease worldwide, and the risk of all-cause and liver-related mortality significantly increases with the degree of fibrosis. Early diagnosis of MAFLD and its degree of liver fibrosis are of great significance, so it is particularly important to find an accurate and simple, non-invasive diagnostic method. In recent years, high-throughput omics technology has developed rapidly and played an important role in the non-invasive diagnosis and prediction of fibrosis degree in MAFLD. This article summarizes the application progress of genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, microbiomics, radiomics, and the combination of multi-omics for the diagnosis of MAFLD disease.

Abstract
Objective: To develop a risk prediction model for the recurrence of diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) in diabetic patients and primarily validate its predictive value. Methods: Meta-analysis combined with retrospective cohort study was conducted. The Chinese and English papers on risk factors related to DFU recurrence publicly published in China Biology Medicine disc, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Database, VIP Database, and PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science, and the search time was from the establishment date of each database until March 31st, 2022. The papers were screened and evaluated, the data were extracted, a meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.4.1 statistical software to screen risk factors for DFU recurrence, and Egger's linear regression was used to assess the publication bias of the study results. Risk factors for DFU recurrence mentioned in ≥3 studies and with statistically significant differences in the meta-analysis were selected as the independent variables to develop a logistic regression model for risk prediction of DFU recurrence. The medical records of 101 patients with DFU who met the inclusion criteria and were admitted to Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University from January 2019 to June 2022 were collected. There were 69 males and 32 females, aged (63±14) years. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve of the predictive performance of the above constructed predictive model for DFU recurrence was drawn, and the area under the ROC curve, maximum Youden index, and sensitivity and specificity at the point were calculated. Dataset including data of 8 risk factors for DFU recurrence and the DFU recurrence rates of 10 000 cases was simulated using RStudio software and a scatter plot was drawn to determine two probabilities for risk division of DFU recurrence. Using the β coefficients corresponding to 8 DFU recurrence risk factors ×10 and taking the integer as the score of coefficient weight of each risk factor, the total score was obtained by summing up, and the cutoff scores for risk level division were calculated based on the total score × two probabilities for risk division of DFU recurrence. Results: Finally, 20 papers were included, including 3 case-control studies and 17 cohort studies, with a total of 4 238 cases and DFU recurrence rate of 22.7% to 71.2%. Meta-analysis showed that glycosylated hemoglobin >7.5% and with plantar ulcer, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, diabetic peripheral vascular disease, smoking, osteomyelitis, history of amputation/toe amputation, and multidrug-resistant bacterial infection were risk factors for the recurrence of DFU (with odds ratios of 3.27, 3.66, 4.05, 3.94, 1.98, 7.17, 11.96, 3.61, 95% confidence intervals of 2.79-3.84, 2.06-6.50, 2.50-6.58, 2.65-5.84, 1.65-2.38, 2.29-22.47, 4.60-31.14, 3.13-4.17, respectively, P<0.05). There were no statistically significant differences in publication biases of diabetic peripheral neuropathy, diabetic peripheral vascular disease, glycosylated hemoglobin >7.5%, plantar ulcer, smoking, multidrug-resistant bacterial infection, or osteomyelitis (P>0.05), but there was a statistically significant difference in the publication bias of amputation/toe amputation (t=-30.39, P<0.05). The area under the ROC curve of the predictive model was 0.81 (with 95% confidence interval of 0.71-0.91) and the maximum Youden index was 0.59, at which the sensitivity was 72% and the specificity was 86%. Ultimately, 29.0% and 44.8% were identified respectively as the cutoff for dividing the probability of low risk and medium risk, and medium risk and high risk for DFU recurrence, while the corresponding total scores of low, medium, and high risks of DFU recurrence were <37, 37-57, and 58-118, respectively. Conclusions: Eight risk factors for DFU recurrence are screened through meta-analysis and the risk prediction model for DFU recurrence is developed, which has moderate predictive accuracy and can provide guidance for healthcare workers to take interventions for patient with DFU recurrence risk.

Abstract
Selection and measurement of clinical outcome are key components of clinical research in implant dentistry. Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine took the lead and collaborated with multiple internationally renowned colleges of stomatology to develop an international consensus on the core outcome set and measurement in implant dentistry, which took two years and was published in May, 2023 in Journal of Clinical Periodontology and Clinical Oral Implants Research simultaneously. The consensus, aiming at identifying the full spectrum of benefits and harms of interventions, provides a comprehensive, agreed, and standardized set of outcomes that should be measured and reported as a minimum in clinical trials relating with implant dentistry, bone augmentation, and soft tissue augmentation. The present review describes the methodology and key elements of the consensus to help Chinese clinical researchers fully understand and appropriately apply the core outcome set and improve the overall quality of Chinese clinical research in implant dentistry.

Abstract
Evidence suggests that the DNA of oral pathogens is detectable in the dilated aortic tissue of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), one of the most fatal cardiovascular diseases. However, the association between oral microbial homeostasis and aneurysm formation remains largely unknown. In this study, a cohort of individuals, including 53 AAA patients and 30 control participants (CTL), was recruited for salivary microbiota investigation by 16S rRNA gene sequencing and bioinformatics analysis. Salivary microbial diversity was decreased in AAA compared with CTL, and the microbial structures were significantly separated between the two groups. Additionally, significant taxonomic and functional changes in the salivary microbiota of AAA participants were observed. The genera Streptococcus and Gemella were remarkably enriched, while Selenomonas, Leptotrichia, Lautropia and Corynebacterium were significantly depleted in AAA. Co-occurrence network analysis showed decreased potential interactions among the differentially abundant microbial genera in AAA. A machine-learning model predicted AAA using the combination of 5 genera and 14 differentially enriched functional pathways, which could distinguish AAA from CTL with an area under the receiver-operating curve of 90.3 %. Finally, 16 genera were found to be significantly positively correlated with the morphological parameters of AAA. Our study is the first to show that AAA patients exhibit oral microbial dysbiosis, which has high predictive power for AAA, and the over-representation of specific salivary bacteria may be associated with AAA disease progression. Further studies are needed to better understand the function of putative oral bacteria in the etiopathogenesis of AAA. Importance Host microbial dysbiosis has recently been linked to AAA as a possible etiology. To our knowledge, studies of the oral microbiota and aneurysms remain scarce, although previous studies have indicated that the DNA of some oral pathogens is detectable in aneurysms by PCR method. We take this field one step further by investigating the oral microbiota composition of AAA patients against control participants via high-throughput sequencing technologies and unveiling the potential microbial biomarker associated with AAA formation. Our study will provide new insights into AAA etiology, treatment and prevention from a microecological perspective and highlight the effects of oral microbiota on vascular health.

Abstract
Uranium has both radiotoxicity and chemical toxicity. Low enriched uranium is mainly chemically toxic, the kidney is the target organ of uranium chemical toxicity. However, due to the differences among species and the mixed effects of chemical toxicity and radiotoxicity, the dose effect relationship of uranium is not clear, and the current standards in China do not provide chemical toxicity limits for uranium workplaces. This paper reviews the data of acute and chronic human uranium exposure, dose effect relationship and renal injury risk prediction literature at home and abroad, providing reference for the health protection of uranium workers and the establishment of chemical limits in uranium workplaces.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Fulminant hepatic failure (FHF) lacks efficient therapies notwithstanding increased comprehending of the inflammatory response and oxidative stress play crucial roles in the pathogenesis of this type of hepatic damage. Trilobatin (TLB), a naturally occurring food additive, is endowed with anti-inflammation and antioxidant properties. PURPOSE In current study, we evaluated the effect of TLB on FHF with a mouse model with d-galactosamine/lipopolysaccharide (GalN/LPS)-induced FHF and LPS-stimulated Kupffer cells (KCs) injury. METHODS Mice were randomly divided into seven groups: control group, TLB 40 mg/kg + control group, GalN/LPS group, TLB 10 mg/kg + GalN/LPS group, TLB 20 mg/kg + GalN/LPS group, TLB 40 mg/kg + GalN/LPS group, bifendate 150 mg/kg + GalN/LPS group. The mice were administered intragastrically TLB (10, 20 and 40 mg/kg) for 7 days (twice a day) prior to injection of GalN (700 mg/kg)/LPS (100 µg/kg). The KCs were pretreated with TLB (2.5, 5, 10 μM) for 2 h or its analogue (10 μM) or COX2 inhibitor (10 μM), and thereafter challenged by LPS (1 μg/ml) for 24 h. RESULTS TLB effectively rescued GalN/LPS-induced FHF. Furthermore, TLB inhibited TLR 4/NLRP3/pyroptosis pathway, and caspase 3-dependent apoptosis pathway, along with reducing excessive cellular and mitochondrial ROS generation and enhancing mitochondrial biogenesis. Intriguingly, TLB directly bound to COX2 as reflected by transcriptomics, molecular docking technique and surface plasmon resonance assay. Furthermore, TLB failed to attenuate LPS-induced inflammation and oxidative stress in KCs in the absence of COX2. CONCLUSION Our findings discover a novel pharmacological effect of TLB: protecting against FHF-induced pyroptosis and apoptosis through mediating ROS/TLR4/NLRP3 signaling pathway and reducing inflammation and oxidative stress. TLB may be a promising agent with outstanding safety profile to treat FHF.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The objective of this study is to explore the relationship between family communication, family violence, problematic internet use, anxiety, and depression and validate their potential mediating role. METHODS The study population consisted of Chinese adolescents aged 12 to 18 years, and a cross-sectional survey was conducted in 2022. Structural equation models were constructed using AMOS 25.0 software to examine the factors that influence adolescent anxiety and depression and the mediating effects of problematic internet use and family violence. RESULTS The results indicate that family communication was significantly and negatively related to family violence (β = -.494, p < 0.001), problematic internet use (β = -.056, p < .05), depression (β = -.076, p < .01), and anxiety (β = -.071, p < .05). And the finds also indicate that family violence mediated the relationships between family communication and depression (β = -.143, CI: -.198 -.080), and between family communication and anxiety (β = -.141; CI: -.198 -.074). Chain indirect effects between family communication and depression (β = -.051; CI: -.081 -.030) or anxiety (β = -.046; CI: -.080 -.043) via family violence and then through problematic internet use were also found in the present study. CONCLUSIONS In conclusion, positive family communication is crucial in reducing anxiety and depression in adolescents. Moreover, problematic internet use and family violence mediate the effects of positive family communication on anxiety and depression. Therefore, improving family communication and promoting interventions aimed at reducing family violence and problematic internet use can help reduce anxiety and depression in adolescents, thus promoting their healthy development.

Abstract
Adolescents are in a transition period from children to adults, during which they are prone to a variety of emotional disorders, with anxiety and depression being the most common disorders. Anxiety and depressive symptoms are highly correlated and the comorbidity of anxiety and depression is common. At the same time, the most prominent behavioral changes in adolescence are the emergence of getting up late and sleeping late, and the circadian rhythm begins to delay. Previous studies have shown that circadian rhythm is closely related to anxiety and depression, but the association between circadian rhythm disorder and comorbidity of anxiety and depression remains unclear. This article reviews the prevalence, association and potential biological mechanism of circadian rhythm disorder and comorbidity of anxiety and depression in adolescents, so as to provide a possible reference for the prevention and control of comorbidity of anxiety and depression in adolescents.

Abstract
AIMS Crosstalk between fibroblasts and cardiomyocytes (CMs) plays a critical role in cardiac remodelling during heart failure (HF); however, the underlying molecular mechanisms remain obscure. Recently, a secretory protein, Integrin beta-like 1 (ITGBL1) was revealed to have detrimental effects on several diseases, such as tumours, pulmonary fibrosis, and hepatic fibrosis; whereas the effect of ITGBL1 on HF is unclear. The purpose of this study was to evaluate its contribution to volume overload-induced remodelling. METHODS AND RESULTS In this study, we identified ITGBL1 was highly expressed in varied heart diseases and validated in our TAC mice model, especially in fibroblasts. To investigate the role of ITGBL1 in in vitro cell experiments, neonatal rat fibroblasts (NRCFs) and cardiomyocytes (NRCMs) were performed for further study. We found that in comparison to NRCMs, NRCFs expressed high levels of ITGBL1. Meanwhile, ITGBL1 was upregulated in NRCFs, but not in NRCMs following angiotensin-II (AngII) or phenylephrine stimulation. Furthermore, ITGBL1 overexpression promoted NRCFs activation, whereas knockdown of ITGBL1 alleviated NRCFs activation under AngII treatment. Moreover, NRCFs-secreted ITGBL1 could induce NRCMs hypertrophy. Mechanically, ITGBL1-NME/NM23 nucleoside diphosphate kinase 1 (NME1)-TGF-β-Smad2/3 and Wnt signalling pathways were identified to mediate NRCFs activation and NRCMs hypertrophy, respectively. Finally, the knockdown of ITGBL1 in mice subjected to transverse aortic constriction (TAC) surgery recapitulated the in vitro findings, demonstrating blunted cardiac fibrosis, hypertrophy, and improved cardiac function. CONCLUSIONS ITGBL1 is an important functional mediator between fibroblast-cardiomyocyte crosstalk and could be an effective target for cardiac remodelling in HF patients.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the association of different obesity measurement indexes on serum C-reactive protein (CRP) in Chinese adult women. Methods: The data were obtained from baseline and follow-up surveys of the urban Breast Cancer Screening Program in Shuangliu District, Chengdu. A total of 441 adult women were included in the study. A questionnaire survey, physical examination, and laboratory testing were conducted on the subjects. Multivariate logistic regression model, two-level mixed effects logistic regression model, and restricted cubic spline method were used to investigate the linear and nonlinear correlation between different obesity measurement indexes and serum CRP in adult women. Results: For every 1 unit increase in BMI, waist circumference (WC), and adiposity, the risk of elevated serum CRP or exacerbation of chronic low-grade inflammation in adult women increased by 16.5%, 5.0%, and 11.1% (P<0.05), respectively. Both BMI and adiposity were nonlinear correlated with serum CRP. Using BMI=24.0 kg/m2 as the reference point, serum CRP level increased with the increase of BMI when BMI >24.0 kg/m2. Using adiposity=30% as the reference point, serum CRP level increased with the increase of adiposity when adiposity >30%. Conclusions: Overall, obesity reflected by BMI had the strongest association with serum CRP in adult women, followed by body fat content reflected by adiposity, and central obesity reflected by WC had the weakest association with CRP. Adult women with BMI >24.0 kg/m2 or adiposity >30% are at high risk for obesity-related inflammatory manifestations.

Abstract
As a novel strategy, peracetic acid (PAA) based advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) are being used in micropollutant elimination due to their high oxidation and low toxicity. In this study, Co2Ca1Al1-LDO as a kind of layered double oxides (LDOs) was successfully synthesized, and it is the first time to apply Co2Ca1Al1-LDO for activating PAA. The Co2Ca1Al1-LDO/PAA system showed excellent removal efficiencies for various micropollutants with removal ratios ranging from 90.4% to 100% and k values from 0.087 min-1 to 0.298 min-1. In the degradation period, various reactive oxygen species (ROS) are involved in the system, while organic radicals (R-O•) with a high concentration of 5.52 × 10-13 M are the dominant ROS in the contaminants degradation process. Compared to other ROS, R-O• had the largest contribution ratio (more than 85%) to pollutant degradation. Further analysis demonstrated that C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6 and N11 concentrated on the aniline group of SMX are the main attack sites based on the density functional theory (DFT) results, which is consistent with the degradation products. The toxicity of contaminants was obviously reduced after removing in this system. Furthermore, Co2Ca1Al1-LDO showed good reusability and stability, and Co2Ca1Al1-LDO/PAA system had excellent removal ability in actual water bodies containing inorganic anions, showing good application potential. Importantly, this study explored the feasibility of applying LDO catalysts in PAA-based AOPs for micropollutants elimination, providing new insights for subsequent research.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the feasibility of laser speckle contrast imaging (LSCI) for monitoring urethral blood flow (UBF). MATERIALS AND METHODS In this study, 18 healthy, virgin female Sprague-Dawley rats aged 8-week-old were used. The animals were divided into the sham group (n = 9) and the vaginal distension (VD) group (n = 9). The sham group underwent one catheterization of the vagina without distension and the VD group underwent one VD. Following the VD or sham treatment for one week, LSCI assessment of urethral blood flow was performed during bladder filling and leak point pressure (LPP) process. RESULTS During the LPP process, in the VD group, the mean LPP was significantly lower than in the sham group (p < 0.05) and the mean UBF level was also significantly lower than in the sham group (p < 0.05) in the LPP condition. The mean relative change of UBF (Δ Flow) was significantly different between the sham group and VD group. The value was 0.646 ± 0.229 and 0.295 ± 0.19, respectively (p < 0.05). During the bladder filling process, the VD group had a significant lower mean UBF level than the sham group under full bladder conditions (p = 0.008). The mean ΔFlow was also significantly lower than in the sham group. The value was 0.115 ± 0.121 and 0.375 ± 0.127, respectively (p = 0.016). CONCLUSIONS The results confirmed that LSCI was able to determine UBF in female rats. The VD group had lower baseline UBF and lower increases in UBF during bladder filling and LPP process compared with the sham group.

Since other than tumor resection, there is no effective therapy for metastatic FH-deficient RCC, an accurate method for early diagnosis is needed. Although MRI or CT scans are offered, they cannot differentiate FH-deficient tumors from other RCCs. Therefore, finding noninvasive plasma biomarkers suitable for rapid diagnosis, screening and surveillance would improve clinical outcomes. Taking advantage of the robust metabolic rewiring that occurs in FH-deficient cells, we performed plasma metabolomics analysis and identified two tumor-derived metabolites, succinyl-adenosine and succinic-cysteine, as outstanding plasma biomarkers for early diagnosis (receiver operating characteristic area under curve (ROCAUC) = 0.98). These two molecules reliably reflected the FH mutation status and tumor mass. We further identified the enzymatic cooperativity by which these biomarkers are produced within the tumor microenvironment. Longitudinal monitoring of patients demonstrated that these circulating biomarkers can be used for reporting on treatment efficacy and identifying recurrent or metastatic tumors.

Abstract
Amino deoxysugars are abundant in nature and play an important role in various biological functions, promoting numerous efforts to synthesize their structurally unique motifs. In this report, a de novo approach from a readily available lactic acid derivative is devised to construct several amino deoxysugars embedded in natural products, featuring a novel nitroso-ene-type cyclization to introduce a nitrogen atom into the carbon framework. This efficient synthesis provides an unprecedented synthetic route to explore the nitroso-ene cyclization to accumulate intriguing amino deoxysugars.

Abstract
Objective: To summarize the genetic and clinical phenotypic characteristics of patients with early-onset myopathy, areflexia, respiratory distress and dysphagia (EMARDD) caused by multiple epidermal growth factor 10 (MEGF10) gene defect. Methods: The clinical data of 3 infants in 1 family with EMARDD caused by MEGF10 gene defect diagnosed in the Department of Neonatology, Xiamen Children's Hospital in April 2022 were analyzed retrospectively. Using "multiple epidermal growth factor 10" "myopathy" or "MEGF10" "myopathy" as the key words, and searching the relevant literature reports of CNKI, Wanfang Database and PubMed Database from the establishment of the database to September 2022. Combined with this family, the main clinical information and genotype characteristics of EMARDD patients caused by MEGF10 gene defect were summarized. Results: The proband, male, first infant of monozygotic twins, was admitted to hospital 7 days after birth "due to intermittent cyanosis with weak sucking". The infant had dysphagia accompanied with cyanosis of lips during feeding and crying after birth. Physical examination on admission revealed reduced muscle tone of the extremities, flexion of the second to fifth fingers of both hands with limited passive extension of proximal interphalangeal joints, and limited abduction of both hips. He was diagnosed as dysphagia of newborn, congenital dactyly. After admission, he was given limb and oral rehabilitation training, breathing gradually became stable and oral feeding fully allowed, and discharged along with improvement. The younger brother of the proband was admitted to the hospital at the same time, and his clinical manifestations, diagnosis and treatment process were the same as those of the proband. The elder brother of the proband died at the age of 8 months due to the delayed growth and development, severe malnutrition, hypotonia, single palmoclal crease and weak crying. A whole exon sequencing of the family was done, and found that the 3 children were all compound heterozygous variations at the same site of MEGF10 gene, with 2 splicing variants (c.218+1G>A, c.2362+1G>A), which came from the father and mother respectively, and the new variation was consistent with the autosomal recessive inheritance model. Three children were finally diagnosed as EMARDD caused by MEGF10 gene defect. There are 0 Chinese literature and 18 English literature that met the search conditions. Totally 17 families including 28 patients were reported. There were 31 EMARDD patients including 3 infants from this family. Among them, there were 13 males and 18 females. The reported age of onset ranged from 0 to 61 years. Except for 5 patients with incomplete clinical data, 26 patients were included in the analysis of phenotypic and genotypic characteristics. The clinical features were mainly dyspnea (25 cases), scoliosis (22 cases), feeding difficulties (21 cases), myasthenia (20 cases), and other features including areflexia (16 cases) and cleft palate or high palatal arch(15 cases). Muscle biopsy showed non-specific changes, with histological characteristics ranging from slight muscle fiber size variation to minicores change which was seen in all 5 patients with at least 1 missense mutation of allele. In addition, the adult onset was found in patients with at least 1 missense variant of MEGF10 gene. Conclusions: MEGF10 gene defect related EMARDD can occur in the neonatal period, and the main clinical features are muscle weakness, breathing and feeding difficulties. Patients with myopathy who have at least 1 missense mutation and muscle biopsy indicating minicores change may be relatively mild.

Abstract
Methimazole is the most commonly used medication for hyperthyroidism with good effects and little adverse reactions. However, improper selection of initial dose will affect the efficacy, such as excessive dose is proven to various adverse reactions; insufficient dose can hardly achieve desired efficacy. Based on the literature and personal clinical experience, the author discusses the following clinical issues related to methimazole in the treatment of hyperthyroidism, including the selection of initial dose, dose adjustment and withdrawal of methimazole, drug therapy for patients with liver function injury, and management strategies for methimazole-related adverse reactions.

Abstract
This study aims to investigate the effect of Astragali Radix-Curcumae Rhizoma(AC) combination on the proliferation, migration, and invasion of colon cancer HT-29 cells based on epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT). HT-29 cells were respectively treated with 0, 3, 6 and 12 g·kg~(-1) AC-containing serum for 48 h. The survival and growth of cells were measured by thiazole blue(MTT) colorimetry, and the proliferation, migration, and invasion of cells were detected by 5-ethynyl-2'-deoxyuridine(EdU) test and Transwell assay. Cell apoptosis was examined by flow cytometry. The BALB/c nude mouse model of subcutaneous colon cancer xenograft was established, and then model mice were classified into blank control group, 6 g·kg~(-1) AC group, and 12 g·kg~(-1) AC group. The tumor weight and volume of mice were recorded, and the histopathological morphology of the tumor was observed based on hematoxylin-eosin(HE) staining. The expression of apoptosis-associated proteins B-cell lymphoma-2-associated X protein(Bax), cysteine-aspartic acid protease-3(caspase-3), and cleaved caspase-3, and EMT-associated proteins E-cadherin, MMP9, MMP2 and vimentin in HT-29 cells and mouse tumor tissues after the treatment of AC was determined by Western blot. The results showed that cell survival rate and the number of cells at proliferation stage decreased compared with those in the blank control group. The number of migrating and invading cells reduced and the number of apoptotic cells increased in the administration groups compared with those in the blank control group. As for the in vivo experiment, compared with the blank control group, the administration groups had small tumors with low mass and shrinkage of cells and karyopycnosis in the tumor tissue, indicating that the AC combination may improve EMT. In addition, the expression of Bcl2 and E-cadherin increased and the expression of Bax, caspase-3, cleaved caspase-3, MMP9, MMP2, and vimentin decreased in HT-29 cells and tumor tissues in each administration group. In summary, the AC combination can significantly inhibit the proliferation, invasion, migration, and EMT of HT-29 cells in vivo and in vitro and promote the apoptosis of colon cancer cells.

Abstract
Cancer resistance to anti-tumour agents has been one of the serious challenges in different types of cancer treatment. Usually, an increase in the cell death markers can predict a higher rate of survival among patients diagnosed with cancer. By increasing the regulation of survival genes, cancer cells can display a higher resistance to therapy through the suppression of anti-tumour immunity and inhibition of cell death signalling pathways. Administration of certain adjuvants may be useful in order to increase the therapeutic efficiency of anti-cancer therapy through the stimulation of different cell death pathways. Several studies have demonstrated that metformin, an antidiabetic drug with anti-cancer properties, amplifies cell death mechanisms, especially apoptosis in a broad-spectrum of cancer cells. Stimulation of the immune system by metformin has been shown to play a key role in the induction of cell death. It seems that the induction or suppression of different cell death mechanisms has a pivotal role in either sensitization or resistance of cancer cells to therapy. This review explains the cellular and molecular mechanisms of cell death following anticancer therapy. Then, we discuss the modulatory roles of metformin on different cancer cell death pathways including apoptosis, mitotic catastrophe, senescence, autophagy, ferroptosis and pyroptosis.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the current situation of cell phone use and sleep quality among college students, establish a sleep quality trajectory model and explore the influence of cell phone use on the sleep quality trajectory. Methods: Based on data from the College Student Behavior and Health Cohort Study 2019-2020, a latent class growth modeling was used to establish a sleep quality trajectory model among college students. The baseline influencing factors of sleep quality trajectories among college students were analyzed by χ2 test, and the effects of cell phone use on sleep quality trajectories were analyzed by binary logistic regression. Results: A total of 1 092 college students were included in the analysis. The detection rates of cell phone use and poor sleep quality were 24.5% and 13.3%. Latent class growth model identified two groups of sleep quality trend trajactories: an improved sleep quality group (86.0%) and a decreased sleep quality group (14.0%). The result of binary logistic regression showed that the cell phone use was a risk factor of sleep quality trajectories. Conclusion: The cell phone use during college period could increase the risk of poor sleep quality. Targeted intervention measures about cell phone use should be adopted to improve the sleep quality among college students.

Abstract
BACKGROUND There are a few cases of lateral lymph node (LLN) metastasis (LLNM) of T1 rectal cancer. Moreover, LLNM is easily missed, especially in patients with early-stage rectal cancer. To our knowledge, the possibility of bilateral LLNM before surgery has not been reported in previous studies.
CASE SUMMARY A 36-year-old woman underwent endoscopic submucosal dissection at a local hospital owing to a clinical diagnosis of a rectal polyp. The pathology report showed a diagnosis of T1 rectal mucinous adenocarcinoma. She was considered to have bilateral LLNM after the examination at our hospital. Laparoscopic total mesorectal excision plus bilateral LLN dissection was performed and the pathological outcomes indicated unilateral LLNM. The patient received long-course adjuvant chemoradiotherapy with no recurrence or metastasis observed during the 1-year follow-up period.
CONCLUSION T1 rectal cancer could lead to LLNM and possibly, bilateral LLNM. Therefore, adequate clinical evaluation is essential for these patients.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To observe the efficacy of acupuncture on symptom burden in patients with gastric cancer during adjuvant chemotherapy after gastrectomy. METHODS A total of 58 patients were randomized into a high-dose acupuncture group (19 cases, 5 cases dropped off), a low-dose acupuncture group (20 cases, 6 cases dropped off) and a control group (19 cases, 2 cases dropped off). Conventional chemotherapy and antiemetic treatment were adopted in the control group. On the basis of the treatment in the control group, acupuncture was applied 7 times each chemotherapy cycle for totally 21 times in the high-dose acupuncture group, and 3 times each chemotherapy cycle for totally 9 times in the low-dose acupuncture group. Baihui (GV 20), Zusanli (ST 36), Neiguan (PC 6), etc. were selected in the two acupuncture groups, as well as back-shu points selected by the meridian heat sensing technique. Electroacupuncture was connected to ipsilateral Zusanli (ST 36) and Neiguan (PC 6), with continuous wave, 2 Hz in frequency for 20 min. The Edmonton symptom assessment system (ESAS) score was observed on day 1-7, 14, and 21 of each cycle of chemotherapy respectively in the 3 groups. RESULTS The symptom burden was worst within 7 days of each cycle of chemotherapy in the 3 groups. After the 3rd chemotherapy cycle, the total score of ESAS in the low-dose acupuncture group was lower than the control group (P<0.05), the total score and the scores of feeling of non-well being, pain and shortness of breath of ESAS in the acupuncture group (the high-dose acupuncture group combined with the low-dose acupuncture group) were lower than the control group (P<0.05). CONCLUSION Acupuncture shows promising effect in controlling symptom burden during adjuvant chemotherapy in gastric cancer patients after gastrectomy.

Abstract
The separation of ammonia from H2/N2/NH3 mixtures is an important step in ammonia decomposition for hydrogen production and ammonia synthesis from H2 and N2 based nonaqueous technologies. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are considered as potential materials for capturing ammonia. In the present work, high-throughput screening of 2932 Computation-Ready Experimental MOFs (CoRE MOFs) was carried out for ammonia capture from H2/N2/NH3 mixtures by Grand Canonical Monte Carlo (GCMC) simulations. It was found that the high-performing MOFs are characterized by tube-like channels, moderate LCD (largest cavity diameter) (4-7.5 Å), and high Q st 0(NH3) (the isosteric heat of NH3 adsorption) (>45 kJ/mol). MOFs with high NH3 adsorption capacity often feature moderate surface area, while the surface area of MOFs with high NH3 selectivity is relatively lower, which limits the NH3 adsorption capacity. Q st 0 and the Henry's constant (K H ) are two energy descriptors describing the interactions between adsorbents and adsorbates. The former has a stronger correlation with the adsorption selectivity, while the latter has a stronger correlation with the adsorption capacity. By analyzing the molecular density distribution of adsorbates in high-performing MOFs, it was found that unsaturated coordinated metal sites provide the main functional binding sites for NH3. Most MOFs with high NH3 selectivity have multiple different metal nodes or other atoms except C, O, and H, such as N and P. Multiple metal nodes and nonmetallic atoms provide more functional binding sites. Finally, the adsorption behavior with various concentrations of gas mixtures was examined to verify the universality of the screening calculations, and the effect of framework flexibility on adsorption performance was explored.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is involved in the occurrence, development and prognosis of cardiovascular diseases, especially acute myocardial infarction (AMI). In recent years, the trend of AMI at a younger age has gradually attracted people's attention. Relevant studies have confirmed that MetS affects the prognosis of people aged ≥45 with AMI. However, there is still a lack of research on MetS in people with premature myocardial infarction (PMI).
Purpose
To explore the impact of MetS and its components on clinical severity and long-term prognosis in PMI patients.
Methods
772 Patients with AMI who aged ≤45 years old from 2015 to 2020 in a hospital were enrolled. The patients were divided into MetS group (n=417) and non-MetS group (n=355) according to the criteria proposed by NCEP ATP III in 2005 (Any 3 of the following 5): 1) Hypertension: BP ≥130/85 mmHg or consistent hypertensive patients undergoing treatment; 2) Hypertriglyceridemia: fasting plasma triglyceride ≥1.7 mmol/L; 3) Fasting HDL-C <1.0 mmol/L in men and <1.3 mmol/L in women. 4) Hyperglycemia: fasting blood glucose level ≥6.1 mmol/L or known diabetic patients undergoing treatment; 5) Central obesity: BMI ≥28.0 kg/m2. Patients were followed for median of 42 months for major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE). The parameters of clinical severity were compared using logistic regression analysis. Cox regression were used to analyze the relationship between MetS and its components and prognosis.
Results
A total of 772 patients were included in the analysis. Hyperglycemia was associated with multi-vessel disease (OR=1.700, 95% CI 1.172–2.464, P=0.005) and Syntax score ≥33 (OR=2.736, 95% CI 1.241–6.032, P=0.013).Increased MACE were observed in the MetS group (17.9% vs 10.3%, P=0.004) after 42 months follow-up. The Kaplan-Meier curve also showed significant differences (P<0.001). MetS was an independent risk factor for MACE (HR=2.181, 95% CI 1.392–3.418, P=0.001). Of each component of the definition, BMI ≥28.0 kg/m2 (HR=2.047, 95% CI 1.229–3.410, P=0.006) and hyperglycemia (HR=2.911, 95% CI 1.850–4.580, P<0.001) were independent risk factors for MACE.
Conclusions
In patients with PMI, (1) hyperglycemia usually indicates more severe lesions; (2) MetS as a whole was an independent risk factor for MACE; (3) Of each component of the MetS, BMI ≥28.0 kg/m2 and hyperglycemia were associated with MACE.

Abstract
Background:
Chemotherapy modality is generally used for treating colorectal cancer. However, the clinical application of chemotherapeutic drugs may be limited due to their adverse effects to normal cells/tissues and the development of cancer resistance. Using the combined treatment of chemotherapy drugs and natural bioactive compounds (such as resveratrol) can alleviate adverse drug reactions and induce synergies between the drugs.
Objective:
In the current review, the potential therapeutic impacts of resveratrol during colorectal cancer chemotherapy were studied.
Method:
Based on the PRISMA guideline, we performed a systematic search on different electronic databases up to May 2021. Following the search, 321 papers were found and then screened for eligibility. Twenty-seven papers were finally included in the present study
Results:
Compared with the control group, the growth inhibition of cancerous cells treated with chemotherapeutic drugs was considerably higher and resveratrol co-administration synergistically increased chemotherapy-induced cytotoxicity. Moreover, reductions in the tumor weight, volume and growth of mice were observed following chemotherapy administration compared to the untreated groups, and these reductions were predominant in animals treated by resveratrol plus chemotherapy. Other findings showed that chemotherapy alone and in combination to resveratrol modulated the cell cycle profile of cancerous cells. Furthermore, chemotherapy treatment induced a set of biochemical and histopathological altretions in cancer cells/tissues, and these changes were synergized following resveratrol co-treatment (in most of the cases), excluding inflammatory mediators.
Conclusions:
In most cases, resveratrol co-administration could sensitize cancerous cells to chemotherapy drugs through its oxidant, apoptosis, anti-inflammatory activities, etc. Nevertheless, suggesting the use of resveratrol during chemotherapy of colorectal cancer patients requires further clinical studies.

Abstract
Anxiety and depression, as two emotional disorders with high incidence in children and adolescents, have become major public health issues for health and life safety. Anxiety and depression often exist in the form of comorbidities due to the common clinical manifestations, behavioral characteristics, genetic and environmental etiological mechanisms, which have short-term and long-term adverse health effects. This article summarizes the prevalence and characteristics of the comorbidity of anxiety and depression in children and adolescents, reviews the etiological models and influencing factors of the comorbidity of anxiety and depression, and reveals the underlying etiological mechanism, in order to provide a reference for the prevention and control of the comorbidity of anxiety and depression in children and adolescents.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the association of central motion conduction time (CMCT) with corticospinal tract lesions and its clinical application. Methods: Patients who completed transcranial magnetic stimulation-motor evoked potentials were included from Department of Neurology, Xuanwu Hospital between June 2020 and June 2021. The differences of CMCT values between corticospinal tract sign-positive group and tendon reflex-positive group and the relevant negative groups were compared. The consistency between increased CMCT values and the positive signs of corticospinal tract damage, as well as the significance of CMCT in different neurological diseases were further evaluated. Results: A total of 271 patients were included in the study, aged 12-86 (49±16) years, with 137 males (50.55%) and 134 females (49.45%). The CMCT values[M(Q1,Q3)]from Hoffmann's sign-positive group [9.52 (8.54, 10.99) ms vs 9.03 (8.30, 9.53) ms], Babinski's sign-positive group [19.54 (16.97, 24.43) ms vs 16.85(15.63, 18.55) ms] and tendon reflex-positive group [15.38 (9.27, 19.28) ms vs 10.49(8.79, 16.60) ms] were larger than those of relevant negative groups (all P<0.01). In the Babinski sign-positive group, 78.01%(181/232) of the patients had increased CMCT, while in the Hoffmann's sign-positive group, only 26.03%(19/73) of the patients had increased CMCT, indicating that the contribution of CMCT from the lower extremities to the assessment of corticospinal tract lesions was better than that of the upper extremities. With the increase of CMCT values in lower limbs, Babinski sign positive rate increased, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001). In nervous system diseases, the consistency between CMCT and pathological signs was 75.65% (205/271). Conclusions: The contribution of CMCT from the lower extremities to the assessment of corticospinal tract lesions is superior to that of upper limbs. The higher increase of CMCT values are more reliable for corticospinal tract damage. CMCT has a good concordance with corticospinal tract lesions in some neurological diseases, which can be used to assist clinical diagnosis.

Abstract
Ammonia, a versatile chemical that is distributed and traded widely, can be used as an energy storage medium. We carried out detailed analyses on the potential economic risks and benefits of using power-to-ammonia in three use pathways in the food, energy, and trade sectors, i.e., local sales, energy storage, and export under different levelized cost of ammonia (LCOA) scenarios. The base-case LCOA is lower than the market price, making local sales and export pathways profitable, and yet the energy storage pathway is at a loss unless ammonia-to-power efficiency is significantly improved. Four different combined use scenarios were also studied. Results show that under the base case LCOA and market assumptions, the combined use pathway leads to a loss of US$30 million. But a combined use pathway can become more profitable when there are higher predicted ammonia prices, larger export demand for low-carbon ammonia, and technology development. Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the morphological and histological changes in the urethra in beagle dogs after intraurethral Er:YAG laser irradiation in nonablative mode to confirm the safety of this therapy. Six 2-year-old healthy female virgin beagle dogs (13 ± 1.51 kg) were used in this study. The animals were divided into 2 groups: the sham group, which received sham treatment (n = 3) involving insertion of an intraurethral cannula and laser delivery handpiece into the urethra without laser irradiation, and the experimental group (n = 3), which received intraurethral Er:YAG laser irradiation. The laser irradiation parameters were set according to clinical criteria (4 mm spot size, 1.5 J/cm2, 1.4 Hz, and 4 pulses) in nonablative mode. All animals received three sequential sessions at 4-week intervals. Urethrography and urethroscopy were performed in the 12th week and 13th week, respectively, after the first treatment. After urethroscopy, the animals were sacrificed, and urethral tissue was harvested for histological investigations. All procedures were performed under general anesthesia (40 mg/kg 3% sodium pentobarbital, i.v.). Transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1) and α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) expression levels were measured to evaluate the biochemical characteristics of the scar. Urethral stricture was not found by urethrography or urethroscopy in either group. Urethral epithelium thickness and collagen expression under the urethral mucosa were significantly increased in the experimental group compared with the sham group. However, there were no significant differences in TGF-β1 and α-SMA expression between the experimental group and sham group (p > 0.05). Urethral stricture is not found in beagle dogs after clinically relevant intraurethral nonablative mode Er:YAG laser irradiation. Proliferation of urethral collagen and the urethral mucosa may be one of the mechanisms by which urine leakage symptoms can be improved.

Abstract
Objective To investigate the application of impaction bone grafting (IBG) combined with Ti‐alloy mesh for acetabular bone defect reconstruction in total hip arthroplasty (THA) revision and follow up the clinical outcomes and imaging findings. Methods The clinical and imaging data of patients who were admitted to our hospital from January 2000 to December 2020 and underwent acetabular bone defects reconstruction using IBG combined with titanium mesh were retrospectively analyzed. Preoperative and post‐revision Oxford and Harris scores, and post‐revision complications were evaluated. Radiographs were used to determine center of rotation (COR) of the hip joint, transparency line, bone graft fusion, and bone mineral density (BMD) around the hip joint. Results Significant improvement was observed in both Oxford and Harris scores (P < 0.05). The radiographs taken at the last follow‐up examination showed no significant differences in the acetabulum COR, offsets, inclination angle, mean ratio of vertical value, and BMD analysis between the post‐revision side and contralateral side (P > 0.05). The follow‐up data showed restoration of the mesh implant and graft bone fusion. Conclusions The application of IBG combined with titanium‐alloy mesh in revision THA patients with acetabular defects was found to provide satisfactory outcomes. However, large‐scale studies are still needed to further elucidate the long‐term outcomes.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the clinical features and spinal lesions related to micturitionin of chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome(CP/CPPS) patients. Methods: Patients with CP/CPPS were enrolled to this study at the outpatient department of Tongji Hospital between January and June 2019. The data of clinical features was collected and analyzed, including lower urinary tract symptoms(LUTS), bowel syndrome and pain over different parts of body, as well as lower urinary tract dysfunction, spinal lesions and pelvic organ morphological changes demonstrated by MRI. The potential role of spinal lesions in the development of CP/CPPS syndrome was investigated. Results: A total of 126 CP/CPPS patients were included, with an age[M(Q1,Q3)]of 41(31,53) years and a course of disease of 2(1,20) years. Among them, 126 (100.0%) were complicated with LUTS, 72(57.1%) with bowel dysfunction and 88(69.8%) with pain. MRI showed the cervical central disc herniation(126 cases, 100.0%), the ischemic changing in the cervical area of visceral efferant pathway(82 cases, 65.1%), the lumbar central disc herniation(65 cases, 51.6%), and the sacral nerve cysts(97 cases, 77.0%) are commonly seen. In addition, the morphological changes in the visceral organs containing smooth muscle were demonstrated, including thickened bladder wall(91 cases, 72.2%), distended seminal vesicles(70 cases, 55.6%) and distended sigmoid colon/rectum(59 cases, 46.8%). Conclusions: CP/CPPS patients were characterized by the co-existence of LUTS, bowel dysfunction and somatic pain in one individual. The presence of multi-organ symptoms, combined with the high prevalence of spinal lesions associated with micturition reflex, suggesting the potential role of the spinal lesions in the development of CP/CPPS.

Abstract
Targeted and effective drug delivery to central nervous system (CNS) lesions is a major challenge in the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS). Extracellular vesicles (EVs) have great promise as a drug delivery nanosystem given their unique characteristics, including a strong cargo-loading capacity, low immunogenicity, high biocompatibility, inherent stability, high delivery efficiency, ease of manipulation, and blood-brain barrier (BBB) penetration. Clinical applications are, however, limited by their insufficient targeting capability and "dilution effects" upon systemic administration. Neural stem cells (NSCs) provide an abundant source of EVs because of their remarkable capacity for self-renewal. Here, we developed a novel therapeutic strategy for local delivery and treatment using EVPs, which are derived from NSCs with the expression of the CNS lesion targeting ligand-PDGFRα. Furthermore, we used EVPs as a targeting carrier for encapsulating Bryostatin-1 (Bryo-1), a natural compound with remarkable anti-inflammation ability. Our data showed that Bryo-1 delivered by EVPs was more stable and concentrated in the CNS than native Bryo-1. Systemic injection of a low dosage (1 × 108 particles) of EVPs + Bryo-1, versus only EVPs or Bryo-1 administration, significantly ameliorated clinical disease development, decreased the infiltration of pro-inflammatory cells, blocked myelin loss and astrogliosis, protected BBB integrity, and altered microglia pro-inflammatory phenotype in the CNS of EAE mice. Taken as a whole, our study showed that engineered EVs have a CNS targeting capacity, and it provides potentially powerful therapeutic effects for the treatment of various neuroinflammatory diseases.

Abstract
CONTEXT Patients with gastric cancer experience health-related quality of life (HRQOL) decline during adjuvant chemotherapy following gastrectomy. OBJECTIVES This pilot study aimed to evaluate the preliminary effect and feasibility of electro-acupuncture (EA) for HRQOL and symptom burden in these patients. METHODS In this open-label, multicenter, parallel controlled trial, gastric cancer patients who planned to receive adjuvant chemotherapy were randomly assigned to receive high-dose EA (seven times each chemotherapy cycle for three cycles), low-dose EA (three times each chemotherapy cycle), or usual care only. The acupoints prescription consisted of bilateral ST36, PC6, SP4, and DU20, EX-HN3, and selected Back-shu points. Patients completed the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Gastric (FACT-Ga) weekly, and the Edmonton Symptom Assessment System (ESAS). The primary outcome was the difference among the groups on the gastric cancer subscale (GaCS) of the FACT-Ga. RESULTS Of the 66 randomized patients, 58 were analyzed according to intention-to-treat principle, and 45 were in the per-protocol set (PPS). The average scores in PPS of GaCS were 52.12±9.71, 51.85±12.36, and 45.37±8.61 in high-dose EA, low-dose EA, and control groups, respectively. EA was significantly associated with improved average GaCS scores when compared with control group (51.98±10.91 vs. 45.37±8.61, P = 0.039). EA treatment also produced ESAS relief at the end of intervention (14.36 ± 12.28 vs. 23.91 ± 15.52, P = 0.027). Participants in EA groups had fewer grade ≥3 leukopenia (0% vs. 15.79%, P = 0.031) and neutropenia (2.56% vs. 26.31%, P = 0.012). CONCLUSION EA showed promising effects in improving HRQOL, controlling symptom burden, and reducing toxicity during adjuvant chemotherapy in gastric cancer patients. Future adequately powered trials are feasible and needed to confirm the specific effect of EA.

Abstract
The paradox of obesity and metabolically healthy obesity are being challenged. More and more studies have disputed the potential mechanism and prognostic value of metabolically healthy obesity. The study of metabolically healthy obesity is helpful to clarify the potential causes of obesity paradox and the potential mechanism of different degrees of obesity harm to the population. From the perspective of evidence-based medicine, combined with the relevant literature at home and abroad, this study reviewed the new understanding of metabolically healthy obesity, lifestyle factors, the impact of fat factors on metabolically healthy obesity, and the new opportunities of metabolically healthy obesity research, in order to explore whether metabolically healthy obesity can maintain and gradually reduce weight for a long time, so as to improve cardiovascular disease In order to achieve the purpose of primary prevention of related diseases.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE SIRT3 may act as a brain-protective factor. We measured the plasma SIRT3 levels of patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) and further determined the relationship between plasma SIRT3 and clinical outcome plus severity of ICH. METHODS In this prospective cohort study, we quantified plasma SIRT3 levels in 105 ICH patients and 72 healthy controls. Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score and hematoma volume were used to assess severity. Poor prognosis was defined as a Glasgow Outcome Scale (GOS) score of 1-3 at 90 days after ICH. RESULTS Plasma SIRT3 levels were markedly lower in patients than in controls (median, 10.19 versus 13.17 ng/mL; P<0.001). Among all patients, plasma SIRT3 levels were independently correlated with hematoma volume (beta, -0.098; 95% confidence interval, -0.158--0.039; t, -3.282; P=0.001) and GCS score (beta, 0.465; 95% confidence interval, 0.107-0.823; t, 2.576; P=0.011). A total of 46 cases had a poor prognosis at post-stroke 90 days. The plasma levels of SIRT3 significantly decreased in patients with a poor prognosis, compared with those with a good prognosis (median, 6.1 versus 11.2 ng/mL; P<0.001). Plasma SIRT3 was an independent predictor for 90-day poor prognosis of patients (odds ratio, 0.837; 95% confidence interval, 0.708-0.990; P=0.038). Plasma SIRT3 levels distinguished the development of poor prognosis with area under receiver operating characteristic curve at 0.801 (95% confidence interval, 0.711-0.872) and plasma SIRT3 levels ≤7.38 ng/mL predicted poor prognosis with 63.04% sensitivity and 93.22% specificity. CONCLUSION Declined plasma SIRT3 levels are highly associated with hemorrhagic severity and poor 90-day outcome, thus suggesting that plasma SIRT3 may serve as a potential prognostic biomarker for ICH.

Abstract
Demyelination is a critical neurological disease, and there is still a lack of effective treatment methods. In the past two decades, stem cells have emerged as a novel therapeutic effector for neural regeneration. However, owing to the existence of the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and the complex microenvironment, targeted therapy still faces multiple challenges. Targeted exosome carriers for drug delivery may be considered a promising therapeutic method. Exosomes were isolated from mice neural stem cells. To develop targeting exosomes, we generated a lentivirus armed PDGFRα ligand that could anchor the membrane. Exosome targeting tests were carried out in vitro and in vivo. The modified exosomes showed an apparent ability to target OPCs in the lesion area. Next, the exosomes were loaded with Bryostatin-1 (Bryo), and the cuprizone-fed mice were administered with the targeting exosomes. The data show that Bryo exhibits a powerful therapeutic effect compared with Bryo alone after exosome encapsulation. Specifically, this novel exosome-based targeting delivery of Bryo significantly improves the protection ability of the myelin sheath and promotes remyelination. Moreover, it blocks astrogliosis and axon damage, and also has an inhibitory effect on pro-inflammatory microglia. The results of this investigation provide a straightforward strategy to produce targeting exosomes and indicate a potential therapeutic approach for demyelinating disease.

Abstract
In recent years, tissue engineering has emerged as a promising approach to address limitations of organ transplantation. The ultimate goal of tissue engineering is to provide scaffolds that closely mimic the physicochemical and biological cues of native tissues' extracellular matrix. In this endeavor, new generation of scaffolds have been designed that utilize the incorporation of signaling molecules in order to improve cell recruitment, enhance angiogenesis, exert healing activities, and increase the engraftment of the scaffolds. Among different signaling molecules, the role of erythropoietin (EPO) in regenerative medicine is increasingly being appreciated. It is a biological macromolecule which can prevent programed cell death, modulate inflammation, induce cell proliferation, and provide tissue protection in different disease models. In this review, we have outlined and critically analyzed different techniques of scaffolds' modification with EPO or EPO-loaded nanoparticles. We have also explored different strategies for the incorporation of EPO into scaffolds. Non-hematopoietic functions of EPO have also been discussed. Finalizing with detailed discussion surrounding the applications, challenges, and future perspectives of EPO-modified scaffolds in regenerative medicine.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical epidemiological characteristics of children with pertussis and the infection of their close contacts. Methods: The clinical data of children with pertussis and the etiological detection results of close contacts in Shenzhen Children's Hospital from 2015 to 2018 were collected and descriptive epidemiological analysis was carried out. Results: The cases of pertussis from 2015 to 2018 were reported as 504, 425, 796 and 991 respectively, with a total of 2 716 cases. The most cases was in May in 2015 (72 cases), in August in 2016 and 2018 (68 cases and 144 cases), and in July in 2017 (115 cases). A total of 1 517 male and 1 199 female children were reported from 2015 to 2018, the ratio of male-to-female was 1.3∶1. The proportion of children under 1 year old was 79.7% (2 165/2 716), of which 74.4% (1 610/2 165) was less than 6 months old. Among the reported cases, 1 605 (59.1%) were treated as outpatients, aged M(Q1,Q3) 5 (3, 11) months, and 1 111 (40.9%) were hospitalized, aged 4 (2, 7) months. There were 876 outpatients (54.4%) and 734 inpatients (45.6%) under 6 months of age, 575 outpatients (63.5%) and 331 inpatients (36.5%) between 6 months and 2 years of age, and 154 outpatients (77.0%) and 46 inpatients (23.0%) with above 2 years old, respectively. There were statistically significant differences between the two treatment methods in different age groups (P<0.001). The average hospitalization time of inpatients under 6 months of age was (8.5±3.9) days, that of inpatients between 6 months and 2 years of age was (7.1±3.7) days, and that of inpatients above 2 years old was (6.8±3.3) days. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.001). The etiological test results of pertussis were collected from 617 close contacts of 270 reported cases, the positive detection rate of mothers was the highest (34.9%). Conclusions: From 2015 to 2018, the number of reported cases of pertussis in our hospital fluctuated and increased year by year, with high incidence in summer, mainly in children under 1 year old, and more males than females. Outpatient treatment was more than inpatient treatment, its age was obviously older than the latter. The younger the children, the higher the proportion of hospitalization, and with the increase of the age, the hospitalization time was obviously shortened. Among the close family contacts, the mother might be the main source of pertussis infection in children.

Abstract
The lack of targeted and high-efficiency drug delivery to the central nervous system (CNS) nidus is the main problem in the treatment of demyelinating disease. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) possess great promise as a drug delivery vector given their advanced features. However, clinical applications are limited because of their inadequate targeting ability and the “dilution effects” after systemic administration. Neural stem cells (NSCs) supply a plentiful source of EVs on account of their extraordinary capacity for self-renewal. Here, we have developed a novel therapeutic system using EVs from modified NSCs with high expressed ligand PDGF-A (EVPs) and achieve local delivery. It has been demonstrated that EVPs greatly enhance the target capability on oligodendrocyte lineage. Moreover, EVPs are used for embedding triiodothyronine (T3), a thyroid hormone that is critical for oligodendrocyte development but has serious side effects when systemically administered. Our results demonstrated that systemic injection of EVPs + T3, versus EVPs or T3 administration individually, markedly alleviated disease development, enhanced oligodendrocyte survival, inhibited myelin damage, and promoted myelin regeneration in the lesions of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis mice. Taken together, our findings showed that engineered EVPs possess a remarkable CNS lesion targeting potential that offers a potent therapeutic strategy for CNS demyelinating diseases as well as neuroinflammation. NSC-derived EV-PDGFA dramatically increased targeting efficiency to the lineage of OLGs and the demyelinated area in the CNS. EVPs-T3 exert the therapeutic ability in the lesion suppressed the disease development and protected myelin loss. EVPs-T3 increased numbers of OLGs in the lesion and TEM data evidenced that EVPs-T3 promotes myelin regeneration in vivo.

Abstract
Adolescence is not only an important stage of growth and development, but also a critical period for the formation of social and psychological cognition. The increasing incidence rate of depression in adolescents has caused serious global burden of disease. Allostatic load is a comprehensive index including multiple physiological system disorders. In the key stage of brain development, allostatic load plays an important role in the occurrence and development of mental diseases. This paper summarized the evaluation methods and prevalence of adolescent allostatic load, reviewed the relationship between allostatic load and adolescent depression, and revealed the possible physiological and neurobiological mechanisms, in order to provide scientific basis for prevention and control of adolescent depression.

Abstract
High-entropy alloys (HEAs) have been reported to have superior ability in hydrogen (H) storage and strong resistance to H embrittlement. These exceptional properties are directly related to the H solution in the HEAs. However, the diversity of atomic environments in the HEAs complicate the calculation of the H solution energy. With regard to this, we clarified an origin causing the variety of solution energy from the viewpoint of chemical and elastic interactions of H with the host atoms. Combining the semi-empirical atom potential and first-principles calculations regarding H in FeCrCoNi, NbMoTaW, and FeCuCrMnMo, we found that the elastic interaction presents a visibly linear relationship with the volume expansion caused by H insertion. By contrast, the chemical interaction shows a non-linear relationship with the volume of the interstitial polyhedron. A universal model was then established to generalize the solution energy of H. This model can expeditiously assess the H distribution and provide insight into evolution of the microstructure in HEAs.

Abstract
Biological probes with integrated photoluminescence and magnetism characteristics play a critical role in modern clinical diagnosis and surgical protocols combining fluorescence optical imaging (FOI) with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology. However, traditional magnetic semiconductors can easily generate a spin splitting at the Fermi level and half-metallic electronic occupation, which will sharply reduce the radiation recombination efficiency of photogenerated carriers. To overcome this intrinsic contradiction, we propose a controllable oxidation strategy to introduce some particular PO bonds into black phosphorus nanosheets, in which the p orbital hybridization between P and O atoms not only provides some carrier recombination centers but also leads to a room-temperature spin polarization. As a result, the coexistence of photoluminescence and magnetism is realized in multifunctional black phosphorus probes with excellent biocompatibility. This work provides a new insight into integrating photoluminescence and magnetism together by intriguing atomic orbital hybridization.
