Abstract
Oxidation of histone H3 at lysine 4 (H3K4ox) is catalyzed by lysyl oxidase homolog 2 (LOXL2). This histone modification is enriched in heterochromatin in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells and has been linked to the maintenance of compacted chromatin. However, the molecular mechanism underlying this maintenance is still unknown. Here, we show that LOXL2 interacts with RuvB-Like 1 (RUVBL1), RuvB-Like 2 (RUVBL2), Actin-like protein 6A (ACTL6A), and DNA methyltransferase 1associated protein 1 (DMAP1), a complex involved in the incorporation of the histone variant H2A.Z. Our experiments indicate that this interaction and the active form of RUVBL2 are required to maintain LOXL2-dependent chromatin compaction. Genome-wide experiments showed that H2A.Z, RUVBL2, and H3K4ox colocalize in heterochromatin regions. In the absence of LOXL2 or RUVBL2, global levels of the heterochromatin histone mark H3K9me3 were strongly reduced, and the ATAC-seq signal in the H3K9me3 regions was increased. Finally, we observed that the interplay between these series of events is required to maintain H3K4ox-enriched heterochromatin regions, which in turn is key for maintaining the oncogenic properties of the TNBC cell line tested (MDA-MB-231).

Abstract
Varnimcabtagene autoleucel (var-cel) is an academic anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) product used for the treatment of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) in the CART19-BE-01 trial. Here we report updated outcomes of patients with NHL treated with var-cel. B-cell recovery was compared with patients with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL). Forty-five patients with NHL were treated. Cytokine release syndrome (any grade) occurred in 84% of patients (4% grade ≥3) and neurotoxicity in 7% (2% grade ≥3). The objective response rate was 73% at Day +100, and the 3-year duration of response was 56%. The 3-year progression-free and overall survival were 40% and 52% respectively. High lactate dehydrogenase was the only covariate with an impact on progression-free survival. The 3-year incidence of B-cell recovery was lower in patients with NHL compared to ALL (25% vs. 60%). In conclusion, in patients with NHL, the toxicity of var-cel was manageable, while B-cell recovery was significantly prolonged compared to ALL. This trial was registered as NCT03144583.

Abstract
The isolation and structural characterization of a unique Cu(II) isonicotinate (ina) material with 4-acetylpyridine (4-acpy) is provided. The formation of [Cu(ina)2(4-acpy)]n (1) is triggered by the Cu(II) aerobic oxidation of 4-acpy using O2. This gradual formation of ina led to its restrained incorporation and hindered the full displacement of 4-acpy. As a result, 1 is the first example of a 2D layer assembled by an ina ligand capped by a monodentate pyridine ligand. The Cu(II)-mediated aerobic oxidation with O2 was previously demonstrated for aryl methyl ketones, but we extend the applicability of this methodology to heteroaromatic rings, which has not been tested so far. The formation of ina has been identified by 1H NMR, thus demonstrating the feasible but strained formation of ina from 4-acpy in the mild conditions from which 1 was obtained.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Active surveillance aimed at the early detection of invasive mosquito species is usually focused on seaports and airports as points of entry, and along road networks as dispersion paths. In a number of cases, however, the first detections of colonizing populations are made by citizens, either because the species has already moved beyond the implemented active surveillance sites or because there is no surveillance in place. This was the case of the first detection in 2018 of the Asian bush mosquito, Aedes japonicus, in Asturias (northern Spain) by the citizen science platform Mosquito Alert. METHODS The collaboration between Mosquito Alert, the Ministry of Health, local authorities and academic researchers resulted in a multi-source surveillance combining active field sampling with broader temporal and spatial citizen-sourced data, resulting in a more flexible and efficient surveillance strategy. RESULTS Between 2018 and 2020, the joint efforts of administrative bodies, academic teams and citizen-sourced data led to the discovery of this species in northern regions of Spain such as Cantabria and the Basque Country. This raised the estimated area of occurrence of Ae. japonicus from < 900 km2 in 2018 to > 7000 km2 in 2020. CONCLUSIONS This population cluster is geographically isolated from any other population in Europe, which raises questions about its origin, path of introduction and dispersal means, while also highlighting the need to enhance surveillance systems by closely combining crowd-sourced surveillance with public health and mosquito control agencies' efforts, from local to continental scales. This multi-actor approach for surveillance (either passive and active) shows high potential efficiency in the surveillance of other invasive mosquito species, and specifically the major vector Aedes aegypti which is already present in some parts of Europe.

Abstract
The synthesis and characterization of one coordination polymer and two trinuclear complexes are presented. The coordination polymer [Zn2(µ-O,O'-ACA)2(ACA)2(4-Phpy)2]n (1) has been obtained by the reaction between Zn(OAc)2·2H2O, α-acetamidocinnamic acid (HACA), and 4-phenylpyridine (4-Phpy) using EtOH as solvent. Its recrystallization in CH3CN or EtOH yields two trinuclear complexes, both having pinwheel arrays with formulas [Zn3(µ-ACA)6(4-Phpy)2]·4CH3CN (2·4CH3CN) and [Zn3(µ-ACA)6(EtOH)2]·4EtOH (3·4EtOH), respectively. These trinuclear species, unavoidably lose their solvent co-crystallized molecules at RT yielding the complexes [Zn3(µ-ACA)6(4-Phpy)2] (2) and [Zn3(µ-ACA)6(EtOH)2] (3). In addition, compound 2 has also been obtained reacting Zn(OAc)2·2H2O, HACA, and 4-Phpy in a 1:2:2 ratio using CH3CN as solvent. Compounds 1-3 have been characterized by analytical and spectroscopic techniques. Furthermore, single crystals suitable for X-ray diffraction method for compounds 1, 2·4CH3CN, and 3·4EtOH were obtained and their supramolecular interactions have been studied and discussed, showing 2D supramolecular planes for the trinuclear complexes and a 3D supramolecular network for the coordination polymer. Finally, the supramolecular interactions of 2·4CH3CN and 3·4EtOH have been compared using Hirshfeld surface analysis and electrostatic potential calculations.
