Constructing Soft Perovskite-Substrate Interfaces for Dynamic Modulation of Perovskite Film in Inverted Solar Cells with Over 6200 Hours Photostability

High-performance perovskite solar cells (PSCs) depend heavily on the quality of perovskite films, which is closely related to the lattice distortion, perovskite crystallization, and interfacial defects when being spin-coated and annealed on the substrate surface. Here, a dynamic strategy to modulate the perovskite film formation by using a soft perovskite-substrate interface constructed by employing amphiphilic soft molecules (ASMs) with long alkyl chains and Lewis base groups is proposed. The hydrophobic alkyl chains of ASMs interacted with poly(triarylamine) (PTAA) greatly improve the wettability of PTAA to facilitate the nucleation and growth of perovskite crystals, while the Lewis base groups bound to perovskite lattices significantly passivate the defects in situ. More importantly, this soft perovskite-substrate interface with ASMs between PTAA and perovskite film can dynamically match the lattice distortion with reduced interfacial residual strain upon perovskite crystallization and thermal annealing owing to the soft self-adaptive long-chains, leading to high-quality perovskite films. Thus, the inverted PSCs show a power conversion efficiency approaching 20% with good reproducibility and negligible hysteresis. More impressively, the unencapsulated device exhibits state-of-the-art photostability, retaining 84% of its initial efficiency under continuous simulated 1-sun illumination for more than 6200 h at elevated temperature (≈65 °C).

Highly-Tunable Intrinsic Room-Temperature Ferromagnetism in 2D van der Waals Semiconductor Crx Ga1- x Te

The combination of semiconductivity and tunable ferromagnetism is pivotal for electrical control of ferromagnetism and next-generation low-power spintronic devices. However, Curie temperatures (T_C ) for most traditional intrinsic ferromagnetic semiconductors (≤200 K) and recently discovered two-dimensional (2D) ones (<70 K) are far below room temperature. 2D van der Waals (vdW) semiconductors with intrinsic room-temperature ferromagnetism remain elusive considering the unfavored 2D long-range ferromagnetic order indicated by Mermin-Wagner theorem. Here, vdW semiconductor Cr_x Ga_{1- x} Te crystals exhibiting highly tunable above-room-temperature ferromagnetism with bandgap 1.62-1.66 eV are reported. The saturation magnetic moment (M_sat ) of Cr_x Ga_{1- x} Te crystals can be effectively regulated up to ≈5.4 times by tuning Cr content and ≈75.9 times by changing the thickness. vdW Cr_x Ga_{1- x} Te ultrathin semiconductor crystals show robust room-temperature ferromagnetism with the 2D quantum confinement effect, enabling T_C 314.9-329 K for nanosheets, record-high for intrinsic vdW 2D ferromagnetic semiconductors. This work opens an avenue to room-temperature 2D vdW ferromagnetic semiconductor for 2D electronic and spintronic devices.

Multi-Functional Liposome: A Powerful Theranostic Nano-Platform Enhancing Photodynamic Therapy

Although photodynamic therapy (PDT) has promising advantages in almost non-invasion, low drug resistance, and low dark toxicity, it still suffers from limitations in the lipophilic nature of most photosensitizers (PSs), short half-life of PS in plasma, poor tissue penetration, and low tumor specificity. To overcome these limitations and enhance PDT, liposomes, as excellent multi-functional nano-carriers for drug delivery, have been extensively studied in multi-functional theranostics, including liposomal PS, targeted drug delivery, controllable drug release, image-guided therapy, and combined therapy. This review provides researchers with a useful reference in liposome-based drug delivery.
