Abstract
Sarcomas are rare tumours that represent less than 1% of all malignant tumours in adults. Liposarcomas are among the most common malignant mesenchymal tumours. They are preferentially located in the limbs and the retroperitoneum. Liposarcomas primarily arising in the digestive tract are exceptional with a few cases reported in the literature. Their clinical presentation is variable and the symptoms are not specific. Anatomopathological examination remains the gold standard for the diagnosis and the classification of these tumours, which are divided into 5 histological types according to the 5th edition of the WHO classification of soft tissue tumours. We report two observations of unusual digestive liposarcomas, located in the oesophagus and the colon, emphasizing the variability of the diagnostic challenges, depending on the clinical presentation, the histological type and the analysed material.

Abstract
A fibrovascular polyp is a rare benign pseudotumour of the oesophagus and hypopharynx. Although patients usually present with dysphagia, aspiration related mortality may occur. If the tumour is too large and/or located in the proximal oesophagus, it may protrude from the mouth. The general approach to treatment is complete reconstruction with cervicotomy. We present our experience of a giant oesophageal fibrovascular polyp that was protruding from the mouth and treated with endoscopic resection. A 55-year-old man was admitted to our outpatient clinic complaining of a mass protruding from his mouth when he coughed. Endoscopy and bronchoscopy both revealed a 15-18cm long polypoid mass originating from the proximal oesophagus (at the level of the hypopharynx). Complete resection was performed via endoscopy.

Abstract
We present a rare case of a big oesophageal liposarcoma causing dysphagia and weight loss in a 75-year-old patient. Endoscopically, a pedunculated lesion with subtotal obstruction of the oesophageal lumen had been detected and thoracoabdominal oesophageal resection with gastric sleeve reconstruction was performed. Surprisingly, a liposarcoma of the oesophagus was revealed on histopathological analysis, showing MDM2 overexpression. Oncological follow-up has been uneventful and the patient remains in good clinical shape at 15 months after surgery.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Giant fibrovascular esophageal polyps are rare benign intraluminal tumors that originate from the submucosa of the cervical esophagus [Owens et al. (JAMA 103: 838-842, 1994), Totten et al. (JAMA 25:606-622, 1953)]. Due to their indolent course, these tumors tend to reach enormous proportions before patients develop symptoms. Accurately diagnosing these tumors is difficult, as endoscopy may miss 25% of these lesions because these polyps exhibit normal intact esophageal mucosa [Levine et al. (JAMA 166: 781-787, 1996)]. METHODS Surgical resection has been the treatment of choice. We present a video that illustrates the feasibility of an endoscopic approach. TECHNIQUE/CASE A 62-year-old man presented to our clinic with a pedunculated esophageal mass. During this time, he developed progressive dysphagia to solid foods. A complete workup confirmed the presence of a giant polyp and endoscopic resection under general anesthesia was planned. Using an endoscopic snare-technique, a 16 cm × 3 cm polyp was amputated and retracted out of the oropharynx. Upon repeat endoscopy a second 7 cm × 3 cm polyp was discovered originating proximal to the larger polyp. Again, removal of this polyp was attempted using a snare-technique. Following amputation of the polyp, a broad-based component of the polyp remained. Given its proximal location in the esophagus, we were able to use a snare to pull the broad base of the remaining polyp into the oropharynx and remove it at its origin. Postoperative endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound confirmed that the polyps were completely removed and the muscular resection bed was hemostatic. Clinically, the patient's symptoms resolved and he encountered no adverse sequela as a result of the operation. CONCLUSION Giant fibrovascular esophageal polyps are rare benign intraluminal tumors that can lead to obstructive symptoms. Surgical resection is the treatment of choice, and may be possible with an endoscopic approach. An endoscopic snare technique can be used to resect these lesions while minimizing patient morbidity.

Abstract
Polyps are common lesions in pharynx and larynx. A 46-year-old woman was transferred to our department because of the huge laryngeal mass, which was incidentally detected during routine health screening. On laryngoscopic exam, both vocal folds were not visualized due to the mass but she had no symptom such as hoarseness, dysphagia, and dyspnea. Awake intubation was safely performed using flexible bronchoscope without tracheostomy. A 4-cm sized mass on the left aryepiglottic fold was removed with trans-oral approach and discharged without complication. The pathologic diagnosis was reported as 'fibrovascular polyp'. Herein, we describe a unique case of giant fibrovascular polyp on aryepiglottic fold, which is the first report in the English literature.

Abstract
Giant esophageal and hypopharyngeal polyps are benign tumors rarely encountered in clinical practice. In most cases, they are completely asymptomatic; however, despite the rarity of these tumors, interest in giant esophageal polyps derives from their degree of growth (characterized by slow growth into the esophageal lumen) and their mobility. In fact, if regurgitation occurs, they can ascend into the oral cavity and be aspirated into the airways, with potentially lethal consequences. The removal of these giant polyps is recommended. An adequate preoperative evaluation to identify the correct origin of the stalk is mandatory for a successful endoscopic or surgical treatment. A 60-year-old man was admitted to our hospital for anemia. The patient underwent gastroscopy, contrast computed tomography and endoscopic ultrasound. At the conclusion of the procedure, during the extraction of the echoendoscope, the patient began retching and regurgitated the polyp, without experiencing respiratory distress. The patient underwent a left cervicotomy and polyp dissection via a pharyngotomy.

Abstract
Giant fibrovascular polyps of the esophagus and hypopharynx are rare benign esophageal tumors. They arise most commonly in the upper esophagus and may, rarely, originate in the hypopharynx. They can vary significantly in size. Even though they are benign, they may be lethal due to either bleeding or, rarely, asphyxiation if a large polyp is regurgitated. Patients commonly present with dysphagia or hematemesis. The polyps may not be well visualized on endoscopy and imaging plays a vital role in aiding diagnosis as well as providing important information for pre-operative planning, such as the location of the pedicle, the vascularity of the polyp and the tissue elements of the mass. They can also be recurrent in rare cases, especially if the resection margins of the base are involved. We review the recent literature and report a case of a 61-year-old man with a recurrent giant esophageal fibrovascular polyp with illustrative contrast barium swallow, CT and intra-operative images, who required several surgeries via a combination of endoscopic, trans-oral, trans-cervical, trans-thoracic and trans-abdominal approaches.
