Abstract
(1) Background: Immunisation is a crucial and effective method for preventing infectious diseases, with its success dependent on high immunisation rates to protect under-immunised individuals and promote herd immunity. This qualitative descriptive study is part of a larger explanatory sequential mixed method design that aims to explore factors influencing parents' decision making to complete childhood immunisation in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, a country experiencing disparities in immunisation coverage across its population. (2) Methods: The sample consisted of a subset of participants from the initial quantitative phase, which included a survey on the immunisation attitudes of parents living in Qatif. This initial phase included n = 350 participants, who were over 18, had access to one of the 27 Primary Health Care (PHC) Centres in Qatif, and had a child under 24 months. This paper presents the qualitative-descriptive phase, which used a qualitative survey to gain open-ended responses from parents (n = 20) and analysed using thematic analysis. (3) Results: Participants identified certain vaccines, particularly MMR, as influencing their immunisation practices. Specific factors identified as deterring parents from immunising their children included fear of autism and other developmental delays, concerns about risks and side effects, mistrust in vaccine efficacy, and discouraging information from the media. Parents' immunisation decisions were evidently affected by policy compliance, family and friends, and social networking sites. These factors are explained through the socio-ecological model. Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic influenced parents' decisions on vaccine completion in terms of perceived barriers, perceived benefits, and perceived trust. (4) Conclusions: By examining the social-ecological factors shaping parents' decisions to immunise their children in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, this research contributes to the literature and informs the Saudi National Childhood Immunisation Programme about factors contributing to childhood immunisation hesitancy, helping to address a critical healthcare issue.

Abstract
Background Immunizations protect children from deadly infectious diseases. The timeliness of vaccinating children is crucial to ensure effective immunization and to decrease the burden of many infectious diseases. Therefore, this study assessed the prevalence and determinants of vaccination delay among children in Riyadh City, Saudi Arabia. Methods This cross-sectional study was conducted at the primary healthcare centers in Riyadh City, Saudi Arabia, on 593 parents with children of two years of age or below. It used a self-administered questionnaire inquiring about socio-demographic characteristics and assessing the vaccination statuses of their children and the causes of delayed vaccinations. Results The results showed that 7.1% of children had a delay in the previous vaccination. Of those delays, collectively, 77.5% were delays in inactivated poliovirus vaccine (IPV), oral poliovirus vaccine (OPV), and meningococcal vaccine (MCV) vaccines. The delay was mostly caused by an illness of the child on vaccination day, carelessness of parents, or long postponement. After adjusting for confounders, the father's high school or bachelor's education level (OR = 1.18, 95% CI: 1.03, 1.36) (p<0.05), child's mix-type nutrition (OR = 1.06, 95% CI: 1.02, 1.10) (p=0.001), and the belief that multiple vaccines are harmful to the child (POR = 1.03, 95% CI: 1.01, 1.06) (p=0.005) were positively associated with vaccination delay, while prematurity was negatively associated with vaccination delay (OR = 0.96, 95% CI: 0.93, 0.99) (p=0.031). Conclusion The study found the prevalence of vaccination delay was lower than in previous COVID-19-era studies. The child's illness was the main reason for the delay. Factors like parental education, nutrition type, and vaccine beliefs contributed to delays, while prematurity reduced delays. Measures should be strengthened to increase vaccination coverage for children.

Abstract
(1) Background: surveillance data from the Saudi Ministry of Health shows that the Kingdom’s large-scale immunisation programme has significantly reduced the mortality and morbidity of the target diseases among children. In this study, we review relevant literature and test a number of hypotheses related to the association between demographic, socio-economic, clinic-related, and parents-related variables and completion of childhood immunisation. In doing so, this study identifies critical factors associated with completion of childhood immunisation and presents important implications to healthcare practitioners, particularly in Saudi Arabia; (2) Literature review: a systematic literature review was conducted to understand what is currently published concerning parents’ immunisation compliance in Saudi Arabia and the factors associated with immunisation compliance. (3) Methods: from March to May 2022, an online survey was administered to parents attending one of the 27 primary health care (PHC) centres in Qatif. Data from parents (n = 353) were analysed using exploratory factor analysis, correlation, and a series of OLS and logistic regression models; (4) Results: parental (child) age was negatively (positively) associated with the completion status of childhood immunisation (both p < 0.05). Parents with positive attitudes, social norms, perceptions towards immunisation, and those working in private companies were more likely to immunise their children (all p < 0.05). Conversely, living in an apartment building, walking to PHCs, waiting longer at PHCs, and having higher knowledge of immunisation were negatively associated with the completion of childhood immunisation (all p < 0.05); (5) Conclusions: several factors that positively or negatively influence the completion of childhood immunisation have been identified. Future studies may investigate the causal link between these factors and parental decision-making regarding childhood immunisation.

Abstract
BACKGROUND In China, premature children in good health may be advised to receive routine immunization programs. However, delayed vaccination is common. This study aimed to characterize vaccination experiences of premature children and determine the impact of vaccination consultation clinic (VCC) assessment. METHODS We performed a retrospective cohort study, including premature children visiting VCC at Children's Hospital of Fudan University in 2017-2019. Data of these children, including demographics, recommendations of vaccination after VCC assessment, vaccination records, adverse events following immunization (AEFI), and incidence of vaccine-preventable diseases in 2017-2019, were collected retrospectively. RESULTS A total of 1124 premature children were included, with vaccination uptake of 46.3% for expanded program of immunization (EPI) vaccines and 15.1% for non-EPI vaccines before VCC assessment. Furthermore, 77.5% of premature children who had not received any EPI vaccine were vaccinated after the assessment; however, most were delayed, regardless of vaccine types and recommendations. In contrast, 67.3% was vaccinated with non-EPI vaccines after the assessment. Majority (n = 35) of recorded AEFI was mild to moderate, in addition to one allergic rash. One each case of pertussis and varicella were recorded in those who had not received the corresponding vaccines. CONCLUSION Vaccination may be safe and epidemiological effective in premature children. However, it remains mostly delayed in premature children with recommendations of normal vaccination. It warrants improving implementation of VCC recommendations. In addition, there is a need of health promotion on more non-EPI vaccines for premature children.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Delayed vaccination in children with seizures was common in China. This study aims to describe the vaccination status, reasons for vaccination deferral, vaccination recommendations and the safety for these patients in Zhejiang. METHODS 1539 children included were divided into febrile seizure (FS) group, epilepsy (EP) group, unclassified seizure group and other symptomatic seizure group. Medical records and reasons for the vaccination deferral were collected by questionnaire. Vaccination data and Adverse Event Following Immunization were retrieved from vaccination booklets. RESULTS The main diseases of children enrolled were FS (756, 49.1%) and EP (443, 28.8%). Most of them (95.6%) were vaccinated on time before the onset of seizure, but their vaccination was delayed after seizure occurred. 76.1% were recommended to receive vaccines normally, of which the FS group accounted for the highest proportion (90.3%). 88.73% of them were vaccinated as recommended, and no serious side effects or seizure occurred. The main reason for vaccination deferral was providers' and parents' hesitation to have them vaccinated. CONCLUSION Seizures were overestimated as a contraindication for vaccination in China. Routine vaccination was safe in most circumstances. It is essential to educate providers and parents about the benefits and contraindications of vaccination in children with seizures.

Abstract
There has been a considerable controversy about vaccination practices in Children with congenital heart disease (CHD) in China. This study aims to identify the reasons for deferring vaccination among the patient population attending the Vaccination Consultation Clinic in Zhejiang Province and the safety of their vaccination. We analyzed the data of 2442 children with CHD, who visited to our clinic from January 2016 to March 2019. A questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the reasons for their delayed vaccination. Information about the following vaccination and Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI) was collected. Most of the enrolled children did not receive vaccines on time before consultation. The reasons for their deferring vaccination included: 1. Providers in the community health center refused to administer vaccines (77.6%); 2. Parents' concerns about the safety of vaccines (19.0%); 3. Parents' doubts about the efficiency of vaccines after certain drug applications (3.4%). According to the evaluation reports issued by the Vaccination Consultation Clinic, 83.7% of CHD children were recommended to be vaccinated on the nationally recommended schedule, 14.4% were recommended to defer some specific vaccination, and 1.9% were recommended to defer all vaccination. Among the group who received vaccines on nationally recommended schedule, the AEFI rate was 33.5/100 000. No rare or serious rare vaccine reactions were observed. Our study provides evidence that routine vaccination is safe in the majority of this patient population.
