Abstract
Allergic rhinitis (AR) is a type-I hypersensitivity disease mediated by immunoglobulin E (IgE). Although antihistamines, glucocorticoids, leukotriene receptor antagonists, and other drugs are widely used to treat AR, the various adverse side effects of long-term use of these drugs should not be ignored. Therefore, more effective and safe natural alternative strategies are urgently needed. To this end, this study designed a nanosupramolecular delivery system composed of β-cyclodextrin supramolecular polymer (PCD), thiolated chitosan (TCS), and natural polyphenol epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) for intranasal topical continuous treatment of AR. The TCS/PCD@EGCG nanocarriers exhibited an excellent performance in terms of retention and permeability in the nasal mucosa and released the vast majority of EGCG responsively in the nasal microenvironment, thus resulting in the significantly high antibacterial and antioxidant capacities. According to the in vitro model, compared with free EGCG, TCS/PCD@EGCG inhibited mast cell activity and abnormal histamine secretion in a more long-term and sustained manner. According to the in vivo model, whether in the presence of continuous or intermittent administration, TCS/PCD@EGCG substantially inhibited the secretion of allergenic factors and inflammatory factors, mitigated the pathological changes of nasal mucosa, alleviated the symptoms of rhinitis in mice, and produced a satisfactory therapeutic effect on AR. In particular, the therapeutic effect of TCS/PCD@EGCG systems were even superior to that of budesonide during intermittent treatment. Therefore, the TCS/PCD@EGCG nanocarrier is a potential long-lasting antiallergic medicine for the treatment of AR.

Abstract
Slow healing of wounds induces great pain in diabetic patients. However, developing new approaches to promote diabetic wound healing is still one of the toughest challenges in the medical field. Here, we constructed a new double-layer hydrogel to effectively regulate reactive oxygen species (ROS) on the wound and promote diabetic wound healing. The inner layer contains glucose oxidase (Gox), ferrocene-modified quaternary ammonium chitosan (Fc-QCs), and poly(β-cyclodextrin) (Pβ-CD), which is used to generate hydroxyl radicals (•OH) for antibacterial in the early stage of wound healing and collapses gradually. The outer layer is composed of gelatin and dopamine. In the later stage of wound healing, the outer layer contacts the skin, which is beneficial for ROS clearance on the wound. Antibacterial, ROS scavenging, and wound healing experiments have shown that the double-layer hydrogel possesses two-stage ROS regulating properties for programmed diabetic wound healing. In conclusion, it will be one of the most potential dressings for treating diabetic wounds in the future.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of reinfection of 2019-nCoV and influencing factors, and provide evidence for effective prevention and control of COVID-19 epidemic. Methods: The incidence data of COVID-19 in Ningbo from January 1, 2020 to November 30, 2022 were collected from the infectious disease surveillance system of Chinese information system for disease control and prevention. The incidence of reinfection of 2019-nCoV was investigated by using questionnaire. logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influences of gender, age, time interval from the first infection, history of underlying disease, 2019-nCoV vaccination dose and disease severity on the reinfection. Results: A total of 897 previous 2019-nCoV infection cases were investigated, of which 115 experienced the reinfection of 2019-nCoV, the reinfection rate was 12.82%. The interval between the two infections M(Q1, Q3) was 1 052 (504, 1 056) days. Univariate analysis showed that age, 2019-nCoV vaccination dose, history of underlying disease, type of 2019-nCoV variant causing the first infection, time interval from the first infection and severity of the first infection were associated with the reinfection rate (all P<0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the risk for reinfection in age group 30- years was higher than that in age group ≥60 years (OR=2.10, 95%CI: 1.11-3.97). No reinfection occurred in those with time interval from the first infection of <6 months, and the risk for reinfection was higher in those with the time interval of ≥12 months than in those with the time interval of 6- months (OR=6.68, 95%CI: 3.46-12.90). The risk for reinfection was higher in the common or mild cases than in the asymptomatic cases (OR=2.64, 95%CI: 1.18-5.88; OR=2.79, 95%CI: 1.27-6.11). Conclusion: The time interval from the first infection was an important influencing factor for the reinfection of 2019-nCoV, and the probability of the reinfection within 6 months was low.

Abstract
Plasma miRNAs can characterize several diseases, including acute ischemic stroke (AIS), which is noninvasive and currently affordable in most laboratories worldwide. We aimed to demonstrate plasma miR-140-3p, miR-130a-3p, and miR-320b as diagnostic biomarkers in AIS.GSE110993 and GSE86291 datasets were analyzed to obtain plasma differentially expressed miRNAs between AIS and healthy control subjects (HCs). We further applied RT-qPCR for the validation in 85 AIS patients and 85 HCs. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve were conducted to evaluate their diagnostic utility in AIS. Correlation was analyzed between DEmiRNAs and clinical and laboratory parameters, as well as inflammatory markers. The plasma levels of miR-140-3p, miR-130a-3p, and miR-320b were found to be consistently altered in both GSE110993 and GSE86291 datasets. In comparison to HCs, AIS patients at admission exhibited lower levels of miR-140-3p and miR-320b and higher level of miR-130a-3p in their plasma. The ROC analysis revealed that plasma miR-140-3p, miR-130a-3p, and miR-320b had area under the curve values of 0.790, 0.831, and 0.907, respectively. When combined, these miRNAs showed superior discriminatory power with a sensitivity of 91.76% and specificity of 95.29%. Plasma miR-140-3p and miR-320b negatively correlated glucose levels and inflammatory markers (IL-6, MMP-2, MMP-9, and VEGF) in AIS patients. Conversely, plasma miR-130a-3p levels were positively associated with glucose levels and these markers. Plasma miR-140-3p, miR-130a-3p, and miR-320b levels varied significantly among AIS patients with different NIHSS scores. Plasma miR-140-3p, miR-130a-3p, and miR-320b had high diagnostic value in AIS patients, which were correlated with inflammation and severity in stroke.

Abstract
Uncontrolled bleeding is one of the most important causes threatening human health, but quick hemostasis remains a challenge. We prepared porous cryogels with poly β-cyclodextrin (Pβ-CD) and quaternary ammoniated chitosan (QCs). Pβ-CD acts as a "water-grabbing agent" to assist QCs' ability to absorb and concentrate blood rapidly. The rat-tail amputation model and liver injury model exhibited that cryogels had excellent hemostatic performance. Moreover, cryogels showed good antibacterial activity and biocompatibility. Therefore, these cryogels can be used as potential hemostatic materials.

Abstract
Tear resistance is of vital importance in the fabrication and application of synthetic soft materials. However, the paradox of simultaneously improving the tearing energy and elasticity remains a huge challenge for conventional approaches. Here, inspired by the skin, we successfully constructed an extraordinary tear-resistant, superelastic elastomer by the introduction of nanosized polycyclodextrin into the elastomer network to form a slidable interpenetrate double network structure. The tearing energy of the SDEP elastomer is up to 274 KJ/m2, which is comparable to metals and alloys and increased more than 100 times compared with the chemically cross-linked elastomer. The fracture strain exceeded 3300%, which is hardly achieved by other materials with high tearing energy. This comprehensive improvement of antitearing and super elasticity property was achieved by (i) a slide ring effect to dissipate energy and blunt a crack tip; (ii) straightening and reorientation of the slidable double network to deflect the advancing of a crack tip; (iii) a double network sharing the load. These results provide a novel strategy to fabricate elastic, tear-resistant soft material, which may contribute to the practical application as tear-resistant flexible electronics and irregular-shaped stretchable devices.

Abstract
Porous materials have attracted significant attention because of their rising applications in many fields. Cyclodextrins (CDs) are suitable building units in the fabrication of porous materials owing to their intrinsic nanoporous structure, easy modification, and biocompatibility, which may result in the formation of CD-based organic frameworks (including cyclodextrin metal-organic frameworks (CD-MOFs) and cyclodextrin covalent organic frameworks (CD-COFs)), and CD-based polymer hybrid porous materials. This review focuses on the recent progress in the fabrication and applications of CD-based porous materials with novel structures and functionalities.

Abstract
Mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) for CO2 separation have overcome the trade-off between gas permeability and gas selectivity to some extent. However, most MMMs still are prepared in lab- and pilot-scales since the permeability and selectivity of CO2 are not good enough to reach the economically available requirements. Moreover, the fabrication of few MMMs with good separation performance is time-consuming or need harsh conditions. In this study, a novel MOF-based composite membrane (PAN-γ-CD-MOF-PU membrane) was successfully fabricated by a facile and fast spin-coating method. In the two-step coating process, we applied a uniform selective layer of γ-cyclodextrin-MOF (γ-CD-MOF) on porous polyacrylonitrile and then coated a layer of polyurethane on the γ-CD-MOF layer. The entire membrane formation process was about 30 s. The formation of a unique γ-CD-MOF layer greatly improved the separation ability of CO2 (the CO2 permeability is 70.97 barrers; the selectivity to CO2/N2 and CO2/O2 are 253.46 and 154.28, respectively). The gas separation performance can exceed the Robeson upper limit obviously and the selectivity is better than other MOF-based composite membranes. In addition, the PAN-γ-CD-MOF-PU membrane is strong and flexible. Therefore, the PAN-γ-CD-MOF-PU membrane developed in this study has great potential in large-scale industrial separation of CO2.

(2) High-risk HPV infection: there was no significant difference in the high-risk HPV positive rate between the postmenopausal group and the pre-menopausal group [92.0% (404/439) vs 94.4% (1 486/1 574); χ²=3.394, P=0.065]; the HPV 16 infection was the most common type, but there was no significant difference in the HPV 16 infection rate between the two groups [65.8% (289/439) vs 68.0% (1 070/1 574); χ²=0.722, P=0.395]. (3) TCT test: TCT test results included negative for intraepithelial lesion and malignancy (NILM), atypical squamous cell of undetermined signification (ASCUS), atypical squamous cells cannot exclude high-grade lesion (ASC-H), low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (LSIL), HSIL, compared with the different results of TCT examination, there were not statistically significant difference between postmenopausal and pre-menopausal patients (all P>0.05). (4) The performance of colposcopy: the proportion of insufficient colposcopy and the proportion of cervical type Ⅲ conversion area were higher in postmenopausal patients compared with pre-menopausal patients [87.5% (384/439) vs 32.5% (511/1 574), P<0.01; 80.0% (351/439) vs 21.9% (344/1 574), P<0.01]. The proportion and positive rate of endocervical curettage (ECC) in postmenopausal patients were higher than those in pre-menopausal patients [35.3% (155/439) vs 20.4% (322/1 574), P<0.01; 67.7% (105/155) vs 53.1% (171/322), P=0.003]. The proportion of lesions involving the vaginal wall was higher in postmenopausal patients compared with pre-menopausal patients [5.9% (26/439) vs 1.0% (16/1 574); χ²=40.443, P<0.01]. There was a positive correlation between vaginal wall lesions and cervical lesions in postmenopausal patients (r=0.660, P<0.01). (5) Postoperative pathology: the positive rate of margin and the proportion of pathological escalation after cervical conization were significantly higher in postmenopausal patients compared with pre-menopausal patients [14.6% (64/439) vs 4.8% (75/1 574), 10.9% (48/439) vs 5.5% (86/1 574); P<0.01]. Conclusions: Colposcopy in postmenopausal women is often inadequate, and the cervix is mostly type Ⅲ transformation zone. The lesion in postmenopausal women is more likely to involve the cervical canal and vaginal wall. Clinical attention should be paid to cervical tube curettage and comprehensive examination of the vaginal wall. The high rate of positive margins and a high proportion of pathological upgrading after cervical conization in postmenopausal patients requires further active intervention.

Abstract
Nowadays, the practical applications of metal-organic framework (MOF)-based fluorescence detectors are severely hindered because of the complex synthesis process of linkers or heavy metal contamination. The development of a simple, inexpensive, and environmentally friendly fluorescence sensing system remains a huge challenge. In this study, we designed and synthesized a TPE@γ-CD-MOF-K complex using the facile in situ encapsulation method. The unique pore structure of γ-CD-MOF allowed it to effectively include TPE and explosives as guests simultaneously. The TPE@γ-CD-MOF-K showed stronger fluorescence emission than TPE and sensitive fluorescence quenching activities in response to nitro-aromatic compounds in the liquid phase with detection limits as low as 3 ppm. Furthermore, TPE@γ-CD-MOF-K can also effectively detect nitro-aromatic compounds in the solid state, which is very convenient for practical detection of explosives. The unique pore structure of γ-CD-MOF-K and the interaction between K+ and nitro compounds play important roles in solid-state quenching.

Abstract
The adsorption of CO2 by conventional liquid alkanolamine adsorbents does not meet the requirements for green-friendly development in industrial applications. In this work, we constructed NH2-β-CD-MOF for the first time through the amino-functionalization of the lowest-priced, readily available, and biocompatible β-CD. Subsequently, the samples were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, elemental analysis, and N2 adsorption/desorption. The CO2 adsorption capacity of NH2-β-CD-MOF was found to be 12.3 cm3/g, which is 10 times that of β-CD-MOF. In addition, NH2-β-CD-MOF has outstanding selective adsorption of CO2/N2 (947.52) compared with the reported materials. The adsorption mechanism of CO2 was analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Furthermore, we have found that NH2-β-CD-MOF has better water stability relative to β-CD-MOF and γ-CD-MOF, and it can be recycled by an ultrasonic method.

Abstract
Self-healing materials (SHMs) have been a research hot topic in recent years owing to their greatly improved longevity and safety in practical applications. Recently, research on SHMs has gradually expanded from structural materials to functional materials. Functional materials with self-healing properties (FMSH) require simultaneous repairing not only of the mechanical properties but of the functionalities from damaged cracks or wounds. It is more challenging to introduce both self-healing properties and a particular functionality to materials owing to the difficulties of preparing the materials and their more complex healing mechanism. Herein, we summarize the recent progress that has been made in FMSH, put forward insights from the perspectives of material preparation and healing mechanisms and highlight future developments for FMSH.

Abstract
Airborne particulate matter (PM) pollution has become a serious environmental problem. Thus, there is a need for the development of air filters with satisfactory overall performance. In this paper, we develop a kind of β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) based air filter with high strength, which has not only high filtration efficiency (about 99%) but also good air permeability (the pressure drop is only 45Pa). Especially after long-term application, the pression drop of β-cyclodextrin based was less than half of the commercial air-filter. Additionally, the material can capture the toxic gasous chemicals (e.g. formaldehyde and SO2). The introduction of β-CD is supposed to be the key factor for improvement of air filter.

Abstract
Increasing resistance to humid environments is a major challenge for the application of γ-CD-K-MOF (a green MOF) in real-world utilisation. γ-CD-K-MOF-H2S with enhanced moisture tolerance was obtained by simply treating MOF with H2S gas. XPS, Raman and TGA characterizations indicated that the H2S molecules coordinated with the metal centers in the framework. H2S acting as a newly available water adsorption potential well near the potassium centers protects the metal-ligand coordination bond from attack by water molecules and thus improves the moisture stability of MOF. After 7 days exposure in 60% relative humidity, γ-CD-K-MOF-H2S retained its crystal structure and morphology, while γ-CD-K-MOF had nearly collapsed. In addition, the formaldehyde uptake tests indicated that γ-CD-K-MOF retain their permanent porosity after interaction with H2S. This simple and facile one-step strategy would open a new avenue for preparation of moisture stable MOFs for practical applications.

Tough Self-Healing Elastomers Based on the Host-Guest Interaction of Polycyclodextrin. ACS APPLIED MATERIALS & INTERFACES 2019; 11:12105-12113. Abstract
Inspired by animal muscles, we developed a kind of tough elastomers combining high strength and high stretchability with autonomous self-healing capability. A key structural feature is the construction of a double network (DN) connected by the hydrogen bond and host-guest interactions. The first network is the classic elastomer polyacrylate matrix cross-linked by strong hydrogen bonding. The second network is formed through the host-guest interactions between polycyclodextrin and the adamantane (Ad) groups on the side of the polyacrylate chain. Supramolecular interactions between two networks make them miscible and interpenetrate in the molecular level and then can share the load as the sample was stretched. The host-guest interactions act not only as sacrificial bonds for energy dissipation but also as self-healing driving forces. The tensile strength of the DN elastomer reaches about 6.7 MPa and the strain is as high as about 950%. The DN elastomer can be easy to repair by touching the damaged surface together at ambient conditions when broken or cut. The recovered tensile strength can reach over 4.5 MPa, which is better than the most pristine strength of existing spontaneous self-healing elastomers.

miR-375 inhibits the proliferation and invasion of glioblastoma by regulating Wnt5a. Neoplasma 2019; 66:350-356. Abstract
The aberrant expression of microRNA-375 (miR-375) has been proved to be associated with carcinogenesis. However, the role of miR-375 in glioblastoma (GBM) remains unknown. The aim of this study was to investigate biological functions and its molecular mechanisms of miR-375 in GBM cells. In this study, real-time PCR results showed that the level of miR-375 expression in GBM tissues and GBM cell lines (U87 and U251) was decreased. Using MTT assay, Transwell migration and invasion assay, we demonstrated that miR-375 overexpression significantly suppress cell proliferation, cell migration and cell invasion capacity in U87 and U251 cells. However, downregulation of miR-375 had reverse effects on cell proliferation, migration and invasion. Targeting association analysis, dual luciferase assay, RT-PCR and western blot analysis results confirmed that miR-375 could target the 3'UTR of Wnt5a mRNA and regulated its protein expression. Further studies also find overexpression of Wnt5a could significantly reverse miR-375-mediated proliferation, migration and invasion on U87 and U251 cells. Therefore, we concluded that miR-375 inhibited the proliferation and invasion of GBM by regulating Wnt5a and might be a possible therapeutic agent for GBM.

Abstract
Inspired by the functions of leeches, for the first time homogeneous materials integrating hydrogels and elastomers were achieved by free radical polymerization. 2-Methoxyethyl acrylate (MEA) was used as elastomer monomer and Pluronics functionalized with vinyl groups acted as cross-linkers to impart the hydrogel property to the materials. The resulting Pluronic/PMEA gels possess a swelling ratio of about 210% and good water-retaining ability. Compression tests of Pluronic/PMEA gels at swelling equilibrium state show a stress up to 1.6 MPa under 85% strain. The gels act as elastomer after dehydration. Uniaxial tensile fracture stress and the elongation reached 1200 kPa and 500%, respectively, and compression stress was above 22 MPa. Furthermore, the Pluronic/PMEA gels also show self-healing properties. Owing to the excellent mechanical performance in both wet and dry conditions, this hydrogel-elastomer integrated material may have potential applications in tissue engineering, soft robotics, and biomedical devices.

Abstract
The Sine oculis homeobox 1 (Six1) gene is important for skeletal muscle growth and fiber specification; therefore, it is considered as a promising candidate gene that may influence porcine growth and meat quality traits. Nevertheless, the association of Six1 with these processes and the mechanisms regulating its expression remain unclear. The objectives of this study were to identify variant sites of Six1 in different pig breeds, conduct association analysis to evaluate the relationship between polymorphisms of these variants and porcine production traits in Pietrain × Duroc × Landrace × Yorkshire commercial pigs, and explore the potential regulatory mechanisms of Six1 affecting production traits. A total of 12 variants were identified, including 10 single- nucleotide variations (SNVs), 1 insertion- deletion (Indel), and 1 (AC)n microsatellite. Association analysis demonstrated that the SNV, g.1595A>G, was significantly associated with meat color (redness, a*); individuals with the G allele had greater a* values (P < 0.05). Moreover, our results demonstrated that the (AC)n polymorphism in the Six1 promoter was significantly associated with weaning weight (P < 0.05), carcass weight (P < 0.05), and thoracic and lumbar back fat (P < 0.01).In addition, we found that the (AC)n variant was closely related with Six1 expression levels and demonstrated this polymorphism on promoter activity by in vitro experiments. Overall, this study provides novel evidence for elucidating the effects of Six1 on porcine production traits as promising candidate and describes two variants with these traits, which are potential reference markers for pig molecular breeding. In addition, our data on the relationship between porcine Six1 expression and the polymorphic (AC)n microsatellite in its promoter may facilitate similar studies in other species.

Abstract
The research of hydrogels has been increasingly focused on designing an effective energy dissipation structure in recent years. Here, we report a kind of novel supramolecular cross-linker, which was formed by self-assembling amphiphilic block copolymers with guest groups at the end and vinyl-functionalized cyclodextrin (CD) through host-guest interaction. These cross-linkers could dissipate energy effectively since they combined multiple sacrificial mechanisms across multiscales through physical interactions. The resulted hydrogel shows distinguishing mechanical properties (fracture toughness of 2.68 ± 0.69 MJ/m3, tension strength of up to 475 kPa, uniaxial stretch over 2100%), remarkable fatigue resistance, and thermal- and light-responsive behaviors.

Abstract
Although various analytical methods have been established based on quantum dots (QDs), most were conducted in solution, which is inadequate for storage/transportation and rapid analysis. Moreover, the potential environmental problems caused by abandoned QDs cannot be ignored. In this paper, a reusable xerogel containing CdTe with strong emission is established by introducing host–guest interactions between QDs and polymer matrix. This xerogel shows high QDs loading capacity without decrease or redshift in fluorescence (the maximum of loading is 50 wt % of the final xerogel), which benefits from the steric hindrance of β-cyclodextrin (βCD) molecules. Host–guest interactions immobilize QDs firmly, resulting in the excellent fluorescence retention of the xerogel. The good detecting performance and reusability mean this xerogel could be employed as a versatile analysis platform (for quantitative and qualitative analyses). In addition, the xerogel can be self-healed by the aid of water.

Abstract
Shape memory polymers (SMPs), with the capability to change from one or more temporary shapes to predetermined shapes in response to an external stimulus, have attracted much interest from both academia and industries. When introducing supramolecular interactions that have been featured as dynamic and reversible into the design of novel SMPs, intriguing and unique functionalities have been engendered and thereby broaden the potential applications of the SMPs to new territories. In this review, we summarize recent progress made in SMPs based on supramolecular interactions, provide insight into the material design and shape memory mechanism, elucidate and evaluate their properties and performance, and point out opportunities and applications of SMPs.

Abstract
A dual redox and biorelevant triggered supramolecular system is developed through noncovalent supramolecular inclusion interactions between the ferrocene (Fc) modified on camptothecin (CPT) and β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) at the end of methoxy polyethylene glycol (mPEG). With these two segments, a stable noncovalent supramolecular structure, i.e., mPEG-β-CD/Fc-CPT, can be formed, and then self-assembled into micellar structures in water. Interestingly, these supramolecular micelles showed uniform sphere structure, high and constant drug loading content, hyper-fast redox-responsive drug release, and exhibited equal cellular proliferation inhibition toward A549 cancer cells. The cytotoxicity evaluation of mPEG-β-CD also indicated good biocompatibility. In vivo results revealed the mPEG-β-CD/Fc-CPT nanoparticles had higher in vivo efficacy without side effects. It is anticipated this supramolecular complex may serve as a new kind of promising alternative for drug delivery systems.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To observe the success rate of telbivudine (LdT) for the prevention of perinatal transmission of hepatitis B virus (HBV) and the incidence of alanine aminotransferase (ALT) elevation during LdT treatment and after LdT withdrawal in HBV-infected pregnant woman with high viremia in immune-tolerant phase and receiving LdT treatment at the end of pregnancy, and to evaluate the efficacy of LdT in the prevention of perinatal transmission and the safety for pregnant women. METHODS Pregnant women infected with HBV in immune-tolerant phase who had normal ALT levels (≤40 U/L) and high viremia (HBV DNA ≥6 log10 IU/ml) with positive HBeAg were enrolled as subjects. All pregnant women received antiviral treatment with LdT at the end of pregnancy to prevent perinatal transmission of HBV. All infants received standard combined immunoprophylaxis. Failure for prevention of perinatal transmission of HBV was defined as positive HBsAg or HBV DNA in infants 7 months of age (or at one month after the third injection of hepatitis B vaccine). Liver function, HBV DNA, and HBV serological markers were evaluated at baseline, after 1 month of treatment, before childbirth, and 1, 3, and 6 months after drug withdrawal. SPSS 16.0 software was used to analyze the data. Between-group comparison of continuous data was made by t test, and comparison of categorical data was made by chi-square test. RESULTS One hundred and four pregnant women (treatment group) received oral administration of 600 mg LdT once a day, and 25 pregnant women (observation group) did not receive any antiviral therapy. The success rate for the prevention of perinatal transmission was significantly higher in the treatment group than in the observation group (100% vs 89.47%, χ (2) = 9.862, P = 0.028). There was no significant difference in the incidence of ALT elevation during treatment and within 6 months after drug withdrawal between the treatment group and the observation group (4.81% (5/104) vs 4.00% (1/25), χ (2) = 0.030, P = 1.000). In the treatment group, the mean HBV DNA at baseline was significantly higher than that before childbirth (8.20±0.78 vs 3.98±0.90 log10IU/ml, t = 6.979, P < 0.001). One hundred patients with drug withdrawal had HBV DNA increased to 8.11±0.80 log10 IU/ml at one month after childbirth. CONCLUSION LdT treatment at the end of pregnancy can effectively reduce the incidence of perinatal transmission of HBV in pregnant women with high viremia in immune-tolerant phase. The immediate drug withdrawal after childbirth is safe for the mother. The incidence of hepatitis is low after drug withdrawal.

Abstract
Hollow ZnO microcolumns with size induced photoluminescence and cathodoluminescence properties were prepared by a thermal chemical vapor transport and condensation method. It was found that the luminescence emission could be confined in the nano-sized hollow core and the wavelength dependent light intensity could be influenced by the geometric structure of the ZnO microcolumn, which can act as a hollow optical waveguide. Based on the antiresonant reflection in the optical waveguide, we established a theoretical model to address the field enhancement in the hollow ZnO microcolumn, which systematically clarifies the influence of the geometric structure of the microcolumn on the field enhancement. We report for the first time, the enhanced emission of the near ultraviolet light (working wavelength of 385 nm) along the axial direction of the ZnO microcolumn. The corresponding microsized light emitter has also been obtained. Experiments agree well with both theoretical predictions and computer simulations based on the finite-difference time-domain method with perfectly matched layer boundary conditions. These findings provide valuable information for the application of ZnO micro- and nanostructures in optoelectronic devices.

Abstract
Breast cancer is the most common gynecologic tumor globally that threatens women's health. Lipoic acid is a type of antioxidant that can alleviate oxidative stress damage. Studies showed that lipoic acid could inhibit the proliferation of tumor cells in cervical cancer and colon cancer. This paper intends to explore the combined effect of lipoic acid and paclitaxel on breast cancer cells. Breast cancer MCF-7 cells were divided into four groups: control group, lipoic acid group, paclitaxel group, and a combination group. MTT was applied to detect the drugs' influence on breast cancer cell proliferation. A colony formation test was used to determine the effects on breast cancer cell clone formation rate. Western blot was performed to detect the effects on nuclear factor (NF)-κB. Lipoic acid alone can inhibit tumor cell proliferation and clone formation with time dependence. Compared with the control, paclitaxel alone can significantly suppress tumor cell proliferation and clone formation (P < 0.05). Lipoic acid and paclitaxel in combination obviously strengthened their individual inhibitory effects on tumor cells (P < 0.05). Compared with the paclitaxel alone group, the combination group exhibited more remarkable inhibitory effect (P < 0.05). Lipoic acid alone or combined with paclitaxel can inhibit NF-κB expression and inhibit breast cancer cell proliferation.

Abstract
We investigated the expression of S-phase kinase-associated protein 2 (SKP2) in breast cancer tissues, and the effects of SKP2-specific small interfering RNA (siRNA) interference on breast cancer cell proliferation. Thirty subjects provided breast cancer tissue samples and 18 subjects provided normal breast specimens for this study. The expression of SKP2 in breast cancer patient tissues and normal breast tissues was detected by western blotting analysis and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction. SKP2-specific siRNA was used to decrease SKP2 expression in breast cancer cell line MDA-MB-231. The 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay was used to detect cell proliferation. SKP2 expression in breast cancer tissues was significantly higher than in normal breast tissues (P < 0.05). Two pairs of siRNA specific to SKP2 were required to downregulate SKP2 expression in the breast cancer cell line MDA-MB-231. The MTT assay showed that MDA-MB-231 growth significantly slowed after SKP2 interference. Patients with breast cancer have an increased SKP2 level. Interference in SKP2 gene expression can inhibit breast cancer cell growth, suggesting that SKP2 is potentially a new target for breast cancer therapy.

Abstract
Two end-decorated homopolymers, methoxy polyethylene glycol-ferrocene (mPEG-Fc) and poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)-β-cyclodextrin (PNIPAM-β-CD), were further orthogonally self-assembled into stable micelles in aqueous solution by controlling the temperature of the solution via terminal host-guest interactions. Because of the H2O2 cleavable CD/Fc connection and thermoresponsive PNIPAM, an H2O2 and thermo dual-controlled drug release based on this system was also achieved. Interestingly, the cytotoxicity evaluation of mPEG-Fc/PNIPAM-β-CD indicated good biocompatibility. Compared with free doxorubicin, the doxorubicin-loaded supramolecular micelles exhibited equal cellular proliferation inhibition toward A549 cells. This supramolecular complex is thus anticipated to serve as a promising new type of alternative drug-delivery system.

TBX21 polymorphisms are associated with virus persistence in hepatitis C virus infection patients from a high-risk Chinese population. Eur J Clin Microbiol Infect Dis 2015; 34:1309-18. Abstract
Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is a major cause of chronic liver disease and the varied outcomes of the infection depend on both viral and host factors. We have demonstrated that the HCV alternate reading frame protein (F protein) is related to Th1/Th2 bias which is involved in virus persistence in chronic hepatitis C (CHC) patients. The purpose of this study was to test the hypothesis that genetic variants of TBX21 (T cell specific T-box transcription factor) were associated with the outcomes of HCV infection and F protein generation. Three single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) (rs17250932, rs2074190, rs4794067) in the TBX21 gene were genotyped in a case-control study in a cohort of a high-risk group, including 354 healthy controls and 747 CHC patients (190 anti-F protein antibody seronegative patients and 557 anti-F protein antibody seropositive patients). Results showed that the rs4794067 C allele in the TBX21 promoter was significantly more common in CHC patients (OR = 1.335, 95% CI = 1.058-1.684, P = 0.015), exceptionally in anti-F protein seropositive patients (OR = 1.547, 95% CI = 1.140-2.101, P = 0.005), compared with healthy controls. And the risk effect was also significantly high in patients with HCV 1b genotype and mild fibrosis (P = 0.021, P = 0.010, respectively). Compared with the most frequent haplotype TAT, haplotype analysis showed that the distribution of TAC was significantly different between the chronic HCV carrier group and the healthy group, and so was the anti-F antibody seronegativity group and the anti-F antibody seronegativity group (all P < 0.001). Our results suggested that TBX21 variants may be involved in the etiology of this disease.
