Abstract
PURPOSE To evaluate the long-term efficacy and safety of proprietary transperineal laser ablation (TPLA) of the prostate. MATERIALS AND METHODS Patients with symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia underwent TPLA with a 1064-nm continuous-wave diode laser. IPSS, QoL, PVR and prostate volume were evaluated at baseline and successive timepoints. RESULTS Forty prospectively enrolled patients had post-TPLA follow-up of ≥ 36 months. Median duration of follow-up was 56.5 months (range: 36-76 months). Compared with baseline, the median reduction in IPSS at 12-month follow-up was 74% (interquartile range [IQR]: 60-81%) (P < .001). Median QoL score at 12 months was improved from 5 (IQR: 4-5) at baseline to 1 (IQR: 0-1) (P < .001). Median PVR at 12 months decreased from 108 mL (IQR: 38-178 mL) to 13.5 mL (IQR: 0-40.5 mL) (P < .001), a median reduction of 88% (IQR: 61-100%). At 12 months, median prostate volume was significantly reduced from 66 mL (IQR: 48.5-86.5 mL) to 46 mL (IQR 36-65 mL) (P < .001), a median reduction of 32% (IQR: 21-45%). For all of these parameters, the benefit of TPLA persisted at last follow-up and all changes were statistically significant vs baseline. There were no intraoperative adverse events; perioperative adverse events consisted of one case of prostatitis and one case of urinary tract infection (both mild according to the modified SIR classification system). CONCLUSION TPLA for symptomatic BPH produced durable benefits across a range of clinical outcomes and was well tolerated in 56.5 months median duration follow-up.

Abstract
Dysfunction of the masseter muscle may cause pathological kinking of the parotid duct leading to parotitis; MR sialography is a non-invasive radiological examination that allows to evaluate dynamically the ductal system of the parotid glands. In the present study we aimed to assess the relationships between Stensen's duct and masseter muscle and their implications in the aetiopathogenesis of recurrent parotitis secondary to masseter muscle dysfunction. Forty-one patients with recurrent unilateral parotitis and nine with bilateral recurrent parotitis, all with a clinical suspicious of masseter muscle hypertrophy due to bruxism were enrolled. They underwent ultrasonography as a first line examination and then MR sialography and sialendoscopy. Different anatomical features were studied. Involved parotid glands had a wider duct compared to contralateral unaffected parotid glands of patients with recurrent parotitis (p = 0.00134); male subjects with parotitis had a longer duct compared to the salivary glands of healthy patients (p = 0.00943 for affected glands and p = 0.00629 for the contralateral). A concordance between the evidence of an acute duct angle during sialendoscopy and a wider duct in patients with parotitis was observed although not statistically significant. These initial findings suggest that the masticatory muscle dysfunction related to bruxism seems to condition alteration of parotid duct course and anatomy thus favouring the occurrence of recurrent parotitis. A specific diagnostic iter based on clinical evaluation, dynamic ultrasonography and MR sialography, is therefore, mandatory to confirm the relationship between masseter muscle anatomy and parotid duct anomalies; this is the premise for an adequate therapeutic approach to underlying masticatory muscle disorder.

Abstract
Background: Introduced in the latest BCLC 2022, endovascular trans-arterial radioembolization (TARE) has an important role in the treatment of unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) as a "bridge" or "downstaging" of disease. The evolution of TARE technology allows a more flexible and personalized target treatment, based on the anatomy and vascular characteristics of each HCC. The flex-dose delivery program is part of this perspective, which allows us to adjust the dose and its radio-embolizing power in relation to the size and type of cancer and to split the therapeutic dose of Y90 in different injections (split-bolus). Methods: From January 2020 to January 2022, we enrolled 19 patients affected by unresectable HCC and candidates for TARE treatment. Thirteen patients completed the treatment following the flex-dose delivery program. Response to treatment was assessed using the mRECIST criteria with CT performed 6 and 9 months after treatment. Two patients did not complete the radiological follow-up and were not included in this retrospective study. The final cohort of this study counts eleven patients. Results: According to mRECIST criteria, six months of follow-up were reported: five cases of complete response (CR, 45.4% of cases), four cases of partial response (PR, 36.4%), and two cases of progression disease (PD, 18.2%). Nine months follow-up reported five cases of complete response (CR, 45.4%), two cases of partial response (PR, 18.2%), and four cases of progression disease (PD, 36.4%). No intra and post-operative complications were described. The average absorbed doses to the hepatic lesion and to the healthy liver tissue were 319 Gy (range 133-447 Gy) and 9.5 Gy (range 2-19 Gy), respectively. Conclusions: The flex-dose delivery program represents a therapeutic protocol capable of "saving" portions of healthy liver parenchyma by designing a "custom-made" treatment for the patient.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Robot assisted partial nephrectomy (RAPN) and microwave ablation (MWA) are 2 of the most advanced techniques for the management of localized small renal masses. PURPOSE To compare the perioperative, functional and oncological results of RAPN and MWA. MATERIALS AND METHODS Data from 171 consecutive patients undergoing either RAPN or MWA for a localized small renal mass at a single academic center was retrospectively collected. Baseline features included patients' demographics and masses' characteristics. Procedures were compared in terms of perioperative outcomes and renal function variation Progression of a persistent lesion or local recurrence after a complete treatment defined local tumor progression. Descriptive statistics and survival analysis tested the association between predictors and local tumor progression. RESULTS Of all, 109 and 62 patients underwent RAPN and MWA. Patients in the MWA group were older (P = .002) had higher Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI) (P < .001) and higher frequency of preoperative chronic kidney disease (P < .001). MWA led to a shorter postoperative hospitalization time (P < .001) and lower incidence of medical complications (6.5% vs. 22.9%, P = .02) than RAPN. GFR decline was similar between groups both at discharge (P = .39) and at the time of last follow up (P = 1.00). A lower rate of secondary interventions (11.7% vs. 2.8%, P = .037) and a better disease-free survival (83.2% vs. 96.5%, P = .027) were reported after RAPN. Conversely, cancer specific and overall survival were comparable (P > .05). At univariate regression analysis, MWA was associated with local tumor progression (HR 3.46, P = .040). CONCLUSION MWA displayed a lower perioperative impact, while functional outcomes were similar after each intervention. RAPN resulted superior in terms of tumor eradication, but no difference was noted regarding cancer specific survival. Thus, MWA represents a valid alternative in frail patients, though less radical than RAPN.

Abstract
Breast cancer remains the most prevalent cancer among women worldwide, necessitating advancements in diagnostic methods. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into mammography has shown promise in enhancing diagnostic accuracy. However, understanding patient perspectives, particularly considering the psychological impact of breast cancer diagnoses, is crucial. This narrative review synthesizes literature from 2000 to 2023 to examine breast cancer patients' attitudes towards AI in breast imaging, focusing on trust, acceptance, and demographic influences on these views. Methodologically, we employed a systematic literature search across databases such as PubMed, Embase, Medline, and Scopus, selecting studies that provided insights into patients' perceptions of AI in diagnostics. Our review included a sample of seven key studies after rigorous screening, reflecting varied patient trust and acceptance levels towards AI. Overall, we found a clear preference among patients for AI to augment rather than replace the diagnostic process, emphasizing the necessity of radiologists' expertise in conjunction with AI to enhance decision-making accuracy. This paper highlights the importance of aligning AI implementation in clinical settings with patient needs and expectations, emphasizing the need for human interaction in healthcare. Our findings advocate for a model where AI augments the diagnostic process, underlining the necessity for educational efforts to mitigate concerns and enhance patient trust in AI-enhanced diagnostics.

Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) is an autosomal dominant condition caused by neurofibromin haploinsufficiency due to pathogenic variants in the NF1 gene. Tumor predisposition has long been associated with NF1, and an increased breast cancer (BC) incidence and reduced survival have been reported in recent years for women with NF1. As breast density is another known independent risk factor for BC, this study aims to evaluate the variability of breast density in patients with NF1 compared to the general population. Mammograms from 98 NF1 women affected by NF1, and enrolled onto our monocentric BC screening program, were compared with those from 300 healthy subjects to verify differences in breast density. Mammograms were independently reviewed and scored by a radiologist and using a Computer-Aided Detection (CAD) software. The comparison of breast density between NF1 patients and controls was performed through Chi-squared test and with multivariable ordinal logistic models adjusted for age, body mass index (BMI), number of pregnancies, and menopausal status.breast density was influenced by BMI and menopausal status in both NF1 patients and healthy subjects. No difference in breast density was observed between NF1 patients and the healthy female population, even after considering the potential confounding factors.Although NF1 and a highly fibroglandular breast are known risk factors of BC, in this study, NF1 patients were shown to have comparable breast density to healthy subjects. The presence of pathogenic variants in the NF1 gene does not influence the breast density value.

Abstract
PURPOSE To develop and evaluate a smartphone augmented reality (AR) system for a large 50-mm liver tumor ablation with treatment planning for composite overlapping ablation zones. MATERIALS AND METHODS A smartphone AR application was developed to display tumor, probe, projected probe paths, ablated zones, and real-time percentage of the ablated target tumor volume. Fiducial markers were attached to phantoms and an ablation probe hub for tracking. The system was evaluated with tissue-mimicking thermochromic phantoms and gel phantoms. Four interventional radiologists performed 2 trials each of 3 probe insertions per trial using AR guidance versus computed tomography (CT) guidance approaches in 2 gel phantoms. Insertion points and optimal probe paths were predetermined. On Gel Phantom 2, serial ablated zones were saved and continuously displayed after each probe placement/adjustment, enabling feedback and iterative planning. The percentages of tumor ablated for AR guidance versus CT guidance, and with versus without display of recorded ablated zones, were compared among interventional radiologists with pairwise t-tests. RESULTS The means of percentages of tumor ablated for CT freehand and AR guidance were 36% ± 7 and 47% ± 4 (P = .004), respectively. The mean composite percentages of tumor ablated for AR guidance were 43% ± 1 (without) and 50% ± 2 (with display of ablation zone) (P = .033). There was no strong correlation between AR-guided percentage of ablation and years of experience (r < 0.5), whereas there was a strong correlation between CT-guided percentage of ablation and years of experience (r > 0.9). CONCLUSIONS A smartphone AR guidance system for dynamic iterative large liver tumor ablation was accurate, performed better than conventional CT guidance, especially for less experienced interventional radiologists, and enhanced more standardized performance across experience levels for ablation of a 50-mm tumor.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study aims to evaluate the endoprosthesis complications in patients undergoing TEVAR for blunt traumatic thoracic aortic injury, through long-term clinical and diagnostic follow-up. METHODS During the study interval (November 2000-October 2020), a total of 38 patients (63% male; average age 37.5 years) with thoracic aortic injury underwent thoracic endovascular aortic repair. Patients underwent routine follow-up with clinical examination and radiological evaluation (CT-angiography or MRI-angiography plus chest radiograph), scheduled at 1 month, at 6 months (only in the cases of thoracic aortic dissection), at 1 year after the procedure and every 1 year thereafter. RESULTS Technical success was achieved in 38 procedures (100%). The TEVAR-related mortality rate was 0%. No immediate major complications related to the endovascular procedure were observed. The median duration of diagnostic follow-up was 80 months. A total of four procedure-related complications (10.5%) were identified at the follow-up. Three (7.9%) distal infoldings and collapses of the thoracic endoprosthesis and one (2.6%) type Ia endoleak were observed. No thrombosis of the prosthesis, nor signs of aortic pseudocoarctation were identified. No further complications related to endograft (endoleaks, infections, rupture, partial or complete thrombosis) occurred. No changes in the native aorta, stenosis, or increases in the endograft's diameters were observed. A total of 20 patients (52.6%) underwent MRI-angiography examinations, while a total of 34 patients (89.5%) underwent chest radiographs at the follow-up. In all cases, CT-angiography examinations were performed at the follow-up. CONCLUSIONS Procedure-related complications were observed within one year of TEVAR, limiting concerns related to the durability of the prosthesis. No morphological changes in the aorta were observed despite long-term follow-up. The consequences of lifelong surveillance in terms of radiation exposure deserve special consideration, especially in younger patients treated for TAI.

Abstract
BACKGROUND This retrospective multicentric study aims to report on technical safety and effectiveness of pseudoaneurysms embolization with glue (N-butyl cyanoacrylate) adopting a percutaneous direct puncture approach. RESULTS Fifty-four patients data were collected from five centers. All patients at the time of treatment presented with unruptured PAs and were hemodynamically stable. True aneurysms and lesions treated with embolics other than glue were excluded. Pseudoaneurysms diagnosis was based on CT and anamnestic data; initial investigation with digital-subtracted arteriography was acquired in all cases; then, percutaneous embolizations were performed in the angio-suite (ultrasound, fluoroscopy, ConeBeam CT guidance) or in CT. Technical success was considered as complete pseudoaneurysm embolization at final imaging with sole percutaneous strategy, without need for additional endovascular embolization. Clinical success was intended as pseudoaneurysm resolution within one week follow-up with stabilization or restored clinical conditions. Pseudoaneurysms origins were traumatic (57.4%), inflammatory (24.1%) or spontaneous (18.5%); 39 patients (72.2%) were symptomatic, presenting with pain and/or pulsatile mass. Mean lesions diameter was 19.3 mm (range: 7-30); pseudoaneurysms were located in abdomen (48.1%), limbs (42.6%) and thorax (9.3%). Coagulation function was impaired in 16.6% and 48.1% was under antiplatelets/anticoagulation therapy. In 16.6% the percutaneous approach followed previous treatments failure. The image-guidance modality for percutaneous puncture was most often ultrasound combined with fluoroscopy (38%). Clinical success was obtained in all patients while technical success occurred in 94.4% because 3 patients required an additional endovascular embolization. Complications were registered in 14.8%, all of low grade without clinical sequelae neither prolonged recovery (7 non target embolizations, 1 post-embolization syndrome). CONCLUSIONS In this study, pseudoaneurysms embolization with glue via percutaneous direct puncture was safe and effective with a low rate of minor complications.

Abstract
The aim of the article is to introduce a new term in post-procedural events related to the procedure itself. All the Societies and Councils report these events as complications and they are divided in mild, moderate and severe or immediate and delayed.On the other hand the term error is known as the application of a wrong plan, or strategy to achieve a goal.For the first time, we are trying to introduce the term "consequence"; assuming that the procedure is the only available and the best fit to clinical indication, a consequence should be seen as an expected and unavoidable occurrence of an "adverse event" despite correct technical execution.

Abstract
Lung cancer remains a global health challenge, leading to substantial morbidity and mortality. While prevention and early detection strategies have improved, the need for precise diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment remains crucial. In this comprehensive review article, we explore the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in reshaping the management of lung cancer. AI may have different potential applications in lung cancer characterization and outcome prediction. Manual segmentation is a time-consuming task, with high inter-observer variability, that can be replaced by AI-based approaches, including deep learning models such as U-Net, BCDU-Net, and others, to quantify lung nodules and cancers objectively and to extract radiomics features for the characterization of the tissue. AI models have also demonstrated their ability to predict treatment responses, such as immunotherapy and targeted therapy, by integrating radiomic features with clinical data. Additionally, AI-based prognostic models have been developed to identify patients at higher risk and personalize treatment strategies. In conclusion, this review article provides a comprehensive overview of the current state of AI applications in lung cancer management, spanning from segmentation and virtual biopsy to outcome prediction. The evolving role of AI in improving the precision and effectiveness of lung cancer diagnosis and treatment underscores its potential to significantly impact clinical practice and patient outcomes.

Abstract
The introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) represents an actual revolution in the radiological field, including bone lesion imaging. Bone lesions are often detected both in healthy and oncological patients and the differential diagnosis can be challenging but decisive, because it affects the diagnostic and therapeutic process, especially in case of metastases. Several studies have already demonstrated how the integration of AI-based tools in the current clinical workflow could bring benefits to patients and to healthcare workers. AI technologies could help radiologists in early bone metastases detection, increasing the diagnostic accuracy and reducing the overdiagnosis and the number of unnecessary deeper investigations. In addition, radiomics and radiogenomics approaches could go beyond the qualitative features, visible to the human eyes, extrapolating cancer genomic and behavior information from imaging, in order to plan a targeted and personalized treatment. In this article, we want to provide a comprehensive summary of the most promising AI applications in bone metastasis imaging and their role from diagnosis to treatment and prognosis, including the analysis of future challenges and new perspectives.

Abstract
Liver lesions, including both benign and malignant tumors, pose significant challenges in interventional radiological treatment planning and prognostication. The emerging field of artificial intelligence (AI) and its integration with texture analysis techniques have shown promising potential in predicting treatment outcomes, enhancing precision, and aiding clinical decision-making. This comprehensive review aims to summarize the current state-of-the-art research on the application of AI and texture analysis in determining treatment response, recurrence rates, and overall survival outcomes for patients undergoing interventional radiological treatment for liver lesions. Furthermore, the review addresses the challenges associated with the implementation of AI and texture analysis in clinical practice, including data acquisition, standardization of imaging protocols, and model validation. Future directions and potential advancements in this field are discussed. Integration of multi-modal imaging data, incorporation of genomics and clinical data, and the development of predictive models with enhanced interpretability are proposed as potential avenues for further research. In conclusion, the application of AI and texture analysis in predicting outcomes of interventional radiological treatment for liver lesions shows great promise in augmenting clinical decision-making and improving patient care. By leveraging these technologies, clinicians can potentially enhance treatment planning, optimize intervention strategies, and ultimately improve patient outcomes in the management of liver lesions.

Abstract
Radiomics, the extraction and analysis of quantitative features from medical images, has emerged as a promising field in radiology with the potential to revolutionize the diagnosis and management of renal lesions. This comprehensive review explores the radiomics workflow, including image acquisition, feature extraction, selection, and classification, and highlights its application in differentiating between benign and malignant renal lesions. The integration of radiomics with artificial intelligence (AI) techniques, such as machine learning and deep learning, can help patients' management and allow the planning of the appropriate treatments. AI models have shown remarkable accuracy in predicting tumor aggressiveness, treatment response, and patient outcomes. This review provides insights into the current state of radiomics and AI in renal lesion assessment and outlines future directions for research in this rapidly evolving field.

Abstract
Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a cancer with one of the highest mortality rates in the world. Several studies have been conductedusing preclinical experiments in mice to find new therapeutic strategies. Experimental ultrasound, in expert hands, is a safe, multifaceted, and relatively not-expensive device that helps researchers in several ways. In this systematic review, we propose a summary of the applications of ultrasonography in a preclinical mouse model of PDAC. Eighty-eight studies met our inclusion criteria. The included studies could be divided into seven main topics: ultrasound in pancreatic cancer diagnosis and progression (n: 21); dynamic contrast-enhanced ultrasound (DCE-US) (n: 5); microbubble ultra-sound-mediated drug delivery; focused ultrasound (n: 23); sonodynamic therapy (SDT) (n: 7); harmonic motion elastography (HME) and shear wave elastography (SWE) (n: 6); ultrasound-guided procedures (n: 9). In six cases, the articles fit into two or more sections. In conclusion, ultrasound can be a really useful, eclectic, and ductile tool in different diagnostic areas, not only regarding diagnosis but also in therapy, pharmacological and interventional treatment, and follow-up. All these multiple possibilities of use certainly represent a good starting point for the effective and wide use of murine ultrasonography in the study and comprehensive evaluation of pancreatic cancer.

Abstract
PURPOSE to evaluate the clinical impact of a protocol for the image-guided percutaneous microwave ablation (MWA) of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) that includes cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), fusion imaging and ablation volume prediction in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma unsuitable for standard ultrasound (US) guidance. MATERIALS AND METHODS this study included all patients with HCC treated with MWA between January 2021 and June 2022 in a tertiary institution. Patients were divided into two groups: Group A, treated following the protocol, and Group B, treated with standard ultrasound (US) guidance. Follow-up images were reviewed to assess residual disease (RD), local tumor progression (LTP) and intrahepatic distant recurrence (IDR). Ablation response at 1 month was also evaluated according to mRECIST. Baseline variables and outcomes were compared between the groups. For 1-month RD, propensity score weighting (PSW) was performed. RESULTS 80 consecutive patients with 101 HCCs treated with MWA were divided into two groups. Group A had 41 HCCs in 37 patients, and Group B had 60 HCCs in 43 patients. Among all baseline variables, the groups differed regarding their age (mean of 72 years in Group A and 64 years in Group B, respectively), new vs. residual tumor rates (48% Group A vs. 25% Group B, p < 0.05) and number of subcapsular tumors (56.7% Group B vs. 31.7% Group A, p < 0.05) and perivascular tumors (51.7% Group B vs. 17.1% Group A, p < 0.05). The protocol led to repositioning the antenna in 49% of cases. There was a significant difference in 1-month local response between the groups measured as the RD rate and mRECIST outcomes. LTP rates at 3 and 6 months, and IDR rates at 1, 3 and 6 months, showed no significant differences. Among all variables, logistic regression after PSW demonstrated a protective effect of the protocol against 1-month RD. CONCLUSIONS The use of CBCT, fusion imaging and ablation volume prediction during percutaneous MWA of HCCs provided a better 1-month tumor local control. Further studies with a larger population and longer follow-up are needed.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM) are nowadays used in breast imaging but studies about their inter-reader agreement are lacking. Therefore, we compared the inter-reader agreement of CEM and MRI in breast cancer diagnosis in the same patients. METHODS Breast MRI and CEM exams performed in a single center (09/2020-09/2021) for an IRB-approved study were retrospectively and independently evaluated by four radiologists of two different centers with different levels of experience who were blinded to the clinical and other imaging data. The reference standard was the histological diagnosis or at least 1-year negative imaging follow-up. Inter-reader agreement was examined using Cohen's and Fleiss' kappa (κ) statistics and compared with the Wald test. RESULTS Of the 750 patients, 395 met inclusion criteria (44.5 ± 14 years old), with 752 breasts available for CEM and MRI. Overall agreement was moderate (κ = 0.60) for MRI and substantial (κ = 0.74) for CEM. For expert readers, the agreement was substantial (κ = 0.77) for MRI and almost perfect (κ = 0.82) for CEM; for non-expert readers was fair (κ = 0.39); and for MRI and moderate (κ = 0.57) for CEM. Pairwise agreement between expert readers and non-expert readers was moderate (κ = 0.50) for breast MRI and substantial (κ = 0.74) for CEM and it showed a statistically superior agreement of the expert over the non-expert readers only for MRI (p = 0.011) and not for CEM (p = 0.062). CONCLUSIONS The agreement of CEM was superior to that of MRI (p = 0.012), including for both expert (p = 0.031) and non-expert readers (p = 0.005).

Abstract
Chronic mesenteric ischemia (CMI) arises from the inability to achieve adequate intestinal blood flow after meals, leading to an imbalance between oxygen and metabolite supply and demand. The true incidence of CMI remains uncertain. However, the occurrence of mesenteric artery occlusive disease (MAOD) is relatively common among the elderly population. Delays in diagnosing CMI can often be attributed to several factors, including the variability in patient symptoms and the range of potential causes for chronic abdominal pain with weight loss. Mikkelson pioneered the introduction of a surgical treatment for occlusive lesions of the superior mesenteric artery (SMA) in 1957. The inaugural performance of endovascular revascularization (ER) for visceral vessels took place in 1980. The literature has documented two types of endovascular revascularization (ER) methods: percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) and primary stenting (PMAS). Despite the limited quality of available evidence, the consensus among experts is strongly in favor of PMAS over PTA alone for the treatment of atherosclerotic mesenteric artery stenosis. There are several key areas of focus for chronic mesenteric ischemia (CMI) treatment. Randomized controlled trials comparing different stent types, such as covered stents versus bare metal stents, are needed to evaluate efficacy, patency rates, and long-term outcomes in CMI patients.

Abstract
PURPOSE The present study aims to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of the anti-reflux microcatheter during DEB-TACE with DC Bead LUMITM (radiopaque beads) for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). METHODS We performed an observational longitudinal prospective monocentric study to analyze all patients with HCC who underwent to DEB-TACE with DC Bead LUMITM and anti-reflux microcatheter. Technical success, the presence of residual disease, and clinical success were evaluated. The performance of the anti-reflux microcatheter on the basis of the percentage of tumor covered and the non-target embolization (NTE) was also evaluated. RESULTS Twenty patients underwent DEB-TACE with DC Bead LUMITM and an anti-reflux microcatheter. Technical success was achieved in all cases. Residual disease in the target tumor was observed in 11/20 (55%) of cases and no residual disease was found in 9/20 (45%) of cases. The clinical response at 1-month follow-up was of PD 4/20 (20%), SD 7/20 (35%), and CR 9/20 (45%). No major complications were recorded, and 10% of cases had minor complications. The distribution of beads on post-procedural CBCT, classified according to the percentage of target nodule coverage, was ≥50% in 70% (14/20) of cases and between 30-50% in 30% of cases (6/20). NTE was never registered.

Abstract
Standardized radiological reports stimulate debate in the medical imaging field. This review paper explores the advantages and challenges of standardized reporting. Standardized reporting can offer improved clarity and efficiency of communication among radiologists and the multidisciplinary team. However, challenges include limited flexibility, initially increased time and effort, and potential user experience issues. The efforts toward standardization are examined, encompassing the establishment of reporting templates, use of common imaging lexicons, and integration of clinical decision support tools. Recent technological advancements, including multimedia-enhanced reporting and AI-driven solutions, are discussed for their potential to improve the standardization process. Organizations such as the ACR, ESUR, RSNA, and ESR have developed standardized reporting systems, templates, and platforms to promote uniformity and collaboration. However, challenges remain in terms of workflow adjustments, language and format variability, and the need for validation. The review concludes by presenting a set of ten essential rules for creating standardized radiology reports, emphasizing clarity, consistency, and adherence to structured formats.

Abstract
Despite the advances made in treatment, the prognosis of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) remains dismal, even in the locoregional and locally advanced stages, with high relapse rates after surgery. PDAC exhibits a chemoresistant and immunosuppressive phenotype, and the tumor microenvironment (TME) surrounding cancer cells actively participates in creating a stromal barrier to chemotherapy and an immunosuppressive environment. Recently, there has been an increasing use of interventional radiology techniques for the treatment of PDAC, although they do not represent a standard of care and are not included in clinical guidelines. Local approaches such as radiation therapy, hyperthermia, microwave or radiofrequency ablation, irreversible electroporation and high-intensity focused ultrasound exert their action on the tumor tissue, altering the composition and structure of TME and potentially enhancing the action of chemotherapy. Moreover, their action can increase antigen release and presentation with T-cell activation and reduction tumor-induced immune suppression. This review summarizes the current evidence on locoregional therapies in PDAC and their effect on remodeling TME to make it more susceptible to the action of antitumor agents.

Abstract
Percutaneous image-guided thermal ablation is included in most society guidelines for treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The results of this treatment in terms of efficacy depend on the ability to precisely place the device into the target tumor. Ultrasound (US) is a commonly used imaging guidance modality for its real-time feedback. However, an accurate device deployment remains challenging in some clinical scenarios, including cases of tumors that are undetectable or not clearly visible by US. To overcome this problem, fusion imaging techniques have been developed, which combine images from different modalities. The most widely known technique combines pre-procedural contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with real-time US scans. Cone beam CT (CBCT) is a technology that can provide intra-procedural cross-sectional images, which can be registered to images from other modalities, including preprocedural CT/MR scans. The aim of our study is to report the preliminary experience on percutaneous microwave ablation (MWA) of patients with HCC that were treated using the "double fusion" technique, which combines the use of US fusion imaging and CBCT fusion imaging. We describe the technical details, feasibility, safety and short-term efficacy of this technique in a small series of eight patients with 11 HCCs.

Abstract
AIM The aim of this prospective, multicentre, observational study was to compare the efficacy and safety of balloon-based and non-balloon-based vascular closure devices (VCDs). MATERIALS AND METHODS From March 2021 to May 2022, 2373 participants from 10 different centres were enrolled. Among them, 1672 patients with 5-7 Fr accesses were selected. Successful haemostasis, failure and safety were evaluated. Successful haemostasis was defined as the possibility to obtain complete haemostasis with the use of VCDs, without any complication. Failure management was defined as the need of manual compression. Safety was defined as the rate of complications. Cases of haematomas/pseudoaneurysms (PSA) and artero-venous fistula (AVF) were collected. RESULTS VCDs mechanism of action is statistically significant associated with the outcome. Non-balloon-based VCDs demonstrated a statistically significant better outcome: successful haemostasis was obtained in 96.5% vs. 85.9%, of cases when compared to balloon occluders (p < 0.001). The incidence of AVF was statistically more frequent using non-balloon occluders devices (1.57% vs 0%, p: 0.007). No significant statistical difference was found in comparing haematoma and PSA occurrence. Thrombocytopenia, coagulation deficit, BMI, diabetes mellitus and anti-coagulation were demonstrated to be independent predictors of failure management. CONCLUSION Our study suggests a better outcome with the same complication rate, except that for AVF incidence for non-balloon collagen plug device if compared to balloon occluders vascular closure devices.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the safety and efficacy of computed tomography-guided percutaneous radiofrequency ablation (PRFA) in the management of uncommon and technically challenging intra-articular osteoid osteoma in children. MATERIAL AND METHODS From December 2018 to September 2022, 16 children with intra-articular osteoid osteoma, including ten boys and six girls, were treated at two tertiary centers with percutaneous CT-guided RF ablation using a straight monopolar electrode. The procedures were carried out under general anesthesia. Post-procedural clinical outcomes and adverse events were assessed through clinical follow-up. RESULTS Technical success was achieved in all of the participating patients. Clinical success with relief of symptomatology throughout the period of follow-up was achieved in 100% of the patients. No persistence or recurrence of pain occurred during the follow-up period. No immediate or delayed adverse effects were observed. CONCLUSION PRFA is shown to be technically feasible. Clinical improvement can be achieved with a high rate of success in the treatment of children with difficult-to-treat intra-articular osteoid osteomas.

Abstract
"Acute venous problems" refers to a group of disorders that affect the veins and result in sudden and severe symptoms. They can be classified based on the pathological triggering mechanisms, such as thrombosis and/or mechanical compression, and their consequences, including symptoms, signs, and complications. The management and therapeutic approach depend on the severity of the disease, the location, and the involvement of the vein segment. Although summarizing these conditions can be challenging, the objective of this narrative review was to provide an overview of the most common acute venous problems. This will include an exhaustive yet concise and practical description of each condition. The multidisciplinary approach remains one of the major advantages in dealing with these conditions, maximizing the results and the prevention of complications.

Abstract
Endovascular embolization of bleeding vessels in trauma and non-trauma patients is frequently used and is an important tool for bleeding control. It is included in the EVTM (endovascular resuscitation and trauma management) concept and its use in patients with hemodynamic instability is increasing. When the correct embolization tool is chosen, a dedicated multidisciplinary team can rapidly and effectively achieve bleeding control. In this article, we will describe the current use and possibilities for embolization of major hemorrhage (traumatic and non-traumatic) and the published data supporting these techniques as part of the EVTM concept.

Abstract
The purpose of this bicentric case series was to report the safety, efficacy, and clinical outcome of transcatheter embolization in pulmonary artery pseudoaneurysms (PAPAs). Between January 2016 and June 2021, eight patients with PAPA were subjected to transcatheter embolization. The total number of patients was eight, of which five were female, with a mean age of 62 ± 14 years (average ± standard deviation). Etiology was traumatic in 2/8 cases and iatrogenic in 6/8 cases (after positioning a Swan-Ganz catheter in 5/6 cases and a temporary pacemaker in the latter case). In a single case, the PAPA was incidentally discovered during a routine X-ray, in the remaining 7 cases, the procedure was performed in emergency settings. PAPA embolization was performed using detachable coils alone in 3 cases; coils and glue in 1 case; coils, glue, and vascular plug in 1 case; coils and non-adhesive liquid embolic agents (Onyx and Squid respectively) in 2 cases; and non-adhesive liquid embolic agent alone (Onyx) in 1 case. No peri-procedural or post-procedural complications were recorded. Both the technical and clinical success rates were 100.0%. In conclusion, endovascular embolization is a technically feasible and safe therapeutic option for patients with PAPAs.

Abstract
Computed Tomography Urography (CTU) is a multiphase CT examination optimized for imaging kidneys, ureters, and bladder, complemented by post-contrast excretory phase imaging. Different protocols are available for contrast administration and image acquisition and timing, with different strengths and limits, mainly related to kidney enhancement, ureters distension and opacification, and radiation exposure. The availability of new reconstruction algorithms, such as iterative and deep-learning-based reconstruction has dramatically improved the image quality and reducing radiation exposure at the same time. Dual-Energy Computed Tomography also has an important role in this type of examination, with the possibility of renal stone characterization, the availability of synthetic unenhanced phases to reduce radiation dose, and the availability of iodine maps for a better interpretation of renal masses. We also describe the new artificial intelligence applications for CTU, focusing on radiomics to predict tumor grading and patients' outcome for a personalized therapeutic approach. In this narrative review, we provide a comprehensive overview of CTU from the traditional to the newest acquisition techniques and reconstruction algorithms, and the possibility of advanced imaging interpretation to provide an up-to-date guide for radiologists who want to better comprehend this technique.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES The aim of the present systematic review and meta-analysis is to assess the accuracy of automated landmarking using deep learning in comparison with manual tracing for cephalometric analysis of 3D medical images. METHODS PubMed/Medline, IEEE Xplore, Scopus and ArXiv electronic databases were searched. Selection criteria were: ex vivo and in vivo volumetric data images suitable for 3D landmarking (Problem), a minimum of five automated landmarking performed by deep learning method (Intervention), manual landmarking (Comparison), and mean accuracy, in mm, between manual and automated landmarking (Outcome). QUADAS-2 was adapted for quality analysis. Meta-analysis was performed on studies that reported as outcome mean values and standard deviation of the difference (error) between manual and automated landmarking. Linear regression plots were used to analyze correlations between mean accuracy and year of publication. RESULTS The initial electronic screening yielded 252 papers published between 2020 and 2022. A total of 15 studies were included for the qualitative synthesis, whereas 11 studies were used for the meta-analysis. Overall random effect model revealed a mean value of 2.44 mm, with a high heterogeneity (I2 = 98.13%, τ2 = 1.018, p-value < 0.001); risk of bias was high due to the presence of issues for several domains per study. Meta-regression indicated a significant relation between mean error and year of publication (p value = 0.012). CONCLUSION Deep learning algorithms showed an excellent accuracy for automated 3D cephalometric landmarking. In the last two years promising algorithms have been developed and improvements in landmarks annotation accuracy have been done.

Abstract
Thermal ablation is a minimally invasive technology used to treat many types of tumors, including lung cancer. Specifically, lung ablation has been increasingly performed for unsurgical fit patients with both early-stage primi-tive lung cancer and pulmonary metastases. Image-guided available techniques include radiofrequency ablation, microwave ablation, cryoablation, laser ablation and irreversible electroporation. Aim of this review is to illustrate the major thermal ablation modalities, their indications and contraindications, complications, outcomes and notably the possible future challenges.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The distal radial artery has emerged as an alternative vascular-access site to conventional transfemoral and transradial approaches. The main advantage over the conventional transradial route is the reduced risk of radial artery occlusion, especially in those patients who, for various clinical reasons, have to undergo repeated endovascular procedures. This study aims to assess the efficacy and safety of distal radial access for transcatheter arterial chemoembolization of the liver. METHODS This investigation is a single-center retrospective analysis of 42 consecutive patients who had undergone, from January 2018 to December 2022, transcatheter arterial chemoembolization of the liver with distal radial access for intermediate-stage hepatocellular carcinoma. Outcome data were compared with a retrospectively constituted control group of 40 patients undergoing drug-eluting beads-transcatheter arterial chemoembolization with femoral access. RESULTS Technical success was achieved in all cases, with a 2.4% conversion rate for distal radial access. A superselective chemoembolization was performed in 35 (83.3%) cases of distal radial access. No episode of radial artery spasm or radial artery occlusion occurred. No significant differences in efficacy and safety were observed between the distal radial access group and the femoral access group. CONCLUSIONS Distal radial access is effective, safe, and comparable to femoral access in patients undergoing transcatheter arterial chemoembolization of the liver.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The pressure cooker technique (PCT) was developed to enable safer and more extensive embolization of hypervascular lesions by simultaneously minimizing backflow of liquid embolic materials and thus reduce the risk of non-target embolization of adjacent healthy vessels. We report our experience in applying the PCT to cerebral arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) and dural arteriovenous fistulas (DAVFs) and additionally suggest our technical adjustments. METHODS We retrospectively reviewed all patients suffering from AVMs or DAVFs that were treated with the PCT between 2018 and 2020 in two university hospitals. The endpoints of the study were clinical safety and the technical efficacy. The endpoints of the study were clinical safety and the technical efficacy. Clinical safety was the absence of death, major or minor symptomatic stroke, TIA and procedure-related intracranial bleeding (SAH) in the peri-procedural period until dismission. Good clinical outcome was defined as no deterioration of the modified Rankin Scale (mRS) score (comparing the pre- and post-procedural mRS evaluated by a trained neurologist at admission and dismission). The technical efficacy was considered as the complete embolization occlusion of the target vessels of the lesion documented on the final control angiogram. Long-term follow-up evaluation was not intended for this study as it was not available for all patients. RESULTS Fifteen consecutive patients (6 women; mean age 55 y; range 20-82 y) with seven AVMs and eight DAVFs met the inclusion criteria. The primary clinical safety end point was obtained in all cases as no intraprocedural complications were encountered. All patients had a good clinical outcome with no difference between the pre- and post-mRS scores. The primary efficacy end point was reached in all cases. CONCLUSION The PCT is a safe and effective technique in the treatment of cerebral AVMs and DAVFs. Adding an easy and fast step to the procedure, namely the injection of contrast media to test the complete obstruction by the plug, the risk of reflux seems to additionally be reduced.

Abstract
Recent technological advances in the field of artificial intelligence hold promise in addressing medical challenges in breast cancer care, such as early diagnosis, cancer subtype determination and molecular profiling, prediction of lymph node metastases, and prognostication of treatment response and probability of recurrence. Radiomics is a quantitative approach to medical imaging, which aims to enhance the existing data available to clinicians by means of advanced mathematical analysis using artificial intelligence. Various published studies from different fields in imaging have highlighted the potential of radiomics to enhance clinical decision making. In this review, we describe the evolution of AI in breast imaging and its frontiers, focusing on handcrafted and deep learning radiomics. We present a typical workflow of a radiomics analysis and a practical "how-to" guide. Finally, we summarize the methodology and implementation of radiomics in breast cancer, based on the most recent scientific literature to help researchers and clinicians gain fundamental knowledge of this emerging technology. Alongside this, we discuss the current limitations of radiomics and challenges of integration into clinical practice with conceptual consistency, data curation, technical reproducibility, adequate accuracy, and clinical translation. The incorporation of radiomics with clinical, histopathological, and genomic information will enable physicians to move forward to a higher level of personalized management of patients with breast cancer.

Abstract
Background: Visceral pseudoaneurysms (PSAs) are usually treated endovascularly. No official guidelines existregarding the correct management when this management option fails. The aim of this study is to assess the efficacyand safety of percutaneous imaging guided puncture of visceral PSAs in patients where intra-arterial embolizationwas unsuccessful or unfeasible.Methods: Five patients with visceral artery pseudoaneurysms (VAPAs) were enrolled in the study. The diagnosis wasmade using a 64-slice multi-detector computed tomography (MDCT) scanner and all patients were previously consideredunsuitable for the procedure or underwent the procedure unsuccessfully; all patients had anemia with hemoglobinloss greater than 2 g/dL in the last 24 hours. A 22-gauge Chiba needle was used to get percutaneous access to thelesion, where N-butyl cyanoacrylate (NBCA) and lipiodol or coils and onyx were subsequently injected.Results: Four patients received a mixture of NBCA and lipiodol in a 1:2 ratio (80%, n = 4), and only one participantreceived coils and onyx. Primary clinical success was 100% and embolization was not repeated in any cases. Nolife-threatening secondary conditions or major complications were observed throughout the follow-up period; in onepatient an asymptomatic embolic agent migration was reported. Secondary clinical success was also obtained in thecurrent study. None of the remaining four participants experienced re-bleeding episodes or any procedure-relatedproblems.Conclusions: Percutaneous embolization of visceral PSAs is a safe and effective treatment alternative that should beconsidered when the trans-arterial method cannot be used.

Abstract
Introduction: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the diagnostic value of positron emission computed tomography-cone beam computed tomography (PET/CT-CBCT) fusion guided percutaneous biopsy, targeted to the maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax) and minimum standardized uptake value (SUVmin) of large lung lesions. Materials and Methods: Inside a larger cohort of PET/CT-CBCT guided percutaneous lung biopsies, 10 patients with large pulmonary lesions (diameter > 30 mm) were selected retrospectively. These patients have been subjected to double biopsy sampling respectively in the SUVmax area and in the SUVmin area of the lesion. Technical success has been calculated. For each sample, the percentage of neoplastic, inflammatory, and fibrotic cells was reported. Furthermore, the possibility of performing immunohistochemical or molecular biology investigations to specifically define the biomolecular tumor profile was analyzed. Results: Nine lesions were found to be malignant, one benign (inflammation). Technical success was 100% (10/10) in the SUVmax samples and 70% (7/10) in the SUVmin samples (P-value: .21). In the first group, higher percentages of neoplastic cells were found at pathologic evaluation, while in the second group areas of inflammation and fibrosis were more represented. The biomolecular profile was obtained in 100% of cases (9/9) of the first group, while in the second group only in 33.3% of cases (2/6), with a statistically significant difference between the 2 groups (P-value: .011). Conclusion: A correlation between the standardized uptake value value and the technical success of the biopsy sample has been identified. PET/CT-CBCT guidance allows to target the biopsy in the areas of the tumor which are richer in neoplastic cells, thus obtaining more useful information for the planning of patient-tailored cancer treatments.

Abstract
PURPOSE Percutaneous ablative treatments in the kidney are now standard options for local cancer therapy. Multimodality image guidance, combining two 3D image sets, may improve procedural images and interventional strategies. We aimed to assess the value of intra-procedural cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) with magnetic resonance (MR) or CT imaging fusion technique in the guidance of percutaneous microwave ablation (MWA) of renal neoplasms. MATERIALS AND METHODS Fifteen patients (eight males, seven females, median age 65 years, median lesion size 20 mm) underwent percutaneous MWA for 15 renal tumors. All the procedures were performed in a dedicated angiography room setting; CBCT ablation planning capabilities included multimodality image fusion. Preoperative contrast-enhanced CT was available in 12 patients, whereas magnetic resonance imaging in the remaining. All patients were considered inoperable due to comorbidities, advanced age, and/or refusal to undergo surgery. Exclusion criteria were: tumors visible at unenhanced CBCT, metastatic disease, and uncorrected coagulopathy. Technical success and technical effectiveness were calculated. Procedural time, complications and recurrences were registered. RESULTS MWA under CBCT-guidance with fusion technique was technically successful in 14 out of 15 cases (93%). The median procedural time was 45 min. No procedure-related complications were reported. No enhancing tissue was visualized in the area of ablation at 1-month follow-up. All 15 cases were recurrence-free at last follow-up assessment (median follow-up of 12 months); no cancer-specific deaths were registered. CONCLUSION CBCT-CT/MR image fusion is technically feasible and safe in achieving correct targeting and complete ablation of renal lesions. This approach bears the potential to overcome most of the limitations of unenhanced CBCT guidance alone; larger series are needed to validate this technique.

Abstract
This review is a brief overview of the current status and the potential role of robotics in interventional radiology. Literature published in the last decades, with an emphasis on the last 5 years, was reviewed and the technical developments in robotics and navigational systems using CT-, MR- and US-image guidance were analyzed. Potential benefits and disadvantages of their current and future use were evaluated. The role of fusion imaging modalities and artificial intelligence was analyzed in both percutaneous and endovascular procedures. A few hundred articles describing results of single or several systems were included in our analysis.

Abstract
Tumor ablation is included in several major cancer therapy guidelines. One technical challenge of percutaneous ablation is targeting and verification of complete treatment, which is prone to operator variabilities and human imperfections and are directly related to successful outcomes, risk for residual unablated tumor and local progression. The use of "Prediction Ablation Volume Software" may help the operating Interventional Radiologist to better plan, deliver, and verify before the ablation, via virtual treatment zones fused to target tumor. Fused and superimposed images provide 3-dimensional information from different timepoints, just when that information is most useful. The aim of this study is to evaluate the technical success and efficacy of an ablation treatment flowchart provided by a cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) "Prediction Ablation Volume Software." This is a single-center retrospective study. From April 2021 to January 2022, 29 nonconsecutive evaluable patients with 32 lesions underwent liver ablation with Prediction Ablation Volume Software. Each patient was discussed in a multidisciplinary tumor board and underwent an enhanced computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging approximately 1 month before the procedure, as well as ∼1 month after. Technical success was defined as treatment of the tumor according to the protocol, covered completely by the Prediction Ablation Volume. Technical efficacy was defined as assessment of complete ablation of the target tumor at imaging follow up (∼1 month). Technical success, technical efficacy, and procedural factors were studied. Technical success was achieved in 30 of 32 liver lesions (94%), measuring 20 mm mean maximum diameter. The antenna was repositioned in 16 of 30 (53%) evaluable target lesions. Residual tumor was detected at 1 month imaging follow up in only 4 of 30 (13%) of the treated lesion. Technical efficacy was of 87% in this retrospective description of our process. The implementation of a CBCT Prediction Ablation Volume Software and flowchart for the treatment of liver malignancies altered the procedure, and demonstrated high technical success and efficacy. Such tools are potentially useful for procedural prediction and verification of ablation.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The aim of this study is to evaluate the feasibility, safety, and short-term effectiveness of a high-power (150 W) microwave ablation (MWA) device for tumor ablation in the lung, liver, and kidney. METHODS Between December 2021 and June 2022, patients underwent high-power MWA for liver, lung, and kidney tumors. A retrospective observational study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. The MWA system utilized a 150-W, 2.45-GHz microwave generator (Emprint™ HP Ablation System, Medtronic). The study assessed technical success, safety, and effectiveness, considering pre- and post-treatment diameter and volume, lesion location, biopsy and/or cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) usage, MWA ablation time, MWA power, and dose-area product (DAP). RESULTS From December 2021 to June 2022, 16 patients were enrolled for high-power MWA. Treated lesions included hepatocellular carcinoma (10), liver metastasis from colon cancer (1), liver metastasis from pancreatic cancer (1), squamous cell lung carcinoma (2), renal cell carcinoma (1), and renal oncocytoma (1). Technical success rate was 100%. One grade 1 complication (6.25%) was reported according to CIRSE classification. Overall effectiveness was 92.8%. Pre- and post-treatment mean diameters for liver lesions were 19.9 mm and 37.5 mm, respectively; for kidney lesions, 34 mm and 35 mm; for lung lesions, 29.5 mm and 31.5 mm. Pre- and post-treatment mean volumes for liver lesions were 3.4 ml and 24 ml, respectively; for kidney lesions, 8.2 ml and 20.5 ml; for lung lesions, 10.2 ml and 32.7 ml. The mean ablation time was 48 minutes for liver, 42.5 minutes for lung, and 42.5 minutes for renal ablation. The mean DAP for all procedures was 40.83 Gcm2. CONCLUSION This preliminary study demonstrates the feasibility, safety, and effectiveness of the new 150 W MWA device. Additionally, it shows reduced ablation times for large lesions.

Abstract
Breast cancer (BC) is the most frequently diagnosed malignancy among women. In the past two decades, new technologies and BC screening have led to the diagnosis of smaller and earlier-stage BC (ESBC). Therefore, percutaneous minimally invasive techniques (PMIT) were adopted to treat patients unfit for surgery, women who refuse it, or elderly patients with comorbidities that could make surgery a difficult and life-threatening treatment. The target of PMIT is small-size ESBC with the scope of obtaining similar efficacy as surgery. Minimally invasive treatments are convenient alternatives with promising effectiveness, lower morbidity, less cost, less scarring and pain, and more satisfying cosmetic results. Ablative techniques used in BC are cryoablation, radiofrequency ablation, microwave ablation, high-intensity focused ultrasound (US), and laser ablation. The aim of our study is to discuss the current status of percutaneous management of BC, evaluate the clinical outcomes of PMIT in BC, and analyze future perspectives regarding ablation therapy in BC.

Abstract
Review efficacy and safety of minimally-invasive treatments for Low Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) in patients affected by Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH). We performed a systematic review of the literature from 1993 to 2022 leveraging original research articles, reviews, and case-studies published in peer-reviewed journals and stored in public repositories. Prostate artery embolization (PAE), transurethral needle ablation (TUNA), transurethral microwave thermotherapy (TUMT), high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), laser treatments and Cryoablation are valid and safe alternatives to the gold standard (surgery) in the treatment of LUTS in patients affected by BPH, with fewer undesired effects being reported.

Abstract
PURPOSE The aim of this study was to describe the safety and efficacy profiles of TACE using DC Beads LUMI. MATERIALS AND METHODS We retrospectively analyzed 90 patients with HCC who underwent TACE with DC Bead LUMI™ between November 2018 and November 2020 at Fondazione IRCCS Cà Granda Policlinico Hospital in Milan, Italy. Patient- and tumour-related factors were registered, including the number of treated lesions, dose of DC Beads LUMI™, dose of Epirubicin, DC Beads LUMI™ target tumour coverage (LC) according to the percentage of target nodule involvement (LC1-0%-25%, LC2-25%-50%, LC3-50%-75%, LC4 75%-100%). Treatment efficacy was obtained through reviewing the follow-up imaging for evidence of response in target lesion(s), according to modified response criteria in solid tumours (mRECIST) criteria with the following outcomes: complete response (CR), partial response (PR), stable disease (SD) and progressive disease (PD). Safety assessment was based on the quantitative and qualitative recording of the adverse events, classified according to CIRSE classification. RESULTS Seventy-two patients were enrolled, and 95 procedures were carried out. We observed a target tumour response rate at 1 month with CR in 68%, PR in 10.3% 11.8%, SD in 13%, PD in 7.2%, and an overall tumour(s) (whole liver) response at 1 month with CR in 58.9%, PR in 12.6%, SD in 10.5% and PD in 18%. We found a significant association (p < 0.01) between tumour response CR or CR + PR and the number of the target lesion(s). CIRSE classification grade I and grade II complications were recorded, respectively, in 11 (11.6%) and 6 (6.3%) procedures. No grade III-IV-V complications occurred. CONCLUSION TACE using DC Beads LUMI is a safe and effective treatment option for patients with HCC.

Abstract
Emergency Radiology is a unique branch of imaging, as rapidity in the diagnosis and management of different pathologies is essential to saving patients' lives. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has many potential applications in emergency radiology: firstly, image acquisition can be facilitated by reducing acquisition times through automatic positioning and minimizing artifacts with AI-based reconstruction systems to optimize image quality, even in critical patients; secondly, it enables an efficient workflow (AI algorithms integrated with RIS-PACS workflow), by analyzing the characteristics and images of patients, detecting high-priority examinations and patients with emergent critical findings. Different machine and deep learning algorithms have been trained for the automated detection of different types of emergency disorders (e.g., intracranial hemorrhage, bone fractures, pneumonia), to help radiologists to detect relevant findings. AI-based smart reporting, summarizing patients' clinical data, and analyzing the grading of the imaging abnormalities, can provide an objective indicator of the disease's severity, resulting in quick and optimized treatment planning. In this review, we provide an overview of the different AI tools available in emergency radiology, to keep radiologists up to date on the current technological evolution in this field.
