Abstract
BACKGROUND The advent of cutting-edge systemic therapies has driven advances in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and therapeutic strategies with multiple modes of delivery have been shown to be more efficacious than monotherapy. However, the mechanisms underlying this innovative treatment modality have not been elucidated.
AIM To evaluate the clinical efficacy of targeted therapy plus immunotherapy combined with hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) of FOLFOX in patients with unresectable HCC.
METHODS We enrolled 53 patients with unresectable HCC who received a combination of targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and HAIC of FOLFOX between December 2020 and June 2021 and assessed the efficacy and safety of the treatment regimen.
RESULTS The objective response rate was 60.4% (32/53), complete response was 24.5% (13/53), partial response was 35.9% (19/53), and stable disease was 39.6% (21/53). The median duration of response and median progression-free survival were 9.1 and 13.9 months, respectively. The surgical conversion rate was 34.0% (18/53), and 1-year overall survival was 83.0% without critical complicating diseases or adverse events (AEs).
CONCLUSION The regimen of HAIC of FOLFOX, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy was curative for patients with unresectable HCC, with no serious AEs and a high rate of surgical conversion.

Abstract
Pulmonary spindle cell carcinoma (PSCC) is a rare and aggressive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) subtype with a dismal prognosis. The molecular characteristics of PSCC are largely unknown due to its rarity, which limits the diagnosis and treatment of this historically poorly characterized malignancy. We present comprehensive genomic profiling results of baseline tumor samples from 22 patients histologically diagnosed with PSCC, representing the largest cohort to date. Somatic genetic variant detection was compared between paired plasma samples and primary tumors from 13 patients within our cohort. The associations among genomic features, treatment, and prognosis were also analyzed in representative patient cases. TP53 (54.5%), TERT (36.4%), CDKN2A (27.3%), and MET (22.7%) were most frequently mutated. Notably, 81.8% of patients had actionable targets in their baseline tumors, including MET (22.7%), ERBB2 (13.6%), EGFR (9.1%), KRAS (9.1%), ALK (9.1%), and ROS1 (4.5%). The median tumor mutation burden (TMB) for PSCC tumors was 5.5 mutations per megabase (muts/Mb). TMB-high tumors (>10 muts/Mb) exhibited a significantly higher mutation frequency in genes such as KRAS, ARID2, FOXL2, and LRP1B, as well as within the DNA mismatch repair pathway. The detection rates for single nucleotide variants and structural variants were comparable between matched tumor and plasma samples, with 48.6% of genetic variants being mutually identified in both sample types. Additionally, a patient with a high mutation load and positive PD-L1 expression demonstrated a 7-month survival benefit from chemoimmunotherapy. Furthermore, a patient with an ALK-rearranged tumor achieved a remarkable 3-year progression-free survival following crizotinib treatment. Overall, our findings deepen the understanding of the complex genomic landscape of PSCC, revealing actionable targets amenable to tailored treatment of this poorly characterized malignancy.

Abstract
ConspectusCircularly polarized luminescence (CPL) generated by chiral luminescent systems has sparked enormous attention in multidisciplinary field as it brings infinite potential for applications, such as 3D optical displays, biological probes, and chiroptical sensors. Satisfying both the conditions of chirality and luminescence (including fluorescence or phosphorescence) is a prerequisite for constructing CPL materials. In this regard, whether in organic, inorganic, or hybrid systems, chiral and luminescent components generally involve effective coupling through covalent or noncovalent bonds. For covalent interactions, such as the copolymerization of chiral and luminescent monomers, although covalent bonds provide high stability for the system, they inevitably involve tedious preparation procedures that connect chirality and luminescence together. For noncovalent bonds, take supramolecular assembly as an example, chiral elements and achiral light-emitting units are chiral transferred through intermolecular interactions, and their advantages include the diversity of luminescent and chiral building blocks, the stimuli responsiveness brought by noncovalent bonds, as well as the potential amplification of CPL signals by coassembly. However, the stability of the assembly system may be poor, and the assembly chiroptical performance and morphology are difficult to predict. Gratifyingly, matching rule that do not rely on covalent together with noncovalent interactions allows for the effortless construction, modulation, as well as amplification of CPL systems.In this Account, we overview different strategies based on matching rule, including fluorescence-selective absorption, circularly polarized reflection, and circularly polarized fluorescence energy transfer (CPF-ET). Examples of these strategies are illustrated with a focus on helical polymers in light of their appealing structures and wide uses. For instance, for fluorescence-selective absorption, chiral helical polymers can convert racemic fluorescence light into a circularly polarized one with specific handedness by simply overlapping the helical polymer's circular dichroism (CD) spectra with the luminophore's emission spectra. For circularly polarized reflection, employing the selective reflection of certain handedness's circularly polarized light, the high helical twisting power (HTP) of the helical polymer in the cholesteric liquid crystals (N*-LCs) gives the system high glum. Additionally, for CPF-ET, only the emission spectrum of the donor and the absorption (or excitation) spectrum of the achiral acceptor are required to overlap, and no covalent or noncovalent interactions between the two are required. An outlook for the CPL materials related to matching rule which will avail the optimization and extension of this intriguing approach concludes the Account. We hope that the Account will offer insightful inspiration for the flourishing progress of chiroptical systems and present exciting opportunities.

Abstract
Polymerized high internal phase emulsions (polyHIPEs) with circularly polarized luminescence (CPL), as an interesting class of porous materials, are of great significance for the development of CPL porous materials but have not been reported so far. Herein, we report the construction of polyHIPE-based CPL porous materials, taking advantage of an adsorption strategy. The pristine polyHIPEs constructed by chiral helical polymers, which acted as a chiral microenvironment, were fabricated by coordination polymerization of chiral acetylene monomers (R/S-SA) using HIPEs as templates. Achiral fluorescent small molecules were dispersed in the pores of the 3D porous organic chiral polymer matrix provided by polyHIPEs through the adsorption strategy, and CPL-active porous materials with blue, cyan, and green emissions were constructed using a fluorescence-selective absorption mechanism that does not rely on chirality transfer at the molecular level. The maximum luminescence dissymmetry factor (glum) value was -2.6 × 10-2. This work establishes a new and simple way for developing CPL porous materials.

Abstract
Robust ferroelectricity in nanoscale fluorite oxide-based thin films enables promising applications in silicon-compatible non-volatile memories and logic devices. However, the polar orthorhombic (O) phase of fluorite oxides is a metastable phase that is prone to transforming into the ground-state non-polar monoclinic (M) phase, leading to macroscopic ferroelectric degradation. Here we investigate the reversibility of the O-M phase transition in ZrO2 nanocrystals via in situ visualization of the martensitic transformation at the atomic scale. We reveal that the reversible shear deformation pathway from the O phase to the monoclinic-like (M') state, a compressive-strained M phase, is protected by 90° ferroelectric-ferroelastic switching. Nevertheless, as the M' state gradually accumulates localized strain, a critical tensile strain can pin the ferroelastic domain, resulting in an irreversible M'-M strain relaxation and the loss of ferroelectricity. These findings demonstrate the key role of ferroelastic switching in the reversibility of phase transition and also provide a tensile-strain threshold for stabilizing the metastable ferroelectric phase in fluorite oxide thin films.

Abstract
Lung cancer is the second commonly diagnosed cancer and remained the leading cause of cancer-related death, with an estimated 1.8 million deaths in 2020. The identification of driver gene mutation and administration of corresponding tyrosine kinase inhibitor have improved overall survival and quality of life in advanced lung cancer patients. Check point inhibitor has revolutionized treatment strategy of driver gene negative advanced NSCLC patients. TNM staging system is the most widely used classification method, providing an international common language during academic communication and important tool for predicting prognosis and subsequent treatment decision making. Accumulating knowledge about prognostic factors in lung cancer promotes the update of TNM classification. In the World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) held in Singapore, September, 2023, International Association for Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) released the forthcoming 9th edition of TNM classification for lung cancer, which is supposed to be adopted at January, 2024. The manuscript discussed the history, data resource and limitation of the TNM staging system.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Recently, vessels encapsulating tumor clusters (VETC) was considered as a distinct pattern of tumor vascularization which can primarily facilitate the entry of the whole tumor cluster into the bloodstream in an invasion independent manner, and was regarded as an independent risk factor for poor prognosis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). AIM To develop and validate a preoperative nomogram using contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT) to predict the presence of VETC+ in HCC. METHODS We retrospectively evaluated 190 patients with pathologically confirmed HCC who underwent CECT scanning and immunochemical staining for cluster of differentiation 34 at two medical centers. Radiomics analysis was conducted on intratumoral and peritumoral regions in the portal vein phase. Radiomics features, essential for identifying VETC+ HCC, were extracted and utilized to develop a radiomics model using machine learning algorithms in the training set. The model's performance was validated on two separate test sets. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis was employed to compare the identified performance of three models in predicting the VETC status of HCC on both training and test sets. The most predictive model was then used to constructed a radiomics nomogram that integrated the independent clinical-radiological features. ROC and decision curve analysis were used to assess the performance characteristics of the clinical-radiological features, the radiomics features and the radiomics nomogram. RESULTS The study included 190 individuals from two independent centers, with the majority being male (81%) and a median age of 57 years (interquartile range: 51-66). The area under the curve (AUC) for the combined radiomics features selected from the intratumoral and peritumoral areas were 0.825, 0.788, and 0.680 in the training set and the two test sets. A total of 13 features were selected to construct the Rad-score. The nomogram, combining clinical-radiological and combined radiomics features could accurately predict VETC+ in all three sets, with AUC values of 0.859, 0.848 and 0.757. Decision curve analysis revealed that the radiomics nomogram was more clinically useful than both the clinical-radiological feature and the combined radiomics models. CONCLUSION This study demonstrates the potential utility of a CECT-based radiomics nomogram, incorporating clinical-radiological features and combined radiomics features, in the identification of VETC+ HCC.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Tranexamic acid (TXA) demonstrates therapeutic efficacy in the management of traumatic brain injury (TBI). The objective of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of TXA in patients with TBI. METHODS The databases, namely PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library databases, were systematically searched to retrieve randomized controlled trials (RCTs) investigating the efficacy of TXA for TBI from January 2000 to November 2023. RESULTS The present meta-analysis incorporates ten RCTs. Compared to the placebo group, administration of TXA in patients with TBI resulted in a significant reduction in mortality (P = 0.05), hemorrhage growth (P = 0.03), and volume of hemorrhage growth (P = 0.003). However, no significant impact was observed on neurosurgery outcomes (P = 0.25), seizure occurrence (P = 0.78), or pulmonary embolism incidence (P = 0.52). CONCLUSION The administration of TXA is significantly associated with reduced mortality and hemorrhage growth in patients suffering from TBI, while the need of neurosurgery, seizures, and incidence of pulmonary embolism remains comparable to that observed with placebo.

Abstract
PURPOSE Heart failure (HF) is a serious and complex syndrome with a high mortality rate. In clinical diagnosis, the correct classification of HF is helpful. In our previous work, we proposed a self-supervised learning framework of HF classification (SSLHF) on cine cardiac magnetic resonance images (Cine-CMR). However, this method lacks the integration of three dimensions of spatial information and temporal information. Thus, this study aims at proposing an automatic 4D HF classification algorithm. METHODS To construct a 4D classification model, we proposed an extensional framework called 4D-SSLHF. It mainly consists of self-supervised image restoration and HF classification. The image restoration proxy task utilizes three image transformation methods to enhance the exploration of spatial and temporal information in the Cine-CMR. In the classification task, we proposed a Siamese Conv-LSTM network by combining the Siamese network and bi-directional Conv-LSTM to integrate the features of the four dimensions simultaneously. RESULTS Experimental results on 184 patients from Shanghai Chest Hospital achieved an AUC of 0.8794 and an ACC of 0.8402 in the five-fold cross-validation. Compared with our previous work, the improvements in AUC and ACC were 2.89 % and 1.94 %, respectively. CONCLUSIONS In this study, we proposed a novel self-supervised learning framework named 4D-SSLHF for HF classification based on Cine-CMR. The proposed 4D-SSLHF can mine 3D spatial information and temporal information in Cine-CMR images well and accurately classify different categories of HF. The good classification results show our method's potential to assist physicians in choosing personalized treatment.

Abstract
Lithium (Li) dendrite growth significantly deteriorates the performance and shortens the operation life of lithium metal batteries. Capturing the intricate dynamics of surface localized and rapid mass transport at the electrolyte-electrode interface of lithium metal is essential for the understanding of the dendrite growth process, and the evaluation of the solutions mitigating the dendrite growth issue. Here we demonstrate an approach based on an ultrasensitive tilted fiber Bragg grating (TFBG) sensor which is inserted close to the electrode surface in a working lithium metal battery, without disturbing its operation. Thanks to the superfine optical resonances of the TFBG, in situ and rapid monitoring of mass transport kinetics and lithium dendrite growth at the nanoscale interface of lithium anodes have been achieved. Reliable correlations between the performance of different natural/artificial solid electrolyte interphases (SEIs) and the time-resolved optical responses have been observed and quantified, enabling us to link the nanoscale ion and SEI behavior with the macroscopic battery performance. This new operando tool will provide additional capabilities for parametrization of the batteries' electrochemistry and help identify the optimal interphases of lithium metal batteries to enhance battery performance and its safety.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitors reduce progression of chronic kidney disease and the risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in a wide range of patients. However, their effects on kidney disease progression in some patients with chronic kidney disease are unclear because few clinical kidney outcomes occurred among such patients in the completed trials. In particular, some guidelines stratify their level of recommendation about who should be treated with SGLT2 inhibitors based on diabetes status and albuminuria. We aimed to assess the effects of empagliflozin on progression of chronic kidney disease both overall and among specific types of participants in the EMPA-KIDNEY trial. METHODS EMPA-KIDNEY, a randomised, controlled, phase 3 trial, was conducted at 241 centres in eight countries (Canada, China, Germany, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, the UK, and the USA), and included individuals aged 18 years or older with an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) of 20 to less than 45 mL/min per 1·73 m2, or with an eGFR of 45 to less than 90 mL/min per 1·73 m2 with a urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio (uACR) of 200 mg/g or higher. We explored the effects of 10 mg oral empagliflozin once daily versus placebo on the annualised rate of change in estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR slope), a tertiary outcome. We studied the acute slope (from randomisation to 2 months) and chronic slope (from 2 months onwards) separately, using shared parameter models to estimate the latter. Analyses were done in all randomly assigned participants by intention to treat. EMPA-KIDNEY is registered at ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT03594110. FINDINGS Between May 15, 2019, and April 16, 2021, 6609 participants were randomly assigned and then followed up for a median of 2·0 years (IQR 1·5-2·4). Prespecified subgroups of eGFR included 2282 (34·5%) participants with an eGFR of less than 30 mL/min per 1·73 m2, 2928 (44·3%) with an eGFR of 30 to less than 45 mL/min per 1·73 m2, and 1399 (21·2%) with an eGFR 45 mL/min per 1·73 m2 or higher. Prespecified subgroups of uACR included 1328 (20·1%) with a uACR of less than 30 mg/g, 1864 (28·2%) with a uACR of 30 to 300 mg/g, and 3417 (51·7%) with a uACR of more than 300 mg/g. Overall, allocation to empagliflozin caused an acute 2·12 mL/min per 1·73 m2 (95% CI 1·83-2·41) reduction in eGFR, equivalent to a 6% (5-6) dip in the first 2 months. After this, it halved the chronic slope from -2·75 to -1·37 mL/min per 1·73 m2 per year (relative difference 50%, 95% CI 42-58). The absolute and relative benefits of empagliflozin on the magnitude of the chronic slope varied significantly depending on diabetes status and baseline levels of eGFR and uACR. In particular, the absolute difference in chronic slopes was lower in patients with lower baseline uACR, but because this group progressed more slowly than those with higher uACR, this translated to a larger relative difference in chronic slopes in this group (86% [36-136] reduction in the chronic slope among those with baseline uACR <30 mg/g compared with a 29% [19-38] reduction for those with baseline uACR ≥2000 mg/g; ptrend<0·0001). INTERPRETATION Empagliflozin slowed the rate of progression of chronic kidney disease among all types of participant in the EMPA-KIDNEY trial, including those with little albuminuria. Albuminuria alone should not be used to determine whether to treat with an SGLT2 inhibitor. FUNDING Boehringer Ingelheim and Eli Lilly.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The EMPA-KIDNEY trial showed that empagliflozin reduced the risk of the primary composite outcome of kidney disease progression or cardiovascular death in patients with chronic kidney disease mainly through slowing progression. We aimed to assess how effects of empagliflozin might differ by primary kidney disease across its broad population. METHODS EMPA-KIDNEY, a randomised, controlled, phase 3 trial, was conducted at 241 centres in eight countries (Canada, China, Germany, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, the UK, and the USA). Patients were eligible if their estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) was 20 to less than 45 mL/min per 1·73 m2, or 45 to less than 90 mL/min per 1·73 m2 with a urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio (uACR) of 200 mg/g or higher at screening. They were randomly assigned (1:1) to 10 mg oral empagliflozin once daily or matching placebo. Effects on kidney disease progression (defined as a sustained ≥40% eGFR decline from randomisation, end-stage kidney disease, a sustained eGFR below 10 mL/min per 1·73 m2, or death from kidney failure) were assessed using prespecified Cox models, and eGFR slope analyses used shared parameter models. Subgroup comparisons were performed by including relevant interaction terms in models. EMPA-KIDNEY is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT03594110. FINDINGS Between May 15, 2019, and April 16, 2021, 6609 participants were randomly assigned and followed up for a median of 2·0 years (IQR 1·5-2·4). Prespecified subgroupings by primary kidney disease included 2057 (31·1%) participants with diabetic kidney disease, 1669 (25·3%) with glomerular disease, 1445 (21·9%) with hypertensive or renovascular disease, and 1438 (21·8%) with other or unknown causes. Kidney disease progression occurred in 384 (11·6%) of 3304 patients in the empagliflozin group and 504 (15·2%) of 3305 patients in the placebo group (hazard ratio 0·71 [95% CI 0·62-0·81]), with no evidence that the relative effect size varied significantly by primary kidney disease (pheterogeneity=0·62). The between-group difference in chronic eGFR slopes (ie, from 2 months to final follow-up) was 1·37 mL/min per 1·73 m2 per year (95% CI 1·16-1·59), representing a 50% (42-58) reduction in the rate of chronic eGFR decline. This relative effect of empagliflozin on chronic eGFR slope was similar in analyses by different primary kidney diseases, including in explorations by type of glomerular disease and diabetes (p values for heterogeneity all >0·1). INTERPRETATION In a broad range of patients with chronic kidney disease at risk of progression, including a wide range of non-diabetic causes of chronic kidney disease, empagliflozin reduced risk of kidney disease progression. Relative effect sizes were broadly similar irrespective of the cause of primary kidney disease, suggesting that SGLT2 inhibitors should be part of a standard of care to minimise risk of kidney failure in chronic kidney disease. [Patient-reported outcomes of locally advanced gastric cancer undergoing robotic versus laparoscopic gastrectomy: a randomized controlled study]. Abstract
Objective: To compare the patient-reported outcomes and short-term clinical outcomes between robotic-assisted and laparoscopic-assisted radical gastrectomy for locally advanced gastric cancer. Methods: This single-center prospective randomized controlled trial was conducted in the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery,Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University from October 2020 to August 2022. Patients with locally advanced gastric cancer who were to undergo radical gastrectomy were selected and randomly divided into two groups according to 1∶1, and received robotic surgery and laparoscopic surgery, respectively. Patient-reported outcomes and short-term clinical outcomes (including postoperative complications, surgical quality and postoperative short-term recovery) were compared between the two groups by t test, Mann-Whitney U test, repeated ANOVA, generalized estimating equation, χ2 test and Fisher's exact test. Results: A total of 237 patients were enrolled for modified intention-to-treat analysis (120 patients in the robotic group, 117 patients in the laparoscopic group). There were 180 males and 59 females, aged (63.0±10.2) years (range: 30 to 85 years). The incidence of postoperative complications was similar between the robotic group and laparoscopic group (16.7% (20/120) vs. 15.4% (18/117), χ2=0.072, P=0.788). The robotic group had higher patient-reported outcomes scores in general health status, emotional, and social domains compared to the laparoscopic group, differences in time effect, intervention effect, and interaction effect were statistically significant (general health status: χ2 value were 275.68, 3.91, 6.38, P value were <0.01, 0.048, 0.041; emotional: χ2 value were 77.79, 6.04, 6.15, P value were <0.01, 0.014, 0.046; social: χ2 value were 148.00, 7.57, 5.98, P value were <0.01, 0.006, 0.048). However, the financial burden of the robotic group was higher, the differences in time effect, intervention effect and interaction effect were statistically significant (χ2 value were 156.24, 4.08, 36.56, P value were<0.01, 0.043,<0.01). Conclusion: Compared to the laparoscopic group, the robotic group could more effectively relieve postoperative negative emotions and improve recovery of social function in patients.

Abstract
Reservoir computing can more efficiently be used to solve time-dependent tasks than conventional feedforward network owing to various advantages, such as easy training and low hardware overhead. Physical reservoirs that contain intrinsic nonlinear dynamic processes could serve as next-generation dynamic computing systems. High-efficiency reservoir systems require nonlinear and dynamic responses to distinguish time-series input data. Herein, an interface-type dynamic transistor gated by an Hf0.5Zr0.5O2 (HZO) film was introduced to perform reservoir computing. The channel conductance of Mott material La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 (LSMO) can effectively be modulated by taking advantage of the unique coupled property of the polarization process and oxygen migration in hafnium-based ferroelectrics. The large positive value of the oxygen vacancy formation energy and negative value of the oxygen affinity energy resulted in the spontaneous migration of accumulated oxygen ions in the HZO films to the channel, leading to the dynamic relaxation process. The modulation of the channel conductance was found to be closely related to the current state, identified as the origin of the nonlinear response. In the time series recognition and prediction tasks, the proposed reservoir system showed an extremely low decision-making error. This work provides a promising pathway for exploiting dynamic ion systems for high-performance neural network devices.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Alcoholic hepatitis (AH) is a severe alcoholic-related liver disease that is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality, for which effective treatments are lacking. Brain-expressed X-linked gene 2 (BEX2) has been implicated in various diseases, but its association with AH has received limited attention. Thus, this study investigated BEX2's impact on the progression of AH by affecting the c-Jun NH2-terminal kinase/mitogen-activated protein kinase (JNK/MAPK) pathway. METHODS Microarray dataset GSE28619 from the Gene Expression Omnibus database was used to identify differentially expressed genes in AH. Immunohistochemistry, terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP-biotin nick end labeling (TUNEL), Western blot analysis, and flow cytometry were used to measure various factors in the liver tissue of AH mice. RESULTS BEX2 expression was significantly upregulated in the model. BEX2 gene silencing increased the levels of glutathione peroxidase and superoxide dismutase while decreasing malondialdehyde content; phosphorylation of JNK, c-JUN, and p38MAPK; apoptosis rate; and the extent of JNK/MAPK pathway activation. CONCLUSIONS These findings provide valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying AH development and highlight the potential role of BEX2 gene expression as a promising therapeutic target for AH.

Abstract
The high conductivities and good mechanical properties of hydrogel electrolyte films are critical for energy storage devices with high flexibility, fast redox kinetics, and long life. Herein, a low water content (6.63 wt%) hydrogel film is prepared, and a favorable environment is created, with an electrochemical stability window of 2.26 V and a high ionic conductivity of 2.6 mS cm-1 . The hydrogel film exhibits good folding ability, low in-plane swelling, and anti-freezing abilities. These properties are benefitted by immobilizing free water molecules on the abundant oxygenic groups of polymer fibers in the hydrogel film, offering a unique 3D channel to allow Li+ to quickly transport along the polymer network. Therefore, the hydrogel film-based all-in-one flexible cell exhibits stable cycling performance with a retention of 81.8% of the initial capacity after 500 cycles at room temperature and 66.2% of capacity retention at -30 °C. Furthermore, the full cell with high cathode loading (≈21 mg cm-2 ) exhibits a high areal capacity of 2.5 mAh cm-2 (≈119 mAh g-1 ). The overall merits of flexible all-in-one quasi-solid-state batteries demonstrate high potential to be used for power wearable electronics.

Abstract
Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa) infections present a grave threat to immunocompromised individuals, particularly those with cystic fibrosis due to the development of bacterial biofilms. In this study, we engineered self-assembling chitosan-ceftazidime nanoparticles (CSCE) capable of effectively penetrating biofilms and eradicating P. aeruginosa. The CSCE nanoparticles were synthesized through ionic cross-linking, combining negatively charged ceftazidime with positively charged chitosan, resulting in uniform nanoparticles measuring approximately 40 nm in diameter, exhibiting high dispersity and excellent biocompatibility. Remarkably, these nanoparticles exhibited significant inhibition of P. aeruginosa growth, reduced pyocyanin production, and diminished biofilm formation, achieving a maximum inhibition rate of 22.44%. Furthermore, in vivo investigations demonstrated enhanced survival in mice with abdominal P. aeruginosa infection following treatment with CSCE nanoparticles, accompanied by reduced levels of inflammatory cytokines Interleukin-6 (125.79 ± 18.63 pg/mL), Interleukin-17 (125.67 ± 5.94 pg/mL), and Tumor Necrosis Factor-α (135.4 ± 11.77 pg/mL). Critically, mice treated with CSCE nanoparticles showed no presence of bacteria in the bloodstream following intraperitoneal P. aeruginosa infection. Collectively, our findings highlight the potential of these synthesized nanoparticles as effective agents against P. aeruginosa infections.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To study the efficacy of microwave ablation (MWA) and radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for colorectal liver metastases (CRLM) by meta-analysis. METHODS PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, CNKI and the Cochrane Library were searched from the establishment to May 2023, and studies that report outcomes with comparison between MWA and RFA in CRLM treatment were selected by inclusion and exclusion criteria. Furthermore, the perioperative and survival data were statistically summarized and analyzed by Review Manager 5.4. RESULTS Five studies (MWA: 316 patients; RFA: 332 patients) were evaluated. The results of meta-analysis showed that local tumor progression in MWA group was significantly lower than that in RFA group (P < 0.05). The1-year and 2-year disease-free survival (DFS) of the MWA group was significantly better than that of the RFA group with HR of 1.77 (95% CI: 1.04-3.02; P = 0.04) and1.60 (95% CI: 1.09-2.35; P = 0.02), respectively. CONCLUSION The local tumor progression and 1-year and 2-year DFS of MWA were superior to RFA. The included articles were retrospective, offering low-quality evidence and limited conclusions.

Abstract
CT screening has markedly reduced the lung cancer mortality in high-risk population and increased the detection of early-stage pulmonary neoplasms, including multiple pulmonary nodules, especially those with a ground-glass appearance on CT. Multiple primary lung cancer (MPLC) constitutes a specific subtype of lung cancer with indolent biological behaviors, which is predominantly early-stage adenocarcinoma. Although MPLC progresses slowly with rare lymphatic metastasis, existence of synchronous lesions and distributed location of these nodules still pose difficulty for the management of such patients. One single operation is usually insufficient to eradicate all neoplastic lesions, whereas repeated surgical procedures bring about another dilemma: whether clinical benefits of surgical treatment outweigh loss of pulmonary function following multiple operations. Therefore, despite the anxiety for treatment among MPLC patients, whether and how to treat the patient should be assessed meticulously. Currently there is a heated discussion upon the timing of clinical intervention, operation mode and the application of local therapy in MPLC. Based on clinical experience of our multiple disciplinary team, we have summarized and commented on the evaluation, surgical treatment, non-surgical local treatment, targeted therapy and immunotherapy of MPLC in this article to provide further insight into this field.

Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the role and mechanism of Anctin A, the Antrodia camphorata terpene component, in resisting liver injury. Network pharmacology analysis revealed that MAPK3 was the major action target of Antcin A. Furthermore, experimental research suggested that Antcin A suppressed mouse liver injury, reduced the inflammatory factor levels, and enhanced the anti-oxidative capacity. Meanwhile, it suppressed the expression of MAPK3 and the downstream NF-κB signal, while it did not significantly affect the expression of MAPK1. Based on network pharmacology method, this study discovers that the anti-liver injury effect of Antcin A is mainly related to MAPK3, and that Antcin A can suppress the activation of MAPK3 and its downstream NF-κB to inhibit mouse ALI.

Abstract
We present room-temperature measurements of magnon spin diffusion in epitaxial ferrimagnetic insulator MgAl0.5Fe1.5O4 (MAFO) thin films near zero applied magnetic field where the sample forms a multi-domain state. Due to a weak uniaxial magnetic anisotropy, the domains are separated primarily by 180° domain walls. We find, surprisingly, that the presence of the domain walls has very little effect on the spin diffusion - nonlocal spin transport signals in the multi-domain state retain at least 95% of the maximum signal strength measured for the spatially-uniform magnetic state, over distances at least five times the typical domain size. This result is in conflict with simple models of interactions between magnons and static domain walls, which predict that the spin polarization carried by the magnons reverses upon passage through a 180° domain wall.

Abstract
Unconventional ferroelectricity in fluorite-structure oxides enables tremendous opportunities in nanoelectronics owing to their superior scalability and silicon compatibility. However, their polarization order and switching process remain elusive due to the challenges of visualizing oxygen ions in nanocrystalline films. In this work, the oxygen shifting during polarization switching and correlated polar-nonpolar phase transitions are directly captured among multiple metastable phases in freestanding ZrO2 thin films by low-dose integrated differential phase-contrast scanning transmission electron microscopy (iDPC-STEM). Bidirectional transitions between antiferroelectric and ferroelectric orders and interfacial polarization relaxation are clarified at unit-cell scale. Meanwhile, polarization switching is strongly correlated with Zr-O displacement in reversible martensitic transformation between monoclinic and orthorhombic phases and two-step tetrahedral-to-orthorhombic phase transition. These findings provide atomic insights into the transition pathways between metastable polymorphs and unravel the evolution of polarization orders in (anti)ferroelectric fluorite oxides.

Abstract
In the past few years, fluorescent materials have received significant attention due to their fascinating luminescent properties and wide-ranging applications. Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) has also attracted the interest of many researchers due to its remarkable performances. The combination of fluorescence and PDMS will undoubtedly produce abundant advanced multifunctional materials. Although numerous achievements have been made in this field, there is still no review to summarize the relevant research. This review summarize the state-of-the-art achievements made in PDMS-based fluorescent materials (PFMs). First, the preparation of PFM is overviewed following a classification according to the fluorescent sources, including organic fluorescent molecules, perovskite, photoluminescent nanomaterials and metal complexes. Their applications in sensors, fluorescent probes, multifunctional coatings and anticounterfeiting are then introduced. Abstract
BACKGROUND Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2) plays a key role in antiangiogenesis which has been an essential strategy for cancer treatment. We report the first-in-human study of AK109, a novel anti-VEGFR2 monoclonal antibody, to characterize the safety profile and pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) properties, and explore the preliminary antitumor efficacy in patients with solid tumors. PATIENTS AND METHODS This was a multicenter, open-label, phase I study, including dose escalation and dose expansion (NCT04547205). Patients with advanced cancers were treated 2 and 3 weekly with escalating doses of AK109. A 3 + 3 design was used to determine the maximum tolerated dose. Blood was sampled for PK/PD analysis. The primary endpoint was safety and recommended phase II dose (RP2D). RESULTS A total of 40 patients were enrolled. No dose-limiting toxicity was observed. However, 38 patients reported treatment-related adverse events (TRAEs); grade ≥3 TRAEs occurred in 10 patients. The most common TRAEs were proteinuria (n = 24, 60%), hypertension (n = 13, 32.5%), increased aspartate transaminase (n = 11, 27.5%), thrombopenia (n = 10, 25%), and anemia (n = 10, 25%). A total of 28 patients (70%) reported adverse events of special interest (AESIs). The most common AESIs were proteinuria (60%), hypertension (32.5%), and hemorrhage (32.5%), mainly including gum bleeding and urethrorrhagia. AK109 exhibited an approximately linear PK exposure with dose escalation at 2-12 mg/kg. PD analyses showed rapid target engagement. Among the 40 patients, 4 achieved partial response and 21 achieved stable disease with an objective response rate of 10% and a disease control rate of 62.5%. Based on the safety profile, the PK/PD profile, and preliminary antitumor activities, 12 mg/kg Q2W and 15 mg/kg Q3W were selected as RP2D. CONCLUSIONS AK109 showed manageable safety profile and promising antitumor activity, supporting further clinical development in a large population.

Abstract
Fluorescent polymer particles have witnessed an increasing interest in recent years, owing to their fascinating physicochemical properties as well as wide-ranging applications. In this review, the state-of-the-art research progress of fluorescent polymer particles in the past five years is summarized. First, the synthesis protocols for fluorescent polymer particles, including emulsion polymerization, precipitation polymerization, dispersion polymerization, suspension polymerization, nanoprecipitation, self-assembly, and post-polymerization modification, are presented in detail. Then, the applications of the resulting beguiling particles in anticounterfeiting, chemical sensing, and biomedicine, are illustrated. Finally, the challenges and opportunities that exist in the field are pointed out. This review aims to offer important guidance and stimulate more research attention to this rapidly developing field.

Abstract
HfO2-based ferroelectrics, such as Hf0.5Zr0.5O2, arouse great attention in recent years because of their CMOS compatibility and robust nano-scale ferroelectricity. However, fatigue is one of the toughest problems for ferroelectric applications. The fatigue mechanism of HfO2-based ferroelectrics is different from conventional ferroelectric materials, and research on the fatigue mechanism in HfO2-based epitaxial films have been rarely reported. In this work, we fabricate 10 nm Hf0.5Zr0.5O2epitaxial films and investigate the fatigue mechanism. The experimental data show that the remanent ferroelectric polarization value decreased by 50% after 108cycles. It is worth noting that the fatigued Hf0.5Zr0.5O2epitaxial films can be recovered through applying electric stimulus. Combined with the temperature-dependent endurance analysis, we propose that fatigue of our Hf0.5Zr0.5O2films comes from both phase transition between ferroelectric Pca21and antiferroelectric Pbca as well as defects generation and dipole pinned. This result offers a fundamental understanding of HfO2-based film system, and could provide an important guideline for subsequent studies and future applications.

Abstract
Background The goal of this study was to determine the safety and efficacy of endoscopic combined intrarenal surgery (ECIRS) performed in the prone split-leg position for the treatment of complex renal stones. Materials and methods A mature ECIRS protocol was designed. Retrospective analysis was conducted of medical records between January 2020 and December 2021 of patients with complex renal stones at one center who underwent ECIRS by 2 skilled surgeons using retrograde flexible ureteroscopy and mini-percutaneous nephrolithotomy in the prone split-leg position. Results A total of 44 patients were included in this study. Mean stone size was 26.1 ± 12.7 mm, and the number of calyces involved was 4.36 ± 2.09. Mean operative time was 71.1 ± 21.8 minutes. Postoperative decline in hemoglobin was 15.8 ± 9.8 g/L. Seventy-five percent of patients achieved stone-free status. The mean number of residual stones was 2.8 ± 2.3, and the mean residual stone size was 10.30 ± 4.76 mm. Six patients (13.6%) developed postoperative complications, including 4 with fever during the first 2 days postoperatively and 2 patients with transient postoperative pain. No patients developed severe complications. Conclusions Endoscopic combined intrarenal surgery in the prone split-leg position can be performed safely by experienced surgeons using retrograde flexible ureteroscopy in conjunction with mini-percutaneous nephrolithotomy as a successful technique for the treatment of complex renal stones.

Abstract
1. The extracellular matrix (ECM) constitutes the basal lamina and the area between follicular cells. Remodelling the ECM is believed to be a key event in follicular development, especially during selection, and plays an important role in cell migration, survival, and steroidogenesis. miR-199-3p is differentially expressed in the goose granulosa layer during follicular selection and is reported to play a primary role in inhibiting cell migration and invasion. Nevertheless, the effect of miR-199-3p on ovarian follicles and its role in follicular cellular migration is not understood.2. In this study, qRT-PCR assays revealed that miR-199-3p was differentially expressed in the granulosa layer from goose ovarian follicles before and after follicular selection. Additionally, miR-199-3p overexpression in cultured granulosa cells (GCs) from goose pre-hierarchical follicles significantly suppressed cell viability and migration. It elevated the concentration of progesterone and the expression of key progesterone production genes. Furthermore, miR-199-3p overexpression in the GCs of goose pre-hierarchical follicles inhibited the expression of ECM-related genes (ITGB8, MMP9 and MMP15) yet promoted the expression of another two ECM-related genes (COL4A1 and LAMA1). Finally, dual-fluorescence reporter experiments on 293T cells established the direct targeting of ECM gene ITGB8 by miR-199-3p.3. In conclusion, miR-199-3p may participate in granulosa cell migration, viability, and steroidogenesis in goose ovarian follicles before selection by modulating ITGB8 and other ECM-related genes.

Abstract
Ferromagnetic metals show great prospects in ultralow-power-consumption spintronic devices, due to their high Curie temperature and robust magnetization. However, there is still a lack of reliable solutions for giant and reversible voltage control of magnetism in ferromagnetic metal films. Here, a novel space-charge approach is proposed which allows for achieving a modulation of 30.3 emu/g under 1.3 V in Co/TiO2 multilayer granular films. The robust endurance with more than 5000 cycles is demonstrated. Similar phenomena exist in Ni/TiO2 and Fe/TiO2 multilayer granular films, which shows its universality. The magnetic change of 107% in Ni/TiO2 underlines its potential in a voltage-driven ON-OFF magnetism. Such giant and reversible voltage control of magnetism can be ascribed to space-charge effect at the ferromagnetic metals/TiO2 interfaces, in which spin-polarized electrons are injected into the ferromagnetic metal layer with the adsorption of lithium-ions on the TiO2 surface. These results open the door for a promising method to modulate the magnetization in ferromagnetic metals, paving the way toward the development of ionic-magnetic-electric coupled applications.

Abstract
Background Numerous computed tomography (CT) image reconstruction algorithms have been developed to improve image quality, and high-quality renal CT images are crucial to clinical diagnosis. This study evaluated the image quality and lesion visibility of deep learning-based image reconstruction (DLIR) compared with adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction-Veo (ASiR-V) in contrast-enhanced renal CT at different reconstruction strengths and doses. Methods From January 2020 to May 2021, we prospectively included 101 patients who underwent renal contrast-enhanced CT scanning (69 at 120 kV; 32 at 80 kV). All image data were reconstructed with ASiR-V (30% and 70%) and DLIR at low, medium, and high reconstruction strengths (DLIR-L, DLIR-M, and DLIR-H, respectively). The CT number, noise, noise reduction rate (NRR), signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR), overall image quality, and the proportion of acceptable images were compared. Lesions of DLIR groups were evaluated, and the conspicuity-to-noise ratio (C/N) was calculated. Results Quantitative values (noise, SNR, CNR, and NRR) significantly differed between all reconstructions at 120 and 80 kV (P<0.001) and between each reconstruction, except ASiR-V 70% vs. DLIR-M. At 120 kV, the overall image quality and the proportion of acceptable images significantly differed between all reconstructions (P<0.001) and between each reconstruction, except ASiR-V 30% vs. DLIR-L and ASiR-V 70% vs. DLIR-M. At 80 kV, the overall image quality significantly differed between all reconstructions (P<0.001) and between each reconstruction, except between ASiR-V 30%, ASiR-V 70%, and DLIR-L. Quantitative and qualitative values were highest in DLIR-H, while the values were close in DLIR-H (80 kV) vs. ASiR-V 70% (120 kV) and DLIR-M (80 kV) vs. ASiR-V 30% (120 kV). The lesion conspicuity and noise significantly differed in DLIR at 120 kV and 80 kV (P<0.001). C/N significantly differed in DLIR at 120 kV (P<0.001) but not at 80 kV. DLIR-L and DLIR-M exhibited much-improved lesion display (C/N >1), and DLIR-H exhibited much-improved noise (C/N <1) at 120 kV. Conclusions DLIR significantly improved the image quality and lesion visibility of renal CT compared with ASiR-V, even at a low dose.

Abstract
Background
To date, few data on the assessment of transplant renal artery stenosis (TRAS) by using inflow inversion recovery (IFIR) are available. The aims of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of IFIR in the assessment of TRAS using Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) as the reference.
Results
We retrospectively assessed the IFIR of 195 transplant renal arteries. The IFIR images for 194/195 arteries were judged to be of excellent, good, or moderate quality, and 1/195 was not diagnostic. There were 100 arteries with TRAS, of which 27 were subjected to DSA. The stenosis percentages were divided into five grades. Using DSA images, the TRAS in 27 patients were estimated as grade 1 (2, 7.4%), grade 2 (8, 29.6%), grade 3 (10, 37.0%), grade 4 (7, 25.9%) and grade 5 (0, 0%). In comparison, the TRAS was shown to be grade 1 (1, 3.7%), grade 2 (8, 29.6%), grade 3 (9, 33.3%), grade 4 (9, 33%) and grade 5 (0, 0%) in the IFIR images. The nonparametric Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used to compare IFIR with DSA. In addition, a Bland–Altman plot was used to estimate the agreement between IFIR and DSA measurements. There was no significant difference between IFIR and DSA measurements (p < 0.05).
Conclusions
Relative to the reference DSA, IFIR was shown to be noninvasive, accurate for the diagnosis and evaluation of TRAS.

Abstract
To evaluate the clinical efficacy of targeted therapy and immunotherapy combined with hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) of FOLFOX and lipiodol embolization in the treatment of unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma. Patients included in the study were those who received targeted therapy and immunotherapy combined with HAIC of FOLFOX and lipiodol embolization in Zhongshan People's Hospital from December 2020 to June 2021 for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma. Evaluation indicators included objective response rate (ORR), median progression-free survival (mPFS), median duration of response (mDOR), 1-year overall survival rate (OS), surgical conversion rate, and adverse events. Treatment response was assessed using Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (mRECIST and RECIST v1.1). A total of 35 patients were included in this study, 30 of whom completed treatment evaluation. According to mRECIST evaluation criteria, the objective response rate (ORR) was 83.3% (25/30); the complete response (CR) was 60% (18/30); the partial response (PR) was 23.3% (7/30), and stable disease (SD) was 16.7% (5/30). The mDOR was 10.3 months (95% Cl: 8.27-NE), and the mPFS was 13.2 months (95% CI: 10.3-NE); the surgical conversion rate was 30.0% (9/30). The 1-year OS was 96.7%. There were no serious surgical complications and grade 4 or 5 adverse events of targeted therapy, immunotherapy and HAIC. Some patients had grade 3 adverse reactions in gastrointestinal toxicity or hepatotoxicity, and the adverse reactions were improved after corresponding symptomatic treatment. We concluded that HAIC of FOLFOX and lipiodol embolization combined with targeted therapy and immunotherapy had a significant curative effect in the treatment of unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma, with no serious adverse reactions and a high rate of surgical conversion rate.

Abstract
Micro/nanoparticles with surface microstructures have attracted tremendous attention due to their fascinating structures and properties. Herein, we present the first strategy for producing optically active polymer particles with varying surface microstructures via a template surface modification process in which achiral particles act as the template and helical substituted polyacetylene acts as the chiral component. To prepare the designed chiral-functionalized particles, template particles were first reacted with propargylamine to produce alkynylated template particles. The alkynylated templates further participated in the polymerization of chiral alkyne monomers through a surface grafting precipitation polymerization approach, resulting in achiral particles with surface microstructures covalently bonded with a chiral helical polymer. SEM images ascertain the production of chiral-functionalized particles showing various shapes (jar-like, golf ball-like, and raspberry-like particles). Furthermore, CD and UV-vis absorption spectra demonstrate that the grafted polyacetylene chains adopt a predominantly single-handed helical conformation, thereby affording composite particles with optical activity. Using the established protocol, numerous advanced chiral-functionalized micro/nanostructures are expected to be designed and constructed.

Abstract
In this paper, the shear strength of adhesively bonded single-lap joints were experimentally and numerically investigated. Based on the validated simulation, the effects of lap length, adhesive layer thickness, adhesive layer shape, adhesive layer overflow length, and laminate lay-up on the shear strength of adhesively bonded single-lap joints were studied. The load-displacement curves and shear strength under different parameters were compared. It was shown that the shear strength of single-lap joints gradually decreases with the increase of lap length and adhesive layer thickness, which were 53.83% and 16.15%, respectively. Considering the potential condition in fabrication, the adhesive layer shape and adhesive layer overflow length were also investigated. The adhesive with normal and triangle shape owned the comparable shear strength, which was higher than the arc one. The shear strength increased by 19.37% from 18.43 MPa to 22.00 MPa with increasing the adhesive layer overflow length to 50% of lap length. It was beneficial for shear strength to increase the adhesive layer overflow length to 50% of lap length. Among the selected four lay-ups, [0]16s had the highest shear strength, which was nearly 3 times greater than the one of [90]16s. In the real process preparation, increasing the number of 0° layers, selecting the appropriate lap length and thickness of the adhesive layer, and controlling the shape and length of the adhesive layer overflow are of great help to improve the tensile shear strength of the single-lap glue joint.

Abstract
Purpose To analyze the application value of multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment (MDT) nursing mode based on doctor-nurse-integration for stroke patients undergoing emergency intervention surgery. Methods In this study, a historical comparative study method was adopted. 118 stroke patients and medical staff (9 doctors and 11 nurses) who met the diagnosis and inclusion criteria of emergency intervention surgery admitted from July 2021 to February 2022 were treated clinically according to the traditional medical care mode (TMC group), 87 stroke patients and medical staff (9 doctors and 11 nurses) who met the diagnosis and inclusion criteria of emergency intervention surgery admitted from February 2022 to June 2022 were treated and cared according to the MDT nursing mode based on medical integration (MDT group). Comparison of perioperative time indicators, postoperative outcome indicators, treatment compliance, secondary complications and visit satisfaction between the two groups of patients, and comparison of cooperation satisfaction between the two groups of medical staff. Results The MDT group had shorter onset-emergency physician's reception time, arrival at CT room-completion time of CT/MR, notify intervention chamber-arrival time at catheter chamber, admission-femoral artery puncture time, admission-first vessel recanalization time, mean postural restraint time than the TMC group (P < 0.05). The postoperative mortality rate in the MDT group (5.75%) was comparable to that in the TMC group (8.47%) (P > 0.05); the postoperative disability rate in the MDT group (28.74%) was less than that in the TMC group (45.76%) (P < 0.05); the NIHSS score in the MDT group was lower than that in the TMC group, and the FMA score and BI score were both higher than those in the TMC group (P < 0.05). The MDT group had higher treatment compliance than the TMC group, fewer secondary complications than the TMC group, and higher patient visit satisfaction and medical staff cooperation satisfaction than the TMC group (P < 0.05). Conclusion The implementation of the MDT nursing mode based on the doctor-nurse-integration for stroke patients undergoing emergency intervention surgery can improve the work efficiency of rescuing patients, improve the clinical treatment outcome of patients, and improve the satisfaction of doctors, nurses, and patients.

Abstract
Glaucoma is a kind of optic nerve degenerative disease characterized by both depressed atrophy of optic nerve and visual field defect. In Asia, the number of patients with primary Angle closure glaucoma (PACG) is increasing year by year, posing serious impact on the life quality of patients. Angle closure is the pathogenic basis of PACG. Early identification of the risk factors for Angle closure and control on its progression are crucial to the prognosis of PACG. With the continuous in-depth study of the iris in recent years, it has been found that the changes in iris volume are also important dynamic risk factor for PACG. This paper summarizes the latest research results of both domestic and overseas, describes and summarizes the histology, biological characteristics, surface features, vascular configuration and genomics of the iris, and further analyzes the role of iris characteristics in angle closure in details, in order to provide a reference for the clinical diagnosis and research work.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effect of autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (ASCT) on minimal residual disease (MRD) in patients with multiple myeloma (MM). Method: From August 2018 to August 2021, 92 patients newly diagnosed with MM who had received either the bortezomib combined with cyclophosphamide and dexamethasone (VCD) or the bortezomib, lenalidomide and dexamethasone (VRD) induction regimens followed by sequential ASCT were assessed for overall survival (OS) and the MRD negative rate. The differences in efficacy at 100 days after transplantation were assessed according to factors, including age, risk stratification, target organ damage, and pre-transplant regimen, etc. Results: Among the 92 patients, there were 45 males and 47 females, with a median age of 57.3 (35-67) years. Fifty-seven patients received the VCD regimen, and 35 received VRD as induction regimen. Forty-three patients received busulphan combined with cyclophosphamide and etoposide (BCV), and 49 patients received high-dose melphan (HDM) regimen as pre-transplantation treatment. After transplantation, the total complete remission (CR) rate of 92 patients increased from 23.9% (22/92) to 58.7% (54/92), and the MRD negative rate increased from 4.4% (4/92) to 33.7% (31/92), and the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). After transplantation, the MRD negative rates of patients with PR, VGPR and ≥CR before transplantation were 17.6% (6/34), 33.3% (12/36) and 59.1% (13/22), respectively (P=0.006). The CR rates of patients with or without plasmacytoma at initial diagnosis were 36.4% (4/11) and 65.4% (53/81), respectively (P=0.029), and the MRD negative rates were 18.2% (2/11) and 39.5% (32/81), respectively (P=0.037), and the differences were statistically significant. The MRD negative rates in high-risk patients and standard-risk group were 30.5% (12/28) and 42.9% (18/59), respectively (P=0.258). For patients who achieved efficacy above VGPR before transplantation, the MRD negative rates after transplantation in VCD-induced group and VRD group were 29% (9/31) and 59.3% (16/27), respectively (P=0.033), and in BCV group and HDM group were 24% (6/25) and 57.6% (19/33), respectively (P=0.016), the differences between the groups were both statistically significant. Conclusion: ASCT can overcome the adverse factors such as high-risk cytogenetic abnormalities, and significantly improve the CR rate and MRD negative rate of MM patients. However, the benefit for patients with plasmacytoma at initial diagnosis is not as good as that of patients without.

Abstract
Lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries have long been expected to be promising high-energy-density secondary batteries because of their high theoretical specific capacity and element abundances. Yet, their poor cyclability and low rate-capacity strongly limited their practical application. Herein, a nitrogen and sulfur dual doped hollow TiO2 sphere is designed and synthesized for the sulfur host. The dual doped hollow TiO2 can enhance the adsorption ability of soluble lithium polysulfides, which effectively promote the conversion reaction of lithium polysulfides from high-order to low-order in Li-S batteries. What is more, the hollow spherical TiO2 host provides a deposition space for lithium polysulfides and blocks polysulfide migration from the cathode to the electrolyte. Both theoretical calculations and experimental studies confirmed that the electrochemical properties of the sulfur electrode are significantly improved by the dual doped hollow TiO2 sphere. The typical as-prepared dual doped hollow TiO2 cathode coated sulfur has a capacity of 1258 mA h g-1 for the first discharge and a capacity decay as low as 0.0648% per cycle during 500 cycles with a sulfur loading of 3.8 mg cm-2.

Abstract
Chronic inflammation is a typical feature and a major impediment in refractory diabetic foot ulcer (DFU). High levels of extracellular cell-free nucleic acid (cfDNA) have recently been known to play a critical role in the cause of inflammation. Herein, we fabricated polyacrylamide-based cationic hydrogels and topically applied them to the ulcer of a diabetic rat model. The cfDNA level in the wound area was significantly reduced after hydrogel adsorption, and the level of inflammation was eliminated. In turn, the wound closure was significantly promoted without introducing systemic toxicity. Cationic hydrogels represent an effective material to combat uncontrolled inflammation in DFU.

Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical application of differential subsampling with Cartesian ordering (DISCO) contrast-enhanced (CE) magnetic resonance angiography for anterolateral thigh (ALT) flap transplantation, using operative findings as a reference. Materials and Methods Thirty patients (21 males and nine females; mean age ± standard deviation, 45.5 ± 15.6 years) who were scheduled to undergo reconstruction with ALT flaps between June 2020 and June 2021 were included in the prospective study. Before ALT flap transplantation, patients were scanned using CE-DISCO imaging. All acquired DISCO images of the 60 lower limbs (both sides from each patient) were analyzed using maximum intensity projection and volume rendering methods. Two experienced radiologists were employed to examine the patterns of the lateral circumflex femoral artery (LCFA), its branches, and perforators and their skin termini, which were compared with the operative findings. Results Using CE-DISCO, the patterns of the LCFA and its branches were clearly identified in all patients. Four different origins of the LCFA were found among the 60 blood vessels: type I (44/60, 73.3%), type II (6/60, 10.0%), type III (8/60, 13.3%), and type IV (2/60, 3.3%). Owing to a lack of perforators entering the skin, two patients did not undergo ALT flap transplantation. For the remaining 28 patients, the ALT flaps in 26 patients were successfully operated without flap re-selection during the operation, while the remaining two patients underwent other surgical procedures due to the thin diameter of the perforator or injury of the perforator during the operation. The success rate of flap transplantation was 92.8% (26/28). All transplanted flaps exhibited good blood supply and achieved primary healing without infection or delayed healing. Conclusion CE-DISCO imaging can be an effective method for preoperative perforator imaging before ALT flap transplantation.
