Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical characteristics and treatment outcomes of glaucoma secondary to congenital ectropion uveae (CEU) using penetrating Schlemm's canaloplasty. Methods: This was a retrospective case series study. Medical records of patients diagnosed with glaucoma secondary to CEU and undergoing penetrating Schlemm's canaloplasty at the Eye Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University between August 2020 and December 2021 were collected. Clinical characteristics including the extent and location of iris ectropion, type of glaucoma, were analyzed. Follow-up visits were conducted at 1, 3, 6 months, and 1 year postoperatively. Visual acuity, intraocular pressure (IOP), anterior segment and fundus condition, filtering bleb morphology, use of IOP-lowering medications, ultrasound biomicroscopy results, and other indicators were analyzed to summarize surgical outcomes. Results: Six cases (6 eyes) of glaucoma secondary to CEU were included, all unilateral, with 3 left eyes and 3 right eyes; median age was 10.0 (5.3, 28.8) years; including 3 males and 3 females. Preoperative IOP was (31.7±10.0) mmHg (1 mmHg=0.133 kPa), and the preoperative number of IOP-lowering medications used was 2.0 (2.0, 3.2). The extent of iris ectropion in the 6 cases ranged from 270 ° to 360 °, with peripheral anterior synechiae corresponding to the location of iris ectropion, and angle closure with the degree of synechiae extending beyond Schwalbe's line. No surgical complications occurred in any of the 6 cases postoperatively. At 1 month postoperatively, the IOP was (16.4±3.2) mmHg, with a median of 0.0 (0.0, 1.5) medications used. At 3 months postoperatively, the IOP was (14.8±6.0) mmHg, with a median of 0.0 (0.0, 2.2) medications used. At 6 months postoperatively, the IOP was (18.1±6.1) mmHg, with a median of 0.0 (0.0, 0.5) medications used. Among them, 5 patients had a follow-up period of 1 year postoperatively, all achieving controlled IOP without the use of IOP-lowering medications, with an average IOP of (15.5±3.1) mmHg. No obvious filtering bleb formation was observed at the surgical site in all patients. Conclusions: Glaucoma secondary to CEU manifests primarily as closed-angle glaucoma, with a correspondence between the closure range of anterior iris adhesions in the angle and the extent of iris ectropion. Penetrating Schlemm's canaloplasty demonstrates favorable and stable efficacy for its treatment.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the efficacy and safety of Rivaroxaban in preventing catheter related thrombosis (CRT) in patients with breast cancer who are undergoing central venous catheter chemotherapy, and provide basis for making standardized prevention and treatment strategies. Methods: In this research, a prospective cohort study was adopted, and breast cancer patients who received central venous catheter chemotherapy in Sanhuan Cancer Hospital during September 2020 to March 2022 were selected as a treatment group to take the rivaroxaban anticoagulation therapy with 10 mg.po.qd for one month. The control group got no preventive anticoagulation therapy. Vascular ultrasound examination was taken to confirm the occurrence of CRT, and a chi-square test was done for comparison the disparity between the groups. Logistic regression was applied to analyze the univariate and multivariate factors for the formation of CRT. Results: In the research, a total of 235 patients were selected, and there were a total of 19 035 days of catheterization with 81 days of catheterization on average. While in the control group, the incidence of CRT was 28.0% (33/118), the incidence of CRT in the treatment group was 20.5% (24/117), the difference was no significant (P=0.183). Subgroup analysis results showed that the peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) was performed in 165 cases with the CRT incidence of 18.2% (30/165) and thrombosis was mostly seen around axillary vein, accounting for 63.3%. Subclavian vein catheterization was performed in 63 cases with the CRT incidence of 39.7% (25/63), and thrombosis was mostly seen around subclavian vein, accounting for 88.0% (22/25). Implantable venous access port was implanted in 7 cases around subclavian vein and internal jugular vein with the CRT incidence of 28.6% (2/7). The patients who developed CRT within 30 days after catheterization accounted for 54.4% (31/57), 22.8% (13/57) in a period during 30 days and 60 days) and 22.8% (13/57) in a period during 60 days and 180 days). The diagnosed CRT patients had been treated with rivaroxaban 15 mg.bid.po for 3 months. During the 3 months, 100.0% of the thrombosis waned, 71.9% (41/57) of the thrombosis waned within 30 days, 19.3% (11/57) in a period during 30 and 60days and 8.8% (5/57) in a period during 60 days and 90 days. Univariate and multivariate analysis indicated that the risk of CRT in subclavian vein catheterization was higher than that in PICC, respectively (OR=2.898, 95% CI:1.386-6.056 P=0.005), and the type of catheterization was an independent factor for the formation of thrombosis. Safety analysis result showed that in the prevention of CRT, rivaroxaban treatment did not induce drug-related bleeding, liver function damage, bone marrow suppression or any other side effects. While CRT diagnosed patients were treated with anticoagulation, they kept the central venous catheter, and the infusion was smooth. These patients all finished the anti-tumor treatment as planned, and no abnormalities like new thrombosis or pulmonary embolism were observed. Conclusions: In the mid-term analysis, the proportion of Rivaroxaban in preventing anticoagulant CRT decreases, but it don't reach statistical significance. The sample size should be further increased for observation. Rivaroxaban is proved effective and very safe in the treatment of CRT, and does not affect the concurrent chemotherapy. Medical personnel should carry out the policy of "early prevention, early detection and early treatment" for CRT so as to improve the patients' quality of life.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate whether heat shock protein 90 (HSP90) participates in the necroptosis of C57BL/6 mouse neurons and spatial memory impairment induced by Aluminum maltol [Al (mal) (3)] through RIP1/RIP3/MLKL pathway. Methods: In March 2022, Thirty-two C57 mice were randomly divided into control group, Low dose group, a medium dose group, and a high-dose group, with 8 mice in each group, and injected intraperitoneally with physiological saline, 20, 40, and 80, respectivelyμmol/kgAl (mal) (3) was administered, it was injected 5 days a week and discontinued 2 days for 60 days. Morris water maze test was used to test the spatial learning and memory ability of mice. Nissl staining was used to observe the pathological changes of brain tissue. The protein expression levels of RIP1, RIP3, MLKL and HSP90 in hippocampus were determined by Western blotting. Results: In the water maze experiment, compared with the control group, the number of mice crossing the platform decreased in each dose group, the difference was statistically significant (H=9.50, P=0.023), and the number of mice crossing the platform was statistically significant among each dose group (P <0.05). Compared with the control group, the number of hippocampal nerve cells in each dose group decreased, the arrangement was disordered, and the Nissellite bodies decreased. Western blotting results showed that compared with the control group, the expression level of RIP1 protein in the hippocampus of mice in high-dose group was higher, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The expression levels of RIP3, MLKL and HSP90 in hippocampal tissue of mice in medium and high dose groups were increased, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After siRNA intervention decreased the expression of HSP90 protein, the expressions of HSP90, RIP1, RIP3 and MLKL in Al (mal) (3) groups were increased, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05) . Conclusion: Through RIP1/RIP3/MLKL pathway, HSP90 is involved in neuronal programmed necrosis and spatial memory impairment induced by maltol aluminum in C57 mice.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Glucocorticoid therapy is now recommended as an adjunctive treatment for severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS). However, no criteria for identifying patients suitable for receiving glucocorticoid therapy, nor recommended regimens to achieve clinical benefit were defined. METHODS A retrospective study was performed to include patients with confirmed SFTS from designated hospitals. The effect of glucocorticoids in reducing case fatality rate (CFR) and improving clinical recovery was evaluated by multivariate logistic regression models. RESULTS A total of 2,478 eligible patients were analyzed, of whom 331 received glucocorticoids. An integrated parameter (L-index) based on Log10(LDH*BUN/LYM) was constructed to discriminate disease severity. In patients with L-index >3.823 indicating severe SFTS, significantly reduced CFR was observed in patients receiving low-moderate glucocorticoid doses with ≤60 mg daily methylprednisolone or equivalent (OR 0.46, 95% CI, 0.23-0.88), while not in the high dose group. In patients with L-index ≤3.823 indicating mild SFTS, glucocorticoid treatment was significantly associated with increased CFR (OR 3.34, 95% CI, 1.35-9.51), and mainly attributable to high-dose glucocorticoids (OR 2.83, 95% CI, 1.72-4.96). Disaggregated data analysis revealed significant effect only in patients of ≤65 years old, male, and early admission within 7 days after onset, but not in their counterparts. CONCLUSIONS Glucocorticoids are not recommended for mild patients defined by L-index<3.823, however, severe SFTS patients may benefit from low-moderate doses of glucocorticoids.

Abstract
Objective: We sought to investigate the clinical characteristics and risk factors of antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) complicated by autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA). Methods: Retrospective anaysis.Three hundred fifteen consecutive patients with APS were enrolled at the Department of Rheumatology of Peking Union Medical College Hospital between May 2017 to May 2021, and their clinical manifestations[including initial symptoms, time interval between APS onset and diagnosis, systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE), thrombotic events, obstetric morbidity, and extra-criteria manifestations] and laboratory test results[including blood routine, antiphospholipid antibodies(aPLs), blood lipid profile, homocysteine, anti-nuclear antibody profile, immunoglobulin levels, and complement levels] were collected. Then, univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed. Clinical features and risk factors were analyzed using univariable and multivariable logistic regression analysis. Results: Among 315 APS patients, 37 cases (11.7%) were complicated by AIHA, and AIHA was the first manifestation or co-occurrence. The median time interval between APS onset and diagnosis was 12 months. The proportion of SLE in APS patients combined with AIHA was higher than that in APS patients without AIHA[62.2%(23/37) vs. 19.4%(54/278), P<0.001]. There was no significant difference in the proportions of thrombosis and pregnancy morbidity between the two groups. In terms of extra-criteria manifestations, APS patients with AIHA had a significantly (P<0.05) greater risk of thrombocytopenia (OR=6.19, 95%CI 2.81-13.65) and higher proportions of hypocomplementemia, a positive lupus anticoagulant (LA) result, double aPLs positivity[i.e., any two of the following antibodies were positive: LA, anticardilolipin antibody(aCL), and anti-β2 glycoprotein Ⅰ(β2GPⅠ)], and triple aPLs positivity (i.e., LA, aCL, and anti-β2GPⅠ antibodies were all positive). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that SLE (OR=3.46,95%CI 1.60-7.48), thrombocytopenia (OR=2.56,95%CI 1.15-5.67), and hypocomplementemia (OR=4.29,95%CI 2.03-9.04) were independent risk factors for the complication of APS. In the primary APS subgroup, multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that livedo reticularis (OR=10.51,95%CI 1.06-103.78), thrombocytopenia (OR=3.77, 95%CI 1.23-11.57), and hypocomplementemia (OR=5.92,95%CI 1.95-17.95) were independent risk factors for the complication of APS. Conclusions: AIHA is not rare in APS patients; moreover, it occurs more frequently in APS secondary to SLE and is more likely to present with a variety of extra-criteria manifestations. Patients with AIHA should be promptly tested for antiphospholipid antibody profiles and alerted to the possibility of thrombotic events.

Abstract
Objective: To determine the situation of myopia among primary and junior high school students from 2019 to 2021 in Yinzhou District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. Methods: Cross-sectional study. Department of Ophthalmology, The Affiliated People's Hospital of Ningbo University, carried out a cross-sectional study by reviewing the results of five times visual acuity screens among primary and junior high school students from 2019 to 2021 in Yinzhou District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. The myopia rate, High myopia rate and spherical equivalent refraction were calculated according to the uncorrected distance visual acuity and non-cycloplegic subjective refraction. Chi-square test and analysis of variance were used to analysis the difference of myopia among term, sex and eye. Results: The visual acuity screen had been completed five times from 2019 to 2021 in Yinzhou District, with a total of 458 654 people, of which 454 812 people met the inclusion criteria. The myopia rate of each screen is 56.6%(50 443/89 122),52.5%(48 463/92 311),63.7%(57 968/91 002),53.2%(48 351/90 886),64.4%(58 920/91 491). The rate of Myopia increased gradually with promoting to high grade, and it was obviously in low grade,up to 17.6%. Conclusion: The myopia rate of primary and junior high school students was raising volatility from 2019 to 2021 in Yinzhou District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province.

Abstract
Objective: To examine the application effect of the modified wire-loop snare technique in retrieving severely tilted inferior vena cava filters (IVCF). Methods: The clinical data of 18 patients (12 males and 6 females, aged (62.1±13.1) years (range: 29 to 78 years)) who underwent the modified wire-loop snare technique to retrieve IVCF at the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University, Qingdao Eighth People's Hospital, and Jimo District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2017 to April 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. The applied filters included drum-type filters (OptEase in 7 cases, Aegisy in 2 cases) and conical filters (Celect in 6 cases and Denali in 3 cases). Preoperative CT angiography and intraoperative digital subtraction angiography showed that the filter was severely tilted and the hook was covered by hyperplastic intima of the vena cave vein. A modified wire-loop snare technique was used to retrieve drum-type filters and conical filters via femoral and jugular vein approaches, respectively. After successful puncture, the long sheath was placed, the 4 F (1 F≈0.33 mm) vertebral catheter and a snare were inserted through the long sheath, and the 5 F pigtail catheter was inserted simultaneously to guide a 0.035 inch soft guide-wire (260 cm in length) to pass through the top of the filter and turning back. The tip of the soft guide-wire was snared by the vertebral catheter and pulled out of the sheath. The 4 F vertebral catheter was inserted following the tip of the guide-wire to form a wire-loop using the vertebral catheter and the pigtail catheter. After fixing the tip and tail of the soft guide-wire in vitro, the long sheath was pushed forward to cut the hyperplastic intima and the hook was pulled away from the vena cava wall to retrieve the filter under the support of two catheters. Results: The filters were successfully retrieved in 17 cases, the operation time was (25.5±8.7) minutes (range: 15 to 45 minutes), no complication occured. The hook of one filter (Celect) penetrated out of the vena vava wall and the wire-loop could not pull the hook back into the vena cava. Then the filter was removed by laparotomy. Conclusion: The modified wire-loop snare technique could retrieve the severely tilted retrivable drum-type filters and conical filters, even when serve adhesion exists between the filter and the vena cava wall.

Abstract
Background Percutaneous left atrial appendage (LAA) occlusion is effective for stroke prevention in patients with atrial fibrillation. LAA can have a complex anatomy, such as multiple lobes or a large orifice, which may render it unsuitable for occlusion using regular devices. We aimed to investigate the feasibility, safety, and short-term efficacy of the small-umbrella LAmbre device for morphologically complicated LAA. Methods We retrospectively enrolled 129 consecutive patients who underwent LAA occlusion using the LAmbre device; the small-umbrella LAmbre device was used in 30 of these patients. We analyzed patients’ characteristics, procedural details, and outcomes. Results Twenty-two patients (73.3%) had multilobed (≥ 2) LAA. The umbrella of the occluder was anchored in the branch in 9 patients and in the common trunks of branches in 13 patients. The landing zone and orifice diameters were 19.0 ± 4.39 mm and 27.4 ± 3.95 mm, respectively. The sizes of the umbrella and occluder cover were 22.0 ± 3.42 mm and 34.3 ± 2.75 mm, respectively. At 3-month follow-up transesophageal echocardiography in 24 patients, no peri-device residual flow was reported. Device thrombosis was detected in one patient at 3 months and disappeared after 3 months of anticoagulation. Ischemic stroke occurred in one patient; no other adverse events were reported. Conclusions Occlusion of morphologically complicated LAA using the small-umbrella LAmbre device was feasible, safe, and effective in patients with atrial fibrillation in this study. This occluder provides an alternative for patients who cannot be treated with regular-sized LAA occlusion devices. Abstract
Background context Cervical kyphosis is a common but potentially debilitating and challenging condition. There is controversy on the optimal surgical strategy for the treatment of kyphotic cervical spondylotic myelopathy (KCSM) using either anterior approach or posterior approach. Introduction The purpose of this study was to investigate the surgical efficacy of anterior decompression with fusion (ADF) vs. posterior decompression with fixation (PDF) for the treatment of KCSM, and to further analyze the changes of cervical spinal alignment parameters and axial symptoms (AS) severity after kyphotic correction. Materials and methods We retrospectively reviewed 117 patients with KCSM who had undergone ADF (58 patients) and PDF (59 patients) between January 2016 and December 2020. Cervical spinal alignment parameters, including curvature index (CI) and C2-7 Cobb angle, were measured on the PreOP and PostOP lateral radiographs. Recovery rate was calculated based on the Japanese Orthopedic Association (JOA) score. AS severity was quantified by Neck Disability Index (NDI). A P-value less than 0.05 was considered to be significant. Results The patient mean age, gender, presenting symptoms and follow-up time were similar between the two groups (P > 0.05). However, there were statistically significant differences (P < 0.001) between the two groups regarding the operation levels, operating time and intraoperative blood loss. Analysis of PostOP follow-up data showed significant differences (P < 0.001) in CI, correction of CI, C2-7 Cobb angle, and NDI between the two groups, whereas no significant differences in JOA score (P = 0.16) and recovery rate (P = 0.14). There were significant differences (P < 0.001) in CI, C2-7 Cobb angle, JOA score, and NDI between PreOP and PostOP follow-up in each group. Correction of CI showed positive correlation with recovery of NDI in Group ADF (r = 0.51, P < 0.001), and in Group PDF (r = 0.45, P < 0.001). Conclusion Satisfied neurological improvement was obtained by ADF and PDF for patients with KCSM. Cervical kyphotic correction caused significant improvement of AS, and was more favorable with ADF than with PDF. Surgeons should pay full consideration of the merits and shortcomings of each approach when deciding on a surgical plan.

Abstract
Background: Secondary bradyarrhythmias in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) have been extensively reported. The prevalence and characteristics of primary bradyarrhythmias in HCM have yet to be investigated. Methods: We retrospectively enrolled 101 consecutive patients with HCM who were referred to the arrhythmia center from May 2010 to October 2020. The clinical features of patients with bradyarrhythmias were analyzed. Results: Twenty-nine (28.7%) patients had primary bradyarrhythmias, and six (5.9%) patients had secondary third-degree atrioventricular block (AVB). Of the 29 patients, 17 (58.6%) had sinus node dysfunction (SND), 14 (48.3%) had AVB, and two (6.9%) had both SND and AVB. The median age was 62 years old, and 69% were male. Six (20.7%) patients had left ventricular obstructive outflow tract obstruction, 15 (51.7%) had a history of syncope, and one (3.4%) had a family history of HCM. Most patients (86.2%) had New York Heart Association functional class I or II, and the median left ventricular ejection fraction was 63%. A total of 22 patients received pacemaker implantation, including 17 (77.3%) dual-chamber pacing, four (18.2%) single-chamber ventricular pacing, and one (4.5%) cardiac resynchronization therapy. Conclusions: Primary bradyarrhythmias need to be evaluated in HCM patients with arrhythmia-related symptoms. Patients with HCM might need pacemaker implantation for primary bradyarrhythmias.

Abstract
We identified relapsing fever (RF) Borrelia in 1.45% (145/10426) of the ticks and 1.40% (40/2850) of the wild mammals in a field investigation in China. Three RF Borrelia species, including human-pathogenic Borrelia miyamotoi, Borrelia persica and unclassified Babesia sp. were determined. Main species determined from ticks was B. miyamotoi (44.14%), followed by the unclassified Borrelia sp. (42.76%), and Borrelia theileri (13.10%). In wild mammals, main species found was B. persica (57.50%), followed by the unclassified Borrelia sp. (40.00%), and B. miyamotoi (2.50%). We determined B. theileri and B. persica in China for the first time. The coexistence of RF Borrelia species in one tick species in a given region was observed, with the most frequent coexistence seen for B. miyamotoi and the unclassified Borrelia sp. in Dermacentor silvarum, Haemaphysalis japonica, Haemaphysalis longicornis, and Ixodes persulcatuss respectively. The wide distribution and high variety of RF Borrelia in China pose a potential threat to public health.

Abstract
The planting effect and the planting potential of 12 cover crops (Leguminous: alfalfa, smooth vetch, hairy vetch, red clover, white clover, common vetch; non-leguminous: sudangrass, green radish, Nitro radish, rape, kale, endive) in the Sanjiang Plain of Northeast China were comprehensively evaluated by soil penetration resistance, pre-winter biomass, root characteristics, and plant nitrogen accumulation. The results showed that all the 12 cover crops grew normally during the experimental sowing period. Compared with the control, all the cover crops successfully reduced soil compactness. The planting of green radish, nitro radish, and sudangrass decreased soil penetration resistance by 47.1%, 43.4% and 33.4%, respectively. The pre-winter total fresh biomass of cover crop populations was between 3.38 and 13.98 kg·m-2, and the total dry matter mass was between 0.78 and 2.43 kg·m-2. The biomass of non-leguminous cover crops was significantly higher than that of the leguminous cover crops. The group roots of radish, rape and endive had large volumes. In particular, the nitro radish roots had a vo-lume of 4018.5 cm3·m-2, and the root system of sudangrass extended over the widest horizontal range. The ash content of leguminous cover crops was significantly lower than that of non-leguminous species, which could provide more organic matter with high decomposability. The total nitrogen accumulation of cover crops varied from 18.72 to 53.09 g·m-2. Kale and endive accumulated the highest amount of nitrogen and large biomass, which could facilitate nitrogen fixation and accumulation. According to the type of main crops in Sanjiang Plain and canopy structure, planting leguminous (clover, vetch, and alfalfa) and non-leguminous (radish, kale and sudangrass) cover crops to plant inter-row or in a line mixed cropping pattern could regulate soil structure and promote nutrient cycing, with positive effects on the fertility of black soil in the Sanjiang Plain.

Abstract
Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) is an emerging hemorrhagic fever acquired by tick bites. Whether mast cells (MCs), the body's first line of defense against pathogens, might influence immunity or pathogenesis during SFTS virus (SFTSV) infection remained unknown. Here, we found that SFTSV can cause MC infection and degranulation, resulting in the release of the vasoactive mediators, chymase, and tryptase, which can directly act on endothelial cells, break the tight junctions of endothelial cells and threaten the integrity of the microvascular barrier, leading to microvascular hyperpermeability in human microvascular endothelial cells. Local activation of MCs (degranulation) and MC-specific proteases-facilitated endothelial damage were observed in mouse models. When MC-specific proteases were injected subcutaneously into the back skin of mice, signs of capillary leakage were observed in a dose-dependent manner. MC-specific proteases, chymase, and tryptase were tested in the serum collected at the acute phase of SFTS patients, with the higher level significantly correlated with fatal outcomes. By performing receiver operator characteristic curve (ROC) analysis, chymase was determined as a biomarker with the area under the curve value of 0.830 (95% CI = 0.745 to 0.915) for predicting fatal outcomes in SFTS. Our findings highlight the importance of MCs in SFTSV-induced disease progression and outcome. An emerging role for MCs in the clinical prognosis and blocking MC activation as a potential drug target during SFTSV infection was proposed. IMPORTANCE We revealed a pathogenic role for MCs in response to SFTSV infection. The study also identifies potential biomarkers that could differentiate patients at risk of a fatal outcome for SFTS, as well as novel therapeutic targets for the clinical management of SFTS. These findings might shed light on an emerging role for MCs as a potential drug target during infection of other viral hemorrhagic fever diseases with similar host pathology as SFTS.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical features, treatment and prognosis of chronic eosinophilic pneumonia. Methods: Nine patients with chronic eosinophilic pneumonia diagnosed in Shandong Provincial Qianfoshan Hospital from January 2014 to December 2020 were enrolled and followed up. The data of clinically proven chronic eosinophilic pneumonia were reviewed. Results: The 9 cases included one male and eight females, aged from 16 to 71 years (median 47 years). Among them, 5 cases were complicated with asthma, 1 case was complicated with allergic rhinitis, and 1 case had an allergic history of pollen. All the patients had cough, expectoration, chest tightness and wheezing, and a few had fatigue (3/9), fever (1/9) and chest pain (1/9). Single or multiple patchy high-density shadows (9/9), mediastinal lymphadenopathy (7/9), air bronchogram (2/9), and reticular shadow (1/9) were observed in chest CT. Peripheral eosinophils (EOS) and serum total IgE increased to varying degrees in the 9 patients. Meanwhile, the bronchoscopy of 5 cases showed elevated percentage of eosinophils in alveolar lavage fluid, and the lung biopsy of remaining 4 cases showed EOS infiltration in lung alveolar and interstitium. After receiving glucocorticoid therapy for 0.5 to 1 month, the clinical symptoms of all 9 patients had been improved and lung lesions on CT scans had been obviously absorbed. Four cases relapsed during follow-up. Conclusions: For patients especially women who have a history of allergy, elevated blood eosinophils and serum total IgE with pulmonary high-density shadow or consolidation, chronic eosinophilic pneumonia should be considered, and bronchoscopy or percutaneous lung biopsy is indicated for a definite diagnosis. Glucocorticoid therapy is effective, but the rate of recurrence is high.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES This study aimed to assess the depression and anxiety status and their association with sleep disturbance among one single center Chinese inpatients with arrhythmia and help cardiologists better identify patients who need psychological care. METHODS A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 495 inpatients with arrhythmia treated in Fuwai Hospital from October to December 2019. The psychological status and sleep quality were assessed using the Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), the Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Multivariate logistic regression was used to identify the potential risk factors for anxiety and depression. RESULTS The mean age of the participants was 52.8 ± 14.4 years, and 58.0% were male. Approximately 18.3% were in an anxious state, and 33.5% were in a depressive state. In multivariate logistic regression, age from 50 to 59 (p = 0.03), unemployment (p = 0.026) and sleep disturbance (p < 0.001) were the risk factors for anxiety status. Cardiac implanted electronic devices (CIEDs) (p = 0.004) and sleep disturbance (p < 0.001) were the risk factors for depression status. A total of 150 patients (30.3%) were categorized as having poor sleep quality (PSQI > 7). The adjusted odds ratio (OR) of having poor sleep quality was 4.30-fold higher in patients with both anxiety and depression (OR: 4.30; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 2.52-7.35); 2.67-fold higher in patients with depression (OR: 2.67; 95% CI: 1.78-4.00); and 3.94-fold higher in patients with anxiety (OR: 3.94; 95% CI: 2.41-6.44). CONCLUSIONS Psychological intervention is critical for Chinese inpatients with arrhythmia, especially for patients aged 50-59, unemployed, or those using CIEDs. Poor sleep quality could be an important risk factor linked to psychological disturbances.

Abstract
Background: A variety of supraventricular arrhythmias (SVAs) may occur in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). The characteristics and long-term ablation outcomes of different types of SVAs in HCM have not been comprehensively investigated. Methods: We retrospectively enrolled 101 consecutive patients with HCM who were referred to the electrophysiology and arrhythmia service from May 2010 to October 2020. The clinical features and ablation outcomes were analyzed. Results: Seventy-eight patients had SVAs, which comprised 50 (64.1%) cases of atrial fibrillation (AF), 16 (20.5%) of atrial flutter (AFL), 15 (19.2%) of atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia (AVRT), 11 (14.1%) of atrial arrhythmia (AT), and 3 (3.8%) of atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT). Thirty-four patients underwent catheter ablation and were followed up for a median (interquartile range) of 58.5 (82.9) months. There was no recurrence in patients with non-AF SVAs. In patients with AF, the 1- and 7-year AF-free survival rates were 87.5 and 49.5%, respectively. A receiver operator characteristic analysis showed that a greater left ventricular end-diastolic dimension (LVEDD) was associated with a higher recurrence of AF, with an optimum cutoff value of 47 mm (c-statistic = 0.91, p = 0.011, sensitivity = 1.00, specificity = 0.82). In Kaplan-Meier analysis, patients with a LVEDD ≥ 47 mm had worse AF-free survival than those with a LVEDD <47 mm (log-rank p = 0.014). Conclusions: In this unique population of HCM, AF was the most common SVA, followed in order by AFL, AVRT, AT, and AVNRT. The long-term catheter ablation outcome for non-AF SVAs in HCM is satisfactory. A greater LVEDD predicts AF recurrence after catheter ablation in patients with HCM.

Abstract
Esophageal cancer is an exceedingly aggressive and malignant cancer that imposes a substantial burden on patients and their families. It is usually treated with surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and molecular-targeted therapy. Immunotherapy is a novel treatment modality for esophageal cancer wherein genetically engineered adoptive cell therapy is utilized, which modifies immune cells to attack cancer cells. Using chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) or T cell receptor (TCR) modified T cells yielded demonstrably encouraging efficacy in patients. CAR-T cell therapy has shown robust clinical results for malignant hematological diseases, particularly in B cell-derived malignancies. Natural killer (NK) cells could serve as another reliable and safe CAR engineering platform, and CAR-NK cell therapy could be a more generalized approach for cancer immunotherapy because NK cells are histocompatibility-independent. TCR-T cells can detect a broad range of targeted antigens within subcellular compartments and hold great potential for use in cancer therapy. Numerous studies have been conducted to evaluate the efficacy and feasibility of CAR and TCR based adoptive cell therapies (ACT). A comprehensive understanding of genetically-modified T cell technologies can facilitate the clinical translation of these adoptive cell-based immunotherapies. Here, we systematically review the state-of-the-art knowledge on genetically-modified T-cell therapy and provide a summary of preclinical and clinical trials of CAR and TCR-transgenic ACT.

Abstract
Chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cell therapy has exhibited a substantial clinical response in hematological malignancies, including B-cell leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. Therefore, the feasibility of using CAR-T cells to treat solid tumors is actively evaluated. Currently, multiple basic research projects and clinical trials are being conducted to treat lung cancer with CAR-T cell therapy. Although numerous advances in CAR-T cell therapy have been made in hematological tumors, the technology still entails considerable challenges in treating lung cancer, such as on−target, of−tumor toxicity, paucity of tumor-specific antigen targets, T cell exhaustion in the tumor microenvironment, and low infiltration level of immune cells into solid tumor niches, which are even more complicated than their application in hematological tumors. Thus, progress in the scientific understanding of tumor immunology and improvements in the manufacture of cell products are advancing the clinical translation of these important cellular immunotherapies. This review focused on the latest research progress of CAR-T cell therapy in lung cancer treatment and for the first time, demonstrated the underlying challenges and future engineering strategies for the clinical application of CAR-T cell therapy against lung cancer.

Abstract
The laminar tissue of bovine laminitis may undergo energy failure. The expression of glucose transport protein-1 (GLUT-1) and 5'-adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase (AMPK) affects the energy metabolism of digital laminar tissue. This study aimed to determine the expression of glucose uptake and AMPK in laminar wall corium of Holstein heifer claw by oral administration of oligofructose. A total of twelve clinically healthy Holstein heifers were selected and divided into two groups, including control (CON, n = 6) and experimental (OF, n = 6) groups. The heifers of OF group were given 17 g/kg BW oligofructose dissolved in water (20 mL/kg BW) and the heifers of CON group were given water only (20 mL/kg BW). The laminar tissues were collected after euthanasia. The amount of protein and transcript expression of AMPK and GLUT-1 were determined by western blot and quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR), respectively. Expressions of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxy-kinase (PEPCK), receptor-c coactivator1-α (PGC-1α) and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-γ (PPAR-γ) were determined by qRT-PCR. The heifers of OF group showed no significant change in the expression and concentration of AMPK. The phosphor-(Thr172) AMPK and GLUT-1 were significantly decreased, while the gene contents of PPAR-γ and PGC-1α were significantly increased. The activation of AMPK and GLUT-1 in digital laminar tissues of heifers was inhibited, which may contribute to digital laminar tissue damage.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
A variety of supraventricular arrhythmias (SVAs) may occur in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). The characteristics and long-term ablation outcomes of different types of SVAs in HCM have not been comprehensively investigated.
Methods
We retrospectively enrolled 101 consecutive symptomatic HCM patients with suspected arrhythmia from May 2010 to October 2020. The clinical features and ablation outcomes of patients with SVAs were further analyzed.
Results
Seventy-eight patients had SVAs, consisting of 50 (64.1%) atrial fibrillation (AF), 16 (20.5%) atrial flutter (AFL), 15 (19.2%) atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia (AVRT), 11 (14.1%) atrial arrhythmia (AT), and 3 (3.8%) atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT). Thirty-four patients underwent catheter ablation including 14 for AF, 9 for AVRT, 6 for AFL, 3 for AVNRT, 1 for both AF and AFL, and 1 for both AF and AVRT. They were followed up for a median (interquartile range) of 58.5 (82.9) months. There were no recurrences for patients with non-AF SVAs. For patients with AF, the 1- and 7-year AF-free survival were 87.5% and 49.5%, respectively. A ROC analysis revealed that a greater left ventricular end-diastolic dimension (LVEDD) was associated with higher recurrence of AF with an optimum cutoff value of 47mm (c-statistic = 0.91, p=0.011, sensitivity = 1.00, specificity = 0.82). In Kaplan-Meier analysis, patients with LVEDD ≥47mm had worse AF-free survival (log-rank p=0.014).
Conclusions
AF is the most common SVA in HCM, with AFL, AVRT, AT, and AVNRT ranking the second to the last according to the prevalence. The long-term catheter ablation outcome for non-AF SVAs in HCM is satisfying. A greater LVEDD predicts AF recurrence after catheter ablation in patients with HCM.

Abstract
Owing to its potential biological relevance, DNA G-quadruplex has been considered as a prospective anti-cancer target. Some known G-quadruplex-interactive N-containing compounds with low cytotoxicity have become prospective anticancer drugs. Here we reported a new type of N-containing alkaloids 3,8a-disubstituted indolizinones, and investigated their substituent effects at 3- and 8a-positions in targeting to DNA c-myc G-quadruplex. And then we used 3-naphtyl-8a-(pyridin-2-yl) substrate I8 as an example, and investigated its ability in targeting to DNA parallel G-quadruplexes in vitro.

Abstract
Aim: This study aimed to explore the genetic and epigenetic similarities between chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). Materials & methods: We mainly used Weighted correlation network analysis, protein-protein interaction network and pivot analysis to identify hub modules, bridge regulators, bridge genes and hub-driving genes in both diseases and carried out verifying using external datasets. Results: We identified eight bridge regulators, 19 key molecules in the COPD model and ten key molecules in the LUAD model. Moreover, we validated that CDC5L could be a reliable biomarker in COPD and may regulate cell proliferation and metastasis in LUAD via promoter methylation. Conclusion: Our results might form a theoretical foundation for future study at an epigenetic level.

Abstract
Background The aim of this study was to explore the expression levels of family with sequence similarity 83, member A (FAM83A) in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) and investigate its clinical prognostic value. Material/Methods Bioinformatics mining methods were used to predict the differential expression levels of FAM83A mRNA in LUAD and normal lung tissues based on the TCGA and Oncomine databases. Immunohistochemical staining was performed to demonstrate the FAM83A protein expression levels in 83 cases of LUAD combined with paired normal lung tissues. The correlation between clinicopathologic factors and FAM83A differential expression levels in LUAD was explored by the chi-square test. Kaplan-Meier univariate and Cox multivariate survival analyses were performed to investigate the clinical prognostic value of FAM83A expression in LUAD patients. Results Results from TCGA and Oncomine databases revealed that FAM83A mRNA expression level was significantly higher in LUAD than that in normal lung tissues (both P<0.05). Immunohistochemical findings demonstrated that the high positive rate of FAM83A in LUAD was 73.49% (61/83), while that of matched normal lung tissues was only 22.89% (19/83). Moreover, LUAD patients with FAM83A mRNA or high protein levels had dramatically lower OS times than those with FAM83A mRNA or low protein levels (All P<0.05). Lastly, Cox multivariate survival analysis showed that FAM83A differential expression level (low vs. high) was the only independent factor predicting the prognosis of LUAD patients (P=0.001). Conclusions FAM83A was overexpressed in LUAD, and FAM83A overexpression could be used as an independent factor of poor prognosis in LUAD patients.

Chirality at a supramolecular level is currently attracting great attention attributed to rapid developments in supramolecular chemistry. Herein, we report a new type of chiral self-assembly based on the cyanine dye MTC. The chiral H-aggregates of MTC could form spontaneously from achiral J-aggregates, and could return back to achiral J-aggregates in high concentration on increasing the solution temperature. Abstract
Objective: To investigate the prevalence on imaging, topographic distribution and risk factors of perivascular space (PVS) in community population. Methods: This study was based on the population of Shunyi Study in China from June 2013 to September 2016. One thousand two hundred and thirty-two stroke free participants older than 35 years, who completed cerebral MRI, were included. Cardiovascular risk factors were assessed by interview, physical examination and blood sample tests. PVS were evaluated on high-resolution 3-dimensional-T1WI, T2WI and FLAIR sequences. On T1WI, PVS were detected according to 3D imaging criteria. The number and anatomic location of large PVS (≥3 mm) were recorded. And severity of PVS was then semiquantitatively graded in both white matter (WM) and basal ganglia (BG). Associations between risk factors and PVS were analyzed by multinominal Logistic regression models and adjusted for age, gender and relevant confounders. Results: Perivascular spaces were observed in the BG or WM in every subject, aged (55±10) years and 37.3% male. Large PVS were detected in 19.0% (460/1 232) of participants. Severity of PVS was found to be strongly associated with age in both basal ganglia (severe versus mild: OR=1.81; 95%CI 1.45-2.27, P<0.01) and white matter (OR=1.39; 95%CI 1.13-1.71, P<0.01), and the proportion of subjects with hypercholesterolemia decreased with the severity of PVS in BG (OR=0.58, P=0.01) . The present of large PVS was found to be associated with age(present versus absent: OR=1.03, 95%CI 1.02-1.05, P<0.01) and ApoE ε4 carrier genotype(OR=1.53, 95%CI 1.01-2.23, P=0.04). Conclusions: Perivascular spaces are always detected in the BG or WM in elderly people, and large PVS are also prevalent in community-based population. The risk factors are different due to distribution and size, and may depend on anatomic or pathologic characteristics.

Abstract
We propose a new simple approximate solution to the two-state rate equation model for analyzing decay signals of saturation cavity ring-down spectrometry in the adiabatic and low-saturation regime. It helps obtain baseline-immune Doppler-free spectra for hyperfine transitions and linear absorption coefficients of a gas in the saturation regime. To demonstrate it, a baseline-immune Lamb dip spectrum of the R1A2 transitions in the 2v2 + v3 band of methane was recorded. The line position was determined to be 6 076.108 457 7(11) cm-1, the relative uncertainty being 1.8 × 10-10.

Abstract
Adequate blood supply is essential for tumor survival, growth and metastasis. The tumor microenvironment (TME) is dynamic and complex, comprising cancer cells, cancer-associated stromal cells and their extracellular products. The TME serves an important role in tumor progression. Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) are the principal component of stromal cells within the TME, and contribute to tumor neo-angiogenesis by altering the proteome and degradome. The present paper reviews previous studies of the molecular signaling pathways by which CAFs promote tumor neo-angiogenesis and highlights therapeutic response targets. Also discussed are potential strategies for antitumor neo-angiogenesis to improve tumor treatment efficacy.

Abstract
We present the first results for resolving methane (CH_{4}) line transition frequencies down to the kilohertz level for overlapping lines using comb-linked cavity ring-down spectroscopy, while most available laboratory measurements, having resolution at the megahertz level, cannot separate merged lines. To demonstrate the technique, Lamb-dip spectra and linear-absorption spectra were used to identify overlapped lines of vibration-rotation spectra in the R9 multiplet of the 2v_{3} band. Three new weak lines were found for the first time. The experimental methods are extensible to other important bands of CH_{4} and many other gas-phase molecules, and should provide a more detailed understanding of molecular structure and line parameters for future high-precision studies.

Abstract
Objective This study aimed to identify the risk factors for vertebral compression
fractures in patients with osteoporosis. Methods A total of 864 patients with osteoporosis were enrolled in a retrospective
study from February 2010 to June 2016. Patients with diseases, such as
pathological fractures, high-energy direct injury to the thoracic or lumbar
vertebrae, and severe spinal deformity, were excluded. The patients were
divided into two groups: those with vertebral compression fractures (288)
and those with no vertebral compression fractures (576). Information on the
patients’ age, sex, lumbar bone mineral density (BMD), trauma, body mass
index, previous history of vertebral compression fractures, and
spondylolisthesis was recorded. Logistic regression analysis and the
chi-square test were applied for comparisons. Results Univariate logistic regression analysis and chi-square test results showed no
significant differences in age, sex, body mass index, type 2 diabetes,
previous history of vertebral fracture, and trivial trauma between the
groups. Multivariate analysis showed significant associations between
spondylolisthesis and BMD. Logistic regression analysis showed that
spondylolisthesis and BMD were risk factors for vertebral compression
fractures. Conclusions Lumbar spondylolisthesis is an independent risk factor for vertebral
compression fractures in patients with osteoporosis. Therefore, patients
with osteoporosis and lumbar spondylolisthesis require more attention.

Abstract
Human gallbladder cancer (GBC) is a lethal aggressive malignant neoplasm. Identification of potential molecular biomarkers and development of targeted therapeutics for GBC patients is very necessary. In this study, we firstly investigated the correlation between ring finger protein 125 (RNF125) expression and the metastasis and prognosis of GBC, and the underlying molecular mechanism. RNF125 expression in a cohort of GBC tissues was examined; its correlation with clinicopathological and prognostic factors of GBC patients was analyzed. Moreover, the metastasis-related difference expressed genes in highly and lowly aggressive GBC cell lines were identified; and the influence of RNF125 knockdown on the metastatic phenotypes and characteristic EMT markers in highly aggressive GBC NOZ cells was detected. Furthermore, the underlying molecular mechanism of RNF125 effect was explored. The results showed that RNF125 was highly expressed in GBC tissues and related with aggressive characteristics such as Nevin stage (P = 0.041) etc. and unfavorable prognosis of GBC patients (P = 0.023, log-rank test). And, RNF125 was proved to a positive metastasis-related gene in vitro. RNF125 knockdown inhibited the invasion and migration, enhanced the adhesion, upregulated E-cadherin and β-catenin expression, and downregulated vimentin and N-cadherin expression (all P < 0.001) of NOZ cells in vitro. RNF125 promoting effect on GBC tumor progression was identified to relate with the activation of TGF-β1-SMAD3-ID1 signaling pathway. These findings firstly confirm that high RNF125 expression is related with aggressive characteristics and unfavorable prognosis of GBC patients; RNF125 promotes the invasion and metastasis of human GBCs via activating the TGF-β1-SMAD3-ID1 signaling pathway.

Abstract
Saturation cavity ring-down spectroscopy (SCRDS) is a powerful Doppler-free spectroscopy means for measuring absolute frequencies of transitions at the ultra-low uncertainties. We report in this paper a simple way to implement it by temperature scanning the cavity length, which circumvents the need for a complex optical cavity-length stabilization system based upon a piezoelectric actuator (PZT). To demonstrate this approach, the absolute frequencies of the two transitions, R6F1 of the 2v3 and Q9A1 of the 2v2 + v3 bands, of 12CH4, are determined to be 182 185 269.362(20) MHz and 182 187 617.543(39) MHz. The accuracy of measurements is improved by about 3-4 orders of magnitude when compared to those obtained with conventional spectroscopic methods.

Abstract
Objective: To compare the difference in risks of obstetric complications of singleton pregnancy between women with hyperandrogenic polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and women with normoandrogenic PCOS. Methods: Prospective cohort study. This study was a secondary analysis of data collected during a multicenter randomized controlled clinical trial. Women who got clinical singleton pregnancy were grouped according to whether they were diagnosed with hyperandrogenism at baseline. There were 118 women with hyperandrogenism and 366 women without hyperandrogenism. The incidences of obstetric complications and birth weight were compared between the two groups. Results: Women with hyperandrogenic PCOS had a significantly higher risk of preterm delivery than women with normoandrogenic PCOS [12.7% (15/118) versus 3.6% (13/366); OR=3.94, 95%CI: 1.82-8.56]. After adjustment of age, duration of infertility, body mass index, and fresh or frozen embryo transfer group, hyperandrogenism was still associated with an increased risk of preterm delivery (OR=3.67, 95%CI: 1.67-8.07). Compared with women with normoandrogenic PCOS, women with hyperandrogenic PCOS had similar risks of pregnancy loss, gestational diabetes mellitus, pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, and postpartum hemorrhage (all P>0.05). Birth weight as well as the risks of being small for gestational age and large for gestational age were also comparable between the two groups (all P>0.05). Conclusion: In women with PCOS and singleton pregnancy, those with preconceptional hyperandrogenism have a higher risk of preterm delivery than those without hyperandrogenism.

Abstract
Objective: Characterization and evaluation of the uncertainty of the reference materials of cholesterol in aqueous solution. Methods: The certified reference material GBW09203b was weighed accurately and dissolved into methyl cyclodextrin aqueous solution to prepare six kinds of candidate reference materials of cholesterol according to the concentration. The materials were tested for homogeneity and stability using routine methods and were evaluated the uncertainty derived from the inhomogeneity and instability. The uncertainty due to measurement was derived from the purity of the raw material, the weighing and the density measurement. The certified values and expanded uncertainties were calculated according to the ISO Guide. The expanded uncertainty of the certified value was the combination of standard uncertainty of measurement, inhomogeneity and instability. The coverage factor, k, was determined from the Student's t-distribution corresponding to the calculated effective degrees of freedom and 95% level of confidence. Results: It showed that the six candidate reference materials were homogeneous and were tested to be stable for at least 1 year at -70 ℃ and -20 ℃ using the isochronous stability study. The relative uncertainties due to the inhomogeneity were 0.14%, 0.11%, 0.13%, 0.47%, 0.39% and 0.11%. The relative uncertainty due to the instability was 0.25% at -70 ℃. The uncertainties of measurement were 0.06%, 0.05%, 0.05%, 0.05%, 0.05% and 0.05%.The certified values (reference value ± expanded uncertainty, mmol/L) were as follows: (0.651±0.004), (1.310 ±0.007), (2.574±0.015), (5.210±0.055), (7.710±0.072), (10.242±0.056) mmol/L. Conclusions: Six kinds of certified reference materials for cholesterol in aqueous solution have been prepared, which were homogeneity, stable and reliable. It showed that the uncertainty of measurement was very small compared with the uncertainty due to inhomogeneity and instability.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the incidence and risk factors of symptomatic adjacent segment disease (ASD) following single-lever anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) for cervical degenerative diseases.From January 2000 to December 2010, a total of 582 patients with cervical radiculopathy and myelopathy who had undergone single-lever ACDF surgery in the authors' institution were reviewed retrospectively. Patients who had a revision surgery for symptomatic ASD were selected for this study. The authors analyzed the incidence for ASD after single-lever ACDF. And univariate analysis and logistic regression analysis were performed to identify the risk factors of ASD.Among the 582 patients, 36 patients received subsequent surgical management for ASD after initial single-lever ACDF for an overall prevalence of 6.2%. The average onset time of ASD was 8.5 (2-15) years. The univariate analysis showed that there were no significant differences in sex, duration of disease, BMI, DM, smoking, operative levels, and follow-up period (P > .05) between the 2 groups with and without ASD. There were statistically significant differences in age at the time of operation (χ = 4.361, P = .037), and developmental canal stenosis (χ = 4.181, P = .041) between patients with and without ASD. The variables of age at the time of operation and developmental canal stenosis were included in a logistic regression model. The logistic regression analysis revealed that age at the time of operation ≤50 years (P = .045, OR = 3.015, 95% CI = 1.024-8.882) and developmental canal stenosis (P = .042, OR = 2.797, 95% CI = 1.039-7.527) were the risk factors for ASD after single-lever ACDF.In the present study, the incidence of symptomatic ASD after single-lever ACDF was 6.2%. And the age at the time of operation ≤50 years and developmental canal stenosis were the risk factors for ASD. The patients ≤50 years old at the time of operation or with developmental canal stenosis are more likely to develop ASD after surgery, and the risk of reoperation will increase.

We report a new determination of the Boltzmann constant kB using a cylindrical acoustic gas thermometer. We determined the length of the copper cavity from measurements of its microwave resonance frequencies. This contrasts with our previous work (Zhang et al 2011 Int. J. Thermophys.32 1297, Lin et al 2013 Metrologia50 417, Feng et al 2015 Metrologia52 S343) that determined the length of a different cavity using two-color optical interferometry. In this new study, the half-widths of the acoustic resonances are closer to their theoretical values than in our previous work. Despite significant changes in resonator design and the way in which the cylinder length is determined, the value of kB is substantially unchanged. We combined this result with our four previous results to calculate a global weighted mean of our kB determinations. The calculation follows CODATA's method (Mohr and Taylor 2000 Rev. Mod. Phys. 72 351) for obtaining the weighted mean value of kB that accounts for the correlations among the measured quantities in this work and in our four previous determinations of kB. The weighted mean k̂B is 1.380 6484(28) × 10-23 J K-1 with the relative standard uncertainty of 2.0 × 10-6. The corresponding value of the universal gas constant is 8.314 459(17) J K-1 mol-1 with the relative standard uncertainty of 2.0 × 10-6.

Abstract
This article describes the accurate determination of the molar mass M of a sample of argon gas used for the determination of the Boltzmann constant. The method of one of the authors (Moldover et al 1988 J. Res. Natl. Bur. Stand.93 85-144) uses the ratio of the square speed of sound in the gas under analysis and in a reference sample of known molar mass. A sample of argon that was isotopically-enriched in 40Ar was used as the reference, whose unreactive impurities had been independently measured. The results for three gas samples are in good agreement with determinations by gravimetric mass spectrometry; (〈Macoustic/Mmass-spec〉 - 1) = (-0.31 ± 0.69) × 10-6, where the indicated uncertainty is one standard deviation that does not account for the uncertainties from the acoustic and mass-spectroscopy references.

Abstract
PURPOSE The cervical segmental instability often occurs simultaneously with Modic changes (MCs). However, it is unknown whether there is a relation between the two diseases. The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between MCs and cervical segmental instability, cervical curvature and range of motion (ROM) in the cervical spine. METHODS A total of 464 patients with neck pain or cervical neurologic symptoms who underwent imaging examination were analyzed retrospectively. Based on MRI imaging cervical MCs were diagnosed, and patients were divided into with or without MCs groups. The cervical curvature and range of motion were measured. We compared the incidence of cervical instability, cervical curvature and ROM between the two group patients and their relationships with MCs were studied. Logistic regression was used to study the risk factors associated with MCs. RESULTS MCs were observed in 94 of 464 patients and 122 of total 2320 cervical segments and were most frequent at C5-6 segment. The incidence of the cervical instability was significantly higher in patients with MCs than those without MCs at cervical level C3-7. In addition, cervical curvature and ROM in patients with MCs were less than those without MCs. Logistic regression analysis showed that the occurrence of cervical spine instability, less cervical curvature and ROM were risk factors for MCs. CONCLUSIONS Patients with MCs were prone to have cervical instability at the same cervical level and may have a higher possibility of less cervical curvature and ROM.

Abstract
Monema flavescens Walker (Lepidoptera: Limacodidae) is a serious polyphagous defoliator. Using scanning electron microscopy, the external morphology of the antennal sensilla of this pest was examined for a better understanding of the mechanisms of insect-insect and insect-plant chemical communications. The antennae of M. flavescens were filiform in shape, and 11 morphological types of sensilla were found in both sexes. Six types of likely chemosensory sensilla were identified: uniporous sensilla chaetica, multiporous sensilla trichodea, and four types of multiporous sensilla basiconica. The sensilla identified as likely mechanoreceptors included two subtypes of aporous sensilla chaetica, aporous sensilla coeloconica, aporous sensilla styloconica, and Böhm's bristles, whereas the position of the antennae was monitored by Böhm's bristles.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to characterize risk factors for poor surgical outcome in patients with cervical spondylotic amyotrophy (CSA). We retrospectively reviewed 88 cases of CSA surgery and investigated age, sex, duration of symptoms, atrophy type, preoperative muscle power, signal changes on MRI, anterior horn (AH) or ventral nerve root (VNR) compression, compression levels, surgical approach and postoperative recovery. Fifty (56.8%) patients had good surgical outcome. Logistic regression, with poor outcome as dependent variable, showed independent risks associated with duration of symptoms (OR; 1 for symptom duration less than 3 months versus 3.961 [95% CI; 1.203–13.039, p = 0.024] for symptom duration of 3–6 months versus 18.724 [95% CI; 3.967–88.367, p < 0.001] for symptom duration greater than 6 months), compression type (OR; 1 for VNR versus 4.931 [95% CI; 1.457–16.685, p = 0.010] for AH versus 5.538 [95% CI; 1.170–26.218, p = 0.031] for VNR + AH), and atrophy type (OR; 1 for proximal type versus 6.456 [95% CI; 1.938–21.508, p = 0.002] for distal type). These findings suggest that a long duration of symptoms, AH or both AH and VNR compression, and distal type are risk factors for poor surgical outcome in patients with CSA.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE Cervical spondylotic amyotrophy (CSA) is a relatively rare disorder. This study was conducted to elucidate the prognosis of proximal-type CSA after anterior decompressive surgery by evaluating clinical factors and imaging findings. METHODS Anterior decompressive surgery was performed in 40 patients with proximal-type CSA between March 2000 and December 2011. Patients were classified into 2 categories based on axial T2-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings: "nerve root compression (NRC)", with nerve root compressed at the intervertebral foramen, and "spinal cord compression (SCC)" with spinal cord compressed at the medial or paramedial site of spinal canal. Manual muscle testing (MMT) was used to evaluate the surgical effect. Scapular, deltoid, and biceps brachii muscles of the affected side were tested and the sum scores were calculated. Clinical factors and imaging findings, such as age, duration of disease, preoperative MMT grade, number of affected levels and signal intensity changes of spinal cord, were collected to analyze prognostic factors. RESULTS After anterior decompressive surgery, 30 patients (75%) showed an improvement. NRC was observed in 6 patients and SCC in the rest 34 patients based on MRI findings. All patients (100%) with NRC had an improvement, while only 24 patients (70.6%) with SCC improved. In patients with SCC, there was a significant difference in duration of disease between patients who had an improvement and those who had not (P< 0.01). CONCLUSIONS Anterior decompressive surgery is effective in the treatment of most patients with CSA. NRC on MRI may indicate a good surgical outcome. In patients with SCC, a long duration of disease is a risk factor for poor prognosis.

Abstract
Relative primary acoustic gas thermometry (AGT) determines the ratios of thermodynamic temperatures from measured ratios of acoustic and microwave resonance frequencies in a gas-filled metal cavity on isotherms of interest. When measured in a cavity with known dimensions, the frequencies of acoustic resonances in a gas determine the speed of sound, which is a known function of the thermodynamic temperature T. Changes in the dimensions of the cavity are measured using the frequencies of the cavity's microwave resonances. We explored techniques and materials for AGT at high temperatures using a cylindrical cavity with remote acoustic transducers. We used gas-filled ducts as acoustic waveguides to transmit sound between the cavity at high temperatures and the acoustic transducers at room temperature. Abstract
5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) is widely used in chemotherapy for treatment of colorectal cancer. Leucine-rich repeat-containing G protein-coupled receptor (LGR) is known to participate in the occurrence and development of breast cancer by regulating the rebirth of tumor vessels. This study aimed to explore the proliferation and apoptosis of HCT116 colorectal cancer cells treated with 5-FU and related molecular mechanisms. 5-FU (20 μg/mL) was used to treat cultured HCT116 cells. An MTT test, flow cytometry, and colony formation assays were used to examine the proliferation and apoptosis of HCT116 cells. Western blotting was applied to detect the expression of the LGR4 protein in HCT116 cells. Small interference RNA or over-expression techniques were used to manipulate LGR4 expression in HCT116 cells and describe the proliferation and apoptosis of HCT116 treated with 5-FU. A dosage of 20 μg/mL 5-FU resulted in a significant decrease in the proliferation and apoptosis of HCT116 cells and significantly decreased expression levels of LGR4. The specific gene silence or over-expression of LGR4 in HCT116 cells increased and decreased the levels of apoptosis in HCT116, respectively. 5-FU induces apoptosis of colorectal cancer cells and inhibits proliferation by suppressing LGR4 proteins.

Abstract
AIM: To evaluate the therapeutic effects of rhubarb on gastrointestinal dysfunction after burn shock.
METHODS: This was a prospective, randomized, controlled study. Eighty-three patients with gastrointestinal dysfunction after burn shock were randomly divided into either an observation group (42 cases) or a control group (41 cases). The effective rate, duration of gastrointestinal dysfunction, days required for achieving negative occult blood (OB) test, oxygenation index (PaO2/FiO2), alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), immunoglobulin (Ig) A, IgG, and IgM were compared for the two groups.
RESULTS: The effective rate for the observation group was significantly higher than that for the control group (88.10% vs 48.78%, P < 0.05). The duration of gastrointestinal dysfunction and days required for achieving negative OB test were significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group (1.16 d ± 0.56 d vs 3.48 d ± 0.77 d, 3.894 d ± 0.857 d vs 4.617 d ± 1.112 d, P < 0.05). The levels of PaO2/FiO2, serum creatinine (SCr), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), ALT, AST, and IgM for the observation group were better after intervention than before intervention (P < 0.05). The levels of SCr, BUN, and IgM for the control group were better after intervention than before intervention (P < 0.05). The levels of PaO2/FiO2, SCr, BUN, ALT, and AST after intervention were better in the observation group than in the control group (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSION: Treatment with rhubarb shortens the duration of gastrointestinal dysfunction and the days required for achieving negative OB test in patients with gastrointestinal dysfunction after burn shock, suggesting that rhubarb can protect the gastric mucosa and enhance gastrointestinal tract motility.

Abstract
We report the discovery of multiferroic behavior in double perovskite Y2NiMnO6. X-ray diffraction shows that the material has a centrosymmetric crystal structure of space group P2(1)/n with Ni(2+)/Mn(4+) ordering. This result is further confirmed by aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy combined with atomic resolution electron energy loss spectroscopy. The appearance of ferroelectric polarization coincides with the magnetic phase transition (∼67 K), which indicates that the ferroelectricity is driven by magnetism, and this is further confirmed by its strong magnetoelectric (ME) effect. We proposed the origin of the ferroelectricity is associated with the combination of Ni(2+)/Mn(4+) charge ordering and the ↑↑↓↓ spin ordering. When compared with other known magnetic multiferroics, Y2NiMnO6 displays several attractive multiferroic properties, including high polarization (∼145 μC/m(2)), a high multiferroic transition temperature (∼67 K), and strong ME coupling (∼21%).

Abstract
BACKGROUND Aliskiren is a widely used therapy for patients with hypertension, however, the effect of aliskiren on major cardiovascular outcomes is a matter of debate. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of aliskiren therapy on major cardiovascular outcomes by this meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials. METHODS We searched PubMed, EmBase, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials for relevant literature. All eligible studies were randomized controlled trials assessing the effect of aliskiren therapy compared with patients without aliskiren therapy. Relative risks (RRs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were used to measure the effect of aliskiren therapy on major cardiovascular outcomes with a random-effect model. RESULTS We included six trials reporting data on 12,465 patients. These studies reported 1,886 occurrences of major cardiovascular events, 1,074 events of total mortality, 739 events of cardiac death, 366 events of myocardial infarction, and 319 events of stroke. Aliskiren therapy had no effect on major cardiovascular events (RR, 0.93; 95% CI: 0.77-1.13; P=0.47), total mortality (RR, 1.00; 95% CI: 0.77-1.29; P=1.00), cardiac death (RR, 1.01; 95% CI: 0.79-1.29; P=0.95), myocardial infarction (RR, 0.71; 95% CI: 0.36-1.38; P=0.31), or stroke (RR, 0.87; 95% CI: 0.48-1.58; P=0.64). CONCLUSION Aliskiren therapy does not have an effect on the incidence of major cardiovascular events, total mortality, cardiac death, myocardial infarction, or stroke.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to perform a meta-analysis comparing the effectiveness and safety of anticoagulation to antiplatelet therapy for the prevention of thromboembolic events in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). MEDLINE, Cochrane, EMBASE, and Google Scholar databases were searched for studies published through May 31, 2014. Randomized controlled trials comparing anticoagulants (warfarin) and antiplatelet therapy in patients with AF were included. The primary outcomes were the rates of stroke and systemic embolism. Secondary outcomes included the rates of hemorrhage/major bleeding and death. Pooled odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated. Nine reports of 8 trials that enrolled 4363 patients (2169 patients received anticoagulation and 2194 antiplatelet therapy) were included. All of the studies compared adjusted-dose warfarin or with aspirin, and the majority of the patients were >70 years of age. Anticoagulants were titrated to an international normalized ratio (INR) of 2.0 to 4.5, and aspirin was administered at a dosage of 75 to 325 mg/d. Death occurred in 206 participants treated with an anticoagulant and 229 participants treated with antiplatelet therapy. There was no significant difference in the overall stroke rate between the groups (OR = 0.667, 95% CI 0.426-1.045, P = 0.08); however, patients with nonrheumatic AF (NRAF) treated with an anticoagulant had a lower risk of stroke (OR = 0.557, 95% CI 0.411-0.753, P < 0.001). Anticoagulants were associated with a lower risk of embolism (OR = 0.616, 95% CI = 0.392-0.966, P = 0.04), and this finding persisted in patients with NRAF (OR = 0.581, 95% CI 0.359-0.941, P = 0.03). No significant difference in the rate of hemorrhage/major bleeding was noted (OR = 1.497, 95% CI 0.730-3.070, P = 0.27), and this finding persisted on subgroup analysis. Anticoagulants appear to be more effective than aspirin in preventing embolisms in patients with AF, as the risk of bleeding is not increased.

Abstract
In this study, we studied the effect of triptolide (TPL) on locomotor function in rats with spinal cord injury. A total of 40 rats were studied after dividing them in two major groups, one was experimental group denoted as TPL group while other was control group denoted as PBS group. Each group was subdivided in four subgroups having five rats each (n = 5). TPL was given intraperitonially at the rate of 5 mg/kg/day in TPL group while PBS was given at the same time interval in the same manner in control group for comparison. A reduction in the cavity area of tissue sections was observed by bright field microscopy from 0.22 ± 0.05 to 0.12 ± 0.05 mm(2) in experimental group after 28 days of treatment while BBB score also improved from 1 to 5 after 14 days of treatment. SPSS software, one way ANOVA, was used for recording statistical analysis and values were expressed as mean ± SEM where P value of <0.01 was considered significant. The expression of I-kBα and NF-kB p65 was also studied using western blotting and after recording optical density (OD) values of western blots. It was observed that treatment with TPL significantly reduced the expression of these factors after 28 days of treatment compared with controls.

Abstract
Currently, there exists only one set of experimental results at temperatures up to 680 K with the claimed relative standard uncertainty of (0.15-0.20)%. This paper reports new experimental results using the two-capillary viscometer in the temperature range from 298.15 K to 653.15 K with the claimed relative standard uncertainty of 0.062%. The new measurements agree with the existing high accuracy measurements and ab initio calculations in the overlapping temperature range within the extraordinary low relative differences of ±0.08%. The good agreement represents a robust proof of the potential models derived from the ab initio calculations, which play the powerful means in obtaining the thermophysical properties of dilute monoatomic gases over wide temperature ranges. In the experiments, the authors observed the occurrence of insufficient preheating existing with the two-capillary viscometer at high temperature.
