Abstract
BACKGROUND Evidence suggests that mitochondrial abnormalities increase the risk of two neurodevelopmental disorders: undiagnosed developmental disorder (UDD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). However, which nuclear-encoded mitochondrial-related genes (NEMGs) were associated with UDD-ASD is unclear. AIM To explore the association between de novo variants (DNVs) of NEMGs and UDD-ASD. DESIGN Comprehensive analysis based on DNVs of NEMGs identified in patients (31 058 UDD probands and 10 318 ASD probands) and 4262 controls. METHODS By curating NEMGs and cataloging publicly published DNVs in NEMGs, we compared the frequency of DNVs in cases and controls. We also applied a TADA-denovo model to highlight disease-associated NEMGs and characterized them based on gene intolerance, functional networks and expression patterns. RESULTS Compared with levels in 4262 controls, an excess of protein-truncating variants and deleterious missense variants in 1421 cataloged NEMGs from 41 376 patients (31 058 UDD and 10 318 ASD probands) was observed. Overall, 3.23% of de novo deleterious missense variants and 3.20% of de novo protein-truncating variants contributed to 1.1% and 0.39% of UDD-ASD cases, respectively. We prioritized 130 disease-associated NEMGs and showed distinct expression patterns in the developing human brain. Disease-associated NEMGs expression was enriched in both excitatory and inhibitory neuronal lineages from the developing human cortex. CONCLUSIONS Rare genetic alterations of disease-associated NEMGs may play a role in UDD-ASD development and lay the groundwork for a better understanding of the biology of UDD-ASD.

Abstract
This article summarizes and organizes relevant publications in journals, along with a review of medical history, systematically summarizing the development process of dental alveolar surgery in China. The initial establishment phase (1935-1952) marked the starting point of Chinese Alveolar Surgery. Despite the impact of wars, it laid the foundation for subsequent research and practice. During the early development phase (1953-1966), the "Chinese Journal of Stomatology" was founded, which promoted the development of Alveolar Surgery. Research focused on tooth extraction methods and complications. Tooth Transplantation and Preprosthetic Surgery gradually began to take off. The stagnant phase (1967-1977) occurred due to the interruption of international exchanges, leading to an almost complete halt in the development of Alveolar Surgery. Entering the rapid catch-up phase (1978-1985), Alveolar Surgery scholars in China began striving to overcome the stagnation of the previous decade. While some progress was made, no significant innovative achievements emerged. In the scientific development phase (1986-2010), clinical research, basic experiments, and paper writing in modern Chinese Alveolar Surgery began to adhere to scientific standards with the rise of experimental medicine. The exploration and innovation stage (2011-2023) is the current development phase, during which Chinese Aveolar Surgery has reached its peak, making substantial progress in technology, clinical practices, and basic research, gradually reaching or even surpassing international advanced levels. Looking back at the development history in China, we can find the wisdom and hard work of the older generation of Alveolar Surgery scholars. However, contemporary challenges and issues, such as standardizing technology, promoting clinical practices, and talent cultivation, need to be addressed by present-day Alveolar Surgery professionals as they forge ahead.

Abstract
1. The following study investigated the relationship between pulmonary hypertension syndrome (PHS) and mitochondrial dynamics in broiler cardiomyocytes.2. An animal model for PHS was established by injecting broiler chickens with CM-32 cellulose particles. Broiler myocardial cells were cultured under hypoxic conditions to establish an in vitro model. The ascites heart index, histomorphology, mitochondrial ultrastructure, and mitochondrial dynamic-related gene and protein expression were evaluated.3. The myocardial fibres from PHS broilers had wider spaces and were wavy and twisted and the number of mitochondria increased. Compared with the control group, the gene and protein expression levels were decreased for Opa1, Mfn1, and Mfn2 in the myocardium of PHS broilers. The gene and protein expression was significantly increased for Drp1 and Mff.4. This study showed that PHS in broilers may cause myocardial mitochondrial dysfunction, specifically by diminishing mitochondrial fusion and enhancing fission, causing disturbances in the mitochondrial dynamics of the heart.

Quantitative proteomic and metabolomic profiling reveals different osmoregulation mechanisms of tilapia cells coping with different hyperosmotic stress. J Proteomics 2024; 296:105113. [PMID: 38346667 DOI: 10.1016/j.jprot.2024.105113] [Citation(s) in RCA: 0] [Impact Index Per Article: 0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Key Words] [MESH Headings] [Track Full Text] [Journal Information] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 08/10/2023] [Revised: 01/13/2024] [Accepted: 02/03/2024] [Indexed: 02/18/2024]
Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the different regulatory mechanisms of euryhaline fish under regular hyperosmotic and extreme hyperosmotic stress. The OmB (Oreochromis mossambicus brain) cells were exposed to three treatments: control, regular hyperosmotic stress and extreme hyperosmotic stress. After 12 h exposure, proteomics, metabolomics analyses and integrative analyses were explored. Both kinds of stress lead to lowering cell growth and morphology changes, while under regular hyperosmotic stress, the up-regulated processes related with compatible organic osmolytes synthesis are crucial strategy for the euryhaline fish cell line to survive; On the other hand, under extreme hyperosmotic stress, the processes related with cell apoptosis and cell cycle arrest are dominant. Furthermore, down-regulated pyrimidine metabolism and several ribosomal proteins partially participated in the lowered cell metabolism and increased cell death under both kinds of hyperosmotic stress. The PI3K-Akt and p53 signaling pathways were involved in the stagnant stage of cell cycles and induction of cell apoptosis under both kinds of hyperosmotic stress. However, HIF-1, FoxO, JAK-STAT and Hippo signaling pathways mainly contribute to disrupting the cell cycle, metabolism and induction of cell apoptosis under extreme hyperosmotic stress. SIGNIFICANCE: In the past, the research on fish osmoregulation mainly focused on the transcription factors and ion transporters of osmoregulation, the processes between osmotic sensing and signal transduction, and the associations between signaling pathways and regulation processes have been poorly understood. Investigating fish cell osmoregulation and potential signal transduction pathways is necessary. With the advancements in omics research, it is now feasible to investigate the relationship between environmental stress and molecular responses. In this study, we aimed to explore the signaling pathways and substance metabolism mode during hyper-osmoregulation in OmB cell line, to reveal the key factors that are critical to cell osmoregulation.

Abstract
This Letter presents the first study of Higgs boson production in association with a vector boson (V=W or Z) in the fully hadronic qqbb final state using data recorded by the ATLAS detector at the LHC in proton-proton collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 137 fb^{-1}. The vector bosons and Higgs bosons are each reconstructed as large-radius jets and tagged using jet substructure techniques. Dedicated tagging algorithms exploiting b-tagging properties are used to identify jets consistent with Higgs bosons decaying into bb[over ¯]. Dominant backgrounds from multijet production are determined directly from the data, and a likelihood fit to the jet mass distribution of Higgs boson candidates is used to extract the number of signal events. The VH production cross section is measured inclusively and differentially in several ranges of Higgs boson transverse momentum: 250-450, 450-650, and greater than 650 GeV. The inclusive signal yield relative to the standard model expectation is observed to be μ=1.4_{-0.9}^{+1.0} and the corresponding cross section is 3.1±1.3(stat)_{-1.4}^{+1.8}(syst) pb.

Abstract
Non-pharmaceutical midwifery techniques, including perineal warm compresses, to improve maternal outcomes remain controversial. The aims of this study are to assess the effects of perineal warm compresses on reducing perineal trauma and postpartum perineal pain relief. This systematic review included randomized controlled trials (RCTs). We searched seven bibliographic databases, three RCT register websites, and two dissertation databases for publications from inception to 15 March 2023. Chinese and English publications were included. Two independent reviewers conducted the risk of bias assessment, data extraction, and the evaluation of the certainty of the evidence utilizing the Cochrane risk of bias 2.0 assessment criteria, the Review Manager 5.4, and the online GRADEpro tool, respectively. Seven RCTs involving 1362 primiparous women were included. The combined results demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in the second-, third- and/or fourth- degree perineal lacerations, the incidence of episiotomy, and the relief of the short-term perineal pain postpartum (within two days). There was a potential favorable effect on improving the integrity of the perineum. However, the results did not show a statistically significant supportive effect on reducing first-degree perineal lacerations and the rate of perineal lacerations requiring sutures. In summary, perineal warm compresses effectively reduced the second-, third-/or fourth-degree perineal trauma and decreased the short-term perineal pain after birth.

Abstract
ATLAS measured the centrality dependence of the dijet yield using 165 nb^{-1} of p+Pb data collected at sqrt[s_{NN}]=8.16 TeV in 2016. The event centrality, which reflects the p+Pb impact parameter, is characterized by the total transverse energy registered in the Pb-going side of the forward calorimeter. The central-to-peripheral ratio of the scaled dijet yields, R_{CP}, is evaluated, and the results are presented as a function of variables that reflect the kinematics of the initial hard parton scattering process. The R_{CP} shows a scaling with the Bjorken x of the parton originating from the proton, x_{p}, while no such trend is observed as a function of x_{Pb}. This analysis provides unique input to understanding the role of small proton spatial configurations in p+Pb collisions by covering parton momentum fractions from the valence region down to x_{p}∼10^{-3} and x_{Pb}∼4×10^{-4}.

Abstract
A substantial number of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been identified as potent regulators of human disease. Human leukocyte antigen complex group 18 (HCG18) is a new type of lncRNA that has recently been proven to play an important role in the occurrence and development of various diseases. Studies have found that abnormal expression of HCG18 is closely related to the clinicopathological characteristics of many diseases. More importantly, HCG18 was also found to promote disease progression by affecting a series of cell biological processes. This article mainly discusses the expression characteristics, clinical characteristics, biological effects and related regulatory mechanisms of HCG18 in different human diseases, providing a scientific theoretical basis for its early clinical application.

Abstract
Searches for new resonances are performed using an unsupervised anomaly-detection technique. Events with at least one electron or muon are selected from 140 fb^{-1} of pp collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV recorded by ATLAS at the Large Hadron Collider. The approach involves training an autoencoder on data, and subsequently defining anomalous regions based on the reconstruction loss of the decoder. Studies focus on nine invariant mass spectra that contain pairs of objects consisting of one light jet or b jet and either one lepton (e,μ), photon, or second light jet or b jet in the anomalous regions. No significant deviations from the background hypotheses are observed. Limits on contributions from generic Gaussian signals with various widths of the resonance mass are obtained for nine invariant masses in the anomalous regions.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the epidemiology of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in China and its association with RA disease characteristics. Methods: A cross-sectional study. A retrospective study was conducted on RA patients recruited from January 2001 to February 2023 in the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology, Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital. Demographic and clinical data were collected including age, gender, disease duration, active smoking, RA disease activity, physical function, radiographic assessment, serological markers of HBV infection and liver function indicators. According to the status of HBV infection, RA patients were grouped as chronic HBV infection, resolved HBV infection and no HBV infection groups. The distribution of each group and the clinical characteristics of RA patients were analyzed. Results: Among 1 941 RA patients, 1 461 (75.3%) completed HBV screening, including 335 males (22.9%) and 1 126 females (77.1%), with a mean age of (55.4±13.1) years. The prevalence of chronic HBV infection was 10.1%(148/1 461), which was significantly higher in male patients than in females [14.6%(49/335) vs 8.8%(99/1 126), P<0.001], especially among those males born from 1970 to 1979[20.0%(7/35) vs 8.5%(17/201), P=0.037] and 1980-1989 [31.8%(7/22) vs 10.5%(14/133), P=0.007]. Among 148 RA patients with chronic HBV infection, there were 5 cases (3.4%) of chronic hepatitis B, 2 cases (1.4%) of HBV-associated cirrhosis and 1 case (0.7%) of hepatocellular carcinoma. The prevalence of resolved HBV infection was 57.6%(841/1 461). There were 472(32.3%) patients with no HBV infection and 267(56.6%) of them showed negative anti-HBs. Among all RA patients, 15 (1.0%) patients had abnormal liver function, of which 7 cases were drug-induced liver injury, 5 cases were chronic hepatitis B, 2 cases were non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and 1 case was primary biliary cholangitis. Conclusion: Chronic HBV infection remains a common complication in RA patients in China, the infection rate is 10.1%, and the screening and management of HBV infection should be strengthened in clinical practice.

Abstract
This Letter reports the observation of WZγ production and a measurement of its cross section using 140.1±1.2 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collision data recorded at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The WZγ production cross section, with both the W and Z bosons decaying leptonically, pp→WZγ→ℓ^{'}^{±}νℓ^{+}ℓ^{-}γ (ℓ^{(^{'})}=e, μ), is measured in a fiducial phase-space region defined such that the leptons and the photon have high transverse momentum and the photon is isolated. The cross section is found to be 2.01±0.30(stat)±0.16(syst) fb. The corresponding standard model predicted cross section calculated at next-to-leading order in perturbative quantum chromodynamics and at leading order in the electroweak coupling constant is 1.50±0.06 fb. The observed significance of the WZγ signal is 6.3σ, compared with an expected significance of 5.0σ.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the potential diagnostic and prognostic implications of inflammatory cytokine levels in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of patients with spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (SICH) upon their initial hospital admission. METHODS Our cohort included 100 patients diagnosed with acute SICH, presenting to the Department of Neurosurgery. Additionally, we recruited 50 individuals without central nervous system (CNS) pathology, treated concurrently at our facility, as controls. CSF samples, collected upon hospital entry, were quantitatively assessed for 10 inflammatory cytokines using the Mesoscale Discovery Platform (MSD, Rockville, MD, USA) electrochemiluminescence technology, followed by validation through enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RESULTS We observed a marked elevation of IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, and TNF-α in the CSF of the SICH subgroup compared to controls. Higher Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) scores in SICH patients corresponded with lower CSF concentrations of IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, and TNF-α, indicating an inverse relationship. Notably, CSF inflammatory cytokine levels were consistently higher in SICH patients with hydrocephalus than in those without. Increases in IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, and TNF-α in the CSF were notably more pronounced in the poor prognosis group (Glasgow Outcome Scale, GOS 1-3) compared to those with a favorable prognosis (GOS 4-5). The AUC values for these cytokines in predicting SICH prognosis were 0.750, 0.728, 0.717, and 0.743, respectively. CONCLUSIONS Initial CSF levels of IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, and TNF-α upon admission provide significant insights into the severity of neural damage and are robust indicators for prognosis in SICH patients.

Abstract
AIM To explore whether small airway disease and emphysema were affected by the interaction between smoking and aging on chest computed tomography (CT) images of asymptomatic healthy men analysed using a quantitative imaging tool parametric response mapping (PRM). MATERIALS AND METHODS In this retrospective study, 95 asymptomatic healthy men underwent biphasic chest CT. The PRM classifies lung as a percentage of normal (PRMNormal%), functional small airway disease (PRMfSAD%), and emphysema (PRMEmph%). The patients were divided into groups based on their age and smoking status. Multiple linear regression analysis was applied to explore the factors influencing lung injury. Simple effects analysis was performed to explore the interaction between different age groups and smoking status. RESULTS The interaction between aging and smoking significantly affected PRMfSAD% and PRMEmph% (p<0.001). The age range 60-69 and smoking were associated with increased PRMfSAD% and PRMEmph% (p<0.05). Futher stratification into different age subgroups showed that smoking was associated with increased PRMfSAD% and PRMEmph% in the 50-59 year age group. Besides, smoking in the 50-59 and 60-69 years group was associated with decreased PRMNormal%, while smoking in the 60-69 years group did not significantly influence the prevalence of PRMfSAD% and PRMEmph% (p>0.05). CONCLUSIONS PRM reveals the interplay between smoking and aging in the development of lung injury in asymptomatic healthy men. Aging and smoking are important factors of emphysema and small airway disease in the 50-69 years group. In the 60-69 years group, aging poses a greater risk of lung injury compared to smoking.

Abstract
A search for events with a dark photon produced in association with a dark Higgs boson via rare decays of the standard model Z boson is presented, using 139 fb^{-1} of sqrt[s]=13 TeV proton-proton collision data recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The dark boson decays into a pair of dark photons, and at least two of the three dark photons must each decay into a pair of electrons or muons, resulting in at least two same-flavor opposite-charge lepton pairs in the final state. The data are found to be consistent with the background prediction, and upper limits are set on the dark photon's coupling to the dark Higgs boson times the kinetic mixing between the standard model photon and the dark photon, α_{D}ϵ^{2}, in the dark photon mass range of [5, 40] GeV except for the ϒ mass window [8.8, 11.1] GeV. This search explores new parameter space not previously excluded by other experiments.

Results: The overall prevalence of comorbidity of anxiety symptoms and depression symptoms was 11.54% (95%CI: 10.90%-12.19%), higher among girls (15.42%, 95%CI: 14.47%- 16.38%) than boys (8.05%, 95%CI: 7.43%-8.67%) (P<0.001), higher among students living in rural areas (12.35%, 95%CI: 11.49%-13.22%) than those in urban areas (10.06%, 95%CI: 9.27%-10.86%) (P<0.001). The prevalence of comorbidity of students attending middle school, academic high school, and vocational high school was 11.73% (95%CI: 10.82%-12.64%), 12.49% (95%CI: 11.20%- 13.79%), and 9.98% (95%CI: 8.68%-11.27%), respectively (P=0.025). The prevalence of comorbidity was higher among students in divorced/widow/separated families (16.64%, 95%CI: 14.86%-18.43%) than those in intact families (10.82%, 95%CI: 10.14%-11.50%) (P<0.001). The wealthier the families, the lower the prevalence of comorbidity (P<0.001). The prevalence of comorbidity was higher among cigarettes smokers in the past 30 days (21.70%,95%CI: 18.24%- 25.16%) than non-smokers (11.13%, 95%CI: 10.51%-11.76%), higher among alcohol drinkers in the past 30 days (19.36%, 95%CI: 17.58%-21.14%) than non-drinkers (10.05%, 95%CI: 9.43%- 10.68%), higher among students engaging in physical fight in the past 12 months (18.42%, 95%CI: 16.75%-20.09%) than those without physical fight (10.45%, 95%CI: 9.81%-11.10%). The more frequently students engaged in physical exercise, the lower the prevalence of comorbidity (P<0.001). The poorer the academic performance self-reported, the higher the prevalence of comorbidity (P<0.001). Conclusion: More than one-tenth of middle and high school students in Zhejiang Province have comorbidity of anxiety symptoms and depression symptoms, and more attention should be paid to adolescent mental health.

Flexible nanofibrous membranes of dual metallic metal-organic framework with enhanced Lewis basic sites and high loading mass for efficient CO 2 capture. J Colloid Interface Sci 2023; 651:200-210. Abstract
Excessive CO2 emissions and the resultant global warming present significant environmental challenges, posing threats to human health and public safety. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), known for their high specific area and large porosity, hold the promise for CO2 capture. However, a major obstacle is the low loading mass of MOFs and the limited interface affinity and compatibility between MOFs and substrates. In this study, we present an electrospinning-assisted in-situ synthesis dual metallic framework strategy for preparing flexible Zn/Co-ZIF nanofibrous membranes (NFMs). This method achieves the high loading mass of MOFs and introduces abundant Lewis basic sites, thereby enhancing the CO2 adsorption. The dual metallic Zn/Co-ZIF NFMs exhibit remarkable features, including high MOF loading mass (70.23 wt%), high specific surface area (379.63 m2g-1), large porosity (92.34 %), high CO2 adsorption capacity (4.43 mmol/g), high CO2/N2 adsorption selectivity (37), and high CO2/CH4 adsorption selectivity (31). Moreover, the dual metallic Zn/Co-ZIF NFMs demonstrate robust structural stability and durability attributed to the excellent interface affinity between MOFs and NFMs, retaining 96.56 % of their initial capacity after 10 adsorption-desorption cycles. This work presents a prospective direction for developing flexible dual metallic MOF NFMs for the efficient capture of CO2.

Hyperon Polarization along the Beam Direction Relative to the Second and Third Harmonic Event Planes in Isobar Collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=200 GeV. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2023; 131:202301. Abstract
The polarization of Λ and Λ[over ¯] hyperons along the beam direction has been measured relative to the second and third harmonic event planes in isobar Ru+Ru and Zr+Zr collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=200 GeV. This is the first experimental evidence of the hyperon polarization by the triangular flow originating from the initial density fluctuations. The amplitudes of the sine modulation for the second and third harmonic results are comparable in magnitude, increase from central to peripheral collisions, and show a mild p_{T} dependence. The azimuthal angle dependence of the polarization follows the vorticity pattern expected due to elliptic and triangular anisotropic flow, and qualitatively disagrees with most hydrodynamic model calculations based on thermal vorticity and shear induced contributions. The model results based on one of existing implementations of the shear contribution lead to a correct azimuthal angle dependence, but predict centrality and p_{T} dependence that still disagree with experimental measurements. Thus, our results provide stringent constraints on the thermal vorticity and shear-induced contributions to hyperon polarization. Comparison to previous measurements at RHIC and the LHC for the second-order harmonic results shows little dependence on the collision system size and collision energy.

Abstract
This Letter reports the observation of single top quarks produced together with a photon, which directly probes the electroweak coupling of the top quark. The analysis uses 139 fb^{-1} of 13 TeV proton-proton collision data collected with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. Requiring a photon with transverse momentum larger than 20 GeV and within the detector acceptance, the fiducial cross section is measured to be 688±23(stat) _{-71}^{+75}(syst) fb, to be compared with the standard model prediction of 515_{-42}^{+36} fb at next-to-leading order in QCD.

Measurement of the Sensitivity of Two-Particle Correlations in pp Collisions to the Presence of Hard Scatterings. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2023; 131:162301. Abstract
A key open question in the study of multiparticle production in high-energy pp collisions is the relationship between the "ridge"-i.e., the observed azimuthal correlations between particles in the underlying event that extend over all rapidities-and hard or semihard scattering processes. In particular, it is not known whether jets or their soft fragments are correlated with particles in the underlying event. To address this question, two-particle correlations are measured in pp collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV using data collected by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC, with an integrated luminosity of 15.8 pb^{-1}, in two different configurations. In the first case, charged particles associated with jets are excluded from the correlation analysis, while in the second case, correlations are measured between particles within jets and charged particles from the underlying event. Second-order flow coefficients, v_{2}, are presented as a function of event multiplicity and transverse momentum. These measurements show that excluding particles associated with jets does not affect the measured correlations. Moreover, particles associated with jets do not exhibit any significant azimuthal correlations with the underlying event, ruling out hard processes contributing to the ridge.

Abstract
A search is made for potential ccc[over ¯]c[over ¯] tetraquarks decaying into a pair of charmonium states in the four muon final state using proton-proton collision data at sqrt[s]=13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^{-1} recorded by the ATLAS experiment at LHC. Two decay channels, J/ψ+J/ψ→4μ and J/ψ+ψ(2S)→4μ, are studied. Backgrounds are estimated based on a hybrid approach involving Monte Carlo simulations and data-driven methods. Statistically significant excesses with respect to backgrounds dominated by the single parton scattering are seen in the di-J/ψ channel consistent with a narrow resonance at 6.9 GeV and a broader structure at lower mass. A statistically significant excess is also seen in the J/ψ+ψ(2S) channel. The fitted masses and decay widths of the structures are reported.

Abstract
This Letter reports the observation of τ-lepton-pair production in ultraperipheral lead-lead collisions Pb+Pb→Pb(γγ→ττ)Pb and constraints on the τ-lepton anomalous magnetic moment a_{τ}. The dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 1.44 nb^{-1} of LHC Pb+Pb collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV recorded by the ATLAS experiment in 2018. Selected events contain one muon from a τ-lepton decay, an electron or charged-particle track(s) from the other τ-lepton decay, little additional central-detector activity, and no forward neutrons. The γγ→ττ process is observed in Pb+Pb collisions with a significance exceeding 5 standard deviations and a signal strength of μ_{ττ}=1.03_{-0.05}^{+0.06} assuming the standard model value for a_{τ}. To measure a_{τ}, a template fit to the muon transverse-momentum distribution from τ-lepton candidates is performed, using a dimuon (γγ→μμ) control sample to constrain systematic uncertainties. The observed 95% confidence-level interval for a_{τ} is -0.057

Abstract
Objective: To explore the spatial autocorrelation and macro influencing factors of stroke mortality in Zhejiang Province in 2015-2020 and provide a scientific basis for stroke prevention and control strategy. Methods: The data on stroke death were obtained from Zhejiang Chronic Disease Surveillance System. The spatial distribution of stroke mortality was explored by mapping and spatial autocorrelation analysis. The spatial panel model analyzed the correlation between stroke mortality and socioeconomic and healthcare factors. Results: From 2015 to 2020, the average stroke mortality was 68.38/100 thousand. The standard mortality of stroke was high in the areas of east and low in the west, high in the south and low in the north. Moreover, positive spatial autocorrelation was observed (Moran's I=0.274-0.390, P<0.001). Standard mortality of stroke was negatively associated with per capita gross domestic product (GDP) (β=-0.370, P<0.001), per capita health expenditure (β=-0.116, P=0.021), number of beds per thousand population (β=-0.161, P=0.030). Standard mortality of ischemic stroke was negatively associated with per capita GDP (β=-0.310, P=0.002) and standard management rate of hypertension (β=-0.462, P=0.011). Standard mortality of hemorrhagic stroke was negatively associated with per capita GDP (β=-0.481, P<0.001), per capita health expenditure (β=-0.184, P=0.001), number of beds per thousand population (β=-0.288, P=0.001) and standard management rate of hypertension (β=-0.336, P=0.029). Conclusions: A positive spatial correlation existed between stroke mortality in Zhejiang Province in 2015-2020. We must focus more on preventing and controlling strokes in relatively backward economic areas. Moreover, to reduce the mortality of stroke, increasing the investment of government medical and health funds, optimizing the allocation of medical resources, and improving the standard management rate of hypertension are important measures.

Vertebral Compression Fracture Post Spine Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy: The Role of Vertebral Endplate. Int J Radiat Oncol Biol Phys 2023; 117:e99. Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) Maintaining hydrostatic pressure -via Pascal's Principle- between vertebral bodies is essential to decrease the chance of vertebral compression fracture (VCF). Vertebral endplates (EP) play an essential role in this matter through maintaining the mechanical environment as well as the proper nutrition of avascular discs. The purpose of this study is to establish the correlation of VCF with disrupted EP by tumor involvement. MATERIALS/METHODS A retrospective analysis of de novo spine metastases treated with stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) between 2013-2019. Patients (pts) with previous surgical intervention were excluded. VCF defined as new or progression of existing loss of vertebral body height. The vertebral EP region defined in relation to the vertebral body as superior EP vs inferior EP. Kaplan-Meier curves used to analyze the variables. A multivariate proportional hazard model used to assess the risk of all covariates. RESULTS A total of 111 pts were treated with SBRT with a median dose of 27 Gy (10-35 Gy). Median follow-up was 18 months (1.2-107). The median age was 60 years (24-87) and 59 were males (53%) and 52 were females (47%). The median body mass index (BMI) was 27 kg/m2 (16-47). Almost 9 pts diagnosed with osteoporosis prior radiation. Twelve pts received prolonged steroids. Twenty pts received bisphosphonate and 8 pts received denosumab. The median PTV was 50cc (8-465) and median Conformity Index was 1.05 (0.42-1.4). Almost 75% of pts received >95% of the dose covering 100% of the PTV. The most common histopathologies were renal cell carcinoma (25%), lung (13%) and breast (11%). Most of the pts (77%) had SINS score of 7 or less. 48 pts (43%) had either superior or inferior EP disruption secondary to the tumor at the time of radiation. Twenty pts (18%) had both superiorly and inferiorly disrupted EP. Around 20 pts (18%) developed VCF. The median time to VCF was 5.2 months (1.1-57.4). The one-year cumulative incidence of VCF was 18%. The 1-year cumulative incidence of VCF with either superiorly and/or inferiorly disrupted EP was 29% vs 6%, p value <0.001. The 1-year cumulative incidence of VCF with both superiorly and inferiorly disrupted EP was 57% vs 7% (p value <0.001). The median time to VCF was earlier in pts with both disrupted EP (2.4 months vs 5.7 months, p value <0.05). Other risk factors like SINS score of >7 and local recurrence (LR) associated with higher risk of VCF. On multivariate analysis, LR (HR 8.2 [CI 2.4-28, p- value <0.001]), tumor disrupting the EP (HR 4.5 [CI 1.3-16, p-value<0.018]) and SINS score of seven and above (HR 1.7 [CI 1.3-2.25, p-value <0.001]) correlated with the VCF risk. CONCLUSION In this retrospective analysis, tumor disrupting the EP, disease recurrence and high SINS score increased the risk of VCF. Cement augmentation either prophylactically or immediately following SBRT is currently being studied in a prospective trial within our institution.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) To refine oligometastatic disease (OMD) and construct M1 categories for de novo metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma (dmNPC) MATERIALS/METHODS: We included 504 patients who received chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy between 2010-2019 from two centers (training and validation cohort). Multivariable analyses were used to evaluate the prognostic value of OMD and metastatic organs, which were then used to construct M1 categories RESULTS: The median follow-up for the training and validation cohorts were 46 and 57 months, respectively. OMD (≤ 2 metastatic organs and ≤ 5 metastatic lesions) had the highest C-index compared to the other models in both cohorts. Multivariable analyses, in which both OMD and liver metastases did not coexist, revealed that OMD (hazard ratio [HR] = 2.110 and 1.598) and liver metastases (HR = 1.572 and 1.452) were prognostic factors for overall survival (OS) in both cohorts. Based on OMD and liver metastases, patients with dmNPC were divided into M1a (OMD without liver metastases) and M1b (OMD with liver metastases or polymetastatic disease). The 3-year OS of the M1a patients was better than that of the M1b patients in both cohorts (both p < 0.001). In the anti-PD1 mAb and chemotherapy cohorts, patients with M1ahad a significantly better median progression-free survival than those with M1b (p < 0.001) CONCLUSION: OMD with ≤ 2 metastatic organs and ≤ 5 metastatic lesions is an appropriate definition for dmNPC. M1 subcategories constructed based on OMD and liver metastases improved prognostic evaluation for patients with dmNPC who received chemotherapy or antiPD1 mAb treatment.

Abstract
Succinic acid is an important C4 platform chemical that is widely used in food, chemical, medicine sectors. The bottleneck of fermentative production of succinic acid by engineered Escherichia coli is the imbalance of intracellular cofactors, which often leads to accumulation of by-products, lower yield and low productivity. Stoichiometric analysis indicated that an efficient production of succinic acid by E. coli FMME-N-26 under micro-aeration conditions might be achieved when the TCA cycle provides enough ATP and NADH for the r-TCA pathway. In order to promote succinic acid production, a serial of metabolic engineering strategies include reducing ATP consumption, strengthening ATP synthesis, blocking NADH competitive pathway and constructing NADH complementary pathway were developed. As result, an engineered E. coli FW-17 capable of producing 139.52 g/L succinic acid and 1.40 g/L acetic acid in 5 L fermenter, which were 17.81% higher and 67.59% lower than that of the control strain, was developed. Further scale-up experiments were carried out in a 1 000 L fermenter, and the titer of succinic acid and acetic acid were 140.2 g/L and 1.38 g/L, respectively.

Strong Constraints on Jet Quenching in Centrality-Dependent p+Pb Collisions at 5.02 TeV from ATLAS. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2023; 131:072301. Abstract
Jet quenching is the process of color-charged partons losing energy via interactions with quark-gluon plasma droplets created in heavy-ion collisions. The collective expansion of such droplets is well described by viscous hydrodynamics. Similar evidence of collectivity is consistently observed in smaller collision systems, including pp and p+Pb collisions. In contrast, while jet quenching is observed in Pb+Pb collisions, no evidence has been found in these small systems to date, raising fundamental questions about the nature of the system created in these collisions. The ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider has measured the yield of charged hadrons correlated with reconstructed jets in 0.36 nb^{-1} of p+Pb and 3.6 pb^{-1} of pp collisions at 5.02 TeV. The yields of charged hadrons with p_{T}^{ch}>0.5 GeV near and opposite in azimuth to jets with p_{T}^{jet}>30 or 60 GeV, and the ratios of these yields between p+Pb and pp collisions, I_{pPb}, are reported. The collision centrality of p+Pb events is categorized by the energy deposited by forward neutrons from the struck nucleus. The I_{pPb} values are consistent with unity within a few percent for hadrons with p_{T}^{ch}>4 GeV at all centralities. These data provide new, strong constraints that preclude almost any parton energy loss in central p+Pb collisions.

Abstract
A test of CP invariance in Higgs boson production via vector-boson fusion has been performed in the H→γγ channel using 139 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collision data at sqrt[s]=13 TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The optimal observable method is used to probe the CP structure of interactions between the Higgs boson and electroweak gauge bosons, as described by an effective field theory. No sign of CP violation is observed in the data. Constraints are set on the parameters describing the strength of the CP-odd component in the coupling between the Higgs boson and the electroweak gauge bosons in two effective field theory bases: d[over ˜] in the HISZ basis and c_{HW[over ˜]} in the Warsaw basis. The results presented are the most stringent constraints on CP violation in the coupling between Higgs and weak bosons. The 95% C.L. constraint on d[over ˜] is derived for the first time and the 95% C.L. constraint on c_{HW[over ˜]} has been improved by a factor of 5 compared to the previous measurement.

Abstract
The elliptic (v_{2}) and triangular (v_{3}) azimuthal anisotropy coefficients in central ^{3}He+Au, d+Au, and p+Au collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=200 GeV are measured as a function of transverse momentum (p_{T}) at midrapidity (|η|<0.9), via the azimuthal angular correlation between two particles both at |η|<0.9. While the v_{2}(p_{T}) values depend on the colliding systems, the v_{3}(p_{T}) values are system independent within the uncertainties, suggesting an influence on eccentricity from subnucleonic fluctuations in these small-sized systems. These results also provide stringent constraints for the hydrodynamic modeling of these systems.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of decitabine combined with low dose chemotherapy (LDC) in the treatment of high-risk, refractory and relapsed pediatric acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Methods: Clinical data of 19 AML children treated with decitabine combined with LDC in the Department of Hematology, Children's Hospital of Soochow University from April 2017 to November 2019 were analyzed retrospectively. The therapeutic response, adverse effects and survival status were analyzed, and the outcomes of patients were followed up. Results: Among 19 AML cases, there were 10 males and 9 females. Five cases were high-risk AML, 7 cases were refractory AML, and 7 cases were relapsed AML. After one course of decitabine+LDC treatment, 15 cases achieved complete remission, 3 cases got partial remission, and only 1 case didn't get remission. All patients received allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation as consolidation therapy. The follow-up time of all cases was 46 (37, 58) months, 14 children had survived. The cumulative three-year overall survival rate was (79±9) %, events free survival rates was (68±11) %, and recurrence free survival rate was (81±10) %. The most common adverse effects related to the induction treatment were cytopenia (19 cases) and infection (16 cases). There were no treatment-related death during the therapy. Conclusion: Decitabine combined with LDC is a safe and effective option for high-risk, refractory and relapsed AML children, which provides an opportunity for HSCT.

Observation of Directed Flow of Hypernuclei _{Λ}^{3}H and _{Λ}^{4}H in sqrt[s_{NN}]=3 GeV Au+Au Collisions at RHIC. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2023; 130:212301. Abstract
We report here the first observation of directed flow (v_{1}) of the hypernuclei _{Λ}^{3}H and _{Λ}^{4}H in mid-central Au+Au collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=3 GeV at RHIC. These data are taken as part of the beam energy scan program carried out by the STAR experiment. From 165×10^{6} events in 5%-40% centrality, about 8400 _{Λ}^{3}H and 5200 _{Λ}^{4}H candidates are reconstructed through two- and three-body decay channels. We observe that these hypernuclei exhibit significant directed flow. Comparing to that of light nuclei, it is found that the midrapidity v_{1} slopes of _{Λ}^{3}H and _{Λ}^{4}H follow baryon number scaling, implying that the coalescence is the dominant mechanism for these hypernuclei production in the 3 GeV Au+Au collisions.

Abstract
We report the triton (t) production in midrapidity (|y|<0.5) Au+Au collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=7.7-200 GeV measured by the STAR experiment from the first phase of the beam energy scan at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider. The nuclear compound yield ratio (N_{t}×N_{p}/N_{d}^{2}), which is predicted to be sensitive to the fluctuation of local neutron density, is observed to decrease monotonically with increasing charged-particle multiplicity (dN_{ch}/dη) and follows a scaling behavior. The dN_{ch}/dη dependence of the yield ratio is compared to calculations from coalescence and thermal models. Enhancements in the yield ratios relative to the coalescence baseline are observed in the 0%-10% most central collisions at 19.6 and 27 GeV, with a significance of 2.3σ and 3.4σ, respectively, giving a combined significance of 4.1σ. The enhancements are not observed in peripheral collisions or model calculations without critical fluctuation, and decreases with a smaller p_{T} acceptance. The physics implications of these results on the QCD phase structure and the production mechanism of light nuclei in heavy-ion collisions are discussed.

Abstract
Mobile sensing enabled by MS2 technology, which integrates microfluidic and smartphone components, has seen many applications in recent years. In this direction, we developed an MS2 platform (an integrated kit) for nucleic acid assay, which included a chitosan-modified minimalistic microfluidic chip (CM3-chip), a smartphone-based fluorescence detector (SF-detector), an APP for imaging and analysis, reagents, and accessories. Once the lysed sample was loaded into the CM3-chip modified by 1% concentration and 200-260 kDa molecular weight of chitosan, the following assay can be completed in approximately 1 h. The Mkit can detect 3 × 10° copies μL-1 of plasmid DNA and its polymerase chain reaction (PCR) efficiency was 96.8%. The CM3-chip equipped for the Mkit can enrich nucleic acid from the pH = 5 of lysis buffer, instead of using conventional adsorption mediums such as the magnetic beads and silica gel membranes, which could result in unexpected impurity residuals and tedious cleaning operations. In addition, the performance of the Mkit equipped with the pristine chip was demonstrated to perform poorer than that coupled with the CM3-chip in which the enriched nucleic acid can be all used for "in-situ PCR". The universality, selectivity, and user-friendliness of the Mkit were also validated. We finally demonstrated the feasibility of the Mkit for testing artificially prepared infected samples. H5N6 and IAV-infected saliva samples provided the limits of detection of 5 × 102 copies mL-1 and 3.24 × 102 copies mL-1 per chamber, respectively. The streamlined assay and compact device should enable the great potential of the Mkit in research and potential diagnostic uses.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To study the effect of various intracanal materials on the accuracy of oral maxillofacial cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) for the diagnosis of vertical root fracture (VRF). METHODS A total of twenty-four structurally intact single root canal dried and isolated teeth extracted for orthodontic treatment or periodontal disease were collected. The teeth were decrowned along the cemento-enamel junction (CEJ) and then used as samples for the study after conventional root canal preparation and post preparation. The 24 samples were divided into two groups with 12 samples in each group. Group A was the control group (no VRF group). According to intracanal materials, they were divided into five subgroups: blank group, fiber post group, gutta-percha point group, titanium post group and gold-palladium post group. Group B was the experimental group (VRF group), and subgroups were grouped as above. The VRF model was prepared by a unified method in the VRF group: the root was completely fractured in the buccolingual direction with a custom root canal nail and then cemented and reset. The control group was not subjected to the simulation of VRF. Titanium post and gold-palladium post were made according to the individuality of the root canal preparation, and the tightness of the post to the root canal wall was confirmed by X-ray radiograph. Then all the samples were scanned by CBCT in the isolate swine mandibular alveolar sockets. The diagnostic accuracy was statistically analyzed via blind interpretation by experienced endodontic specialists and oral and maxillofacial medical imaging specialists. RESULTS The accuracy of the diagnosis of VRF in the blank group, fiber post group, gutta-percha point group, titanium post group, and gold-palladium post group in CBCT was 95.83%, 91.67%, 87.50%, 79.17%, and 45.83%, respectively. Compared with the blank group, the differences were not statistically significant in the fiber post group (P>0.999), the gutta-percha point group (P=0.500) and the titanium post group (P=0.125). The lowest diagnostic accuracy of VRF was found in the gold-palladium post group, and the difference was statistically significant compared with all other groups (P < 0.001). CONCLUSION Various intracanal materials have different degrees of influence on the diagnostic accuracy of VRF diagnosis in CBCT. The influence of fiber post, gutta-percha point and titanium post was small, while the influence of gold-palladium post was significant.

Engineering growth phenotypes of Aspergillus oryzae for L-malate production. BIORESOUR BIOPROCESS 2023; 10:25. Abstract
Improving the growth status of Aspergillus oryzae is an efficient way to enhance L-malate production. However, the growth mechanism of filamentous fungi is relatively complex, which limits A. oryzae as a cell factory to produce L-malate industrially. This study determined the relationship between growth status and L-malate production. The optimal ranges of colony diameter, percentage of vegetative mycelia, and pellet number of A. oryzae were determined to be 26-30 mm, 35-40%, and 220-240/mL, respectively. To achieve this optimum range, adaptive evolution was used to obtain the evolved strain Z07 with 132.54 g/L L-malate and a productivity of 1.1 g/L/h. Finally, a combination of transcriptome analysis and morphological characterization was used to identify the relevant pathway genes that affect the growth mechanism of A. oryzae. The strategies used in this study and the growth mechanism provide a good basis for efficient L-malate production by filamentous fungi.

miR-145 inhibits aerobic glycolysis and cell proliferation of cervical cancer by acting on MYC. FASEB J 2023; 37:e22839. Abstract
Nearly half a million women are diagnosed with cervical cancer (CC) each year, with the incidence of CC stabilizing or rising in low-income and middle-income countries. Cancer cells use metabolic reprogramming to meet the needs of rapid proliferation, known as the Warburg effect, but the mechanism of the Warburg effect in CC remains unclear. microRNAs (miRNAs) have a wide range of effects on gene expression and diverse modes of action, and they regulate genes for metabolic reprogramming. Dysregulation of miRNA expression leads to metabolic abnormalities in tumor cells and promotes tumorigenesis and tumor progression. In this study, we found that miR-145 was negatively correlated with metabolic reprogramming-related genes and prevented the proliferation and metastasis of CC cell lines by impeding aerobic glycolysis. A dual-luciferase reporter assay showed that miR-145 can bind to the 3'-untranslated region (3'-UTR) of MYC. Chromatin Immunoprecipitation-quantitative real-time PCR indicated that MYC was involved in the regulation of glycolysis-related genes. In addition, miR-145 mimics significantly suppressed the growth of CC cell xenograft tumor, prolonged the survival time of mice, and dramatically silenced the expression of tumor proliferation marker Ki-67. Therefore, the results suggested that miR-145 affects aerobic glycolysis through MYC, which may be a potential target for the treatment of CC.

Abstract
We report on measurements of sequential ϒ suppression in Au+Au collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=200 GeV with the STAR detector at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) through both the dielectron and dimuon decay channels. In the 0%-60% centrality class, the nuclear modification factors (R_{AA}), which quantify the level of yield suppression in heavy-ion collisions compared to p+p collisions, for ϒ(1S) and ϒ(2S) are 0.40±0.03(stat)±0.03(sys)±0.09(norm) and 0.26±0.08(stat)±0.02(sys)±0.06(norm), respectively, while the upper limit of the ϒ(3S) R_{AA} is 0.17 at a 95% confidence level. This provides experimental evidence that the ϒ(3S) is significantly more suppressed than the ϒ(1S) at RHIC. The level of suppression for ϒ(1S) is comparable to that observed at the much higher collision energy at the Large Hadron Collider. These results point to the creation of a medium at RHIC whose temperature is sufficiently high to strongly suppress excited ϒ states.

Abstract
To explore the relationship between the early or delayed age at natural menopause and metabolic syndrome (MS) in women. A total of 4 734 natural menopausal women who completed the baseline survey from November 2017 to January 2020 in the Guangzhou Middle-aged and Elderly Chronic Disease Prospective Cohort Study were selected in this cross-sectional study. Data on general demographic characteristics, disease history and female physiological health indicators were collected. Logistic regression model and restricted cubic spline curve were used to analyze the relationship between the age at natural menopause and MS. The results showed that the mean age of the subjects was (60±6) years old. The median (Q1,Q3) age at natural menopause was 50 (49, 52) years old, and the prevalence of MS was 14.8%(699/4 734). After adjusting for confounders, the age at natural menopause was closely related to MS in an approximate"U"shape. Compared with the group of normal age at natural menopause, the early age at menopause (OR=1.52, 95%CI: 1.12-2.06) and delayed age at menopause (OR=1.77, 95%CI: 1.36-2.30) had a higher risk of MS. In the group with time since menopause ≤6 years and 7-9 years, the risk of MS in the group with delayed age at menopause was 2.40 times (95%CI: 1.54-3.75) and 2.19 times (95%CI: 1.11-4.31) higher than that in the group with normal menopausal age, respectively. In conclusion, the early and delayed age at natural menopause increased the risk of MS. The increased risk of MS in delayed age at natural menopause mainly occurred within 10 years since menopause.

Beam Energy Dependence of Fifth- and Sixth-Order Net-Proton Number Fluctuations in Au+Au Collisions at RHIC. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2023; 130:082301. Abstract
We report the beam energy and collision centrality dependence of fifth and sixth order cumulants (C_{5}, C_{6}) and factorial cumulants (κ_{5}, κ_{6}) of net-proton and proton number distributions, from center-of-mass energy (sqrt[s_{NN}]) 3 GeV to 200 GeV Au+Au collisions at RHIC. Cumulant ratios of net-proton (taken as proxy for net-baryon) distributions generally follow the hierarchy expected from QCD thermodynamics, except for the case of collisions at 3 GeV. The measured values of C_{6}/C_{2} for 0%-40% centrality collisions show progressively negative trend with decreasing energy, while it is positive for the lowest energy studied. These observed negative signs are consistent with QCD calculations (for baryon chemical potential, μ_{B}≤110 MeV) which contains the crossover transition range. In addition, for energies above 7.7 GeV, the measured proton κ_{n}, within uncertainties, does not support the two-component (Poisson+binomial) shape of proton number distributions that would be expected from a first-order phase transition. Taken in combination, the hyperorder proton number fluctuations suggest that the structure of QCD matter at high baryon density, μ_{B}∼750 MeV at sqrt[s_{NN}]=3 GeV is starkly different from those at vanishing μ_{B}∼24 MeV at sqrt[s_{NN}]=200 GeV and higher collision energies.

Impact of the Built Environment on Residents' Health: Evidence from the China Labor Dynamics Survey in 2016. JOURNAL OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND PUBLIC HEALTH 2023; 2023:3414849. Abstract
In the process of China's rapid urbanization, the health level of residents has been improved to a great extent. However, with the expansion of urban scale and spatial restructuring, a series of urban environmental problems have posed new challenges to public health. However, the impact of the built environment on residents' health is controversial, and the applicability of the conclusions based on western urban sprawl in China is not clear enough. In addition, the exploration of the impact path of the built environment on health is still not comprehensive and in-depth. Based on the China Labor Dynamics Survey (CLDS) in 2016 and relevant statistical yearbook data, this study explored the impact of the built environment at community and urban scale on residents' health and its age heterogeneity and further explored the mediating role of physical exercise, neighborhood support, and community safety. According to the research, the urban and community-built environment has significant impacts on residents' health, and the impact is significantly different at different scales. In addition, there is a significant difference in the impact of built environment factors on residents' health among populations with different life cycles. From the perspective of the impact path, greening coverage can improve residents' self-rated health by enhancing the perceived safety of living in the community. In contrast, the high community population density will not only weaken the degree of neighborhood support but also reduce the perception level of community residential safety, thus damaging residents' health. In short, from the perspective of environmental intervention, the previously mentioned results put forward possible suggestions on strengthening the construction of a healthy living environment so as to maximize the health effectiveness of cities and communities.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the effectiveness of a whole-process health education model among inpatients with ascites type of advanced schistosomiasis. METHODS A "admission-hospitalization-discharge" whole-process health education model was created, 101 inpatients with ascites type of advanced schistosomiasis were given the whole-process health education. The scores of schistosomiasis control knowledge, attitudes towards schistosomiasis control and healthy behaviors, and awareness of schistosomiasis control knowledge, correct rate of attitudes towards schistosomiasis control and correct rate of healthy behaviors were compared among inpatients with ascites type of advanced schistosomiasis before and after implementation of the whole-process health education. RESULTS The scores of schistosomiasis control knowledge, schistosomiasis control attitudes and healthy behaviors were all significantly higher among inpatients with ascites type of advanced schistosomiasis after implementation of the whole-process health education than before implementation (Z = -7.688, -3.576 and -4.328, all P values < 0.01). In addition, the awareness of schistosomiasis control knowledge increased from 54.3% to 82.7% (χ2 = 188.886, P < 0.01), and the correct rate of attitudes towards schistosomiasis control increased from 88.4% to 98.0% (χ2 = 22.001, P < 0.01), while the correct rate of healthy behaviors increased from 48.2% to 59.7% (χ2 = 11.767, P < 0.01). CONCLUSIONS The whole-process health education model may remarkably improve the awareness of schistosomiasis control knowledge and promote the formation of positive attitudes towards schistosomiasis control and correct behaviors among inpatients with ascites type of advanced schistosomiasis, which is of great significance to facilitate patients' cure.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the changes of imaging parameters of patellofemoral joint after kinematic alignment total knee arthroplasty (KA-TKA) and mechanical alignment total knee arthroplasty (MA-TKA) and the effects on clinical outcomes. Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on 227 patients diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis, 105 males and 122 females, with the age of (68.6±7.2) years (range: 52 to 86 years). The patients underwent unilateral TKA at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, Capital Medical University, from January 2020 to July 2021. The patients were divided into the KA-TKA group (n=102) and the MA-TKA group (n=125) according to the alignment method. The Blackburne-Peel index, lateral patellofemoral angle, patellofemoral tilt angle and patellofemoral index of the two groups were recorded before and 6 months after operation. The frequency of lateral patellar retinaculum release, preoperative and postoperative knee range of motion (ROM), and Oxford knee score(OKS) were also recorded. The differences between preoperative and postoperative measurement data of each group were calculated. If the difference was in line with normal distribution, the independent sample t-test or t'-test was used for comparison between the two groups. If it did not conform to normal distribution, Mann-Whitney U test was used. Paired sample t-test was used for comparison before and after treatment. Chi-square test was used for comparation of categorical data between the two groups. Results: After 6 months of operation, the patellar tilt angles of the KA-TKA group and the MA-TKA group were (14.22±3.26)° and (13.35±2.27)°, and the lateral patellar angles were (9.73±4.86)° and (11.91±3.89)°, respectively. The change of lateral patellofemoral angle in the KA-TKA group was significantly less than that in the MA-TKA group ((1.68±4.86)° vs. (4.15±4.88)°, t=3.805, P<0.01). OKS and ROM were improved in the both groups at 6 months after operation (all P<0.05), but there were no statistic significance in preoperative and postoperative difference between the two groups (all P>0.05). The intraoperative lateral patellar retinacular release rate was 14.4% (18/125) in the MA-TKA group and 6.9% (7/102) in the KA-TKA group, with no statistical difference (χ2=3.256,P=0.071). Conclusions: There are greater patella lateral tilt at 6 months postoperatively in the KA-TKA group compared with the MA-TKA group, but this radiographic difference could not show differences of clinical outcomes and postoperative ROM, the frequency of intraoperative lateral patellar retinacular release wouldn't increase. Therefore, KA-TKA does not increase the difficulty of postoperative patellofemoral joint complications and intraoperative lateral patellar release.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
Implantation of a device is usually required in cardiac sarcoidosis (CS) patients presenting with advanced conduction abnormalities or ventricular arrhythmias. A cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT) device is often chosen in patients with concomitant left ventricular systolic impairment. The role of CRT in CS is not well established.
Purpose
To describe the cohort of CS patients with CRT device in situ in our hospital focusing on the short-term effect in serial echocardiography and long-term outcomes on morbidity and mortality.
Methods
All consecutive CS patients with a CRT device in situ were identified in our CS database (2005–2022). A confident CS diagnosis was provided after review of all relevant clinical and imaging baseline data in our CS multi-disciplinary meeting and a consensus decision for CRT-D implantation was made based on international guidelines. All patients were followed up for at least 6 months with serial echocardiography. Serial data regarding symptoms, rhythm disturbance and echocardiographic parameters were obtained and comparisons were performed using Wilcoxon signed rank test.
Results
A total of 51 CS patients with CRT-D were identified (mean age: 57±10 years old). Patients were male predominant (64.7%) and Caucasian in origin (86.2%). Extra-cardiac sarcoidosis was confirmed histologically in 33 (64.7%) patients. The prevalence of smoking, diabetes, hypertension and ischaemic heart disease was 27.5%, 21.6%, 49.0% and 7.8% respectively. At the time of device implantation or during follow-up, 43 (84.3%) patients were found to have active cardiac sarcoidosis on cardiac PET.
Post CRT implantation there was a significant difference in LV ejection fraction (35.9±15.0% vs 42.2±14.1%, p<0.001), LV end-systolic diameter (4.90±1.46 cm vs 4.62±1.32 cm, p=0.012) and LV end-diastolic diameter (5.99±1.18 cm vs 5.66±1.06 cm, p<0.001). No significant changes were observed in the right ventricular function (p=0.09) and severity of mitral regurgitation (p=0.40). There was one patient who experienced acute heart failure decompensation admission within six months of CRT-D implantation. The New York Heart Association (NYHA) class improved in 26 patients (51.0%), worsened in 4 (7.8%) patients and remained the same in 21 (41.2%) patients at 6 months post CRT-implantation. During the mean follow up of 47.6 months, the composite end-point of death and cardiac transplantation was reached in 9 (17.6%) patients (8 deaths and 1 cardiac transplantation). 5 patients had major complications including a large haematoma, a small atrio-septal defect, haemothorax, device associated endocarditis and lead fracture. Minor wound infections were seen in 3 patients and 4 patients received inappropriate shock or anti-tachycardia pacing.
Conclusions
CRT in cardiac sarcoidosis patients is associated with short-term improvement in LV remodelling and functional status but over a four year follow up, morbidity and mortality are common.

Abstract
To construct a non-communicable disease system recommended by WHO, develop the key techniques and promote their applications, obtain the main health indicators and understand the prevalence of chronic diseases, and provide support for the prevention, control and research of chronic diseases. Based on factor analysis, K-means clustering and multi-cluster random sampling, 30 typical sampling areas at provincial level were designed and constructed; By referring to WHO's Non-communicable Disease Surveillance Framework and the American behavioral risk factor sampling and questionnaire and combined with China's actual needs, a comprehensive surveillance system for chronic diseases, covering morbidity and mortality, risk factor exposure and community management and control of chronic diseases, was established, a "5+12+1" quality control system for surveillance data collection, management, analysis and feedback was formed and a three-level surveillance information management platform and information technology construction standards in the province were established, resulting the integration of life registration, chronic disease case reporting and community chronic disease management. Using these key techniques, we have obtained high-quality surveillance data of the whole province, produced the main health indicators, carried out research of chronic diseases, and analyze the prevalence and changing trend of the main chronic diseases and related risk factors to boost the government's practical projects for the reform of the people's livelihood and facilitate the construction of "Healthy Zhejiang". The successful experiences and key techniques have been applied in the construction of chronic disease surveillance system in some provinces in China.

New insights into the influence of myo-inositol on carbohydrate metabolism during osmoregulation in Nile tilapia ( Oreochromis niloticus). ANIMAL NUTRITION (ZHONGGUO XU MU SHOU YI XUE HUI) 2022; 10:86-98. [PMID: 35647324 PMCID: PMC9124673 DOI: 10.1016/j.aninu.2022.04.006] [Citation(s) in RCA: 6] [Impact Index Per Article: 3.0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Key Words] [Track Full Text] [Download PDF] [Figures] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 12/21/2021] [Revised: 03/08/2022] [Accepted: 04/20/2022] [Indexed: 11/21/2022]
Abstract
A two-factor (2 × 3) orthogonal test was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary myo-inositol (MI) on the osmoregulation and carbohydrate metabolism of euryhaline fish tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) under sustained hypertonic stress (20 practical salinity units [psu]). 6 diets containing either normal carbohydrate (NC, 30%) or high carbohydrate (HC, 45%) levels, with 3 levels (0, 400 and 1,200 mg/kg diet) of MI, respectively, were fed to 540 fish under 20 psu for 8 weeks. Dietary MI supplementation significantly improved growth performance and crude protein content of whole fish, and decreased the content of crude lipid of whole fish (P < 0.05). Curled, disordered gill lamella and cracked gill filament cartilage were observed in the gill of fish fed diets without MI supplementation. The ion transport capacity in gill was significantly improved in the 1,200 mg/kg MI supplementation groups compared with the 0 mg/kg MI groups (P < 0.05). Moreover, the contents of Na+, K+, Cl− in serum were markedly reduced with the dietary MI supplementation (P < 0.05). The fish fed 1,200 mg/kg MI supplementation had the highest MI content in the gills and the lowest MI content in the serum (P < 0.05). Additionally, the fish fed with 1,200 mg/kg MI supplementation had the highest MI synthesis capacity in gills and brain (P < 0.05). Dietary MI markedly promoted the ability of carbohydrate metabolism in liver (P < 0.05). Moreover, fish in the 1,200 mg/kg MI groups had the highest antioxidant capacity (P < 0.05). This study indicated that high dietary carbohydrate would intensify stress, and impair the ability of osmoregulation in tilapia under a long-term hypersaline exposure. The supplementation of MI at 1,200 mg/kg in the high carbohydrate diet could promote carbohydrate utilization and improve the osmoregulation capacity of tilapia under long-term hypertonic stress.
