Abstract
This Letter presents the first study of Higgs boson production in association with a vector boson (V=W or Z) in the fully hadronic qqbb final state using data recorded by the ATLAS detector at the LHC in proton-proton collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 137 fb^{-1}. The vector bosons and Higgs bosons are each reconstructed as large-radius jets and tagged using jet substructure techniques. Dedicated tagging algorithms exploiting b-tagging properties are used to identify jets consistent with Higgs bosons decaying into bb[over ¯]. Dominant backgrounds from multijet production are determined directly from the data, and a likelihood fit to the jet mass distribution of Higgs boson candidates is used to extract the number of signal events. The VH production cross section is measured inclusively and differentially in several ranges of Higgs boson transverse momentum: 250-450, 450-650, and greater than 650 GeV. The inclusive signal yield relative to the standard model expectation is observed to be μ=1.4_{-0.9}^{+1.0} and the corresponding cross section is 3.1±1.3(stat)_{-1.4}^{+1.8}(syst) pb.

Abstract
ATLAS measured the centrality dependence of the dijet yield using 165 nb^{-1} of p+Pb data collected at sqrt[s_{NN}]=8.16 TeV in 2016. The event centrality, which reflects the p+Pb impact parameter, is characterized by the total transverse energy registered in the Pb-going side of the forward calorimeter. The central-to-peripheral ratio of the scaled dijet yields, R_{CP}, is evaluated, and the results are presented as a function of variables that reflect the kinematics of the initial hard parton scattering process. The R_{CP} shows a scaling with the Bjorken x of the parton originating from the proton, x_{p}, while no such trend is observed as a function of x_{Pb}. This analysis provides unique input to understanding the role of small proton spatial configurations in p+Pb collisions by covering parton momentum fractions from the valence region down to x_{p}∼10^{-3} and x_{Pb}∼4×10^{-4}.

Abstract
Purpose/objectives The growing use of stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) in metastatic cancer has led to its use in varying anatomic locations. The objective of this study was to review our institutional SBRT experience for axillary metastases (AM), focusing on outcomes and process. Materials/methods Patients treated with SBRT to AM from 2014 to 2022 were reviewed. Cumulative incidence functions were used to estimate the incidence of local failure (LF), with death as competing risk. Kaplan-Meier method was used to estimate progression-free (PFS) and overall survival (OS). Univariate regression analysis examined predictors of LF. Results We analyzed 37 patients with 39 AM who received SBRT. Patients were predominantly female (60 %) and elderly (median age: 72). Median follow-up was 14.6 months. Common primary cancers included breast (43 %), skin (19 %), and lung (14 %). Treatment indication included oligoprogression (46 %), oligometastases (35 %) and symptomatic progression (19 %). A minority had prior overlapping radiation (18 %) or surgery (11 %). Most had prior systemic therapy (70 %).Significant heterogeneity in planning technique was identified; a minority of patient received 4-D CT scans (46 %), MR-simulation (21 %), or contrast (10 %). Median dose was 40 Gy (interquartile range (IQR): 35-40) in 5 fractions, (BED10 = 72 Gy). Seventeen cases (44 %) utilized a low-dose elective volume to cover remaining axilla.At first assessment, 87 % had partial or complete response, with a single progression. Of symptomatic patients (n = 14), 57 % had complete resolution and 21 % had improvement. One and 2-year LF rate were 16 % and 20 %, respectively. Univariable analysis showed increasing BED reduced risk of LF. Median OS was 21.0 months (95 % [Confidence Interval (CI)] 17.3-not reached) and median PFS was 7.0 months (95 % [CI] 4.3-11.3). Two grade 3 events were identified, and no grade 4/5. Conclusion Using SBRT for AM demonstrated low rates of toxicity and LF, and respectable symptom improvement. Variation in treatment delivery has prompted development of an institutional protocol to standardize technique and increase efficiency. Limited followup may limit detection of local failure and late toxicity.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Heart failure (HF) patients are at a greater risk for nosocomial infections due to their higher prevalence of comorbidities, readmission rates, and prolonged hospital stays. Clostridioides difficile infection (CDI) remains a common nosocomial infection in hospitalized patients. AIM To identify patients with a diagnosis of acute HF and stratified based on the presence of CDI, using the National Inpatient Sample (NIS) database from 2016 to 2020. METHODS Adjusted odds ratios (aOR) of in-hospital outcomes were calculated, and a propensity-matched analysis was performed. FINDINGS Of 536,595 acute HF hospitalizations in this timeframe, 3030 were also diagnosed with CDI (0.56%). Patients with acute HF and CDI had significantly higher in-hospital mortality (adjusted odds ratio: (aOR): 1.91), cardiac arrest (aOR: 1.66), and use of mechanical circulatory support (MCS) (aOR 2.42). In propensity-matched analysis, in-hospital mortality (13.71 vs 8.44%; P=0.005), septic shock (7.54 vs 3.33%; P=0.002), and use of MCS (7.19 vs 3.68%; P=0.009) were significantly higher in HF patients with CDI than without. Coexisting neurological disease (aOR: 3.74) and liver disease (aOR: 2.97) showed the strongest association as independent predictors of mortality. HF patients with CDI had longer hospital stays (14.45 ± 19.40 vs 5.44 ± 7.10 days; P<0.0001) and higher inflation-adjusted total hospital costs ($186,225 ± 376,485 vs $60,740 ± 153,992; P<0.001) compared to those without CDI. CONCLUSION The occurrence of concomitant CDI in patients admitted with acute HF exacerbation is associated with worse in-hospital outcomes and deaths as well as longer hospitalizations and greater financial cost.

Abstract
Searches for new resonances are performed using an unsupervised anomaly-detection technique. Events with at least one electron or muon are selected from 140 fb^{-1} of pp collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV recorded by ATLAS at the Large Hadron Collider. The approach involves training an autoencoder on data, and subsequently defining anomalous regions based on the reconstruction loss of the decoder. Studies focus on nine invariant mass spectra that contain pairs of objects consisting of one light jet or b jet and either one lepton (e,μ), photon, or second light jet or b jet in the anomalous regions. No significant deviations from the background hypotheses are observed. Limits on contributions from generic Gaussian signals with various widths of the resonance mass are obtained for nine invariant masses in the anomalous regions.

Abstract
Kounis syndrome is defined as cardiovascular symptoms that occur secondary to allergic or hypersensitivity insults, and is also called allergic angina and allergic myocardial infarction. We report a case of pre-operative ceftriaxone-induced Kounis syndrome with no evident dermatological manifestation, and describe our diagnostic dilemma. The patient was symptomatically managed and discharged in stable condition with a warning against future use of ceftriaxone.

Abstract
This Letter reports the observation of WZγ production and a measurement of its cross section using 140.1±1.2 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collision data recorded at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The WZγ production cross section, with both the W and Z bosons decaying leptonically, pp→WZγ→ℓ^{'}^{±}νℓ^{+}ℓ^{-}γ (ℓ^{(^{'})}=e, μ), is measured in a fiducial phase-space region defined such that the leptons and the photon have high transverse momentum and the photon is isolated. The cross section is found to be 2.01±0.30(stat)±0.16(syst) fb. The corresponding standard model predicted cross section calculated at next-to-leading order in perturbative quantum chromodynamics and at leading order in the electroweak coupling constant is 1.50±0.06 fb. The observed significance of the WZγ signal is 6.3σ, compared with an expected significance of 5.0σ.

Abstract
Abstract Antioxidants are materials that scavenge or remove free radicals from living systems. The oxidation process ends in the production of free radicals. These free radicals are the chief birthplace of cancerous cells. Antioxidizing agents remove free radical intermediates by terminating oxidation processes by being oxidized themselves. On the other hand, infectious diseases affect the world on a large scale. To fight these diseases several synthetic compounds have been used. Plant based medications play important role in this regard. So, the current research aimed to investigate the antibacterial and antioxidant effect of Berberis lycium Royle root bark (BLR) extract. Berberis lycium Royle was used for phytochemical analysis and also as antimicrobial and antioxidant agents. The antimicrobial activity was evaluated by the agar well diffusion method. Current study revealed that BLR was rich in phytochemicals and toxic against tested pathogenic bacteria. BLR showed the highest activity against S. pyogenes (13.3±0.8 mm). The lowest antibacterial activity was reported against E. coli (0±0 mm). In case of minimum inhibitory concentration, it was observed that BLR with 10 μg/mL concentration showed the highest activity while 2.5 μg/mL of BLR showed the least inhibitory activity. The highest In vitro antioxidant activity was recorded as 65% at 100 µg/mL. In case of in vivo antioxidant activity level of CAT, GSH and SOD were decreased while that of MDA was enhanced in groups treated with CCl4 as compared to the control group. BLR extract treatment reversed all these changes significantly. Current results indicate that BLR is effective against bacterial pathogens and also has antioxidant potential.

Abstract
A measurement of the mass of the Higgs boson combining the H→ZZ^{*}→4ℓ and H→γγ decay channels is presented. The result is based on 140 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collision data collected by the ATLAS detector during LHC run 2 at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV combined with the run 1 ATLAS mass measurement, performed at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, yielding a Higgs boson mass of 125.11±0.09(stat)±0.06(syst)=125.11±0.11 GeV. This corresponds to a 0.09% precision achieved on this fundamental parameter of the Standard Model of particle physics.

Abstract
A search for events with a dark photon produced in association with a dark Higgs boson via rare decays of the standard model Z boson is presented, using 139 fb^{-1} of sqrt[s]=13 TeV proton-proton collision data recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The dark boson decays into a pair of dark photons, and at least two of the three dark photons must each decay into a pair of electrons or muons, resulting in at least two same-flavor opposite-charge lepton pairs in the final state. The data are found to be consistent with the background prediction, and upper limits are set on the dark photon's coupling to the dark Higgs boson times the kinetic mixing between the standard model photon and the dark photon, α_{D}ϵ^{2}, in the dark photon mass range of [5, 40] GeV except for the ϒ mass window [8.8, 11.1] GeV. This search explores new parameter space not previously excluded by other experiments.

Abstract
AIMS Mental health related stigma and discrimination is a universal phenomenon and a contributor to the adversity experienced by people with schizophrenia. Research has produced inconsistent findings on how discrimination differs across settings and the contextual factors that underpin these differences. This study investigates the association between country-level Human Development Index (HDI) and experienced and anticipated discrimination reported by people with schizophrenia. METHODS This study is a secondary data analysis of a global cross-sectional survey completed by people living with schizophrenia across 29 countries, between 2005 and 2008. Experienced and anticipated discrimination were assessed using the Discrimination and Stigma Scale (DISC-10). Countries were classified according to their 2006 HDI. Negative binomial and Poisson regression analyses with a robust standard errors approach were conducted to investigate associations between country-level HDI and discrimination. RESULTS In the regression analyses, no evidence was found for a linear association between HDI and experienced or anticipated discrimination. Further exploratory analyses showed a significant non-linear association between HDI ratings and experienced discrimination. Participants in "high" and "very high" HDI countries reported more experienced discrimination compared to those in "medium" HDI countries. CONCLUSIONS HDI does, to some extent, appear to be associated with how far discrimination is experienced across different contexts. More high-quality cross-national research, including research focused on "medium" and "low" countries, is needed to substantiate these findings and identify underlying factors that may explain the pattern observed for experienced discrimination, including generating new datasets that would enable for these analyses to be repeated and contrasted with more recent data. An in-depth understanding of these factors will further aid the adaptation of cross-cultural and context specific anti-stigma interventions in future.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Legionella pneumophila is a water-borne bacterium that can cause Legionnaires' disease. Legiolert® (IDEXX, USA) is a low-labour liquid culture assay for the detection and enumeration of L. pneumophila (SG1-15) from water. AIM To analyse concordance between Legiolert and ISO 11731:2017 plate culture method (membrane filtration and culture on selective agars) using hospital water samples (N = 100). METHODS Incubation was at 39 °C and 36 °C, respectively, for seven days, followed by most-probable enumeration for Legiolert and subculturing and serogrouping of suspected Legionella colonies, with plate culture. FINDINGS L. pneumophila (SG1-15) was isolated from 25 out of 100 samples when using Legiolert or plate culture. Fourteen additional Legiolert samples tested positive for L. pneumophila; analysis of the same samples by plate culture was negative (12 out of 14) or yielded only Legionella rubrilucens (two out of 14; confirmed via matrix-assisted ionization/desorption time-of-flight mass spectrometry). L. pneumophila was not captured from Quanti-Tray/Legiolert pouch wells of these positive samples after subculture of puncture aliquots on buffered charcoal yeast-extract agar. Both methods in concordance did not detect L. pneumophila in 61 out of 100 samples. CONCLUSION Legiolert and plate culture are both satisfactory methods to detect L. pneumophila from water samples, and both to detect isolated L. pneumophila in 25% of the sample population. Legiolert provides a faster time to result, and is less resource-demanding and labour-intensive; however, there may be a low risk of cross-reactivity with other organisms. Both methods are suitable for the analysis of water in healthcare settings, where the monitoring of L. pneumophila is imperative in preventing cases of Legionnaires' disease.

Abstract
This Letter reports the observation of single top quarks produced together with a photon, which directly probes the electroweak coupling of the top quark. The analysis uses 139 fb^{-1} of 13 TeV proton-proton collision data collected with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. Requiring a photon with transverse momentum larger than 20 GeV and within the detector acceptance, the fiducial cross section is measured to be 688±23(stat) _{-71}^{+75}(syst) fb, to be compared with the standard model prediction of 515_{-42}^{+36} fb at next-to-leading order in QCD.

This letter presents a measurement of the nuclear modification factor of large-radius jets in sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV Pb+Pb collisions by the ATLAS experiment. The measurement is performed using 1.72 nb^{-1} and 257 pb^{-1} of Pb+Pb and pp data, respectively. Abstract
A key open question in the study of multiparticle production in high-energy pp collisions is the relationship between the "ridge"-i.e., the observed azimuthal correlations between particles in the underlying event that extend over all rapidities-and hard or semihard scattering processes. In particular, it is not known whether jets or their soft fragments are correlated with particles in the underlying event. To address this question, two-particle correlations are measured in pp collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV using data collected by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC, with an integrated luminosity of 15.8 pb^{-1}, in two different configurations. In the first case, charged particles associated with jets are excluded from the correlation analysis, while in the second case, correlations are measured between particles within jets and charged particles from the underlying event. Second-order flow coefficients, v_{2}, are presented as a function of event multiplicity and transverse momentum. These measurements show that excluding particles associated with jets does not affect the measured correlations. Moreover, particles associated with jets do not exhibit any significant azimuthal correlations with the underlying event, ruling out hard processes contributing to the ridge.

Abstract
A search is made for potential ccc[over ¯]c[over ¯] tetraquarks decaying into a pair of charmonium states in the four muon final state using proton-proton collision data at sqrt[s]=13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^{-1} recorded by the ATLAS experiment at LHC. Two decay channels, J/ψ+J/ψ→4μ and J/ψ+ψ(2S)→4μ, are studied. Backgrounds are estimated based on a hybrid approach involving Monte Carlo simulations and data-driven methods. Statistically significant excesses with respect to backgrounds dominated by the single parton scattering are seen in the di-J/ψ channel consistent with a narrow resonance at 6.9 GeV and a broader structure at lower mass. A statistically significant excess is also seen in the J/ψ+ψ(2S) channel. The fitted masses and decay widths of the structures are reported.

Abstract
This Letter reports the observation of τ-lepton-pair production in ultraperipheral lead-lead collisions Pb+Pb→Pb(γγ→ττ)Pb and constraints on the τ-lepton anomalous magnetic moment a_{τ}. The dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 1.44 nb^{-1} of LHC Pb+Pb collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV recorded by the ATLAS experiment in 2018. Selected events contain one muon from a τ-lepton decay, an electron or charged-particle track(s) from the other τ-lepton decay, little additional central-detector activity, and no forward neutrons. The γγ→ττ process is observed in Pb+Pb collisions with a significance exceeding 5 standard deviations and a signal strength of μ_{ττ}=1.03_{-0.05}^{+0.06} assuming the standard model value for a_{τ}. To measure a_{τ}, a template fit to the muon transverse-momentum distribution from τ-lepton candidates is performed, using a dimuon (γγ→μμ) control sample to constrain systematic uncertainties. The observed 95% confidence-level interval for a_{τ} is -0.057

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) The growing use of stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) in metastatic cancer has led to applications in new and unique anatomic locations, highlighting the importance of effective, safe, reproducible treatment delivery. The objective of this study was to review our institutional SBRT experience for axillary metastases (AM), focusing on outcomes, safety and process. MATERIALS/METHODS In this ethics approved single-institution retrospective review, patients treated with SBRT to AM from 2014-2022 had tumor, treatment planning, and dosimetric variables abstracted. Toxicity was assessed per Common Terminology for Adverse Events V5.0. Cumulative incidence functions were used to estimate the incidence of local failure (LF), with death as competing risk. Kaplan-Meier method was used to estimate progression-free (PFS) and overall survival (OS). RESULTS We analyzed 37 patients with 39 AM who received SBRT. Patients were predominantly female (60%), Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status 0-1 (62%), and elderly (median age: 72), with a median follow-up of 14.6 months. Common primary sites included breast (n = 16, 43%), skin (n = 7, 19%), and lung (n = 5, 14%). Treatment indication included oligoprogression (n = 18, 46%), oligometastases (n = 14, 36%) and symptomatic progression (n = 7, 18%). A minority had prior overlapping radiation (n = 7, 18%) or regional surgery (n = 4, 11%), while most had prior systemic therapy (n = 26, 70%). Significant heterogeneity in simulation, planning and treatment was identified. Immobilization included 5-point thermoplastic mask (n = 12, 32%), Vacloc (n = 12, 32%) arms-up thorax bag (n = 11, 30%). 4-D CT scans were obtained in 46%, MR simulation in 21%, and intravenous contrast in 10%. Median dose was 40 Gy (interquartile range (IQR): 35-40) in 5 fractions, (BED10 = 72 Gy), over a median of 12 days (IQR: 9-14). Seventeen cases (44%) utilized a low-dose elective volume to cover remaining axilla; 14% used a high dose clinical target volume. Median planning target volume margin was 5mm (range: 3-10mm), and plans were generated with 5 different dose constraint protocols. At first radiographic assessment, 87% had partial or complete response, with a single progression. Of symptomatic patients (n = 14), 57% had complete symptom resolution and 21% had improvement. One and 2-year LF rate were 19% and 31%, respectively. Median OS was 21.0 months (95% [Confidence Interval (CI)] 17.3-not reached) and median PFS was 7.0 months (95% [CI] 4.3-11.3). Acute and late toxicities were uncommon, with two grade 3 events (1 plexopathy in a case with tumor involving brachial plexus, 1 skin ulceration) identified, and no grade 4/5. CONCLUSION In this series of AM SBRT, low rates of toxicity, and good rates of LF and symptom improvement were observed. As treatment was delivered with a variety of individual treatment differences, an institutional protocol is under development to standardize technique, optimize efficiency and improve evaluability.

Abstract
Babesiosis is a parasitic disease caused by intraerythrocytic parasites of the genus Babesia, which infect both wild and domestic animals. Merozoite surface antigens (MSAs) have been identified as efficient immunogens in Babesia-infected animals. MSAs play a key role in the invasion process and have been proposed as potential targets for vaccine development. Epitope-based vaccines offer several advantages over whole protein vaccines as the immunogenic proteins are small and can induce both Th1 and Th2 immune responses, which are desirable for protection. However, the MSA, particularly gp45, is polymorphic in Babesia bigemina, posing a challenge to vaccine development. The purpose of this study was to develop a recombinant gpME (gp45-multi-epitope) for a vaccine against Babesia bigemina. B-cell, T-cell, and HLA epitope predictions were used to synthesize the gpME sequence from the consensus sequence of gp45. The gpME sequence was synthesized and cloned in the pET28α vector through the commercial biotechnology company to get pET28-gpME. The plasmid cloned with the gpME sequence comprising 1068 bp was expressed in a bacterial expression system. A band of 39 kDa of rec-gpME was obtained via SDS-PAGE and Western blotting. Rec-gpME @200ng was injected in calves 3 times at 2 weeks interval. The humoral response was evaluated through the indirect ELISA method. The ELISA with rec-gp45 protein showed a significant value of optical density. The recombinant protein containing multiple epitopes from the MSA gp45 may represent a promising candidate for a vaccine against Babesia bigemina.

Abstract
Currently, there is a shortfall in the number of suitable organs available for transplant resulting in a high number of patients on the active transplant waiting lists worldwide. To address this shortfall and increase the utilization of donor organs, the acceptance criteria for donor organs is gradually expanding including increased use of organs from donation after circulatory death. Use of such extended criteria donors and exposure of organs to more prolonged periods of warm or cold ischaemia also increases the risk of primary graft dysfunction occurring. Normothermic machine perfusion (NMP) offers a unique opportunity to objectively assess donor organ function outside the donor body and potentially recondition those deemed unsuitable on initial evaluation prior to implantation in the recipient. Furthermore, NMP provides a platform to support the use of established and novel therapeutics delivered directly to the organ, without the need to worry about potential deleterious 'off-target' side effects typically considered when treating the whole patient. This review will explore some of the novel therapeutics currently being added to perfusion platforms during NMP experimentally in an attempt to improve organ function and post-transplant outcomes.

Abstract
This paper concerns improving endotracheal tube (ETT) insertion through advanced computational science modelling. The study aims to better understand endotracheal intubation (ETI) and reduce medical errors in intensive and critical care units since ETT insertion is unique for each patient, depending on age, gender, size, physiology, and underlying health conditions. We have employed computational fluid dynamics and biomechanics modelling to investigate the effect of ETT for three ventilation modes on (a) local oxygen delivery to the lungs, (b) air pressure and wall shear stress at the tracheal walls, and (c) oscillatory elastic deformation of the tracheal tissues and muscle. For the first time, we reveal how the ventilation mode and ETT insertion in the trachea may induce major complications, especially in long periods of ETT. We show that rotating the ETT or displacing it by 2 mm only can induce a significant rise in the tracheal pressure up to 177 cmH2O. This study, for the first time, shows the vital role of computers in biology and medicine to provide enhanced decision-making-support to clinicians and medical doctors dealing with ETI.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for lung cancers allows for safe ablative radiation doses to be delivered precisely to treat localized stage 1 lung cancers and for the treatment of lung oligometastasis/es. The successful delivery of lung SBRT requires multidisciplinary technical expertise, from radiation oncologists, medical physicists, radiation therapists, and a clinical specialist radiation therapist in SBRT. While the majority of SBRT lung set-ups are routine, we present a challenging situation in the lung SBRT set-up for a patient with severe kyphosis. CASE AND OUTCOMES An 80-year-old woman was diagnosed with a right upper lobe non-small cell lung cancer. She declined surgery and was referred for lung SBRT. Her severe kyphosis did present challenges in terms of reproducible lung SBRT set-up. We were successful in immobilizing this patient in a vacuum customized rigid support which was shaped to accommodate this patient's extreme kyphosis and elevated head. The patient tolerated the treatment position and successfully completed her lung SBRT treatments comfortably, without any reproducibility issues. Four months after SBRT, the patient was doing well without any new chest symptoms. DISCUSSION This report is the first, in the published medical literature, to describe a lung SBRT set-up for a patient with extreme kyphosis. Her successful set-up and ability to complete her lung SBRT was dependent on creative problem-solving from the multi-disciplinary team and a patient-centred approach to care CONCLUSION: Multidisciplinary collaboration was essential in the successful SBRT treatment for a severely kyphotic patient. The use of a vacuum customized thoracic rigid support was effectively used in a patient with severe kyphosis for lung SBRT. Results from this case report could be useful and guide other clinicians if presented with similarly challenging cases.

Abstract
Jet quenching is the process of color-charged partons losing energy via interactions with quark-gluon plasma droplets created in heavy-ion collisions. The collective expansion of such droplets is well described by viscous hydrodynamics. Similar evidence of collectivity is consistently observed in smaller collision systems, including pp and p+Pb collisions. In contrast, while jet quenching is observed in Pb+Pb collisions, no evidence has been found in these small systems to date, raising fundamental questions about the nature of the system created in these collisions. The ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider has measured the yield of charged hadrons correlated with reconstructed jets in 0.36 nb^{-1} of p+Pb and 3.6 pb^{-1} of pp collisions at 5.02 TeV. The yields of charged hadrons with p_{T}^{ch}>0.5 GeV near and opposite in azimuth to jets with p_{T}^{jet}>30 or 60 GeV, and the ratios of these yields between p+Pb and pp collisions, I_{pPb}, are reported. The collision centrality of p+Pb events is categorized by the energy deposited by forward neutrons from the struck nucleus. The I_{pPb} values are consistent with unity within a few percent for hadrons with p_{T}^{ch}>4 GeV at all centralities. These data provide new, strong constraints that preclude almost any parton energy loss in central p+Pb collisions.

A search for a long-lived, heavy neutral lepton (N) in 139 fb^{-1} of sqrt[s]=13 TeV pp collision data collected by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider is reported. The N is produced via W→Nμ or W→Ne and decays into two charged leptons and a neutrino, forming a displaced vertex. The N mass is used to discriminate between signal and background. No signal is observed, and limits are set on the squared mixing parameters of the N with the left-handed neutrino states for the N mass range 3 GeV

Abstract
A test of CP invariance in Higgs boson production via vector-boson fusion has been performed in the H→γγ channel using 139 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collision data at sqrt[s]=13 TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The optimal observable method is used to probe the CP structure of interactions between the Higgs boson and electroweak gauge bosons, as described by an effective field theory. No sign of CP violation is observed in the data. Constraints are set on the parameters describing the strength of the CP-odd component in the coupling between the Higgs boson and the electroweak gauge bosons in two effective field theory bases: d[over ˜] in the HISZ basis and c_{HW[over ˜]} in the Warsaw basis. The results presented are the most stringent constraints on CP violation in the coupling between Higgs and weak bosons. The 95% C.L. constraint on d[over ˜] is derived for the first time and the 95% C.L. constraint on c_{HW[over ˜]} has been improved by a factor of 5 compared to the previous measurement.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The COVID-19 pandemic has led to wide-ranging disruption of head-neck cancer (HNC) service provision in the UK. Early reports suggest delays in referral, diagnosis and initiation of treatment for new cancer cases compared with before the pandemic. METHODS The HNC service was studied retrospectively for the time-periods between 1 January 2020 to 31 October 2020 (hereafter 'post-COVID') and 1 January 2019 to 31 October 2019 (hereafter 'pre-COVID'). We analysed: (1) the number of cases treated at our centre, (2) stage of disease at presentation and (3) treatment delivery times. RESULTS In the post-COVID period, the total number of HNC cases treated decreased (48 vs 56 pre-COVID). There was increase in advanced stage at presentation (58% vs 42% pre-COVID) and a significant increase in the need for airway stabilisation (13 vs 5 pre-COVID; p=0.03). Average time from referral to treatment was significantly prolonged (72.5 days vs 49.23 days pre-COVID; p=0.03). Two-week wait referrals were seen in HNC clinics at median time of 11.9 days, compared with 7.1 days during the pre-COVID period (p=0.07). However, there was no delay in the initiation of first treatment after the decision to treat (29.2 days vs 24.7 days pre-COVID; p=0.58). CONCLUSION The results of this study call for early referral at the primary care level and rapid radiopathological confirmation at the tertiary level to prevent delays in diagnosis of new HNC cases.

Abstract
BACKGROUND As Artificial Intelligence and social robots are increasingly used in health and social care, it is imperative to explore the training needs of the workforce, factoring in their cultural background. OBJECTIVES Explore views on perceived training needs among professionals around the world and how these related to country cultures. DESIGN Cross-sectional, descriptive, mixed-methods international online survey. METHODS Descriptive statistical analysis explored the ranking across countries and relationships with three Hofstede cultural dimensions. Thematic analysis was conducted on the open-ended text responses. RESULTS A sample of N = 1284 participants from eighteen countries. Knowing the capabilities of the robots was ranked as the top training need across all participating countries and this was also reflected in the thematic analysis. Participants' culture, expressed through three Hofstede's dimensions, revealed statistically significant ranking differences. CONCLUSIONS Future research should further explore other factors such as the level of digital maturity of the workplace. IMPACT STATEMENT Training needs of health and social care staff to use robotics are fast growing and preparation should factor in patient safety and be based on the principles of person- and culture-centred care.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to determine the quality of fetal biometry and pulsed-wave Doppler ultrasound measurements in a prospective cohort study in Uganda. METHODS This was an ancillary study of the Ending Preventable Stillbirths by Improving Diagnosis of Babies at Risk (EPID) project, in which women enroled in early pregnancy underwent Doppler and fetal biometric assessment at 32-40 weeks of gestation. Sonographers undertook 6 weeks of training followed by onsite refresher training and audit exercises. A total of 125 images for each of the umbilical artery (UA), fetal middle cerebral artery (MCA), left and right uterine arteries (UtA), head circumference (HC), abdominal circumference (AC) and femur length (FL) were selected randomly from the EPID study database and evaluated independently by two experts in a blinded fashion using objective scoring criteria. Inter-rater agreement was assessed using modified Fleiss' kappa for nominal variables and systematic errors were explored using quantile-quantile (Q-Q) plots. RESULTS For Doppler measurements, 96.8% of the UA images, 84.8% of the MCA images and 93.6% of the right UtA images were classified as of acceptable quality by both reviewers. For fetal biometry, 96.0% of the HC images, 96.0% of the AC images and 88.0% of the FL images were considered acceptable by both reviewers. The kappa values for inter-rater reliability of quality assessment were 0.94 (95% CI, 0.87-0.99) for the UA, 0.71 (95% CI, 0.58-0.82) for the MCA, 0.87 (95% CI, 0.78-0.95) for the right UtA, 0.94 (95% CI, 0.87-0.98) for the HC, 0.93 (95% CI, 0.87-0.98) for the AC and 0.78 (95% CI, 0.66-0.88) for the FL measurements. The Q-Q plots indicated no influence of systematic bias in the measurements. CONCLUSIONS Training local healthcare providers to perform Doppler ultrasound, and implementing quality control systems and audits using objective scoring tools in clinical and research settings, is feasible in low- and middle-income countries. Although we did not assess the impact of in-service retraining offered to practitioners deviating from prescribed standards, such interventions should enhance the quality of ultrasound measurements and should be investigated in future studies. © 2022 The Authors. Abstract
Heart and blood vessel disorders, such as coronary heart disease, brain vessel disease, rheumatic heart disease, and others, are together referred to as cardiovascular disease (CVD). In this study, we sought to determine how mitochondrial Leucine Transfer RNA genes and CVDs are related (MT-L1 and MT-L2). From CVD patients in Peshawar, a total of 27 saliva samples were taken. Leu-tRNA genes expressed by mitochondria were amplified using polymerase chain reaction after DNA was removed. Ten samples were sent for sequencing after PCR and gene cleaning. We obtained all of the sequenced results, which were subsequently aligned and evaluated against the mitochondrial revised Cambridge Reference Sequence (rCRS). However, in our sequenced samples, Leu-tRNA MT-L1 and MT-L2 genes were determined to be unaltered. Thus, it is suggested that a large population be taken into account while screening for mutations in the mitochondrial encoded Leu-tRNA MT-L1 and MT-L2 genes of cardiac patients in areas of Pakistan. Additionally, it is recommended that patients with cardiac problems should also have other mitochondrial encoded genes checked for potential mutations. This could result in the identification of genetic markers that could be used for early CVD screening in Pakistan.

Abstract
Anaplasma marginale is the most prevalent tick-borne haemoparasite of cattle and causes huge economic losses to the dairy industry worldwide. This study aimed to determine the occurrence of A. marginale infection in blood and tick samples collected from livestock animals in the districts located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Pakistan. A total of 184 blood and 370 tick samples were included in this study. It has never been reported that sheep, goats, and cattle in Tank, Ghulam Khan, Birmil and Miran Shah areas were infected with A. marginale. All samples of blood and ticks were collected through random sampling from March 2021 to January 2022 from cattle, sheep and goats and screened through PCR for anaplasmosis by using primer pairs of Anaplasma spp. Three hundred and seventy ticks were collected from infested hosts (120/184, 64.21%). Among the four morphologically identified tick species, the highest occurrence was recorded for Rhipicephalus sanguineus (n=138, 37.29%), followed by Rhipicephalus microplus (n=131, 35.4%), Rhipicephalus annulatus (n=40, 10.81%), Hyalomma anatolicum (n=31, 8.37%), and Hyalomma marginatum (n=30, 8.1%). The occurrence of female tick was highest (n=160, 43.24%), followed by nymphs (n=140, 37.38%) and males ticks (n=70, 18.9%). Among these ticks, A. marginale was detected in female ticks of R. microplus, and R. sanguineus. Molecular identification of A. marginale was confirmed in 120 out of 184 blood samples and 6 out of 74 tick samples. Overall, occurrence of A. marginale in blood and tick samples was found to be 65.21% and 8.1% respectively. Species-wise occurrence in blood samples of goats were 71.11% followed by sheep 68.31% and cattle 50%. Specie-wise occurrence of A. marginale in tick samples of cattle were 12.5% followed by goats 6.89%. The obtained sequence showed similarity with A. marginale reported from Kenya and USA. We report the first PCR based detection of A. marginale infection in blood samples and in R. sanguineus ticks of goats simultaneously.

Abstract
Prediction of the attainment of legal age thresholds, especially in children and young adults, is a common task in medico-legal practice. In many countries, 21 years has medico-legal importance. In the present study, we assessed and compared the accuracy of the third molar maturity index (I3M) and the stages of radiographic visibility of the root pulp (RPV) in predicting the age threshold of 21 years. A sample of 910 digital panoramic radiographs (455 males and 455 females) of adolescents and young adults aged between 16 and 30 of south Indian origin were evaluated. The authors examined the performance of different I3M cut-off values and RPV stages. I3M cut-off value of 0.02 has resulted in better discrimination with an accuracy of 76.92% and 80.44%, specificity of 48.28% and 56.16% in males and females, a sensitivity of 100%, and post-test probability of 65.9% in both sexes. The accuracy and sensitivity of RPV stage 2 were 84.76% and 84.55%, 78.17%, and 78.97% in males and females, while the specificity and post-test probability were 100% in both sexes. In conclusion, the I3M method resulted in a more significant percentage of false positives and cannot be used to state the attainment of 21 years. However, the presence of RPV stage 2 could say that the subject had already attained the age of 21 years. Further studies are warranted to address the usefulness of these methods.

Abstract
The present study was focused on the incidence of ticks and tick-borne diseases (TTBD) in cross-bred cattle (Friesian x Sahiwal) of two farms (n = 2548) in district Lahore, Pakistan. We collected total of 572 ticks (adults and nymphs) and blood samples (10 ml) for microscopic i.e., blood smear test - Giemsa Stain (BST) and molecular analysis; Reverse Line Blot-General Primer-PCR (RLB-PCR) and Specie Specific Primer PCR (SP-PCR) from infested cattle (n = 100) from months of April to September. Results: The tick specie identified was Rhipicephalus microplus at both farms, with significant difference in infestations rate amongst both farms (p< 0.0001). The cross-bred cattle having higher ratio of Friesian blood and lower ratio of Sahiwal blood were mostly infested by ticks (p < 0.0458) and haemoparasites (p <0.474) and vice versa. The SP-PCR showed higher number of haemoparasites infection than BST, which revealed 16% T. annulata (p < 0.0001 and k value 0.485, 0.0001), 51% B. bigemina (p < 0.0001 and k value 0.485, 0.0001) and 15% A. marginale (p < 0.001 and k value 0.207, 0.001), respectively. The single infection with B. bigemina was 34% (n = 34/100) and A. marginale 6% (n = 6/100). The double infection with T. annulata/B. bigemina was 8% (n = 8/100) and B. bigemina/A. marginale 1% (n = 1/100). Whereas the triple infection with T. annulata/B. bigemina/A .marginale was 8% (n = 8/100). The phylogenetic study of isolated sequence of T. annulata revealed close homology to isolates from Iran (87%), B. bigemina to isolates from Cuba (94 to 100%) and A. marginale with isolates from Pakistan (99 to 98%).

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Cadaveric dissection courses have come to a standstill since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to limited operative opportunities, cancellation of such courses has severely impacted surgical training, especially in a craft-based specialty such as head-neck surgery. The aim of this educational project was to: (1) study the feasibility of an in-person head-neck cadaveric dissection course during COVID-19 pandemic; and (2) validate the educational benefit of this teaching method to ear, nose and throat (ENT) trainees. METHODS We developed a 2-day head-neck cadaveric dissection course for ENT trainees. The course programme covered essential head-neck open surgical procedures. Content validity (subjective feedback) was assessed using a 5-point Likert scale. Construct validity (objective usefulness) was evaluated via two pre- and post-course questionnaires, estimating knowledge of head-neck surgical anatomy and self-assessment of levels of confidence with head-neck procedures, respectively. RESULTS A risk assessment was conducted and a protocol developed (risk was deemed to be low/tolerable). Content validity showed high satisfaction compared with a median Likert score of 3, 'average' (p=0.000002). For construct validity, the mean score per question improved significantly (p=0.001). Overall levels of confidence showed a trend towards improvement (p=0.08). There was significant improvement in laryngectomy (p=0.01) and level I dissection (p=0.01), with an indication of improvement in level II-V dissection (p=0.07). CONCLUSIONS We demonstrated that a cadaveric dissection course, using thorough risk assessment and protocol, could be safely conducted with high content and construct validation during these unprecedented times. This is an invaluable learning environment that needs to be encouraged despite infection control restrictions.

Abstract
Bovine brucellosis is an endemic zoonotic infection of ruminants in Pakistan with detrimental impacts on livestock economy. The major losses caused by brucellosis in animals include abortions, week calves, infertility, and reduced milk production. Regardless of the prevalence of the disease, limited data is available about brucellosis in Pakistan. The present study aimed to access the one health concept in prospective of Brucellosis among small-scale dairy farmers by examining knowledge, attitude and practices at the farms and household level that might pose a risk for humans contracting brucellosis. A community-based cross-sectional survey was conducted among small household dairy farms (n=333) in rural and urban areas of district Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The results revealed almost 74.17% of the participants knew about animal brucellosis and about 69.97% of the participants were able to identify the symptoms of animal brucellosis. 58.26% of participants showed knowledge about the transmission of disease from animals to humans. A majority (70.87%) of participants used the raw milk for making other dairy products. Most household farmers are unaware of routes of transmission and major risk factors of brucellosis. Almost all the participants, except veterinarians, including butchers, dairy farm owners and workers, slaughterhouse owners and workers and farmers were involved in at least one risky practice. The moderate knowledge and poor understanding of the disease emphasize the need to initiate awareness programs to educate the farmers who are at high risk along with the improvement of vaccination programs for animals and strict implementation of brucellosis eradication policy which should be devised by government.

Abstract
The aims of this study were: (1) to identify the determinants of unmet need for access to primary care in middle-aged and older adults; and (2) to examine the reasons for unmet need. We used data from the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA), a nationally representative survey of adults aged 45 to 85 years. Respondents were asked if they ‘needed health care during the last 12 months but did not receive it’. For those who replied ‘Yes’, the survey asked for the reason(s) for not receiving the needed care. Out of 41,135 respondents, 3,468 had unmet need for healthcare in the last 12 months. Among respondents with 0, 1, 2 and ≥3 morbidities, the proportion reporting unmet need was 2.5%, 5.3%, 5.1% and 9.1% respectively. After adjusting for covariates, the odds ratios (ORs) for unmet need for 1, 2 and ≥3 morbidities (compared to no morbidity) were 1.25 (95% CI: 0.87 to 1.78; p = 0.23), 1.57 (95% CI: 1.13 to 2.17; p < 0.05) and 2.03 (95% CI: 1.51 to 2.73; p < 0.05), respectively. For income groups, the ORs for unmet need (compared to >$150,000/year) were 0.94 (95% CI: 0.79 to 1.12) for $100,000-$150,000, 1.02 (95% CI: 0.87 to 1.20;) for $50,000-$100,000, 1.30 (95% CI: 1.09 to 1.55) for $20,000-$50,000, and 1.39 (95% CI: 1.08 to 1.78) for < $20,000. Other statistically significant determinants of unmet need included age (older adults were less likely to have unmet need), sex (females were more likely), having a family physician (less likely) and perceived physical and mental health (poor health more likely to be associated with unmet need). The most common reasons for unmet need were: ‘long wait time’ (52.1%) and ‘doctor did not think it was necessary’ (16.7%). Multimorbidity and low-income are associated with higher odds of unmet need among older adults. This disparity is partly due to not having a regular family physician and long wait time to see a doctor. Reducing these barriers are critical to reducing inequalities in health outcomes.

Background/Introduction
Targets set by Public Health England (PHE) state that 90% of patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) are expected to receive anticoagulation by 2029. In 2019/2020, across three London boroughs serving a population of 770,000, the percentage of AF patients at high risk of stroke (CHA2DS2VASc>2) anticoagulated was below the target set by PHE. In addition, optimisation of risk factors can significantly reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and associated mortality in these patients.
Purpose
To provide specialist input from a cardiovascular pharmacist to prevent AF-related strokes through improvement of anticoagulation rates and optimisation of cardiovascular risk factors in patients with AF across three London boroughs over one year, as well as minimising bleed risk in patients on dual antithrombotic therapy.
Methods
A specialist cardiovascular pharmacist was commissioned to identify high-risk AF patients (CHA2DS2VASc>2) by working with primary care clinicians. Utilising “proactive care frameworks” created by UCLPartners and Clinical Effectiveness Group Queen Mary University of London, patients were stratified and prioritised for review. Patients not on anticoagulation were deemed to be at highest risk, requiring an urgent review to assess suitability for anticoagulation. A virtual multidisciplinary team (MDT) would review any complex patients and agree an action plan. Patients on dual antithrombotic therapy were also assessed to determine if antiplatelet therapy was indicated to minimise risk of major bleeding. All AF patients were reviewed for suitability of statin initiation to optimise cardiovascular risk prevention.
Results
At baseline, 86% (7581/8582) of AF patients with a CHA2DS2VASc>2 across the three boroughs were anticoagulated. 1001 patients were reviewed by a specialist pharmacist, with 84% (841/1001) of patients having a CHA2DS2VASc between 2–5, and 28% (280/1001) on antiplatelet monotherapy. Analysis at 12 months following intervention reported that 95% (7888/8280) of AF patients with a CHA2DS2VASc>2 were suitably anticoagulated, an improvement of 9%. 6% (61/1001) of patients were switched from antiplatelets and 25% (246/1001) were newly initiated on anticoagulation. 13% (130/1001) of patients required specialist MDT input to determine appropriateness for anticoagulation initiation. There was also a reduction in dual anticoagulation and antiplatelet therapy from 429 to 252 patients (41% reduction). Lastly of those reviewed, 2609 patients received a recommendation to start a statin for either primary (n=1981) or secondary prevention (n=628).
Conclusion(s)
Provision of a specialist cardiovascular pharmacist supported a multidisciplinary workforce to significantly improve and optimise cardiovascular risk, and reduce the risk of stroke in this high-risk population for people with AF across all three boroughs. By extrapolating these results nationally, 3600 strokes could be averted over 18 months.

Background
End-stage renal disease (ESRD) has significantly increased in developing countries such as Egypt [1]. There are many sites for arteriovenous fistula (AVF) creation. The most common sites for AVF are radio-cephalic AVF (RC-AVF) followed by brachio-cephalic AVF (BC-AVF) [2]. To date, there are no significant studies discussing the possible correlation between the AVF location and abnormalities in the right ventricle (RV) in hemodialysis (HD) patients.
Objective
To determine the best location for AVF in order to ensure the least possible hazardous side effects of the AVF on the RV.
Methods
Our study, designed as an interventional study, included 50 ESRD patients referred for primary AVF construction to start HD for the first time. Patients were divided into two groups, 25 patients each. one group underwent a RC-AVF construction and the other had a BC-AVF. We assessed the RV by two dimensional transthoracic echocardiography (2D TTE) twice for each patient, firstly just before the AVF surgery and secondly three months after AVF construction.
Results
There was a statistically significant difference in between study groups regarding change in RV Tei index (p=0.001) with a decrease in the radial group (Mean ± SD = −0.19±0.2) and an increase in the brachial group (Mean ± SD = 0.02±0.12), and regarding the right ventricular outflow tract proximal diameter (p<0.001) with a decrease in the radial group (Mean ± SD = −2.32±5.49) and a larger increase in the brachial group (Mean ± SD = 2.94±3.14). Changes in the other RV dimensions and functional parameters did not show statistically significant difference.
Conclusion
After three months follow up, despite the fact that all the RV parameters remained within the normal range, the RV indices with the RC-AVF were associated with either improvement or less decline than with the BC-AVF.

Aim
Presence of underlying colorectal cancer with acute appendicitis is not unfamiliar in medical literature. However, there remains no clear guidance in the follow-up care post-appendicectomy. This study aims to investigate whether acute appendicitis can be an early manifestation of colorectal cancer in older adults and determine the need of routine pre-operative CT imaging and post-operative colonoscopy as a follow-up screen for early detection of colorectal cancer.
Method
This is a retrospective study comprising 1236 patients, aged 40 years and above, who underwent appendicectomy between January 2006 to September 2021. Results of radiological investigation pre-appendicectomy and colonoscopy post-appendicectomy were reviewed. Patients who were diagnosed immediately and subsequently following appendicectomy were recorded and analysed.
Results
Of the 1236 patients underwent appendicectomy, 636 (51.5%) were male and 600 (48.5%) were female (Median age 53 years; range 40–96 years). Out of 412 (33.3%) patients who had CT imaging, only one revealed sigmoid tumour which was later confirmed as moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma. 71 (5.7%) patients had colonoscopy post-appendicectomy. Among these, two were diagnosed with caecal cancer. A total of 22 (1.8%) patients were diagnosed with colorectal cancer: 13 adenocarcinoma, 5 carcinoid tumours, 3 low-grade mucinous carcinoma peritonei and 1 lymphoma. 15 (1.2%) were diagnosed at the time of appendicectomy, whereas the remaining 7 (0.6%) were diagnosed between 6 months to 11 years post-appendicectomy.
Conclusion
Preliminary finding suggests this is an area that warrant further study. Patients aged 40 years and above may benefit from colonoscopy following appendicectomy to exclude the possibility of underlying colorectal cancer.

Abstract
This Letter reports the observation of WWW production and a measurement of its cross section using 139 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collision data recorded at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. Events with two same-sign leptons (electrons or muons) and at least two jets, as well as events with three charged leptons, are selected. A multivariate technique is then used to discriminate between signal and background events. Events from WWW production are observed with a significance of 8.0 standard deviations, where the expectation is 5.4 standard deviations. The inclusive WWW production cross section is measured to be 820±100 (stat)±80 (syst) fb, approximately 2.6 standard deviations from the predicted cross section of 511±18 fb calculated at next-to-leading-order QCD and leading-order electroweak accuracy.
