Associations of ambient temperature and total cloud cover during pregnancy with newborn vitamin D status. Public Health 2024; 231:179-186. Abstract
OBJECTIVES We aimed to estimate the effects of temperature and total cloud cover before birth on newborn vitamin D status. STUDY DESIGN Prospective birth cohort. METHODS This study included 2055 mother-newborn pairs in Wuhan, Hubei province, China. The data of temperature and total cloud cover from 30 days before birth were collected, and cord blood 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D] were determined. Restricted cubic spline regression models, multiple linear regression models, and logistic regression models were applied to estimate the associations. RESULTS A "J" shaped curve was observed between temperature and vitamin D status, and an inverse "J" shaped curve was observed between total cloud cover and vitamin D status. Compared to the fourth quartile (75-100th percentile, Q4) of average temperature (30 days before birth), the odds ratio (OR) for Q1 (0-25th percentile) associated with the vitamin D deficiency occurrence (<20 ng/mL) was 3.63 (95% CI, 1.54, 8.65). Compared to Q1 of the average total cloud cover (30 days before birth), the OR associated with the occurrence of vitamin D deficiency was 2.38 (95% CI, 1.63, 3.50) for the Q4. CONCLUSIONS Low temperature and high cloud cover before delivery were significantly associated with an increased probability of vitamin D deficiency in newborns. The findings suggested that pregnancy women lacking sufficient sunlight exposure still need vitamin D supplement to overcome the potential vitamin D deficiency status.

Abstract
Stratification in randomization and analysis are widely employed to balance treatment groups in clinical trials. However, the potential power loss due to under-stratification or over-stratification has not been thoroughly evaluated in the typical setting of confirmatory clinical trials. In cases where there are too many strata and some have small sample sizes or a small number of events, it is common practice to combine these small strata during analysis. However, there is a lack of guidance on how those small strata should be combined. This paper presents extensive simulation studies to evaluate the impact of under-stratification or over-stratification on the power of survival analysis and the estimate of hazard ratio using stratified log-rank test and Cox PH model, respectively. The difference in power between stratified and unstratified log-rank tests is also investigated under different scenarios. Our results suggest that failing to consider prognostic stratification factors with strong effects, and/or accounting for non-prognostic factors such as noise and predictive factors, may reduce the power of the stratified log-rank test. Additionally, methods of combining small strata are explored and compared.

Abstract
Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), an environmentally friendly strong oxidant and energy carrier, has attracted widespread attention in photocatalysis. Artificial photosynthesis of H2O2 using water and oxygen as raw materials, solar energy as an energy source, and semiconductor materials as catalysts is considered a promising technology. In the past few decades, encouraging progress has been made in the photocatalytic production of H2O2. Therefore, we summarize the research achievements in this field in recent years. This review first briefly introduces the reaction pathway, detection techniques and evaluation metrics. Then, the recent advances in photocatalysts are highlighted. Furthermore, the existing challenges and possible solutions in this field are presented. At last, we look forward to the future development direction of this field. This review provides valuable insights and guidance for efficient photocatalytic H2O2 production.

Abstract
The orientation-dependent mechanical behaviors of metallic alloys are governed by deformation mechanisms, but the underlying physics remain to be explored. In this work, the mechanical responses along different orientations and behind the mechanisms of BCC-Fe are investigated by performing molecular dynamic simulations. It is found that the mechanical properties of BCC-Fe exhibit apparent anisotropic characteristics. The <100>-oriented BCC-Fe presents a Young's modulus of E = 147.56 GPa, a strength of σy = 10.15 GPa, and a plastic strain of εy = 0.084 at the yield point, whereas the <111> orientation presents E = 244.84 GPa, σy = 27.57 GPa, and εy = 0.21. Based on classical dislocation theory, the reasons for such orientation-dependent mechanical behaviors are analyzed from the perspective of thermo-kinetic synergy upon deformation. It turns out that the anisotropic mechanical responses of BCC-Fe are associated with the magnitude of the thermodynamic driving force (ΔG) and kinetic energy barrier (Q) for dislocation motion, which dominate the corresponding deformation mechanism. Compared with the low ΔG (6.395 GPa) and high Q (11.95 KJ/mol) of the <100>-oriented BCC-Fe dominated by deformation twinning, the <111> orientation governed by dislocation slip presents a high ΔG (17.37 GPa) and low Q (6.45 KJ/mol). Accordingly, the orientation-dependent deformation behaviors of BCC-Fe are derived from the thermo-kinetic synergy for dislocation motion.

Abstract
Forkhead box E1 (FOXE1), also known as thyroid transcription factor 2 (TTF-2), belongs to a large family of forkhead transcription factors. It plays important roles in embryogenesis, cell growth, and differentiation. Cancer-specific FOXE1 hypermethylation events have been identified in several cancers. However, the expression and function of FOXE1 in the tumorigenesis of colorectal cancer remain still unknown. In this study, we examined FOXE1 expression and methylation in normal colon mucosa, colorectal cancer (CRC) cell lines, and primary tumors by immunohistochemistry, semi-quantitative RT-PCR, methylation-specific PCR, and bisulfite genomic sequencing. We found that FOXE1 was frequently methylated and silenced in CRC cell lines and was downregulated in CRC tissues compared with paired adjacent non-tumor tissues. Meanwhile, low FOXE1 expression was significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis and advanced TNM stages, indicating its potential as a tumor marker. Subsequently, we established colon cancer cell lines with stable FOXE1 expression to observe the biological effect on colorectal cancer, including cell growth, migration, actin cytoskeleton, and growth of human colorectal xenografts in nude mice. Ectopic expression of FOXE1 could suppress tumor cell growth and migration and affect the organization of the actin cytoskeleton together with suppressing tumorigenicity in vivo. FOXE1 methylation was frequently seen in association with a complete absence of or downregulated gene expression, and FOXE1 plays a suppressive role in the development and progression of colorectal cancer.

Abstract
In this study, a novel Fe3O4-based biochar coupled surface-imprinted polymer was constructed via simple hydrothermal route for salicylic acid recognition and degradation in advanced oxidation processes. The material exhibited excellent adsorption capability, up to 118.23 mg g-1, and efficient degradation performance, 87.44% removal rate within 240 min, based on integrating the advantages of both huge specific surface area as well as abundant functional groups from biochars and specific recognition sites from imprinted cavities. Moreover, high selectivity coefficient (11.67) showed stable recognition in single and binary systems. SO4•- and •OH were confirmed as reactive oxygen species in catalytic reaction according to quenching experiments and EPR analysis. The degradation mechanism and pathway were unraveled by DFT calculations and LC-MS. Furthermore, the results of toxicity evaluation, stability and reusability demonstrated application potential in the field of water environment restoration. This study confirmed that molecular imprinting provided a promising solution to targeted removal of emerging environmental pollutants by degrading after the enrichment of pollutants to the composites surface.

Automatic segmentation of fat metaplasia on sacroiliac joint MRI using deep learning. Insights Imaging 2024; 15:93. Abstract
OBJECTIVE To develop a deep learning (DL) model for segmenting fat metaplasia (FM) on sacroiliac joint (SIJ) MRI and further develop a DL model for classifying axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) and non-axSpA. MATERIALS AND METHODS This study retrospectively collected 706 patients with FM who underwent SIJ MRI from center 1 (462 axSpA and 186 non-axSpA) and center 2 (37 axSpA and 21 non-axSpA). Patients from center 1 were divided into the training, validation, and internal test sets (n = 455, 64, and 129). Patients from center 2 were used as the external test set. We developed a UNet-based model to segment FM. Based on segmentation results, a classification model was built to distinguish axSpA and non-axSpA. Dice Similarity Coefficients (DSC) and area under the curve (AUC) were used for model evaluation. Radiologists' performance without and with model assistance was compared to assess the clinical utility of the models. RESULTS Our segmentation model achieved satisfactory DSC of 81.86% ± 1.55% and 85.44% ± 6.09% on the internal cross-validation and external test sets. The classification model yielded AUCs of 0.876 (95% CI: 0.811-0.942) and 0.799 (95% CI: 0.696-0.902) on the internal and external test sets, respectively. With model assistance, segmentation performance was improved for the radiological resident (DSC, 75.70% vs. 82.87%, p < 0.05) and expert radiologist (DSC, 85.03% vs. 85.74%, p > 0.05). CONCLUSIONS DL is a novel method for automatic and accurate segmentation of FM on SIJ MRI and can effectively increase radiologist's performance, which might assist in improving diagnosis and progression of axSpA. CRITICAL RELEVANCE STATEMENT DL models allowed automatic and accurate segmentation of FM on sacroiliac joint MRI, which might facilitate quantitative analysis of FM and have the potential to improve diagnosis and prognosis of axSpA. KEY POINTS • Deep learning was used for automatic segmentation of fat metaplasia on MRI. • UNet-based models achieved automatic and accurate segmentation of fat metaplasia. • Automatic segmentation facilitates quantitative analysis of fat metaplasia to improve diagnosis and prognosis of axial spondyloarthritis.

Abstract
Large language models (LLMs) have the potential to transform our lives and work through the content they generate, known as AI-Generated Content (AIGC). To harness this transformation, we need to understand the limitations of LLMs. Here, we investigate the bias of AIGC produced by seven representative LLMs, including ChatGPT and LLaMA. We collect news articles from The New York Times and Reuters, both known for their dedication to provide unbiased news. We then apply each examined LLM to generate news content with headlines of these news articles as prompts, and evaluate the gender and racial biases of the AIGC produced by the LLM by comparing the AIGC and the original news articles. We further analyze the gender bias of each LLM under biased prompts by adding gender-biased messages to prompts constructed from these news headlines. Our study reveals that the AIGC produced by each examined LLM demonstrates substantial gender and racial biases. Moreover, the AIGC generated by each LLM exhibits notable discrimination against females and individuals of the Black race. Among the LLMs, the AIGC generated by ChatGPT demonstrates the lowest level of bias, and ChatGPT is the sole model capable of declining content generation when provided with biased prompts.

Abstract
Bladder cancer (BC) is one of the most common cancers worldwide. Although the treatment and survival rate of BC are being improved, the risk factors and the underlying mechanisms causing BC are incompletely understood. Squalene monooxygenase (SQLE) has been associated with the occurrence and development of multiple cancers but whether it contributes to BC development is unclear. In this study, we performed bioinformatics analysis on paired BC and adjacent non-cancerous tissues and found that SQLE expression is significantly upregulated in BC samples. Knockdown of SQLE impairs viability, induces apoptosis, and inhibits the migration and invasion of BC cells. RNA-seq data reveals that SQLE deficiency leads to dysregulated expression of genes regulating proliferation, migration, and apoptosis. Mass spectrometry-directed interactome screening identifies proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) as an SQLE-interacting protein and overexpression of PCNA partially rescues the impaired viability, migration, and invasion of BC cells caused by SQLE knockdown. In addition, we performed xenograft assays and confirmed that SQLE deficiency inhibits BC growth in vivo. In conclusion, these data suggest that SQLE promotes BC development and SQLE inhibition may be therapeutically useful in BC treatment.

Abstract
Titanium has a low density and high corrosion resistance. In order to achieve the goal of a lightweight material, and to extend the normal working hour of proton-exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs), ultra-thin titanium plates were chosen to manufacture the key components-bipolar plates (BPs). For the purpose of overcoming the challenges of manufacturing with a large depth to width ratio, a multi-stage formation process was established with characteristics such as high efficiency and a lower price. In this study, the process parameters were examined through an experimental approach. The outcomes show that the channel formed by multistage forming is deeper than that formed by single-stage forming under the same displacement conditions. To achieve greater flow depths, it is recommended to increase the displacements as much as possible during both the first- and second-stage forming processes. The implementation of three-stage forming can effectively reduce the maximum thinning rates within flow channels while improving the overall deformation uniformity. This method deviates from traditional one-stage loading processes by adopting multi-stage loading instead. By employing appropriate mold designs, material deformation and flow can be enhanced throughout gradual loading processes, thereby preventing strain concentration and enhancing the ultimate formation height accuracy within micro-flow channels. Consequently, the proposed three-stage forming process proves highly appropriate for the mass production of BPs utilizing titanium plates.

Abstract
The development of a high-rate SiO lithium-ion battery anode is seriously limited by its low intrinsic conductivity, sluggish interfacial charge transfer (ICT), and unstable dynamic interface. To tackle the above issues, interfacial encapsulation engineering for effectively regulating the interfacial reaction and thus realizing a stable solid electrolyte interphase is significantly important. Hybrid coating, which aims to enhance the coupled e-/Li+ transport via the employment of dual layers, has emerged as a promising strategy. Herein, we construct a hybrid MXene-graphene oxide (GO) coating layer on the SiO microparticles. In the design, Ti3C2Tx MXene acts as a "bridge", which forms a close covalent connection with SiO and GO through Ti-O-Si and Ti-O-C bonds, respectively, thus greatly reducing the ICT resistance. Moreover, the Ti3C2Tx with rich surface groups (e.g., -OH, -F) and GO outer layers with an intertwined porous framework synergistically enable the pseudocapacitance dominated behavior, which is beneficial for fast lithium-ion storage. Accordingly, the as-made Si@MXene@GO anode exhibits considerably reinforced lithium-ion storage performance in terms of superior rate performance (1175.9 mA h g-1 at 5 A g-1) and long cycling stability (1087.6 mA h g-1 capacity retained after 1000 cycles at 2.0 A g-1). In-depth interfacial chemical composition analysis further reveals that an inorganically rich interphase with a gradient distribution of LiF and Li2O formed at the electrolyte/anode interface ensures mechanical stability during repeated cycles. This work paves a feasible way for maximizing the potential of SiO anodes toward fast-charging lithium-ion batteries.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The benefit of combination neoadjuvant and adjuvant chemotherapy and immune checkpoint inhibition in patients with locally advanced, resectable gastric or gastro-oesophageal adenocarcinoma is unknown. We assess the antitumor activity of neoadjuvant and adjuvant pembrolizumab plus chemotherapy in patients with locally advanced resectable gastric or gastro-oesophageal adenocarcinoma. METHODS The KEYNOTE-585 study is a multicentre, randomised, placebo-controlled, double-blind, phase 3 study done at 143 medical centres in 24 countries. Eligible patients were aged 18 years or older with untreated, locally advanced, resectable gastric or gastro-oesophageal adenocarcinoma, and an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status 0-1. Patients were randomly assigned (1:1) by an interactive voice response system and integrated web response system to neoadjuvant pembrolizumab 200 mg intravenously or placebo (saline) plus cisplatin-based doublet chemotherapy (main cohort) every 3 weeks for 3 cycles, followed by surgery, adjuvant pembrolizumab or placebo plus chemotherapy for 3 cycles, then adjuvant pembrolizumab or placebo for 11 cycles. A small cohort was also randomly assigned (1:1) to pembrolizumab or placebo plus fluorouracil, docetaxel, and oxaliplatin (FLOT)-based chemotherapy (FLOT cohort) every 2 weeks for four cycles, followed by surgery, adjuvant pembrolizumab, or placebo plus FLOT for four cycles, then adjuvant pembrolizumab or placebo for 11 cycles. Patients were stratified by geographic region, tumour stage, and chemotherapy backbone. Primary endpoints were pathological complete response (reviewed centrally), event-free survival (reviewed by the investigator), and overall survival in the intention-to-treat population, and safety assessed in all patients who received at least one dose of study treatment. The study is registered at ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT03221426, and is closed to accrual. FINDINGS Between Oct 9, 2017, and Jan 25, 2021, of 1254 patients screened, 804 were randomly assigned to the main cohort, of whom 402 were assigned to the pembrolizumab plus cisplatin-based chemotherapy group and 402 to the placebo plus cisplatin-based chemotherapy group, and 203 to the FLOT cohort, of whom 100 were assigned to the pembrolizumab plus FLOT group and 103 to placebo plus FLOT group. In the main cohort of 804 participants, 575 (72%) were male and 229 (28%) were female. In the main cohort, after median follow-up of 47·7 months (IQR 38·0-54·8), pembrolizumab was superior to placebo for pathological complete response (52 [12·9%; 95% CI 9·8-16·6] of 402 vs eight [2·0%; 0·9-3·9] of 402; difference 10·9%, 95% CI 7·5 to 14·8; p<0·00001). Median event-free survival was longer with pembrolizumab versus placebo (44·4 months, 95% CI 33·0 to not reached vs 25·3 months, 20·6 to 33·9; hazard ratio [HR] 0·81, 95% CI 0·67 to 0·99; p=0·0198) but did not meet the threshold for statistical significance (p=0·0178). Median overall survival was 60·7 months (95% CI 51·5 to not reached) in the pembrolizumab group versus 58·0 months (41·5 to not reached) in the placebo group (HR 0·90, 95% CI 0·73 to 1·12; p=0·174). Grade 3 or worse adverse events of any cause occurred in 312 (78%) of 399 patients in the pembrolizumab group and 297 (74%) of 400 patients in the placebo group; the most common were nausea (240 [60%] vs 247 [62%]), anaemia (168 [42%] vs 158 [40%]), and decreased appetite (163 [41%] vs 172 [43%]). Treatment-related serious adverse events were reported in 102 (26%) and 97 (24%) patients. Treatment-related adverse events that led to death occurred in four (1%) patients in the pembrolizumab group (interstitial ischaemia, pneumonia, decreased appetite, and acute kidney injury [n=1 each]) and two (<1%) patients in the placebo group (neutropenic sepsis and neutropenic colitis [n=1 each]). INTERPRETATION Although neoadjuvant and adjuvant pembrolizumab versus placebo improved the pathological complete response, it did not translate to significant improvement in event-free survival in patients with untreated, locally advanced resectable gastric or gastro-oesophageal cancer. Abstract
Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is a multifunctional gaseous signaling molecule that plays a vital role in several biological processes. In the present study, a BODIPY-based fluorescent probe called 8-[4-((1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane)methyl)phenyl]-4,4-difluoro-1,3,5,7-tetramethyl-4-bora-3a, 4a-diaza-s-indacene (BA-Cyclen)-Cu was designed and synthesized; this probe is a Cu(Ⅱ) complex that uses Cu(Ⅱ) decomplexation to achieve the sensitive and rapid detection of aqueous H2S via the "turn-on" mode. We observed that BA-Cyclen-Cu exhibited good membrane permeability, low toxicity, and lysosome-targeting ability, facilitating H2S detection in living cells. Furthermore, we demonstrated the potential biological applications of the probe by measuring exogenous H2S originating from Na2S and GYY4137, a slow-release donor, and endogenous H2S generated via the catalysis of cystathionine-β-synthase in both normal (H9c2) and cancerous (U87) cells. Moreover, BA-Cyclen-Cu was successfully used to detect exogenous H2S by the external standard method in fetal bovine serum, the serum of a healthy person, and the serum of a patient with liver cancer.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Birth weight is a good predictor of fetal intrauterine growth and long-term health. Although several studies have evaluated the relationship between metabolites and birth weight, no prior study has comprehensively investigated the metabolomic and lipidomic and further validated and quantified meaningful metabolites. METHODS Firstly, a pseudotargeted metabolomics approach was applied to detect 2418 metabolites in 504 cord blood samples in the discovery set enrolled from the Wuhan Healthy Baby Cohort (HBC), China. Metabolome-wide association scan (MWAS) analysis and pathway enrichment were applied to discover metabolites and metabolic pathways that were significantly associated with birth weight for gestational age (BWGA) z-score. Logistic regression models were used to analyze the association of metabolites in the most significantly associated pathways with small for gestational age (SGA) and low birth weight (LBW). Subsequently, 350 cord blood samples in a validation cohort were subjected to targeted analysis to validate the metabolites screened from the discovery cohort. RESULTS In the discovery set, 513 metabolites were significantly associated with BWGA z-score (PFDR <0.05), of which 298 KEGG-annotated metabolites were included in the pathway analysis. The primary bile acid biosynthesis pathway was the most relevant metabolic pathway associated with BWGA z-score in our study. Elevated cord plasma primary bile acids were associated with lower BWGA z-score and higher odds of SGA or LBW in the discovery and validation cohorts. In the validation set, a 2-fold increase in taurochenodeoxycholic acid (TCDCA) and taurocholic acid (TCA) was associated with 0.10 (95% CI: 0.00, 0.20) and 0.18 (95 %CI: 0.04, 0.31) decrease in BWGA z-score, respectively, after adjusting for covariates. In addition, a 2-fold increase in cord plasma TCDCA and TCA was associated with an adjusted odds ratio of 1.52 (1.00, 2.30) and 1.77 (1.05, 2.98) for SGA, respectively. The adjusted ORs for a 2-fold increase in TCDCA and TCA concentrations were 2.39 (95% CI 1.00, 5.71) and 3.21 (0.96, 10.74) for LBW, respectively. CONCLUSIONS The results indicate a significant association between primary bile acids and lower BWGA z-score, as well as higher risk of SGA and LBW. Abstract
Loop closure detection is an important module for simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM). Correct detection of loops can reduce the cumulative drift in positioning. Because traditional detection methods rely on handicraft features, false positive detections can occur when the environment changes, resulting in incorrect estimates and an inability to obtain accurate maps. In this research paper, a loop closure detection method based on a variational autoencoder (VAE) is proposed. It is intended to be used as a feature extractor to extract image features through neural networks to replace the handicraft features used in traditional methods. This method extracts a low-dimensional vector as the representation of the image. At the same time, the attention mechanism is added to the network and constraints are added to improve the loss function for better image representation. In the back-end feature matching process, geometric checking is used to filter out the wrong matching for the false positive problem. Finally, through numerical experiments, the proposed method is demonstrated to have a better precision-recall curve than the traditional method of the bag-of-words model and other deep learning methods and is highly robust to environmental changes. In addition, experiments on datasets from three different scenarios also demonstrate that the method can be applied in real-world scenarios and that it has a good performance.

Abstract
Efficient artificial photosynthesis of disulfide bonds holds promises to facilitate reverse decoding of genetic codes and deciphering the secrets of protein multilevel folding, as well as the development of life science and advanced functional materials. However, the incumbent synthesis strategies encounter separation challenges arising from leaving groups in the ─S─S─ coupling reaction. In this study, according to the reaction mechanism of free-radical-triggered ─S─S─ coupling, light-driven heterojunction functional photocatalysts are tailored and constructed, enabling them to efficiently generate free radicals and trigger the coupling reaction. Specifically, perovskites and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are screened out as target materials due to their superior light-harvesting and photoelectronic properties, as well as flexible and tunable band structure. The in situ assembled Z-scheme heterojunction MAPB-M-COF (MAPbBr3 = MAPB, MA+ = CH3 NH2 + ) demonstrates a perfect trade-off between quantum efficiency and redox chemical potential via band engineering management. The MAPB-M-COF achieves a 100% ─S─S─ coupling yield with a record photoquantum efficiency of 11.50% and outstanding cycling stability, rivaling all the incumbent similar reaction systems. It highlights the effectiveness and superiority of application-oriented band engineering management in designing efficient multifunctional photocatalysts. This study demonstrates a concept-to-proof research methodology for the development of various integrated heterojunction semiconductors for light-driven chemical reaction and energy conversion.

Abstract
AIM To explore the value of 2-[18F]-fluoro-2-deoxy-d-glucose (FDG) positron-emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT)-based radiomics model for predicting the degree of pathological differentiation in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). MATERIALS AND METHODS Clinical characteristics of 182 NSCLC patients from four centres were collected, and radiomics features were extracted from 18F-FDG PET/CT images. Three logistic regression prediction models were established: clinical model; radiomics model; and nomogram combining radiomics signatures and clinical features. The predictive ability of the models was assessed using receiver operating characteristics curve analysis. RESULTS Patients from centre 1 were assigned randomly to the training and internal validation cohorts (7:3 ratio); patients from centres 2-4 served as the external validation cohort. The area under the curve (AUC) values for the clinical model in the training, internal validation, and external validation cohort were 0.74 (95% confidence interval [CI] = 0.64-0.84), 0.64 (95% CI = 0.46-0.81), and 0.74 (95% CI = 0.60-0.88), respectively. In the training (AUC: 0.84 [95% CI = 0.77-0.92]), internal validation (AUC: 0.81 [95% CI = 0.67-0.95]), and external validation cohorts (AUC: 0.74 [95% CI = 0.58-0.89]), the radiomics model showed good predictive ability for differentiation. Compared to the clinical and radiomics models, the nomogram has relatively better diagnostic performance, and the AUC values for nomogram in the training, internal validation, and external validation cohort were 0.86 (95% CI = 0.78-0.93), 0.83 (95% CI = 0.70-0.96), and 0.77 (95% CI = 0.62-0.92), respectively. CONCLUSIONS The 18F-FDG PET/CT-based radiomics model showed good ability for predicting the degree of differentiation of NSCLC. The nomogram combining the radiomics signature and clinical features has relatively better diagnostic performance.

Abstract
Creating customizable metallic nanostructures in a simple and controllable manner has been a long-standing goal in nanoscience. In this study, we use DNA origami as a letterpress printing plate and gold nanoparticles as ink to produce predesigned gold nanostructures. The letterpress plate is reusable, enabling the repetitive production of predesigned gold nanostructures. Furthermore, by modifying the DNA origami letterpress plate on magnetic beads, we can simplify the printing processes. We have successfully printed gold nanoparticle dimers, trimers, straight and quadrilateral tetramers, and other nanostructures. Our approach improves the flexibility and stability of metallic nanostructures, simplifying both their design and their operation. It promises universal applicability in the fabrication of metamaterials, biosensors, and surface plasma nanooptics.

Abstract
Myc is a pivotal protooncogenic transcription factor that contributes to the development of almost all Burkitt's lymphomas and about one-third of diffuse large B-cell lymphomas. How B-cells sustain their uncontrolled proliferation due to high Myc is not yet well defined. Here, we found that Myc trans-represses the expression of murine LAPTM5, a gene coding a lysosome-associated protein, by binding to two E-boxes in the LAPTM5 promoter. While the product of intact mRNA (CDS+3'UTR) of LAPTM5 failed to suppress the growth of B-lymphomas, either the protein coded by coding sequence (CDS) itself or the non-coding 3'-untranslated region (3'UTR) mRNA was able to inhibit the growth of B-lymphomas. Moreover, Myc trans-activated miR-17-3p, which promoted tumor growth. Strikingly, LAPTM5 3'UTR contains 11 miR-17-3p-binding sites through which the LAPTM5 protein synthesis was inhibited. The functional interplay between low LAPTM5 mRNA and high miR-17-3p due to high Myc in B-lymphomas leads to further dampening of tumor-suppressive LAPTM5 protein, which promotes tumor progression. Our results indicate that Myc inhibits LAPTM5 expression in B-lymphoma cells by transcriptional and post-transcriptional modifications.

Abstract
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has the characteristics of being simple and non-invasive, and with on-demand light control. However, most photosensitizers exhibit strong hydrophobicity, low quantum yields in water and low tumor selectivity. In this study, carbon network-hosted porphyrins (CPs) with high biocompatibility and efficient singlet oxygen (1O2) generation were developed to reduce the biotoxicity of photosensitizers and avoid quenching caused by hydrophobic aggregation for enhanced PDT. The CPs were prepared by a simple solid-phase synthesis method using porphyrin, green non-toxic citric acid and urea as the raw materials. The CPs exhibited excellent water solubility and high biocompatibility. Even when the concentration reached 1.5 mg mL-1, cells still had good biological activity. By separately fixing the porphyrins in the carbon network, the CPs avoided aggregation-induced inactivation and had high generation efficiency of 1O2. Furthermore, in order to improve the PDT effect, the CPs were modified with the upper nuclear targeting peptide TAT (T-CPs), which was used to target the nucleus and generate 1O2in situ to directly destroy genetic material. The proposed strategy provides a simple and green path to prepare nanophotosensitizers with high biocompatibility and efficient 1O2 generation for PDT.

Abstract
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of pulsatile intravenous insulin therapy (PIVIT) combined with critical value early warning nursing on diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). Methods Ninety-six DKA patients treated in our hospital between May 2021 and February 2023 were selected as the research subjects, of which 53 cases received PIVIT (research group) and the other 43 cases received insulin intravenous infusion therapy (control group). The blood glucose (BG), condition, pH control time and the incidence of adverse reactions were analyzed in the two groups. Changes in pre- and post-treatment BG, cardiac function, β-Hydroxybutyric acid (β-HBA), lactate (Lac), and blood ketone body (BKB) were determined before and after treatment. In addition, patients' psychological status was assessed using the Self-rating Depression/Anxiety Scale (SDS/SAS) and their satisfaction with the nursing services was investigated. Results The research group took less time to control BG, condition, and pH value than control group, with lower BG, β-HBA, Lac, and BKB levels and better cardiac function after treatment (P < .05). No notable differences were identified between groups in terms of adverse reactions, SAS and SDS scores, and nursing satisfaction (P > .05). Conclusions PIVIT combined with critical value early warning nursing can alleviate the acidosis of DKA patients more quickly and effectively.

Abstract
Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety of a novel customized topography-guided transepithelial corneal collagen cross-linking (TG-CXL) procedure by sequential ultraviolet A irradiation in different diameters and conventional transepithelial corneal collagen cross-linking (TE-CXL) in adult patients with progressive keratoconus. Methods: A prospective cohort study was conducted. Adult patients diagnosed with progressive keratoconus in the Affiliated Xiamen Eye Center of Xiamen University were continuously recruited and randomly assigned to receive the TG-CXL or TE-CXL procedure from March 2020 to March 2021. Patients in the TE-CXL group were irradiated in the central 9-mm zone of the cornea (total energy, 7.2 J/cm2; irradiance, 45 mW/cm2), while patients in the TG-CXL group were first irradiated with the protocol used in the TE-CXL group, and further irradiated in the central 6-mm zone (total energy, 3.6 J/cm2; irradiance, 9 mW/cm2). The subjective symptom of pain and corneal fluorescein sodium staining were scored within postoperative 3 days. Slit lamp examination, measurements of uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA) and best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), corneal topography, anterior segment optical coherence tomography, in vivo corneal confocal microscopy, corneal endothelial cell count, and non-contact tonometry were performed before surgery and at 3, 6, and 12 months after surgery. Results: A total of 66 patients were enrolled (mean age, 23.0±3.3 years old), with 33 patients (33 eyes) in each group. No statistically significant differences were found in age, gender, and maximum keratometry (Kmax) between the two groups (P>0.05). On day 1 after surgery, the average pain score of the TG-CXL group (2.21±0.45) was significantly higher than that of the TE-CXL group (1.32±0.33) (P<0.05). The pain was rapidly alleviated in both groups on days 2 and 3. On days 1 and 2, the corneal fluorescein sodium staining scores in the TG-CXL group (4.15±0.83 and 2.21±0.60, respectively) were significantly higher than those in the TE-CXL group (1.76±0.56 and 0.85±0.51, respectively, P<0.001), while there was no significant difference between the two groups at day3 (P=0.184). The UCVA and BCVA of the TG-CXL group at 3, 6, and 12 months after surgery were significantly improved when compared with the baseline. At 3, 6, and 12 months, the BCVA (LogMAR) of the TG-CXL group (0.21±0.15, 0.22±0.16, and 0.22±0.16, respectively) were significantly improved when compared with those of the TE-CXL group(0.32±0.15, 0.34±0.15, and 0.36±0.16, respectively, P<0.01). However, there was no significant difference in UCVA between groups at any time point after surgery (P>0.05). The spherical and cylindrical power values of the TG-CXL group were improved when compared with the baseline (P<0.05). However, no significant difference in spherical power values was found between the two groups at any time point after surgery (P>0.05). Meanwhile, there were significant differences in cylindrical power values between the two groups at 6 and 12 months after surgery (P<0.05). The Kmax in the TG-CXL group was improved at all of the time points after surgery when compared with the baseline (P<0.001), while no significant difference in Kmax was found at any time point after surgery in the TE-CXL group when compared with the baseline (P>0.05). At 6 and 12 months after surgery, the Kmax values in the TG-CXL group were significantly lower than the TE-CXL group (P<0.05). No significant differences were found in flat keratomety, steep keratometry, the minimal thickness of the cornea, endothelial cell density, and intraocular pressure between the two groups at any time point after surgery (P>0.05). Within one month after surgery, optical coherence tomography revealed the increased density in the anterior stroma in both groups. In most patients in the TG-CXL group, a demarcation line was visible in the central and para-central corneal stroma, representing a clear and continuous, high-signal arc-shaped linear structure, which was deeper in the central cornea than the para-central cornea. In contrast, a demarcation line, fuzzy and focally discontinuous, was visible only in a few patients in the TE-CXL group, with an almost uniform depth in the central and the para-central cornea. Confocal microscopy demonstrated an apparent mesh-like cross-linked collagen structure in the superficial and intermediate corneal stroma at all time points after surgery in the TG-CXL group, with thickening stromal collagen fibers and an increased number of interconnections. In contrast, the mesh-like structure and number of interconnections in the superficial corneal stroma were significantly reduced at 12 months after surgery in the TE-CXL group, with no cross-linking structure in the intermediate corneal stroma at any time point after surgery. No serious complications such as corneal infection, sterile corneal ulcer, and persistent epithelial defect were observed in both groups during the follow-up of 12 months. Conclusions: The TG-CXL procedure by sequential irradiation in two different diameters with ultraviolet A light was effective and safe in the management of progressive keratoconus in adults, achieving significant refractive improvement. This might be a good technical alternative for refractive corneal cross-linking surgery.

Abstract
The neutron capture cross section of [Formula: see text]Ta is relevant to s-process of nuclear astrophysics, extraterrestrial samples analysis in planetary geology and new generation nuclear energy system design. The [Formula: see text]Ta([Formula: see text]) cross section had been measured between 1 eV and 800 keV at the back-streaming white neutron facility (Back-n) of China spallation neutron source(CSNS) using the time-of-flight (TOF) technique and [Formula: see text] liquid scintillator detectors. The experimental results are compared with the data of several evaluated libraries and previous experiments in the resolved and unresolved resonance region. Resonance parameters are extracted using the R-Matrix code SAMMY in the 1-700 eV region. The astrophysical Maxwell average cross section(MACS) from kT = 5 to 100 keV is calculated over a sufficiently wide range of neutron energies. For the characteristic thermal energy of an astrophysical site, at kT = 30keV the MACS value of [Formula: see text]Ta is 834 ± 75 mb, which shows an obvious discrepancy with the Karlsruhe Astrophysical Database of Nucleosynthesis in Stars (KADoNiS) recommended value 766 ± 15 mb. The new measurements strongly constrain the MACS of [Formula: see text]Ta([Formula: see text]) reaction in the stellar s-process temperatures.

The proposed antenna has a planar spiral geometry with a defective ground plane exhibiting a radiation efficiency of 3.3% in the lossy medium with more than 20 dB of improved forward transmission, while the coupling can be further enhanced by adjusting the thickness of the antenna insulation and the antenna size according to the application area. The implanted antenna demonstrates a measured bandwidth of 28 MHz, covering beyond the MICS band needs. The proposed circuit model of the antenna describes the different behaviors of the implanted antenna over a wide bandwidth. The antenna interaction within human tissues and the improved behavior of the electrically small antenna are explained in terms of radiation resistance, inductance, and capacitance that are obtained from the circuit model. The results are demonstrated using electromagnetic computations and are validated by the measurement using liquid phantom and animal experiments.

Abstract
Oral dihydroxyphenylalanine (Dopa) administration to replenish neuronal dopamine remains the most effective treatment for Parkinson's disease (PD). However, unlike the continuous and steady dopamine signaling in normal neurons, oral Dopa induces dramatic fluctuations in plasma Dopa levels, leading to Dopa-induced dyskinesia. Herein, we report a functional nucleic acid-based responsive artificial enzyme (FNA-Fe3O4) for in situ continuous Dopa production. FNA-Fe3O4 can cross the blood-brain barrier and target diseased neurons relying on transferrin receptor aptamer. Then, FNA-Fe3O4 responds to overexpressed α-synuclein mRNA in diseased neurons for antisense oligonucleotide treatment and fluorescence imaging, while converting to tyrosine aptamer-based artificial enzyme (Apt-Fe3O4) that mimics tyrosine hydroxylase for in situ continuous Dopa production. In vivo FNA-Fe3O4 treatment results in recovery of Dopa and dopamine levels and decrease of pathological overexpressed α-synuclein in PD mice model, thus ameliorating motor symptoms and memory deficits. The presented functional nucleic acid-based responsive artificial enzyme strategy provides a more neuron friendly approach for the diagnosis and treatment of PD.

Abstract
Optical imaging in the second near-infrared (NIR-II, 900-1700 nm) window has been extensively investigated for bioimaging. However, a strong autofluorescence background from real-time excitation light significantly reduces the images' quality of NIR-II fluorescence (FL) imaging. To resolve this issue, a NIR-II self-luminous small molecule (CLPD) based on bioluminescence (BL) resonance energy transfer (BRET) mechanism is first developed. The reactive oxygen species (ROS) can trigger NIR-II BL and reduce the NIR-II FL signals of the CLPD simultaneously, enabling ROS-correlated ratiometric BL/FL imaging. CLPD is used for high-contrast NIR-II BL imaging of osteoarthritis as well as guiding the treatment process by ratiometric BL/FL imaging. Moreover, CLPD is applied for NIR-II BL imaging of tumor triggered by the generated ROS during PDT. A correlation between the ratiometric NIR-II BL/FL signal and tumor size is constructed, providing a trustworthy tool for early assessment of PDT effect. Overall, this study presents a novel NIR-II self-luminous small molecular probe for in vivo imaging and provides a strategy for design a self-evaluation system of therapeutic effect.

Abstract
Hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks (HOFs) have emerged as a new class of crystalline porous materials, and their application in membrane technology needs to be explored. Herein, for the first time, we demonstrated the utilization of HOF-based mixed-matrix membrane for CO2 separation. HOF-21, a unique metallo-hydrogen-bonded organic framework material, was designed and processed into nanofillers via amine modulator, uniformly dispersing with Pebax polymer. Featured with the mix-bonded framework, HOF-21 possessed moderate pore size of 0.35 nm and displayed excellent stability under humid feed gas. The chemical functions of multiple binding sites and continuous hydrogen-bonded network jointly facilitated the mass transport of CO2. The resulting HOF-21 mixed-matrix membrane exhibited a permeability above 750 Barrer, a selectivity of ~ 40 for CO2/CH4 and ~ 60 for CO2/N2, surpassing the 2008 Robeson upper bound. This work enlarges the family of mixed-matrix membranes and lays the foundation for HOF membrane development.

Abstract
Epidermolysis bullosa pruriginosa (EBP) is a rare variant of dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa caused by COL7A1 gene mutation. Intense pruritus and nodular prurigo-like lesions are the main features of the disease. To date, the treatment strategies for this condition are not well established. Recent studies have indicated that type 2 inflammation plays a role in the pathophysiology of EBP, suggesting Th2 cytokines could be potential therapeutic targets. In this prospective case series study, we reported three patients with EBP, diagnosed by clinical manifestations, histopathological evaluations, and genetic sequencing, two of whom were treated with dupilumab for 20 weeks. Results showed that the clinical symptoms, pruritus, and quality of life of the patients were significantly improved, as measured by the Epidermolysis Bullosa Disease Activity and Scarring Index, the Visual Analog Scale, and the Children's Dermatology Life Quality Index. Serum immunoglobulin E levels also fell gradually over the 20-week treatment period. Immunotyping of Th1/2/17 cell subsets in peripheral blood by flow cytometry revealed a higher Th2 but parallel Th1 and Th17 cell subsets in patients compared to healthy controls, and a significant decrease in Th2 and an increase in Th17 cells after dupilumab administration. Of note, after 20 weeks of dupilumab treatment, the expression of type VII collagen in the basement membrane of the skin lesion of the patients significantly increased, which was evidenced by immunofluorescence analysis. No treatment-related adverse events were documented. Taken together, targeting type 2 inflammation with dupilumab may be an effective and safe treatment option for EBP.

Abstract
Astrophysical reactions involving radioactive isotopes (RI) often play an important role in high-temperature stellar environments. The experimental studies on the reaction rates for those are still limited mainly due to the technical difficulties in producing high-quality RI beams. A direct measurement of those reactions would be still challenging in many cases, however, we can make a reliable evaluation of the reaction rates by an indirect method or by studying the resonance prorerties. Here we ntroduce recent examples of experimental studies on such RI-involving astrophysical reactions, performed at Center for Nuclear Study, the University of Tokyo, using the low-energy RI beam separator CRIB. One is for the neutron-induced destruction reactions of 7Be in the Big-Bang nucleosynthesis, and the other is the study on the 22Mg(α, p) reaction relevant in X-ray bursts, which was performed with the resonant scattering method from the inverse reaction channel.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Ankylosing spondylitis is a chronic immune-mediated inflammatory arthritis. Interleukin-17A (IL-17A) inhibitors is recognized as a novel therapeutic target for ankylosing spondylitis. However, there is still a lack of high-quality research evidence regarding the issues. Therefore, we performed a protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the efficacy and safety of IL-17A inhibitors in patients with ankylosing spondylitis. METHODS This protocol will be conducted under the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses protocols (PRISMA-P) guidelines. Furthermore, the study has been registered on PROSPERO (CRD42022375885). The following electronic databases will be searched regardless of language and publication status: Pubmed, MEDLINE, EMBASE, China Biomedical Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, VIP Database, and Wanfang Database. Cochrane "bias risk" tool is used to assess the bias risk of the quality of the included literature. Data synthesis and statistical analysis will be performed using the RevMan 5.3 (The Nordic Cochrane Centre, The Cochrane Collaboration, Copenhagen, Denmark) software. RESULTS A synthesis of current evidence of IL-17A inhibitors for ankylosing spondylitis will be shown in this protocol. CONCLUSION This review can provide convincing evidence to help clinicians make decisions when dealing with ankylosing spondylitis.

Abstract
Background Netherton syndrome is a rare, life-threatening autosomal recessive genetic disorder with no effective treatment yet. Skin barrier dysfunction caused by SPINK5 gene mutations is a hallmark of the disease. Antigen penetration through the defective skin and nonspecific inflammation provide a pro-T helper 2 (Th2) immune microenvironment in the disease. Therefore, Th2 cytokines are considered to be candidate therapeutic targets. Objective To evaluate the clinical responses of patients with Netherton syndrome to dupilumab, an IL-4Rα antagonist, and identify changes in the Th1/2/17 pathway activity, skin barrier defect protein LEKTI expression after treatment. Methods Four children with severe Netherton syndrome (aged 2 y to 4 y and 6 m) who were treated with dupilumab from January to June 2022 were evaluated at baseline, and at 4, 8, 12, 16, and 20 weeks after the start of dupilumab administration. Treatment response was assessed using the Eczema Area and Severity Index (EASI), the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS), the Dermatology Life Quality Index (CDLQI), and the Dermatitis Family Impact-questionnaire (DFI). Blood eosinophil counts, serum IgE levels and inflammatory cytokines were measured. The immunotyping of Th1/2/17 cells was performed by flow cytometry and cytokine expressions in T cell subsets were analyzed by single-cell RNA sequencing. In addition, expression of the LEKTI in skin lesions was evaluated by immunohistochemical analysis. Results All four patients experienced clinical improvement, with significantly reduced EASI scores (by 75.0-83.9%) and NRS (by 87.5-90.0%) from baseline to 20 weeks of treatment. Improved quality of life scores were also seen for all patients, as measured by CDLQI and DFI. Serum IgE levels also fell by 75.6-86.9%. The serum Th2 cytokines IL-4, IL-5 and IL-13 were found at low level, with no significant changes during the treatment. However, Th2 cytokines expressed by T cells, especially IL-4, decreased at single-cell level after treatment (P = 0.029). The baseline percentage of Th2 cells (among total CD3+CD4+ T cells) was significantly higher in patients than that in healthy controls (HC) (P < 0.0001); this percentage fell from 8.25% ± 0.75% to 4.02% ± 0.62% after 20 weeks dupilumab treatment. There was no noticeable change in LEKTI protein expression in skin lesions pre- and post-treatment. Two patients reported mild ocular adverse effects, but there were no severe adverse events. Conclusion Dupilumab may be an effective and safe treatment option in a subset of pediatric patients with Netherton syndrome, especially in improving itch and the quality of life. These effects were achieved in part by suppression of the Th2-mediated inflammation.

Abstract
Link recommendation, such as “People You May Know” on LinkedIn, recommends links to connect unlinked online social network users. Existing link recommendation methods tend to recommend similar friends to a user but overlook the fact that different users have different diversity preferences when making friends in a social network. That is, some users prefer to connect with friends of similar profiles while some others prefer to befriend those of different profiles. For example, Jane prefers to connect with those primarily majoring in mathematics, whereas Jack prefers to befriend those in many different majors. To address this research gap, we define and operationalize the concept of diversity preference and propose a new link recommendation problem: the diversity preference-aware link recommendation problem. We then develop a novel link recommendation method that recommends friends to cater each user’s diversity preference. Our study informs researchers and practitioners about a new perspective on link recommendation – diversity preference-aware link recommendation. Our study also suggests that recommender systems need to be designed to meet each user’s diversity preference rather than indiscriminately increase the diversity of recommended items for every user.

Abstract
Background DNA damage response and repair (DDR) related signatures play an important role in maintaining genome stability and other biological processes. It also affects the occurrence, development, and treatment of cancer. However, in renal cell carcinoma (RCC), especially clear cell renal carcinoma (ccRCC), the potential association between DDR-related signatures and tumor heterogeneity and tumor microenvironment (TME) remains unclear. Methods Utilizing unsupervised clustering algorithm, we divided RCC into two subgroups, DCS1 and DCS2, according to the differences in DDR gene expression, and compared the characteristics of the two subgroups through multiple dimensions. Results Compared with DCS1, DCS2 patients have higher clinical stage/grade and worse prognosis, which may be related to active metabolic status and immunosuppression status. At the same time, the high mutation rate in DCS2 may also be an important reason for the prognosis. We also analyzed the sensitivity of the two subgroups to different therapeutic agents and established a subtypes' biomarkers-based prognostic system with good validation results to provide ideas for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Finally, we identified a pivotal role for DDX1 in the DDR gene set, which may serve as a future therapeutic target. Conclusion This study showed that DDR has an important impact on the development and treatment of RCC. DCS2 subtypes have a poor prognosis, and more personalized treatment and follow-up programs may be needed. The assessment of DDR gene mutations in patients may be helpful for clinical decision-making. DDX1 may be one of the effective targets for RCC treatment in the future.

Abstract
Introduction The Chinese Government initiated the Donation after Citizens' Death policy in 2010. To now, it has been a major source of organs for transplant. Since it is still a young policy, corresponding clinical evidence is still urgently needed for its improvement. Compared to kidneys donated by SCD (standard criteria donor), increasing the use of ECD (expanded criteria donor) derived kidneys is a way to expand the donor pool but is also a result of the aging demography of China. This study is based on the data of kidney transplantation in our center with the Donation after Citizens' Death policy, aiming to provide a reference for the clinical use of ECD kidneys. Method A retrospective study enrolled 415 kidney transplants derived from 211 donors performed between October 2011 and October 2019. A total of 311 (74.9%) organs were donated from 159 (75.4%) SCDs, and the remaining 104 (25.1%) were from 52 (24.6%) ECDs. The log-rank test was used to compare the difference in survival and postoperative complications. The Chi-square test was used to compare the occurrence of postoperative complications and postoperative renal function. The Cox regression analysis was used for risk factor screening. Result Analysis showed that grafts from ECD were poorer in survival (P = 0.013), while their recipients had comparable (P = 0.16) survival. Moreover, it also was an independent risk factor for graft loss (HR 2.27, P = 0.044). There were significantly more AR occurrences in the ECD group compared with SCD group (25.0% vs. 15.8%, P = 0.004), but no significant difference was found in infection (51.9% vs. 47.6%, P = 0.497) and DGF (26.0% vs. 21.9%, P = 0.419) between them. Similarly, fewer recipients in the ECD group were free from AR within 1 year after transplantation (P = 0.040), with no statistical difference in all-cause infection prevalence in 1 year (P = 0.168). The eGFR in the ECD group was significantly worse than that in the SCD group at 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, and the highest value posttransplant (all < 0.05), but no difference at 5 years posttransplant. Besides, results showed cardiac arrest (uncontrolled vs. controlled, HR 2.49, P = 0.049), HLA mismatch (4–6 loci vs. 0–3 loci, HR 3.61, P = 0.039), and AR occurrence (HR 2.91, P = 0.006) were demonstrated to be independent risk factors for graft loss. Conclusion The ECD-derived kidney was worse than the SCD-derived kidney in terms of graft survival and AR occurrence, and trend to an inferior renal function postoperative. However, the recipient survival, DGF occurrence, and all-cause infection occurrence were similar.

Abstract
The ^{13}C(α,n)^{16}O reaction is the main neutron source for the slow-neutron-capture process in asymptotic giant branch stars and for the intermediate process. Direct measurements at astrophysical energies in above-ground laboratories are hindered by the extremely small cross sections and vast cosmic-ray-induced background. We performed the first consistent direct measurement in the range of E_{c.m.}=0.24 to 1.9 MeV using the accelerators at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory and Sichuan University. Our measurement covers almost the entire intermediate process Gamow window in which the large uncertainty of the previous experiments has been reduced from 60% down to 15%, eliminates the large systematic uncertainty in the extrapolation arising from the inconsistency of existing datasets, and provides a more reliable reaction rate for the studies of the slow-neutron-capture and intermediate processes along with the first direct determination of the alpha strength for the near-threshold state.

Methods: The clinical data of 121 children hospitalized at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from October 2019 to October 2021, with a diagnosis of suspected AE, were retrospectively collected and analyzed. The children were divided into definite antibody-positive AE (dAPAE), probable antibody-negative AE (prANAE), possible AE (pAE) and non-AE groups according to the Chinese expert consensus and the Graus criteria. A new diagnosis was made according to the Cellucci criteria which was compared with the clinical diagnosis to evaluate the diagnostic value of the Cellucci criteria. The Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis test, and χ2 test were used to compare the differences among groups. The sensitivity and specificity were used to evaluate efficacy of the Cellucci criteria. Results: Among the 121 children, 72 were males and 49 were females, with an age of 10.3 (6.5, 14.0) years at disease onset. There were 99 cases diagnosed as AE according the clinical diagnosis (58 males and 41 females), of which 43 cases were diagnosed as dAPAE, 14 cases as prANAE and 42 cases as pAE, and the other 22 cases were not AE (14 males and 8 females). The top 2 initial symptoms in the 99 children with AE were seizures (53 cases, 53.5%) and abnormal mental behaviors (35 cases, 35.4%). And the most common symptoms during the course of the disease were abnormal mental behaviors (77 cases, 77.8%) and seizures (64 cases, 64.6%). There were statistically differences in the incidence of consciousness disorders, autonomic dysfunctions during the course of the disease and the length of hospitalization among the 4 groups (χ2=21.63, 13.74, H=22.60, all P<0.05). Ninety-six of the 121 children were tested for AE-related antibodies, of which 45 cases (46.9%) were antibody-positive. According to the Cellucci criteria, 42 cases were diagnosed as dAPAE, 34 cases as prANAE and 14 cases as pAE. Compared with the clinical diagnosis, the sensitivity of the Cellucci criteria for the diagnosis of the 3 types of AE were 93.02%, 92.86% and 87.88%, and the specificity were 96.23%, 74.39% and 86.36%, respectively. Conclusions: The Cellucci criteria has a high sensitivity and specificity for the diagnosis of pAE and dAPAE in the clinical management of children with suspected AE, while a high sensitivity but low specificity for the diagnosis of prANAE. Therefore, it is recommended to apply the Cellucci criteria selectively in clinical practice according to the actual situation, especially in the diagnosis of prANAE.

Abstract
We aim to address the Nash equilibrium (NE) seeking problem for multiple players over Markovian switching communication networks in this article, where a new type of distributed synchronous discrete-time algorithm is proposed and utilized. Specifically, each player in the present game model is assumed to employ a gradient-like projection algorithm to choose its action based upon the estimated ones for all the others. Under the mild condition that the union network of all communication network candidates is connected, we show that the players' actions could converge to an arbitrarily small neighborhood of the NE in the mean-square sense by adjusting the algorithm parameters. It is further found that the unique NE is mean-square stable when it is not restricted by any constraint set. In addition, we show that the proposed distributed discrete-time NE seeking algorithm can be utilized to deal with the energy trading problem in microgrids where each microgrid is modeled as a rational player using a purchase price as its action to buy energy from other microgrids with surplus supplies. The energy market allocates the excess energy according to the principle of proportional distribution. Some numerical simulations are finally presented to verify the validity of the present discrete-time NE seeking algorithm in solving the energy trading problem.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To analyze the clinical and genetic characteristics of a child with clinical manifestations of hypoplasia, epilepsy and abnormal face. METHODS The clinical data of the child were collected. The peripheral blood samples of the patient and his parents were extracted for high-throughput sequencing, and Sanger sequencing verification and bioinformatics analysis were performed to detect suspected pathogenic variants. RESULTS The clinical manifestations of the child were overall developmental backwardness, seizures, autism, and special facial appearance. High throughput sequencing showed that there was a heterozygous mutation of exon 11: c.1920_c.1927delCCTCTACC (p.Ser641Rfs*31) of the DYRK1A gene. The same variant was found in neither of her parents, suggesting that it has a denovo origin. CONCLUSION The exon11: c.1920_c.1927delCCTCTACC (p.Ser641Rfs*31) mutation in DYRK1A gene was the genetic etiology of the case, which enriches the pathogenic gene spectrum of DYRK1A and provides the basis for clinical diagnosis and genetic counseling.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To assess the presence and characteristics of spin in recently published RCT abstracts in operative dentistry and to investigate potential factors associated with the presence of spin. METHODS AND MATERIALS The PubMed database was searched to identify parallel-group RCTs published between 2015 and 2019 in the field of operative dentistry, which compared two or more groups and had nonsignificant results for the primary outcome. Two authors evaluated independently the presence and characteristics of spin among these abstracts. Multivariable logistic regression analyses were conducted to identify factors associated with the presence of spin in the Results and the Conclusions sections, respectively. RESULTS A total of 77 RCT abstracts were included, among which 58 (75.3%) showed at least one type of spin. Spin was identified in the Results and Conclusions sections of 32 (41.6%) and 45 (58.4%) abstracts, respectively. 19 RCTs (24.7%) presented spin in both the Results and the Conclusions section of abstracts. The presence of spin in the Results section of abstracts was significantly associated with source of funding (OR=8.10; p=0.025) and number of treatment arms was associated with the presence of spin in the Conclusions section of abstracts (OR=5.66; p=0.005). CONCLUSION The occurrence rate of spin in the sample of operative dentistry RCTs abstracts is high.

Abstract
The Martian interaction with the solar wind leads to the formation of a bow shock upstream of the planet. The shock dynamics appear complex, due to the combined influence of external and internal drivers. The extreme ultraviolet fluxes and magnetosonic Mach number are known major drivers of the shock location, while the influence of other possible drivers is less constrained or unknown such as crustal magnetic fields, solar wind dynamic pressure, or the Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF) intensity, and orientation. In this study, we compare the influence of the main drivers of the Martian shock location, based on several methods and published datasets from Mars Express (MEX) and Mars Atmosphere Volatile EvolutioN (MAVEN) missions. We include here the influence of the crustal fields, extreme ultraviolet fluxes, solar wind dynamic pressure, as well as (for MAVEN, thanks to magnetic field measurements) magnetosonic Mach number and Interplanetary Magnetic Field parameters (intensity and orientation angles). The bias due to the cross-correlations among the possible drivers is investigated with a partial correlations analysis. Several model selection methods (Akaike Information Criterion and Least Absolute Shrinkage Selection Operator regression) are also used to rank the relative importance of the physical parameters. We conclude that the major drivers of the shock location are extreme ultraviolet fluxes and magnetosonic Mach number, while crustal fields and solar wind dynamic pressure are secondary drivers at a similar level. The IMF orientation also plays a significant role, with larger distances for perpendicular shocks rather than parallel shocks.

Abstract
Background As the major suppliers of food for higher consumers, phytoplankton are closely related to the yield, nutritional ingredients and even toxin contents of mariculture animals, potentially influencing the human health when they are consumed. With the increase of shellfish culture density, phytoplankton in the coastal waters have been excessively consumed in recent years, and the nutrients they depend on are becoming more and more limited, which severely restrict the shellfish mariculture and threaten the coastal ecosystems. Results In the present study, nutrient concentrations, phytoplankton assemblages and scallop growth status were investigated in the main bay scallop farming waters of the Bohai Sea (Qinhuangdao site) and North Yellow Sea (Zhuanghe site) in 2018. Both phosphate and silicate limitations were observed at the two sites, with the major determinant of phytoplankton assemblages being silicate in Qinhuangdao and phosphate in Zhuanghe, respectively. The phytoplankton assemblages at the two sites displayed different community structures and succession patterns. The phytoplankton community was dominated by dinoflagellates and diatoms in Qinhuangdao, while dinoflagellates were the most abundant group in Zhuanghe, which accounted for 41.9% of the total phytoplankton abundance. The dominant genera of diatoms in Qinhuangdao were Skeletonema, Thalassiosira and Leptocylindrus, while those in Zhuanghe were Thalassiosira and Cyclotella. Greater biomass and more appropriate structure of phytoplankton contributed to higher growth rate and glycogen content of cultured bay scallops. Conclusions Our study characterized the relationship between nutrient concentration, phytoplankton community and scallop mariculture in the main bay scallop farming waters in northern China. The results suggest that, as nutrient limitation intensified, dinoflagellates are becoming the dominant phytoplankton species in the scallop farming waters of the Bohai Sea and the North Yellow Sea, which is harmful to the coastal mariculture. Abstract
The objective of this study was to understand the drinking water quality state in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from 2014 to 2018 and to derive information that will provide a basis for improving the drinking water quality in the region. Monitoring data for drinking water from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region for 2014 to 2018 were analyzed and the results were compared with GB 5749-2006, the Standard Test Method for Drinking Water, and GB 5749-2006, the Drinking Water Quality Standards. Data for a total of 30,613 water samples were assessed. Of the data for the microbiological index, sensory trait and general chemical index, and toxicological index, 89, 80, and 69% were qualified, respectively. For the toxicological index, the fluoride and nitrate nitrogen data were the least compliant. The water quality in all the cities was generally very suitable for drinking. However, there were marked differences in the qualified rates of drinking water in different areas and the qualified rates of the data for the three indexes were lower in rural areas than in urban areas. Given the varied issues with the drinking water quality, the relevant departments of League cities should implement appropriate and effective treatment measures to improve the drinking water quality and ensure it is safe for residents.

Abstract
Discrete aurora at Mars, characterized by their small spatial scale and tendency to form near strong crustal magnetic fields, are emissions produced by particle precipitation into the Martian upper atmosphere. Since 2014, Mars Atmosphere and Volatile EvolutioN's (MAVEN's) Imaging Ultraviolet Spectrograph (IUVS) has obtained a large collection of UV discrete aurora observations during its routine periapsis nightside limb scans. Initial analysis of these observations has shown that, near the strongest crustal magnetic fields in the southern hemisphere, the IUVS discrete aurora detection frequency is highly sensitive to the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) clock angle. However, the role of other solar wind properties in controlling the discrete aurora detection frequency has not yet been determined. In this work, we use the IUVS discrete aurora observations, along with MAVEN observations of the upstream solar wind, to determine how the discrete aurora detection frequency varies with solar wind dynamic pressure, IMF strength, and IMF cone angle. We find that, outside of the strong crustal field region (SCFR) in the southern hemisphere, the aurora detection frequency is relatively insensitive to the IMF orientation, but significantly increases with solar wind dynamic pressure, and moderately increases with IMF strength. Interestingly however, although high solar wind dynamic pressures cause more aurora to form, they have little impact on the brightness of the auroral emissions. Alternatively, inside the SCFR, the detection frequency is only moderately dependent on the solar wind dynamic pressure, and is much more sensitive to the IMF clock and cone angles. In the SCFR, aurora are unlikely to occur when the IMF points near the radial or anti-radial directions when the cone angle (arccos(B x /|B|)) is less than 30° or between 120° and 150°. Together, these results provide the first comprehensive characterization of how upstream solar wind conditions affect the formation of discrete aurora at Mars.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION To meet the need for transplantable organs, a new donation program was initiated by the Chinese government. This novel policy created three categories for deceased organ donations: donation after circulatory death cardiac death (DCD), donation after brain death (DBD), and donation after brain death followed by circulatory death (DBCD) meaning complete cardiac arrest. In fact, the DBCD method is a combination of both DBD and DCD methods. A DBCD donor meets the criteria of for brain death, but the organ procurement begins after the withdrawal of life support and the subsequent cardiac arrest death. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the long-term outcomes of kidney transplantation in our center with the DBCD policy. Potential risk factors for affecting the renal allograft survival were also analyzed based on our data. METHOD A retrospective study, involving 421 kidney transplants derived from 214 donors, was conducted between December 2011 and October 2019. In particular, 373 (88.6%) transplanted organs met the criteria for DBCD, and 48 (11.4%) for DCD. The log-rank test was used to compare the difference in survival. The Cox regression analysis was used for risk factor screening. RESULT Analysis showed that the DBCD group was better than the DCD group in terms of overall (p = 0.031) as well as death-censored (p = 0.026) allograft survival using the log-rank test. A Cox regression analysis revealed that increasing donor age (p = 0.002, HR = 1.820/10 years incremental older), increasing recipient age (p = 0.028, HR = 1.521/10 years increment older), prolonged dialysis duration (p = 0.007, HR = 1.018), occurrence episodes of acute rejection (p = 0.016, HR = 2.697), delayed graft function (p = 0.012, HR = 2.962), mismatch ≥4 HLA loci (p = 0.038, HR = 3.606), and warm ischemia time > 15 min (p = 0.022, HR = 2.915), were all independent risk factors affecting the graft survival. CONCLUSION The new DBCD policy of donation produced acceptable results similar or even better than the DCD practice. Based on our analysis, the graft survival of DBCD transplants may be better than DCD transplants. The main risk factors for allograft loss included an increasing donor age, recipient age, warm ischemia time > 15 min, prolonged dialysis duration, acute rejection, delayed graft function, and HLA mismatch ≥4 HLA loci.
