Abstract
AIMS Accurate dose delivery is crucial for cervical cancer volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT). We aimed to develop a robust deep-learning (DL) algorithm for fast and accurate dose prediction of cervical cancer VMAT in multicenter datasets and then explore the feasibility of the DL algorithm to endometrial cancer VMAT with different prescriptions. MATERIALS AND METHODS We proposed the AtTranNet algorithm for three-dimensional dose prediction. A total of 367 cervical patients were enrolled in this study. Three hundred twenty-two cervical patients from 3 centers were randomly divided into 70%, 10%, and 20% as training, validation, and testing sets, respectively. Forty-five cervical patients from another center were selected for external testing. Moreover, 70 patients of endometrial cancer with different prescriptions were further selected to test the model. Prediction precision was evaluated by dosimetric difference, dose map, and dose-volume histogram metrics. RESULTS The prediction results were all clinically acceptable. The mean absolute error within the body in internal testing was 0.66 ± 0.63%. The maximum |δD| for planning target volume was observed in D98, which is 1.24 ± 2.73 Gy. The maximum |δD| for organs at risk was observed in Dmean of bladder, which is 4.79 ± 3.14 Gy. The maximum |δV| were observed in V40 of pelvic bones, which is 4.77 ± 4.48%. CONCLUSION AtTranNet showed the feasibility and reasonable accuracy in the dose prediction for cervical cancer in multiple centers. The model can also be generalized for endometrial cancer with different prescriptions without any transfer learning.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Amide proton transfer-weighted imaging (APTWI) and multiple models intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) based 18F-FDG PET/MR could reflect the microscopic information of the tumor from multiple perspectives. However, its value in the prognostic assessment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) still needs to be further explored. PURPOSE To determine whether pretreatment APTWI, mono-, bi-, and stretched-exponential model IVIM, and 18F-FDG PET-derived parameters of the primary lesion may be associated with progression-free survival (PFS) in NSCLC. STUDY TYPE Prospective. POPULATION Seventy-seven patients (mean age, 62 years, range, 20-81 years) with 37 men and 40 women were included. FIELD STRENGTH/SEQUENCE 3.0 T 18F-FDG PET/MRI, single shot echo planar imaging sequences for IVIM and fast spin-echo sequences with magnetization transfer pulses for APTWI. ASSESSMENT Patient clinical characteristics (age, sex, smoke, subtype, TNM stage, and surgery), PFS (chest CT every 3 months, median follow-up was 18 months, range, 4-27 months), and APTWI (MTRasym(3.5 ppm)), IVIM (ADCstand, D, D*, f, DDC, and α), and 18F-FDG PET (SUVmax, MTV, and TLG) parameters were recorded. STATISTICAL TESTS Proportional hazards model, concordance index, calibration curve, decision curve analysis (DCA), and Log-rank test. A P value <0.05 was considered statistically significant. RESULTS Histological subtype, TNM stage, MTV, D*, and MTRasym(3.5 ppm) were all independent predictors of PFS. A prediction model based on these predictors was developed with a C-index of 0.895 (95% CI: 0.839-0.951), which was significantly superior to each of the above predictors alone (C-index = 0.629, 0.707, 0.692, 0.678, and 0.558, respectively). The calibration curve and DCA indicated good consistency and clinical utility of the prediction model, respectively. Log-rank test results showed a significant difference in PFS between the high- and low-risk groups. DATA CONCLUSION APTWI and multiple models IVIM based 18F-FDG PET/MRI can be used for PFS assessment in NSCLC. EVIDENCE LEVEL 3 TECHNICAL EFFICACY: Stage 2.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Accumulating evidence has suggested that RNA binding protein (RBP) dysregulation plays an essential role during tumorigenesis. Here, we sought to explore the potential biological functions and clinical significance of RBP and develop diagnostic and prognostic signatures based on RBP in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). METHODS The differently expressed RBPs between HNSCC samples and their normal counterparts were identified using the Limma package. The immunohistochemistry (IHC) images of several RBPs were collected from the Human Protein Atlas database. The diagnostic signature based on RBP was built by LASSO-logistic regression and random forest. The prognostic signature based on RBP was constructed by LASSO and stepwise Cox regression analysis in the training cohort and validated in the validation cohort. RESULTS Eighty-four aberrantly expressed RBPs were obtained, comprising 41 up-regulated and 43 down-regulated RBPs. Seven RBP genes (CPEB3, PDCD4, ENDOU, PARP12, DNMT3B, IGF2BP1, EXO1) were identified as diagnostic-related hub genes. They were used to establish a diagnostic RBP signature risk score (DRBPS) model by the coefficients in least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO)-logistic regression analysis and showed high specificity and sensitivity in the training (area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) = 0.998), and in all validation cohorts (AUC > 0.95 for all). Similarly, seven RBP genes (MKRN3, ZC3H12D, EIF5A2, AFF3, SIDT1, RBM24, and NR0B1) were identified as prognosis-associated hub genes by LASSO and stepwise multiple Cox regression analyses and were used to construct the prognostic model named as PRBPS. The AUC of the time-dependent receiver operator characteristic curve of the prognostic model was 0.664 at 3 years and 0.635 at 5 years in the training cohort and 0.720, 0.777 in the validation cohort, showing a favorable predictive efficacy for prognosis in HNSCC. CONCLUSIONS Our results demonstrate the value of consideration of RBP in the diagnosis and prognosis for HNSCC and provide a novel insight into understanding the potential role of dysregulated RBP in HNSCC.

Abstract
Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is the most common type of oral cancer, characterized by invasiveness, local lymph node metastasis, and poor prognosis. Traditional treatment and medications have limitations, making the specific inhibition of OSCC growth, invasion, and metastasis a challenge. The tumor microenvironment exhibits mildly acidity and high concentrations of H2O2, and its exploitation for cancer treatment has been widely researched across various cancers, but research in the oral cancer field is relatively limited. In this study, by loading ultra-small Prussian blue nanoparticles (USPBNPs) into mesoporous calcium-silicate nanoparticles (MCSNs), we developed an acid-responsive iron-based nanocomposite, USPBNPs@MCSNs (UPM), for the OSCC treatment. UPM demonstrated excellent dual enzyme activities, generating toxic ·OH in a mildly acidic environment, effectively killing OSCC cells and producing O2 in a neutral environment to alleviate tissue hypoxia. The results showed that UPM could effectively inhibit the proliferation, migration, and invasion of OSCC cells, as well as the growth of mice solid tumors, without obvious systemic toxicity. The mechanisms may involve UPM inducing ferroptosis of OSCC cells by downregulating the xCT/GPX4/glutathione (GSH) axis, characterized by intracellular iron accumulation, reactive oxygen species accumulation, GSH depletion, lipid peroxidation, and abnormal changes in mitochondrial morphology. Therefore, this study provides empirical support for ferroptosis as an emerging therapeutic target for OSCC and offers a valuable insight for future OSCC treatment.

Abstract
CircRNAs (circular RNAs) reduce the abundance of miRNAs through ceRNA (competing endogenous RNA), to regulate many physiological processes and stress responses in plants. However, the role of circRNA in drought stress is poorly understood. Through ring identification and sequencing verification of ath-circ032768, bioinformatics analysis predicted the interaction of ath-circ032768-miR472-RPS5, and further obtained transgenic plants overexpressing ath-circ032768 and silencing STTM-miR472. The change in drought stress was analysed using biochemical and molecular biological methods. Sequencing and biological analysis confirmed that ath-circ032768, miR472 and RPS5 were responsive to drought stress, and changes in gene expression were consistent with the prediction of ceRNA. The silencing vectors ath-circ032768 and STTM-miR472 were constructed using molecular biology techniques, and stable transgenic plants with drought tolerance obtained. Further physiological and biochemical studies showed that ath-circ032768 could bind to miR472, and that miR472 could bind to the RPS5 gene, resulting in decreased expression of RPS5. Hence, ath-circ032768 can competitively inhibit degradation of RPS5 by miR472 through ceRNA. This process is accompanied by increased expression of DREB2A, RD29A and RD29B genes. Through the ath-circ032768-miR472-RPS5 pathway, the RPS5 stress resistance protein interacts with DREB2A protein to enhance expression of downstream drought resistance genes, RD29A and RD29B, and participate in the regulation mechanism of plant drought resistance, thereby improving drought tolerance of plants.

Abstract
Positron emission tomography/magnetic resonance imaging (PET/MRI) systems can provide precise anatomical and functional information with exceptional sensitivity and accuracy for neurological disorder detection. Nevertheless, the radiation exposure risks and economic costs of radiopharmaceuticals may pose significant burdens on patients. To mitigate image quality degradation during low-dose PET imaging, we proposed a novel 3D network equipped with a spatial brain transform (SBF) module for low-dose whole-brain PET and MR images to synthesize high-quality PET images. The FreeSurfer toolkit was applied to derive the spatial brain anatomical alignment information, which was then fused with low-dose PET and MR features through the SBF module. Moreover, several deep learning methods were employed as comparison measures to evaluate the model performance, with the peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), structural similarity (SSIM) and Pearson correlation coefficient (PCC) serving as quantitative metrics. Both the visual results and quantitative results illustrated the effectiveness of our approach. The obtained PSNR and SSIM were 41.96 ±4.91 dB (p<0.01) and 0.9654 ±0.0215 (p<0.01), which achieved a 19% and 20% improvement, respectively, compared to the original low-dose brain PET images. The volume of interest (VOI) analysis of brain regions such as the left thalamus (PCC = 0.959) also showed that the proposed method could achieve a more accurate standardized uptake value (SUV) distribution while preserving the details of brain structures. In future works, we hope to apply our method to other multimodal systems, such as PET/CT, to assist clinical brain disease diagnosis and treatment.

Abstract
Magnetic proximity interaction provides a promising route to manipulate the spin and valley degrees of freedom in van der Waals heterostructures. Here, we report a control of valley pseudospin in the WS2/MoSe2 heterostructure by utilizing the magnetic proximity effect of few-layered CrBr3 and, for the first time, observe a substantial difference in valley polarization of intra/interlayer excitons under different circularly polarized laser excitations, referred to as chirality-dependent valley polarization. Theoretical and experimental results reveal that the spin-selective charge transfer between MoSe2 and CrBr3, as well as between MoSe2 and WS2, is mostly responsible for the chiral feature of valley polarization in comparison with the proximity exchange field. This means that a long-distance manipulation of exciton behaviors in multilayer heterostructures can be achieved through spin-selective charge transfer. This work marks a significant advancement in the control of spin and valley pseudospin in multilayer structures.

Abstract
BACKGROUND A quantification of the residual bone mass of the mandible (B/A) was utilized in this study to examine the correlation between mandibular fracture and residual bone mass. To improve the clinical utilization rate and reduce the incidence of iatrogenic mandibular fractures, the B/A ratio calculation should be simplified. MATERIAL AND METHODS Data were collected from the Yanbian University Hospital on 175 cases of mandibular fracture with third molar (M3), 67 normal cases without fractures and 20 cases of impacted teeth extraction. Twenty cases of iatrogenic mandibular fracture were collected, and the case records and panoramic radiographs of the patients were recorded. RESULTS The average B/A ratio of mandibular angle fracture group was 0.61±0.10.The value of B/A was found to be statistically significant in terms of whether M3 emerged from alveolar bone (P = 0.001), location (horizontal P < 0.001, vertical P < 0.001), the degree of impaction (P < 0.001), the number of roots (P < 0.001), the difference in impaction (P < 0.001), and the fracture type (P = 0.002). The average B/A ratio of normal group was 0.62±0.10. In the statistical results of the B/A value of normal patients, M3 involving alveolar bone (P < 0.001), position classification (P < 0.05), degree of impaction (P < 0.001) and presence or absence of a root (P < 0.05) were statistically significant. The average B/A ratio of iatrogenic mandibular angle fracture group was 0.28±0.08. The average B/A ratio of the extraction group for impacted teeth was 0.62 ± 0.09. CONCLUSIONS There is a high risk of mandibular angle fracture when the (B/A) value of the residual bone height (B) in the mandibular M3 area compared to the mandibular bone height (A) in the M3 area is less than 0.4.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Assess the correlation between the position of the third molar (M3) and fractures of the mandibular angle and condyle using panoramic radiographs to offer valuable data references for oral clinical research. MATERIAL AND METHODS A retrospective cross-sectional study was undertaken, involving the collection of 409 cases of mandibular fracture in the Yanbian University Hospital. The case records and panoramic radiographs of mandibular angle fracture (78 cases) and condylar fracture (106 cases) were evaluated. RESULTS In the comparative analysis between the mandibular angle fracture group and the condylar fracture group, statistical significance was observed in the variables of M3 existence (P = 0.002), eruption of M3 from the alveolar cavity (P = 0.003), P&G position classification (P = 0.001), deep impactions (Classes IC, IIC, IIIB, and IIIC) (P < 0.001), and the presence of impacted M3 in both groups (P < 0.001).Regarding M3 roots, the mandibular angle fracture group exhibited the highest prevalence of multiple roots at 75.4%, surpassing the 64.6% observed in the condylar fracture group. The prevalence of proximal angles in the mandibular angle group and the condyle group was the highest, accounting for 64.6% and 61.5%, respectively. The percentage of M3 in the two groups was 80% and 43.1%, respectively, with a significant difference (P < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS Impacted mandibular third molars (M3) elevate the risk of mandibular angle fractures, while their absence or normal eruption reduces this risk and protects against condylar process fractures. The fracture risk is influenced by the M3's position: P&G Class II and Class B impactions, where M3s emerge partially from the alveolar bone, are significantly associated with mandibular angle fractures. In contrast, the absence of M3 or its placement in P&G Class I and Class A positions tends to correlate with a higher incidence of condylar process fractures.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the sequential chemotherapy efficacy of different chemotherapeutic regimens in ovarian epithelial carcinoma, fallopian tube carcinoma, and primary peritoneal carcinoma. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on clinical and pathological data of 100 patients with platinum-sensitive ovarian epithelial carcinoma, fallopian tube carcinoma, and primary peritoneal carcinoma treated at Peking University Peopel's Hospital from January 1992 to January 2019. All patients underwent staging surgery or cytoreductive surgery followed by adjuvant chemotherapy. Based on different postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy regimens, patients were divided into the sequential chemotherapy group (70 cases) and the conventional chemotherapy group (30 cases). Clinical and pathological characteristics, chemotherapy efficacy, adverse reactions, and prognosis were compared between the two groups. Results: (1) Clinical and pathological characteristics: the age, tumor types (including ovarian epithelial carcinoma, fallopian tube carcinoma, and primary peritoneal carcinoma), pathological types, International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) stage, postoperative residual disease size, presence of neoadjuvant chemotherapy, and total number of chemotherapy cycles were compared between the sequential chemotherapy group and the conventional chemotherapy group. There were no statistically significant differences observed in these characteristics between the two groups (all P>0.05). (2) Chemotherapy efficacy: the median sum of complete response (CR)+partial response (PR) duration in the sequential chemotherapy group was 80.0 months (range: 39 to 369 months), whereas in the conventional chemotherapy group, it was 28.0 months (range: 13 to 52 months). A statistically significant difference was observed between the two groups (Z=-7.82, P<0.001). (3) Chemotherapy adverse reactions: in the sequential chemotherapy group, 55 cases (79%, 55/70) experienced bone marrow suppression and 20 cases (29%, 20/70) had neurological symptoms. In the conventional chemotherapy group, these adverse reactions occurred in 11 cases (37%, 11/30) and 2 cases (7%, 2/30), respectively. Statistically significant differences were observed between the two groups for both bone marrow suppression and neurological symptoms (all P<0.05). For the other chemotherapy adverse reactions compared between the two groups, no statistically significant differences were observed (all P>0.05). (4) Prognosis: during the follow-up period, the recurrence rate in the sequential chemotherapy group was 73% (51/70) and in the conventional chemotherapy group was 100% (30/30). The median sum of recurrence-free interval was 70.5 months (range: 19 to 330 months) in the sequential chemotherapy group and 15.0 months (range: 6 to 40 months) in the conventional chemotherapy group. Statistically significant differences were observed between the two groups for both recurrence rate and median recurrence-free interval (all P<0.01).In the sequential chemotherapy group, the median progression-free survival (PFS) time was 84.0 months (range: 34 to 373 months), and the median overall survival (OS) time was 87.0 months (range: 45 to 377 months). In contrast, in the conventional chemotherapy group, the median PFS time was 30.5 months (range: 14 to 60 months), and the median OS time was 37.5 months (range: 18 to 67 months). Statistically significant differences were observed between the two groups for both PFS and OS (all P<0.001). In the sequential chemotherapy group, the 3-year, 5-year, and 10-year OS rates were 100% (70/70), 93% (65/70), and 21% (15/70), respectively. In contrast, in the conventional chemotherapy group, the OS rates were 50% (15/30) at 3 years, 3% (1/30) at 5 years, and 0 at 10 years, respectively. The two groups were compared respectively, and the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). Conclusions: Sequential chemotherapy significantly prolongs PFS and OS in patients with ovarian epithelial carcinoma, fallopian tube carcinoma, and primary peritoneal carcinoma. The efficacy is superior to that of the conventional chemotherapy, with manageable adverse reactions. The use of sequential chemotherapy as first-line treatment for patients with ovarian epithelial carcinoma, fallopian tube carcinoma, and primary peritoneal carcinoma is recommended.

Azimuthal Angle Correlations of Muons Produced via Heavy-Flavor Decays in 5.02 TeV Pb+Pb and pp Collisions with the ATLAS Detector. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2024; 132:202301. Abstract
Angular correlations between heavy quarks provide a unique probe of the quark-gluon plasma created in ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions. Results are presented of a measurement of the azimuthal angle correlations between muons originating from semileptonic decays of heavy quarks produced in 5.02 TeV Pb+Pb and pp collisions at the LHC. The muons are measured with transverse momenta and pseudorapidities satisfying p_{T}^{μ}>4 GeV and |η^{μ}|<2.4, respectively. The distributions of azimuthal angle separation Δϕ for muon pairs having pseudorapidity separation |Δη|>0.8, are measured in different Pb+Pb centrality intervals and compared to the same distribution measured in pp collisions at the same center-of-mass energy. Results are presented separately for muon pairs with opposite-sign charges, same-sign charges, and all pairs. A clear peak is observed in all Δϕ distributions at Δϕ∼π, consistent with the parent heavy-quark pairs being produced via hard-scattering processes. The widths of that peak, characterized using Cauchy-Lorentz fits to the Δϕ distributions, are found to not vary significantly as a function of Pb+Pb collision centrality and are similar for pp and Pb+Pb collisions. This observation will provide important constraints on theoretical descriptions of heavy-quark interactions with the quark-gluon plasma.

BMC Cancer 2024; 24:589. Abstract
BACKGROUND Evaluate the efficacy and safety of different chemotherapy regimens concurrent with radiotherapy in treating locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC). METHODS Retrospective data was collected from LACC patients who were treated at our institution. These patients were categorized into three groups: the single-agent cisplatin (DDP) chemoradiotherapy group, the paclitaxel plus cisplatin (TP) chemoradiotherapy group, and the nanoparticle albumin-bound (nab-) paclitaxel combined with cisplatin (nPP) chemoradiotherapy group. The primary endpoints were overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) and the secondary endpoints were objective response rate (ORR) and incidence of adverse events (AEs). RESULTS A total of 124 patients were enrolled (32 in the DDP group, 41 in the TP group, and 51 in the nPP group). There were differences in OS (P = 0.041, HR 0.527, 95% CI 0.314-0.884) and PFS (P = 0.003, HR 0.517, 95% CI 0.343-0.779) between the three groups. Notably, the 2-year OS rate was significantly higher in the nPP group compared to the DDP group (92.2% vs. 85.4%, P = 0.012). The 2-year PFS rates showed a marked increase in the TP group (78.0% vs. 59.4%, P = 0.048) and the nPP group (88.2% vs. 59.4%, P = 0.001) relative to the DPP group, with multiple comparisons indicating that the 2-year PFS rate was significantly superior in the nPP group versus the DDP group (88.2% vs. 59.4%, P = 0.001). Moreover, the ORR was also significantly higher in the nPP group than in the DDP group (P = 0.013); and no statistically significant differences were found in the incidence of AEs among the groups (P > 0.05). CONCLUSIONS In LACC treatment, the two cisplatin-based doublet chemotherapy regimens are associated with better outcomes, with the nab-paclitaxel plus cisplatin regimen showing better efficacy than the paclitaxel plus cisplatin regimen. Furthermore, the AEs associated with these regimens were deemed tolerable. These findings could provide a reference for the clinical treatment of LACC. However, further prospective studies are needed to verify it.

Abstract
Recently, the topic of "overdiagnosis" of thyroid cancer has once again sparked controversy in the medical academic community, as well as extensive discussions from patients and the general population. To some extent, the overdiagnosis of thyroid cancer has been over interpreted. This article provides a detailed discussion on how to correctly understand the overdiagnosis of thyroid cancer from the perspective of a thyroid surgeon. The author believes that there are two elements to the occurrence of overdiagnosis of thyroid cancer: the presence of a large "silent pool" of inert tumors in the human body and medical methods to improve detection rates. In recent years, thyroid cancer has become the fastest growing malignant tumor in the world in terms of incidence rate. The exponential growth mode makes thyroid cancer over diagnosed and inevitably becomes a hot topic in academia. However, the overdiagnosis of thyroid cancer is not contradictory to the early screening and diagnosis of thyroid cancer. The overdiagnosis of thyroid cancer should be viewed scientifically and rationally, especially avoiding overinterpretation.

Abstract
We report the measurement of the inclusive cross sections for e^{+}e^{-}→nOCH (where nOCH denotes non-open charm hadrons) with improved precision at center-of-mass (c.m.) energies from 3.645 to 3.871 GeV. We observe three resonances: R(3760), R(3780), and R(3810) with significances of 8.1σ, 13.7σ, and 8.8σ, respectively. The R(3810) state is observed for the first time, while the R(3760) and R(3780) states are observed for the first time in the nOCH cross sections. Two sets of resonance parameters describe the energy-dependent line shape of the cross sections well. In set I [set II], the R(3810) state has mass (3805.7±1.1±2.7) [(3805.7±1.1±2.7)] MeV/c^{2}, total width (11.6±2.9±1.9) [(11.5±2.8±1.9)] MeV, and an electronic width multiplied by the nOCH decay branching fraction of (10.9±3.8±2.5) [(11.0±3.4±2.5)] eV. In addition, we measure the branching fractions B[R(3760)→nOCH]=(25.2±16.1±30.4)%[(6.4±4.8±7.7)%] and B[R(3780)→nOCH]=(12.3±6.6±8.3)%[(10.4±4.8±7.0)%] for the first time. The R(3760) state can be interpreted as an open-charm (OC) molecular state, but containing a simple four-quark state component. The R(3810) state can be interpreted as a hadrocharmonium state.

Abstract
Based on (10087±44)×10^{6} J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, a partial wave analysis of the decay J/ψ→γK_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0}η^{'} is performed. The mass and width of the X(2370) are measured to be 2395±11(stat)_{-94}^{+26}(syst) MeV/c^{2} and 188_{-17}^{+18}(stat)_{-33}^{+124}(syst) MeV, respectively. The corresponding product branching fraction is B[J/ψ→γX(2370)]×B[X(2370)→f_{0}(980)η^{'}]×B[f_{0}(980)→K_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0}]=(1.31±0.22(stat)_{-0.84}^{+2.85}(syst))×10^{-5}. The statistical significance of the X(2370) is greater than 11.7σ and the spin parity is determined to be 0^{-+} for the first time. The measured mass and spin parity of the X(2370) are consistent with the predictions of the lightest pseudoscalar glueball.

Development of a novel senescence-related gene signature to predict clinical outcomes, immune landscape, and chemotherapeutic sensitivity in oral squamous cell carcinoma. Abstract
BACKGROUND Cellular senescence significantly associates with tumor initiation, progression, and therapeutic response across multiple cancers. Here, we sought to develop a novel senescence-related genes (SRGs)-derived signature for oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) prognostication and therapeutic response prediction. METHODS OSCC-specific SRG prognostic signature was established with univariate Cox regression, Kaplan-Meier survival, and LASSO-penalized multivariate Cox regression analyses. A SRG nomogram integrating this signature and selected clinicopathological parameters were constructed by multivariate Cox regression. SiRNA-mediated gene knockdown was exploited to validate its function in vitro. The utilities of SRG signature in predicting immune status and chemotherapeutic sensitivities were analyzed. RESULTS The prognostic performance of SRG signature/nomogram was satisfactory in multiple independent cohorts. CDK1 knockdown induced senescence phenotype in vitro. Moreover, SRG signature scores negatively correlated with tumor-infiltrating immune cells and associated with multiple chemotherapeutic drug sensitivities. CONCLUSIONS Our results established SRG-derived signature/nomogram as powerful predictors for prognosis and chemotherapeutic response for OSCC.

Abstract
Metal implants and other high-density objects in patients introduce severe streaking artifacts in CT images, compromising image quality and diagnostic performance. Although various methods were developed for CT metal artifact reduction over the past decades, including the latest dual-domain deep networks, remaining metal artifacts are still clinically challenging in many cases. Here we extend the state-of-the-art dual-domain deep network approach into a quad-domain counterpart so that all the features in the sinogram, image, and their corresponding Fourier domains are synergized to eliminate metal artifacts optimally without compromising structural subtleties. Our proposed quad-domain network for MAR, referred to as Quad-Net, takes little additional computational cost since the Fourier transform is highly efficient, and works across the four receptive fields to learn both global and local features as well as their relations. Specifically, we first design a Sinogram-Fourier Restoration Network (SFR-Net) in the sinogram domain and its Fourier space to faithfully inpaint metal-corrupted traces. Then, we couple SFR-Net with an Image-Fourier Refinement Network (IFR-Net) which takes both an image and its Fourier spectrum to improve a CT image reconstructed from the SFR-Net output using cross-domain contextual information. Quad-Net is trained on clinical datasets to minimize a composite loss function. Quad-Net does not require precise metal masks, which is of great importance in clinical practice. Our experimental results demonstrate the superiority of Quad-Net over the state-of-the-art MAR methods quantitatively, visually, and statistically. The Quad-Net code is publicly available at https://github.com/longzilicart/Quad-Net.

Abstract
Desmoid tumors (DTs) are rare benign neoplasms but cause significant mortality due to their locally infiltrative nature and propensity to recur. Most DTs occur in the extremities and trunk. Head and neck DTs are uncommon but can have a significant impact on a patient's facial appearance. However, there is limited information available about the diagnosis and treatment for multiple DTs located in head and neck. We report the first case of multiple maxillofacial DTs in a 14-year-old boy. He had painless submandibular masses for three months and MRI imaging reveals abnormal high signals on the submandibular and bilateral zygomatic regions. Considering facial aesthetics, via intraoral incision we obtained a biopsy from the largest mass. Pathological examination confirmed a diagnosis of DT. We selected the wait-and-see strategy and clinically monitored the rest of the masses. During the subsequent 1-year follow-up, the masses were stagnant and appeared to involute. According to the development and outcome of this case, a conservative treatment for craniofacial DTs is suggested; however, greater clarity concerning management and prognosis could derive from prospective study of a larger patient cohort in the future.

Abstract
This Letter presents the measurement of near-side associated per-trigger yields, denoted ridge yields, from the analysis of angular correlations of charged hadrons in proton-proton collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV. Long-range ridge yields are extracted for pairs of charged particles with a pseudorapidity difference of 1.4<|Δη|<1.8 and a transverse momentum of 1

Abstract
Proximate-induced magnetic interactions present a promising strategy for precise manipulation of valley degrees of freedom. Taking advantage of the splendid valleytronic platform of transition metal dichalcogenides, magnetic two-dimensional VSe2 with different phases are introduced to intervene in the spin of electrons and modulate their valleytronic properties. When constructing the heterostructures, 1T-VSe2/WX2 (X = S and Se) showcases significant improvement in the valley polarizations at room temperature, while 2H-VSe2/WX2 exhibits superior performance at low temperatures and demonstrates heightened sensitivity to the external magnetic field. Simultaneously, considerable valley splitting with a large geff factor up to -29.0 is observed in 2H-VSe2/WS2, while it is negligible in 1T-VSe2/WX2. First-principles calculations reveal a phase-dependent magnetic proximity mechanism on the valleytronic modulations, which is dominated by interfacial charge transfer in 1T-VSe2/WX2 and the proximity exchange field in 2H-VSe2/WX2 heterostructures. The effective control over valley degrees of freedom will bridge the valleytronic physics and devices, rendering enormous potential in the field of valley quantum applications.

First Measurement of the |t| Dependence of Incoherent J/ψ Photonuclear Production. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2024; 132:162302. Abstract
The first measurement of the cross section for incoherent photonuclear production of J/ψ vector mesons as a function of the Mandelstam |t| variable is presented. The measurement was carried out with the ALICE detector at midrapidity, |y|<0.8, using ultraperipheral collisions of Pb nuclei at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair of sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV. This rapidity interval corresponds to a Bjorken-x range (0.3-1.4)×10^{-3}. Cross sections are given in five |t| intervals in the range 0.04<|t|<1 GeV^{2} and compared to the predictions by different models. Models that ignore quantum fluctuations of the gluon density in the colliding hadron predict a |t| dependence of the cross section much steeper than in data. The inclusion of such fluctuations in the same models provides a better description of the data.

Observation of Structures in the Processes e^{+}e^{-}→ωχ_{c1} and ωχ_{c2}. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2024; 132:161901. Abstract
We present measurements of the Born cross sections for the processes e^{+}e^{-}→ωχ_{c1} and ωχ_{c2} at center-of-mass energies sqrt[s] from 4.308 to 4.951 GeV. The measurements are performed with data samples corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 11.0 fb^{-1} collected with the BESIII detector operating at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider storage ring. Assuming the e^{+}e^{-}→ωχ_{c2} signals come from a single resonance, the mass and width are determined to be M=(4413.6±9.0±0.8) MeV/c^{2} and Γ=(110.5±15.0±2.9) MeV, respectively, which is consistent with the parameters of the well-established resonance ψ(4415). In addition, we also use one single resonance to describe the e^{+}e^{-}→ωχ_{c1} line shape and determine the mass and width to be M=(4544.2±18.7±1.7) MeV/c^{2} and Γ=(116.1±33.5±1.7) MeV, respectively. The structure of this line shape, observed for the first time, requires further understanding.

Abstract
Purpose To investigate the potential of radiomics signatures (RSs) from intratumoral and peritumoral regions on multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to noninvasively evaluate HER2 status in breast cancer. Method In this retrospective study, 992 patients with pathologically confirmed breast cancers who underwent preoperative MRI were enrolled. The breast cancer lesions were segmented manually, and the intratumor region of interest (ROIIntra) was dilated by 2, 4, 6 and 8 mm (ROIPeri2mm, ROIPeri4mm, ROIPeri6mm, and ROIPeri8mm, respectively). Quantitative radiomics features were extracted from dynamic contrast-enhanced T1-weighted imaging (DCE-T1), fat-saturated T2-weighted imaging (T2) and diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI). A three-step procedure was performed for feature selection, and RSs were constructed using a support vector machine (SVM) to predict HER2 status. Result The best single-area RSs for predicting HER2 status were DCE_Peri4mm-RS, T2_Peri4mm-RS, and DWI_Peri4mm-RS, yielding areas under the curve (AUCs) of 0.716 (95% confidence interval (CI), 0.648-0.778), 0.706 (95% CI, 0.637-0.768), and 0.719 (95% CI, 0.651-0.780), respectively, in the test set. The optimal RSs combining intratumoral and peritumoral regions for evaluating HER2 status were DCE-T1_Intra + DCE_Peri4mm-RS, T2_Intra + T2_Peri6mm-RS and DWI_Intra + DWI_Peri4mm-RS, with AUCs of 0.752 (95% CI, 0.686-0.810), 0.754 (95% CI, 0.688-0.812) and 0.725 (95% CI, 0.657-0.786), respectively, in the test set. Combining three sequences in the ROIIntra, ROIPeri2mm, ROIPeri4mm, ROIPeri6mm and ROIPeri8mm areas, the optimal RS was DCE-T1_Peri4mm + T2_Peri4mm + DWI_Peri4mm-RS, achieving an AUC of 0.795 (95% CI, 0.733-0.849) in the test set. Conclusion This study systematically explored the influence of the intratumoral region, different peritumoral sizes and their combination in radiomics analysis for predicting HER2 status in breast cancer based on multiparametric MRI and found the optimal RS.
