Abstract
BACKGROUND Turnover has significant impact on nursing management and nursing safety. Nurses working in the Emergency Department are especially vulnerable to high turnover intention because of their increased risk of work-family conflict associated with the work characteristics. OBJECTIVE This study aimed to investigate the effects of work-family conflict on emergency nurses' turnover intention and the role of positive and negative affect between work-family conflict and turnover intention. METHODS A cross-sectional study. Data were collected from 17582 nurses working in emergency department in China. We employed a standardized questionnaire to collect sociodemographic information and target work-family conflict, affect and turnover intention. Mediation analyses were performed for the data analyses. RESULTS On turnover intention, work-family conflict exerted both direct effect and indirect effect. The results also indicated that positive and negative affect partially mediated the effect of work-family conflict on turnover intention, and that 35.7% of this effect could be explained by mediating effects totally. CONCLUSIONS The findings highlight positive and negative affect concern during the process of nursing management and nursing managers should take active measures to reduce negative affect and improve positive affect in order to reduce turnover intention and maintain the stability of the emergency nursing workforce.

Abstract
BACKGROUND In the context of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, research on personal-job fit and physical and mental health was inadequate. We aimed to explore the relationship between personal-job fit and physical and mental health among medical staff during the two years after COVID-19 pandemic and verify emotional labor and burnout as mediators. METHODS A total of 2868 medical staff from two general hospitals, were included from July 3 to July 27, 2022, in Wuhan, China. SPSS was used for statistical description, and AMOS was used for structural equation modeling (SEM) to analyze the mediating effect of emotional labor and burnout. RESULTS In the SEM, the total effect of personal-job fit on physical and mental health was significant (β = 0.855, 95 % CI: 0.748-0.972). The mediating effect of surface acting between personal-job fit and physical and mental health was significant (β = 0.078, 95 % CI: 0.053-0.110). The mediating effect of burnout was significant (β = 0.220, 95 % CI: 0.175-0.274), but the mediating effect of deep acting was not significant (β = 0.006, 95 % CI: -0.013-0.025). The chain mediating effect of surface acting or deep acting and burnout between personal-job fit and physical and mental health was significant (β = 0.082, 95 % CI: 0.059-0.108; β = 0.049, 95 % CI: 0.038-0.063). LIMITATIONS Owing to the cross-sectional study, causal relationship, and direction of effects among variables could not be determined. CONCLUSIONS Personal-job fit has significant direct and indirect effects on physical and mental health. Monitoring and intervening in personal-job fit, emotional labor, and burnout might be effective ways to promoting physical and mental health among medical staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract
In order to understand the heavy metal pollution of the industrial and mining area in northern Guangdong Province, topsoil samples (0-20 cm) from 209 sites in study area were collected, and the concentrations of As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Hg, Ni, Pb, and Zn were analyzed. The source and distribution characteristics of Cd, Cr, Hg, Ni, Pb, As, Cu, and Zn in soil samples were analyzed using the geographic information system (GIS) and principal component analysis (PCA), and the geo-accumulation index and potential ecological hazard index were used to evaluate their pollution status and ecological risk. The results showed that:① Except Ni, all seven heavy metal elements exceeded the national soil background value but were below the pollution risk screening value. The soil environment as a whole was relatively clean. ② The spatial distribution of heavy metals in soil differed. The contents of As and Pb showed northwest-southeast zonal distribution. The contents of Cd, Cu, Hg, and Zn generally decreased from the middle to the surrounding, which was consistent with the industrial and mining enterprise locations. However, the spatial distribution of Cr and Ni had no direct relationship with the location of pollution sources such as industrial enterprises. ③ The eight heavy metals could be identified as three principal components (PCs). PC1 (Cd, Cu, Pb, and Zn) was mainly affected by human activities such as lead-zinc deposit dressing, traffic emissions, and agricultural production. However, PC2 (Cr and Ni) was a natural source, mainly affected by soil parent material. In addition, PC3 (As and Hg) was mainly affected by industrial activities such as non-ferrous metal smelting and thermal power generation. ④ According to the geo-accumulation index method, the risk degree of the eight heavy metals was:Cd>As>Zn>Hg>Pb>Cu>Cr=Ni. The contents of Cr and Ni in soil were at a no-risk level; the contents of As, Cu, Hg, Pb, and Zn were at a low-risk level; and the content of Cd was at a high-risk level. Most potential ecological hazards for single elements in the study area were at a mild risk level. In contrast, a small proportion of the surface soils in areas of intense industrial activity were subject to substantial levels of heavy metal stress and require further attention.

Abstract
Environmental problems caused by heavy metal pollution in soil have attracted widespread attention worldwide. Identifying and quantifying the heavy metal pollution sources and risks is crucial for subsequent soil management. In this study, an integrated source-risk method for source apportionment and risk assessment based on the PMF model, the geodetector model and the health risk assessment model (HRA) was proposed and applied. Analysis of Hg, As, Pb, Cd, Cu, Ni, Cr, and Zn in 208 topsoils showed that the average contents of eight heavy metals were 1.87-5.86 times greater than corresponding background values, among which Cd and As were relatively high, which were higher than the specified soil risk screening values, high-value areas of heavy metals are mainly concentrated in the central part of the study area. The source apportionment showed that the accumulation of heavy metals was affected by five sources: atmospheric deposition (16.3 %), natural sources (33.1 %), industrial activities dominated by metal mining (15.1 %), industrial activities dominated by metal smelting (12.6 %) and traffic sources (22.9 %). The results of the health risk assessment showed that the carcinogenic risks (adult: 4.74E-05, children: 7.41E-05) of heavy metals in soil to the study population were both acceptable, the non-carcinogenic risk of adult (THI = 0.277) was within the limit, while the non-carcinogenic risk of children (THI = 1.70) was higher than the limit value. Ingestion (89.5 %-95.9 %) contributed the greatest health risk among all exposure routes. Source 3 (arsenic-related industrial activities dominated by metal mining) contributed the most to the HI and CRI of adults and children (all above 50 %), therefore, in the formulation stage of soil management strategy in this area, priority should be given to the control and management of this pollution source. These results can provide more detailed support for environmental protection departments to propose targeted soil pollution control measures.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Feeding and eating disorders related to cognitive and psycho-behavioral symptoms are strongly associated with health status in persons with dementia (PWD). Non-pharmacological interventions have been the priority selection to address this significant issue. However, the direct targets of non-pharmacological interventions are unclear and there is no consistent evidence of recommendations on the intervention of different dementia stages and the settings of intervention practice. OBJECTIVE To provide caregivers with a set of self-help non-pharmacological interventions for feeding and eating disorders in PWD. METHODS Based on the process of evidence summary, a systematic literature search was performed on dementia websites and seven databases. Two researchers screened the studies independently and appraise the quality. The evidence was graded by Joanna Briggs Institute Grades of Recommendation. RESULTS Twenty-eight articles were included. Twenty-three non-pharmacological intervention recommendations were categorized into six themes containing oral nutritional supplementation, assistance with eating and drinking, person-centered mealtime care, environmental modification, education or training, and multi-component intervention. These interventions corresponded to three direct targets including improving engagement, making up for loss ability, and increasing food intake directly. They were applied to different stages of dementia and most interventions were targeted at PWD in long-term care institutions. CONCLUSION This article summarized the direct targets and the specific implementation of recommendations at different stages of dementia to provide caregivers with self-help non-pharmacological interventions. The practice of recommendations was more applicable to institutionalized PWD. When applied to PWD at home, caregivers need to identify the specific feeding and eating conditions at different stages and adopted the interventions in conjunction with the wishes of the PWD and professional advice.

Abstract
PURPOSE Gross extrathyroidal extension (gETE) into major vessel is considered the most advanced stage of the locally advanced papillary thyroid cancer (PTC). Surgical intervention may not benefit some patients at this disease stage or even result in intraoperative death due to massive hemorrhage; however, it is still considered an effective strategy for most cases. The lack of description for this challenging invasion in PTC warrants detailed characterization of its pattern, risk factors, optimal surgical method, and prognostic value. METHODS In total, 3127 patients diagnosed as having PTC were enrolled and categorized into two the following groups, namely the major vessel invasion (MVI) group (n = 30) and the control group (n = 3097). Data regarding clinicopathological and demographic characteristics, vascular invasion sites, postoperative complications, locoregional recurrence, distant metastasis, and surgical strategies were collected. Predictive disease-free survival (DFS) was also compared between the two groups. RESULTS MVI was independently associated with invasion of the esophageal extension, age < 55 years, tumor size > 1 cm, lateral lymph node metastasis, and distant metastasis (P = 0.00; P = 0.01; 0.05; P = 0.00; P = 0.00, respectively). The difference in the predictive DFS between the two groups was significant (P = 0.00), and the difference remained significant even in patients with ETE when compared with patients without ETE (P = 0.00). Additionally, predictive DFS did not differ significantly between patients who received vessel repairment and those who received vessel resection (P = 0.28). CONCLUSIONS This study first characterized the gross MVI pattern exhibited by PTC and the risk factors for MVI. Additionally, it demonstrated the DFS of patients with PTC. Extensive gross MVI significantly worsened the biological characteristics of PTC. Regardless of the high risk and difficulty of the operation, patients still benefited from the surgical intervention, and vessel repairment may be the optimal surgical strategy.

Abstract
Nanotechnology-enabled ferroptosis therapy is an emerging paradigm for tumor treatment, but amplifying ferroptotic damage in tumor cells in a safe and selective manner is still challenging, which severely hinders its clinical translation. In this study, we constructed a bio-inspired protein nanocomplex based on natural-occurring bovine serum albumin (BSA) and ferritin for efficient tumor elimination via cooperatively enhanced ferroptosis therapy. The long-circulating BSA molecules provided multiple anchoring points for the efficient loading of the GPX4-inhibiting ferroptosis inducer (1S, 3R) RAS-selective lethal 3 (RSL3), which was further complexed with ferritin via acidity-responsive glutaraldehyde linkers. The ferritin moieties may not only bind to transferrin receptor 1 overexpressed on tumor cell membrane for targeted endocytic uptake but also be degraded in lysosomes to induce iron overload, which could substantially promote the lipid peroxidation in tumor cells and cooperate with the glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4)-inhibiting capability of RSL3 to induce pronounced ferroptosis. The in vitro and in vivo results collectively demonstrated that the albumin-ferritin-based nanocomplex could present superior antitumor effects with no obvious adverse effects, which may open new avenues for the clinical translation of ferroptosis-dependent therapeutic modalities.

Abstract
An in-depth understanding of the ecological and health risks posed by heavy metals originating from various pollution sources is critical for foresighted soil-quality management. Based on 220 grid samples (2 × 2 km) analyzed for eight heavy metals (Cd, Hg, As, Pb, Cr, Ni, Cu, and Zn) in the Chenshui (CS) watershed of Hunan Province, China, we applied an integrated approach for identifying and apportioning pollution sources of soil heavy metals and exploring their source-specific pollution risks. This approach consists of three sequential steps: (1) source identification by combining the positive matrix factorization model with geostatistical analysis; (2) quantification of ecological, carcinogenic, and non-carcinogenic risks in a source-specific manner; (3) prioritization of sources in a holistic manner, considering both ecological risks and human health risks. Cd (68.0%) and Hg (13.3%) dominated the ecological risk in terms of ecological risk index; As dominated the non-carcinogenic health risk in terms of total hazard index (THI; adults: 84.8%, children: 84.7%) and the carcinogenic health risk in terms of total carcinogenic risk index (TCRI; adults: 69.0%, children: 68.8%). Among three exposure routes, oral ingestion (89.4-95.2%) was the predominant route for both adults and children. Compared with adults (THI = 0.41, TCRI = 7.01E-05), children (THI = 2.81, TCRI = 1.22E-04) had greater non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic risks. Four sources (F1-4) were identified for the CS watershed: atmospheric deposition related to coal-burning and traffic emissions (F1, 18.0%), natural sources from parent materials (F2, 34.3%), non-ferrous mining and smelting industry (F3, 37.9%), and historical arsenic-related activity (F4, 9.8%). The F3 source contributed the largest (45.2%) to the ecological risks, and the F4 source was the predominant contributor to non-carcinogenic (52.4%) and carcinogenic (64.6%) risks. The results highlight the importance of considering legacy As pollution from abandoned industries when developing risk reduction strategies in this region. The proposed methodology for source and risk identification and apportionment formulates the multidimensional concerns of pollution and the various associated risks into a tangible decision-making process to support soil pollution control.

Abstract
Thermal remediation has been widely used for the removal of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) from contaminated soil. The method has a high removal rate for semi-volatile organic pollutants; however, soil functionality is affected by the method because of the alteration of the soil properties. In this study, experimental soil was impregnated with phenanthrene (Phe), pyrene (Pyr), and benzo(a)pyrene (BaP); after natural air-dry aging, the thermal remediation experiment was carried out, using a tube-furnace and thermal gravimetry-Fourier transform infrared (TG-FTIR) equipment. More than 84% of the Phe and Pyr were lost in the aging stage, whereas the BaP was stable with 41% retention in the soil. After the thermal treatment, the desorption and decomposition of the pollutants and organic matter led to the removal of the PAHs; about 1% of the PAHs remained in the soil treated at 400 °C. The presence of the PAHs can promote the thermal reaction by slightly reducing the reaction activation energy by ~7-16%. The thermal remediation had a significant influence on the physical properties of the soil and destroyed the bioavailability by reducing the organic matter content. Therefore, a comprehensive consideration of effective PAH removal while preserving soil functionality may require a low temperature (100 °C) method for thermal remediation.

Abstract
Thyroid cancer is a prevalent human endocrine tumour. Surgical resection is a primary approach for well-differentiated thyroid cancers. Currently, the combination of chemotherapy with subsequent irradiation is a therapeutic strategy for the late stage or metastatic thyroid cancer. Yet, drug resistance and side-effects greatly limit widely clinical applications of chemotherapeutic drugs. The long non-coding RNA IQCH antisense RNA 1 (IQCH-AS1) is correlated with survival and diagnosis of cancer patients. Currently, the precise roles of IQCH-AS1 in thyroid cancer and the chemosensitivity of doxorubicin remain unclear. Here, we report IQCH-AS1 was significantly down-regulated in thyroid cancer tissues and cell lines. Overexpression of IQCH-AS1 effectively sensitized thyroid cancer cells to doxorubicin. From the established doxorubicin-resistant thyroid cancer cell line, 8505 C Doxo R, we detected that IQCH-AS1 was remarkedly suppressed in doxorubicin-resistant cells. Bioinformatics analysis, RNA pull-down and luciferase assays illustrated that IQCH-AS1 functioned as a ceRNA of miR-196a-5p which showed an oncogenic role in thyroid cancer. Overexpression of miR-196a-5p, which was upregulated in 8505 C Doxo R cells, significantly de-sensitized thyroid cancer cells to doxorubicin. Furthermore, PPP2R1B, which encode the protein phosphatase 2 A regulatory subunit A, was directly targeted by miR-196a-5p in thyroid cancer cells. Rescue experiments validated that recovery of miR-196a-5p in IQCH-AS1-overexpressing 8508 C doxorubicin resistant cells successfully reversed the IQCH-AS1-promoted doxorubicin sensitization via targeting PPP2R1B. Summarily, our study revealed new functions and molecular targets of the lncRNA-IQCH-AS1-mediated chemosensitivity of thyroid cancer, contributing to the development of anti-chemoresistant strategies against thyroid cancer.

Surgery is currently a mainstream treatment modality for various solid tumor indications. However, aggressive resection of tumor tissues frequently causes postoperative complications, which severely undermine the well-being of patients. Moreover, the residue tumor cells may substantially increase the risk of local and distant tumor relapse. The recent development in black phosphorus (BP)-based nanomaterials offers a promising opportunity to address these clinical challenges. BP is an emerging nanomaterial with excellent biocompatibility and versatile functionality, which has already demonstrated great potential for a variety of biomedical applications including tumor therapy and tissue engineering. In this review, the recent advances in BP-based nanobiomaterials for the post-surgery treatment of solid tumor have been summarized, while specific emphasis was placed on their capability to continuously inhibit residue tumor growth at the surgery site as well as stimulating various healing mechanisms, aiming to preventing tumor relapse while promoting the healing of surgery-induced traumatic soft/hard tissue injuries. It is anticipated that the nanoengineered BP-based materials may open new avenues to tackle those clinical challenges in surgical treatment of solid tumors.

Abstract
Objective Complete endoscopic radical resection of thyroid cancer, especially through the areolar approach, can achieve curative and acceptable cosmetic effects in patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma. However, some inherent characteristics of endoscopic procedures hamper functional protection of the recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN). Intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) is considered the most important accessory to protect the nerves during conventional radical thyroidectomy. This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility and necessity of IONM during complete endoscopic radical resection of thyroid cancer. Methods A total of 106 patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma were enrolled in the study between February 2013 and April 2018. Based on the use of the IONM technique, all patients were divided into the IONM (n = 54) and non‐IONM groups (n = 52). Overall, 66 RLNs were involved in the IONM group, and 61 RLNs were involved in the non‐IONM group. The time and ratio of RLN identification and the number of transient and permanent RLN injuries between both groups were compared. Results Compared to the non‐IONM group, the IONM group required less time for RLN identification (3.05 ± 1.58 vs. 9.36 ± 4.82 min, p < .01). The ratio of RLN identification in the IONM group was much higher than that in the non‐IONM group (100.00% vs. 88.52%, p = .01). A significant difference was observed in RLN transient injury between the two groups (one case accounting for 1.51% in the IONM group vs. eight cases accounting for 13.11% in the non‐IONM group; p = .03). Conclusion IONM significantly improved RLN identification and reduced transient RLN injuries during complete endoscopic radical resection. Level of Evidence 3b.

Abstract
Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy has achieved unprecedented clinical success against hematologic malignancies. However, the transition of CAR-T cell therapies for solid tumors is limited by heterogenous antigen expression, immunosuppressive microenvironment (TME), immune adaptation of tumor cells and impeded CAR-T-cell infiltration/transportation. Recent studies increasingly reveal that tumor physical microenvironment could affect various aspects of tumor biology and impose profound impacts on the antitumor efficacy of CAR-T therapy. In this review, we discuss the critical roles of four physical cues in solid tumors for regulating the immune responses of CAR-T cells, which include solid stress, interstitial fluid pressure, stiffness and microarchitecture. We highlight new strategies exploiting these features to enhance the therapeutic potency of CAR-T cells in solid tumors by correlating with the state-of-the-art technologies in this field. A perspective on the future directions for developing new CAR-T therapies for solid tumor treatment is also provided.

Abstract
Ferroptosis is a nonapoptotic iron-dependent cell death pathway with a significant clinical potential, but its translation is impeded by lack of tumor-specific ferroptosis regulators and aberrant tumor iron metabolism. Herein, we report a combinational strategy based on clinically tested constituents to selectively induce ferroptosis in metabolically reprogrammed tumor cells through cooperative GPX4-inhibition and ferritinophagy-enabled Fe2+ reinforcement. Azido groups were first introduced on tumor cells using biocompatible long-circulating self-assemblies based on polyethylene glycol-disulfide-N-azidoacetyl-d-mannosamine via metabolic glycoengineering. The azido-expressing tumor cells could specifically react with dibenzocyclooctyne-modified disulfide-bridged nanoassemblies via bioorthogonal click reactions, where the nanoassemblies were loaded with ferroptosis inducer RSL3 and ferritinophagy initiator dihydroartemisinin (DHA) and could release them in a bioresponsive manner. DHA-initiated ferritinophagy could degrade intracellular ferritin to liberate stored iron species and cooperate with the RSL3-mediated GPX4-inhibition for enhanced ferroptosis therapy. This tumor-specific ferroptosis induction strategy provides a generally applicable therapy with enhanced translatability, especially for tumors lacking targetable endogenous receptors.

Abstract
Background Although breastfeeding is one of the top priorities for public health in China, the rate of breastfeeding is still low and a large number of women do not initiate breastfeeding due to various reasons. Hence, this study aimed to understand the decision-making of non-initiation and reveal the underlying reasons in order to protect, support, and promote breastfeeding. Methods In-depth, exploratory interviews were carried out with 13 new mothers who did not initiate breastfeeding. The collected data were analyzed by inductive content analysis. Results Although mothers generally understood the protective effects of breastfeeding, they believed that formula milk is a good alternative to human milk and even better in some aspects. Five core themes related to non-initiation decision-making emerged: (1) expected breastfeeding stress; (2) maladjustment to the maternal role; (3) concerns about physiological issues; (4) the lack of knowledge about the risks of artificial feeding; (5) belief that it is better not to initiate than to interrupt. Conclusions The environment for mothers to breastfeed in China is not supportive enough, and the medical staff and families should be held responsible for the non-initiation of breastfeeding. More professionals are needed to support mothers to solve their problems and breastfeeding education should be further expanded.

Abstract
Heavy metals in soil are a great threat to ecosystems and human health. The rapid development of industrialization has created a serious risk of heavy metal pollution in soil. The study took the industrial-intensive Dahetan subbasin as the typical area. The factors and interactions that affected the distribution of soil heavy metals (Cd, Hg, As, Pb and Cr) in the typical area were explored based on the Geodetector model. The analysis results were extended to predict high-risk areas of heavy metal pollution in the soil in the Xiangjiang River basin. The results showed that Cd, As and Pb were significantly affected by local industrial and mining activities, and Hg and Cr were primarily affected by natural factors, such as pH and soil type. Compared to a single factor, the interaction between factors had a greater impact on the concentration of heavy metals. The high-risk areas of soil heavy metal pollution in the Xiangjiang River basin were primarily concentrated in the upper reaches and middle reaches.Significant overlapping of high-risk areas of multiple heavy metals occurred in the west, middle and south of the basin. The spatial visualization of the high-risk areas was realized, and the influence of several factors was integrated via layer superposition. This study proposes a new idea to predict the high-risk areas of soil pollution in large-scale areas to provide a reference for the regional prevention and control of soil pollution.

Abstract
Heterogeneity in sediment and aquifer is universal, resulting in preferential flows of injected materials in the high permeability regions and forming flow by-passed zones in the low permeability regions during in-situ subsurface remediation. This adverse effect can considerably delay the completion of remedial operations and significantly increase the cost. Column experiments were designed and conducted to study the transport of starch- and starch-xanthan gum modified Fe-Mn binary oxide particles (SFM and SXFM) in saturated heterogeneous porous media and to reveal the particles' arsenic (As) stabilization performance. Fine-in-Coarse (FIC) and Coarse-in-Fine (CIF) patterns of heterogeneous packings were set up in the columns. Testing results demonstrated that starch-xanthan gum dual treatment on Fe-Mn binary oxides successfully improved the particles' migration capability in heterogeneous porous media and their distribution uniformity attributed to the profound shear thinning behavior of xanthan gum solution. The addition of xanthan gum to the system increased the viscosity and shear thinning property of the SXFM suspension, making it a better candidate for delivery. Both SFM and SXFM stabilized As in heterogeneously packed sediment collected from a contaminated site, with SXFM showing better stabilization performance than SFM. The stabilization effects of SXFM were 90.7-97.0%, compared to 82.0-95.2% of SFM.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Patients with advanced tumors often suffer from spinal metastatic tumor pain. The current drugs are less effective and have side effects. The objective was to explore the efficacy of iodine-125 particle implantation in the treatment of bone metastatic tumor pain. PATIENTS AND METHODS In a retrospective study, a total of 27 patients with bone metastatic tumors who could not receive surgery or radiotherapy and chemotherapy were analyzed. All patients received conventional treatment, with the visual analog scale (VAS) of >3 points, and the daily onset pain of >3 times. All patients received CT-guided iodine-125 particle implantation to treat local painful lesions. VAS scores were recorded before treatment (T0) and 1 day (T1), 7 days (T2), 30 days (T3), 90 days (T4), and 180 days (T5) after treatment. Kaplan-Meier analytical method was used to calculate the local control rate (LCR) and survival rate (SR). RESULTS All patients successfully completed the CT-guided iodine-125 particle implantation. There was no significant difference in VAS scores before and 1 day after surgery. However, compared with pre-operation, the VAS scores decreased at 7, 30, 90, and 180 days after surgery. The postoperative follow-up was 6-38 months, with a median of 16 months; the LCR at 1, 2, and 3 years after the follow-up were 87%, 51%, and 21%, respectively, and the SR was 84%, 43%, and 16%, respectively. Moreover, no serious adverse reactions were observed. CONCLUSIONS Iodine-125 particle implantation was effective in the treatment of bone metastatic tumor pain without serious complications, and hence, can be used clinically.

Abstract
Tendon is a vital connective tissue in human skeletal muscle system, and tendon injury is very common and intractable in clinic. Tendon development and repair are two closely related but still not fully understood processes. Tendon development involves multiple germ layer, as well as the regulation of diversity transcription factors (Scx et al.), proteins (Tnmd et al.) and signaling pathways (TGFβ et al.). The nature process of tendon repair is roughly divided in three stages, which are dominated by various cells and cell factors. This review will describe the whole process of tendon development and compare it with the process of tendon repair, focusing on the understanding and recent advances in the regulation of tendon development and repair. The study and comparison of tendon development and repair process can thus provide references and guidelines for treatment of tendon injuries.
