Abstract
OBJECTIVE To systematically assess the prevalence of frailty, including prefrailty, stratified prevalence according to frailty criteria, gender, age, and region, and the risk factors for frailty in China. DESIGN We conducted a systematic literature review and meta-analysis using articles available in 8 databases including PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, CINAHL Plus, China Knowledge Resource Integrated Database (CNKI), Wanfang Database, Chinese Biomedical Database (CBM), and Weipu Database (VIP). SETTING Cross-sectional and cohort data from Chinese community. PARTICIPANTS Community-dwelling adults aged 65 and older. MEASUREMENTS Two authors independently extracted data based upon predefined criteria. Where data were available we conducted a meta-analysis of frailty parameters using a random-effects model. RESULTS We screened 915 different articles, and 14 studies (81258 participants) were ultimately included in this analysis. The prevalence of frailty and prefrailty in individual studies varied from 5.9% to 17.4% and from 26.8% to 62.8%, respectively. The pooled prevalence of frailty and prefrailty were 10% (95% CI: 8% to 12%, I2 = 97.4%, P = 0.000) and 43% (95% CI: 37% to 50%, I2 = 98.0%, P = 0.000), respectively. The pooled frailty prevalence was 8% for the Fried frailty phenotype, 12% for the frail index, and 15% for the FRAIL scale. Age-stratified meta-analyses showed the pooled prevalence of frailty to be 6%, 15%, and 25% for those aged 65-74, 75-84, and ≥85 years old, respectively. The pooled prevalence of frailty was 8% for males and 11% for females. The pooled prevalence of frailty in Mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong was 12%, 8%, and 14%, respectively. The pooled frailty prevalence was 10% in urban areas and 7% in rural areas. After controlling for confounding variables, increasing age (OR = 1.28, 95% CI: 1.2 to 1.36, I2 = 98.0%, P = 0.000), being female (OR = 1.29, 95% CI: 1.16 to 1.43, I2 =92.7%, P=0.000), activities of daily living (ADL) disability (OR = 1.72, 95% CI: 1.57 to 1.90, I2 = 99.7%, P = 0.000), and having three or more chronic diseases (OR = 1.97, 95% CI: 1.78 to 2.18, I2 = 97.5%, P = 0.000) were associated with frailty. CONCLUSIONS These findings of this review indicate an overall pooled prevalence of frailty among Chinese community-dwelling older people of 10%. Increasing age, being female, ADL disability, and having three or more chronic diseases were all risk factors for frailty. Further research will be needed to identify additional frailty risk factors in order to better treat and prevent frailty in the community.

Abstract
Context Hyperthermia has now been used to treat many kinds of solid malignancies. However, the applied thermal parameters about heat temperature and time varied all over the world, and no consensus about the optimal formula had been reached. Microwave ablation, as one of thermal ablation methods, is usually applied based on the fixed parameters of power and duration. As a result, too high temperature or overheating might not be avoided and excessive heating might cause some additional side effects to normal tissues. Aims To explore the optimal parameters of power and duration for the HELA and MG-63 cells in vitro. Settings and Design With a temperature-controlled microwave workstation, a microwave thermal ablation experiment was performed in vitro. Subjects and Methods The HELA and MG-63 cells were heated with 40°C, 45°C, 50°C, 55°C, and 60°C lasting for 5-30 min, respectively. Then, the cell viability was detected using four methods: Flow cytometer assay, nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide-diaphorase staining, Calcein-acetoxymethyl ester staining immediately after treatment, and CCK-8 assay 24 h later. Results The temperature-controlled microwave has an excellent ablation effect on both cell lines. Furthermore, when the thermal stimulation reached 55°C 25 min and 55°C 20 min for the HELA and MG-63 cells, respectively, or 60°C 5 min for both, all the viability indexes indicated immediately devitalization. Conclusion It presented a preliminary minimum lethal dose of heat was validated on the cellular level in vitro, which should be verified and corrected further in vivo.

Abstract
Objective: To study the antiseptic effect of compound lysostaphin disinfectant and its preventive effect on infection of artificial dermis after graft on full-thickness skin defect wound in rats. Methods: (1) Each one standard strain of Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, and Staphylococcus aureus were selected. Each 20 clinical strains of Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, and Staphylococcus aureus were collected from those isolated from wound exudates of burn patients hospitalized in our wards from January 2014 to December 2016 according to the random number table. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) of compound lysostaphin disinfectant to above-mentioned strains were detected. The experiment was repeated 3 times. Compared with the corresponding standard strain, the clinical strain with higher MIC and/or MBC was considered as having decreased sensitivity to the disinfectant. The percentage of strains of each of the three kinds of bacteria with decreased sensitivity was calculated. (2) Artificial dermis pieces were soaked in compound lysostaphin disinfectant for 5 min, 1 h, 2 h, and 4 h, respectively, with 21 pieces at each time point. After standing for 0 (immediately), 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72 h (with 3 pieces at each time point), respectively, the diameters of their inhibition zones to standard strains of Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, and Staphylococcus aureus were measured. The experiment was repeated 3 times. The shortest soaking time corresponding to the longest standing time, after which the disinfectant-soaked artificial dermis could form an effective inhibition zone (with diameter more than 7 mm), was the sufficient soaking time of the disinfectant to the artificial dermis. (3) Forty Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into post injury day (PID) 3, 7, 14, and 21 sampling groups according to the random number table, with 10 rats in each group. A full-thickness skin defect wound with a diameter of 20 mm was made on both sides of the spine on the back of each rat. Immediately after injury, the artificial dermis without any treatment was grafted on the wound on left side of the spine (hereinafter referred to as control wound), while the sufficiently soaked artificial dermis with compound lysostaphin disinfectant was grafted on the wound on right side of the spine (hereinafter referred to as disinfectant wound). On PID 3, 7, 14, and 21, the gross condition of wounds of all the surviving rats was observed, and the new infection rates of control wounds and disinfectant wounds were calculated. Then, the rats in the sampling group with corresponding time were killed, and the full-thickness wound tissue containing artificial dermis was collected for quantitative analysis of bacteria. Bacteria content of the uninfected control wounds and that of the uninfected disinfectant wounds were compared. Data were processed with chi-square test and Wilcoxon rank sum test. Results: (1) The MIC of compound lysostaphin disinfectant to standard strains of Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Acinetobacter baumannii were 1/32, 1/32, and 1/512 of the original concentration of the disinfectant, respectively, and the MBC were 1/32, 1/16, and 1/512 of the original concentration of the disinfectant, respectively. The percentages of clinical strains of Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii and Staphylococcus aureus with decreased sensitivity to compound lysostaphin disinfectant were 15% (3/20), 20% (4/20), and 10% (2/20), respectively. (2) After being soaked in compound lysostaphin disinfectant for 2 and 4 h, the longest standing time, after which the artificial dermis could form an effective inhibition zone against Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, and Staphylococcus aureus, were 24, 36, and 48 h respectively, longer than 12, 24, and 24 h of soaking for 5 min and 24, 24, and 36 h of soaking for 1 h. The sufficient soaking time of compound lysostaphin disinfectant to artificial dermis was 2 h. (3) On PID 3, no infection symptom was observed in all the wounds, and so both the new infection rate of control wounds and that of disinfectant wounds were 0. The artificial dermis was transparent but not well connected with the wound. On PID 7, the new infection rate of control wounds was 20.00% (6/30), which was obviously higher than 3.33% (1/30) of disinfectant wounds, χ(2)=4.043, P<0.05. On the infected wound, a large amount of purulent exudates were observed, and the artificial dermis was not connected with the wound and degraded partially. On the uninfected wound, artificial dermis was transparent and had a partial connection with the wound. On PID 14 and 21, no new infected wound was observed, and so both the new infection rate of control wounds and that of disinfectant wounds were 0. There was no obvious improvement on the infected wounds. The collagen layers of artificial dermis in the uninfected wound established a good connection with the wound and were separating from the silica gel layer gradually. Infection occurred in 2, 3, 1 control wound (s) in PID 7, 14, and 21 sampling groups, respectively, and in 1 disinfectant wound in PID 14 sampling group. The bacteria content of the infected wounds tissue was 0.79×10(6) to 7.22×10(9) colony-forming unit (CFU)/g. The bacteria content of uninfected control wounds tissue in PID 3, 7, and 14 sampling groups were (3.43±1.88)×10(2,) (2.37±0.43)×10(3,) and (8.40±1.03)×10(3) CFU/g, respectively, which were significantly higher than (0.33±0.12)×10(2,) (0.43±0.17)×10(3,) (2.16±0.52)×10(3) CFU/g of uninfected disinfectant wounds tissue (Z=-3.780, -3.554, -3.334, P<0.05). The bacteria content of uninfected control wounds tissue and that of uninfected disinfectant wounds tissue in PID 21 sampling group were similar (Z=-0.490, P>0.05). Conclusions: Compound lysostaphin disinfectant has quite strong antibacterial ability against Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, and Staphylococcus aureus. Clinical strains of the three kinds of bacteria were highly sensitive to compound lysostaphin disinfectant. Saturation of absorption of compound lysostaphin disinfectant achieves in artificial dermis after 2 hours' soaking. After 24, 36, and 48 hours' standing, the soaked artificial dermis still has the antibacterial effect on Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, and Staphylococcus aureus, respectively. The infection rate and the bacteria content of full-thickness skin defect wound in rats are all decreased when grafted with soaked artificial dermis.

Abstract
PURPOSE Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) injection has emerged as a novel treatment for knee osteoarthritis (KOA) but with inconsistent results in the experimental studies. Thus, the purpose of the present study is to evaluate the preclinical animal studies of MSCs injection for KOA and to determine the evidence for a role for MSCs in further clinical trials. METHODS A systematic search of KOA animal studies published through Aug 2017 was conducted using the PubMed, Embase and Web of science. Criteria for eligibility were animal studies assessing the therapeutic effects of MSCs intra-articular injection to animals with KOA. The methodological quality of included studies was assessed by the SYRCLE tool for assessing risk of bias in animal intervention studies. Descriptive synthesis was performed. Evidence quality was evaluated based on the Confidence in the Evidence from Reviews of Qualitative research (CERQual) tool. RESULTS Twenty-three KOA animal studies were eligible for inclusion. According to the SYRCLE's tool, all included studies had high risk of bias. Between-study heterogeneity was substantial. The included studies varied in terms of species, modeling methods, MSCs origin, treatment timing, injections frequency, transplantation type and dose of MSCs. The following outcomes, gross morphology, histological analysis, immunohistochemical analysis, radiological evaluation or behavior analysis, were reported in the primary studies. For all outcomes, the evidence quality was low or very low. CONCLUSIONS We do not have absolute confidence to recommend use MSCs injection for KOA clinical trials. Based on the internal and external validity of current animal studies, high quality experimental studies and efforts for effective translation from preclinical studies to clinical trials are still required.

Abstract
Abstract
By blocking the interaction of PD-L1 with PD-1, immune checkpoint inhibitors (CPI) can unleash specific, anti-cancer killing function of activated cytotoxic T cells in patients (pts) for whom there is evidence of an ongoing anti-cancer immune response (PD-L1 expression and/or activated T cells within the tumor bed). Single agent CPI therapy has provided substantial clinical benefit to pts with multiple cancer types. Though effective, response rates are typically limited (˜15-30% of pts depending on tumor type) and therapy fails to benefit the majority of pts. For these pts there is often limited or no evidence of an ongoing T cell-based immune response. Agents that stimulate the anti-cancer immune response may be particularly promising in expanding the clinical responsiveness to CPI therapies. Imprime is a novel beta glucan derived from Saccharomyces acting mechanistically as a pathogen-associated molecular pattern (PAMP) or non-self danger signal, to awaken and activate the innate immune system. Imprime drives a cascade of immune activating events activating tumor-specific cytotoxic T cells. Imprime treatment elicits repolarization of the immunosuppressive microenvironment while activating the maturation of antigen presenting cells. Imprime has significantly enhanced the efficacy of CPI therapy in preclinical tumor models. In humans, Imprime-mediated innate immune activation requires the formation of an immune complex with naturally-occurring anti-beta glucan antibodies (ABA). Formation of this complex is dependent upon sufficient ABA levels. Imprime is now being studied in combination with pembro (KEYTRUDA®), a humanized mAb against PD-1 which has been previously studied in TNBC pts.This phase 2 study explores the treatment combination in pts with metastatic TNBC who progressed following at least one line of chemotherapy and pts with metastatic melanoma who progressed following CPI therapy with sufficient pre-treatment ABA levels (˜50% of screened patients). The study is a Simon 2-stage design. Specific to the TNBC tumor type, a sample size of 12 pts in Stage 1 is planned. Criteria to advance to Stage 2 are ≤4 GR 3/4 AEs and ≥2 objective responses in TNBC. An additional 30 TNBC pts may be enrolled in Stage 2. Main eligibility criteria are metastatic TNBC after chemotherapy in the metastatic setting and serum ABA ≥20 µg/mL. The primary endpoints are ORR and safety; secondary endpoints are TTR, CRR, DoR, PFS, and OS. Efficacy will be analyzed for ORR and CRR as point estimates with 95% CI and for PFS, OS, DoR and TTR as descriptive summaries. Safety parameters will be summarized. Exploratory endpoints include ORR and PFS based on irRECIST. This study aims to collect pre- and early on-treatment tumor (6 wks post-1st dose) biopsies and peripheral blood to assess the impact of the treatment combination on immune activating events in the periphery and at the tumor site. Abstract
SummaryIn order to study the modifying effects of functional appliances on the mechanical environment of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), we characterised the structure of the mandibular condyle subsequent to an experimental functional appliance intervention. Eight, four-month-old, castrated male Merino sheep, were randomly allocated to experimental and control groups (n = 4 in each group). Forward mandibular displacement was induced with an intraoral appliance. The study period was 15 weeks, during which time fluorochromes were administered to all of the animals. Midsagittal sections of the TMJ were selected for analysis and trabecular anisotropy was estimated using bone histomorphometry. Only the experimental group demonstrated that the trabecular bone in the central condylar region was less anisotropic when compared to the subchondral region. Also, the variation in trabecular anisotropy of the central condylar region was found to be smaller in the experimental group. The collagen fibre orientation was analysed under polarised light as the proportion of the dark or bright fibres observed in regions which existed before, and regions which formed during the experiment, as determined by the fluorochrome labels. In the experimental group, more bright collagen fibres were found in the most superior region of the mandibular condyle when compared with the controls. These results suggested that the experimental functional appliances changed the orientation and pattern of the mechanical forces acting on the mandibular condyle, and possibly increased the magnitude of the lateral functional forces applied to the most superior part of the condyle during such treatments.

Abstract
Background This study investigated the predictive and prognostic significance of assessing early drug response with both positron-emission computerized tomography (PET-CT) and circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in patients receiving first-line chemotherapy for metastatic colorectal cancer. Patients and methods Eligible patients had PET-CT and CTC analysis at baseline and 4-6 weeks after starting chemotherapy, and then a CT scan at 10-12 weeks to assess the Response Evaluation Criteria In Solid Tumors (RECIST) response. Early response was defined as achieving a dual-endpoint consisting of PET-CT (30% drop in the sum of maximum standard uptake values-SUVmax-of target lesions) and CTC response (CTC < 3 cells/7.5 ml blood) at 4-6 weeks after starting chemotherapy. Results About 84 patients were enrolled with a median follow-up of 32.9 months (95% confidence interval, CI, 24.5 months-not reached, NR), and 70 patients (84.3%) completed all assessments. Achieving an early response based on the dual-endpoint was independently associated with progression-free survival (hazard ratio, HR = 0.452, 95% CI 0.267-0.765). The median progression-free survival of early responders was 7.41 months (95% CI, 6.05-9.11) compared with 5.37 months (95% CI, 4.68-6.24) in non-responders (log-rank, P = 0.0167). RECIST response at 10 weeks was independently associated with overall survival (OS) (HR = 0.484, 95% CI, 0.275-0.852). Early response based on the dual-endpoint could predict the subsequent RECIST response with a sensitivity, specificity and positive predictive value of 64%, 70% and 74%, respectively. Conclusions Early response based on both PET-CT and CTC analysis has prognostic and probably predictive significance in patients undergoing first-line chemotherapy for metastatic colorectal cancer. Its utility as a new tool for assessing early drug response should be further validated.

Abstract
Cervical human papillomavirus (HPV) infection may increase HIV risk. Since other genital infections enhance HIV susceptibility by inducing inflammation, we assessed the impact of HPV infection and clearance on genital immunology and the cervico-vaginal microbiome. Genital samples were collected from 65 women for HPV testing, immune studies and microbiota assessment; repeat HPV testing was performed after 6 months. All participants were HIV-uninfected and free of bacterial STIs. Cytobrush-derived T cell and dendritic cell subsets were assessed by multiparameter flow cytometry. Undiluted cervico-vaginal secretions were used to determine cytokine levels by multiplex ELISA, and to assess bacterial community composition and structure by 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. Neither HPV infection nor clearance were associated with broad differences in cervical T cell subsets or cytokines, although HPV clearance was associated with increased Langerhans cells and HPV infection with elevated IP-10 and MIG. Individuals with HPV more frequently had a high diversity cervico-vaginal microbiome (community state type IV) and were less likely to have an L. gasseri predominant microbiome. In summary, HPV infection and/or subsequent clearance was not associated with inflammation or altered cervical T cell subsets, but associations with increased Langerhans cells and the composition of the vaginal microbiome warrant further exploration.

Abstract
Background Genital inflammation is a key determinant of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) transmission, and may increase HIV-susceptible target cells and alter epithelial integrity. Several genital conditions that increase HIV risk are more prevalent in African, Caribbean, and other black (ACB) women, including bacterial vaginosis and herpes simplex virus type-2 (HSV-2) infection. Therefore, we assessed the impact of the genital microbiota on mucosal immunology in ACB women and microbiome-HSV-2 interactions. Methods Cervicovaginal secretions and endocervical cells were collected by cytobrush and Instead Softcup, respectively. T cells and dendritic cells were assessed by flow cytometry, cytokines by multiplex enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and the microbiota by 16S ribosomal ribonucleic acid gene sequencing. Results The cervicovaginal microbiota of 51 participants were composed of community state types (CSTs) showing diversity (20/51; 39%) or predominated by Lactobacillus iners (22/51; 42%), L. crispatus (7/51; 14%), or L. gasseri (2/51; 4%). High-diversity CSTs and specific bacterial phyla (Gardnerella vaginalis and Prevotella bivia) were strongly associated with cervicovaginal inflammatory cytokines, but not with altered endocervical immune cells. However, cervical CD4+ T-cell number was associated with HSV-2 infection and a distinct cytokine profile. Conclusions This suggests that the genital microbiota and HSV-2 infection may influence HIV susceptibility through independent biological mechanisms.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the related factors on effects of uterine artery embolization(UAE)in the treatment of dysmenorrhea in patients with adenomyosis, and to construct and validate the efficacy prediction model. Methods: A total of 127 cases of adenomyosis patients with symptoms of dysmenorrhea in Guangzhou No.1 People's Hospital and Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University from June 1999 to December 2009 were reviewed. The evaluation standard was to improve the degree of dysmenorrhea, the related factors of efficacy were analysed. Combined with artificial neural network theory, the effect prediction model was constructed, and the effectiveness of the model was evaluated using receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve, and the effectiveness of the cut-off point was calculated. The model was validated by 68 cases of patients with adenomyosis in the Nanfang Hospital from January 2010 to November 2014. Results: (1)In 127 cases of dysmenorrhea patients, UAE treatment was effective in 98 cases, effective rate was 77.2%(98/127).(2)Age was an independent predictor of effective UAE treatment(HR= 1.129, P=0.026); in the range of this study, the greater the age, the higher the UAE treatment efficiency.(3)The developing situation of ovary branches of uterine artery was an independent predictor of effective UAE treatment(HR=0.460, P=0.020), the efficiency of patients whose intraoperative bilateral uterine artery ovarian branch did not develop was 89.7%(35/39), the efficiency of patients whose unilateral uterine artery ovarian branch was developing was 84.1%(37/44)and the efficiency of patients whose bilateral uterine artery ovarian branch were developing was 59.1%(26/44).(4)Blood supply of adenomyosisis was an independent predictor of effective UAE treatment(HR=0.313, P=0.001). Type Ⅰ(bilateral predominated)patients, efficiency was 93.5%(43/46); type Ⅱ(bilateral balanced)patients, efficiency was 78.0%(39/50); type Ⅲ(unilateral predominated)patients, efficiency was 51.6%(16/31).(5)UAE for the treatment of adenomyosis efficacy of artificial neural network prediction model was constructed, the model's area under the ROC curve was 0.808, the optimal cut-off point was 0.669 13. Actual verification of the model, sensitivity was 96.5%, specificity was 81.8%, positive predictive value was 96.5% and negative predictive value was 81.8%, the total accuracy was 94.1%. Conclusions: (1)Age, the developing situation of ovary branches and blood supply of adenomyosis are the independent predictors of effective UAE treatment.(2)The artificial neural network prediction model is satisfied with the accuracy and the accuracy of prediction.

Abstract
Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play a pivotal role in tumorigenesis, exemplified by the recent finding that lncRNA maternally expressed gene 3 (MEG3) inhibits tumor growth in a p53-dependent manner. Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is the most common malignant myeloid disorder in adults, and TP53 mutations or loss are frequently detected in patients with therapy-related AML or AML with complex karyotype. Here, we reveal that MEG3 is significantly downregulated in AML and suppresses leukemogenesis not only in a p53-dependent, but also a p53-independent manner. In addition, MEG3 is proven to be transcriptionally activated by Wilms’ tumor 1 (WT1), dysregulation of which by epigenetic silencing or mutations is causally involved in AML. Therefore MEG3 is identified as a novel target of the WT1 molecule. Ten–eleven translocation-2 (TET2) mutations frequently occur in AML and significantly promote leukemogenesis of this disorder. In our study, TET2, acting as a cofactor of WT1, increases MEG3 expression. Taken together, our work demonstrates that TET2 dysregulated WT1-MEG3 axis significantly promotes AML leukemogenesis, paving a new avenue for diagnosis and treatment of AML patients.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE We studied the influence of Dexmedetomidine on cognitive function in children during the recovery period of general anesthesia. PATIENTS AND METHODS Ninety-three children who underwent general anesthesia were selected and randomly divided into (1) the control group, (2) the dexmedetomidine group, and (3) the dezocine group. Fentanyl, propofol, and rocuronium were used in all patients to induce anesthesia, while sevoflurane inhalation and propofol were used to maintain anesthesia. In the control group, 20 ml NS were infused intravenously 10 min before anesthetic induction. In the dexmedetomidine group, 1.0 μg/kg dexmedetomidine in 20 ml was infused for 10 min. In the dezocine group, 0.1 mg/kg dezocine in 20 ml was infused for 10 min. Mean arterial blood pressure, average heart rate, and average oxygen saturation (SaO2) were compared at the following time points: end of surgery (T0), before extubation (T1), during extubation (T2), and 30 min after extubation (T3). The VAS scale, Ramsay sedation score, delirium grading scale and occurrence of adverse reactions at 30 min after extubation were recorded. The occurrence of postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) and the expression of serum neuron-specific enolase (NSE) and IL-6 at postoperative days 1 and 7 were recorded. RESULTS Comparing mean arterial blood pressure, average heart rate, and average oxygen saturation (SaO2) at the different time points in the dexmedetomidine group, there were no statistically significant differences (p>0.05). The difference in the occurrence of adverse reactions in the different groups was statistically significant (p<0.05). The occurrence of postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) at postoperative day 1 was significantly higher in the control group than the other two groups (p<0.05), and on the postoperative day 7th, the differences were not statistically significant (p>0.05). Regarding the expression of neuron-specific enolase (NSE) and IL-6, the levels were the highest in the control group, followed by the dezocine group (p<0.05). CONCLUSIONS The dexmedetomidine is safer than dezocine in aspects of hemodynamics, sedation, analgesia, degree of delirium, occurrence of adverse reactions, and postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD). The improvement in the occurrence of postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) is related to the levels of serum neuron-specific enolase (NSE) and IL-6.
