Abstract
Objective: To explore the gene mutation characteristics and detailed clinical presentations of hyperglycemia caused by GCK mutations in 10 patients. Methods: The clinical and follow-up data of 10 patients with hyperglycemia caused by mutation of GCK gene were reviewed. The patients were ascertained between January 1, 2014 and August 31, 2018 at the Department of Pediatrics, the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University and Ningbo Women & Children's Hospital. Clinical data were collected, including age, gender, main complaint, family history, fasting blood glucose, fasting blood insulin, 2-hour blood glucose, 2-hour blood insulin after oral glucose tolerance test, glycosylated hemoglobin, anti-glutamic acid decarboxylase antibody and body mass index. Mutations of GCK gene were detected by Sanger sequencing or high-throughput sequencing of diabetes-related genes in the patients and their family members. Results: There were ten patients, 8 of them were male, 2 were female. The ages at diagnosis varied between 4.7 to 12.3 years. The patients usually did not have obvious clinical symptoms of diabetes mellitus. Most of them were unexpectedly found to have hyperglycemia and with impaired glucose metabolism in three consecutive generations. The fasting blood glucose of patients was 6.8-7.7 mmol/L, 2-hour postprandial blood glucose was 7.8-11.6 mmol/L. Fasting blood insulin was 0.5-8.5 mU/L, glucose tolerance test results showed that 2 h postprondial blood insulin was 1.3-55.4 mU/L. The level of glycosylated hemoglobin was 6.1%-6.8%. Anti-glutamic acid decarboxylase antibody was negative in all patients. The GCK mutations identified in patients and one of their parents were located at exon5 (4 cases), exon9 (2 cases), exon2 (1 case), exon4 (1 case), exon6 (1 case) and exon7 (1 case). Conclusions: Most of the hyperglycemia patients caused by GCK mutations did not have typical clinical symptoms of diabetes. The fasting blood glucose was slightly elevated. Abnormal glucose tolerance test results were found in all 10 patients. Three consecutive generations of family had impaired glucose metabolism. GCK mutations located at exon 5 were common in 10 cases. There was no correlation between type of mutations and plasma glucose levels in domestic and international researches. When fasting glucose was found abnormal in clinic, a complete family history should be taken and the GCK gene should be sequenced to confirm the diagnosis in time.

Abstract
To develop a quantum-dot-based multiplexed imaging system for the simultaneous monitoring of Hsf- 1/Hsp70 after heat shock, and to evaluate the effects of combined thermotherapy and leucine deprivation therapy on Hsf-1 inactivation. SCC-25 cells were leucine starved for 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4 days following which the cells underwent heat shock at 42°C for 30 min. At 6 h after heat shock, Hsf-1 activation and translocation to the nucleus was observed in cells that were leucine starved for 0, 1 and 2 days, and the synthesis of Hsp70 and Hsf-1 reached their maximum values and had a tendency to gather in the nucleus. However, in cells that were leucine starved for 3 and 4 days, Hsf-1 activity and Hsp70 synthesis level was dramatically decreased. Dietary restriction of leucine for at least three days could result in the inactivation of Hsf-1, leading to a reduction in Hsp70 synthesis. The combination of thermotherapy and short-term leucine deprivation therapy may become effective approach for the treatment of oral tumors.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the influencing factors of the vaginal birth after cesarean section (VBAC), and establish a model for predicting the risk of trial of the trial of labor after cesarean section (TOLAC). Methods: From January 2016 to December 2018, total 694 pregnant women who underwent TOLAC in Northwest Women's and Children's Hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Those cases were divided into two groups according to the mode of delivery: the VBAC group and the failed TOLAC group. At the same time, 700 cases in the elective repeat cesarean section (ERCS) group were randomly selected as control group. The influencing factors of VBAC were analyzed by univariate and multivariate logistic regression, and the pregnancy outcomes between the three groups were compared. Results: (1) The VBAC rate was 76.1% (528/694) and 166 women underwent the failed TOLAC (23.9%, 166/694). (2) Univariate analysis found that, the pre-pregnancy body mass index (BMI) [(22.0±3.0), (23.3±2.7) kg/m(2)], the previous vaginal delivery history [10.4%(55/528), 3.6%(6/166)], the cervical score (5.2±1.9,4.3±1.6) and the neonatal birth weight [(3 315±468), (3 484±274) g] of the VBAC group were significantly different from the failed TOLAC group (P<0.05). (3) The comparison of pregnancy outcomes: the neonatal birth weight was (3 315±468) g, and the intrapartum hemorrhage volume was (255±121) ml in the VBAC group, which were significantly lower than those in the failed TOLAC group [intrapartum hemorrhage (325±173) ml] and the ERCS group [(3 572±344) g, (281±125) ml], there were statistically significant differences in the comparison among the three groups (all P<0.05). Two cases of bladder injury occurred during cesarean section in the TOLAC failure group (1.2%,2/166). The rates of the blood transfusion, puerperal infection, 5-minute Apgar score and neonatal ICU admission among the three groups were no statistically significantly different (all P>0.05). There was no maternal or perinatal death. (4) Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the delivery age of pregnant women (OR=0.92, 95%CI: 0.87-0.98), pre-pregnancy BMI (OR=0.92, 95%CI:0.86-0.98), vaginal delivery history (OR=3.31, 95%CI: 1.35-8.01), cervical score (OR=1.29, 95%CI: 1.13-1.42) and the birth weight of the neonates <3 300 g (OR=3.15, 95%CI: 2.02-4.90) were independent influencing factors for VBAC. The area under curve of the receiver operating characteristic curve was 0.74. Conclusions: The influencing factors of VBAC are delivery age, pre-pregnancy BMI, vaginal delivery history, cervical score and neonatal birth weight <3 300 g. The adequate individualized management and assessment of the TOLAC may be helpful to improve the VBAC rate.

Abstract
Abstract Objective To observe the change pattern of pericyte number at different time periods after mice skeletal muscle contusion and discuss its role in wound age estimation. Methods A mice gastrocnemius muscle contusion model was established. The form and number changes of pericytes at 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 14, and 28 d post-injury were detected by multiple immunofluorescence staining. Results Compared with the slender shape of pericytes in normal skeletal muscles, pericytes in the contusion area had increased volume, rounder form and a round nuclei. Part of pericytes were found to express satellite cell markers paired-box transcription factor (Pax7) or myoblast determination 1 (MyoD1). The changes of pericyte number in skeletal muscles after contusion were time-dependant, and showed unimodal distribution with the extension of wound age. In the central contusion area, the number of pericytes peaked at 5 d post-injury while in the peripheral contusion area, the number of pericytes peaked at 5 d and 7 d post-injury. Conclusion The number of pericytes in contusion area varies time-dependently after skeletal muscle contusion in mice and might be a reference index for muscle wound age estimation, and is involved in the repair and regeneration of skeletal muscle injury.

Abstract
Since the origin of magnetism in ZnO-based diluted magnetic semiconductors (DMSs) is still controversial, in this work, we presented a detailed study on the magnetic, structural, and electronic properties of wurtzite ZnO-based DMS systems with point and complex intrinsic defects. Two outer electrons from neutral oxygen vacancy (VO) occupy the a1 orbital, making the inducted magnetic moment to be zero, while a cluster including three VOs leads to a magnetic moment of ∼1 μB. The magnetic moment of the system with a Zn vacancy (VZn) is 1.65 μB. When two neutral VZns in different relative distances were created in respective supercells, the systems showed different magnetic moments induced by the unequal level between the highest electron occupied orbital of the defect state introduced by different VZn sites and the valence band maximum. The system of a neutral O occupying an octahedral site gives rise to a magnetic moment of 2 μB, while zinc interstitial and antisite defects do not cause spin polarization. The system with a complex defect of VO and VZn is magnetic when those vacancies are adjacent but still do not cause the compensation effect. The oxygen interstitial defect is unstable, and VZn easily turns into the complex defect. We suggest that VO clusters and VZn complex defects could likely be the origin of ferromagnetism in undoped ZnO.

Abstract
SCR/SP11 encodes the male determinant of recognition specificity of self-incompatibility (SI) in Brassica species and is sporophytically expressed in the anther tapetum. Based on dominance relationships in pollen and nucleotide sequence similarity, the S haplotypes in Brassica have been classified as class I or class II, with class-I S haplotypes being dominant over class-II S haplotypes. Here, we revealed that S-22 in B. rapa belonging to class I is recessive to class-II S-44 and class-I S-36 in pollen, whereas it is dominant over S-60, S-40, and S-29 based on pollination tests. SCR/SP11 of S-22 (SCR-22) was sequenced, revealing that the deduced amino-acid sequence of SCR-22 has the longest C-terminal domain among the SCR/SP11 sequences. The expression of SCR-22 was found to be suppressed in S-22/S-44 and S-22/S-36 heterozygotes. Normal transcription of SCR-44 was considered to be due to the transcription suppression of Smi sRNA of the S-22 haplotype and a very low methylation state of the SCR-44 promoter region in the tapetum of S-22/S-44 heterozygotes. In SCR-22, only the cytosine residue located at the -37 bp position of the promoter region was hypermethylated in the tapetum of S-22/S-44 heterozygotes, and few methylated cytosines were detected in the promoter and coding regions of SCR-22 in S-22/S-36 heterozygotes. SCR-22 was also expressed in microspores in S-22 homozygotes but not in S-22/S-44 and S-22/S-36 heterozygotes. These results suggest that a mechanism different from class-II SCR/SP11 suppression may operate for the suppression of recessive class-I SCR-22 in S heterozygotes.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the application value of endoscope in probing the chronic wound with sinus tract in clinic. Methods: Twenty-eight chronic wounds with sinus tracts from 27 patients conforming to the inclusion criteria admitted to Outpatient Department of Wound Healing Center of Ruijin Hospital from December 2017 to March 2018 were investigated in a prospective and self-controlled trial. After being cleaned, the diameter of the opening of sinus tract was measured with a rule. A probe was used to measure the depth of a sinus tract according to the touch from the probe extremity in operation, and to measure the depth of a sinus tract that could be observed with naked eyes with the help of a pair of hemostatic forceps. Five minutes later, a probe was inserted deeply into the sinus tract to measure the depth under the endoscopic view combined with touch from the probe extremity in operation. Afterwards, the sinus tract was observed with endoscope, and the depth of the tract which could be observed under the endoscopic view was measured using a probe inserted deeply into the sinus tract. After completion of the above exploration, the sinus tract was infused with contrast agent Omnipaque 350 and scanned by computed tomography (CT) later to obtain its depth. The following indicators were calculated: the ratio of the depth of the sinus tract measured by CT to the diameter of the opening of the sinus tract (hereinafter referred to as the depth/diameter ratio of the sinus tract), the deviation rate comparing the depth of the sinus tract measured by conventional method (measured by probe only) and by endoscope (measured by probe under the endoscope view) with the depth of the sinus tract measured by CT (hereinafter referred to as the deviation rate of the measured depth of the sinus tract), the deviation rate comparing the depth of the sinus tract that could be observed measured by conventional method and by endoscope with the depth of the sinus tract measured by CT (hereinafter referred to as the deviation rate of the depth of the sinus tract that could be observed). Data were processed with paired t test. Pearson correlation analysis was applied to analyze the correlation between the depth/diameter ratio of the sinus tract and the deviation rate of the measured depth of the sinus tract and the deviation rate of the depth of the sinus tract that could be observed by conventional method and by endoscope. Results: The depth/diameter ratio of the sinus tract of this group of wounds was 1-32 (8±7). The deviation rate of the measured depth of the sinus tract and the deviation rate of the depth of the sinus tract that could be observed by conventional method were (19±14)% and (79±18)%, respectively, both obviously larger than (9±9)% and (25±25)% by endoscope (t=3.837, 13.626, P<0.01). Positive correlation existed between the depth/diameter ratio of the sinus tract and the deviation rate of the measured depth of the sinus tract by conventional method, and between the depth/diameter ratio of the sinus tract and the deviation rate of the depth of the sinus tract that could be observed by conventional method and by endoscope (r=0.514, 0.585, 0.651, P<0.01). However, there was no obvious correlation between the depth/diameter ratio of the sinus tract and the deviation rate of the measured depth of the sinus tract by endoscope (r=0.113, P>0.05). Conclusions: Compared with the conventional method, application of endoscope is able to get more accurate data of chronic wounds with sinus tracts and observe the wounds with wider range.

Abstract
Gliomas are the most common central nervous system tumors. They show malignant characteristics indicating rapid proliferation and a high invasive capacity and are associated with a poor prognosis. In our previous study, p68 was overexpressed in glioma cells and correlated with both the degree of glioma differentiation and poor overall survival. Downregulating p68 significantly suppressed proliferation in glioma cells. Moreover, we found that the p68 gene promoted glioma cell growth by activating the nuclear factor‐κB signaling pathway by a downstream molecular mechanism that remains incompletely understood. In this study, we found that dual specificity phosphatase 5 (DUSP5) is a downstream target of p68, using microarray analysis, and that p68 negatively regulates DUSP5. Upregulating DUSP5 in stably expressing cell lines (U87 and LN‐229) suppressed proliferation, invasion, and migration in glioma cells in vitro, consistent with the downregulation of p68. Furthermore, upregulating DUSP5 inhibited ERK phosphorylation, whereas downregulating DUSP5 rescued the level of ERK phosphorylation, indicating that DUSP5 might negatively regulate ERK signaling. Additionally, we show that DUSP5 levels were lower in high‐grade glioma than in low‐grade glioma. These results suggest that the p68‐induced negative regulation of DUSP5 promoted invasion by glioma cells and mediated the activation of the ERK signaling pathway.

Abstract
The electron localization in Nb-doped CaMnO3 is analyzed in terms of the space and energy distribution of electronic states employing first-principles calculations. The energy difference of Mn 3d states and Nb 4d states makes NbO6 octahedra impede electrical conduction, so the random distribution of Nb in lattices leads to the localization of electrons near the bottom of the conduction bands. Therefore, although more carriers are introduced when Nb-doping content increases, both the electrical conductivity and absolute thermopower decrease in Nb heavy doped CaMnO3. The calculated transport properties agree well with the experimental data, supporting the analysis of localization.

Abstract
Transport paths and vertical exchange characteristics are important factors for understanding the long-term transport, dispersion capability for haze prediction. Many previous studies revealed that the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region, one of the major polluted areas in China, is largely affected by the long-range pollution transport. However, mostly of these studies focused on the source apportionment or horizontal transport path of pollutants by using short-term data, and the vertical exchange characteristics had been rarely analyzed. In this study, using HYSPLIT model, the transport paths and the vertical exchange characteristics of haze episodes over four sub-region of Guangdong (GD) Province in southern China of dry season and wet season were analyzed by using 10years data from 2005 to 2014. Three major transport paths can be statistically summarized based on the long-term data. The haze episodes in PRD and North-GD were distinguished by the characteristics of high frequency and long duration, while the West-GD and East-GD are relatively clean. The haze over North-GD and PRD were mainly influenced by the airflows from northern path, which could bring the pollution from Jiangxi, Anhui, and also influenced by the airflows from coastal path, which could bring the pollution of eastern coastal from Zhejiang and Fujian to Guangdong, while regional transport contributions from Guangdong province and adjacent areas can also be clearly observed. The haze pollution from the identified two major transport paths were mainly transported within the mixing layer (>80% trajectories, <500m), whereas the probability of haze trajectories across mixing layer was relatively low and generally associated with much longer transport distance and higher terrain height over Western China. Combing the vertical exchange analysis, results also show that Wuyi Mountains and Nanling Mountains played a role as barrier to obstruct the haze airflows from other regions of China to the Guangdong province.

Abstract
Growth depends on an animal's capacity to digest and assimilate ingested nutrients, and insufficient supply and impairment will constrain lamb growth. Eight groups of Alpine Finewool lambs were harvested on 0, 3, 7, 14, 21, 28, 42, and 56 d to measure pH and enzymatic activities in the duodenum, proximal jejunum, middle jejunum, distal jejunum, and ileum mucosa or digesta. From the duodenum to the ileum the pH of intestinal mucosa and digesta increased, whereas pH changed very little with age. The trypsin, chymotrypsin, lipase, lactase, and α-amylase activities observed at birth decreased by d 3, followed by a nonuniform enzymatic response in the small intestine. The trypsin activity increased from d 3 to peak, at d 21, followed by a decline. Chymotrypsin activity followed the same general trend but with smaller responses in activities. Trypsin demonstrated greater enzymatic activity than chymotrypsin at the same age. The lipase activity of small intestinal mucosa and digesta changed little with age. The lactase activity was high at birth, decreased by d 3, and then increased, followed by a decrease as lambs approached weaning. α-Amylase activity was similar in the small intestinal mucosa and digesta at birth but increased with age for the duodenum and proximal jejunum. Plasma concentrations of cholecystokinin (CCK), secretin, and gastrin were positively correlated ( < 0.05) with ileal mucosa lipase activity. Plasma concentration of CCK, secretin, gastrin, and gastric inhibitory polypeptide (GIP) were positively correlated ( < 0.05) with ileal mucosa lactase activity. Plasma concentration of pancreatic polypeptide (PP) was negatively correlated ( < 0.05) with lactase activity in the middle jejunum and ileal mucosa. Plasma concentrations of CCK, secretin, gastrin, and GIP were positively correlated ( < 0.05) with α-amylase activity in the ileal mucosa but negatively correlated ( < 0.05) with duodenum, prejejunum, and middle jejunum. Plasma PP concentrations were positively correlated ( < 0.01) with α-amylase activity of duodenum, middle jejunum, and postjejunum mucosa but not with the enzyme activity of postjejunum and ileal mucosa ( > 0.05). Small intestinal enzymatic activities exist and may be sufficient to enhance lamb growth via appropriate nutrient supplementation.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To explore the application value and forensic significance of ischemia modified albumin (IMA) in pericardial fluid to diagnose sudden cardiac death. METHODS IMA level in pericardial fluid was detected in acute ischemic heart disease group (n=36), acute myocardial infarction group (n=6), cardiomyopathy group (n=4) and control group (n=15) by albumin cobalt binding method. The levels of IMA were compared among these groups. The best cut-off IMA value was estimated and the sensitivity and specificity of acute myocardial ischemia group was distinguished from control group by receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curve. RESULTS The IMA level in acute ischemic heart disease group was significantly higher than that of control group (P<0.05). Compared with acute myocardial infarction group and cardiomyopathy group, the IMA level in acute ischemic heart disease group had no significant difference (P>0.05). The cut-off value for the identification of acute myocardial ischemia which obtained by ROC analysis was 40.65 U/mL. And the sensitivity and specificity for distinguishing acute ischemia cardiac disease was 60.0% and 80.5%, respectively. CONCLUSIONS The IMA value in pericardial fluid can be a reference marker for the diagnosis of acute myocardial ischemia, which also can provide objective basis for the forensic identification of sudden cardiac death.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To observe the protein expression patterns of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-2 and MMP-9 in the liver tissue of liver contusion rats at different time after impact. METHODS Fifty healthy adult male SD rats were randomly and evenly divided into control group and experimental groups (1 h, 3 h, 6 h, 12 h, 18 h, 24 h, 3 d, 5 d, 7 d after liver contusion). A rat liver contusion model was established by a free-falling device. The rats were killed at corresponding time, and the contused hepatic lobes were extracted. The protein expressions of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in contused liver tissue of the rats in each group were observed by immunohistochemical staining (SP method) and Western blotting. RESULTS After the liver contusion, the expression of positive cell and the protein semiquantitative result showed that the protein expression of MMP-2 enhanced at 6 h and peaked at 24 h, then decreased gradually at 3-5 d, and returned to normal levels at 7 d. The difference of expression between group and its previous adjacent group after 6 h (except 18 h) had statistical significance (P<0.05). The protein expression of MMP-9 rose obviously at 1 h after liver contusion and peaked at 18 h, then decreased gradually at 3-7 d which still higher than control group. The expression difference between group and its previous adjacent group (except 12 h and 24 h) had statistical significance (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS The protein expressions of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in contused liver tissue after impact show good time-dependent patterns, which may provide important reference indicators for the time estimation of liver contusion.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the significance of Twist2 in glioma and whether it is involved in the malignant transformation of glioma by epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). Methods: Using immunohistochemical method detected the expression level of Twist2 in 60 cases of gliomas (including WHO grades Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ, each for 20 cases) and 20 cases of non-tumor brain tissues. Real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR and Western blot were used to detect the expression level of Twist2 mRNA and protein in 61 cases of fresh glioma tissue (WHO grade Ⅱ 16 cases, Ⅲ 21 cases, Ⅳ 24 cases) and 12 cases of adjacent tissues, and the expression levels of E-cadherin, N-cadherin and vimentin were also investigated in fresh glioma tissue. Results: Immunohistochemistry results showed that the percentages of Twist2 expression in glioma was 90%(54/60) compared with 30%(6/20) in non-tumor brain tissues(P<0.01). The percentages of Twist2 expression were 75% (15/20), 95% (19/20), and 100% (20/20) in the WHO gradesⅡ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ gliomas, respectively. WHO grades Ⅳ and Ⅲ were significantly higher than that of WHO grade Ⅱ (P<0.01). There was no significant difference between WHO grade Ⅳand WHO Ⅲ glioma (P>0.05). Real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR and Western blot showed that the expression level of Twist 2 in gliomas was significantly higher than that in para-cancerous tissues (P<0.01), and those in WHO grades Ⅳ and Ⅲ gliomas were significantly higher than that in WHO grade Ⅱ glioma (P<0.01). There was no significant difference between WHO grade Ⅳand grade Ⅲ glioma (P>0.05). Detection of key protein expression in EMT by Western blot displayed that the expression of E-cadherin was negatively associated with Twist2 in glioma (r=-0.972, P<0.01). The expression of N-cadherin and vimentin was positively associated with Twist2 in glioma(r=0.971, P<0.01; r=0.968, P<0.01). Conclusions: The expression of Twist2 in human glioma is positively correlated with the malignant grade of glioma, which may be involved in the malignant progression of glioma by EMT.

Abstract
Here the transcriptome and differential gene expression in the adult brain and gonads of the Chinese sea perch Lateolabrax maculatus were reported. A total of 78 256 909 clean reads were generated from the adult brain, ovary and testis by using the Illumina HiSeq2000 platform and assembled into 274 909 contigs. A total of 31 683 unigenes were annotated based on sequence similarity and 20 702 unigenes were found to exhibit 8237 gene ontology terms and 3888 signal pathways. Transcripts of 26 623 unigenes were present in all of the tissues, whereas pairwise comparisons revealed that 671/367, 496/315 and 1668/580 unigenes were up-down regulated by at least two-fold between the brain and ovary, ovary and testis and brain and testis, respectively. Homology search led to the identification of reproduction-associated genes of the brain-gonad axis, including those involved in sex differentiation and maintenance. The data provided an integrated and comprehensive transcriptome resource for L. maculatus, which could be used for further research on hypothalamus-pituitary-gonad axis gene function, reproduction regulation and sex-biased gene expression.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to investigate the usefulness of high-resolution ultrasonography for the diagnosis of polyneuropathy in diabetes mellitus patients by the examination of the ulnar nerves. METHOD We recruited 100 healthy age-matched volunteers (50 women and 50 men) with 200 arms without diabetes or cubital tunnel syndrome as the control group. We assessed the upper limbs of 100 diabetes mellitus patients (45 women and 55 men), 40 of whom had electrophysiologically confirmed diabetic peripheral neuropathy and 60 had no diabetic peripheral neuropathy in the upper limbs. Age, sex, height and weight were recorded and the cross-sectional area of the ulnar nerve was measured at every predetermined site. RESULTS The cross-sectional area of the ulnar nerve was measured at six sites (mid-humerus, inlet of the cubital tunnel, outlet of the cubital tunnel, upon the medial epicondyle, 6 cm upon the wrist crease and Guyon tunnel). The ulnar nerve in two measuring sites (mid-humerus, upon the medial epicondyle) in the control group showed a statistical difference between men and women (p < 0.05). There was no statistical difference in the cross-sectional area in the control group when dominant and non-dominant arms were compared. The cross-sectional area was larger in the diabetic peripheral neuropathy group in three sites (inlet of the cubital tunnel, outlet of the cubital tunnel, Guyon tunnel) compared with those in the control group. CONCLUSION High-resolution ultrasonography may be helpful in the early diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy in diabetic patients.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the percutaneously looped thread transection for treatment of stenosing tenosynovitis and evaluate its treatment outcome. Methods: From January 2014 to October 2016, Eighty-four patients with stenosing tenosynovitis were randomly divided into the open decompressionand group (42 cases) and percutaneously looped thread transection group (42 cases) in Department of Orthopedics, Affiliated Laiwu Hospital of Taishan Medical College. Incision near the digit horizontal stripes, tendon sheath were cut off in the open decompressionand group. Percutaneously looped thread transection was under the guidance of ultrasound, threading from the deep and shallow transverse tendon sheath, respectively, forming loops to cut off and decompressed the flexor tendon. Visual analog scale(VAS) was used to evaluate the extent of pain before the operation and 1 or 4 weeks after the operation, the comprehensive curative effect were evaluated 3 months after the operation. Results: In the two groups pain was alleviated. The VAS improved from (7.0±1.3)prior operation to(5.2±1.6) and (2.8±1.1)1 week and 4 weeks after the operation in the open decompressionand group , respectively. The difference before and after the operation was significant(P<0.05). The VAS improved from (7.1±1.4) prior operation to(2.7±1.3) and (0.6±0.2)1 week and 4 weeks after the operation in the percutaneously looped thread transection group, respectively. The difference before and after the operation was significant(P<0.05). The difference of VAS scores between two groups at 1 week and 4 weeks after the operation were different(P<0.05). The difference of the comprehensive curative effect between two groups at 3 months after the operation were not different(P>0.05). There were no infection, poor healing, blood vessel and nerve damage after operation in both two groups. Conclusion: Percutaneously looped thread transaction under ultrasound for the surgical treatment of stenosing tenosynovitis has less trauma and rapid recovery. It has such advantage as being effective, simple , and reach the same effects as the open decompression surgery.
