Abstract
OBJECTIVE Myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) is common in myocardial infarction and is the leading cause of death. Therefore, we investigated the effect of miR-486 on myocardial IRI to explore new targets for clinical treatment of IRI. MATERIALS AND METHODS We made a rat myocardial IRI model by obstructing the coronary arteries and detected the change of miR-486 expression in rat myocardial tissue. In addition, we induced injury of rat cardiomyocytes (H9c2 cells) by hypoxia/reoxygenation and transfected H9c2 cells with agomir-miR-486 and antagomir-miR-486 to detect the effects of miR-486 on the viability, inflammation and apoptosis of cardiomyocytes. We also used the Targetscan system to predict the direct target of miR-486 and verified the effect of miR-486 on downstream targets through the Dual-Luciferase reporter assay. RESULTS HE staining and the detection of myocardial injury markers and inflammatory factors verified the effectiveness of IRI rat model. The expression of miR-486 in myocardium of IRI rats was significantly lower than that of the control group. The overexpression of miR-486 in H9c2 cells increased the viability of H9c2 cells and reduced the levels of inflammation and apoptosis. MiR-486 is predicted to have a potential binding site to forkhead box D3 (FOXD3). The Dual-Luciferase reporter assay proved that miR-486 can bind and degrade FOXD3 mRNA. In addition, the overexpression of FOXD3 was found to attenuate the protective effect of miR-486 on H9c2 cells. CONCLUSIONS MiR-486 protects cardiomyocytes and reduces the levels of inflammation and apoptosis by binding and inhibiting FOXD3 activity. Therefore, miR-486 may become a new target for myocardial IRI therapy.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Selenium plays an indispensable role in antioxidant and antiinflammation processes. Oxidative stress and inflammation have been hypothesized to be involved in the pathogenesis of cartilage degeneration. We sought to examine the association between plasma selenium levels and the prevalence of radiographic osteoarthritis (ROA). DESIGN A population-based cross-sectional study. SETTING AND PARTICIPANTS Individuals aged ≥ 50 years were retrieved from the Xiangya Osteoarthritis (XO) Study, a community-based study conducted among the residents of the rural areas of China. METHODS Plasma selenium concentration was measured by inductively coupled plasma-dynamic reaction cell-mass spectrometry. ROA was defined as Kellgren/Lawrence score ≥ 2 in at least one knee, hip or hand joint. The association between plasma selenium levels and ROA was evaluated by applying logistic and spline regression. RESULTS A total of 1,032 subjects (women: 52.5%; mean age: 63.1 years; ROA prevalence: 45.4%) were included. Compared with the highest tertile, the odds ratios (ORs) for ROA were 1.24 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.91 to 1.68) and 1.77 (95% CI: 1.31 to 2.40) in the middle and lowest tertile of plasma selenium, respectively (P for trend<0.05). The results were not changed materially with adjustment of potential confounders. In addition, subjects who had lower plasma selenium levels exhibited a higher prevalence of ROA in a dose-response relationship manner (P=0.005). CONCLUSION This study suggests that subjects with lower levels of plasma selenium exhibited a higher prevalence of ROA in a dose-response relationship manner. However, additional studies are still needed to verify the potential causal relationship.

Abstract
Hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) is a category B infectious disease caused by hantaviruses that cause acute kidney injury and has a high mortality rate, and HFRS control has been given a high priority in China. It has been found that hantavirus types are closely associated with selective host transformation and regional adaption, and continue to evolve in the form of gene recombination. The severity of HFRS varies in hantavirus types. In addition, global environmental changes and alteration of host animal behaviors accelerate Hantavirus genome variations, and large-scale land reclamation and infrastructure building increases the likelihood of human contacts with hosts and disease-transmitting vectors, thereby increasing the risk of HFRS development. This review summarizes the main characteristics and influencing factors pertaining to the epidemic process of HFRS, so as to provide insights into effective prevention and control of this infectious disease.

Abstract
Objective: To study the real-world outcome of China FDA-approved Sofosbuvir (SOF)/Velpatasvir (VEL) in Northwest China. Methods: In this multicenter, prospective, real-world cohort study, we recruited patients from 10 sites from Northwest China, who were chronically infected with HCV GTs 1-6 from 06/2018 to 09/2019. Patients received SOF (400mg)/VEL (100mg) for 12 weeks, and with ribavirin 900-1200 mg for GT3 cirrhosis and for any genotype decompensated cirrhosis. The primary endpoint was sustained virological response at 12-weeks post-treatment (SVR12) and safety. The secondary endpoint was the change of liver function after the achievement of SVR12. Results: Totally, 143 patients were enrolled in the study, four patients were lost to follow-up and one died during the follow-up, 138 patients were included in per-protocol analysis. Of the 138 patients, the mean age 53 years, 53.6% male, 94.2% Han nationality, 53.6% liver cirrhosis, 10.1% HBsAg(+), 6.5% renal dysfunction, 5.1% treatment-experienced, and 16.7% patients received ribavirin treatment. The genotype distribution was as follows: 35.5% GT1, 42.8% GT2, 15.9% GT3, and 5.8% un-typed. The SVR12 rate was 96.5% (138/143, 95%CI: 93.5%-99.6%) for intention-to-treat analysis, and in per-protocol analysis, all 138 patients obtained SVR12 (100%). Compared with baseline, the serum total bilirubin, ALT and AFP levels decreased (all P < 0.05), as well as increased ALB and platelet count (all P < 0.001) at post-treatment 12-weeks. Overall adverse events (AEs) rate is 29.0%, and the most common AEs were anemia (14.5%) and fatigue (8.0%). Severe side effects (edema and fatigue) occurred in 2 patients, one of whom needed a short-term interruption of treatment due to fatigue. Conclusion: In this real-world cohort study, 12-week SOF/VEL regimen with or without ribavirin achieved high SVR12 rates (96.5%-100% overall) with excellent safety profile among patients with HCV GT1/2/3 infection including patients with GT3 and cirrhosis, and led to improvement of liver function.

Abstract
The recurrence of osteosarcoma (OS) after reconstruction using Ti6Al4V prostheses remains a major problem in the surgical treatment of OS. Modification of the surfaces of Ti6Al4V prostheses with antitumor functions is an important strategy for improving therapeutic outcomes. Magnesium (Mg) coating has been shown to be multifunctional: it exhibits osteogenic and angiogenic properties and the potential to inhibit OS. In this study, we determined the proper concentration of released Mg2+ with respect to OS inhibition and biosafety and evaluated the anti-OS effects of Mg-coated Ti6Al4V scaffolds. We found that the release of Mg2+ during short-term and long-term degradation could significantly inhibit the proliferation and migration of HOS and 143B cells. Increased cell apoptosis and excessive autophagy were also observed, and further evidence of AMPK/mTOR/ULK1 signaling pathway activation was obtained both in vitro and in vivo, which suggested that the biofunctional scaffolds induce OS inhibition. Our study demonstrates the ability of an Mg coating to inhibit OS and may contribute to the further application of Mg-coated Ti6Al4V prostheses. Multifunctional Mg coating is considerable surface modification for Ti6Al4V prostheses. Mg2+ releasing by the scaffolds could significantly inhibit the proliferation and migration of OS cells. The biofunctional scaffolds could inhibit OS by activating autophagy-dependent apoptosis. The AMPK/mTOR/ULK-1 pathway was involved in autophagy-depended apoptosis induced by the scaffolds.

Abstract
Simple Summary Understanding species and genetic correlations (SGDCs) is essential to establish community composition. In this study, 295 observations from 39 studies explored the SGDCs and the underlying drivers through conducting a global meta-analysis. A positive correlation was found, suggesting that parallel processes (environmental heterogeneity, area, and connectivity etc.) have effects on two diversities. As current biodiversity hotspots have mainly been identified based on high species diversity and high endemism of taxon, the understanding of SGDC will substantially help us to determine whether and how genetic diversity can be used in identifying biodiversity hotspots, as well as in developing conservation practices and policies for biodiversity. Abstract Species diversity (SD) and genetic diversity (GD) are the two basic levels of biodiversity. In general, according to the consensus view, the parallel effects of environmental heterogeneity, area, and connectivity on two levels, can drive a positive correlation between GD and SD. Conversely, a negative correlation or no correlation would be expected if these effects are not parallel. Our understanding of the relationships between SD and GD among different ecosystems, sampling methods, species, and under climate change remains incomplete. In the present study, we conducted a hierarchical meta-analysis based on 295 observations from 39 studies and found a positive correlation between genetic diversity and species diversity (95% confidence interval, 7.6–22.64%). However, significant relationships were not found in some ecosystems when we conducted species–genetic diversity correlation analysis based on a single ecosystem. Moreover, the magnitudes of the correlations generally decreased with the number of sampling units and the annual average the temperature of sampling units. Our results highlight the positive correlation between GD and SD, thereby indicating that protecting SD involves protecting GD in conservation practice. Furthermore, our results also suggest that global increases in temperature during the 21st century will have significant impacts on global biodiversity.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the association of hyperuricemia with the risk for chronic kidney disease (CKD) in community adults. Methods: A community-based follow-up study comprising of 7 276 adults aged 20-74 years who attended the natural population cohort in Eastern China and had no CKD at baseline survey was performed in the Songjiang district, Shanghai. CKD was diagnosed according to the National Kidney Foundation Practice Guidelines for Chronic Kidney Disease criteria. Hyperuricemia was defined as serum uric acid level >420 μmol/L for men and >360 μmol/L for women. Cox proportional hazards model was used to examine the association of hyperuricemia with the risk for CKD. Results: During a median follow-up period of 2.65 year, 301 participants were newly diagnosed with CKD. The cumulative incidence rate and incidence density of CKD were 4.14%, and 16.01/1 000 person-years (95%CI: 14.20-17.82), respectively. A higher prevalence of hyperuricemia was observed in subjects with CKD compared with those without CKD. Multivariate Cox regression model analysis showed that hyperuricemia was associated with the increased risk for CKD, with an adjusted HR of 1.92 (95%CI: 1.46-2.53). Their positive associations remained in almost all the subgroups, including sex, age (<60, ≥60 years), BMI (<25.0, ≥25.0 kg/m2), type 2 diabetes, and hypertension. A significant synergistic effect of the interaction between age and hyperuricemia on CKD was found, and the synergy index was 1.78 (95%CI: 1.18-2.68). Conclusion: The incidence of CKD in adults in Songjiang district was relatively high. Hyperuricemia is an independent risk factor for the development of CKD.

Abstract
Abstract
BACKGROUND
Cognitive deficit was frequently observed in glioma patients, especially for those on the eloquent area. Considering the increased life expectancy, brain mapping during awake craniotomy was preferentially applied to exacerbate neurocognitive deficits. The aim of the current study was to evaluate the neurocognitive changes during the perioperative period of resection of low-grade glioma (LGG) in the left side eloquent area with awake craniotomy in a major neurosurgical center in China for 5 years.
MATERIAL AND METHODS
We retrospectively analyzed patients with left-sided glioma in eloquent areas, who received awake craniotomy during 2016–2020. Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale, BN-20, and EORTC-QLQ-C30 questionnaire were applied for neurological cognitive assessment. We performed a correlation analysis between changes in cognitive performance and tumor characteristics, including tumor location, pathological grade. Treatment-related factors were also analyzed, such as the extent of resection (EOR), preoperative and postoperative Karnofsky Performance Score (KPS), postoperative treatment strategy (chemo- and radiotherapy), progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS).
RESULTS
68 patients were included in our current study. For the language domain, memory domain, and executive functions, 7.4% (5/68) patients presented mild postoperative cognitive performance deterioration compared to preoperative. Tumor location was the only factor that greatly influenced the postoperative cognitive performance, while other features (EOR, KPS, pathological grades) and treatment strategy were found no effect on cognitive change. The extent of tumor resection ranged from 81% to 100%.
CONCLUSION
Our study underlines the importance of the application of brain mapping during awake craniotomy, which helps to maximize extent of tumor resection while preserving cognitive function in individuals with LGG in eloquent regions.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the clinical effect of oral contraceptive (OC) pretreatment on the outcome of gonadotropin releasing hormone antagonist (GnRH-a) protocol in patients with non-polycystic ovary syndrome. Methods: From January 2017 to May 2019, a total of 436 patients undergoing in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer/Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (IVF-ET/ICSI) treatment in Peking University First Hospital reproductive center clinic were included in this retrospective cohort study. A total of 144 patients (147 cycles) used OC pretreatment prior to GnRH-a protocol and 292 patients (306 cycles) used GnRH-a protocol without OC pretreatment. The drug usage as well as pregnant outcomes between groups were examined. The primary outcome was the cumulative clinical pregnancy rate of oocyte retrieval cycle and the secondary outcome included the number of oocytes, MⅡ oocytes, embryos and clinical pregnancy rate of fresh embryo transfer cycle. Results: The median ages (and Q1, Q3) of OC pretreatment group and non-OC group were 33 (30,36) and 34 (30,38) years old, respectively. The number of MⅡ oocytes was higher in OC pretreatment group (7/9) than in non-OC group (6/8) (P=0.002). The significant difference were not found in the cumulative clinical pregnancy rate of each oocyte retrieval cycle (61.7% vs 54.6%), the clinical pregnancy rate of fresh embryo transfer cycle (34.4% vs 35.6%), and the number of oocytes (9 vs 8) and embryos (6 vs 6) between groups. Conclusion: Our findings suggest that compared to non-OC pretreatment group, pretreatment with OC is associated with more MⅡ oocytes, and with an increasing trend of the cumulative clinical pregnancy rate in non-polycystic ovary syndrome patients undergoing fresh IVF-ET/ICSI.

Abstract
The bones of chicken play an important role in supporting and protecting the body. The growth and development of bones have a substantial influence on the health and production performance in chickens. However, genetic architecture underlying chicken bone traits is not well understood. The objectives of this study are to dissect the genetic basis of bone traits in chickens and to identify valuable genes and genetic markers for chicken breeding. We performed a combination of genome-wide association study (GWAS) and selection signature analysis (fixation index values and nucleotide diversity ratios) in an F2 crossbred experimental population with different genetic backgrounds (broiler × layer) to identify candidate genes and significant variants related to femur, shank, keel length, chest width, metatarsal claw weight, metatarsal length, and metatarsal circumference. A total of 545 individuals were genotyped based on the whole genome re-sequencing method (26 F0 individuals were re-sequenced at 10 × coverage; 519 F2 individuals were re-sequenced at 3 × coverage). A total of 2 028 112 single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) remained to carry out analysis after quality control and imputation. The integration of GWAS and selection signature analysis indicated that all significant SNPs responsible for bone traits were mainly localized on chicken chromosomes 1, 4, and 27. Finally, we identified 21 positional candidate genes that might regulate chicken bone growth and development, including LRCH1, RB1, FNDC3A, MLNR, CAB39L, FOXO1, LHFP, TRPC4, POSTN, SMAD9, RBPJ, PPARGC1A, SLIT2, NCAPG, NKX3-2, CPZ, SPOP, NGFR, SOST, ZNF652, and HOXB3. Additionally, an array of uncharacterized genes was identified. The findings provide an in-depth understanding of the genetic architecture of chicken bone traits and offer a molecular basis for applying genomics in practical chicken breeding.

Abstract
CCAAT enhancer binding protein ζ (C/EBPζ) plays an important role in adipose proliferation and differentiation in humans. However, very little is known about the effect of C/EBPζ on the growth and development of adipose tissues in domesticated animals. The present study attempted to investigate the mRNA expression profiles of chicken C/EBPζ in a variety of tissues; analyze the association of its variants with abdominal fat; and identify the functional variants for abdominal fat. The tissue expression profiles revealed that C/EBPζ was highly expressed in 19 tissues obtained from broilers. The expression level of C/EBPζ in fat broilers was significantly lower than that in lean broilers in the duodenum, ileum, cecum, kidney, pectoral muscle, and liver (P < 0.05). Among 170 polymorphic loci of C/EBPζ, 9 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) demonstrated a significant association with chicken abdominal fat traits (P < 0.05) as well as significant discrepancies in their allelic frequencies between fat and lean birds. Particularly, only C/EBPζ g.7085A>C exhibited significant correlation with abdominal fat traits (P < 0.00015) using the Bonferroni method. The results revealed that, in preadipocyte immortalized cells (ICPI), the luciferase activity of the A allele of g.7085A>C locus was remarkably stronger than that of the C allele (P < 0.05). In silico analysis showed that g.7085A>C locus was located in the binding region of the transcription factor SOX5, which possesses the ability to transform C/EBPζ transcription efficiency through binding with SOX5. In summary, the data obtained from this study suggested that C/EBPζ is a potential candidate gene responsible for abdominal fat deposition in chicken and that g.7085A>C is a functional SNP that can be promisingly leveraged for marker assisted selection (MAS) in future chicken breeding programs.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE A prediction of the number of patients with conjunctivitis plays an important role in providing adequate treatment at the hospital, but such accurate predictive model currently does not exist. The current study sought to use machine learning (ML) prediction based on past patient for conjunctivitis and several air pollutants. The optimal machine learning prediction model was selected to predict conjunctivitis-related number patients. PATIENTS AND METHODS The average daily air pollutants concentrations (CO, O3, NO2, SO2, PM10, PM2.5) and weather data (highest and lowest temperature) were collected. Data were randomly divided into training dataset and test dataset, and normalized mean square error (NMSE) was calculated by 10 fold cross validation, comparing between the ability of seven ML methods to predict the number of patients due to conjunctivitis (Lasso penalized linear model, Decision tree, Boosting regression, Bagging regression, Random forest, Support vector, and Neural network). According to the accuracy of impact prediction, the important air and weather factors that affect conjunctivitis were identified. RESULTS A total of 84,977 cases to treat conjunctivitis were obtained from the ophthalmology center of the Affiliated Hospital of Hangzhou Normal University. For all patients together, the NMSE of the different methods were as follows: Lasso penalized linear regression: 0.755, Decision tree: 0.710, Boosting regression: 0.616, Bagging regression: 0.615, Random forest: 0.392, Support vectors: 0.688, and Neural network: 0.476. Further analyses, stratified by gender and age at diagnosis, supported Random forest as being superior to others ML methods. The main factors affecting conjunctivitis were: O3, NO2, SO2 and air temperature. CONCLUSIONS Machine learning algorithm can predict the number of patients due to conjunctivitis, among which, the Random forest algorithm had the highest accuracy. Machine learning algorithm could provide accurate information for hospitals dealing with conjunctivitis caused by air factors.

Abstract
Objective: To understanding tobacco dependence and its influencing factors among smokers aged 40 or older in China and provide scientific data for the implementation of smoking cessation intervention. Methods: The data of this study were collected from 125 surveillance sites in 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) surveillance in China (2014 and 2015). The relevant variables of smoking status and tobacco dependence among people aged 40 or older were collected by face-to-face interview. The weighted proportion of tobacco dependence and its 95%CI and influencing factors among current smokers and daily smokers aged 40 or older in China were estimated with complex sampling weights. Results: A total of 22 380 current smokers and 19 999 daily smokers were included in the analysis. The proportion of high tobacco dependence of current smokers aged 40 or older was 31.1% (29.3%-32.9%). The proportion of high tobacco dependence was higher in men than in women, and higher in rural smokers than urban smokers. The proportion was 33.3% (31.3%-35.2%) in 40 to 59 years old smokers, which was higher than older age group. The proportion of high tobacco dependence among daily smokers aged 40 or older was 35.0% (33.0%-37.0%), and was 35.8% (33.8%-37.8%) in men and 22.0% (16.8%-27.2%) in women. Among current smokers and daily smokers, with the decrease of education level, the proportion of high tobacco dependence increased. The proportion of high tobacco dependence of smokers who started smoking before 18 years old was significantly higher than those who started smoking after 18 years old. The ratio of high tobacco dependence of smokers with chronic respiratory symptoms was higher than that of asymptomatic smokers. There was no significant difference in the tobacco dependence between patients with chronic diseases or chronic respiratory diseases and non patients (P>0.05). Smokers with diabetes, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and hypertension had a slightly lower proportion of high tobacco dependence than smokers without above diseases (P<0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that men, central and eastern regions, 40-59 age group, engaged in agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, fishery industry, water conservancy, manufacture, transportation and commercial services occupation, low education level and smoking onset age less than 18 years old had a high risk of high tobacco dependence. Conclusions: The proportion of high tobacco dependence among current smokers aged 40 or older is high in China, so there is a huge demand for smoking cessation interventions. Effective measures should be taken to promote smoking cessation intervention in China.

Abstract
Regional warming and atmospheric ozone (O3 ) pollution are two of the most important environmental issues, and commonly coexist in many areas. Both factors have an intense impact on plants. However, little information is available on the combined and interactive effects of air warming and elevated O3 concentrations on physiological characteristics of plants. To explore this issue, we studied variations in growth, photosynthesis and physiological characteristics of leaves of Acer ginnala seedlings exposed to control (ambient temperature and O3 ), increasing air temperature (ambient temperature + 2 °C), elevated O3 (ambient O3 concentration + 40 ppb) and a combination of the two abiotic factors at different phenological stages by using open-top chambers. The results showed that increasing air temperature had no significant effect on growth, but increased photosynthesis and antioxidant enzyme activity at the leaf unfolding and defoliation stages. In contrast, elevated O3 decreased growth and photosynthesis and caused oxidative stress injury in A. ginnala leaves at each phenological stage. The combination of increasing air temperature and elevated O3 improved growth and net photosynthetic rates of tested plants and alleviated the oxidative stress compared to O3 alone. Our findings demonstrated that moderate warming was beneficial to A. ginnala at leaf unfolding and defoliation stages, and alleviated the adverse effects of O3 stress on growth, photosynthesis and the antioxidant system. These results will provide a theoretical reference and scientific basis for the adaptation and response of A. ginnala under regional air warming and atmospheric O3 pollution.

Abstract
A new α-emitting isotope ^{214}U, produced by the fusion-evaporation reaction ^{182}W(^{36}Ar,4n)^{214}U, was identified by employing the gas-filled recoil separator SHANS and the recoil-α correlation technique. More precise α-decay properties of even-even nuclei ^{216,218}U were also measured in the reactions of ^{40}Ar, ^{40}Ca beams with ^{180,182,184}W targets. By combining the experimental data, improved α-decay reduced widths δ^{2} for the even-even Po-Pu nuclei in the vicinity of the magic neutron number N=126 are deduced. Their systematic trends are discussed in terms of the N_{p}N_{n} scheme in order to study the influence of proton-neutron interaction on α decay in this region of nuclei. It is strikingly found that the reduced widths of ^{214,216}U are significantly enhanced by a factor of two as compared with the N_{p}N_{n} systematics for the 84≤Z≤90 and N<126 even-even nuclei. The abnormal enhancement is interpreted by the strong monopole interaction between the valence protons and neutrons occupying the π1f_{7/2} and ν1f_{5/2} spin-orbit partner orbits, which is supported by the large-scale shell model calculation.

Abstract
Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1) plays an important role in the regulation of cell growth, proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Previously several studies revealed that genotypes of chicken IGF1 c.-366A > C were significantly associated with abdominal fat weight and body weight in chickens. But the underlying mechanism is still unknown. To investigate the mechanism underlying the association, herein, we performed IGF1 gene mRNA expression profiling, a dual-luciferase reporter assay and electrophoretic mobility shift assay (EMSA). Quantitative real-time PCR results showed that IGF1 gene was widely expressed in 14 tissues. The mRNA expression levels of IGF1 gene in both abdominal fat and jejunum were significantly higher in fat broilers than in lean broilers. However, the opposite results were observed in the pancreas. The reporter gene assay showed that the promoter luciferase activity of allele A was significantly higher than that of allele C (P < 0.05). In addition, the luciferase activity of allele A promoted by the transcription factor AP1 and OCT1 was higher than that of allele C (P < 0.05). Electrophoretic mobility shift assay result showed that allele A binding to the transcription factor AP1 and OCT1 was stronger than that of allele C. All in all, our data indicated that the IGF1 gene c.-366A > C is a functional SNP responsible for chicken adipose deposition.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects and mechanism of miR-145-5p on hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R)-induced cardiac microvascular endothelial cell (CMEC) injury in coronary heart disease (CHD). PATIENTS AND METHODS Patients with CHD (n=96) and healthy volunteers (n=96) were enrolled, and H/R injury model of CMECs was established. The expression of miR-145-5p and mothers against decapentaplegic homolog 4 (Smad4) mRNA in cells was quantified with reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Then, miR-145-5p mimics and Smad4 inhibitor were transfected into CMECs. Cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) was employed for proliferation detection, flow cytometry for apoptosis detection, and Western Blot for measuring the expression of apoptosis-related proteins and Smad4 protein. RESULTS The expression of serum miR-145-5p in patients with CHD was significantly lower than that in healthy individuals. The area under the curve (AUC) of miR-145-5p in diagnosing CHD was 0.894, and the expression of miR-145-5p was negatively correlated with that of Smad4 (p<0.05). Over-expression of miR-145-5p promoted the proliferation, inhibited the apoptosis, and reduced inflammatory responses and oxidative stress in H/R-injured CMECs. Moreover, miR-145-5p might negatively regulate the expression of Smad4 in CMECs. Dual-Luciferase reporter assay determined the targeting relation between miR-145-5p and Smad4. CONCLUSIONS MiR-145-5p is lowly expressed in patients with CHD, and its over-expression effectively alleviates H/R-induced CMEC injury by inhibiting Smad4.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the current status of lung cancer screening among residents in Urban Beijing Cancer Screening Program, 2014-2019. Methods: Based on an on-going cancer screening program launched by the National Urban Cancer Screening Program, residents aged 40 to 69 were recruited from 80 streets in six districts of Beijing (Dongcheng, Xicheng, Chaoyang, Haidian, Fengtai, and Shijingshan District) by using a cluster sampling method. Subjects who were evaluated as high-risk individuals by using the questionnaire received Low-Dose spiral Computed Tomography (LDCT) screening in designated hospitals. All participants were followed up annually using active and passive follow-up methods to obtain their health outcomes (diagnosed with lung cancer or not). The proportion of high-risk cases evaluated by using the questionnaire, clinical recall rate for receiving LDCT screening, the proportion of cases with positive pulmonary node, incidence rate, cumulative incidence rate, and the proportion of patients with stage 0 or Ⅰ were calculated. Cox proportional hazard regression model was used to estimate the hazard ratio (HR) and 95% confidence interval (95%CI) among individuals who experienced different screening scenarios. Results: A total of 88 044 residents with the age of (57.4±7.4) with completed high-risk assessment were included in the analysis. 23.14% of participants were evaluated as high-risk individuals by using the questionnaire. The clinical recall rate was 52.26% among the high-risk individuals. The positive rate of pulmonary node detected by LDCT was 10.99%. The incidence rate of lung cancer among males and females aged 40-69 years were 172.82/100 000 person-years and 133.52/100 000 person-years, respectively after 3 years follow-up. The incidence rates increased with age (Ptrend<0.001). The incidence rate of lung cancer among high-risk individuals was 259.22/100 000 person-years, with the HR (95%CI) about 2.27 (1.83-2.81) when compared with that among low-risk individuals. The incidence rate and cumulative incidence rate of lung cancer among individuals with positive pulmonary node detected by LDCT were 1 825.03/100 000 person-years and 4 615.38/100 000, respectively, with the HR (95%CI) about 13.80 (8.91-21.36) when compared with that among individuals with no or negative pulmonary node. The early diagnosis rate among individuals who received LDCT screening was 70.21%, which was higher than that among individuals with no LDCT screening (45.45%). Conclusion: Individuals with a high risk of lung cancer in Beijing have a better recall rate of receiving LDCT screening. Using LDCT screening among high-risk individuals is an effective strategy to detect lung cancer cases and improve the early detection rates of lung cancer in Beijing, China.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the feasibility of application of non-fasting dyslipidemia cutoff values in community population. Methods: Self-control study was used. 839 physical examinees (292 males and 547 females) were recruited in clinical laboratory of Guang'an men Hospital from January to October 2018. The median (interquartile range) of age was 60 (54, 66) years. Blood samples were collected before and at 4 h after a standard breakfast. Comparison of fasting and postprandial lipoprotein levels was performed using Paired-Samples T Test or Two-Related-Samples Wilcoxon. The changes of 4-hour postprandial blood lipid levels and the percentages of postprandial dyslipidemia according to different stratification of fasting dyslipidemia were performed using one-way ANOVA and χ2 test, respectively. Results: Compared with fasting, 4-hour postprandial total cholesterol (TC), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), non-high density lipoprotein cholesterol (non-HDL-C), apolipoprotein A1 (ApoA1) and apolipoprotein B (ApoB) decreased slightly, postprandial triglyceride (TG) increased by 0.72 mmol/L, and postprandial remnant-like lipoprotein cholesterol (RLP-C) increased by 0.27 mmol/L (t or Z values = 10.26,22.94,24.22,4.71,16.61,26.92,-23.58,-19.35, P<0.05, respectively). According to the non-fasting dyslipidemia cut-off values recommended by the European consensus, there were 10%, 16.6%, 10.1%, 12.3%, 30% and 34.9% of the population in the appropriate levels of fasting TC, LDL-C, HDL-C, non-HDL-C, TG and RLP-C distributed in elevated levels of postprandial, respectively. The changes of 4-hour postprandial TC, LDL-C, non-HDL-C and HDL-C increased with the elevation of fasting level (F=9.50,6.18,8.07,3.86,P<0.01), and the maximum changes of TC≤3.5%, LDL-C≤6.8%, non-HDL-C≤2.9%, HDL-C≤6.3%; the change of 4-hour postprandial TG increased slightly first and then decreased significantly (51.3% vs. 57.9% vs. 39.2%, F=19.05, P<0.01); the change of 4-hour postprandial RLP-C decreased (50.8% vs. 33.2%, F=10.40, P<0.01). The cut-off values of 4-hour postprandial dyslipidemia were TC ≥5.1 mmol/L, LDL-C ≥3.2 mmol/L, HDL-C ≤0.9 mmol/L, non-HDL-C ≥4.0 mmol/L and RLP-C ≥1.0 mmol/L. The cut-off values of borderline elevated and elevated TG levels were ≥2.2 mmol/L and ≥3.4 mmol/L, respectively. Conclusions: The cut-off values of postprandial dyslipidemia including TC, LDL-C, HDL-C, non-HDL-C and RLP-C were preliminarily established in community population, which could be applied to the routine lipid profile evaluation in the physical examination population. And it might be needed that postprandial TG was managed hierarchically according to different cut-off values.

Objective: At present, there are few studies focusing on the factors short-term complications after total gastrectomy in patients with advanced gastric cancer receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT). The purpose of this study is to provide a reference for clinical prevention of complications in these patients. Methods: A retrospective case-control study was conducted. Case inclusion criteria: (1) clinical stage II-III gastric cancer diagnosed by preoperative gastroscopy, pathology, abdominal CT, EUS or PET-CT; (2) evaluated suitable for NACT by MDT discussion; (3) no previous history of other malignant tumors and no concurrent tumor; (4) undergoing total gastrectomy+ D2 lymphadenectomy after NACT. Exclusion criteria: (1) age <18 or >80 years old; (2) severe concurrent diseases, and ASA classification>grade III; (3) stump gastric cancer or history of gastric surgery; (4) incomplete clinicopathological data. According to the above criteria, clinicopathological data of 140 advanced gastric cancer patients who underwent total gastrectomy after NACT in Chinese PLA General Hospital between June 2012 and June 2019 were collected, including 109 males and 31 females with mean age of (56.9±11.4) years and body mass indey (BMI) of (23.3±3.1) kg/m(2). Logistic analysis was used to analyze the relationship between postoperative complication and clinicopathological data. Factors in univariate analysis with P<0.05 were included in the multivariate analysis. Results: Postoperative complications (Clavien-Dindo classification ≥ II) occurred in 35 cases (25.0%) and severe complications (Clavien-Dindo classification ≥ IIIa) occurred in 4 cases (2.9%), including 1 case of esophago-jejunal anastomotic leakage, 1 case of vena cava thrombosis, 1 case of pleural effusion, 1 case of septic shock during perioperative days resulting in death. Univariate analysis showed that BMI (P=0.011), cycle of NACT (P=0.027), tumor diameter (P=0.021), and vascular invasion (P=0.033) were associated with postoperative complication within 30 days, while open/laparoscopic total gastrectomy were not associated with postoperative complication (P=0.926). Multivariate analysis revealed that BMI ≥ 25 kg/m(2) (OR=3.294, 95% CI: 1.343-8.079, P=0.009) and < 4 cycles of NACT (OR=2.922, 95% CI: 1.217-7.016, P=0.016) were independent risk factors for postoperative complication. The 3-year overall survival rates of patients with or without complication were 54.4% and 64.0%, respectively (P=0.395), and 3-year disease-free survival rates were 47.4% and 52.9%, respectively (P=0.587). Conclusions: Higher BMI and fewer cycles of NACT are independent risk factors of postoperative complication in advanced gastric cancer patients undergoing total gastrectomy after NACT. No obvious association is found between postoperative complication and surgical approaches.

Abstract
A strain NQ1, which showed efficient asymmetric reduction of 3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl) acetophenone (BTAP) to enantiopure (S)-[3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]ethanol ((S)-BTPE), which is the key intermediate for the synthesis of a receptor antagonist and antidepressant, was isolated from a soil sample. Based on its morphological and internal transcribed spacer sequence, the strain NQ1 was identified to be Rhodotorula mucilaginosa NQ1. Some key reaction parameters involved in the bioreduction catalyzed by whole cells of R. mucilaginosa NQ1 were subsequently optimized, and the optimized conditions for the synthesis of (S)-BTPE were determined to be as follows: 5·0 ml phosphate buffer (200 mmol l-1 , pH 7·0), 80 mmol l-1 of BTAP, 250 g (wet weight) l-1 of resting cell, 35 g l-1 of glucose and a reaction for 18 h at 30°C and 180 rev min-1 . The strain NQ1 exhibited a best yield of 99% and an excellent enantiomeric excess of 99% for the preparation of (S)-BTPE under the above optimal conditions, and could also asymmetrically reduce a variety of bulky prochiral carbonyl compounds to their corresponding optical hydroxyl compound with excellent enantioselectivity. These results indicated that R. mucilaginosa NQ1 had a good capacity to reduce BTAP to its corresponding (S)-BTPE, and might be a new potential biocatalyst for the production of valuable chiral hydroxyl compounds in industry.

Abstract
Complete histopathologic tumor regression after neoadjuvant treatment is a well-known prognostic factor for survival among patients with adenocarcinomas of the esophagus and gastroesophageal junction. The aim of this international Delphi survey was to reach a consensus regarding the most useful tumor regression grading (TRG) system that could represent an international standard for histopathologic TRG grading of gastroesophageal carcinomas. Fifteen pathologists with special interest in esophageal and gastric pathology participated in the online survey. The initial questionnaire contained of 43 statements that addressed the following topics: (1) specimen processing, (2) gross examination, (3) cross sectioning, (4) staining, (5) Barrett's esophagus, (6) TRG systems, and (7) TRG in lymph node (LN). Participants rated the items using a 5-point Likert style scale and were encouraged to write comments for each statement. The expert panel recommended a 4-tiered TRG system for assessing the primary tumor: grade 1: No residual tumor (complete histopathologic tumor regression), grade 2: less than 10% residual tumor (near-complete regression), grade 3: 10%-50% residual tumor (partial regression), grade 4: greater than 50% residual tumor (minimal/no regression), combined with a 3-tiered system for grading therapeutic response in metastatic LNs: grade a: no residual tumor (complete histopathologic TRG), grade b: partial regression (tumor cells and regression), grade c: no regression (no sign of tumor response). This TRG grading system can be recommended as an international standard for histopathologic TRG grading in esophageal and gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma.

Abstract
Objective: To compare the economic characteristics of the four artificial liver models [plasma exchange, half-dose plasma exchange combined with double plasma adsorption (DPMAS), pre-equal amount of plasma exchange followed by DPMAS, and pre-DPMAS followed by equal amount of plasma exchange] in the treatment of liver failure. Methods: A decision tree model was established with the Treeage pro 2011 software. The cost-effectiveness ratio and incremental cost-effectiveness value of four different treatment modalities were calculated and compared in patients with liver failure at early, mid and late stages, respectively. The sensitivity analysis of the model was performed using data from the preliminary research results of these groups. Results: The cost-effectiveness ratio and incremental cost-effectiveness value of patients treated with artificial liver therapy with half-dose plasma exchange combined with DPAMS plan in early stage liver failure were 89 547.79 and 34 665.34, which was lower than per capita GDP, so the increased cost had cost-effective advantages. In the middle and late stage of liver failure, the cost-effectiveness ratio and incremental cost-effectiveness value of pre-DPMAS followed by equal plasma exchange plan was 122 865.5 and 284 334.97, and 70 744.55 and 75 299.48, respectively, which was less than three times of per capita GDP. The increased cost was acceptable and had economic advantages. The sensitivity analysis results showed that the basic analysis results were reliable. Conclusion: Half-dose plasma exchange combined with DPAMS plan is the most cost-effective treatment for early liver failure, while pre-DPMAS followed by equal plasma exchange plan is the most economical treatment for mid and late stage liver failure.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
Esophageal injury caused by cryoballoon-based PVI is common. Cryoablation guided by transoesophageal echocardiography (TEE) for occlusion of the pulmonary vein (PV) is safe and effective.
Objective
To investigate the protective effect of mechanical displacement of the esophagus by TEE probe in cryoablation of atiral fibrillation.
Methods
Fifty patients with paroxysmal AF (PAF) were enrolled in the present study. 25 patients underwent cryoablation without TEE (non-TEE group) and the other 25 underwent with TEE (TEE group) for PV occlusion guidance and displacement of the esophagus. In the TEE group during the procedure, TEE was used to guide the movement of the balloon to achieve PV occlusion. And before freezing, the probe of the TEE was moved to displace the esophagus away from the PV being freezed in order to reduce the risk of cryoinjury. All patients underwent esophagogastroscopy within 2 days of the procedure. The patients were followed up in our center at regularly scheduled visits every 2 months.
Results
There was no significant difference between the TEE group and non-TEE group in regard to the procedure time. The fluoroscopy time in the TEE group was less compared to the non-TEE group (4.1±3.3 min vs. 16.6±6.9 min, P<0.05), and the amount of contrast agent in the TEE group was less than the non-TEE group (4.7±5.7ml vs. 17.9±3.4 ml, P<0.05). The incidence of esophageal injury was significantly lower in TEE group compared with non-TEE group (0 vs. 20%, P<0.05). At a mean of 14.0 months follow-up, success rates were similar between the TEE group and non-TEE group (80.0% vs. 84.0%, P=0.80).
Conclusion
Cryoablation of AF with TEE for protecting the esophagus from cryoinjury is safe and effective. Lower risk of esophageal injury can be achieved with the help of TEE probe movement for mechanical displacement of the esophagus during freezing.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Metastasis is one of the main causes of leading recurrence and death in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). XRCC5 can affect several types of human cancers. The aim of the present study is to explore the metastasis correlation between the expression level of XRCC5 protein in HCC cell lines with different metastatic potentials and the prognosis of patients with HCC. MATERIALS AND METHODS Hepatocellular carcinoma cell lines used in this study include MHCC97-H, MHCC97-L, HepG2, and HL-7702. RESULTS XRCC5 was widely expressed in HCC cell lines analyzed by Real-Time Reverse Transcription PCR and Western blotting. The levels of XRCC5 protein and mRNA were positively correlated with the migration and invasion capability of HCC cell lines. SiRNA-XRCC5 significantly suppressed the migration and invasion of HCC cells. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) results showed that high-expressed XRCC5 in patients with HCC was associated with advanced tumors, size, and microvascular invasion and lower overall survival time than the low-expressed. The expression levels of CTNNB1 and MMP9 decreased by knocked down XRCC5 which may promote the progression of HCC via the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. CONCLUSIONS Our results suggest that the high expression of XRCC5 predicts poor prognosis in patients with HCC, and XRCC5 may be a potential biomarker to inhibit the invasion and migration of HCC.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To evaluate the feasibility of using deep-learning algorithms to classify as normal or abnormal sonographic images of the fetal brain obtained in standard axial planes. METHODS We included in the study images retrieved from a large hospital database from 10 251 normal and 2529 abnormal pregnancies. Abnormal cases were confirmed by neonatal ultrasound, follow-up examination or autopsy. After a series of pretraining data processing steps, 15 372 normal and 14 047 abnormal fetal brain images in standard axial planes were obtained. These were divided into training and test datasets (at case level rather than image level), at a ratio of approximately 8:2. The training data were used to train the algorithms for three purposes: performance of image segmentation along the fetal skull, classification of the image as normal or abnormal and localization of the lesion. The accuracy was then tested on the test datasets, with performance of segmentation being assessed using precision, recall and Dice's coefficient (DICE), calculated to measure the extent of overlap between human-labeled and machine-segmented regions. We assessed classification accuracy by calculating the sensitivity and specificity for abnormal images. Additionally, for 2491 abnormal images, we determined how well each lesion had been localized by overlaying heat maps created by an algorithm on the segmented ultrasound images; an expert judged these in terms of how satisfactory was the lesion localization by the algorithm, classifying this as having been done precisely, closely or irrelevantly. RESULTS Segmentation precision, recall and DICE were 97.9%, 90.9% and 94.1%, respectively. For classification, the overall accuracy was 96.3%. The sensitivity and specificity for identification of abnormal images were 96.9% and 95.9%, respectively, and the area under the receiver-operating-characteristics curve was 0.989 (95% CI, 0.986-0.991). The algorithms located lesions precisely in 61.6% (1535/2491) of the abnormal images, closely in 24.6% (614/2491) and irrelevantly in 13.7% (342/2491). CONCLUSIONS Deep-learning algorithms can be trained for segmentation and classification of normal and abnormal fetal brain ultrasound images in standard axial planes and can provide heat maps for lesion localization. This study lays the foundation for further research on the differential diagnosis of fetal intracranial abnormalities. Copyright © 2020 ISUOG. Published by John Wiley & Sons Ltd.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the current status of breast cancer screening among females in Urban Beijing Cancer Screening Program, 2014-2019. Methods: Based on an on-going cancer screening program launched by the National Urban Cancer Screening Program, women residences aged 40 to 69 were recruited from 80 streets in six districts of Beijing (Dongcheng, Xicheng, Chaoyang, Haidian, Fengtai and Shijingshan District) using cluster sampling method. General demographic information and potential risk factors, results of clinical examination and follow-up outcomes of the target population (diagnosed breast cancer or not) were collected using epidemiological questionnaire, risk evaluation, clinical examination using ultrasound and (or) joint screening with mammography and follow-up, respectively. Proportion of high-risk cases evaluated by the questionnaire, recall rate, proportion of cases with BI-RADS grade 3 and BI-RADS grade 4/5, proportion of the cases with stage 0 or I, incidence rate and cumulative incidence rate were calculated. Cox proportional hazard regression model was used to estimate the hazard ratio (HR) and 95% confidence interval (95%CI) among females who experienced different screening scenario. Results: A total of 53 916 women with the age of (57.2±7.3) completed high-risk assessment were included into analysis. The proportion of overweigh and obesity were 40.90% (22 053 cases) and 15.34% (8 270 cases), respectively. A total of 17 535 cases (32.52%) were evaluated as positive case detected by the questionnaire. The clinical recall rate was 47.64% (8 353 cases) among the high-risk females. The positive rate detected by ultrasound or mammography alone was 1.84% and 4.00%, while the suspicious positive detection rates were 14.50% and 17.83%, respectively. The positive rate and suspicious positive rate detected by joint screening using ultrasound and mammography were 5.44% and 27.74% respectively. In total, 252 cases were diagnosed with breast cancer after an average of 2.68 years follow-up. The incidence rate and cumulative incidence rate of breast cancer were 174.34/100 000 person years and 470/100 000, respectively. The early detection rate was 68.6% among the residences who received clinical examination. Compared with the negative residence evaluated by the questionnaire, the positive cases has a 55% higher risk of diagnosed with breast cancer (HR=1.55, 95%CI:1.20-2.00); Cases that recognized by baseline ultrasound and mammography joint screening as BI-RADS 4/5 and BI-RADS 3 have higher risk of diagnosed with breast cancer than that of with the results of BI-RADS 1-2, with the HR of 12.60 (95%CI:6.49-24.47) and 1.89 (0.93-3.83), respectively. Conclusion: Females with high risk of breast cancer in Beijing have a better recall rate of receiving the clinical screening examination. Joint using ultrasonography and mammography in breast cancer screening can improve the positive detection rate among high risk females.

Abstract
The outbreak of 2019-novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) infection poses a serious threat to global public health. Vaccination is an effective way to prevent the epidemic of the virus. 2019-nCoV along with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV) and Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) belong to the same β-genus of coronavirus family. Basing on the previous experience and the technical platform of developing SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV vaccines, scientists from all over the world are working hard and quickly on the related fields. There are substantial progress in these fields including characterizing the 2019-nCoV virus, identification of candidate antigens and epitopes, establishment of animal models, characterizing the immune responses, and the design of vaccines. The development of 2019-nCoV vaccines covers all types: inactivated virus vaccine, recombinant protein vaccine, viral vector-based vaccine, mRNA vaccine, and DNA vaccine, et al. As of March 2020, two 2019-nCoV vaccines have entered phase I clinical trials. One is named as Ad5-nCoV developed by the Chinese Institute of Biotechnology of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences and Tianjin Cansino Biotechnology Inc. Ad5-nCoV is based on the replication-defective adenovirus type 5 as the vector to express 2019-nCoV spike protein. The another vaccine is mRNA-1273 developed by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and Moderna, Inc.. RNA-1273 is an mRNA vaccine expressing 2019-nCoV spike protein. Although the rapid development of 2019-nCoV vaccine, it still faces many unknown challenges, including the antigenic characteristics of the 2019-nCoV, the influence of antigenic variation, the protective immune response of host, the protection of the elderly population, and the downstream manufacturing process of the new vaccine. The safety and efficacy of vaccines are the first priority for vaccine development and should be carefully evaluated.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the smoking cessation behaviors in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients aged 40 years or older in China and provide evidence for COPD control and prevention. Methods: COPD patients with post-bronchodilator FEV(1)/FVC<70% were selected from COPD surveillance (2014-2015) of China, in which 5 791 current or former smokers defined by questionnaire survey were included in the study. The smoking cessation rate/ratio and the successful smoking cessation rate in COPD patients, the successful smoking cessation rate in COPD patients who ever smoked daily and the rate of attempting to quit smoking in current smokers with COPD were estimated using data adjusted by complicated sampling method. Results: The smoking cessation rate was 25.0% and the successful smoking cessation rate was 19.1% in COPD patients aged 40 years or older who ever smoked. The smoking cessation ratio was 23.1% and the successful smoking cessation ratio was 17.6% in COPD patients who ever smoked daily. The rate and ratio were higher in urban area than rural area (P<0.05) and increased with age (P<0.05). Patients who were aware of smoking being a risk factor for COPD had higher rate and ratio than patients who were not aware (P<0.05). Patients with more severe airflow limitation and patients smoking less had higher rate and ratio (P<0.05). Conclusions: The smoking cessation rate and ratio were low in COPD patients in China. More health education for COPD patients about smoking cessation needs to be strengthened. It is suggested for healthcare workers to actively advise smoking cessation and suggest smoking cessation ways for patients who smoke in their routine clinical service to increase the successful smoking cessation rate/ratio in COPD patients.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the awareness of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) status and awareness of COPD-related knowledge and its influencing factors in COPD patients aged ≥40 years in China in 2014-2015. Methods: The study subjects were selected through multi-stage stratified cluster sampling from 125 COPD surveillance points in 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) in China. The number of the subjects was 75 107. The relevant variables about COPD diagnosis and COPD-related knowledge awareness were collected by electronic questionnaire in face to face interviews. A total of 9 134 participates with post-bronchodilator FEV(1)/FVC<70% were diagnosed with COPD. Based on the complex sampling design, the awareness rate of COPD status and related knowledge were estimated, and the influencing factors were analyzed. Results: A total of 9 132 COPD patients were included in the analysis. Among COPD patients aged ≥40 years in China, 0.9% were aware of their COPD status (95%CI: 0.6%-1.1%), and 5.7% were aware of COPD related knowledge (95%CI: 4.8%-6.6%), and 3.4% were aware of pulmonary function test (95%CI: 2.8%-4.0%). The COPD status awareness rate was 3.9% in the patients with history of chronic respiratory disease (95%CI: 2.9%-4.8%), 2.4% in the patients with respiratory symptoms (95%CI: 1.7%-3.1%), and 7.1% in the patients with COPD related knowledge awareness (95%CI: 4.5%-9.8%) respectively. The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that chronic respiratory disease history, respiratory symptoms, occupational dust and/or harmful gas exposure and COPD related knowledge awareness had influences on the awareness rate of COPD status. Educational level and chronic respiratory disease history had influences on the awareness rate of COPD related knowledge. And ethnic groups, educational level and history of chronic respiratory diseases had influences on the awareness rate of pulmonary function test. Conclusions: The awareness rates of COPD status, COPD-related knowledge and pulmonary function test in COPD patients in China were low. The comprehensive intervention of COPD should be carried out to improve the level of diagnosis and the awareness COPD status of COPD patients.

EUROPEAN REVIEW FOR MEDICAL AND PHARMACOLOGICAL SCIENCES 2020; 23:690-698. Abstract
OBJECTIVE Previous studies have shown that long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) FOXC2-AC1 is one of cancer-promoting genes. However, the role of FOXC2-AC1 in lung cancer (LCa) has not been reported. This study aimed to investigate the expression characteristics of FOXC2-AC1 in LCa, and to further explore the mechanism by which it accelerates the metastasis of LCa. PATIENTS AND METHODS Quantitative Real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was used to detect the level of FOXC2-AC1 in 62 pairs of LCa tissues and adjacent normal tissues, and the relationship between FOXC2-AC1 and LCa pathological parameters as well as the prognosis of patients were analyzed. Meanwhile, FOXC2-AC1 level was further verified in LCa cells by qRT-PCR. In addition, FOXC2-AC1 knockdown and overexpression models were constructed using lentivirus in LCa cell lines including H1299 and SPCA1, and the effect of FOXC2-AC1 on the biological function of LCa cells was analyzed by cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) test along with transwell invasion and migration assay. Finally, the potential mechanism was explored using Western blotting assay. RESULTS In this study, qRT-PCR results indicated that the expression level of FOXC2-AC1 in LCa was considerably higher than that in normal tissues, with statistically significant differences. Compared with patients with low expression of FOXC2-AC1, patients with high expression of FOXC2-AC1 had higher incidence of distant metastasis and lower overall survival rate. Compared with the control group, the cell proliferation, invasion and metastasis capacities of FOXC2-AC1 overexpressing group were considerably enhanced, while opposite results were observed in the FOXC2-AC1 silencing group. In addition, miR-107 expression was found significantly reduced no matter in LCa cell lines or in tissues and showed a negative correlation with FOXC2-AC1. Subsequently, luciferase reporter gene assay demonstrated that overexpression of miR-107 significantly attenuated the luciferase activity of the wild-type FOXC2-AC1 vector without reducing the activity of the mutant vector or empty vector, further proving that FOXC2-AC1 could be targeted by miR-107 through this binding site. In addition, rescue experiment also found that FOXC2-AC1 and miR-107 have mutual regulation, which jointly affected the malignant progression of LCa. CONCLUSIONS These studies indicate that LncRNA FOXC2-AC1 is notably upregulated in LCa and is significantly correlated with LCa distant metastasis as well as poor prognosis. Therefore, it is suggested that lncRNA FOXC2-AC1 may promote malignant progression of LCa through the mutual regulation of miR-107.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the situation of respiratory rehabilitation and oxygen inhalation therapy in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients aged 40 years or older in China, and provide basic information for the development of pulmonary rehabilitation. Methods: The data were from 2014-2015 COPD surveillance in China. Chinese residents aged 40 years or older were recruited through a complex multi-stage stratified cluster sampling from 125 COPD surveillance points in 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities). Standardized face to face electronic questionnaires were used to collect information about respiratory rehabilitation and oxygen inhalation therapy of the patients. Spirometry was performed on all participants, and patients with post- bronchodilator FEV(1)/FVC<70% were diagnosed with COPD. The number of defined COPD patients was 9 134. Based on the complex sampling design, the respiratory rehabilitation treatment rate and oxygen inhalation therapy rate of COPD patients aged 40 years old or older in China were estimated, and the influencing factors were analyzed. Results: A total of 9 118 COPD patients aged 40 years or older were included in the analysis. The rate of respiratory rehabilitation was 0.8% (95CI: 0.6%-1.0%), and the rate of oxygen inhalation therapy was 2.5% (95%CI: 2.0%-2.9%). Among patients with severe symptoms or high risk of acute exacerbation (combined COPD assessment groups B, C, D), the rate of respiratory rehabilitation was 1.4% (95%CI: 0.9%-1.9%), and the rate of oxygen inhalation therapy was 5.4% (95%CI: 4.4%-6.4%). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that urban or rural residences, geographic area, awareness of COPD, history of acute exacerbation and severity of airflow restriction had influences on the respiratory rehabilitation rate in the COPD patients. Gender, geographic area, awareness of COPD, history of acute exacerbation, mMRC scores and severity of airflow restriction had influences on the patients' oxygen inhalation therapy rate. Conclusions: The rate of respiratory rehabilitation and oxygen inhalation therapy in COPD patients aged 40 years or older was relatively low in China. It is necessary to explore an effective model of pulmonary rehabilitation and COPD management, so that more COPD patients may have access to scientific pulmonary rehabilitation treatment.
