Abstract
Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is one of the most aggressive malignancies and the therapeutic outcomes remain undesirable. Increasing evidence shows that aryl hydrocarbon receptor nuclear translocator like 2 (ARNTL2) plays crucial roles in tumorigenesis of multiple tumors. However, the expression status and functions of ARNTL2 in PDAC remain elusive. Here we showed that ARNTL2 expression was markedly upregulated in PDAC tissues and cell lines. elevated expression of ARNTL2 was positively related to unfavorable prognosis. Knockdown of ARNTL2 could suppress motility and invasive ability of PDAC cells in vitro, as well as tumor development in vivo. In addition, microRNA-26a-5p (miR-26a-5p) was identified as the crucial specific arbitrator for ARNTL2 expression and the expression of miR-26a-5p was inversely correlated with ARNTL2 expression in PDAC tissues. Functionally, elevated expression of miR-26a-5p was found to inhibit the proliferation, migration, and invasion of PDAC cells in vitro, while ARNTL2 increased expression could partially abolish the suppressive effect of miR-26a-5p. Mechanism study indicated that elevated expression of miR-26a-5p suppressed TGF/BETA signaling pathway by targeting ARNTL2 in PDAC cells. In conclusion, our data suggested that ARNTL2 acted as an oncogene to regulate PDAC growth. MiR-26a-5p/ARNTL2 axis may be a novel therapeutic candidate target in PDAC treatment.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Previously published data on the association between the XRCC1 Arg194Trp polymorphism and thyroid cancer (TC) remain controversial. METHODS To clarify the association between the XRCC1 Arg194Trp polymorphism and susceptibility to TC, a meta-analysis of case-control studies was conducted. We systematically searched PubMed and CNKI to identify relevant studies. Pooled odds ratios (ORs) of various genetic models were estimated using fixed and random effects models. Heterogeneity was detected by Q-statistic, and the Egger's test was used to evaluate the publication bias. RESULTS A total of seven eligible studies for the XRCC1 Arg194Trp polymorphism (1500 patients and 2358 controls) were included in this meta-analysis. The results of our study failed to suggest an association between the Arg194Trp polymorphism and susceptibility of TC. However, in the subgroup analyses by ethnicity, the OR was 0.82 (C allele vs. T allele, 95% CI 0.68-0.98; P = 0.24 for heterogeneity) among the Chinese population. Nevertheless, no significant differences were observed in the Caucasian population in any genetic model. CONCLUSION This study suggested that the C allele of XRCC1 had an 18% significantly decreased risk of TC in Chinese, and there were no significant associations among Caucasians under all genetic models.

Abstract
Photocatalytic reaction refers to a sophisticated heterogeneous catalyzing process. Exploring the interfacial reaction of catalysts will provide insights into efficient artificial photosynthetic system and promote its design. In this study, highly dispersed bimetallic CuCo2O4 nanoclusters decorated g-C3N4 heterojunction photocatalyst was produced by in-situ deposition of 0D CuCo2O4 spinel on the 2D g-C3N4 surface. Compared with CuO or Co3O4 modified g-C3N4, the optimal composite exhibits a significantly higher H2 evolution rate of 4187.6 μmol∙gcat-1∙h-1 with an apparent quantum yield (AQY) of 4.57% under the irradiation of monochromatic light (400 ± 7.5 nm) in the absence of noble metal. As suggested from the results of the photoelectrochemistry characterizations and NH3-temperature programmed desorption (NH3-TPD) analysis, CuCo2O4/g-C3N4 exhibited faster HER kinetics and considerable surface acidity sites, and it facilitated triethanolamine (TEOA) chemisorption and H2 evolution, further highlighting the merits of such mixed-metal compounds. Moreover, the transfer pathway of charge carriers between CuCo2O4 and g-C3N4 heterogeneous interface was demonstrated by photo-degradation of RhB and selective photo-deposition Pt nanoparticles.

Abstract
The solubility range of interstitial Ni in the ZrNi1+xSn half-Heusler phase is a controversial issue, but it has an impact on the thermoelectric properties. In this study, two isothermal section phase diagrams of the Zr-Ni-Sn ternary system at 973 K and 1173 K were experimentally constructed based on the binary phase diagrams of Zr-Ni, Zr-Sn, and Ni-Sn. The thermodynamic equilibrium phases were obtained after a long time of heating treatment on the raw alloys prepared by levitation melting. Solubilities of x < 0.07 at 973 K and x < 0.13 at 1173 K were clearly indicated. An intermediate-Heusler phase with a partly filled Ni void was observed, which is believed to be beneficial to the lowered lattice thermal conductivity. The highest ZT value~0.71 at 973 K was obtained for ZrNi1.11Sn1.04. The phase boundary mapping provides an important instruction for the further optimization of ZrNiSn-based materials and other systems.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Ovarian cancer has been a salient public health concern in the world. It is necessary to develop novel antitumor drugs to treat ovarian cancer. PURPOSE This study investigated the synthesis, antiproliferation ability, antitumor mechanisms in vitro and in vivo of a novel benzenesulfonamide derivative. METHODS The novel benzenesulfonamide-1,2,3-triazole hybrid 7c was synthesized from 4-fluorobenzenesulfonyl chloride, prop-2-yn-1-amine and 1-(azidomethyl)-3-phenoxybenzene. The structure of this benzenesulfonamide-1,2,3-triazole hybrid 7c was confirmed by 13C NMR, and 1H NMR. Compound 7c was evaluated for its antitumor effects in vitro and in vivo against ovarian cancer OVCAR-8 cells. RESULTS We discovered that the benzenesulfonamide hybrid 7c potently inhibited cell proliferation against ovarian cancer. Especially, it inhibited cell proliferation with an IC50 value of 0.54μM against OVCAR-8 cells. It could inhibit migration and invasion against OVCAR-8 cells in a concentration-dependent and time-dependent manner. In addition, compound 7c affected the Wnt/β-catenin/GSK3β pathway against ovarian cancer OVCAR-8 cells. In vivo study suggested that compound 7c inhibited tumor growth remarkably without obvious toxicity. CONCLUSION In conclusion, benzenesulfonamide hybrid 7c could be a lead compound for further antitumor drug discovery to treat ovarian cancer.

Abstract
Zintl phase compounds Ca9Zn4+xSb9 have promising thermoelectric properties due to their complex crystal structure and tunable interstitial Zn. In this work, we prepared nominal Ca9Zn4+xSb9 (x = 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, and 0.8) using ball milling and hot pressing. Further decreased lattice thermal conductivity was obtained by isoelectronic substitution of Eu on the selective Ca site, which is farther away from the framework of [Zn4+xSb9]δ- for the smaller disturbance of carrier transport. Together with the intensively enhanced carrier mobility, which is attributed to the decreased effective mass and the increased interstitial Zn by inclusion of Eu, an increased peak ZT value to ∼1.05 at 773 K and an enhanced average ZT value to ∼0.73 from 300 to 823 K were achieved in Ca6.75Eu2.25Zn4.7Sb9.

Abstract
IL-35 is the newest member of IL-12 family. A dimeric protein consisting of two separate subunits has manifested suppressive actions on immune system, which is counterproductive in the context of cancers. Various reports have confirmed its inhibitory role on immune system which is carried out via formation of IL-35-producing regulatory T cells (iTr35), increased Treg development and suppressive Th17 cells growth. Although last decade has seen a great deal of scientific interest on this subject, the exact role, precise signal transduction and elaborative functions of IL-35 in tumor microenvironment (TME) remained elusive. Search for anti-IL-35 therapies have exhibited limited success in animal models. Contrarily, few studies have denied the idea that IL-35 plays a role in cancer. The purpose of this review is to analyze the reported scientific data on continuous symphony of IL-35 in cancers since the inception of former.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to better understand the role of interleukin 35 (IL35) in esophageal carcinoma by comparing the mRNA level in Barrett's esophageal mucosa and in matched normal squamous mucosa and to understand how the diagnosis model works with two other genes: hepatocyte nuclear factor 1B (HNF1B) and cAMP responsive element binding protein 3-like 1 (CREB3L1). By comparing carcinoma tissue and normal tissue samples, we extracted all the differentially expressed mRNAs. The bioinformatics analysis resulted in the discovery of three prominent genes. Eventually, the three genes were utilized to train a deep-learning model. An additional wet experiment was conducted to validate the effect of IL35. All the differentially expressed genes were enriched into nine groups, each of which has specific biological functions. Given that the three significant genes HNF1B, CREB3L1, and IL35 as diagnostic features, a deep-learning model was constructed, reaching an accuracy of 93% in the training set and 87% in the test set. Our findings suggest that IL35, along with the other two signatures, can distinguish esophageal tumor samples from normal samples precisely.

Abstract
1. This study determined the effects of (E)-3-(2-(4-(3-(2,4-dimethoxyphenyl)acryloyl)phenoxy)ethoxy)-5,7-dimethoxy-2-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-4H-chromen-4-one (EDACO) on the differentiation of Gaoyou duck embryonic osteoclasts cultured in vitro. 2. Bone marrow mononuclear cells (BM-MNC) were collected from 23-d-old Gaoyou duck embryos and induced by macrophage colony-stimulating factor and receptor activator of nuclear factor κB ligand in the presence of EDACO at different concentrations (i.e. 10, 20, 40, 80 and 160 µM). Tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP) staining and resorption ability determination were conducted. 3. Results suggested that EDACO suppressed the shaping of positive multinucleated cells and the number of TRAP-positive cells in the 20, 40, 80 and 160 μM EDACO groups was significantly decreased (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). Besides, the absorption activity of differentiated duck embryonic osteoclasts was significantly inhibited (P < 0.05) in both 80 and 160 μM EDACO groups. 4. Overall, EDACO can inhibit the differentiation of BM-MNC into mature osteoclasts in duck embryos.1.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the clinical characteristics of IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD)so as to improve the understanding of IgG4-RD in China. Methods: IgG4-RD patients were recruited from Peking Union Medical College Hospital between January 2011 and January 2016. All patients were followed-up for more than 6 months. The demographic characteristics, symptoms, organ involvements, laboratory examinations and treatment efficacy were evaluated and analyzed. Results: A total of 346 patients were finally enrolled, including 230 males (66.5%) and 116 females (33.5%). The mean age of disease onset was (53.8±14.2) years old. The mostly common involved organs were lymph nodes (56.4%) and submandibular glands (52.6%). Other affected organs and manifestations included: swelling of the lacrimal glands (46.5%), autoimmune pancreatitis (38.4%), pulmonary involvement (28.0%), sclerosing cholangitis (25.4%), naso-sinusitis (23.4%), parotid gland swelling (21.7%), retroperitoneal fibrosis (19.9%), large arteries involvement (9.5%), kidney involvement (obstructive nephropathy caused by retroperitoneal fibrosis was excluded) (6.9%), skin lesions (6.4%). Rare features consisted of thyroid glands, pituitary glands, gastrointestinal tract, pachymeningitis, pericardium, sclerosing mediastinitis and orchitis. The majority of patients had multi-organ involvement, such as 74.3% patients with 3 and more, 18.2% and 7.5% patients with 2 and single organ involvement respectively. The average IgG4-RD responder index (IgG4-RD RI) was 13.21±5.70. History of allergy was found in 172 (49.7%) patients. As to the laboratory tests, elevated serum IgG4 levels were confirmed in 285 (94.1%) patients, which was positively correlated with IgG4-RD RI. There were 33.5% patients receiving monotherapy of glucocorticoid, 52.6% treated with glucocorticoids combined with immunosuppressive agents, 4.9% patients with immunosuppressant only, and 9.0% patients with mild disease not receiving medication. The majority (336, 97.1%) patients improved the above regimens. Conclusion: IgG4-RD is a systemic fibro-inflammatory disease with multiple organ involvement. The mostly common involved organs include lymph node, submandibular glands, and pancreas. Glucocorticoids and immunosuppressive agents were effective for IgG4-RD.

Abstract
Mg2Si1−xSnx-based compounds have been recognized as promising thermoelectric materials owing to their high figure-of-merit ZTs, abundance of raw constituent elements and nontoxicity. However, further improvement in the thermoelectric performance in this type of material is still constrained by the high thermal conductivity. In this work, we prepared a series of representative Mg2Si0.4−xSn0.6Sbx (x = 0, 0.0075, 0.008, 0.009, 0.01, 0.011) samples via the alkaline earth metal reduction method through a combination of ball milling and spark plasma sintering (SPS) processes. The samples featured many dislocations at the grain boundaries and plenty of nanoscale-coherent Mg2Si–Mg2Sn spinodal phases; both of which can effectively scatter heat-carrying phonons and have nearly no impact on the carrier transport. Meanwhile, Sb-doping can efficiently optimize the carrier concentration and significantly suppress the bipolar effects. As a result, a maximal ZT of 1.42 at 723 K and engineering (ZT)eng of 0.7 are achieved at the optimal Sb-doping level of x = 0.01. This result indicates that the alkaline earth metal reduction method could be an effective route to engineer phonon transport and improve the thermoelectric performance in Mg2Si1−xSnx-based materials. Sb doped Mg2Si0.4Sn0.6 materials feature with lots of dislocations at grain boundaries and plenty of nanoscale Mg2Si–Mg2Sn spinodal phases, both of which can scatter heat carrying phonons and suppress the bipolar effects, with a optimal ZT of 1.42.![]()

Abstract
PURPOSE This study aims to explore the mediating role of sense of coherence in the relationship of type C personality and depression among newly diagnosed breast cancer patients. METHODS A descriptive and correlational survey was conducted in 600 breast cancer patients aged ≥18 years from September 2018 to March 2019 in Zhengzhou, China. The demographic questionnaire, Cancer Behavior Scale, Sense of Coherence Scale and Hamilton Depression Scale were included in this study. Data analysis was performed by correlation analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, and structural equation modeling. RESULTS The valid questionnaires were 575 (effective response rate: 95.8%). The score of sense of coherence was negatively correlated with type C personality and depression (r = -0.41, P < 0.01; r = -0.58, P < 0.01); the score of type C personality and depression were positively correlated (r = 0.51, P < 0.01). The results of multiple linear regression analysis revealed that the effect of type C personality on depression was partly mediated by sense of coherence, which was confirmed by structural equation modeling. The mediation effect accounts for 45.2% (0.269/0.594) of the total effect. CONCLUSION The results of this study revealed that sense of coherence as a partial mediating role is essential for reducing the influence of type C personality on depression. Early and targeted psychological interventions on sense of coherence are needed to alleviate the symptom of depression in newly diagnosed breast cancer patients.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), largely remains a primary cause of cancer-related death worldwide. The molecular mechanisms in LUAD metastasis have not been completely uncovered. METHODS In this study, we identified differentially expressed genes (DEGs), miRNAs (DEMs) and lncRNAs (DELs) underlying metastasis of LUAD from The Cancer Genome Atlas database. Intersection mRNAs were used to perform gene ontology (GO), Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway and co-expression network analysis. In addition, survival analyses of intersection mRNAs were conducted. Finally, intersection mRNAs, miRNAs and lncRNAs were subjected to construct miRNA-mRNA-lncRNA network. RESULTS A total of 1015 DEGs, 54 DEMs and 22 DELs were identified in LUAD metastasis and non-metastasis samples. GO and KEGG pathway analysis had proven that the functions of intersection mRNAs were closely related with many important processes in cancer pathogenesis. Among the co-expression interactions network, 22 genes in the co-expression network were over the degree 20. These genes imply that they have connections with many other gene nodes. In addition, 14 target genes (ARHGAP11A, ASPM, HELLS, PRC1, TMPO, ARHGAP30, CD52, IL16, IRF8, P2RY13, PRKCB, PTPRC, SASH3 and TRAF3IP3) were found to be associated with survival in patients with LUAD significantly (log-rank P < 0.05). Two lncRNAs (LOC96610 and ADAM6) acting as ceRNAs were identified based on the miRNA-mRNA-lncRNA network. CONCLUSIONS Taken together, the results may provide a novel perspective to develop a multiple gene diagnostic tool for LUAD prognosis, which might also provide potential biomarkers or therapeutic targets for LUAD.

Abstract
PURPOSE The aim of this study was to determine the effects of different menopausal hormone therapy regimens on body composition in healthy postmenopausal Chinese women. MATERIALS AND METHODS One hundred and twenty-three healthy postmenopausal Chinese women were randomly assigned to either group A (0.625 mg conjugated equine estrogens [CEE] plus 100 mg micronized progesterone [MP]), group B (0.3 mg CEE plus 100 mg MP), or group C (0.625 mg CEE plus 10 mg dydrogesterone). Body composition was assessed by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry. RESULTS One hundred and two women completed the trial at 1 year. A small but significant gain in lean body mass (619 ± 1019 g, p = 0.002) and a decrease of fat mass in all separate regions was observed in group A. A significant shift from gynoid to android fat distribution was observed in group B and group C (android/gynoid fat percentage ratios increased by 0.06 ± 0.08, p = 0.000 and 0.03 ± 0.08, p = 0.018, respectively), whereas no significant change was observed in group A (0.02 ± 0.06, p = 0.103). CONCLUSIONS In healthy postmenopausal Chinese women, 0.625 mg of CEE combined with 100 mg of MP was associated with a more favorable fat distribution compared with 0.3 mg CEE plus 100 mg MP or 0.625 mg CEE plus 10 mg dydrogesterone.

Abstract
The chemokine system is a complex arrangement of molecules that attract leukocytes to the site of injury or inflammation. This chemotactic behavior gives the system the name "Chemokine." The intricate and redundant nature of the chemokine system has made it a subject of ongoing scientific investigation. Obesity is characterized as low-grade systemic or chronic inflammation that is responsible for the release of cytokines, adipokines, and chemokines. Excessive tissue fat expansion triggers the release of chemokines, which in turn attract various leukocytes and activate the resident immune surveillance system, eventually leading to worsening of obesity and other related comorbidities. To date, 50 chemokines and 20 chemokine receptors that belong to the G-protein-coupled receptor family have been discovered, and over the past two decades, the physiological and pathological roles of many of these chemokines and their receptors have been elucidated. The objective of this review is to present an update on the link between chemokines and obesity under the light of recent knowledge.

Abstract
The seed oil of 138 accessions of 14 Acer truncatum (Aceraceae family) populations native to China were analyzed by pulsed nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and gas chromatography-flame ionization detection. The oil content ranged from 17.81% to 36.56% (mean: 28.57%), which mainly consisted of 14 types of fatty acids. Palmitic (4.69%), stearic (2.30%), oleic (25.19%), linoleic (32.97%), linolenic (2.76%), cis-11-eicosenoic (7.90%), erucic (16.49%), and nervonic (5.76%) fatty acids accounted for 98% of total fat. The nervonic acid content ranged from 3.90% to 7.85% among the accessions. Significant variations in oil content and predominating fatty acids were observed among populations. Hierarchical cluster analysis and principal component analysis detected obvious geographical variation trends among A. truncatum populations which correlate with environmental variations (especially altitude, temperature, and precipitation) and supported the grouping of the populations into three groups according to geographic locations.

Abstract
Single crystal tin selenide (SnSe) has attracted much attention for its excellent thermoelectric performance. However, polycrystalline SnSe exhibits unsatisfactory figure-of-merit due to the inferior electrical properties, especially for n-type SnSe. In this work, a high concentration of Br doping (6-12 atm%) on the Se site effectively increases the Hall carrier concentration from 1.6 × 1017 cm-3 (p-type) in undoped SnSe to 1.3 × 1019 cm-3 (n-type) in Br-doped SnSe0.88Br0.12, leading to an increased electrical conductivity close to that of a single crystal. Combined with the decreased lattice thermal conductivity due to the enhanced phonon scattering by composition fluctuation and dislocations, a peak ZT of ≈1.3 at 773 K, together with the enhanced average ZT is obtained in SnSe0.9Br0.1 along the hot pressing direction.
