Abstract
Many factors still need to be evaluated to fully understand the physical mechanisms determining optical cavity vibration, which are crucial for designing and constructing a transportable ultra-stable laser. Herein, a detailed dynamic analysis is used to characterize the vibration modes of a transportable optical cavity. The first five resonance modes are identified in the presence of a cavity support, and the guidelines to achieve a high first-order resonance frequency are proposed; thereby, high robustness is described using a 50 mm length optical cavity. The results demonstrate that the first-order resonance of up to 681 Hz with a gross weight of 2.51 kg can be achieved using an optimization strategy for given cavity support. The theoretical results are consistent with simulation and experiment. With the optimal group, a 1.34 Hz linewidth transportable ultra-stable laser at 1550 nm is established, and a linewidth of 1.5 Hz and frequency instability of 9.5×10-15@1s are obtained after the test including 100 km actual road transportation and 34 min continuous vibration. The test condition is equivalent to ∼ 1000 km road transportation. Our method can be readily extended to other transportable optical cavities, providing a powerful tool for improving the robustness of vibration, particularly important for transportable environments.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the otological and hearing characteristics in children with Turner syndrome (TS), to determine risk factors of hearing loss, and to discuss algorithms for future surveillance. Methods: The clinical data of otolaryngology in children with TS from January 2018 to April 2020 were reviewed retrospectively. A total of 46 female children with TS, aged from 5 to 18 years were enrolled. Karyotypes included 17 cases (37.0%) of monosomy, 16 cases (34.7%) of mosaicism, and 13 cases (28.3%) of abnormal X chromosome structures. The otoscopic characteristics, audiological performance, and otologic diagnoses were evaluated. Multivariate logistic regression and Mann-Whitney U test were used for statistical analysis. Results: The most common otologic comorbidity was otitis media with effusion (OME), including 20 cases (43.5%) with 33 ears (35.9%). 14 cases (30.4%) were diagnosed with hearing loss. The regression analysis revealed that the age (OR=1.345, 95%CI: 1.072-1.760) and comorbidity of OME (OR=9.460, 95%CI: 2.065-60.350) were risk factors associated with hearing loss. In TS with OME, when compared with the mean air conduction threshold, the hearing loss of the group with pars flaccida retractions was significantly higher ((24.3±13.8) dB HL vs. (14.4±4.2) dB HL, U=59.500, P=0.008) than that of the group with none retractions. Conclusion: OME and hearing loss are common in children with TS. As age increases or suffers from OME, the risk of hearing loss increases.

Abstract
Background The circular replication‐associated protein (Rep)‐encoding single‐stranded (CRESS) DNA virus emergence in diverse host has been associated with severe disease. Porcine circovirus‐like virus (Po‐Circo‐like [PCL] virus) is a CRESS DNA virus, the prevalence and pathogenicity of which are rarely studied. Methods We obtained two blood samples, four faecal samples, and two intestinal samples from a pig farm suffered from diarrheal disease in the delivery room in September 2020 and attempted to isolate and identify a causative pathogen. Subsequently, only PCL virus was positive, and qRT‐PCR was designed to detect the loading titre of PCL virus. We then initiated a heightened surveillance program on the pathogenicity and epidemiology of PCL virus. Results Six PCL virus strains, with severe diarrhoea and haemorrhagic enteritis, have been found in six different pig farms in Guangdong province, China. A multiple sequence alignment of these PCL viruses and bovine circovirus‐like virus/CH showed a similarity of 92.5‐94.8% for the Rep protein, indicating these PCL viruses are highly homologous to Bo‐Circo‐like virus associated with calf diarrhoea. There were striking similarities between the PCL virus and bovine circovirus‐like virus outbreaks in aetiological settings and Genomic sequence. We found that 11.2% (20/178) of diarrhoea samples and 13.3% (6/45) of pig farms were positive for PCL virus, suggesting that PCL virus may have spread widely in Pig farms. Moreover, this article underscores the risk of PCL virus spilling over and adapting to new species. Conclusions Porcine circovirus‐like virus was found to be associated with porcine diarrheal disease in China.

Abstract
The issue of bilingual phonological access remains unclear for bilinguals with cross-script language systems, which is especially true when the time course of phonological activation is involved. To investigate the time course of cross-script phonological activation, the present study asked Chinese-English bilinguals to complete a word naming task that was conducted in a forward-masked phonological priming paradigm in three stimulus onset asynchrony (SOA) conditions. By comparing the interlingual and intralingual phonological priming effects in a within-subjects design, we found that (a) target naming in Chinese and English was facilitated by a phonologically similar English or Chinese prime in the three SOA conditions (43 ms, 75 ms, and 150 ms) and the facilitation effect of the prime reached the peak when the pronunciation of the prime-target pair most resembled each other and (b) manipulation of the SOAs affected both the naming latencies of target words and the sizes of the phonological priming effect. In particular, naming latencies in each prime-target type displayed an increasing tendency as the SOA prolonged. Moreover, despite the varied sizes of the priming effect in the three SOA conditions, we found a consistent pattern that the priming effects in two interlingual conditions resembled their respective intralingual conditions along the time course. Taken together, these findings provide strong support for an integrated phonological representation of bilinguals and further extend the language nonselective access hypothesis to language pairs with very different orthographic systems. Implications for the manipulation of the SOAs in the masked priming paradigm are also discussed. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2021 APA, all rights reserved).

Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that poses a serious threat to human health. Rifampin (RIF) is an important first-line anti-TB drug, and rifampin resistance (RIF-R) is a key factor in formulating treatment regimen and evaluating the prognosis of TB. Compared with other drugs resistance, the RIF-R mechanism of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M. tuberculosis) is one of the clearest, which is mainly caused by RIF resistance-related mutations in the rpoB gene. This provides a convenient condition for developing rapid detection methods, and also an ideal object for studying the general drug resistance mechanisms of M. tuberculosis. This review focuses on the mechanisms that influence the RIF resistance of M. tuberculosis and related detection methods. Besides the mutations in rpoB, M. tuberculosis can decrease the amount of drugs entering the cells, enhance the drugs efflux, and be heterogeneous RIF susceptibility to resist drug pressure. Based on the results of current researches, many genes participate in influencing the susceptibility to RIF, which indicates the phenomenon of M. tuberculosis drug resistance is very complex.

Abstract
Zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnONPs) hold great promise for biomedical applications. Previous studies have revealed that ZnONPs exposure can induce toxicity in endothelial cells, but the underlying mechanisms have not been fully elucidated. In this study, we report that ZnONPs can induce ferroptosis of both HUVECs and EA.hy926 cells, as evidenced by the elevation of intracellular iron levels, lipid peroxidation and cell death in a dose- and time-dependent manner. In addition, both the lipid reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavenger ferrostatin-1 and the iron chelator deferiprone attenuated ZnONPs-induced cell death. Intriguingly, we found that ZnONPs-induced ferroptosis is macroautophagy/autophagy-dependent, because the inhibition of autophagy with a pharmacological inhibitor or by ATG5 gene knockout profoundly mitigated ZnONPs-induced ferroptosis. We further demonstrated that NCOA4 (nuclear receptor coactivator 4)-mediated ferritinophagy (autophagic degradation of the major intracellular iron storage protein ferritin) was required for the ferroptosis induced by ZnONPs, by showing that NCOA4 knockdown can reduce the intracellular iron level and lipid peroxidation, and subsequently alleviate ZnONPs-induced cell death. Furthermore, we showed that ROS originating from mitochondria (mtROS) probably activated the AMPK-ULK1 axis to trigger ferritinophagy. Most importantly, pulmonary ZnONPs exposure caused vascular inflammation and ferritinophagy in mice, and ferrostatin-1 supplementation significantly reversed the vascular injury induced by pulmonary ZnONPs exposure. Overall, our study indicates that ferroptosis is a novel mechanism for ZnONPs-induced endothelial cytotoxicity, and that NCOA4-mediated ferritinophagy is required for ZnONPs-induced ferroptotic cell death.

Abstract
IntroductionDuring an out-of-hours shift, the initial assessment of a CAMHS patient is performed by the paediatric trainee, usually the paediatric SHO (senior-house-officer). During my placement as a paediatric SHO, I was aware of a gap in formalised metal state examination teaching for paediatric juniors, which would be crucial for a thorough assessment of these patients, and to better guarantee they are safely managed until further assessment.ObjectivesThe aim is to provide a short teaching session on mental state examining of the CAMHS patent to paediatric SHOs in order to improve their confidence in assessment.MethodsIn order to assess initial confidence in assessing the mental-state of a CAMHS patient, a pre-teaching questionnaire was given to the paediatric SHOs. A 30-minute teaching session on the mental state exam was then carried out and a post-teaching questionnaire was then given to the same trainees. Results
Paired sample Wilcoxons signed rank test found that training significant improved trainees’ confidence in taking a psychiatric mental state exam (p= 0.005, r = 0.628), and improved their confidence in presenting a mental state exam (p = 0.0041, r = 0.6420).Conclusions
Being able to confidently assess the mental state of a CAMHS patient in an on call shift is important for the initial assessing paediatric trainee. However this is often not taught in the paediatric curriculum and trainees have expressed some anxiety in performing this assessment overnight, before a more comprehensive assessment by a CAMHS professional. A simple teaching session may help to reduce this anxiety and improve trainees’ confidence.

Abstract
Exosomes are a kind of membrane vesicle with a diameter of 30-150 nm. It is formed by the budding of multiple vesicles in cells, which can fuse with the cell membrane and be released into the extracellular matrix. Adipose derived stem cells (ADSCs) have the potential of self-renewal and multi-directional differentiation. They can transport the active substance, regulate the inflammatory response, cell migration, proliferation, differentiation and angiogenesis via the action of paracrine exosomes, so as to enhance the ability of wound repair, promote wound healing, and inhibit the formation of scars. Chronic wounds refer to the wounds that can not reach the anatomic and functional integrity through the normal, orderly, and timely repair process, and the course of the wound healing is more than 4 weeks. At present, there are various treatment methods for chronic wounds, among which ADSCs, although showing a good application prospect, have some limitations due to ethical issues, while exosomes can avoid this problem. This article reviews the treatment of chronic wounds with ADSC exosomes.

Abstract
BACKGROUND In China, there are a lack of well-established relationships regarding farmers' behavior and participation in farmer organizations. The main objective of this study was to explore the effects and mechanisms of organizational participation in the joint control of pest and disease among kiwifruit growers (within the members of organizations). To fulfill this objective, the present study utilized survey data from 577 kiwifruit growers collected from Meixian County, Shaanxi Province, China. A combined method utilizing the instrumental variable (IV) ordered probit and bootstrap multiple mediation effect models were employed to determine the effects of participation by farmers' organizations in the joint control of pest and disease among kiwifruit growers. RESULTS A positive relationship was found between organizational participation and the joint control of pests and diseases. The empirical analysis of this study found that organizational support, organizational learning and organizational norms have mediating effects in the process of farmers' participation in the joint control of pests and disease. It is essential to go beyond individual behavior and tackle group decision-making at the farm level. CONCLUSION This study found a positive effect of organizational participation in joint pest and disease control mechanisms. Moreover, whether the farm is situated in the demonstration zone for kiwifruit cultivation, planting experience, planting area, whether there are people in the family who are village cadres, and the number of older adults in the family significantly positively affect the degree of pest and disease control. © 2020 Society of Chemical Industry.

Abstract
Background Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers and the fourth leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the world. Although the treatment of HCC has made great progress in recent years, the therapeutic effects on HCC are still unsatisfactory due to difficulty in early diagnosis, chemoresistance and high recurrence rate post-surgery. Methods In this study, we identified differentially expressed genes (DEGs) based on four Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) datasets (GSE45267, GSE98383, GSE101685 and GSE112790) between HCC and normal hepatic tissues. A protein–protein interaction (PPI) network was established to identify the central nodes associated with HCC. Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analysis of the central nodes were conducted to find the hub genes. The expression levels of the hub genes were validated based on the ONCOMINE and Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis (GEPIA) databases. Additionally, the genetic alterations of the hub genes were evaluated by cBioPortal. The role of the hub genes on the overall survival (OS) and relapse survival (RFS) of HCC patients was evaluated by Kaplan-Meier plotter. At last, the mechanistic role of the hub genes was illustrated by in vitro experiments. Results We found the following seven hub genes: BUB1B, CCNB1, CCNB2, CDC20, CDK1, MAD2L1 and RRM2 using integrated bioinformatics analysis. All of the hub genes were significantly upregulated in HCC tissues. And the seven hub genes were associated with the OS and RFS of HCC patients. Finally, in vitro experiments indicated that BUB1B played roles in HCC cell proliferation, migration, invasion, apoptosis and cell cycle by partially affecting mitochondrial functions. Conclusions In summary, we identified seven hub genes that were associated with the expression and prognosis of HCC. The mechanistic oncogenic role of BUB1B in HCC was first illustrated. BUB1B might play an important role in HCC and could be potential therapeutic targets for HCC.

Abstract
BACKGROUND & AIMS To investigate the relationship between maternal serum fatty acid levels and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) subtypes across pregnancy. METHODS A total of 680 singleton mothers enrolled in the Complex Lipids in Mothers and Babies (CLIMB) study in Chongqing, China were included. Clinical information and serum samples were collected at gestational weeks (GWs) 11-14, 22-28, and 32-34. 75 g Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT) was conducted at GW 24-28 and GDM subtypes divided into three groups using International Association of Diabetes and Pregnancy Study Group (IADPSG) guidelines criteria: elevated fasting plasma glucose (FPG group; n = 59); 1-h and/or 2-h post-load glucose (1h/2h-PG group; n = 94); combined group (FPG&1h/2h-PG group; n = 42). Non-GDM pregnancies were included (n = 485) as controls. Twenty fatty acids were quantified in serum using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis. RESULTS Overall, most serum fatty acid concentrations increased rapidly from the first to second trimester, followed by a plateauing or reduction in the third trimester (p < 0.001). In cross sectional analysis, fatty acid concentrations were significantly higher in the FPG group at GW 11-14 and decreased in the 1h/2h-PG group at GW 32-34, relative to controls. Moreover, higher α-linolenic acid (ALA; the second tertile: adjusted odds ratio [aOR] = 2.53, 95% CI: 1.17 to 5.47; the third tertile: aOR = 2.60, 95% CI: 1.20 to 5.65) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA; the second tertile: aOR = 2.34, 95% CI: 1.10 to 4.97; the third tertile: aOR = 2.16, 95% CI: 1.00 to 4.63) were significantly associated with a higher risk of GDM in women with elevated fasting plasma glucose at GW 11-14 (first tertile as reference). CONCLUSIONS Our findings highlight the importance of considering GDM subtypes for the individualised management of GDM in pregnancy. ALA and DHA in early pregnancy are associated with a higher risk of FPG-GDM subtype. This has widespread implications when recommending n-3 PUFAs supplementation for women with GDM.

Abstract
Cytokine storm syndrome (CSS) is a critical clinical condition induced by a cascade of cytokine activation, characterized by overwhelming systemic inflammation, hyperferritinaemia, haemodynamic instability and multiple organ failure (MOF). At the end of 2019, the disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) emerged in Wuhan, China, and rapidly developed into a global pandemic. More and more evidence shows that there is a dramatic increase of inflammatory cytokines in patients with COVID-19, suggesting the existence of cytokine storm in some critical illness patients. Here, we summarize the pathogenesis, clinical manifestation of CSS, and highlight the current understanding about the recognition and potential therapeutic options of CSS in COVID-19.

Abstract
High levels or long periods of stress have been shown to negatively impact cell homeostasis, including with respect to abnormalities in domestic animal reproduction, which are typically activated through the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis, in which corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) and heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) are involved. In addition, CRH has been reported to inhibit pituitary gonadotrophin synthesis, and HSP70 is expressed in the pituitary gland. The aim of this study was to determine whether HSP70 was involved in regulating gonadotrophin synthesis and secretion by mediating the CRH pathway in the porcine pituitary gland. Our results showed that HSP70 was highly expressed in the porcine pituitary gland, with over 90% of gonadotrophic cells testing HSP70 positive. The results of functional studies demonstrated that the HSP70 inducer decreased FSH and LH levels in cultured porcine primary pituitary cells, whereas an HSP70 inhibitor blocked the negative effect of CRH on gonadotrophin synthesis and secretion. Furthermore, our results demonstrated that HSP70 inhibited gonadotrophin synthesis and secretion by blocking GnRH-induced SMAD3 phosphorylation, which acts as the targeting molecule of HSP70, while CRH upregulated HSP70 expression through the PKC and ERK pathways. Collectively, these data demonstrate that HSP70 inhibits pituitary gonadotrophin synthesis and secretion by regulating the CRH signaling pathway and inhibiting SMAD3 phosphorylation, which are important for our understanding the mechanisms of the stress affects domestic animal reproductive functions.

EUROPEAN REVIEW FOR MEDICAL AND PHARMACOLOGICAL SCIENCES 2020; 24:11610-11619. Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the expression and potential mechanism of GALNT10 in gastric cancer (GC). PATIENTS AND METHODS A total of 60 cases of GC tissues, as well as normal tissues were collected. The total RNA of GC specimens and cells were extracted by TRIzol method and the level of GALNT10 was examined by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). In addition, the relationship between GALNT10 and clinical parameters and prognosis of GC patients was analyzed. Subsequently, Lentivirus was used to construct GALNT10 knockdown GC cell lines, and cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) and transwell assays were applied to analyze the influence of GALNT10 on GC cell function. Bioinformatics and Luciferase assay was used to evaluate the relationship between GALNT10 and HOXD13. Furthermore, 5-fluorouracil (5-Fu)-resistant cells were used to detect the relationship between GALNT10 and 5-Fu sensitivity of GC cells. RESULTS qRT-PCR results revealed that GALNT10 level was markedly increased in tissues, as well as cell lines of GC. Statistical analysis suggested that GALNT10 expression was in close relation with the incidence of lymph node and distant metastasis along with poor prognosis in GC patients, but not with other indicators. CCK-8 and transwell migration experiment results indicated that GALNT10 silencing can inhibit the proliferative and migration ability of GC cells. Western blot results displayed that the HOXD13 level was remarkably decreased after GALNT10 knocking down. In addition, Luciferase gene assay indicated that GALNT10 could bind to HOXD13. Further rescue experiments showed that HOXD13overexpression can synergistically reverse the inhibitory effect of GALNT10 knockdown on GC cell proliferative and migration ability, which further demonstrated that GALNT10 could promote GC cell metastasis ability and reduce the sensitivity to 5-Fu by regulating HOXD13. CONCLUSIONS GALNT10 could regulate the proliferative and migration ability of GC cells and reduce the sensitivity to 5-Fu by enhancing the expression of HOXD13. Therefore, GALNT10 was expected to be a new therapeutic target for diagnosis of 5-fluorouracil resistance in GC.

Nomogram predicting early neurological improvement in ischaemic stroke patients treated with endovascular thrombectomy. Eur J Neurol 2020; 28:152-160. Abstract
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Early neurological improvement (ENI) after endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) has been associated with favorable outcomes. This study aimed to identify the optimal definition of ENI and develop a nomogram for predicting ENI after EVT in acute ischaemic stroke. METHODS Patients with EVT were enrolled from a multicenter registry as the training cohort. The receiver operating characteristic curve was used to estimate the optimal threshold for ENI at 24 h of EVT. Logistic regression analysis was utilized to generate the best-fit nomogram for predicting ENI. The discrimination of the nomogram was assessed using the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC). An additional 447 patients from two stroke centers were prospectively recruited as the test cohort for validating the nomogram. RESULTS A total of 612 patients with EVT were included in the training cohort. The optimal threshold for predicting 3-month favorable outcome (modified Rankin Scale 0-2) was an improvement of the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score by ≥6 points (AUC 0.875; sensitivity 79.5%; specificity 90.7%). Age, blood glucose, recanalization, symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (sICH) and baseline Alberta Stroke Program Early Computed Tomography Score (ASPECTS) were independently associated with ENI, and were incorporated in the nomogram. The AUC of the nomogram was 0.795 in the training cohort and 0.752 in the test cohort. CONCLUSIONS A reduction of NIHSS score ≥6 appeared to be the optimal definition of ENI. The nomogram composed of age, blood glucose, recanalization, sICH and baseline ASPECTS may predict the probability of ENI in ischaemic stroke patients treated with EVT.

Abstract
There are many types of bacteria in heavy metal-contaminated soils, including plant growth-promoting bacteria and heavy metal-immobilizing bacteria, which may potentially be used for the bioremediation of contaminated soil. In this study, the Cd-contaminated soil around a battery factory in Xinxiang City was collected and its bacterial community composition was analyzed using high-throughput sequencing (HTS) and the plate lineation separation method. The traditional culture method showed that bacteria isolated from contaminated soil belonged to four phyla (Firmicutes, Actinobacteria, Proteobacteria, and Bacteroidetes) and 30 genera including Bacillus, Arthrobacter, and Rhizobium. HTS showed that the soil contained 25 phyla including Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria, and Acidobacteria and 400 genera. The HTS analysis revealed a greater diversity of the bacterial community than the traditional culture method. Network analysis was performed using the relative abundances of bacteria based on the phylogenetic molecular ecological network (pMEN) method. Network analysis showed that the key bacteria included Arthrobacter, Marmoricola, Nocardioides, Ferruginibacter, Flavitalea, Nitrospira, and Lysobacter. The Cd fixation and adsorption abilities of the 159 cultivable strains were determined. The results showed that 30 strains from 11 genera, including Aneurinibacillus, Arthrobacter, and Bacillus, were highly efficient. Six high-efficiency strains were shown to increase the biomass of pak choi (Brassica chinensis L.) and reduce the content of Cd in different pak choi tissues. This study provides candidate bacterial species for the remediation of heavy metal-contaminated soil in Xinxiang City and provides references for the bacterial community and its function in heavy metal-contaminated soil.
