Abstract
SETTING: A comprehensive systematic review on whether proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) are associated with tuberculosis (TB) incidence is lacking.OBJECTIVE: To conduct a systematic review to elucidate if there is an association between PPI use and TB risk.DESIGN: We searched the MEDLINE, EMBASE, and Cochrane Library databases from their inception through 14 February 2018. Risk of Bias Assessment tool for Non-randomised Studies (ROBANS) was used to estimate the quality of each study. We could not undertake a meta-analysis because of the small number of studies and the diversity of outcome measures. All results of included studies are described narratively.RESULTS: Five studies were identified. In three case-control studies, compared with non-PPI use, PPI use was associated significantly with TB incidence, a 1.2-to-1.7-fold increased risk (adjusted OR 1.29; 95%CI 1.29-1.30, OR 1.31; 95%CI 1.22-1.41, adjusted hazard ratio 1.71; 95%CI 1.17-2.50). A cohort study reported that ≥3 months of PPI treatment was not associated significantly with TB incidence compared PPI treatment of <3 months. One cohort study reported that lansoprazole use decreased TB development significantly when compared with omeprazole/pantoprazole use.CONCLUSION: Compared with non-PPI use, PPI use was associated significantly with TB risk but the studies were heterogeneous.

Abstract
Endochondral ossification during long bone development and natural fracture healing initiates by mesenchymal cell condensation, directed by local morphogen signals and mechanical cues. Here, we aimed to mimic development for regeneration of large bone defects. We hypothesized that engineered human mesenchymal condensations presenting transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) and/or bone morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP-2) from encapsulated microparticles promotes endochondral defect regeneration contingent on in vivo mechanical cues. Mesenchymal condensations induced bone formation dependent on morphogen presentation, with BMP-2 + TGF-β1 fully restoring mechanical function. Delayed in vivo ambulatory loading significantly enhanced the bone formation rate in the dual morphogen group. In vitro, BMP-2 or BMP-2 + TGF-β1 initiated robust endochondral lineage commitment. In vivo, however, extensive cartilage formation was evident predominantly in the BMP-2 + TGF-β1 group, enhanced by mechanical loading. Together, this study demonstrates a biomimetic template for recapitulating developmental morphogenic and mechanical cues in vivo for tissue engineering.

Abstract
We report the first observation of the double strange baryon Ξ(1620)^{0} in its decay to Ξ^{-}π^{+} via Ξ_{c}^{+}→Ξ^{-}π^{+}π^{+} decays based on a 980 fb^{-1} data sample collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^{+}e^{-} collider. The mass and width are measured to be 1610.4±6.0(stat)_{-4.2}^{+6.1} (syst) MeV/c^{2} and 59.9±4.8(stat)_{-7.1}^{+2.8}(syst) MeV, respectively. We obtain 4.0σ evidence of the Ξ(1690)^{0} with the same data sample. These results shed light on the structure of hyperon resonances with strangeness S=-2.

Abstract
Abstract
Purpose Neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) is considered to be the standard of care for locally advanced breast cancer. When pathological complete response (pCR) is obtained with NAC it is a predictor of better outcome and often used as a surrogate for survival. However, response to NAC of luminal type breast cancer is variable and mostly limited. This study investigated the predictive relevance of several clinicopathological factors, including parameters of 18F FDG-PET/CT, on the pCR to NAC in patients with luminal HER2–negative breast cancer.
Methods From 2009 to 2015, 117 hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer patients who were treated with NAC followed by curative surgery at the Kyungpook National University Hospital (Daegu, Korea) were retrospectively analyzed. pCR was defined as the absence of cancer cells in breast and axillary node. 18F FDG-PET/CT maximum standardized uptake value (SUV max) was measured at baseline. Patients received from 6 to 8 cycles of anthracycline-based and taxane-based NAC.
Results The median age of the patients was 48 years (range-29-68 years). 104 patients (88.9%) were PR-positive, and forty-nine (41.9%) patients showed high ki-67 expression at initial diagnosis. After NAC, nine patients (7.7%) achieved pCR and patients who had high initial SUV max (≥ 9.09) achieved improved pCR rate compared to low initial SUV max (< 9.09) patients (77.8 % vs. 22.2%).
Conclusion In luminal HER2-negative breast cancer, 18F FDG-PET/CT SUV max was useful for predicting pathologic complete response after NAC

Abstract
Abstract
Backgroud: The detection of lymph node metastasis by reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification method (RT-LAMP) had been studied previously. Even though, RT-LAMP method provides improved performance compared to intraoperative histology sentinel lymph node (SLN) evaluation, direct RT-LAMP method without RNA extraction can be more efficient and easily accessible process. Therefore, we evaluated the performance and efficacy of a direct reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (direct RT-LAMP) assay for visual detection of CK19, CK20, and CEA mRNAs to identify lymph node metastasis in patients with early breast cancer.
Methods: A total of 92 lymph nodes dissected from 40 patients with breast cancer were collected at the breast cancer center of Kyungpook National University Chilgok Hospital between November 2015 and February 2016. All of the samples were analyzed by direct RT-LAMP assay and routine histopathology examination. Cutoff values to distinguish metastasis and nonmetasis were determined by measuring cytokerain 19 (CK19) mRNA in histopathologically positive and negative lymph node using direct RT-LAMP.
Results: We set the cutoff value of direct RT-LAMP assay for CK 19 mRNA at 1ng to distinguish status of LN metastasis. The sensitivity and specificity of the RT-LAMP assay were 85.7% and 100%, respectively. The positive predictive value and negative predictive value were 100% and 94.4%.
Conclusion: Direct RT-LAMP assay can allow detection of SLN metastasis in breast cancer patients intraoperatively with a good sensitivity through cost-effective and time–saving manner.

Abstract
Abstract
Background: Approximately half of women on aromatase inihbitor (AI) therapy develop AI-induced arthralgia (AIA), and many discontinue the medication because of this common side effect. While Vitamin D has been studied as a treatment for AIA, trial results have been conflicting thus far.
Patients and Methods: All subjects were post menopausal women who were beginning adjuvant AI therapy for stage I-III hormone receptor positive breast cancer. Patients were randomized 1:1 to receive standard dose vitamin D3 (800 IU daily for 52 weeks) or high dose vitamin D3 (50,000 IU weekly for 12 weeks, followed by 2000 IU daily for 40 weeks). All patients also took oral calcium 600 mg daily. The primary endpoint was development of AIA, as defined by pre-specified changes in the Health Assessment Questionnaire II (HAQ-II). Secondary endpoints include compliance with AI therapy, and correlation between grip strength and development of AIA. Exploratory endpoint was measurement of inflammatory cytokine reduction in each arm. The trial was designed to enroll 184 patients, but this futility analysis was performed after 93 patients were enrolled. The futility boundary for stopping the trial early was calculated as p = 0.47.
Results: All 93 patients (46 in the high dose arm, and 47 in the standard dose arm) enrolled in the study at the time of the interim analysis were evaluable. The HAQ-II was completed at 12 weeks in 76% on the high dose arm, and 68% in the standard dose arm. Subjects who did not complete the questionnaire were deemed as study failures (i.e. development of AIA was assumed). In the high dose arm, 25 patients (54%) developed AIA, compared to 27 patients (57%) in the standard dose arm. The one-tailed p value is 0.3818, and the Z-score is 0.3, yielding only a 38% conditional power that that study would find a significant difference between the two arms. Thus, the study was terminated early for futility. There was no significant difference between the two arms in adherence to AI therapy. The grip strength and inflammatory cytokine data are pending at this time. They will be ready by the time of the conference.
Conclusions: There was no significant signal for benefit of high dose vitamin D supplementation, as compared to standard dose vitamin D, for AIA prevention in post menopausal women taking adjuvant AI therapy. These results further characterize the role of Vitamin D in AIA, and they inform future clinical trials in this arena. Further research is necessary, as this remains an important cause of non-adherence to this highly effective therapy.

Abstract
Abstract
Background: This study aimed to investigate the function of microRNA-137 in Del-1 expression in triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells and tissues.
Methods: The Del-1 mRNA and microRNA levels were measured using a qRT-PCR in breast cancer cells (MDA-MB-231, MCF7, SK-BR3, and T-47D) and tissues from 20 patients with TNBC. The effects of miR-137 on cell proliferation, migration, and invasion were determined using MTT, wound healing, and Matrigel Transwell assays.
Results: microRNA-137 (miR-137) levels were remarkably low and Del-1 mRNA expression was higher in MDA-MB-231 cells as compared to other breast cancer cell lines. The luciferase reporter assay revealed that miR-137 binds directly at the 3¢-UTR of Del-1 and that Del-1 expression was downregulated by miR-137 mimics and rescued by its inhibitors. Furthermore, miR-137 inhibited the cell proliferation, migration, and invasion of MDA-MB-231 cells. Moreover, among the 30 TNBC specimens, miR-137 was downregulated (p <0.0001) and the level of Del-1 in plasma was significantly elevated as compared to normal controls (p < 0.0001).
Conclusions: In conclusion, miR-137 regulates Del-1 expression in TNBC via directly binding to the Del-1 gene, and thereby affects cancer progression. This suggests that miR-137 may be a new therapeutic biomarker for patients with TNBC.

Abstract
We report the first observation of the spontaneous polarization of Λ and Λ[over ¯] hyperons transverse to the production plane in e^{+}e^{-} annihilation, which is attributed to the effect arising from a polarizing fragmentation function. For inclusive Λ/Λ[over ¯] production, we also report results with subtracted feed-down contributions from Σ^{0} and charm. This measurement uses a dataset of 800.4 fb^{-1} collected by the Belle experiment at or near a center-of-mass energy of 10.58 GeV. We observe a significant polarization that rises with the fractional energy carried by the Λ/Λ[over ¯] hyperon.

Abstract
We report on the first Belle search for a light CP-odd Higgs boson, A^{0}, that decays into low mass dark matter, χ, in final states with a single photon and missing energy. We search for events produced via the dipion transition ϒ(2S)→ϒ(1S)π^{+}π^{-}, followed by the on-shell process ϒ(1S)→γA^{0} with A^{0}→χχ, or by the off-shell process ϒ(1S)→γχχ. Utilizing a data sample of 157.3×10^{6} ϒ(2S) decays, we find no evidence for a signal. We set limits on the branching fractions of such processes in the mass ranges M_{A^{0}}<8.97 GeV/c^{2} and M_{χ}<4.44 GeV/c^{2}. We then use the limits on the off-shell process to set competitive limits on WIMP-nucleon scattering in the WIMP mass range below 5 GeV/c^{2}.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Conventional MR imaging techniques cannot produce optimal images of bone structures because bone has little water and a very short T2 life span. The aim of this study was to investigate the clinical feasibility of skull MR imaging using the zero TE sequence in patients with head trauma by assessing its diagnostic image quality and quantitative measurement compared with CT images. MATERIALS AND METHODS Thirteen enrolled patients with head trauma were assessed using brain CT and skull MR imaging. Image quality was graded on a 5-point Likert scale to compare the 2 modalities. To evaluate quantitative analyses between the 2 imaging modalities, we measured skull thickness and normalized bone tissue signal. Interobserver reliability was assessed using weighted κ statistics and the intraclass correlation coefficient. RESULTS Both imaging techniques clearly depicted skull fractures in all 13 patients. The mean scores for skull MR imaging and CT were 4.65 ± 0.56 and 4.73 ± 0.45 (P = .157), respectively, with substantial interobserver agreement (P < .05). The 2 imaging modalities showed no difference in skull thickness (P = .092) and had good correlation (r 2 = 0.997). The mean value of normalized bone tissue signal among the 3 layers of the skull was relatively consistent (P = .401) with high interobserver agreement (P < .001). CONCLUSIONS Zero TE skull MR imaging has diagnostic image quality comparable with that of CT images. It also provides consistent results on the quantitative measurement of cortical bone with CT images.

Abstract
We present first evidence that the cosine of the CP-violating weak phase 2β is positive, and hence exclude trigonometric multifold solutions of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) Unitarity Triangle using a time-dependent Dalitz plot analysis of B^{0}→D^{(*)}h^{0} with D→K_{S}^{0}π^{+}π^{-} decays, where h^{0}∈{π^{0},η,ω} denotes a light unflavored and neutral hadron. The measurement is performed combining the final data sets of the BABAR and Belle experiments collected at the ϒ(4S) resonance at the asymmetric-energy B factories PEP-II at SLAC and KEKB at KEK, respectively. The data samples contain (471±3)×10^{6}BB[over ¯] pairs recorded by the BABAR detector and (772±11)×10^{6}BB[over ¯] pairs recorded by the Belle detector. The results of the measurement are sin2β=0.80±0.14(stat)±0.06(syst)±0.03(model) and cos2β=0.91±0.22(stat)±0.09(syst)±0.07(model). The result for the direct measurement of the angle β of the CKM Unitarity Triangle is β=[22.5±4.4(stat)±1.2(syst)±0.6(model)]°. The measurement assumes no direct CP violation in B^{0}→D^{(*)}h^{0} decays. The quoted model uncertainties are due to the composition of the D^{0}→K_{S}^{0}π^{+}π^{-} decay amplitude model, which is newly established by performing a Dalitz plot amplitude analysis using a high-statistics e^{+}e^{-}→cc[over ¯] data sample. CP violation is observed in B^{0}→D^{(*)}h^{0} decays at the level of 5.1 standard deviations. The significance for cos2β>0 is 3.7 standard deviations. The trigonometric multifold solution π/2-β=(68.1±0.7)° is excluded at the level of 7.3 standard deviations. The measurement resolves an ambiguity in the determination of the apex of the CKM Unitarity Triangle.

Abstract
We report the observation of ϒ(2S)→γη_{b}(1S) decay based on an analysis of the inclusive photon spectrum of 24.7 fb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} collisions at the ϒ(2S) center-of-mass energy collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^{+}e^{-} collider. We measure a branching fraction of B[ϒ(2S)→γη_{b}(1S)]=(6.1_{-0.7-0.6}^{+0.6+0.9})×10^{-4} and derive an η_{b}(1S) mass of 9394.8_{-3.1-2.7}^{+2.7+4.5} MeV/c^{2}, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. The significance of our measurement is greater than 7 standard deviations, constituting the first observation of this decay mode.

Abstract
Colloidal dispersions with liquid crystallinity hold great promise for fabricating their superstructures. As an example, when graphene oxide (GO) sheets are assembled in the liquid crystalline state, they can turn into ordered macroscopic forms of GO such as fibers via the wet spinning process. Here, we report that by reinforcing intersheet interactions, GO liquid crystals (LCs) turn into mechanically robust hydrogels that can be readily drawn into highly aligned fibrillar structures. GO hydrogel fibers with highly aligned sheets (orientation factor, f = 0.71) exhibit more than twice the ionic conductivity compared to those with partially aligned structures (f = 0.01). The hierarchically interconnected two-dimensional nanochannels within these neatly aligned GOLC hydrogel fibers may facilitate controlled transport of charge carriers and could be potentially explored as cables for interconnecting biosystems and/or human-made devices.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Postoperative ileus (POI) is abdominal surgery-induced impaired gastrointestinal (GI) motility. We aimed to investigate the effects of DA-9701, a prokinetic agent formulated from Pharbitis Semen and Corydalis tuber, likely mediated via corticotrophin-releasing factor (CRF) pathways, in a POI model. METHODS A laparotomy with cecal manipulation was performed to induce POI in guinea pigs. GI transit was measured based on charcoal migration after intragastric administration of DA-9701 1, 3, and 10 mg kg-1 . CRF1 receptor antagonist, CP-154 526 (subcutaneous) or agonist, human/rat (h/r) CRF (intraperitoneal) was injected. Then, plasma adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) levels were measured, and the average intensity of the CRF expression was analyzed in the proximal colon and hypothalamus, and c-Fos in the hypothalamus. KEY RESULTS DA-9701 significantly increased delayed GI transit in POI in a dose-dependent manner and decreased plasma ACTH levels at 10 mg kg-1 . CP-154 526 significantly decreased plasma ACTH levels but was not as effective on GI transit as DA-9701 was. h/r CRF did not significantly affect GI transit and plasma ACTH levels. No significant difference was observed in GI transit and plasma ACTH levels in both groups administered DA-9701 with h/r CRF and h/r CRF alone. CRF expression in the proximal colon decreased after DA-9701 administration, but not significantly, compared with levels in POI alone. However, CRF expression in the hypothalamus was significantly lower in the DA-9701-pretreated POI than in the untreated POI. CONCLUSIONS AND INFERENCES The DA-9701-induced improvement in GI transit and inhibition of plasma ACTH levels was mediated by the central CRF pathway.

Abstract
Photon-mediated interactions between quantum systems are essential for realizing quantum networks and scalable quantum information processing. We demonstrate such interactions between pairs of silicon-vacancy (SiV) color centers coupled to a diamond nanophotonic cavity. When the optical transitions of the two color centers are tuned into resonance, the coupling to the common cavity mode results in a coherent interaction between them, leading to spectrally resolved superradiant and subradiant states. We use the electronic spin degrees of freedom of the SiV centers to control these optically mediated interactions. Such controlled interactions will be crucial in developing cavity-mediated quantum gates between spin qubits and for realizing scalable quantum network nodes.

Abstract
Using data recorded with the Belle detector, we observe a new excited hyperon, an Ω^{*-} candidate decaying into Ξ^{0}K^{-} and Ξ^{-}K_{S}^{0} with a mass of 2012.4±0.7(stat)±0.6(syst) MeV/c^{2} and a width of Γ=6.4_{-2.0}^{+2.5}(stat)±1.6(syst) MeV. The Ω^{*-} is seen primarily in ϒ(1S),ϒ(2S), and ϒ(3S) decays.

Abstract
We report the results of a search for the rare, purely leptonic decay B^{-}→μ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{μ} performed with a 711 fb^{-1} data sample that contains 772×10^{6} BB[over ¯] pairs, collected near the ϒ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^{+}e^{-} collider. The signal events are selected based on the presence of a high momentum muon and the topology of the rest of the event showing properties of a generic B-meson decay, as well as the missing energy and momentum being consistent with the hypothesis of a neutrino from the signal decay. We find a 2.4 standard deviation excess above background including systematic uncertainties, which corresponds to a branching fraction of B(B^{-}→μ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{μ})=(6.46±2.22±1.60)×10^{-7} or a frequentist 90% confidence level interval on the B^{-}→μ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{μ} branching fraction of [2.9,10.7]×10^{-7}.
