Abstract
To use bioinformatics and network analysis to reveal the mechanism of "Rhizoma Pinelliae-Rhizoma Coptidis" herb pair in the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma. The target and pathway of "Rhizoma Pinelliae-Rhizoma Coptidis" herb pair in the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma were explored by online databases and network analysis tools, and the potential biomarkers of "Rhizoma Pinelliae-Rhizoma Coptidis" herb pair in the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma were predicted in reverse. A total of 59 traditional Chinese medicine compounds and 510 drug targets were screened in this study. A total of 25 micro-RNAs and 15,323 disease targets were obtained through GEO2R software analysis. In the end, 294 therapeutic targets and 47 core targets were obtained. A total of 186 gene ontology enrichment assays were obtained, and core therapeutic targets play multiple roles in biological processes, molecular functions, and cellular composition. Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes pathway enrichment analysis showed that the core targets were mainly enriched in cancer-related pathways, immune-related pathways, endocrine-related pathways, etc, among which the non-small cell lung cancer pathway was the most significant core pathway. Molecular docking shows that the compound and the target have good binding ability. "Rhizoma Pinelliae-Rhizoma Coptidis" herb pair plays a mechanism of action in the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma through multiple targets and pathways. miR-5703, miR-3125, miR-652-5P, and miR-513c-5p may be new biomarkers for the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Cryopyrin-associated periodic syndrome (CAPS), a rare genetic autoimmune disease, is composed of familial cold autoinflammatory syndrome (FCAs), Muckle-Wells syndrome (MWS), and neonatal onset multisystem inflammatory disease (NOMID). MWS is caused by dominantly inherited or de novo gain-of-function mutations in the NOD-like receptor 3 (NLRP3) gene. At present, there is no report about the variation of R262W in China. CASE PRESENTATION We reported a 3-year-old Chinese boy who had recurrent fever without obvious inducement, bilateral conjunctival congestion, and urticarial-like rash. Laboratory examination showed elevation in leukocyte count, neutrophil count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), and C-reactive protein (CRP) and serum amyloid protein (SAA) levels. Whole exome sequencing identified a missense variation c.784-786delinsTGG (p.R262W) in the coding region of the NLRP3 gene. CONCLUSION A classical variant of the NLRP3 gene in a patient with MWS was first reported in China.

Abstract
AIMS To evaluate the effects of the Qingwen Gupi decoction (QGT) in a rat model of bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis (PF), and explore the underlying mechanisms by integrating UPLC-Q-TOF/MS metabolomics and 16S rDNA sequencing of gut microbiota. METHODS AND RESULTS The animals were randomly divided into the control, PF model, pirfenidone-treated, and low-, medium-, and high-dose QGT groups. The lung tissues were examined and the expression of TGF-β, SMAD-3, and SMAD-7 mRNAs in the lung tissues were analyzed. Metabolomic profiles were analyzed by UPLC-QTOF/MS, and the intestinal flora were examined by prokaryotic 16 rDNA sequencing. Pathological examination and biochemical indices revealed that QGT treatment improved the symptoms of PF by varying degrees. Furthermore, QGT significantly downregulated TGF-β1 and Smad-3 mRNAs and increased the expression levels of Smad-7. QGT-L in particular increased the levels of 18 key metabolic biomarkers that were associated with nine gut microbial species and may exert antifibrosis effects through arachidonic acid metabolism, glycerophospholipid metabolism, and phenylalanine metabolism. CONCLUSIONS QGT alleviated PF in a rat model through its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-fibrotic effects, and by reversing bleomycin-induced gut dysbiosis.This study lays the foundation for further research on the pathological mechanisms of PF and the development of new drug candidates.

Abstract
Background Choosing the appropriate concentration and volume of anesthetics is critical for a successful nerve block. The current study aimed to determine the minimum effective volume (MEV) of 0.5% ropivacaine for US-guided CEB in 90% of patients (MEV90) undergoing anorectal surgery. The aims were to reduce the occurrence of complications associated with a sacral blockade in anorectal surgery, broaden the indications for surgical procedures and treatment, and improve patient satisfaction. This study presents the groundwork for the development of individualized anesthetic programs. We believe that the study would serve as a reference for the use of caudal epidural block (CEB) in lower abdominal surgery for intraoperative and postoperative analgesia. Methods This study used a biased coin design (BCD) up-and-down method (UDM). We divided the participants into two groups based on gender, and each group independently performed the biased coin design up-and-down method. We used 0.5% ropivacaine for the first patient in each group; however, the volume was 10 ml for men and 8 ml for women. Therefore, the dose of anesthetics given to each patient was determined by the response of the previous patient. If the block of the previous patient failed, the volume was increased by 2 ml in the following patient. Otherwise, the next subject had an 11% chance of receiving a volume of 2 ml less or an 89% chance of receiving no volume change. We defined a successful block as painless surgery with anal sphincter relaxation 15 min after the drug injection. Enrollment was completed after 45 successful caudal blocks for each group. Results Caudal epidural block was successfully performed on 50 men and 49 women. The MEV90 of ropivacaine for CEB was calculated to be 12.88 ml (95% CI: 10.8-14 ml) for men and 10.73 ml (95% CI: 9.67-12 ml) for women. Men had a MEV99 of 13.88 ml (95% CI: 12.97-14 ml), and women had a MEV99 of 11.87 ml (95% CI: 11.72-12 ml). Conclusion With operability and general applicability, it is possible to increase the success rate of CEB for anorectal surgery to 99% as well as decrease the incidence of anesthesia-related complications. CEB can meet the needs of patients for rapid postoperative rehabilitation, improve patient satisfaction, and lay a solid foundation for postoperative analgesia.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Mango anthracnose is among the most severe diseases impacting mango yields and quality. While this disease can be effectively controlled through chemical means, it is vital that appropriate field efficacy and fate determination studies be conducted when applying pesticides to crops in order to appropriately gauge the ecological and health risks associated with the use of these agents. RESULTS GAP field trials were conducted to explore the efficacy, dissipation, and terminal residues associated with the application of mefentrifluconazole and pyraclostrobin to mango crops in six locations throughout China. These analyses revealed that three applications of mefentrifluconazole [160 mg active ingredient (a.i.) kg-1 ] in combination with pyraclostrobin mixture achieved satisfactory disease control efficacy. To simultaneously detect mefentrifluconazole and pyraclostrobin residues on mangoes, a 'quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged and safe' (QuEChERS) high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS)-based approach was established. The initial mefentrifluconazole and pyraclostrobin concentrations ranged from 0.18 to 0.34 mg kg-1 , and these two compounds exhibited respective half-lives of 5.6 to 10.8 days and 5.5 to 9.0 days. At 21 days following foliage application, the terminal mefentrifluconazole and pyraclostrobin residue concentrations were 0.02-0.04 and 0.01-0.04 mg kg-1 , with these concentrations being below the maximum residue limit (MRL) established for pyraclostrobin. Both short-term [acute reference dose percent (ARfD%) 0.78-2.36% and 2.0-6.08%] and chronic [acceptable daily intake percent (ADI%) 0.08-0.47% and 0.09-0.55%] dietary intake risk assessments for mefentrifluconazole and pyraclostrobin indicated that these terminal residue concentrations are acceptable for the general population. CONCLUSION Mefentrifluconazole and pyraclostrobin in mango was rapidly degraded following first-order kinetics models. The dietary risk of mefentrifluconazole and pyraclostrobin through mango was negligible to consumers. The application of a 400 g L-1 mefentrifluconazole-pyraclostrobin suspension concentrate mixture represents a highly efficacious fungicidal approach to controlling mango anthracnose that exhibits significant potential for development as it is easily degraded and associated with low residual concentrations after application. © 2022 Society of Chemical Industry.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Neostigmine used to reverse the muscle relaxants should be guided by neuromuscular monitoring, as the degree of spontaneous pre-reversal recovery is the key to success to reverse the neuromuscular block. But neuromuscular monitoring is not always available for some patients during anesthesia and, in consequence, we need to use other clinical judgment to guide the use of neostigmine to reverse the neuromuscular block. In this trial, we aimed to evaluate the incidence of residual neuromuscular blockade (rNMB) in pediatric patients with routine use of neostigmine after recovery of spontaneous breathing compared with the patients with the use of neostigmine guided by neuromuscular monitoring. METHODS A parallel, randomized, controlled noninferiority study was conducted. We enrolled aged 3 months to 12 years old patients who underwent inguinal hernia repair under general anesthesia. The enrolled patients were randomly divided into experimental and control groups. After surgery, children in the experimental group were given 0.02 mg/kg neostigmine after recovery of spontaneous breathing. Children in the control group were given 0.02 mg/kg neostigmine when the train-of-four (TOF) ratio was between 0.4 and 0.9. However, no neostigmine was administered if the TOF ratio was higher than 0.9. The primary outcome was the incidence of rNMB after extubation (TOF ratio < 0.9). Secondary outcomes included the incidence of neostigmine-induced muscle paralysis, end of surgery - extubation interval, end of surgery - exit OR interval, the length of stay in the PACU, the incidence of hypoxia in the PACU, the number of children who required assisted ventilation during the PACU stay, and neostigmine-related adverse events. RESULTS A total of 120 children were included in this study, with 60 in the experimental group and 60 in the control group. There was no significant difference in the incidence of rNMB after extubation between the groups (45/60 vs 44/60, RR 1.02 [95% CI, 0.83 to 1.26], p = 0.84). There was no neostigmine-induced muscle paralysis in either group. Adverse events were similar occurred in both groups. However, time from end of the surgery to leaving the operating room was earlier in the experimental group than in the control group (13.6 ± 5.2 vs 15.7 ± 5.6 min, MD -2.10 min [95% CI, -3.70 to -0.50], p = 0.04). The risk ratio of the incidence of TOF ratio < 0.3 for the experimental group was 31.12 (95%CI, 1.89 to 512.61) compared with the control group (12/60 vs 0/60, p = 0.00) in exploratory analysis. CONCLUSIONS Recovery of spontaneous breathing could be used as a substitute of neuromuscular monitoring to guide neostigmine use in pediatric patients following minor surgeries. Abstract
BACKGROUND Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute myeloid leukemia (Ph+ AML) is a provisional disease entity in the 2016 WHO classification, while its genetic profile of Ph+ AML remains poorly defined. In addition, the differentiating features of Ph+ AML and chronic myeloid leukemia in myeloid blast crisis (CML-MBC) remain controversial. METHODS We conducted a retrospective study of 15 Ph+ AML patients to compare their clinical and laboratory profiles with 27 CML-MBC patients. RESULTS Compared to CML-MBC, Ph+ AML patients presented with significantly higher peripheral WBC count and bone marrow blast percentage. The immunophenotypic profiles were largely similar between Ph+ AML and CML-MBC, except for CD4 expression, which was significantly enriched in CML-MBC. Ph+ AML patients less frequently harboured co-occurring additional cytogenetic abnormalities (ACA) compared to CML-MBC, and trisomy 19 (23%) and IDH1/2 (46%) were the most common ACA and mutated genes in Ph+ AML, respectively. Overall survival (OS) did not significantly differ between Ph+ AML and CML-MBC. Ph+ AML without CML-like features appeared to have a better outcome compared to Ph+ AML with CML-like features; ACA in Ph+ AML may confer an even worse prognosis. CONCLUSIONS Our results indicate that patients with Ph+ AML share similar genetic profiles and clinical outcomes with those with CML-MBC, thus should be classified as a high-risk entity.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Stroke remains the second cause of death worldwide. The mechanisms underlying the adverse association of exposure to traffic-related air pollution (TRAP) with overall cardiovascular disease may also apply to stroke. Our objective was to systematically evaluate the epidemiological evidence regarding the associations of long-term exposure to TRAP with stroke. METHODS PubMed and LUDOK electronic databases were searched systematically for observational epidemiological studies from 1980 through 2019 on long-term exposure to TRAP and stroke with an update in January 2022. TRAP was defined according to a comprehensive protocol based on pollutant and exposure assessment methods or proximity metrics. Study selection, data extraction, risk of bias (RoB) and confidence assessments were conducted according to standardized protocols. We performed meta-analyses using random effects models; sensitivity analyses were assessed by geographic area, RoB, fatality, traffic specificity and new studies. RESULTS Nineteen studies were included. The meta-analytic relative risks (and 95% confidence intervals) were: 1.03 (0.98-1.09) per 1 μg/m3 EC, 1.09 (0.96-1.23) per 10 μg/m3 PM10, 1.08 (0.89-1.32) per 5 μg/m3 PM2.5, 0.98 (0.92; 1.05) per 10 μg/m3 NO2 and 0.99 (0.94; 1.04) per 20 μg/m3 NOx with little to moderate heterogeneity based on 6, 5, 4, 7 and 8 studies, respectively. The confidence assessments regarding the quality of the body of evidence and separately regarding the presence of an association of TRAP with stroke considering all available evidence were rated low and moderate, respectively. CONCLUSION The available literature provides low to moderate evidence for an association of TRAP with stroke.

Abstract
The presence of pesticides in foodstuffs has received increasing amount of attention worldwide. In this study, an efficient and sensitive QuEChERS/HPLC-MS/MS-based method was established for the simultaneous detection of indaziflam, cyantraniliprole, spirotetramat, and their metabolites on fruits and vegetables. The purification procedure and detection condition parameters were optimized. Good precision and reproducibility were found for the method, and the average recoveries of the target analytes ranged from 71 to 118%, with the relative standard deviation ranging from 2 to 12%. The limits of quantification and the limits of detection were 1-5 and 0.3-1.5 μg kg-1, respectively. The proposed method was used to detect three pesticides and their metabolites in fruit and vegetable samples collected from China's major producing regions. Furthermore, the dietary risk posed by the pesticide residues on fruits and vegetables was evaluated by risk quotients (RQs) and risk probabilities (RPs). The RQ and RP values were less than 100% for Chinese consumers. This study not only provides a reliable analytical method for monitoring purposes but also serves as a significant guide for food safety and export.

Abstract
Objective This study aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of belimumab for treating children with refractory childhood-onset systemic lupus erythematosus (cSLE). Methods Twenty-six cSLE patients who received belimumab treatment in our hospital from January 2020 to September 2021 (23 of them for more than 52 weeks) were enrolled in this study. Their clinical and laboratory data, assessment of disease activity, glucocorticoid dosage, and treatment-emergent adverse events (TEAEs) were retrieved for analysis. The paired samples t-test and the nonparametric test were used to compare the baseline and post-treatment data. Results The mean age of onset was 10.3 ± 2.4 years old; the mean disease duration was 41.6 ± 37.4 months; the median Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Disease Activity Index 2000 (SLEDAI-2K) score was 10 (P 25, P 75: 3, 17); and the mean Physician's Global Assessment (PGA) score at baseline was 1.9 ± 1.0. Compared with the baseline values, there was a significant decrease in the 24-h urine protein quantifications at 24 and 52 weeks of treatment (P<0.05) as well as an elevated complement (C) 3 and C4 levels at 4, 12, 24, and 52 weeks of treatment. In addition, the SLEDAI-2K and PGA scores as well as the percentage of CD19+ B cells were significantly decreased at 12, 24, and 52 weeks of treatment compared with the baseline values (P<0.05). The dosage of glucocorticoid at 4, 12, 24, and 52 weeks of treatment was significantly less than that at baseline or the previous follow-up (P<0.05). At 52 weeks, 14 subjects (53.8%) achieved Lupus Low Disease Activity State (LLDAS), and 4 subjects (15.4%) reached clinical remission (CR). At the last follow-up, 16 subjects (61.5%) achieved LLDAS, and 10 subjects (38.5%) reached CR. Conclusions Belimumab treatment can significantly improve laboratory indicators, reduce disease activity, and decrease the dosage of glucocorticoid required in children with cSLE. Moreover, it has a good safety profile.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical characteristics and treatment of pancreatic pseudocyst after pegaspargase treatment in children. Methods: The clinical data of 6 children with pancreatic pseudocyst after pegaspargase treatment in the Department of Pediatrics in Peking University Third Hospital from July 2018 to February 2021 were analyzed retrospectively. Results: There were 4 males and 2 females, and their age of onset was 9.5 (5.8, 13.0) years. The total number of pegaspargase applications was 2.5 (2.0, 3.5) times. The course from the last dose of pegaspargase to the onset of pancreatitis was 11.0 (9.0, 17.2) days, and 42.5 (35.0, 129.5) days from the onset of pancreatitis to the diagnosis of pancreatic pseudocyst. Abdominal pain was the most prominent manifestation of pancreatitis (6/6). All of the 6 children were asymptomatic when pancreatic pseudocyst was noted, and were treated conservatively at first, but one case later developed intermittent abdominal distension or nausea after eating. All the cases had pancreatic pseudocyst enlargement during the conservative treatment. Three children were treated with endoscopic ultrasound-guided transgastric drainage, and the cyst disappeared from 10 days to 4 months after the operation. The other 3 children received endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)-guided transpapillary drainage, but one of them turned to surgery due to pancreatic duct stricture, and in the rest 2 children the cyst disappeared at 1 and 3 months after operation respectively. Regarding safety issues, 1 child who received ERCP-guided transpapillary drainage had acute postoperative pancreatitis, which were improved after treatment, and the other 5 had no complications. Conclusions: Pancreatic pseudocyst after pegaspargase chemotherapy can be asymptomatic in the early stage, and should be diagnosed with a history of pegaspargase treatment and timely imaging examination. Conservative treatment is the first choice for asymptomatic pseudocyst. When the pseudocyst enlarges, different endoscopic drainage treatments are required according to whether the pseudocyst is connected with the main pancreatic duct.

Abstract
Stem cell and cell therapies, particularly autologous cell therapies, are becoming a common practice. However, in order for these technologies to achieve wide-scale clinical application, the prohibitively high cost associated with these therapies must be addressed through creative engineering. Membranes can be a disruptive technology to reshape the bioprocessing and manufacture of cellular products and significantly reduce the cost of autologous cell therapies. Examples of successful membrane applications include expansions of CAR-T cells, various human stem cells, and production of extracellular vesicles (EVs) using hollow fibre membrane bioreactors. Novel membranes with tailored functions and surface properties and novel membrane modules that can accommodate the changing needs for surface area and transport properties are to be developed to fulfil this key role.

Abstract
BACKGROUD At present, there is no definitive conclusion about the relative prognostic factors on intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma perihilar large duct type (iCCAphl) and iCCA peripheral small duct type (iCCApps). AIM OF THE STUDY To compare the prognoses of two different types of iCCA, and identify the independent risk factors affecting the long-term survival of patients undergoing radical resection for iCCA. METHODS This study included 89 patients with iCCA who underwent radical resection at the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery of the East Yard of the Shandong Provincial Hospital between January 2013 and March 2022. According to the tumor origin, these patients were divided into the iCCAphl group (n = 37) and iCCApps group (n = 52). The prognoses of the two groups were compared using Kaplan-Meier analysis, whereas the independent risk factors of their prognoses were identified using Cox univariate and multivariate regression analyses. RESULTS In the iCCApps group, the independent risk factors for overall survival included diabetes history (p = 0.006), lymph node metastasis (p = 0.040), and preoperative carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (p = 0.035). In the iCCAphl group, the independent risk factors for overall survival included multiple tumors (p = 0.010), tumor differentiation grade (p = 0.008), and preoperative jaundice (p = 0.009). CONCLUSIONS Among the iCCA patients who underwent radical resection, the long-term prognosis of iCCApps maybe better than that of iCCAphl. The prognoses of these two types of iCCA were affected by different independent risk factors.

Abstract
BACKGROUND To investigate the role of circNFIB in the alleviation of myocardial fibrosis by endogenous sulfur dioxide (SO2). METHODS We stimulated cultured neonatal rat cardiac fibroblasts with transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) and developed an in vitro myocardial fibrosis model. Lentivirus vectors containing aspartate aminotransferase 1 (AAT1) cDNA were used to overexpress AAT1, and siRNA was used to silence circNFIB. The SO2, collagen, circNFIB, Wnt/β-catenin, and p38 MAPK pathways were examined in each group. RESULTS In the in vitro TGF-β1-induced myocardial fibrosis model, endogenous SO2/AAT1 expression was significantly decreased, and collagen levels in the cell supernatant and type I and III collagen expression, as well as α-SMA expression, were all significantly increased. TGF-β1 also significantly reduced circNFIB expression. AAT1 overexpression significantly reduced myocardial fibrosis while significantly increasing circNFIB expression. Endogenous SO2 alleviated myocardial fibrosis after circNFIB expression was blocked. We discovered that circNFIB plays an important role in the alleviation of myocardial fibrosis by endogenous SO2 by inhibiting the Wnt/β-catenin and p38 MAPK pathways. CONCLUSION Endogenous SO2 promotes circNFIB expression, which inhibits the Wnt/β-catenin and p38 MAPK signaling pathways, consequently alleviating myocardial fibrosis.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Acute myeloid leukemia with myelodysplasia-related changes (AML-MRC) generally confers poor prognosis, however, patient outcomes are heterogeneous. The impact of TP53 allelic state and variant allele frequency (VAF) in AML-MRC remains poorly defined. METHODS We retrospectively evaluated 266 AML-MRC patients who had NGS testing at our institution from 2014 to 2020 and analyzed their clinical outcomes based on clinicopathological features. RESULTS TP53 mutations were associated with cytogenetic abnormalities in 5q, 7q, 17p, and complex karyotype. Prognostic evaluation of TP53MUT AML-MRC revealed no difference in outcome between TP53 double/multi-hit state and single-hit state. Patients with high TP53MUT variant allele frequency (VAF) had inferior outcomes compared to patients with low TP53MUT VAF. When compared to TP53WT patients, TP53MUT patients had inferior outcomes regardless of MRC-defining criteria, TP53 allelic state, or VAF. TP53 mutations and elevated serum LDH were independent predictors for inferior OS and EFS, while PHF6 mutations and transplantation were independent predictors for favorable OS and EFS. NRAS mutation was an independent predictor for favorable EFS. CONCLUSIONS Our study suggests that TP53MUT AML-MRC defines a very-high-risk subentity of AML in which novel therapies should be explored.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND AIMS The main limitation of plastic stents is the relatively short stent patency due to occlusion. We designed enteral extended biliary stents with lengths of 26 cm (EEBS-26 cm) and 30 cm (EEBS-30 cm) to prolong stent patency. This study aimed to compare patency among EEBS-26 cm, EEBS-30 cm, and conventional plastic biliary stent (CPBS). METHODS A single-center prospective randomized controlled study was conducted. Eligible patients were randomized into the EEBS-26 cm, EEBS-30 cm, and CPBS groups, respectively. All patients were followed up every 3 months until stent occlusion, patient death, or at 12-month follow-up. The primary outcome was stent patency. The secondary outcomes included stent occlusion rate, patient survival, mortality, the rate of technical success, and adverse events. RESULTS Totally 117 patients were randomized into the three groups. There were no significant differences among the three groups in technical success rate, hospital stay, mortality, patient survival, and adverse events (P = 1.000, 0.553, 0.965, 0.302, and 0.427, respectively). Median stent patency durations in the EEBS-26 cm, EEBS-30 cm, and CPBS groups were 156.0 (95% CI 81.6-230.4) days, 81.0 (95% CI 67.9-94.1) days, and 68.0 (95% CI 20.0-116.0) days, respectively (P = 0.002). The EEBS-26 cm group had longer stent patency compared with the CPBS (P = 0.007) and EEBS-30 cm (P < 0.001) groups. The EEBS-26 cm group had lower stent occlusion rates compared with the other groups at 6 months (48.1% vs. 90.5% vs. 82.8%, P = 0.001) and 9 months (75.0% vs. 100.0% vs. 92.9%, P = 0.022). CONCLUSION EEBS-26 cm has prolonged stent patency and is safe and effective for the alleviation of unresectable extrahepatic malignant biliary obstruction.

Abstract
Amygdalus mongolica oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids such as inoleic acid (47.11%) and oleic acid (23.81%). Our research demonstrates that it exerts a protective effect on rat models of pulmonary fibrosis, however, little is known regarding the underlying mechanism of action. This study aimed to characterize the therapeutic mechanism of action of A. mongolica oil on bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis in rats. A. mongolica oil appears to regulate the levels of potential key serum biomarkers which include tetrahydrobiopterin, L-serine, citrulline and estradiol to participate in folate biosynthesis, glycine, serine and threonine metabolism, arginine biosynthesis and steroid hormone biosynthesis. And it also enriched intestinal microbial abundance, homogeneity and modulated the abundance of Duncaniell, Desulfovibrio, Peptococcaceae_unclassified, Dubosiella, Tyzzerella, Lachnospiraceae_NK4A136_group, Lactobacillus, Clostridiales_unclassified to exert a protective effect against pulmonary fibrosis. A. mongolica oil appears to confer protective effects against pulmonary fibrosis by affecting the level of pulmonary fibrosis metabolites and the abundance of related intestinal flora through multiple targets, as evidenced by our untargeted LC-MS/MS metabonomics evaluation and 16S rDNA sequencing technology.

Abstract
Aggressive angiomyxoma (AAM) is an uncommon locally infiltrative tumor that frequently occurs in the pelvic soft tissues of female patients; it has a high rate of local recurrence. However, AAM is extremely rare in males. Herein, we present the case of a 70-year-old man with a gradually enlarging painless mass in the scrotum. The patient underwent local excision of the scrotal AAM, with no local relapse after 17 months of follow-up. In addition to the present case, the clinicopathological features of males with AAM reported in literature (to the best of our knowledge) are discussed in this report. The literature review revealed that the gross morphology, clinical process, and histopathology of AAM in males resemble those of AAM in females. In particular, estrogen receptor/progesterone receptor has been shown to be expressed in male patients, which may provide an option for hormone therapy. Moreover, in males, a lower recurrence rate has been observed after surgery to remove the tumor. However, more data are needed to validate this observation. This report emphasizes the importance of considering AAM as the differential diagnosis of myxoid neoplasms in male genital areas.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The subgenus Gynopodium belonging to genus Magnolia have high ornamental, economic, and ecological value. Subgenus Gynopodium contains eight species, but six of these species are threatened. No studies to date have characterized the characteristics of the chloroplast genomes (CPGs) within subgenus Gynopodium species. In this study, we compared the structure of CPGs, identified the mutational hotspots and resolved the phylogenetic relationship of subgenus Gynopodium. RESULTS The CPGs of six subgenus Gynopodium species ranged in size from 160,027 bp to 160,114 bp. A total of 131 genes were identified, including 86 protein-coding genes, eight ribosomal RNA genes, and 37 transfer RNA genes. We detected neither major expansions or contractions in the inverted repeat region, nor rearrangements or insertions in the CPGs of six subgenus Gynopodium species. A total of 300 large repeat sequences (forward, reverse, and palindrome repeats), 847 simple sequence repeats, and five highly variable regions were identified. One gene (ycf1) and four intergenic regions (psbA-trnH-GUG, petA-psbJ, rpl32-trnL-UAG, and ccsA-ndhD) were identified as mutational hotspots by their high nucleotide diversity (Pi) values (≥ 0.004), which were useful for species discrimination. Maximum likelihood and Bayesian inference trees were concordant and indicated that Magnoliaceae consisted of two genera Liriodendron and Magnolia. Six species of subgenus Gynopodium clustered as a monophyletic clade, forming a sister clade with subgenus Yulania (BS = 100%, PP = 1.00). Due to the non-monophyly of subgenus Magnolia, subgenus Gynopodium should be treated as a section of Magnolia. Within section Gynopodium, M. sinica diverged first (posterior probability = 1, bootstrap = 100), followed by M. nitida, M. kachirachirai and M. lotungensis. M. omeiensis was sister to M. yunnanensis (posterior probability = 0.97, bootstrap = 50). CONCLUSION The CPGs and characteristics information provided by our study could be useful in species identification, conservation genetics and resolving phylogenetic relationships of Magnoliaceae species.

Abstract
Taihu Lake is the third-largest freshwater lake in eastern China. The contamination of heavy metals (HMs) in Taihu Lake resulting from rapid economic development and population growth has raised significant concerns in recent years. In this study, the contents and spatial distributions of eight typical HMs (Hg, Cr(VI), As, Cd, Cu, Ni, Pb, and Zn) in the fresh surface water and sediments from Taihu Lake were investigated. The potential ecological and health risks posed by HMs were evaluated using multiple assessment methods. Risk quotients were used to assess the ecological risks of HMs, and chronic risk quotients of Cu, Ni, and Pb (>1.0) were found in the surface water of Taihu Lake. According to the geo-accumulation index (Igeo) and pollution load index (PLI) values, the lake sediments exhibited moderate risks of Cd and Hg. In general, the sediments were moderately contaminated by HMs based on the average risk index (RI < 300). Spatially, a high ecological risk posed by the HMs existed in the sediments of northern Taihu Lake (RI > 300), while the sediments in the southwestern and eastern regions had moderate risk levels. The non-carcinogenic risk levels of Hg, Cd, Cu, and Zn were acceptable based on the exposure characteristics of residents living around Taihu Lake. The carcinogenic risk levels of Cr(VI), As, Pb, and Ni through drinking water were acceptable. However, the ingestion of Cr(VI), As, and Ni through drinking water and fish consumption may pose certain health risks. Therefore, the levels of toxic metals, in particular, Cr(VI), As, and Ni, in edible organisms should be monitored periodically and controlled to alleviate the potential carcinogenic risks through food ingestion. Our work provides valuable information concerning the ecological risk distribution of HMs in Taihu Lake, which is essential for protecting the safety of aquatic organisms and human health and minimizing HM pollution in the lake.

Abstract
In this article, we propose a novel method to simultaneously solve the data problem of dirty quality and poor quantity for person reidentification (ReID). Dirty quality refers to the wrong labels in image annotations. Poor quantity means that some identities have very few images (FewIDs). Training with these mislabeled data or FewIDs with triplet loss will lead to low generalization performance. To solve the label error problem, we propose a weighted label correction based on cross-entropy (wLCCE) strategy. Specifically, according to the influence range of the wrong labels, we first classify the mislabeled images into point label error and set label error. Then, we propose a weighted triplet loss (WTL) to correct the two label errors, respectively. To alleviate the poor quantity issue, we propose a feature simulation based on autoencoder (FSAE) method to generate some virtual samples for FewID. For the authenticity of the simulated features, we transfer the difference pattern of identities with multiple images (MultIDs) to FewIDs by training an autoencoder (AE)-based simulator. In this way, the FewIDs obtain richer expressions to distinguish from other identities. By dealing with a dirty and poor data problem, we can learn more robust ReID models using the triplet loss. We conduct extensive experiments on two public person ReID datasets: 1) Market-1501 and 2) DukeMTMC-reID, to verify the effectiveness of our approach.

Atherosclerosis (AS) is a prevalent arteriosclerotic vascular disease that forms a pathological basis for coronary heart disease, stroke, and other diseases. Inflammatory and oxidative stress responses occur throughout the development of AS. Treatment for AS over the past few decades has focused on administering high-intensity statins to reduce blood lipid levels, but these inevitably damage liver and kidney function over the long term. Natural medicines are widely used to prevent and treat AS in China because of their wide range of beneficial effects, low toxicity, and minimal side effects. We searched for relevant literature over the past 5 years in databases such as PubMed using the keywords, “atherosclerosis,” “traditional Chinese medicine,” “natural medicines,” “inflammation,” and “oxidative stress.” We found that the PI3K/AKT, TLR4, JAK/STAT, Nrf2, MAPK, and NF-κB are the most relevant inflammatory and oxidative stress pathways in AS. This review summarizes studies of the natural alkaloid, flavonoid, polyphenol, saponin, and quinone pathways through which natural medicines used to treat AS. This study aimed to update and summarize progress in understanding how natural medicines treat AS via inflammatory and oxidative stress-related signaling pathways. We also planned to create an information base for the development of novel drugs for future AS treatment.
