Abstract
Infectious endocarditis (IE) can be caused by various pathogens, from dominating agents such as viridans group streptococci and staphylococci to rare species that are less virulent and not typically considered to be pathogens. In this study, we have isolated a novel species from a patient with problem of IE which was genetically most closely related to 'Bergeyella cardium', a causative pathogen of IE first reported in Korea in 2015 as a new species of the genus Bergeyella, with a similarity of 98.8% in 16S rRNA sequences. Microbiological characteristics, including morphology, biochemical identification and antimicrobial susceptibility profiling, of this novel species were determined. This fastidious Gram-negative bacillus could only be identified successfully by molecular sequencing analysis at present, and it exhibited low minimum inhibitory concentrations to the antibiotics tested except for aminoglycosides. Phylogeny analysis revealed this novel species clustered well with 'B. cardium' and other close species of genus Bergeyella.

Abstract
The copper-catalyzed cyclization of activated alkenes with cyclobutanone O-acyl oximes under redox-neutral conditions has been reported. This facile protocol provided an efficient approach to a variety of cyanoalkylated oxindoles and dihydroquinolin-2(1H)-ones with a broad substrate scope and excellent functional group tolerance. In this reaction, sequential C-C bond cleavage, radical addition, and cyclization processes were involved, wherein multiple bonds were constructed in a one-pot reaction. Mechanistic studies suggest that the reaction probably proceeded via a radical pathway.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Prenatal lipopolysaccharide (LPS) exposure causes hypertension in rat offspring through an unknown mechanism. Here, we investigated the role of the intrarenal renin-angiotensin system (RAS) in hypertension induced by prenatal LPS exposure and also explored whether adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADSCs) can ameliorate the effects of prenatal LPS exposure in rat offspring. METHODS Sixty-four pregnant rats were randomly divided into 4 groups (n = 16 in each), namely, a control group and an LPS group, which were intraperitoneally injected with vehicle and 0.79 mg/kg LPS, respectively, on the 8th, 10th, and 12th days of gestation; an ADSCs group, which was intravenously injected with 1.8 × 107 ADSCs on the 8th, 10th, and 12th days of gestation; and an LPS + ADSCs group, which received a combination of the treatments administered to the LPS and ADSCs groups. RESULTS Prenatal LPS exposure increased blood pressure, Ang II expression, Ang II-positive, monocyte and lymphocyte, apoptotic cells in the kidney, and induced renal histological changes in offspring; however, the LPS and control groups did not differ significantly with respect to plasma renin activity levels, Ang II levels, or renal function. ADSCs treatment attenuated the blood pressure and also ameliorated the other effects of LPS-treated adult offspring. CONCLUSIONS Prenatal exposure to LPS activates the intrarenal RAS but not the circulating RAS and thus induces increases in blood pressure in adult offspring; however, ADSCs treatment attenuates the blood pressure increases resulting from LPS exposure and also ameliorates the other phenotypic changes induced by LPS treatment by inhibiting intrarenal RAS activation.

Abstract
The study aimed to translate the Depressive Cognition Scale (DCS) into Chinese and to test its reliability and validity among Chinese older people. Using a cross-sectional design, a demographic questionnaire and Chinese versions of the Depressive Cognition Scale (DCS-CHI) and the Center for Epidemiological Studies-Depression Scale (CES-D) were administered. The sample consisted of 1673 older people who were from communities and hospitals. The Cronbach's alpha (α) of DCS-CHI was 0.91, and the test-retest correlation coefficient was 0.91 (95% CI, 0.86-0.95, p<0.001). The Content Validity Index (CVI) was found to be good. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) resulted in a single factor that explained 58.46% of the total variance and all 8 items had strong factor loadings ranging from 0.62 to 0.83; confirmatory factory analysis (CFA) indicated all measurements of the structural model exceeded the recommended criteria, and the single factor solution of DCS-CHI had a good fit (χ2/df=2.45, GFI=0.99, AGFI=0.97, CFI=0.99, TLI=0.99, RMSEA=0.04, RMR=0.01, PCLOSE=0.79). The strong correlation of 0.81 (p<0.01) between the DCS-CHI and CES-D suggested good concurrent validity. Specifying the CES-D as the criterion, the area under the receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve of the DCS-CHI for the optimal cut-point was 0.941(95%CI:0.919-0.963, p=0.000), the sensitivity and the specificity were 84.7% and 90.7% respectively, suggesting good predictive validity. The findings support the reliability and validity of the DCS-CHI as a measure of depressive cognitions that typically proceed more serious depressive symptoms among Chinese older adults.

Abstract
AIM To investigate the species distribution and antifungal susceptibility profiles of yeast isolates causing invasive infections across Beijing. MATERIALS & METHODS A total of 1201 yeast isolates recovered from blood and other sterile body fluids were correctly identified by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization TOF MS supplemented by DNA sequencing. Antifungal susceptibility testing was performed according to the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute broth microdilution method. RESULTS Candida (95.5%) remained the most common yeast species isolated; Candida albicans (38.8%) and Candida parapsilosis (22.6%) were the leading species of candidemia. Azole resistances were mainly observed in Candida glabrata and Candida tropicalis isolates. CONCLUSION This study outlined the epidemiologic data of invasive yeast infections and highlighted the need for continuous monitoring of azole resistances among C. glabrata and C. tropicalis isolates in Beijing.

Abstract
An efficient visible-light-induced decarboxylative coupling between α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acids and alkyl N-hydroxyphthalimide esters has been developed. A wide range of redox-active esters derived from aliphatic carboxylic acids (1°, 2° and 3°) proved viable in this dual decarboxylation process, affording a broad scope of substituted alkenes in moderate to excellent yields with good E/Z selectivities. This redox-neutral procedure was highlighted by its mild conditions, operational simplicity, easy accessibility of carboxylic acids, and excellent functional-group tolerance.

Abstract
Objective Phosphorylated mammalian target of rapamycin (p-mTOR) is a promising prognostic marker in many types of cancer. However, its survival benefit in patients with breast carcinoma remains unknown. The aim of the present study was to assess the relationship between p-mTOR expression and prognosis in breast carcinoma based on a systematic review and meta-analysis. Materials and Methods Electronic databases (including Pubmed, Embase, ISI web of science, and Cochrane Library) were searched up to November 24, 2015. The outcome measures were hazard ratios (HRs) with 95% confidence interval (CI) for the association between the prognosis of breast carcinoma patients and p-mTOR expression. Primary end points were disease-free survival (DFS), overall survival (OS), and recurrence-free survival (RFS). Statistical analysis was performed with STATA 12.0. Results Nine cohort studies including 3051 patients met full eligibility criteria. The pooled HRs (95% CI) for OS, DFS, and RFS were 0.84 (0.27–2.63), 0.71 (0.40–1.23), and 0.48 (0.20–1.18), respectively. Conclusions Our findings suggested that p-mTOR overexpression was not significantly related to prognosis in breast carcinoma regarding OS and disease recurrence. Prospective studies are warranted to examine the association between p-mTOR expression and survival outcomes in breast carcinoma.

Abstract
The antithrombotic effect of Caragana jubata (Pall.)Poir.ethanolic extract (TE)was evaluated by inferior vena cava thrombosis in rats and acute pulmonary thrombosis in mice. To search for the bioactive fractions of TE, comparison on acute pulmonary thrombosis was made between the two main fractions of TE (TE-1 and TE-2). Besides, pharmacological effects of TE, TE-1 and TE-2 on bleeding time and clotting time were also studied. Reference substances combined with UPLC/DAD-q-TOF-MS were applied to identify the main six compounds and other chemical constituents of the TE. The results showed that TE could significantly reduce the rat thrombosis weight in all doses (P<0.01) and improve the protective rate to mice in medium and high doses (P<0.05). TE-2 showed a stronger effect on protecting the mice from paralysis or death and prolonging the bleeding time and clotting time than TE-1. Chemical constituents in TE mainly include isoflavones, pterocarpans and stilbenoids. Constituents in TE-2 were mainly isoflavones and pterocarpans, while those in TE-1 were mainly stilbenoids, which could be inferred that all of these three kinds of constituents may be responsible for the antithrombotic effects of Caragana jubata.

Abstract
AbstractDecomposition of flue gas desulfurization (FGD) gypsum in the presence of (10 mass %) magnetite and different mass fractions of anthracite, as a reducer, has been investigated under microwave irradiation in air atmosphere. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to characterize the decomposition residues. Both experiment results and theoretical analysis indicated that the optimum amount of anthracite added to the FGD gypsum (10 mass %) magnetite mixture was 8 mass %. Under optimum conditions, the maximum desulfurization degree after microwave treatment for 60 min at 1000°C was 93.86 %. Due to microwave heating and calcium ferrite formation, the decomposition temperature of FGD gypsum decreased to around 800°C in air atmosphere. Based on the XRD patterns and SEM images, the reaction of CaSO
