Abstract
An amplitude analysis of flavor-untagged B_{s}^{0}→J/ψpp[over ¯] decays is performed using a sample of 797±31 decays reconstructed with the LHCb detector. The data, collected in proton-proton collisions between 2011 and 2018, correspond to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb^{-1}. Evidence for a new structure in the J/ψp and J/ψp[over ¯] systems with a mass of 4337_{-4}^{+7} _{-2}^{+2} MeV and a width of 29_{-12}^{+26} _{-14}^{+14} MeV is found, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic, with a significance in the range of 3.1 to 3.7σ, depending on the assigned J^{P} hypothesis.

[PMID: 35209636 DOI: 10.1364/oe.450092] [Citation(s) in RCA: 3] [Impact Index Per Article: 1.5] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Track Full Text] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 11/30/2021] [Accepted: 01/13/2022] [Indexed: 06/14/2023]
Abstract
In this article, the chalcogenide slot waveguide is theoretically studied, and the highest power confinement factors of the slot region and the cladding region are obtained to be 36.3% and 56.7%, respectively. A high-sensitivity chalcogenide slot microring resonator sensor is designed and fabricated by electron-beam lithography and dry etching. The structure increases the sensitivity of the sensor compared with the conventional evanescent field waveguide sensor. The cavity has achieved a quality factor of 1 × 104 by fitting the resonant peaks with the Lorentzian profile, one of the highest quality factors reported for chalcogenide slot microring resonators. The sensor sensitivity is measured to be 471 nm/RIU, which leads to an intrinsic limit of detection of 3.3 × 10--4 RIU.

Abstract
Branching fraction and effective lifetime measurements of the rare decay B_{s}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-} and searches for the decays B^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-} and B_{s}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-}γ are reported using proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to a luminosity of 9 fb^{-1}. The branching fraction B(B_{s}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-})=(3.09_{-0.43-0.11}^{+0.46+0.15})×10^{-9} and the effective lifetime τ(B_{s}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-})=2.07±0.29±0.03 ps are measured, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. No significant signal for B^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-} and B_{s}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-}γ decays is found and upper limits B(B^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-})<2.6×10^{-10} and B(B_{s}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-}γ)<2.0×10^{-9} at the 95% C.L. are determined, where the latter is limited to the range m_{μμ}>4.9 GeV/c^{2}. The results are in agreement with the standard model expectations.

Effect of pathological complete response after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy on postoperative complications of rectal cancer: a systematic review and meta-analysis. Tech Coloproctol 2022; 26:163-174. Abstract
BACKGROUND Standard total mesorectal resection has become an important treatment option for locally advanced or high-risk rectal cancer after neoadjuvant chemo-radiotherapy. 15-27% of patients can achieve pathological complete response (PCR) after neoadjuvant chemo-radiotherapy (nCRT). However, the relationship between PCR and postoperative complications remains an important unsolved problem. The objective of this study was to determine whether PCR was associated with the rate of postoperative complications. METHODS This meta-analysis was implemented following the recommendations from Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses. We searched electronic literature by PubMed, EMBASE, and Google Scholar. Major outcomes of interest included anastomotic leakage, surgical-site infection, reoperation, and any postoperative complications. Other outcomes comprised postoperative hemorrhage, ileus, and mortality. RESULTS Eleven thousand two hundred ninety patients in 9 studies were included in the meta-analysis. The pooled analysis revealed that patients with PCR did not have a higher risk of anastomotic leakage (OR = 1.22, 95% CI 0.92-1.62, p = 0.17), reoperation (OR = 1.13, 95% CI 0.93-1.37, p = 0.22), and any postoperative complications (OR = 1.02, 95% CI 0.91-1.15, p = 0.72) than patients with non-PCR. However, the meta-analysis showed that the PCR group was superior to the non-PCR group in terms of surgical-site infection (9.38% vs. 12.44%OR = 0.68, 95% CI 0.47-0.98; p = 0.04). CONCLUSION PCR might not be related to the occurrence of postoperative complications in rectal cancer patients following nCRT. In addition, PCR might be associated with a lower risk of surgical-site infection.

Abstract
Objective: The aim of the present study was to re-evaluate the diagnostic value and optimal cutoff point of captopril challenge test (CCT) in diagnosis of primary aldosteronism (PA). Methods: This is a retrospective study. All patients with a high risk for PA underwent screening test, and then proceeded to CCT and fludrocortisone suppression test (FST) on different days. The FST was used as a reference standard for PA. The plasma renin concentration (PRC) and plasma aldosterone concentration (PAC) were measured with an automated chemiluminescence immunoassay. Random number method was performed in the patients with unilateral primary aldosteronism (UPA), in order to make the proportion of the analyzed UPA in PA was 35%. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analyses were performed to compare diagnostic accuracy. Results: A total of 543 patients with 400 PA patients and 143 essential hypertension (EH) patients were enrolled. The diagnostic value of post-CCT PAC was significantly higher than that of the post-CCT plasma aldosterone-renin ratio (ARR), and that of the PAC suppression percentage, respectively. The area under the ROC curve (AUCROC) was 0.86 (0.83, 0.89) for PAC, 0.78 (0.74, 0.82) for ARR, and 0.62 (0.56, 0.67) for the PAC suppression percentage (all P<0.01), respectively. The optimal cutoff point of post-CCT PAC for PA was 110 ng/L, in which the sensitivity and specificity were 73.25% and 79.02%, respectively. The diagnostic efficiency of post-CCT PAC was not improved either in combination with PAC suppression percentage or in combination with post-CCT ARR. Conclusions: CCT is a useful test for the confirmation of PA. PAC level of 110 ng/L at 2 h after 50 mg of captopril is recommended as an optimal cutoff point for the diagnosis of PA.

Abstract
Population aging will inevitably bring an increasing burden of poor cognitive function. The risk factors for cognitive decline have been widely studied. Even though environmental hazards have the greatest adverse impacts on older adults and the existing evidence has shown that green space, air pollution, and weather have an impact on cognitive function, most of the studies were conducted in developed countries and limited to cross-sectional analyses. China has the largest aging population in the world so the research evidence from it can offer an insight to the study in other developing countries facing similar issues and inform future public health policy and disease control. Using the data from a nationally representative sample of adults aged 45 years and older from the three waves of China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS 2011-2015) and China City Statistical Yearbook, this study estimated multilevel growth curve models for the effects of green space coverage, air pollution, and weather conditions on cognitive function and cognitive decline. It showed that after controlling for sociodemographic characteristics, built area green coverage rate was positively associated with cognition score at baseline, and higher annual minimum temperature was associated with faster decline in cognitive function. These effects did not substantially change after weekly total hours of physical activities and levels of social engagement were added and the interaction effects were examined between environmental conditions with them, respectively. More research on the mechanisms of the effects of environmental factors on cognition is needed such as the subgroup analyses.

Abstract
Abstract
Older adults are more vulnerable to neighborhood physical and social conditions due to longer exposure, increased vulnerability, changing spatial use, and a greater reliance on access to community sources of integration. Previous research has demonstrated an association between neighborhood environments and cognitive function in older adults. However, most studies were cross-sectional, focused on western countries, and did not examine potential moderating factors. This study examined gender and age variations in the relationship between neighborhood environments and cognitive decline in middle and old age in a developing country that is experiencing rapid population aging and rising prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Using data from a nationally representative sample of adults aged 45 years and older from the three waves of China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS 2011-2015), this study estimated multilevel growth curve models for the effects of neighborhood environments on cognitive decline separately for men and women and for those aged 45 to 64 and those aged 65 and above. It showed that the cross-sectional effect of outdoor facility and longitudinal effect of handicapped access were more significant for men, but the cross-sectional effect of community social participation and longitudinal effects of raining days, number of disasters, employment service, and community SES were more significant for women. The cross-sectional effect of infrastructure advantages and longitudinal effects of employment service and old age income support were more significant for adults aged 65 and over. These findings suggest that community-level interventions may be more beneficial for older women.

Abstract
It is a case found during routine reexamination one year after implantable Collamer lens (ICL) implantation. The patient had no complaints. The naked eye visual acuity of the left eye was 1.0, and abnormal blood vessels were seen in the supranasal retina. After fluorescein fundus angiography and sweep source OCTA, it was finally diagnosed as retinoschisis with microvascular anomalies of the left eye. This case suggests that the fundus of patients with high myopia without complaint should also be examined in detail and comprehensively. In addition to paying attention to peripheral retinopathy, the posterior pole and middle peripheral retina should be carefully examined, especially the areas that cannot be covered by conventional OCT.(Chin J Ophthalmol, 2021, 57: 944-945).

Abstract
Objective: To understand the epidemiological and pathogenic characteristics of Legionella pneumophila in shower water of public places in Ma'anshan City from 2019 to 2020, and to provide scientific basis for further prevention and control of legionellosis. Methods: From 2019 to 2020, according to population density distribution and business scale of bathing places in the main urban area of Ma'anshan City (Huashan District and Yushan District), 8 public bathing places (including 3 large, 3 medium and 2 small) were selected to collect 308 shower water and water storage pool water samples (294 shower water samples and 14 water storage pool water samples). After the collected water samples were treated, cultured, isolated and identified, the type characteristics of Legionella pneumophila were analyzed. Results: Legionella pneumophila were detected in 120 water samples among 308 shower water and water storage pool water samples, with an overall positive rate of 39.0% (120/308). A total of 154 Legionella pneumophila strains were detected, including 10 different serotypes, predominated by serotype 1 (LP1) and serotype 3 (LP3), accounting for 40.9% (63/154) and 22.7% (35/154). Among 154 strains of Legionella pneumophila, 23 strains of Legionella pneumophila were positive for all 14 virulence genes, accounting for 14.9% (23/154), including 19 serotype 1 (LP1) and 4 serotype 8 (LP8). Pulsed field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) cluster analysis of 154 Legionella pneumophila strains showed 60 different patterns. Conclusion: Legionella pneumophila was seriously polluted in the shower water environment of public places in Ma, anshan City. The serotypes are widely distributed and the virulence of the strains is strong. The results of molecular typing show that these strains have genetic diversity.

Abstract
The automatic and accurate segmentation of the prostate cancer from the multi-modal magnetic resonance images is of prime importance for the disease assessment and follow-up treatment plan. However, how to use the multi-modal image features more efficiently is still a challenging problem in the field of medical image segmentation. In this paper, we develop a cross-modal self-attention distillation network by fully exploiting the encoded information of the intermediate layers from different modalities, and the generated attention maps of different modalities enable the model to transfer significant spatial information that contains more details. Moreover, a novel spatial correlated feature fusion module is further employed for learning more complementary correlation and non-linear information of different modality images. We evaluate our model in five-fold cross-validation on 358 MRI images with biopsy confirmed. Without bells and whistles, our proposed network achieves state-of-the-art performance on extensive experiments.

Abstract
The current study aimed to investigate the association between grandparenting and cognitive function over time in noncustodial grandparents in China and the United States. Lagged dependent variable (LDV) approach and linear regression models were applied to analyze a sample of 1,411 Chinese and 6,579 American adults aged 65 and above from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS, 2011-2013) and the U.S. Health and Retirement Study (HRS, 2012-2014). Grandparenting involvement was associated with less decline in episodic memory for grandparents and greater level of grandparenting had no negative effect on mental status and global cognitive function in noncustodial grandparents in China and the United States. The impact of grandparenting on cognitive function was conditioned on caregiving intensity, gender, urban/rural residence, and nation. Findings of the study suggest that greater attention on grandparenting facilitation might yield improved research, social support, policy, and interventions on cognitive health for the general older population.

Abstract
During its first seven years of operation, the Sample Analysis at Mars Tunable Laser Spectrometer (TLS) on board the Curiosity rover has detected seven methane spikes above a low background abundance in Gale crater. The methane spikes are likely sourced by surface emission within or around Gale crater. Here, we use inverse Lagrangian modeling techniques to identify upstream emission regions on the Martian surface for these methane spikes at an unprecedented spatial resolution. Inside Gale crater, the northwestern crater floor casts the strongest influence on the detections. Outside Gale crater, the upstream regions common to all the methane spikes extend toward the north. The contrasting results from two consecutive TLS methane measurements performed on the same sol point to an active emission site to the west or the southwest of the Curiosity rover on the northwestern crater floor. The observed spike magnitude and frequency also favor emission sites on the northwestern crater floor, unless there are fast methane removal mechanisms at work, or either the methane spikes of TLS or the non-detections of ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter cannot be trusted.

Abstract
Objective: The 6th edition American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) staging system for breast cancer classifies ipsilateral supraclavicular lymph node metastasis (ISLM) downing stage from M1 to N3, suggesting more patients might receive radical treatment. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of ISLM on the prognosis of N3 breast cancer and verify the rationality of modified staging. Methods: A total of 321 breast cancer patients with N3 according to the 6th edition AJCC staging system were retrospectively analyzed. Propensity Score Matching (PSM) was used to pair the different subgroups of N3. The primary end point was disease-free survival (DFS), the secondary end point was overall survival (OS). Kaplan-Meier method was used to calculate the DFS and OS. The differences between two groups were analyzed by the Log-rank test. Results: After PSM pairing twice, 78 patients with none-ISLM and 78 patients with ISLM were enrolled in the first group; 51 patients with none-ISLM was compared patients with isolated ISLM in the second group. The results of the two groups showed that patients with none-ISLM have a prolonged DFS (the first group: 58.9 months vs 32.1 months, P=0.101; the second group: 59.0 months vs 44.0 months, P=0.533), while the OS was opposite (the first group: 87.4 months vs 140.4 months, P=0.289; the second group: 87.4 months vs 137.1 months, P=0.289). Conclusions: The prognosis of breast cancer patients with ISLM is similar to that of patients with none-ISLM in stage N3. It is reasonable to include ISLM in N3 in the 6th edition AJCC staging system. Yet, prospective studies with larger sample size are needed to further confirmation.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To detect the binding of Mage-D1 with activated p75NTR and explore their role in regulating mineralization of ectomesenchymal stem cells (EMSCs). METHODS EMSCs were isolated from the tooth germs of embryonic SD rats (19.5 days of gestation) by tissue explant culture and were identified for surface markers using flow cytometry. The cultured cells were divided into blank control group, 100 ng/mL nerve growth factor (NGF) stimulation group, and lentivirus-mediated Mage-D1 interference (SH-Mage-D1) group. Proximity ligation assay was used to detect the binding of Mage-D1 with activated p75NTR in the EMSCs, and the binding strength was compared among the 3 groups. Alizarin red staining and ALP staining were used to observe mineralization of the induced cells. The expressions of ALP, Runx2, OCN, BSP, OPN, Msx1 and Dlx1 at both the mRNA and protein levels were detected using RT-PCR and Western blotting. RESULTS The isolated EMSCs expressed high levels of cell surface markers CD44, CD90, CD29, CD146, and CD105 with a low expression of CD45. The results of proximity ligation assay showed that the binding of Mage-D1 with activated p75NTR in the cells increased over time, and the binding strength was significantly greater in NFG-treated cells than in the cells in the other two groups (P < 0.05). Alizarin red staining and ALP staining of the induced cells showed that the changes in the mineralization nodules were consistent with those of ALP activity. The cells treated with 100 ng/mL NGF exhibited significantly increased expressions of ALP, Runx2, OCN, BSP, OPN, Col1, Msx1 and Dlx1 as compared with the cells in the other two groups (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION Mage-D1 directly binds to activated p75NTR in embryonic rat EMSCs to positively regulate the mineralization of the EMSCs.

Abstract
The branching fraction of the rare B_{s}^{0}→ϕμ^{+}μ^{-} decay is measured using data collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to integrated luminosities of 1, 2, and 6 fb^{-1}, respectively. The branching fraction is reported in intervals of q^{2}, the square of the dimuon invariant mass. In the q^{2} region between 1.1 and 6.0 GeV^{2}/c^{4}, the measurement is found to lie 3.6 standard deviations below a standard model prediction based on a combination of light cone sum rule and lattice QCD calculations. In addition, the first observation of the rare B_{s}^{0}→f_{2}^{'}(1525)μ^{+}μ^{-} decay is reported with a statistical significance of 9 standard deviations and its branching fraction is determined.

Abstract
Objective: To establish the norm of the Chinese version of Karitane Parenting Confidence Scale (KPCS) in urban areas of China. Methods: From August to December 2017, the parents of 2 216 children (<36 months old) were selected from 15 cities (Beijing, Lianyungang, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Xi'an, Guangzhou, Changsha, Jinan, Guiyang, Ningbo, Dalian, Qinhuangdao, Maanshan, Chongqing and Wuhan) in 14 provinces by stratified random sampling. The general demographic characteristics and parents' parenting confidence were collected by a self-made questionnaire and KPCS Chinese version. The percentile norm was established. P3, P10 and P25 were used as the criteria to define the degree of lack of parenting confidence. Results: The age of mothers was (30.67±4.29). The age of the father was (32.50±4.99) years old. There were 726 (32.76%), 759 (34.25%) and 731 (32.99%) infants in 6-12, 12-23 and 24-35 months old groups. The total scores of P50, P25, P10 and P3 of KPCS (Chinese version) of infant parents in urban areas in China were 41, 38, 33, and 29 respectively. When the scores of parents were 34-37, 30-33, and ≤ 29, they were judged as mild, moderate, and severe lack of parenting confidence. There was no significant difference in the Chinese version of KPCS between parents of different age groups and parents of different gender (χ²=3.53, P=0.171; χ²=1.41, P=0.236). Each factor score≤P3 is defined as the boundary score, and the corresponding boundary scores of "parenting" "support" and "competence" were 13, 9, and 5 respectively. Conclusion: The Chinese version of KPCS can be used to assess the parenting confidence of infants in urban areas of China. It can used as one of the bases for scientific and objective evaluation of the parenting status of families.

Abstract
The objective of this retrospective study was to introduce and evaluate an arthroscopic discopexy for closure of retrodiscal tissue perforations. A total of 112 patients (135 joints) receiving an arthroscopic discopexy for management of retrodiscal tissue perforations between January 2016 and September 2019 were included. Pre- and postoperative visual analogue scale (VAS) pain scores and maximum inter-incisal opening (MIO), as well as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data, were collected and analysed. Success was recorded when the disc position was >11 o'clock, VAS pain score <3, and MIO>25 mm. For patients with a condyle deformity, postoperative bone remodelling was also recorded. The VAS pain score decreased from 3.04 ± 2.66 preoperatively to 0.88 ± 1.13 at 12 months postoperatively (P < 0.001) and MIO increased from 33.90 ± 7.39 mm to 35.19 ± 6.14 mm (P = 0.029). MRI evaluation revealed that 133 discs were successfully repositioned back on top of the condyle. Among these, 11 joints were associated with either VAS pain score ≥3 or MIO ≤25 mm. Therefore, a success rate of 90.4% (122/135) was achieved at 12 months postoperative. Bone remodelling was detected in 72 joints. Arthroscopic discopexy is a minimally invasive and effective treatment for retrodiscal tissue perforations that achieves the purpose of simultaneously restoring the intra-articular structures and relieving clinical symptoms.

Abstract
Human induced pluripotent stem cells have the ability to differentiate into specific cell types or tissues of the eye in humans and have application prospects in retinal cell transplantation, corneal transplantation, and lens regeneration. Gene editing technology of clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats/crispr-associated protein-9 nuclease (CRISPR/Cas9) can introduce causative mutations of inherited ocular diseases into human induced pluripotent stem cells effectively. Then they can be further differentiated into specific somatic cells maintaining a genetic disease background, which can mimic the occurrence of inherited ocular diseases in vitro. The cell model may help scientists study the mechanism of human disease development, establish an in vitro screening platform to find therapeutic drugs, and correct genetic mutations in the human genome for cell therapy. The combination of stem cells and gene editing technology is revolutionizing the regenerative medicine in ophthalmology and gene therapy of inherited ocular diseases. This review summarizes the current application of human induced pluripotent stem cells and its combination with gene editing technology in the study of inherited ocular diseases. Observation of the Mass Difference between Neutral Charm-Meson Eigenstates. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2021; 127:111801. Abstract
A measurement of mixing and CP violation in neutral charm mesons is performed using data reconstructed in proton-proton collisions collected by the LHCb experiment from 2016 to 2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb^{-1}. A total of 30.6 million D^{0}→K_{S}^{0}π^{+}π^{-} decays are analyzed using a method optimized for the measurement of the mass difference between neutral charm-meson eigenstates. Allowing for CP violation in mixing and in the interference between mixing and decay, the mass and decay-width differences are measured to be x_{CP}=[3.97±0.46(stat)±0.29(syst)]×10^{-3} and y_{CP}=[4.59±1.20(stat)±0.85(syst)]×10^{-3}, respectively. The CP-violating parameters are measured as Δx=[-0.27±0.18(stat)±0.01(syst)]×10^{-3} and Δy=[0.20±0.36(stat)±0.13(syst)]×10^{-3}. This is the first observation of a nonzero mass difference in the D^{0} meson system, with a significance exceeding seven standard deviations. The data are consistent with CP symmetry and improve existing constraints on the associated parameters.

Abstract
To evaluate site quality and provide scientific evidence, the mixed effect model of polymorphic site index of Juglans mandshurica was accurately simulated in the three provinces of Northeast China. A total of 197 plots in the 23 typical regions of Liaoning, Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces were set by the sample circle method, from which we got 1537 height-age data of J. mandshurica. The site factors were divided, assigned and calculated using variance analysis and model fitting. The results showed that slope position was the dominant factor affecting the growth of dominant wood of J. mandshurica, followed by soil depth, slope and aspect. After fitting and analyzing eight common basic models, we found that the logistic model H=a/[1+exp(b+cA)] was the optimal one (R2=0.70), with a mean absolute error (MAE) of 2.52. When the four main influen-cing factors were randomly combined, the optimal site index model of the stochastic combination (M8.15) was obtained with R2 of 0.90, which improved the fitting accuracy of the base model. The K-means clustering method was used to further divide the initial groups of site types into six groups. We established the nonlinear mixed effect model Mfinal, H=(20.1837+ui)/[1+exp (1.7352-0.0961A)]+εij, with R2 and Akaike's information criterion (AIC) being 0.92 and 912.65, respectively, which could significantly improve the fitting and accuracy of the model. The equation could be used for the accurate evaluation of site quality of J. mandshurica under the complex site types in the three provinces of Northeast China.

Abstract
Drought and rising global temperatures are important factors that reduce wheat production. Trehalose protects the reaction centres and improves photosystem II (PSII) activity under diverse stress conditions. However, the underlying mechanism remains unknown. Cyclic electron flow (CEF) plays an important role in protecting PSII under environmental stresses. Our study focused on the effects of exogenous trehalose on the activity of PSII, D1 protein content, plastoquinone (PQ) pool and ATP synthase activity in wheat seedlings under heat and drought stresses to explore the relationship between trehalose and CEF. The results indicated that heat and drought stresses decreased maximum photochemical efficiency of PSII (Fv /Fm ) and electron transport rate of PSII (EFR(II)), whereas the trehalose pretreatment improved photochemical efficiency and electron transport rate of PSII. The trehalose pretreatment stimulated CEF under heat and drought stresses. Furthermore, the proton gradient (ΔpH) across the thylakoid membrane and ATPase activity increased. The higher ΔpH and ATPase activity played a key role in protecting PSII under stresses. Trehalose pretreatment could reduce inhibition caused by heat and drought stresses on the PQ pool. Thus, our results indicated that photoinhibition in heat- and drought-stressed plants was alleviated by the trehalose pretreatment, which was mediated by CEF and the PQ pool.

Abstract
The first observation of exotic states with a new quark content cc[over ¯]us[over ¯] decaying to the J/ψK^{+} final state is reported with high significance from an amplitude analysis of the B^{+}→J/ψϕK^{+} decay. The analysis is carried out using proton-proton collision data corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fb^{-1} collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. The most significant state, Z_{cs}(4000)^{+}, has a mass of 4003±6_{-14}^{+4} MeV, a width of 131±15±26 MeV, and spin parity J^{P}=1^{+}, where the quoted uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. A new 1^{+} X(4685) state decaying to the J/ψϕ final state is also observed with high significance. In addition, the four previously reported J/ψϕ states are confirmed and two more exotic states, Z_{cs}(4220)^{+} and X(4630), are observed with significance exceeding 5 standard deviations.

Ginseng berry concentrate prevents colon cancer via cell cycle, apoptosis regulation, and inflammation-linked Th17 cell differentiation. JOURNAL OF PHYSIOLOGY AND PHARMACOLOGY 2021; 72. Abstract
The Asian ginseng root (Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer) is a very commonly used herbal medicine worldwide. Ginseng fruit, including the berry (or pulp) and seed, is also valuable for several health conditions including immunostimulation and cancer chemoprevention. In this study, the anticancer and anti-proliferative effects of the extracts of ginseng berry and seed were evaluated. The ginsenosides in the ginseng berry concentrate (GBC) and ginseng seed extract (GSE) were analyzed. We then evaluated their anti-colorectal cancer potentials, including antiproliferation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptotic induction. Further investigation consisted of the berry's adaptive immune responses, such as the actions on the differentiation of T helper cells Treg, Th1, and Th17. The major constituents in GBC were ginsenosides Re and Rd, which can be compared to those in the root. The GBC significantly inhibited colon cancer cell growth, and its anti-proliferative effect involved mechanisms including G2/M cell cycle arrest via upregulation of cyclin A and induction of apoptosis via regulation of apoptotic related gene expressions. GBC also downregulated the expressions of pro-inflammatory cytokine genes. For the adaptive immune responses, GBC did not influence Th1 and Treg cell differentiation but significantly inhibited Th17 cell differentiation and thus regulated the balance of Th17/Treg for adaptive immunity. Although no ginsenoside was detected in the GSE, interestingly, it obviously enhanced colon cancer cell proliferation with the underlined details to be determined. Our results suggested that GBC is a promising dietary supplement for cancer chemoprevention and immunomodulation.

Abstract
Objective: To summarize the clinical and pathological features of intravascular NK and T cell lymphoma for better understanding of such disease to reduce misdiagnosis and miss-diagnosis. Methods: Clinical and pathological features were analyzed retrospectively in one case of intravascular peripheral T-cell lymphoma, not otherwise specified (IVPTCL, NOS) , with literatures review. Results: The case presented in this study was a 66-year-old man. PET/CT scan showed multiple lymph nodes enlargement throughout the body. Normal lymph node structure could not be observed by tissue biopsy, while lymph follicles were partially disrupted. High-power light microscope revealed a large number of blood vessels with diffuse proliferation and dilation, where atypical lymphoid cell mass was restricted in the lumen and partially infiltrated the large blood vessel wall. These tumor cells were medium to large with moderate cytoplasm. The nucleus was irregular, single or multiple nucleoli could be seen, chromatin was condensed, some were empty and bright, and mitotic figures could be seen. Immunohistochemical staining showed that the neoplastic cells were positive for expression of CD3, CD43, CD8, GrB, TIA-1 and perforin. EBER in situ hybridization result was negative. Polymerase chain reaction test identified a clonal gene rearrangement of T-cell receptor γ. The patient was treated with CHOP in combination with chidamide, but died of infection and cardiopulmonary failure within 2 months. 56 cases of intravascular NK/T cell lymphoma with definite classification were collected from relevant literatures, including 47 cases with nasal type of extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma (27 were male and 20 were female) , 8 cases with anaplastic large cell lymphoma (3 males and 5 females) , and only one case with de nova IVPTCL, NOS in brain. We report the second case of IVPTCL,NOS, and notably originated from lymph node for the first time. Conclusions: Intravascular NK/T cell lymphoma is a highly aggressive disease with no effective treatment at present. Involvement of Lymph node has rarely been reported, and further studies on more cases are necessary.

Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of cryptotanshinone on the ferroptosis of human liver cancer HepG2 cells. Methods The viability of the HepG2 cells cultured in vitro was determined using the Cell Counting Kit-8(CCK-8),and the half maximal inhibitory concentration(IC50)was calculated. The cell morphology was observed using an inverted microscope. The reactive oxygen species(ROS)level was detected with the 2',7'-dichlorodihydrofluorescein diacetate(DCFH-DA)probe.The glutathione(GSH)assay kit was used to determine the GSH level.Western blot analysis was employed to detect the expression of cystine/glutamate antiporter system light chain(xCT)and glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4),two marker proteins in ferroptosis.Additionally, the cell viability,ROS level,GSH level, and the expression levels of xCT and GPX4 were detected for the cells treated with the ferroptosis inhibitor ferrostain-1(Fer-1),the iron chelator deferoxamine(DFO),and the ROS scavenger N-acetylcysteine(NAC).Results Cryptotanshinone significantly inhibited the cell viability of HepG2 cells with an IC50 of 93.73 μmol/L,and caused the morphological changes and death of the cells. It could significantly induce ROS accumulation, reduce GSH level, and down-regulate the expression of xCT and GPX4 in HepG2 cells.Fer-1,DFO,and NAC can remedy the cryptotanshinone-caused decrease in the cell viability of HepG2 cells.Fer-1 could inhibit cryptotanshinone-induced ROS accumulation, restore GSH level, and recover the expression of xCT and GPX4. Conclusion Cryptotanshinone may increase the accumulation of ROS by inhibiting the expression of xCT and GPX4 to induce the ferroptosis of HepG2 cells.

Abstract
Many Chinese breeding pigs are repeatedly vaccinated against classical swine fever virus (CSFV) and porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV), which cause fatal, highly contagious diseases. To reduce their high frequency vaccination-induced immune stress, we constructed a combined vaccine based on the E2 protein of CSFV and the S1 spike protein subunit of PEDV (named E2-S1). In mice, the E2-S1 vaccine elicited higher neutralizing antibody titers and IgG1/IgG2a ratios against CSFV and PEDV than those induced by individual E2 or S1 vaccines. Moreover, it elicited high IL-4 expression, but no IFN-γ expression. The results suggest that good compatibility exists between E2 and S1 antigens, and the E2-S1 vaccine can elicit a strong Th2-type cell-mediated humoral immune response. The E2-S1 recombinant fusion protein provides a novel vaccine candidate against both CSFV and PEDV, laying the foundation for future combination vaccines against swine diseases.

Abstract
Background:Total saponins of Panax japonicus (TSPJ) are extracted from Panax japonicus (T.Nees) C.A.Mey and have achieved a good therapeutic effect in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Unfortunately, the mechanism of TSPJ acting on RA is not clear. Objectives:To investigate the potential mechanisms and key targets of TSPJ on RA.Methods:The raw data were downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database, and the RStudio3.6.1 software was used to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs). The potential targets of active compounds from TSPJ were predicted by the Pharmmapper and SwissTargetPrediction databases. Based on the overlapping genes, we used Cytoscape 3.7.2 software to construct a protein-protein interactions (PPI) network and to determine the mechanisms of the treatment by Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analysis. Collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) model was established and treated with different doses of TSPJ. Arthritis index (AI) and histology score were used to evaluate the symptoms of CIA. The levels of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), hypoxia-inducible factor 1 (HIF-1), IL-1β, and IL-17A tested by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay and real time-quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction. Results:A total of 2670 DEGs and 371 TSPJ targets were obtained, including 52 overlapping genes. 41 genes had protein interactions that are used to build the PPI network. The results of the KEGG enrichment analysis included VEGF and HIF-1 signaling pathway. Seven negative correlation genes and 16 positive correlation genes were obtained by correlational analysis of DEGs in VEGF and HIF-1 signaling pathway. SRC proto-oncogene, nonreceptor tyrosine kinase (SRC), and the signal transducer and the activator of transcription 3 (STAT 3) had a higher value of degree in PPI and showed a significant correlation in the pathways; they were regarded as key targets. Compared with the CIA model group, TSPJ significantly decreased the AI and histology scores. Moreover, the expression of VEGF-A, HIF-1α, IL-1β, and IL-17A in serum or spleens significantly reduced in a dose-dependent.Conclusion:Present study show that SRC and STAT 3 may be the key targets of TSPJ acting on the VEGF and HIF-1 signaling pathways, thus inhibiting angiogenesis and improving RA.Disclosure of Interests:None declared

Abstract
Objective: To summarize the clinical characteristics of heart failure patients with recovered ejection fraction (HFrecEF) and identify variables capable of predicting left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) recovery. Methods: This case control study included patients with heart failure, who admitted to Department of Cardiology of Beijing Hospital from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2017. The patients were divided into 3 groups based on the baseline LVEF and changes of LVEF: heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF, baseline LVEF≤40%, follow-up LVEF≤40% or follow-up LVEF>40% but LVEF increase<10% from baseline), HFrecEF(baseline LVEF≤40%, follow-up LVEF>40% and increase≥10% from baseline), and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF, baseline LVEF>40%). Clinical data were collected and endpoint events (all-cause death, cardiovascular death and sudden death) were recorded. The Log-rank test was used to evaluate the differences of terminal events in different groups, and Kaplan-Meier survival analysis was performed. Logistic regression equation was used to identify prognostic factors of HFrecEF. Results: A total of 310 patients with heart failure were included. There were 91(29.4%) HFrEF patients, 38(12.3%) HFrecEF patients and 181(58.4%) HFpEF patients. Compared with HFrEF patients and HFpEF patients, HFrecEF patients were featured by younger age, more likely to be female, higher systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and resting heart rate (all P<0.05). Dilated cardiomyopathies were more common, while old myocardial infarctions were less common in HFrecEF (both P<0.05). During a median follow-up of 36.7(18.0, 63.9) months, Kaplan-Meier survival analysis found that HFrecEF patients had the lowest all-cause mortality (Log-rank P=0.047, HFrecEF vs. HFpEF P=0.017, HFrecEF vs. HFrEF P=0.016, and HFpEF vs. HFrEF P=0.782).The cardiovascular mortality ranged from low to high was in HFrecEF patients, HFpEF patients, and HFrEF patients (Log-rank P<0.001, HFrecEF vs. HFpEF P=0.029, HFrecEF vs. HFrEF P<0.001, HFrEF vs. HFpEF P=0.005). Sudden death rate was similar among the three groups (Log-rank P=0.520). Logistic regression analysis showed that left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD)≤55 mm (OR=5.922, 95%CI 1.685-20.812, P=0.006), higher diastolic blood pressure (OR=1.058, 95%CI 1.017-1.100, P=0.005), faster resting heart rate (OR=1.042, 95%CI 1.006-1.080, P=0.024), absence of old myocardial infarction (OR=5.343, 95%CI 1.731-16.488, P=0.004) were independent prognostic factors of LVEF recovery after clinical treatment. Conclusions: Patients with HFrecEF are associated with a better prognosis as compared to patients with HFrEF and HFpEF. LVEDD≤55 mm, higher diastolic blood pressure, faster heart rate, and absence of old myocardial infarction are independent prognostic factors of LVEF recovery after clinical treatment.

Properties of spores of Bacillus subtilis with or without a transposon that decreases spore germination and increases spore wet heat resistance. J Appl Microbiol 2021; 131:2918-2928. Abstract
AIMS This work aimed to determine how genes on transposon Tn1546 slow Bacillus subtilis spore germination and increase wet heat resistance, and to clarify the transposon's 3 gene spoVA operon's role in spore properties, since the seven wild-type SpoVA proteins form a channel transporting Ca2+ -dipicolinic acid (DPA) in spore formation and germination. METHODS AND RESULTS Deletion of the wild-type spoVA operon from a strain with Tn1546 gave spores with slightly reduced wet heat resistance but some large decreases in germination rate. Spore water content and CaDPA analyses found no significant differences in contents of either component in spores with different Tn1546 components or lacking the wild-type spoVA operon. CONCLUSIONS This work indicates that the SpoVA channel encoded by Tn1546 functions like the wild-type SpoVA channel in CaDPA uptake into developing spores, but not as well in germination. The essentially identical CaDPA and water contents of spores with and without Tn1546 indicate that low core water content does not cause elevated wet heat resistance of spores with Tn1546. SIGNIFICANCE AND IMPACT OF THE STUDY Since wet heat resistance of spores of Bacillus species poses problems in the food industry, understanding mechanisms of spores' wet heat resistance is of significant applied interest.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the expression of mismatch repair (MMR) protein and the EB virus infection in gastric adenocarcinoma, and to examine the association of MMR expression and EB virus infection with clinicopathological parameters. Methods: A case-control study was performed. Clinicopathological data of patients who was pathologically diagnosed as gastric adenocarcinoma, received radical gastrectomy and had complete clinicopathological data from August 2017 to April 2020 in Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital were retrospectively collected and analyzed. The immunohistochemistry (IHC) of MMR proteins and in situ hybridization (ISH) of Epstein-Barr virus encoded RNA (EBER) were reviewed. The associations of MMR and EBER results with clinicopathological parameters were analyzed. The main observations of the study were MMR and EBER expression, and association of MMR and EBER results with clinicopathological parameters. Results: Eight hundred and eighty-six patients were enrolled, including 98 patients who received preoperative neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy. Of 886 patients, 613 (69.2%) were males and the median age was 60 (22-83) years; 831 (93.8%) were mismatch repair proficiency (pMMR), and 55 (6.2%) were mismatch repair deficiency (dMMR). In dMMR group, 47 cases (85.5%) had the deficiency of both MLH1 and PMS2, 1 case (1.8%) had the deficiency of both MSH2 and MSH6, 4 cases (7.3%) had the deficiency only in PMS2, 2 cases (3.6%) had the deficiency only in MSH6, and 1 case (1.8%) had the deficiency only in MSH2. The deficiency rates of PMS2, MLH1, MSH6 and MSH2 were 5.8% (51/886), 5.3% (47/886), 0.3% (3/886) and 0.2% (2/886), respectively. Among the 871 cases with EBER results, 4.9% (43/871) were positive EBER. Univariate analysis showed that dMMR was more frequently detected in female patients (χ(2)=10.962, P=0.001), cancer locating in the antrum (χ(2)=9.336,P=0.020), Lauren intestinal type (χ(2)=9.718, P=0.018), stage T3 (χ(2)=25.866, P<0.001) and TNM stage II (χ(2)=15.470, P=0.002). The ratio of dMMR was not significantly associated with age, tumor differentiation, histological type, lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis or Her-2 immunohistochemical score (all P>0.05). Compared with negative EBER, positive EBER was more frequent in male patients (χ(2)=9.701, P=0.002), cancer locating in gastric fundus and corpus (χ(2)=17.964, P<0.001), gastric cancer with lymphoid stroma (χ(2)=744.073, P<0.001) and poorly differentiated cancer (χ(2)=13.739, P=0.010). Positive EBER was not significantly associated with age, depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis, TNM stage or Her-2 immunohistochemical score (all P>0.05). In addition, all dMMR cases were EBER negative, and all cases of positive EBER were pMMR. Conclusions: The positive EB virus status is mutually exclusive with dMMR, indicating that different molecular subtypes of gastric adenocarcinoma are involved in different molecular pathways in tumorigenesis and progression. The overlapping of dMMR or positive EBER status and positive Her-2 expression is found in some cases of gastric adenocarcinoma. Patients with gastric adenocarcinoma after radical surgery should be tested for MMR status if they are female, the tumor locates in gastric antrum, the TNM staging is stage II or T3, or if the Lauren classification is intestinal type. And if patients are male, the tumor locates in the gastric fundus and corpus, the cancer is lymphoid stroma, or poor differentiated, the expression of EBER should be detected. Results of our study may provide evidence for further decision-making of clinical treatment.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of dexmedetomidine on remifentanil-induced hyperalgesia and its underlying mechanism through a prospective cohort study. Methods: From July 2018 to July 2019, 80 patients who underwent day surgery in Taizhou Central Hospital (including patients with laparoscopic cholecystectomy and oophorocystectomy) were selected, there were 46 males and 34 females with a mean age of (28.8±4.3) years. The patients were divided into dexmedetomidine group and control group with random number table, 40 cases in each group. After anesthesia induction, the dexmedetomidine group was managed with intravenous infusion of dexmedetomidine (1 μg/kg) within 10 minutes, while the control group was treated with an equal volume of normal saline. The patient's general information and the intraoperative data were recorded. The visual analogue scale (VAS) was evaluated before the operation and 1, 6 and 12 h after the surgery. The Von Frey cilia method was conducted to determine the mechanical pain threshold of the patient's non-surgical body parts. The vein blood was extracted at the corresponding time point to evaluate the expression level of miR-183 via the RT-PCR method. The demographic and preoperative parameters were comparable between the two groups. Results: Compared with the control group, the mechanical pain threshold in the dexmedetomidine group increased significantly at 1, 6, and 12 h after surgery (all P<0.05), and the VAS score at the corresponding time point declined significantly (all P<0.05). At the same time points, the serum miR-183 levels in the dexmedetomidine group were all significantly higher than those in the control group after surgery (2.07±0.41 vs 1.68±0.60, 1.99±0.33 vs 1.74±0.54, 1.88±0.36 vs 1.67±0.54, respectively, all P<0.05). Conclusion: A perioperative dose of dexmedetomidine in day surgery can significantly improve the remifentanil-related hyperalgesia, and it may be related to up-regulation of the expression of miR-183 in the blood.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the expression of Long non-coding RNA ADIPOQ and its facilitating effects on proliferation and invasion of colorectal cancer by modulating the expression of TP53 via sponging with miR-219c-3p. PATIENTS AND METHODS qRT-PCR was performed to detect the expressions of ADIPOQ and TP53 in human colorectal cancer tissues and cells. CCK-8 assay was performed to evaluate the Caco-2 cells proliferation and transwell assay was performed to evaluate the Caco-2 cells migration. The relationship between ADIPOQ and miR-219c-3p was detected by statistical analysis. Target prediction and Luciferase activity assay were conducted to investigate the binding site and interaction between ADIPOQ and miR-219c-3p. Further, we cloned the mice TP53 3'-UTR into the Luciferase reporter vector and constructed miR-219c-3p binding mutants to verify the inhibited regulation of miR-219c-3p to the TP53 expression. RESULTS The results suggested that the expression of ADIPOQ and TP53 was downregulated in human colorectal cancer tissues and Caco-2 cells. qRT-PCR and CCK-8 assay showed that ADIPOQ expression is correlated with the proliferation of colorectal cancer cells. Transwell assay showed that ADIPOQ regulated the migration ability of colorectal cancer cells. The bioinformatics prediction and Luciferase assay demonstrated that ADIPOQ serves as ceRNA for miR-219c-3p to further regulate the expression of TP53. CONCLUSIONS For the first time, we found that lncRNA-ADIPOQ was downregulated in human colorectal cancer cells, which could facilitate tumor proliferation, migration and invasion as a ceRNA by sponging with miR-219c-3p.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE In the era of precision medicine, molecular and genetic biomarkers act as the key indicators for glioma patients' recurrence and prognosis. MATERIALS AND METHODS We summarize the biomarkers of glioma prognosis from molecular level, gene level and microRNA level. RESULTS In molecular biomarkers, cyclinD1 high expression/P16 low expression, MIF high expression and VEGF high expression were all related to glioma patients' poor prognosis; in genetic biomarkers, MGMT promoter methylation absence, IDH1 wild type, HIF-α high expression, Chromosome 1p/19q non-deletion and TERT promoter mutation were associated with poor prognosis for glioma; in microRNA biomarkers, miR-524-5p, miR-586, miR-433, miR-619, miR-548d-5p, miR-525-5p, miR-301a, miR-210, miR-10b-5p, miR-15b-5p and miRNA-182 high expression, miR-124, miR-128, miR-146b and miR-218 low expression were commonly seen in glioma poor prognosis patients. CONCLUSIONS With the continuous development of science and technology, the diagnosis of glioma will tend to the gene and molecular level. Finding specific markers is helpful for the early diagnosis and accurate prognosis of glioma, which provides the possibility for individualized treatment.

Abstract
We present an angular analysis of the B^{+}→K^{*+}(→K_{S}^{0}π^{+})μ^{+}μ^{-} decay using 9 fb^{-1} of pp collision data collected with the LHCb experiment. For the first time, the full set of CP-averaged angular observables is measured in intervals of the dimuon invariant mass squared. Local deviations from standard model predictions are observed, similar to those in previous LHCb analyses of the isospin-partner B^{0}→K^{*0}μ^{+}μ^{-} decay. The global tension is dependent on which effective couplings are considered and on the choice of theory nuisance parameters.

Abstract
Silk fibroin films are excellent candidate biomaterials for corneal tissue engineering due to their optical transparency, biocompatibility, and mechanical strength. Their tunable chemical and mechanical properties open the possibility of engineering cellular microenvironments that can both mimic native corneal tissue and provide stimuli to actively promote wound regeneration. While silk film mechanical properties, such as surface topography, have demonstrated the ability to control corneal epithelial cell wound regenerating behavior, few studies have explored the stiffness tunability of these films and its cellular effects. Cells are known actively sense the stiffness of their surroundings and processes such as cell adhesion, migration, proliferation, and expression of stem markers can be strongly influenced by matrix stiffness. This study develops technical solutions that allow for both the fabrication of films with stiffnesses similar to corneal tissue and also for their characterization in an aqueous, native-like environment at a scale relevant to cellular forces. Physiological evidence demonstrates that corneal epithelial cells are mechanosensitive to films of different stiffnesses and show that cell spreading, cytoskeletal tension, and molecular mechanotransducer localization are associated with film stiffness. These results indicate that silk film stiffness can be used to regulate cell behavior for the purposes of ocular surface repair.
