Abstract
Mn4+-Doped oxide phosphors are under intensive investigation owing to their low manufacture cost and attractive luminescent features for indoor plant cultivation applications. However, it is still a challenge to develop Mn4+-doped oxides with high luminescence efficiency and thermal stability. Herein, Mn4+-Mg2+ pairs are incorporated into a CaGdAlO4 host to reduce non-radiative channels formed by Mn4+-Mn4+-O2- clusters. The photoluminescence and quantum efficiency are significantly enhanced after the introduction of Mg2+ ions to the host. A prolonged Mn4+ decay time is also obtained from the Mn4+/Mg2+ co-doped samples. Intense red emission with a narrow peak at 712 nm due to the 2Eg → 4A2g transition of Mn4+ ions is observed under 335 nm excitation. LEDs fabricated by coating the synthesized phosphor on a 365 nm near-UV chip exhibit an intense deep-red emission with CIE chromaticity coordinates of (0.712, 0.285). The results indicate Mn4+/Mg2+ co-doped CaGdAlO4 phosphors may be applicable to plant cultivation fields.

Abstract
Objective: To study the hemoglobin concentration, anemia status and its determinant factors among Chinese rural women of reproductive age in 2012. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study. The data was obtained from the National Free Preconception Health Examination Project (NFPHEP). A total of 712 101 Chinese rural reproductive age women aged 21-49 years old who came from 193 counties of 30 provinces were included. The demographic characteristics were obtained from questionnaires. Hemoglobin concentration was measured using the cyanomethemoglobin method. The definition of anemia we used was recommended by World Health Organization, and was adjusted according to altitude level. The hemoglobin concentration level, the prevalence of anemia and its 95% CI was calculated. Determinant factors of anemia such as demographic characteristics and histories of pregnancy and miscarriage were analyzed using logistic regression. Results: In 2012, the level of hemoglobin concentration in Chinese rural women of reproductive age was (127.77±13.47) g/L, with the lowest in 21-24 years group, which was (127.54±13.54) g/L, and highest in 35-39 years group, which was (128.39±14.12) g/L. In terms of region, the hemoglobin concentration level was lowest in central south, which was (125.79±12.00) g/L, and highest in southwest, which was (129.91±14.37) g/L. The prevalence of anemia in Chinese rural women of reproductive age was 24.80%, with the highest seen in 21-24 years, which was 25.92% (95% CI: 25.74%-26.11%), and lowest in 30-34 years, which was 23.61% (95% CI: 23.37%-23.85%). The prevalence in northwest (28.31%, 95% CI: 28.01%-28.61%) was the highest among all regions, and the prevalence in east (20.88%, 95% CI: 20.68%-21.09%) was the lowest. Conclusions: The prevalence of anemia in Chinese rural reproductive age women was 24.80% in 2012. The anemia prevalence was higher among women who were young, had low educational level, and lived in northwest region.

Adjustable Method for Real-Time Gait Pattern Detection Based on Ground Reaction Forces Using Force Sensitive Resistors and Statistical Analysis of Constant False Alarm Rate. Abstract
A new approach is proposed to detect the real-time gait patterns adaptively through measuring the ground contact forces (GCFs) by force sensitive resistors (FSRs). Published threshold-based methods detect the gait patterns by means of setting a fixed threshold to divide the GCFs into on-ground and off-ground statuses. However, the threshold-based methods in the literature are neither an adaptive nor a real-time approach. To overcome these drawbacks, this study utilized the constant false alarm rate (CFAR) to analyze the characteristics of GCF signals. Specifically, a sliding window detector is built to record the lasting time of the curvature of the GCF signals and one complete gait cycle could be divided into three areas, such as continuous ascending area, continuous descending area and unstable area. Then, the GCF values in the unstable area are used to compute a threshold through the CFAR. Finally, the new gait pattern detection rules are proposed which include the results of the sliding window detector and the division results through the computed threshold. To verify this idea, a data acquisition board is designed to collect the GCF data from able-bodied subjects. Meanwhile, in order to test the reliability of the proposed method, five threshold-based methods in the literature are introduced as reference methods and the reliability is validated by comparing the detection results of the proposed method with those of the reference methods. Experimental results indicated that the proposed method could be used for real-time gait pattern detection, detect the gait patterns adaptively and obtain high reliabilities compared with the reference methods.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the safety of resuscitation with hydroxyethyl starch 130/0.4 during the early stage of hemorrhagic shock. Methods: Total of 120 healthy male SD rats of 2 to 3 months of age were selected as the study sample (weighed from 250 to 290 g), all the rats were numbered by staining. After that, the rats were divided into 12 groups by using random number table method: sham group (S group), no liquid resuscitation group (NF group), lactated Ringer's resuscitation group (LR group), HES resuscitation group (HES group). At the same time, the LR and HES resuscitation groups were divided into five subgroups with a concentration of 7.5, 15, 30, 60 and 90 ml·kg(-1)·h(-1,) respectively. The model of uncontrollable hemorrhagic shock was created by the method of exsanguination plus tail-cuffing.Fluid resuscitation was started 30 minutes after the exsanguination and continued for 60 min after transfusion for 15 min.The observation was continued for 330 min.At the end of observation, all rats were sacrificed and blood was collected from the rats to determine the thromboelastograms and the maximum amplitude and related parameters, as well as platelet counts, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, urinary and renal injury molecules, and neutrophil gelatinase-associated apolipoprotein levels.Rat lung tissue specimens were collected and wet weights of the right lung and dry weights after drying were measured. The data were compared by using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), LSD-t test or Dunnett-t test. Results: ANOVA analysis showed that there was no significant difference in mean artery pressure (MAP) values between groups at the beginning of fluid resuscitation (F=0.934, P=0.245). At the end of fluid resuscitation, the MAP of HES90 group was (40±9) mmHg, which was lower than that in other groups.Compared with other groups, the HES90 group had higher blood loss and blood transfusion rate. There was no significant differences in platelet counts between the HES group and the LR group at 330 min (t=0.987, P>0.05), but the maximal amplitude (MA) of the thrombelastogram (TEG) was lower in the HES90 group than that in the S group (t=2.354, P<0.05). No significant difference was detected in blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine levels between the HES, LR group and the S group (t=1.098, 0.895, both P>0.05). The total amount of urinary kidney injury molecule 1 (Kim-1) in the HES90 and NF groups increased, neutrophil gelatinase-associated apolipoprotein (NGAL) concentration and urinary NGAL levels were significantly higher than those in other groups, and the difference were statistically significant (t=3.532-11.209, all P<0.05). Conclusion: Small to moderate doses of HES130/0.4 during hemorrhagic shock is more effective and safer than the same dose of LR.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the prevalence and co-prevalence of cardio-metabolic related risk factors in farmers aged ≥18 years in China, to explore the influence of population economic factors on them. Methods: A total of 3 367 farmers, including fishermen or hunters, aged ≥18 years were selected as study subjects from the database of Nutritional Status and Health Transition of Chinese Residents Project in 2015. Basic information (age, gender), data on anthropometric (body height, weight and waist size), blood biochemical and socioeconomic (occupation, income, education level and living area) were included. According to the definition of the metabolic syndrome released by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) in 2005, five cardio-metabolic risk factors appeared as central obesity, increased triglycerides, decreased HDL-C, increased blood pressure and increased plasma glucose. Co-prevalence of risk factors was defined as detecting 2 or more risk factors in a person at the same time. Multivariate logistic regression model was used to analyze the relationship between socioeconomic factors and metabolic risk factors. Results: In 3 367 framers of 15 provinces (autonomous region and municipality), the prevalence rates of central obesity, increased blood pressure, increased plasma glucose, increased triglycerides and decreased HDL-C were 51.8%, 59.0%, 17.0%, 25.5% and 38.7% respectively. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the risks for central obesity (OR=3.69, 95%CI: 3.17-4.28) and decreased HDL-C (OR=3.28, 95%CI: 2.81- 3.82) were higher in women than in men, and the risks for increased blood pressure (OR=0.73, 95%CI: 0.63-0.84), increased blood glucose (OR=0.80, 95%CI: 0.67-0.97) were lower in women than in men. Age was positively correlated with the prevalence or co-prevalence of metabolic risk factors (trend P<0.05). Framers in western China had obviously lower risk for central obesity compared with farmers in central China. No significant correlation was found between farmers' income level, education level or the prevalence of metabolic risk factors. Conclusion: In 15 provinces of China, the prevalence of at least 1 kind of cardio-metabolic risk factor was found in 85.5% of the farmers, and the co-prevalence of cardio-metabolic risk factor was found in 60% of farmers. The prevalence and co-prevalence of cardio-metabolic risk factors were significantly associated with age and gender. It is suggested to take targeted nutritional intervention and health education according to the distribution characteristics of prevalence and co-prevalence of cardio-metabolic factors and strengthen the early prevention and control programs of the diseases.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the quantitative relationship between the number of layers of laser pulses and the amount of step in ultra-short pulse laser cutting of cortical bone, optimize the robot's vertical single stepping parameters, and to explore the feasibility of automatic preparation of dental implant cavity using robot controlling ultra-short pulse laser, in order to lay the foundation for automated dental implant surgery. Methods: Eight pig ribs were segmented into to make 16 specimens. Using the robotic surgical system and path planning software independently developed by our group, circular holes with a diameter of 4 mm were cut two-dimensionally in the rib segments to obtain the quantification relationship of the number of laser pulse layers (n) and the depth of two-dimensional (2D) cutting (d). When conducting the three-dimensional (3D) cutting procedure, the number of pulse layers were set to 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 layers, the vertical single step amount was an integer value corresponding to the results of 2D cutting depth, and the number of pulses (n') corresponding to the minimum difference between the theoretical depth of cut and the actual depth of cut was obtained. The n' was taken as the most suitable single step pulse layer, the rib segment was cut, and the depth of single cut was measured while the integer value was taken as the most appropriate vertical single step amount (d'). The vertical parameters of laser single stepping were set as n' layer pulse and d' μm step size. The 3D cutting produces a cylindrical cavity with a diameter of 4 mm and a height of 2 mm to evaluate the 3D cutting accuracy (the difference between the measured value and the theoretical value of cutting diameter or depth). Ten 4 mm×3 mm implant holes were automatically prepared on the bilateral femurs of 5 Japanese big white rabbits, and ten 4 mm×3 mm implants made by 3D printer were artificially implanted, and the preparation effect of the implant cavities was evaluated. Results: The quantitative relationship curve between the number of laser pulses (n) and 2D depth of cut (d) showed a linear upward trend. The linear fitting obtained the quantitative relation function formula d=9.278 4 n±26.763 0, R(2)=0.988 9. The optimum number of single step pulse layers was 5 layers, and the vertical single step amount was 50 μm, so as to set the vertical parameters of a single step of a 3D cutting, and the 3D cutting diameter accuracy was (3.98±2.87) μm, with a depth accuracy of (15.42±5.44) μm. Automated preparation of 10 implant cavities on the femur of the rabbit were completed. When the implants were placed into the implant cavities, there was resistance, but they were fully seated and primary stability has been achieved after seating implant placement. Conclusions: The method of non-contact automatic preparation of dental implant cavities using robot controlling ultra-short pulse laser is feasible. By optimizing the single cutting process parameters, precise control of laser cutting cortical bone can be realized.

Abstract
Vaccine immunization is now one of the most effective ways to control porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) infection. Impurity is one of the main factors affecting vaccine safety and efficacy. Here we present a novel innovative PRRSV purification approach based on surface display technology. First, a bifunctional protein PA-GRFT (protein anchor-griffithsin), the crucial factor in the purification process, was successfully produced in Escherichia coli yielding 80 mg/L of broth culture. Then PRRSV purification was performed by incubation of PA-GRFT with PRRSV and gram-positive enhancer matrix (GEM) particles, followed by centrifugation to collect virions loaded onto GEM particles. Our results showed that most of the bulk impurities had been removed, and PA-GRFT could capture PRRSV onto GEM particles. Our lactic acid bacteria-based purification method, which is promising as ease of operation, low cost and easy to scale-up, may represent a candidate method for the large-scale purification of this virus for vaccine production.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the safety and efficacy of a new technique for accurate ostial/non-ostial coronary stenting in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). BACKGROUND Accurate stent localization is a key factor impacting the postoperative success of patients undergoing PCI. However, the accurate localization of some lesions, especially ostial lesions, is very difficult to achieve, because they are often complicated by bobbing or to-and-fro movement of the stent during cardiac contractions. METHODS We report a novel technique of precise ostial/non-ostial stenting based on the buddy balloon anchor stent (BBAS) technique. Between May 2014 and July 2017, 47 patients with significant ostial/non-ostial coronary stenosis that required accurate stenting were included in this study. Of them, 23 patients were treated using the conventional method and the remaining 24 patients were treated using (BBAS) technique. Evaluation was then performed using intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) in the procedural, or coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) in the follow up. RESULTS Using the BBAS technique, the procedural success was achieved in all 24 (100%) cases. IVUS was performed in seven patients (29.17%) and no procedural complications occurred. All six failed cases that occurred among patients with right coronary artery and left anterior descending artery ostial stenosis treated using the conventional method, the lesions were subsequently successfully re-stented using the BBAS technique. After a follow-up of 3-36 months, CCTA was performed in 11 patients (45.83%), all the stents were in the accurate position. There were no major cardiovascular events of death, myocardial infarction, or target lesion revascularization. CONCLUSION BBAS is a simple, highly successful and safe technique for accurate stenting of difficult ostial/nonostial coronary stenosis lesions.

Abstract
Tb3+/Yb3+ codoped Na5Lu9F32 single crystals with near-infrared (NIR) emission are achieved by an improved Bridgman approach. Energy transfer from Tb3+ to Yb3+ ions is affirmed by the photoluminescence (PL) emission spectra and decay curves characterization. On the basis of the analysis of energy transfer rate dependence on the Yb3+ concentration, the interaction between Tb3+ and Yb3+ ions in Na5Lu9F32 single crystals is confirmed through the one-to-one energy transfer process. Results demonstrate that the prepared Na5Lu9F32 single crystals might be promising candidates to convert sunlight to improve the performance of the silicon solar cells.

Abstract
Organic erbium complexes have long been of interest due to their potential for using the strong absorption into the organic to sensitise the erbium emission. Despite this interest there is remarkably little quantitative information on how effective the approach is and the discussion of the energy transfer mechanism is generally vague. Here we accurately quantify the sensitisation as a function of excitation pump density and model it using a rate equation approach. As a result, we can calculate the degree of population inversion for the erbium ions as a function of the pump intensity. We demonstrate that even when we increase the erbium concentration in the films from ~10 to ~80% we find a relatively small decrease in the sensitisation which we attribute to the large (>20 Å) Förster radius for the sensitisation process. We show that we can obtain population inversion in our films at very low pump powers ~600 mW/cm2. The calculated Förster radius for the organic erbium complexes suggests design rules for energy transfer between antennas and erbium ions in molecular systems and hybrid organic-inorganic nanoparticles.

Abstract
The A1 subunit of cholera toxin (CTA1) retains the adjuvant function of CT, without its toxic side effects, making the molecule a promising mucosal adjuvant. However, the methods required to obtain a pure product are both complicated and expensive, constricting its potential commercial applicability. Here, we fused the peptidoglycan binding domain (PA) to the C-terminus of CTA1, which enabled the fusion protein to be expressed by Bacillus subtilis, and secreted into the culture medium. CTA1 was then purified and displayed on GEM particles using a one step process, which resulted in the formation of CTA1-GEM complexes. Next, the CTA1-GEM complexes were used as an adjuvant to enhance the immune responses of mice to the influenza subunit vaccine. It was observed that the CTA1-GEM complexes enhanced specific systemic (IgG) and mucosal (IgA) immune responses against antigen, and induced cellular immune responses as well. The data presented here suggests that CTA1-GEM complexes can serve as a viable mucosal adjuvant.

Abstract
Objective: To further study the most suitable parameters for automatic full crown preparation using oral clinical micro robot. Its purpose is to improve the quality of automated tooth preparing for the system and to lay the foundation for clinical application. Methods: Twenty selected artificial resin teeth were used as sample teeth. The micro robot automatic tooth preparation system was used in dental clinic to control the picosecond laser beam to complete two dimensional cutting on the resin tooth sample according to the motion planning path. Using the laser scanning measuring microscope, each layer of cutting depth values was obtained and the average value was calculated. The monolayer cutting depth was determined. The three-dimensional (3D) data of the target resin teeth was obtained using internal scanner, and the CAD data of full-crown tooth preparation was designed by CAD self-develged software. According to the depth of the single layer, 11 complete resin teeth in phantom head were automatically prepared by the robot controlling the laser focused spot in accordance with the layer-cutting way. And the accuracy of resin tooth preparation was evaluated with the software. Using the same method, monolayer cutting depth parameter for cutting dental hard tissue was obtained. Then 15 extracted mandibular and maxillary first molars went through automatic full crown tooth preparation. And the 3D data of tooth preparations were obtained with intra oral scanner. The software was used to evaluate the accuracy of tooth preparation. Results: The results indicated that the single cutting depth of cutting resin teeth and in vitro teeth by picosecond laser were (60.0±2.6) and (45.0±3.6) μm, respectively. Using the tooth preparation robot, 11 artificial resin teeth and 15 complete natural teeth were automatically prepared, and the average time were (13.0±0.7), (17.0±1.8) min respectively. Through software evaluation, the average preparation depth of the occlusal surface of 11 resin teeth was approximately (2.089±0.026) mm, the error was about (0.089±0.026) mm; the average convergence angle was about 6.56°±0.30°, the error was about 0.56°±0.30°. Compared with the target preparation shape, the average shape error of the 11 resin tooth preparations was about 0.02-0.11 mm. And the average preparation depth of the occlusal surface of 15 natural teeth was approximately (2.097±0.022) mm, the error was about (0.097±0.022) mm; the average convergence angle was about 6.98°±0.35°, the error was about 0.98°±0.35°. Compared with the target preparation shape, the average shape error of the 15 natural tooth preparations was about 0.05-0.17 mm. Conclusions: The experimental results indicate that the automatic tooth preparation for resin teeth and the teeth were completed according to the specific parameters of the single cutting depth by the micro robot controlling picosecond laser respectively, its preparation accuracy met the clinical needs. And the suitability of the parameter was confirmed.

Abstract
The cholera toxin B subunit (CTB) is a nontoxic portion of the cholera toxin that retains mucosal adjuvant properties. Expression of CTB in Escherichia coli is difficult as CTB aggregates and accumulates as insoluble inclusion bodies. To remedy this problem, the periplasmic chaperone, SKP, was investigated as possible co-expression partner to increase the solubility of recombinant CTB (rCTB) in E. coli. The result showed co-expression of SKP enhanced the soluble expression of rCTB in E. coli. Moreover, soluble rCTB was successfully expressed and secreted into the periplasmic space through the direction of the LTB leader signal. rCTB in periplasm was purified using an immobilized d-galactose resin; GM1-ELISA experiments showed that rCTB retains strong GM1 ganglioside-binding activity. Intranasal administration of ovalbumin (OVA) with rCTB significantly induced both mucosal and humoral immune responses specific to OVA. These data indicate that co-expression of the molecular chaperone SKP with CTB increased the solubility of rCTB while maintaining its function.

Abstract
Objective: To discuss a novel method of complete revascularization for multi-vessel coronary diseases on beating heart off-pump surgery through lower ministernotomy. Methods: Clinical data of 79 patients underwent ministernotomy off-pump coronary artery bypass from January 2015 to May 2016 at Department of Cardiac Surgery, Heart Center, Beijing Friendship Hospital, Capital Medical University were analyzed retrospectively. There were 62 male and 17 female patients, with an average age of (65±9) years. All the patients were multi-vessel coronary diseases and planned to receive coronary artery bypass grafting. Left internal mammary artery, radial artery and great saphenous veins were harvested and prepared, respectively. The perioperative clinical data was observed and collected. Postoperative ventilator-assisted time, intensive care time, and 24-hour thoracic mediastinal drainage volume were recorded. Postoperative cardiac function was evaluated by echocardiography. The data were compared between pre- and post-operative using paired t test. Results: Cardiopulmonary bypass was used in 2 patients during operation because of unstable hemodynamic status, but the incision was not needed to extend for those 2 patients. The lower ministernotomy was converted to traditional full sternotomy in 2 patients due to limited space for proximal anastomosis. In total, 79 patients had an average of (2.8±0.6) grafts. One proximal anastomosis was performed in 75 patients and 2 anastomoses in 4 patients. Distal target vessels consisted of left descending arteries for 79 patients, posterior descending artery for 60 patients, obtuse marginal branch and intermediate branch for 56 patients and diagonal branches for 25 patients, respectively. Average postoperative ventilation time was (19.0±2.2) hours and ICU stay was (60±20) hours. One patient developed postoperative myocardial infarction and needed temporary intra-aortic balloon pump support. One patient was subjected to incision infection. None of patient died in this study. There were no significant differences in left ventricular end-diastolic diameter and left ventricular end-systolic diameter between pre- and post-operative. The post-operative ejection fraction was significantly higher than that pre-operative (66.5%±1.6% vs. 61.2%±2.3%, t=4.30, P=0.00). Conclusion: With lower ministernotomy, the various sites of distal target vessels could be reached and complete revascularization could be achieved for selected patients with triple vessel diseases, although the procedure is technical demanding.

Abstract
Yes-associated protein (Yap) and transcriptional coactivator with PDZ-binding motif (Taz) are two downstream factors in the Hippo signaling pathway. Yap and Taz participate in regulating organ size, stem cell self-renewal, proliferation and differentiation. We investigated the spatial-temporal expression and relative expression levels of Yap and Taz using immunohistochemistry and real-time polymerase chain reaction. We found Yap and Taz in the oral epithelium and mesenchyme at embryonic (E) day 14.5 (E14.5) and E16.5. By E18.5, Yap and Taz were detected in the dental papilla and the entire enamel organ. At postnatal (P) day 0 (PN0), PN3 and PN7, Yap and Taz expression was localized in ameloblasts, odontoblasts and stratum intermedium. Yap and Taz were expressed in Hertwig's epithelial root sheath (HERS) at PN7. At PN3, PN7 and PN14, Yap was detected in the enamel matrix. From PN21 to PN28, Yap and Taz were absent from differentiated ameloblasts, but they were expressed in odontoblasts. From PN0 to PN10, the Yap and Taz mRNA expression increased, then decreased. We found that Yap and Taz may influence the differentiation of ameloblasts and odontoblasts; they also may contribute to enamel mineralization, crown morphogenesis and root formation.

Abstract
We demonstrate a spectroscopic imaging based super-resolution approach by separating the overlapping diffraction spots into several detectors during a single scanning period and taking advantage of the size-dependent emission wavelength in nanoparticles. This approach has been tested using off-the-shelf quantum dots (Invitrogen Qdot) and in-house novel ultra-small (~3 nm) Ge QDs. Furthermore, we developed a method-specific Gaussian fitting and maximum likelihood estimation based on a Matlab algorithm for fast QD localisation. This methodology results in a three-fold improvement in the number of localised QDs compared to non-spectroscopic images. With the addition of advanced ultra-small Ge probes, the number can be improved even further, giving at least 1.5 times improvement when compared to Qdots. Using a standard scanning confocal microscope we achieved a data acquisition rate of 200 ms per image frame. This is an improvement on single molecule localisation super-resolution microscopy where repeated image capture limits the imaging speed, and the size of fluorescence probes limits the possible theoretical localisation resolution. We show that our spectral deconvolution approach has a potential to deliver data acquisition rates on the ms scale thus providing super-resolution in live systems.

Abstract
Angiotensin II (Ang II), as a crucial factor of endothelial dysfunction, participates in endothelial oxidative damage and inflammation, which is present in all cardiovascular disease (CVD). Celastrol, extracted from Trypterygiun wilfordii Hook F. ("Thunder of God Vine"), is a natural compound with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. In this study, the protective effects of celastrol on human umbilical vein endothelial cell (HUVEC) injury induced by Ang II were observed and its mechanisms were elucidated. Compared with the control group, Ang II significantly increased nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) oxidase activity, enhanced reactive oxygen species levels and proinflammatory cytokines, decreased antioxidant enzyme activities, and suppressed cellular viability and promoted cell apoptosis. It accomplished this via inhibition of the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2), increasing the expression levels of Nox2 and AngII type 1 receptor (AT1 receptor), and inducing the phosphorylation of extracellular signal regulated kinase (ERK1/2). In contrast, celastrol effectively suppressed reactive oxygen species generation, improved endothelial cell activity, and ameliorated Ang II-mediated HUVEC injury through activation of Nrf2, inhibition of Nox2/AT1 receptor expression, and upregulated phosphorylation of ERK1/2. After treatment with brusatol, a specific inhibitor of Nrf2, the protective effects of celastrol on Ang II-induced damage in HUVECs were remarkably alleviated. Taken together, celastrol-induced activation of Nrf2 and inhibition of NADPH oxidase activity were critical for the inhibition of Ang II-mediated endothelial dysfunction, and demonstrated the potential application of celastrol in CVD therapy.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to prospectively investigate the incidence of ventilator associated events (VAEs) in intensive care units (ICUs) among adult patients, and to evaluate the correlation between VAEs and ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP). METHODS A prospective 3-month cohort study (January 2015 to March 2015) was carried out. VAEs were divided into three groups: with ventilator-associated condition (VAC), with infection related ventilator-associated complication (IVAC) and with possible VAP (PVAP). Sensitivity and specificity of VAEs were evaluated and compared to the traditional VAP. Kappa test was applied to judge the consistency of VAC and VAP. RESULTS During Jan. 2015 and Mar. 2015, 1 014 patients were admitted to 8 ICUs, with 7 977 patients per day. In total, 197 patients used the mechanical ventilation installation, with, a total number of 3 152 ventilator-days. Finally, 1 214 ventilation days in the VAC group and 1 938 ventilation days in the non-VAC group) that were available for final analysis. 46 VAC cases were identified including 22 classified as IVAC (14.59 and 6.98 per 1 000 ventilation days, respectively). Length of ICU stay and duration on mechanical ventilation for VAC patients were both significantly longer than those for non-VAC patients (P<0.05). Sensitivity and specificity of the VAC criteria for the detection of VAP were 36.92% and 83.33%, respectively. CONCLUSION The VAEs surveillance paradigms could be applied to monitor patients on the use of mechanical ventilation installation. However, sensitivity and specificity of VAC were under pool for the diagnosis of VAP. However, automatically surveillance programs was relied on the improvement of auto-information systems.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To construct a lentiviral vector for RNA interference (RNAi) of the HJURP gene and to identify the silencing efficiency in the human embryo villus cells and to provide a human embryo villus cells multiplication and chromosome segregation. MATERIALS AND METHODS In accordance with the study, three specific sequences of siRNA targeting HJURP gene were designed, synthesized, then the complementary DNA containing both sense and antisense oligonucleotides of the targeting sequences were annealed and inserted into the lentiviral vector. The correct clonings were confirmed by PCR and sequencing. The most effective recombinant lentivirus vector was screened, and the recombinant plasmids with the lentivirus packaging mixes were co-transfected into 293T cells to obtain packaged lentivirus particles. Then viral titer was determined. The silencing efficiency of target gene in human embryo villus cells was detected by Real-Time PCR. RESULTS DNA sequencing showed that the shRNA sequence was successfully inserted into the lentivirus vector. The recombinant lentiviral vector was successfully transfected into 293T cells. The recombinant lentivirus had a titer of 108 PFU/ml. After silencing HJURP gene in human embryo villus cells, the expression level of HJURP mRNA decreased significantly and the RNAi efficiency was greater than 70%. CONCLUSION A lentiviral shRNA expression vector targeting the HJURP gene was successfully constructed and may effectively silence the target gene at a cellular level, which provides a experimental model for the influence of HJURP gene expressing inhibition on human embryo villus cells multiplication and chromosome segregation.

Abstract
Background The aim of this study was to assess the long-term clinical tolerance and cardiac safety during trastuzumab treatment for patients diagnosed as having breast cancer with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) overexpression. Material/Methods A total 105 female cases diagnosed as having breast cancer with high expression of Her2, were treated with trastuzumab (T). All of them underwent electrocardiography monitoring in the process of T treatment. Left ventricular ejection fractions (LVEFs) were estimated using echocardiography before the T treatment and every 3 months. General clinical data and above parameters were collected and reviewed as analysis. Results The mean value of LVEFs with baseline was higher than those at other time points. All LVEFs were more than 50% during the course of trastuzumab treatment. The decline scope ≥15% of LVEFs ranged from 2 months to 16 months, and the ratios were counted for 3.1% at 2 months, 4.3% at 6 months, 3.8% at 10 months, and 5.4% at 16 months. Furthermore, a larger decrease of LVEF during the course occurred mainly in the patients with cumulative dose of A >300 mg/m2, without CPD and 16-month duration of T treatment. There was a strong correlation between cumulative dose of A, cyto/cardio-protection drugs (CPD), duration of T, and the change of LVEF (P=0.82, P=0.744, and P=0.717, respectively), which indicated that 3 factors may be associated with the change in LVEF (P<0.05). Conclusions The LVEF in patients with trastuzumab treatment was significantly decreased, which may be seen as a favorable benefit-risk ratio for patients undergoing long-term trastuzumab treatment.

Abstract
To assess the genetic diversity, structure, and population dynamics of Schizopygopsis pylzovi, we examined the changes in mitochondrial DNA sequences (the mtDNA control region and the Cyt b gene; 1835 bp) in 304 individuals from nine populations. The samples were segregated into 112 haplotypes, with high haplotype diversity and low nucleotide diversity. The haplotype diversity was highest in the Minhe (HS) range of Huangshui River and lowest in the Weiyuan (WY) range of Weihe River. Analysis of molecular variance showed that 69.64% of the total genetic variance was contributed by within-the-group variation and 30.36% was contributed by among-the-group variation. Pairwise FST revealed significant divergence between the populations. The FST between the MT and WY was highest, and that between the YZ and YJ was lowest. The neighbor-joining phylogenetic tree demonstrated that all geographic populations were not monophyletic, but overlapped each other, indicating that the duration of geographical isolation was not long enough or the populations had not yet reached significant genetic isolation or differentiation at the monophyletic level. Tajima's D and Fu's Fs were negative and statistically significant, indicating that S. pylzovi had experienced certain population expansion events, which is consistent with the hypothesis that the headwater area of the Yellow River was dramatically affected by the geological and climatic upheaval during the Quaternary ice age. Our analysis indicated that the management units corresponding to the WY population should be managed and conserved first. In situ conservation is first recommended to protect the original habitat from further destruction.

Abstract
High exchange-coupled Nd2Fe14B/Fe3B nanocomposites were synthesized by an integrative procedure of thermal decomposition and reductive annealing processes. The molar ratio of the resulting products of Nd/Fe/B can be tuned by adjusting the raw material proportion. The as-prepared nanocomposites exhibited an exchanged coupled effect with a large coercivity of 11 100 Gs, enhanced remanence Mr of 42.0 emu g(-1), and Mr/M3T of 0.59.

Abstract
A new radial neutron camera system has been developed and operated recently in the HL-2A tokamak to measure the spatial and time resolved 2.5 MeV D-D fusion neutron, enhancing the understanding of the energetic-ion physics. The camera mainly consists of a multichannel collimator, liquid-scintillation detectors, shielding systems, and a data acquisition system. Measurements of the D-D fusion neutrons using the camera have been successfully performed during the 2015 HL-2A experiment campaign. The measurements show that the distribution of the fusion neutrons in the HL-2A plasma has a peaked profile, suggesting that the neutral beam injection beam ions in the plasma have a peaked distribution. It also suggests that the neutrons are primarily produced from beam-target reactions in the plasma core region. The measurement results from the neutron camera are well consistent with the results of both a standard (235)U fission chamber and NUBEAM neutron calculations. In this paper, the new radial neutron camera system on HL-2A and the first experimental results are described.

Abstract
Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) has caused significant economic losses in the swine industry worldwide. However, there is not an ideal vaccine to provide complete protection against PRRSV. Thus, the need for new antiviral strategies to control PRRSV still remains. Surfactant protein A (SP-A) belongs to the family of C-type lectins, which can exert antiviral activities. In this present study, we assessed the antiviral properties of recombinant porcine SP-A (RpSP-A) on PRRSV infection in Marc 145 cells and revealed its antiviral mechanism using a plaque assay, real-time qPCR, western blotting analysis and an attachment and penetration assay. Our results showed that RpSP-A could inhibit the infectivity of PRRSV in Marc 145 cells and could reduce the total RNA and protein level. The attachment assay indicated that RpSP-A in the presence of Ca2+ could largely inhibit Marc 145 cell attachment; however, in the penetration assay, it was relatively inactive. Furthermore, our study suggested that virus progeny released from infected Marc145 cells were blocked by RpSP-A from infecting other cells. We conclude that RpSP-A has antiviral activity against PRRSV, most probably by blocking viral attachment and the cell-to-cell transmission pathway, and therefore, RpSP-A holds promise as a novel antiviral agent against PRRSV.

Abstract
In this study, we examined the molecular mechanism of thyroid carcinoma (THCA) using bioinformatics. RNA-sequencing data of THCA (N = 498) and normal thyroid tissue (N = 59) were downloaded from The Cancer Genome Atlas. Next, gene expression levels were calculated using the TCC package and differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified using the edgeR package. A co-expression network was constructed using the EBcoexpress package and visualized by Cytoscape, and functional and pathway enrichment of DEGs in the co-expression network was analyzed with DAVID and KOBAS 2.0. Moreover, modules in the co-expression network were identified and annotated using MCODE and BiNGO plugins. Small-molecule drugs were analyzed using the cMAP database, and miRNAs and transcription factors regulating DEGs were identified by WebGestalt. A total of 254 up-regulated and 59 down-regulated DEGs were identified between THCA samples and controls. DEGs enriched in biological process terms were related to cell adhesion, death, and growth and negatively correlated with various small-molecule drugs. The co-expression network of the DEGs consisted of hub genes (ITGA3, TIMP1, KRT19, and SERPINA1) and one module (JUN, FOSB, and EGR1). Furthermore, 5 miRNAs and 5 transcription factors were identified, including E2F, HSF2, and miR-26. miR-26 may participate in THCA by targeting CITED1 and PLA2R1; E2F may participate in THCA by regulating ITGA3, TIMP1, KRT19, EGR1, and JUN; HSF2 may be involved in THCA development by regulating SERPINA1 and FOSB; and small-molecule drugs may have anti-THCA effects. Our results provide novel directions for mechanistic studies and drug design of THCA.

Abstract
The rate constant for the gas-phase reaction of O3 and Lewisite was studied in air using the smog chamber technique. The experiments were carried out under pseudo-first-order reaction conditions with [O3]≪[Lewisite]. The observed rate constant of O3 with Lewisite was (7.83 ± 0.38) × 10(-19)cm(3)/(molecule·sec) at 298 ± 2K. Lewisite was discussed in terms of reactivity with O3 and its relationship with the ionization potential. Our results show that the rate constant for the gas-phase reaction of O3 with Lewisite is in line with the trend of the rate constants of O3 with haloalkenes.

Abstract
Small heat shock proteins (sHSPs) have been implicated in many physiological processes and play important roles in the response to various stresses. In this study, the full-length sequences of six sHSPs: OcHSP19.1, 19.8, 20.4, 20.7, 21.1, and 23.8 were obtained from the rice grasshopper Oxya chinensis transcriptome database. The deduced amino acid sequences of the six OcsHSPs contain a typical α-crystallin domain, which consists of approximately 100 amino acid residues and five β-strands. The phylogenetic analysis suggested that OcHSP23.8 was orthologous to the sHSPs of other species and that OcHSP19.1, 20.4, 20.7, and 21.1 were species specific, whereas OcHSP19.8 did not cluster closely to Orthoptera but was placed on the basal end of the cluster. Developmental stage-dependent and tissue-specific expression patterns were evaluated using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. The six genes were expressed in all developmental stages and showed clear tissue specificity. The cadmium acute experiment indicates that Cd(2+) can induce the six genes. However, various response patterns were observed among these genes under Cd(2+) stress conditions. OcHSP19.1, 19.8, 20.4, and 20.7 were highly induced by 2.61 mM Cd(2+) at 24 h. OcHSP23.8 was significantly upregulated by 2.61 mM Cd(2+) at 6 h. For OcHSP21.1, the highest expression levels were found after treatment with 0.87 mM Cd(2+) for 24 h, 1.74 mM Cd(2+) for 36 h, and 2.61 mM Cd(2+) for 12 h. These differential characteristics will facilitate future investigations into the physiological functions of sHSPs.

Abstract
The sensitivity of X-ray absorption near-edge structure (XANES) to the local symmetry has been investigated in small (∼4 nm) matrix-free Ge quantum dots. The FDMNES package was used to calculate the theoretical XANES spectra that were compared with the experimental data of as-prepared and annealed nanoparticles. It was found that XANES data for an as-prepared sample can only be adequately described if the second coordination shell of the diamond-type structural model is included in the FDMNES calculations. This is in contrast to the extended X-ray absorption fine-structure data that show only the first-shell signal. These results suggest that, despite the high degree of disorder and a large surface-to-volume ratio, as-prepared small Ge quantum dots retain the diamond-type symmetry beyond the first shell. Furthermore, we utilized this sensitivity of XANES to the local symmetry to study annealed Ge quantum dots and found evidence for significant structural distortion which we attribute to the existence of surface disorder in the annealed oxygen-free Ge quantum dots.

Abstract
As ultrasound diagnosis is applied more frequently in gynecological acute abdomen, we carried out this study to discuss the diagnosis of endometriosis with ultrasound imaging and analyze the efficacy of microRNA used for diagnosing endometriosis and evaluating prognosis by comparing differentially expressed microRNA in subjects with or without endometriosis. Ultrasound examination results and clinical pathological examination results of 60 cases of gynecological acute abdomen were compared. Blood samples were collected from patients with endometriosis. Of 60 cases, 38 cases recurred in 20 months after surgery and the remaining 22 cases had no recurrence in the 30-month follow-up. Additionally, blood was collected from 40 patients without endometriosis as control. Then total RNA was extracted from these blood samples to determine the difference of expression of microRNA (miR-17-5p, miR-20a, miR-199a and miR-141). Compared to healthy subjects, the endometriosis patients showed significantly increased expression of miR-199a, but the expression of miR-17-5p, miR-20a and miR-141 had an obvious decrease; the differences were statistically significant (p less than 0.01). For recurred cases, miR-199 showed a remarkably high expression and miR-17-5p and miR-20a expressed significantly low.

Abstract
This study aimed to evaluate relationships between transient elastography values and liver fibrosis in chronic liver disease patients with normal or mildly abnormal aminotransferase levels. Fifty-six patients were enrolled in the study. Transient elastography and liver biopsy were performed on the same day, and the fibrosis was staged based on the Scheuer scoring system. Liver stiffness was measured to assessed liver fibrosis using transient elastography. The transient elastography values of 12 patients with chronic hepatitis B were studied before and 6 months after antiviral treatment. The sensitivity and specificity for 10.88 kPa in S3 were 80 and 87.8%, and for 19.4 kPa in S4, were 100 and 90.7%, respectively. In univariate analysis, liver stiffness strongly correlated with the fibrosis stage (r = 0.70, P < 0.5), moderately correlated with the aminotransferases (r = 0.398, P < 0.05), and poorly correlated with the degree of necroinflammatory activity (r = 0.19, P < 0.5). In multivariate regression, liver stiffness correlated only with the fibrosis stage (P < 0.05). Pre- and post-treatment viral loads were not significantly different [(4.81 ± 0.15) x 10(6) vs (7.62 ± 0. 16) x 10(3), P > 0.05]. Pre- and post-treatment LS measurements were not correlated with viral load (P > 0.05). Pre- and post-treatment LS measurements were not significantly different (P > 0.02). In conclusion, transient elastography values correlated with the stage of cirrhosis, alanine aminotransferase levels, and antiviral treatment in patients with chronic hepatitis B and did not correlate with viral loads.

Abstract
Clinic expert information provides important references for residents in need of hospital care. Usually, such information is hidden in the deep web and cannot be directly indexed by search engines. To extract clinic expert information from the deep web, the first challenge is to make a judgment on forms. This paper proposes a novel method based on a domain model, which is a tree structure constructed by the attributes of search interfaces. With this model, search interfaces can be classified to a domain and filled in with domain keywords. Another challenge is to extract information from the returned web pages indexed by search interfaces. To filter the noise information on a web page, a block importance model is proposed. The experiment results indicated that the domain model yielded a precision 10.83% higher than that of the rule-based method, whereas the block importance model yielded an F₁ measure 10.5% higher than that of the XPath method.

Abstract
We investigated azoospermia region microdeletions in male infertility patients with Klinefelter syndrome (KFS), as well as the association between azoospermia symptoms in patients with KFS and Y chromosome microdeletion polymorphisms. A total of 111 cases with male infertility confirmed to have KFS (47, XXY) and 94 fertile men were included in this study. Peripheral blood was drawn and DNA was extracted from these samples. Multiplex polymerase chain reaction was performed to screen the partial deletions of 25 sequence-tagged sites on the Y chromosome. In 111 cases with KFS, 1 case contained the AZFb+d+c deletion. The Gr/Gr deletion was identified in 12 KFS cases and 5 control cases. In addition, the b2/b3 deletion was identified in 13 KFS cases and 6 control cases. There were no significant differences in phenotype and genotype of the 2 partial AZFc deletions between patients and controls (P > 0.05). Our results suggest that patients with KFS may also have Y chromosome microdeletions to varying degrees and that the gr/gr deletion and b2/b3 deletion may not play a role in the susceptible genetic background of azoospermia in patients with KFS in the Sichuan population.

Abstract
Over the last two decades, it has been demonstrated that size effects have significant consequences for the atomic arrangements and phase behavior of matter under extreme pressure. Furthermore, it has been shown that an understanding of how size affects critical pressure-temperature conditions provides vital guidance in the search for materials with novel properties. Here, we report on the remarkable behavior of small (under ~5 nm) matrix-free Ge nanoparticles under hydrostatic compression that is drastically different from both larger nanoparticles and bulk Ge. We discover that the application of pressure drives surface-induced amorphization leading to Ge-Ge bond overcompression and eventually to a polyamorphic semiconductor-to-metal transformation. A combination of spectroscopic techniques together with ab initio simulations were employed to reveal the details of the transformation mechanism into a new high density phase-amorphous metallic Ge.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to measure the genetic diversity of wild beach plum and cultivated species, and to determine the species relationships using SSRs markers. An analysis of genetic diversity from ten beach plum germplasms was carried out using 11 simple sequence repeat (SSR) primers selected from 35 primers to generate distinct PCR products. From this plant material, 44 allele variations were detected, with 3-5 alleles identified from each primer. The analysis showed that the genetic similarity coefficient varied from 0.721 ± 0.155 to 0.848 ± 0.136 within each of the ten beach plum germplasms and changed within the range of 0.551 ± 0.084 to 0.695 ± 0.073 between any two pairs of germplasms. According to the genetic dissimilarity coefficient matrix, a cluster analysis of SSRs using the unweighted pair group mean average method in the NTSYSpc 2.10 software revealed that the ten germplasms could be divided into two groups at the dissimilarity coefficient of 0.606. Class I included 77.8, 12.5, 30, and 33.3% of MM, MI, NY, and CM, respectively. Class II contains the remaining 9 beach plum germplasms. The markers generated by 11 SSR primers proved very effective in distinguishing the beach plum germplasm resources. It was clear that the geographical distribution did not correspond with the genetic relationships among the different beach plum strains. This result will be of value to beach plum breeding programs.

Abstract
Broad-Complex (BR-C) is an early ecdysone-responsive gene encoding a family of zinc-finger transcription factors. In this study, we isolated the full-length cDNA of a BR-C homolog from the testes of the oriental river prawn (Macrobrachium nipponense), according to established expressed sequence tag information, using the rapid amplification of cDNA ends technique. The homolog was designated as MnBR-C. The full-length cDNA of MnBR-C contained a 1095-bp open reading frame encoding a precursor protein of 365 amino acid residues. Comparative and bioinformatic analyses revealed that MnBR-C exhibited a high degree of homology with BR-C proteins, and contained the BTB and Zf-H2C2-2 domains. Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) analysis revealed that the MnBR-C expression level varied significantly in the developing embryo, postembryonic larva, and adult tissue. Real-time qPCR showed that the MnBR-C gene was expressed in all of the tissues investigated, with the highest level of expression in the brain. In addition, MnBR-C was more abundantly expressed in the testes than in the ovaries.
