[A multicenter retrospective study on the efficacy of different anti-reflux reconstruction methods after proximal gastrectomy for gastric cancer]. ZHONGHUA WAI KE ZA ZHI [CHINESE JOURNAL OF SURGERY] 2022; 60:838-845. [PMID: 36058710 DOI: 10.3760/cma.j.cn112139-20220418-00175] [Citation(s) in RCA: 0] [Impact Index Per Article: 0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [MESH Headings] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Indexed: 06/15/2023]
Abstract
Objective: To examine the clinical efficacy of 3 anti-reflux methods of digestive tract reconstruction after proximal gastrectomy for gastric cancer. Methods: The clinical data and follow-up data of gastric cancer patients who underwent anti-reflux reconstruction after proximal gastrectomy in 11 medical centers of China from September 2016 to August 2021 were retrospectively collected, including 273 males and 65 females, aging of (63±10) years (range: 28 to 91 years). Among them, 159 cases were performed with gastric tube anastomosis (GTA), 107 cases with double tract reconstruction (DTR), and 72 cases with double-flap technique (DFT), respectively. The duration of operation, length of postoperative hospital stay and early postoperative complications (referring to Clavien-Dindo classification) of different anti-reflux reconstruction methods were assessed. Body mass index, hemoglobin and albumin were used to reflect postoperative nutritional status. Reflux esophagitis was graded according to Los Angeles criteria based on the routinely gastroscopy within 12 months after surgery. The postoperative quality of life (QoL) was evaluated by Visick score system. The ANOVA analysis, Kruskal-Wallis rank sum test, χ2 test and Fisher's exact test were used for comparison between multiple groups, and further comparison among groups were performed with LSD, Tamhane's test or Bonferroni corrected χ2 test. The mixed effect model was used to compare the trends of Body mass index, hemoglobin and albumin over time among different groups. Results: The operation time of DFT was significantly longer than that of GTA and DTR ((352±63) minutes vs. (221±66) minutes, (352±63) minutes vs. (234±61) minutes, both P<0.01). The incidence of early complications with Clavien-Dindo grade Ⅱ to Ⅴ in GTA, DFT and DTR groups was 17.0% (27/159), 9.7% (7/72) and 10.3% (11/107), respectively, without significant difference among these three groups (χ2=3.51, P=0.173). Body mass index decreased more significantly in GTA than DFT group at 6 and 12 months after surgery (mean difference=1.721 kg/m2, P<0.01; mean difference=2.429 kg/m2, P<0.01). body mass index decreased significantly in DTR compared with DFT at 12 months after surgery (mean difference=1.319 kg/m2, P=0.027). There was no significant difference in hemoglobin or albumin fluctuation between different reconstruction methods perioperative. The incidence of reflux esophagitis one year after surgery in DTR group was 12.9% (4/31), which was lower than that in DFT (45.9% (17/37), χ2=8.63, P=0.003). Follow-up of postoperative quality of life showed the incidence of Visick grade 2 to 4 in DFT group was lower than that in GTA group (10.4% (7/67) vs. 34.6% (27/78), χ2=11.70, P=0.018), while there was no significant difference between DFT and DTR group (10.4% (7/67) vs. 22.2% (8/36, P>0.05). Conclusions: Compared with GTA and DTR, DFT is more time-consuming, but there is no significant difference in early complications among three methods. DFT reconstruction is more conducive to maintain postoperative nutritional status and improve QoL, especially compared with GTA. The risk of reflux esophagitis after DTR reconstruction is lower than that of DFT.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To compare the morphological anatomy and abnormalities of the anterior talofibular ligament (ATFL) and calcaneofibular ligament (CFL) in unilateral chronic ankle instability (CAI). METHODS 22 patients (men: women, 13:9; mean age, 28.95 ± 8.127 years) with unilateral CAI and 18 healthy volunteers (men: women, 9:9, mean age, 28.33 ± 3.678 years) were recruited. MRI scans were divided into Group 1 (22 injured ankles), Group 2 (22 contralateral uninjured ankles), and Group 3 (36 healthy volunteer ankles). The morphologic variables, MRI signal intensity (SI) values were evaluated. RESULTS The ATFL proximal, intermediate, and distal sites and the CFL proximal and distal sites in Group 3 were narrower than those in Group 1 (P <0.05). Both ATFL and CFL in Group 1 were thicker than those in Group 3 (P <0.01). The proximal and intermediate sites of the ATFL and the proximal site of the CFL in Group 3 were narrower than those in Group 2 (P <0.01). The intermediate site of the ATFL and the proximal and distal sites of the CFL in Group 2 were thicker than those in Group 3 (P <0.01). The mean SI values of the ATFL in Group 1 were higher than those in Groups 2 and 3 (P <0.01). The ATFL and CFL SI values were higher in Group 2 than those in Group 3 (P <0.05). CONCLUSION Both the injured and contralateral uninjured ankles had wider ATFL and CFL, more thickness, and higher SI values compared with those of healthy volunteer ankles. ADVANCES IN KNOWLEDGE High-resolution three-dimensional MRI provides a potential tool assisting clinical decision on the treatment and rehabilitation therapy of patients with unilateral CAI.

Research Note: Developmental changes of glucose metabolism are associated with insulin signaling in goose embryo. Poult Sci 2022; 102:102204. [PMID: 37003171 PMCID: PMC10091025 DOI: 10.1016/j.psj.2022.102204] [Citation(s) in RCA: 0] [Impact Index Per Article: 0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Track Full Text] [Journal Information] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 04/15/2022] [Revised: 06/20/2022] [Accepted: 07/02/2022] [Indexed: 11/24/2022] Open
Abstract
This study aimed to investigate whether the developmental changes in glucose metabolism were associated with insulin signaling in the middle and later stages of goose embryos. Serum and liver were sampled on embryonic day 19, 22, 25, 28, and day of hatchment, with 30 eggs at each sampling time point, and 6 replicates of 5 embryos. The embryonic growth traits, serum glucose, hormone levels, and the hepatic mRNA expressions of target genes related to glucose metabolism and insulin signaling were measured at each time point. Relative body weight, relative liver weight, and relative body length decreased linearly and quadratically from embryonic day 19 to day of hatchment, while relative yolk weight decreased linearly from embryonic day 19 to day of hatchment. Serum glucose, insulin, and free triiodothyronine levels increased linearly with increasing incubation time, while no differences were observed in serum glucagon and free thyroxine levels. The hepatic mRNA expression related to glucose catabolism (hexokinase, phosphofructokinase, and pyruvate kinase) and insulin signaling (insulin receptor, insulin receptor substrate protein, Src homology collagen protein, extracellular signal-regulated kinase, and ribosomal protein S6 kinase, 70 ku) increased quadratically from embryonic day 19 to day of hatchment. The expression of citrate synthase and isocitrate dehydrogenase mRNA decreased linearly and quadratically respectively from embryonic day 19 to day of hatchment. Serum glucose levels were positively related to serum insulin (r = 1.00) and free triiodothyronine (r = 0.90) levels, as well as the hepatic mRNA expression of insulin receptor (r = 1.00), insulin receptor substrate protein (r = 0.64), extracellular signal-regulated kinase (r = 0.81), and ribosomal protein S6 kinase, 70 ku (r = 0.81) related to insulin signaling. In conclusion, glucose catabolism was enhanced and had positive correlations with the insulin signaling in the middle and later stages of geese embryogenesis.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the clinical effects of free superficial peroneal artery perforator flaps in repairing skin and soft tissue defects of the hallux. Methods: A retrospective observational study was conducted. From January 2020 to January 2021, 13 patients with skin and soft tissue defects of the hallux who met the inclusion criteria were admitted to Department of Foot and Ankle Surgery of Ruihua Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University, including 12 males and 1 female, aged 26 to 53 years. Before operation, the perforating point of the superficial peroneal artery perforator was located by color Doppler ultrasound on the calf on the same side of the affected hallux and marked on the body surface. The operation was performed under spinal anesthesia combined with continuous epidural anesthesia. The area of skin and soft tissue defect after debridement was 4.5 cm×2.5 cm to 12.0 cm×3.0 cm. According to the size and shape of the wound, the superficial peroneal artery perforator flap was designed with the line between the fibular head and the lateral malleolus tip parallel shifting 2 cm to the tibial side as the flap axis line, and the perforating point of the perforator near the midpoint of the axis line as the center. The cut area of the flap was 5.0 cm×3.0 cm to 13.0 cm×4.0 cm, and part of the deep fascia was cut when the pedicle was freed. The donor site wound was sutured directly. During the operation, the number and type of the perforator and the cutting time of the flap were recorded, and the length of the perforator pedicle and diameter of the perforator were measured. The survival of the flap, the healing time and the healing condition of the donor and recipient areas were recorded after operation. The color, texture, elasticity of the flap, standing and walking functions of patients, the recovery of the donor area, and the patients' satisfaction with the recovery of the donor and recipient areas were recorded during the follow-up. At the last follow-up, the sensation of the flap was evaluated by the British Medical Association sensory function evaluation standard, the function of the affected limb was evaluated by the American Society of Foot and Ankle Surgery scoring system, and the excellent and good rate of the function of the affected limb was calculated. Results: A total of 13 perforators of the superficial peroneal artery were detected during the operation, all of which were septocutaneous perforators, and the perforator diameter was 0.3 to 0.5 mm. The vascular pedicle length was 2 to 5 cm. Flap cutting time was 11 to 26 minutes. The flaps of 13 patients all survived completely. The wounds at the donor and recipient sites healed well 9 to 18 days after operation. During follow-up of 6 to 14 months, the flaps had good color, texture, and elasticity; 11 patients had no obvious bloated appearance, and the other 2 patients underwent flap thinning and plastic surgery in the second stage because of their bloated appearance; all the patients returned to normal walking and standing functions. There was only one linear scar left in the donor site, with no obvious scar hyperplasia or hyperpigmentation. All the patients were satisfied with the recovery of the donor and recipient areas. At the last follow-up, the sensation of the flap was evaluated as grade S3 in 2 cases, grade S2 in 9 cases, and grade S1 in 2 cases; the function of the affected limb was evaluated as excellent in 7 cases and good in 6 cases, with an excellent and good rate of 100%. Conclusions: The free superficial peroneal artery perforator flap has relatively constant vascular anatomy, which is thin and wear-resistant, with less damage to the donor site after flap excision, and can preserve the shape and function of the hallux to the greatest extent. It is an effective method for repairing skin and soft tissue defect of the hallux.

Abstract
This study aims to dynamically assess tumor changes after variable treatments with vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) inhibitor and/or immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) using multimodal imaging of MRI and 18F-FDG PET/CT in a hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) mice model. Based on different treatments, 24 mice were randomly divided into four groups: control (isotype-matched IgG antibody 10 mg/kg), VEGF inhibitor (sorafenib 50 mg/kg), ICI (anti-PD-L1 antibody 10 mg/kg), and combination groups (sorafenib 50 mg/kg + anti-PD-L1 antibody 10 mg/kg). Quantitative imaging assessments, including volume transfer constant (Ktrans), apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC), lactate/choline ratio, and the maximum standardized 18F-FDG uptake value ratio of tumor to muscle (SUVtumor/SUVmuscle ratio), were acquired at different time points (before treatment and 7, 14, and 21 days after treatment). Quantitative data were presented as the mean ± standard errors and two-way repeated-measure ANOVA tests were performed for intergroup and intertime point comparisons. After 21 days from the initiation of therapies, combination group showed the lowest tumor volume and weight, followed by ICI, VEGF inhibitor, and control group, with no significance between the VEGF inhibitor and control groups. In addition, Ktrans values significantly decreased, and the lactate/choline ratio and SUVtumor/SUVmuscle ratio were significantly elevated in the VEGF inhibitor group. ADC significantly increased in the ICI and combination groups, with no significant differences in ADC observed between the control and VEGF inhibitor groups, which showed a similar dynamic change to the tumor volume. Furthermore, Ktrans, lactate/choline ratio, and ADC were significantly correlated with CD31+ area, hypoxyprobe+ area, and apoptosis, respectively. Our results suggest that the singular treatment and combination of the VEGF inhibitor and ICI treatments for HCC present different multimodal imaging changes in accordance with the specific histopathological features. These findings might facilitate the formulation of better treatment response criteria; besides, we find ADC is probably an indicator easily to obtain for treatment response evaluation.

Puerarin protects fibroblasts against mechanical stretching injury through Nrf2/TGF-β1 signaling pathway. Int Urogynecol J 2022; 33:2565-2576. Abstract
INTRODUCTION AND HYPOTHESIS Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is the most common form of urinary incontinence in women, which affects women's quality of life worldwide. Mechanical injury of the pelvic floor may disrupt the pelvic supportive tissues and connections via the remodeling of extracellular matrix (ECM), which is supposed to be one of the main pathological mechanisms of SUI. METHODS The SUI mouse model was established using vaginal distension (VD). Leak point pressure (LPP), maximum cystometric capacity (MCC), collagen, Nrf2 and TGF-β1 in the anterior vaginal wall were measured in either wild-type or Nrf2-knockout (Nrf2-/-) female C57BL/6 mice with or without puerarin treatment. Then, the mechanical stretching (MS) loaded on L929 cells was generated by a four-point bending device. mTGF-β1 or LY2109761 (an inhibitor of TGF-β1) was used to verify the protective effect of puerarin after Nrf2 knockdown or overexpression. RESULTS The collagen content of the anterior vaginal tissues in VD mice and LPP and MCC was decreased significantly. Besides, the expression levels of Nrf2, TGF-β1, collagen I and collagen III of MS group were downregulated in L929 cells. Puerarin pretreatment could reverse mechanical injury-induced collagen downregulation and Nrf2/TGF-β1 signaling inhibition. Moreover, both LY2109761 pretreatment and Nrf2 knockdown could attenuate the protective effect of puerarin in the mechanical injury-induced ECM remodeling, whereas exogenous TGF-β1 could counteract the effect of Nrf2 downregulation. CONCLUSIONS Puerarin protected fibroblasts from mechanical injury-induced ECM remodeling through the Nrf2/TGF-β1 signaling pathway. This might be a new strategy for the treatment of SUI.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the impact of metabolic risk factors on the epidemiological characteristics of the reactivation of inactive HBsAg carriers (IHC) and provide effective intervention measures to standardize the management of chronic hepatitis B infections. Methods: Based on the chronic hepatitis B infection cohort established in 2010 in Jiangsu province, six follow-up visits from 2012 to 2020 were conducted to analyze the characteristics and influencing factors of the hepatitis B reactivation of IHC and the impact of metabolic risk factors, including obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes and hyperglycemia. Results: From 2012 to 2020, 2 527 IHC and 17 730 person-years were observed during a median follow-up period of 7.0 person-years. Ninety-eight cases of hepatitis B reactivation, with a cumulative reaction rate, was 3.9%, and the incidence density was 5.53/1 000 person-years. Multivariate Cox proportional risk regression analysis showed that age and baseline HBV DNA were independent risk factors of HBV reactivation. Compared with the patients ≥60 years, 40-49 age group (aHR=2.16, 95%CI:1.20-3.90) and 20-29 age group (aHR=5.48, 95%CI:2.07-14.48) were significantly associated with hepatitis B reactivation. Compared with the HBV DNA negative patients at baseline, the risk of hepatitis B reactivation was higher in the group with low HBV DNA level 100-1 999 IU/ml (aHR=1.67, 95%CI:1.11-2.52). Stratification analysis results showed that compared with those without metabolic risk factors, in the ≥50 age group, patients with ≥2 metabolic risk factors showed adjusted HR of 2.73 (95%CI:1.08-6.96). Conclusions: The risk of hepatitis B being reactive is the persistent existence of IHC in communities in Jiangsu province, especially young adults, low-level HBV DNA carriers, and IHC with ≥2 metabolic risk factors. Follow-up for these IHC should be strengthened to reduce the risk of disease progression by antiviral treatment at the right time.

Abstract
We report on a search for compact binary coalescences where at least one binary component has a mass between 0.2 M_{⊙} and 1.0 M_{⊙} in Advanced LIGO and Advanced Virgo data collected between 1 April 2019 1500 UTC and 1 October 2019 1500 UTC. We extend our previous analyses in two main ways: we include data from the Virgo detector and we allow for more unequal mass systems, with mass ratio q≥0.1. We do not report any gravitational-wave candidates. The most significant trigger has a false alarm rate of 0.14 yr^{-1}. This implies an upper limit on the merger rate of subsolar binaries in the range [220-24200] Gpc^{-3} yr^{-1}, depending on the chirp mass of the binary. We use this upper limit to derive astrophysical constraints on two phenomenological models that could produce subsolar-mass compact objects. One is an isotropic distribution of equal-mass primordial black holes. Using this model, we find that the fraction of dark matter in primordial black holes in the mass range 0.2 M_{⊙}<m_{PBH}<1.0 M_{⊙} is f_{PBH}≡Ω_{PBH}/Ω_{DM}≲6%. This improves existing constraints on primordial black hole abundance by a factor of ∼3. The other is a dissipative dark matter model, in which fermionic dark matter can collapse and form black holes. The upper limit on the fraction of dark matter black holes depends on the minimum mass of the black holes that can be formed: the most constraining result is obtained at M_{min}=1 M_{⊙}, where f_{DBH}≡Ω_{DBH}/Ω_{DM}≲0.003%. These are the first constraints placed on dissipative dark models by subsolar-mass analyses.

Abstract
Ductal origin of distal pulmonary artery (DODPA) is a rare congenital cardiovascular anomaly, with an incidence of approximately 1 in 200 000 people. It involves the proximal interruption of one pulmonary artery branch, with the distal part arising from the base of the brachiocephalic artery, via the ipsilateral ductus arteriosus (DA) and the intrapulmonary branch of the pulmonary artery is usually intact. If timely treatment is not provided after birth, it is very likely that, due to DA closure, severe hypoplasia will occur in the lung supplied by the abnormal pulmonary artery. Hence, prenatal diagnosis of DODPA is important to enable initiation of prostaglandin treatment and early rehabilitation of the affected lung. Herein, we report three cases of fetal DODPA diagnosed via two-dimensional (2D) ultrasonography combined with four-dimensional (4D) spatiotemporal image correlation. We also present a literature review, and explore the ultrasonographic findings and the importance of 2D and 4D ultrasonography in obtaining an accurate prenatal diagnosis of DODPA. © 2021 International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The production of platelets is tightly regulated by thrombopoietin (THPO). Mutations in the THPO gene cause thrombocytopenia. Although mice lacking Thpo present with thrombocytopenia, predicting phenotypes and pathogenicity of novel THPO mutations in mice is limited. Zebrafish can be a powerful tool for fast validation and study of candidate genes of human hematological diseases and have already been used as a model of human thrombocytopenia. OBJECTIVES We aim to investigate the role of Thpo in zebrafish thrombopoiesis and to establish a Thpo-deficient zebrafish model. The model could be applied for illustrating the clinically discovered human THPO variants of which the clinical significance is not known and to evaluate the effect of THPO receptor agonists (THPO-Ras), as well as a screening platform for new drugs. METHODS We generated a thpo loss-of-function zebrafish model using CRISPR/Cas9. After disruption of zebrafish thpo, thposzy6 zebrafish presented with a significant reduction of thpo expression and developed thrombocytopenia. Furthermore, we performed in vivo studies with zebrafish with the thposzy6 mutation and found two human clinical point mutations (c.091C > T and c.112C > T) that were responsible for the thrombocytopenia phenotype. In addition, effects of THPO-RAs used as therapeutics against thrombocytopenia were evaluated in the Tg(mpl:eGFP);thposzy6 line. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS Zebrafish with the mutation thposzy6 presented with a significant reduction of thpo expression and developed thrombocytopenia. Thpo loss-of-function zebrafish model can serve as a valuable preclinical model for thrombocytopenia caused by thpo-deficiency, as well as a tool to study human clinical THPO variants and evaluate the effect of THPO-RAs.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES This study aimed to evaluate the clinical value of metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) in patients with suspected lower respiratory tract infections (LRTIs). METHODS This retrospective study reviewed patients with suspected LRTIs in Wuhan Union Hospital. Data including demographic, laboratory, and radiological profiles; treatment; and outcomes were recorded and analyzed. RESULTS mNGS identified pathogenic microbes in 100/140 (71.4%) patients, although 135 (96.4%) had received empiric antibiotic treatment before the mNGS tests. Single bacterial infection (35/100, 35%) was the most common type of infection in patients with positive mNGS results, followed by single fungal infection (14/100, 14%), bacterial-viral co-infection (14/100, 14%), single viral infection (12/100, 12%), bacterial-fungal co-infection (9/100, 9%), fungal-viral co-infection (9/100, 9%), and bacterial-fungal-viral co-infection (7/100, 7%). Moreover, compared with culture test, mNGS showed higher sensitivity (63/85, 74.1% vs. 22/85, 25.9% P=0.001) and lower processing time (24 h vs 48 h). Antibiotic treatment was adjusted or confirmed based on the mNGS results in 123 (87.9%) patients, including 5 (3.6%), 33 (23.6%) and 85 (60.7%) patients in whom treatment was downgraded, upgraded and unchanged, respectively, and almost all patients, regardless of escalation, de-escalation, or no change in treatment, showed significant improvement in clinical symptoms and inflammatory indicators. Additionally, 17 (12.1%) patients were referred to Wuhan Pulmonary Hospital for further treatment because of confirmed or suspected tuberculosis. CONCLUSIONS mNGS could be a promising technique for microbiological diagnosis and antibiotic management, potentially improving outcomes of patients.

A novel framework of credit risk feature selection for SMEs during industry 4.0. ANNALS OF OPERATIONS RESEARCH 2022:1-28. Abstract
With the development of industry 4.0, the credit data of SMEs are characterized by a large volume, high speed, diversity and low-value density. How to select the key features that affect the credit risk from the high-dimensional data has become the critical point to accurately measure the credit risk of SMEs and alleviate their financing constraints. In doing so, this paper proposes a credit risk feature selection approach that integrates the binary opposite whale optimization algorithm (BOWOA) and the Kolmogorov-Smirnov (KS) statistic. Furthermore, we use seven machine learning classifiers and three discriminant methods to verify the robustness of the proposed model by using three actual bank data from SMEs. The empirical results show that although no one artificial intelligence credit evaluation method is universal for different SMEs' credit data, the performance of the BOWOA-KS model proposed in this paper is better than other methods if the number of indicators in the optimal subset of indicators and the prediction performance of the classifier are considered simultaneously. By providing a high-dimensional data feature selection method and improving the predictive performance of credit risk, it could help SMEs focus on the factors that will allow them to improve their creditworthiness and more easily access loans from financial institutions. Moreover, it will also help government agencies and policymakers develop policies to help SMEs reduce their credit risks.

Abstract
This Letter reports the first measurement of high-energy reactor antineutrinos at Daya Bay, with nearly 9000 inverse beta decay candidates in the prompt energy region of 8-12 MeV observed over 1958 days of data collection. A multivariate analysis is used to separate 2500 signal events from background statistically. The hypothesis of no reactor antineutrinos with neutrino energy above 10 MeV is rejected with a significance of 6.2 standard deviations. A 29% antineutrino flux deficit in the prompt energy region of 8-11 MeV is observed compared to a recent model prediction. We provide the unfolded antineutrino spectrum above 7 MeV as a data-based reference for other experiments. This result provides the first direct observation of the production of antineutrinos from several high-Q_{β} isotopes in commercial reactors.

Abstract
Based on (10087±44)×10^{6} J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, the process J/ψ→γπ^{+}π^{-}η^{'} is studied using two largest decay channels of the η^{'} meson, η^{'}→γπ^{+}π^{-} and η^{'}→ηπ^{+}π^{-}, η→γγ. A new resonance, which we denote as the X(2600), is observed with a statistical significance larger than 20σ in the π^{+}π^{-}η^{'} invariant mass spectrum, and it has a connection to a structure around 1.5 GeV/c^{2} in the π^{+}π^{-} invariant mass spectrum. A simultaneous fit on the π^{+}π^{-}η^{'} and π^{+}π^{-} invariant mass spectra with the two η^{'} decay modes indicates that the mass and width of the X(2600) state are 2618.3±2.0_{-1.4}^{+16.3} MeV/c^{2} and 195±5_{-17}^{+26} MeV, where the first uncertainties are statistical, and the second systematic.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the research progresses of economic evaluation of non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) both at home and abroad, and provide reference for economic evaluation of NPIs using real-world data in China. Methods: The literature retrieval was conducted by searching Chinese and English databases to indude papers about economic evaluation of NPIs and integrated NPIs published from January, 2020 to December, 2021, and the results were analyzed comprehensively. Results: A total of 30 Chinese and English literatures about economic evaluation of NPIs for COVID-19 prevention and control were included; including 7 papers about nucleic acid and testing and screening, 6 papers about individual prevention and protection measures, 12 papers about integrated implementation of individual prevention and protection, social distancing, nucleic acid or antigen testing, community screening and symptom screening, as well as close contact tracing and isolation/quarantine, and 5 papers about contain strategies, such as lockdown. This study found that personal protection, social distancing, and testing-tracing-isolation measures were cost-effective; however, different combinations of NPIs might lead to different results. Moreover, the cost of lockdown was high, which might cause huge economic burden. Conclusions: Most NPIs are cost-effective except lockdown, while the cost-effectiveness of the integrations of NPIs at different levels and in different scenarios needs to be further evaluated. It is necessary to carry out economic evaluation of integrated NPIs and the combination of NPIs with other interventions, such as vaccination and medication, based on real-world settings in China.

Abstract
Using a sample of about 10^{10} J/ψ events collected at a center-of-mass energy sqrt[s]=3.097 GeV with the BESIII detector, the electromagnetic Dalitz decays J/ψ→e^{+}e^{-}π^{+}π^{-}η^{'}, with η^{'}→γπ^{+}π^{-} and η^{'}→π^{+}π^{-}η, have been studied. The decay J/ψ→e^{+}e^{-}X(1835) is observed with a significance of 15σ, and also an e^{+}e^{-} invariant-mass dependent transition form factor of J/ψ→e^{+}e^{-}X(1835) is presented for the first time. The intermediate states X(2120) and X(2370) are also observed in the π^{+}π^{-}η^{'} invariant-mass spectrum with significances of 5.3σ and 7.3σ. The corresponding product branching fractions for J/ψ→e^{+}e^{-}X, X→π^{+}π^{-}η^{'} [X=X(1835), X(2120), and X(2370)] are reported.

Abstract
In the case of comparing means of various groups, data exploration and comparison for affecting factors or relative indices would be involved. This process is not only complex requiring extensive statistical knowledge and methods, but also challenging for the complex installation of existing tools for users who lack of statistical knowledge and coding experience. Like, the normal distribution and equal variance are crucial premises of parametric statistical analysis. But some studies reported that associated data from various industries violated the normal distribution and equal variance, parametric analysis still involved leading to invalid results. This is owing to that the normal distribution tests and homogeneity of variance test for different variables are time-cost and error-prone, posing an urgent need for an automatic and user-friendly analysis application, not only integrating normal distribution tests and homogeneity of variance test, but also associated the following statistical analysis. To address this, we developed a Shiny/R application, moreThanANOVA, which is an interactive, user-friendly, open-source and cloud-based visualization application to achieve automatic distribution tests, and correlative significance tests, then customize post-hoc analysis based on the considerations to the trade-off of Type I and Type II errors (deployed at https://hanchen.shinyapps.io/moreThanANOVA/). moreThanANOVA enables novice users to perform their complex statistical analyses quickly and credibly with interactive visualization and download publication-ready graphs for further analysis.

Abstract
Abstract
Study question
Does co-administration of GnRH agonist and Human chorionic gonadotropin(dual trigger) in PGT cycles improve the number of usable blastocysts per patient compared to hCG alone?
Summary answer
Using the dual trigger has no effect on the number of usable blastocysts undergoing the GnRH-ant protocol for PGT compared to triggering with hCG alone.
What is known already
HCG is used at the end of controlled ovarian hyperstimulation as a surrogate LH surge to induce final oocyte maturation. Recently, based on retrospective studies, the co-administration of GnRH agonist and hCG for final oocyte maturation (dual trigger) has been suggested to improve IVF outcome and pregnancy rates.
Study design, size, duration
A prospective, randomized, open-label controlled clinical trial (ChiCTR-ICR-2000031342), enrolled patients attending our university affiliated Infertility and IVF center (the Reproductive and Genetic Hospital of CITIC-Xiangya, China) between August 2020 and June 2021. This sample size achieves with a power of 80%, at a significance level(α) of 0.05. A sample size of 160 patients, 80 randomized to each group, was chosen to allow for those 10% dropped out.
Participants/materials, setting, methods
The inclusion criteria for participating were: women age 20–35years, AMH≥1.2ng/ml and /or AFC ≥5, Couples with PGT-SR preimplantation genetic testing for chromosomal structural rearrangements (patients with abnormal chromosomal structure only in male or female), undergoing one of their first PGT cycle attempts. Patients fulfilled the criteria on the trigger day were randomly assigned to receive hCG or the dual trigger for final oocyte maturation. The primary outcome was the number of usable blastocysts per patient.
Main results and the role of chance
160 patients were included in the study. The age (29.1 years versus 29.4 years), BMI (22.1 kg/m2 versus 21.9 kg/m2) and the AMH (5.3 ng/ml versus 5.3 ng/ml) were comparable between the two groups. Based on PP analysis, there were no statistical difference in the number of eggs retrieved (17.1 versus 15.9), the MII oocytes (13.3 versus 12.5), the number of usable blastocysts per patient (5.0 versus 4.6) and top-quality blastocysts per patient (3.4 versus 3.2) between the two groups.
Limitations, reasons for caution
None
Wider implications of the findings
The enhanced response observed with the dual trigger might lead to better IVF outcomes were it used more widely.

Abstract
Pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) is a rare neutrophilic dermatosis, closely associated with the immune system. Its pathogenesis is currently not clear. The lack of specificity in the clinical manifestations and histopathological changes of PG leads to a long clinical diagnosis cycle and even misdiagnosis, which is easy to delay treatment or promote the deterioration of ulcer wound. The diagnosis of this disease is still very difficult, which poses a great challenge to wound repair practitioners. This article reviews the research advances on the pathophysiology, clinical features, and diagnosis of PG in recent years, with the aim of providing reference for relevant clinical practitioners.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the clinical data, especially the occurrence of hematotoxicity, of hospitalized elderly patients who took Linezolid (LZD), and to further explore the related risk factors. Methods: Our study enrolled the elderly inpatients treated with linezolid at the Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital, the Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University Medical School from January 2018 to September 2021. The hospital information system data were retrieved to retrospectively analyze the clinical characteristics of patients, particularly the clinical characteristics and related risk factors of patients who experienced hematotoxic reactions to LZD. Results: Of the 233 eligible cases included, 103 patients received empirical use of LZD (44.21%). The total effective rate was 76.39% (178/233). Among the 57 effective cases who received blood drug concentration monitoring, the trough concentration of LZD was high in 36.84 % (21/57) of elderly patients. Moreover, there were 15 patients with thrombocytopenia alone, 3 patients with decreased hemoglobin (HB) alone, and 3 patients with both thrombocytopenia and HB decrease. The patients who experienced hematotoxicity (developed a certain degree of hemoglobin decrease and/or thrombocytopenia) were more likely to be complicated with renal impairment (χ²=6.642, P=0.036), concomitantly using proton pump inhibitor (PPI) (χ²=4.566, P=0.033), and had a longer course of LZD treatment (P=0.041). There was no linear correlation between the trough concentration of LZD and glomerular filtration rate evaluated by Modification of Diet in Renal Disease Formula (eGFRMDRD) (R=0.226, P=0.136). Conclusions: The elderly patients, especially those with renal impairment, concomitant treatment with PPI, and a longer course of LZD treatment, exhibited a higher risk of hematotoxicity during LZD treatment. Hence, we should strengthen the protection of renal function, reduce drug interaction, and dynamically monitor the blood drug concentration of LZD to adjust its dose, thus implementing safer and more effective treatments.

Abstract
To detect the expression of galectin-13 in allergic diseases and provide a new way for the diagnosis and treatment of allergic diseases. A retrospective analysis method was used to screen 216 patients with allergic diseases with house dust mites or aspergillus as allergens who visited the Department of Allergy and Department of Respiratory of Tongji Hospital attached Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology from March 2018 to May 2021. These allergic diseases included allergic asthma, allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis, allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, atopic dermatitis, allergic urticaria. 25 subjects without underlying diseases were selected as healthy controls. The galectin-13 content in serum in each group were detected, and the Pearson correlation was used to determine the correlation between the galectin-13 content in serum in each group and blood eosinophil count, blood specific IgE, the score scale of allergic disease. The expression of Galectin-13 was increased in allergic asthma group (71.44±39.44) pg/ml, allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis group (100.10±47.62) pg/ml, allergic rhinitis group (54.11±24.81) pg/ml and dermatitis group (44.12±19.51) pg/ml. The expression of galectin-13 was not significantly increased in allergic urticaria group (32.75±10.29) pg/ml and the allergic conjunctivitis group (30.55±9.87) pg/ml. The galectin-13 content in serum, was positively correlated with blood eosinophil count(rs=0.54, P<0.001) and house dust mite specific IgE (rs=0.51, P<0.001) in allergic asthma group, and was positively correlated with blood eosinophil count(rs=0.63, P=0.025) and aspergillus fumigatus specific IgE (rs=0.58, P=0.046) in allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis group. It was positively correlated with blood eosinophil count (rs=0.52, P=0.000 2) and house dust mite specific IgE (rs=0.41, P=0.005) in allergic rhinitis group. In allergic conjunctivitis group, the expression of galectin-13 was positively correlated with conjunctivitis symptom score (rs=0.47, P=0.048). In atopic dermatitis group, the expression of galectin-13 was positively correlated with blood eosinophil count (rs=0.58, P<0.001) and house dust mite specificity IgE (rs=0.47, P=0.002). In allergic urticaria group, the expression of galectin-13 was not significantly correlated with blood eosinophil count or house dust mite specific IgE. Galectin-13 may be related to the occurrence and progress of allergic diseases and may be involved in the occurrence of eosinophilic inflammation.

Polydatin, A Glycoside of Resveratrol, Is Better Than Resveratrol in Alleviating Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease in Mice Fed a High-Fructose Diet. Front Nutr 2022; 9:857879. Abstract
Resveratrol (RES) is considered to be an activator of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) with many reported health benefits. Polydatin (POD) is a natural precursor and glycosylated form of RES. The glycoside structure of POD alters the bioactivity. Overnutrition-stimulated reactive oxygen species (ROS) promote the AMPK suppression and metabolic dysregulation. The present work compared the effects of POD and RES in ameliorating energy homeostasis imbalance in mice fed a high-fructose diet and elucidated the underlying mechanisms of action. Our results showed that POD elevated the fecal levels of valeric acid and caproic acid via modification of gut microbiota, while RES did not significantly influence the levels of fecal short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs). Both POD and RES markedly decreased the oxidative stress and activated the AMPK signaling pathways in the liver. POD and RES exerted a similar effect in alleviating glucose dysmetabolism, but POD was more effective in ameliorating lipid dysmetabolism than RES. Furthermore, valeric acid and caproic acid alone can activate the AMPK and ameliorate hypercholesterolemia, and enhance the effects of POD on improving lipid metabolism in mice. Overall, for the first time, we demonstrated that POD administration elevated the fecal levels of valeric acid and caproic acid by modifying gut microbiota, thus promoting AMPK activation may be the underlying mechanism that POD is superior to RES in alleviating the lipid dysmetabolism. Our results suggest that POD may be an alternative for RES as an AMPK activator.

Abstract
Though immensely successful, the standard model of particle physics does not offer any explanation as to why our Universe contains so much more matter than antimatter. A key to a dynamically generated matter-antimatter asymmetry is the existence of processes that violate the combined charge conjugation and parity (CP) symmetry1. As such, precision tests of CP symmetry may be used to search for physics beyond the standard model. However, hadrons decay through an interplay of strong and weak processes, quantified in terms of relative phases between the amplitudes. Although previous experiments constructed CP observables that depend on both strong and weak phases, we present an approach where sequential two-body decays of entangled multi-strange baryon-antibaryon pairs provide a separation between these phases. Our method, exploiting spin entanglement between the double-strange Ξ- baryon and its antiparticle2 [Formula: see text], has enabled a direct determination of the weak-phase difference, (ξP - ξS) = (1.2 ± 3.4 ± 0.8) × 10-2 rad. Furthermore, three independent CP observables can be constructed from our measured parameters. The precision in the estimated parameters for a given data sample size is several orders of magnitude greater than achieved with previous methods3. Finally, we provide an independent measurement of the recently debated Λ decay parameter αΛ (refs. 4,5). The [Formula: see text] asymmetry is in agreement with and compatible in precision to the most precise previous measurement4.

Abstract
PURPOSE The application of conventional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in combination with diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and diffusion tensor tractography (DTT) to diagnose acute traumatic cervical SCI has not been studied. This study explores the role of MRI with DTI-DTT in the diagnosis of acute traumatic cervical spinal cord injury (SCI). METHODS Thirty patients with acute traumatic cervical SCI underwent conventional MRI and DTI-DTT. Conventional MRI was used to detect the intramedullary lesion length (IMLL) and intramedullary hemorrhage length (IMHL). DTI was used to detect the spinal cord's fractional anisotropy (FA) and apparent diffusion coefficient value, and DTT detected the imaginary white matter fiber volume and the connection rates of fiber tractography (CRFT). Patients' neurological outcome was determined using the American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA) Impairment Scale (AIS) grades. RESULTS Patients were divided into group A (without AIS grade conversion) and group B (with AIS grade conversion). The IMLL and IMHL of group A were significantly higher than those of group B. The FA and CRFT of group A were significantly lower than those of group B. The final AIS grade was negatively correlated with the IMLL and IMHL, and positively correlated with the FA and CRFT. According to imaging features based on conventional MRI and DTI-DTT, we propose a novel classification and diagnostic procedure. CONCLUSIONS The combination of conventional MRI with DTI-DTT is a valid diagnostic approach for SCI. Lower IMLL and IMHL, and higher FA value and CRFT are linked to better neurological outcomes.

The H3K27M mutation alters stem cell growth, epigenetic regulation, and differentiation potential. BMC Biol 2022; 20:124. Abstract
BACKGROUND Neurodevelopmental disorders increase brain tumor risk, suggesting that normal brain development may have protective properties. Mutations in epigenetic regulators are common in pediatric brain tumors, highlighting a potentially central role for disrupted epigenetic regulation of normal brain development in tumorigenesis. For example, lysine 27 to methionine mutation (H3K27M) in the H3F3A gene occurs frequently in Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Gliomas (DIPGs), the most aggressive pediatric glioma. As H3K27M mutation is necessary but insufficient to cause DIPGs, it is accompanied by additional mutations in tumors. However, how H3K27M alone increases vulnerability to DIPG tumorigenesis remains unclear. RESULTS Here, we used human embryonic stem cell models with this mutation, in the absence of other DIPG contributory mutations, to investigate how H3K27M alters cellular proliferation and differentiation. We found that H3K27M increased stem cell proliferation and stem cell properties. It interfered with differentiation, promoting anomalous mesodermal and ectodermal gene expression during both multi-lineage and germ layer-specific cell specification, and blocking normal differentiation into neuroectoderm. H3K27M mutant clones exhibited transcriptomic diversity relative to the more homogeneous wildtype population, suggesting reduced fidelity of gene regulation, with aberrant expression of genes involved in stem cell regulation, differentiation, and tumorigenesis. These phenomena were associated with global loss of H3K27me3 and concordant loss of DNA methylation at specific genes in H3K27M-expressing cells. CONCLUSIONS Together, these data suggest that H3K27M mutation disrupts normal differentiation, maintaining a partially differentiated state with elevated clonogenicity during early development. This disrupted response to early developmental cues could promote tissue properties that enable acquisition of additional mutations that cooperate with H3K27M mutation in genesis of DMG/DIPG. Therefore, this work demonstrates for the first time that H3K27M mutation confers vulnerability to gliomagenesis through persistent clonogenicity and aberrant differentiation and defines associated alterations of histone and DNA methylation.

Abstract
In recent decades, our understanding of periodontitis has evolved from that based on a gross/histologic level to one on a cellular/molecular level. Previous landscape studies have explored molecular subtyping, diagnosis, and gingival tissue cell decomposition in periodontitis, and meaningful results have been obtained at a transcriptomic level. However, current periodontitis transcriptomic studies lack a finer dissection of the intercommunication between immune cells and the biological processes of specific immune cell subtypes. In this study, we classified 15 immune cell types in periodontitis at a single-cell level and conducted a cell communication analysis based on a multicenter integrated single-cell transcriptome profile, in which plasma cell-generated macrophage migration inhibitory factor can communicate with most other immune cells in periodontitis. A pseudotime analysis focusing on B/plasma cell infiltration in periodontitis revealed 2 distinct cell fates (CFs) for B/plasma cells. In addition, at a bulk tissue level, a single-sample gene set enrichment analysis showed a similar immune cell infiltration trend, and a weighted gene coexpression network analysis identified an immune-related gene module. Combined with the above findings, we used machine learning methods to further narrow down potential gene candidates for developing and validating molecular diagnostic models of periodontitis. Multivariable logistic regression of a large public cohort (68 healthy vs. 235 periodontitis) and an independent validation cohort (12 healthy vs. 7 periodontitis) showed the CF1 signature provides a good discrimination and calibration performance with clinical benefits at a proper threshold probability. Furthermore, quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction validation of the gene candidates was performed in both snap-frozen gingival tissues and gingival crevicular fluids. Our transcriptomic landscape analysis at both single-cell and bulk tissue resolutions thereby illustrates the B/plasma cell infiltration process in periodontitis and reveals a gene signature that may assist in molecular diagnosis of the disease.

Abstract
AIMS To explore the association of obesity with the progression and outcome of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) at the acute period and 5-month follow-up from the perspectives of computed tomography (CT) imaging with artificial intelligence (AI)-based quantitative evaluation, which may help to predict the risk of obese COVID-19 patients progressing to severe and critical disease. MATERIALS AND METHODS This retrospective cohort enrolled 213 hospitalized COVID-19 patients. Patients were classified into three groups according to their body mass index (BMI): normal weight (from 18.5 to <24 kg/m2 ), overweight (from 24 to <28 kg/m2 ) and obesity (≥28 kg/m2 ). RESULTS Compared with normal-weight patients, patients with higher BMI were associated with more lung involvements in lung CT examination (lung lesions volume [cm3 ], normal weight vs. overweight vs. obesity; 175.5[34.0-414.9] vs. 261.7[73.3-576.2] vs. 395.8[101.6-1135.6]; p = 0.002), and were more inclined to deterioration at the acute period. At the 5-month follow-up, the lung residual lesion was more serious (residual total lung lesions volume [cm3 ], normal weight vs. overweight vs. obesity; 4.8[0.0-27.4] vs. 10.7[0.0-55.5] vs. 30.1[9.5-91.1]; p = 0.015), and the absorption rates were lower for higher BMI patients (absorption rates of total lung lesions volume [%], normal weight vs. overweight vs. obesity; 99.6[94.0-100.0] vs. 98.9[85.2-100.0] vs. 88.5[66.5-95.2]; p = 0.013). The clinical-plus-AI parameter model was superior to the clinical-only parameter model in the prediction of disease deterioration (areas under the ROC curve, 0.884 vs. 0.794, p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS Obesity was associated with severe pneumonia lesions on CT and adverse clinical outcomes. The AI-based model with combinational use of clinical and CT parameters had incremental prognostic value over the clinical parameters alone.

Attributable risk and economic cost of hospital admissions for depression due to short-exposure to ambient air pollution: A multi-city time-stratified case-crossover study. J Affect Disord 2022; 304:150-158. [PMID: 35219742 DOI: 10.1016/j.jad.2022.02.064] [Citation(s) in RCA: 1] [Impact Index Per Article: 0.5] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Key Words] [MESH Headings] [Track Full Text] [Journal Information] [Submit a Manuscript] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 11/28/2021] [Revised: 01/28/2022] [Accepted: 02/21/2022] [Indexed: 11/19/2022]
Abstract
BACKGROUND Depression has become the most common mental disease globally and is a strong predictor for suicide. Studies have indicated that exposure to high levels of air pollution increased the risk of depression, but evidence in human populations is still limited. At present, a few studies estimated the impact of multi-pollutants on hospitalization for depression in multi-city in areas with severe air pollution. We aimed to examine the association between short-term exposure to common ambient air pollutants and hospital admissions (HAs) for depression based on statistics of inpatients with depression in multi-city. METHODS The 10,459 records of HAs for depression from medical institutions in nine cities/prefectures, Sichuan Province, China, between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2018 were collected. Air pollutant data including PM2.5, PM10, SO2 and NO2 from provincial ecological environment monitoring stations were obtained. Based on a time-stratified case-crossover design, we estimated the impact on relative risk (RR) of short-term exposure to air pollutants on hospitalization for depression, with stratification by sex, age, and economic level. The cost of illness method was used to further assess hospitalization costs. RESULTS The short-term exposure to air pollutants was positively associated with hospitalization for depression. The increase of air particulate matter (PM) had the strongest effect on lag 0 day (PM2.5:1.037 (95% CI:1.022,1.052), PM10:1.024 (95% CI:1.013,1.036)). The effects of SO2 reached the peak on lag 2 day (1.317 (95% CI:1.151,1.507)). Women and older people were more likely to be affected by air pollutants and prone to depression (P = 0.013, P = 0.006). During the study period, the economic cost of hospitalization for depression caused by PM pollution was US$ 8.36 million. LIMITATIONS The air pollutant concentration level of the monitoring stations in the study area was regarded as personal pollutant exposure, which may not accurately reflect the patient's exposure level, resulting in a certain measurement error. CONCLUSIONS Short-term changes to ambient air pollution exposure may increase the risk of hospital admissions for depression and cause economic costs due to hospitalization.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The relationship of osteoporosis and stroke is still not fully clarified. Apart from the well-known risk factors for stroke, bone mineral density (BMD) has gained more interest in recent years. AIM To further elucidate the relationship between BMD and stroke risk, a prospective cohort study in the Chinese rural population was conducted. DESIGN Retrospective analysis of a family osteoporosis cohort. METHODS Our subjects were selected from an osteoporosis cohort conducted in Anqing, China. All participants underwent a questionnaire assessment, clinical examinations and laboratory assessments. During the follow-up period, the number of people who had a stroke was recorded. Generalized estimating equation regression analysis was performed to determine the significance of the association between BMD and stroke. RESULTS A total of 17868 people were included. A two-way interaction test of sex and BMD on stroke was significant (P = 0.002). There was a significant difference in BMD and stroke morbidity in the male group (P = 0.003). When BMD was assessed as quartiles and the lowest quartile was used as reference, a significantly lower risk for stroke was observed in Q2-4. Notably, no significant difference was observed in female participants with adjusted odds ratio (P > 0.05). The P-value for interaction was calculated. The body mass index (P = 0.014) and waist-to-hip ratio (P = 0.027) were found to be significantly associated with BMD and stroke risk in female participants. CONCLUSIONS In Chinese rural areas, total BMD may negatively correlated with stroke, especially in men.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the efficacy and safety of 585 nm Q-switched laser in the treatment of acne inflammatory lesions and postinflammatory erythema. METHODS A total of 25 patients with moderate facial acne, symmetrical distribution of inflammatory lesions and postinflammatory erythema on both sides of the face, were enrolled. Among the 25 patients, 22 patients completed all the treatment and evaluation, and 3 patients were lost to follow-up. 585 nm Q-switched laser was used on a randomly selected side of the face for three times of treatment at a 2 week interval. The evaluations were made before each treatment, 2 and 4 weeks after the last treatment, therefore the evaluation time points were before the treatment, weeks 2, 4, 6, and 8, respectively, for a total of 5 times. Acne severity was assessed using the investigator' s global assessment (IGA) score, and erythema severity was assessed using the investigator' s subjective erythema score and narrow-spectrum reflectance spectrophotometer at each follow-up. RESULTS After 3 times of treatment, there was statistically significant difference between the IGA score in week 8 and before treatment on both sides(Z=2.64, P < 0.01; Z=2.67, P < 0.01). There was no significant difference in IGA score between the treatment side and the control side before treatment and in week 8 (P=0.59, P=0.26). There was statistically significant difference between the investiga-tor' s subjective erythema score in week 8 and before treatment on the treatment side(Z=4.24, P < 0.01), while no significant difference was showed on the control side(Z=1.73, P=0.08). In week 8, the investigator's subjective erythema score of the treatment side was lower than that of the control side (Z=3.61, P < 0.01). The erythema index of the treatment side was significantly decreased at 5 time points (P < 0.01), and the index decreased significantly in week 8 compared with the index before treatment (P < 0.01), while the erythema index of the control side was not significantly different at 5 time points. The treatment related adverse events included erythema and edema after treatment and pain during treatment, the severity was mild to moderate, which resolved spontaneously within 1 to 3 days. Nine patients were very satisfied with the treatment, 7 patients were satisfied, and 6 patients considered average. CONCLUSION 585 nm Q-switched laser has some effect in the treatment of postinflammatory erythema, and it ensures good tolerance and safety. There was no statistically significant difference between the treatment side and the control side on the improvement of acne inflammatory lesions.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the research progresses of economic evaluation of COVID-19 vaccination strategies both at home and abroad, and provide reference for the economic evaluation of COVID-19 vaccination strategies using real word data in China. Methods: Literature retrieval was conducted for related papers published from January, 2020 to December, 2021 in Chinese and English databases, including the economic evaluation of COVID-19 vaccination, and the results of the related literatures were narratively integrated. Results: A total of 16 English literatures (including 3 reviews) were included, and it was found that the COVID-19 vaccination was cost-effective or cost-saving regardless of the vaccine types, while the cost-effectiveness in different population and under different vaccination dose strategies varied due to vaccine efficacy, vaccine price, duration of natural immunity, duration of vaccination campaign, vaccine supply, and vaccination pace. Conclusions: China lacks suitable evidences of economic evaluation of COVID-19 vaccination strategies based on real-world data in the context of long-term epidemic. Therefore, further researches of suitable strategies of booster COVID-19 vaccination are needed.

Observation of the Singly Cabibbo Suppressed Decay Λ_{c}^{+}→nπ^{+}. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2022; 128:142001. [PMID: 35476477 DOI: 10.1103/physrevlett.128.142001] [Citation(s) in RCA: 1] [Impact Index Per Article: 0.5] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Track Full Text] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 01/07/2022] [Revised: 02/05/2022] [Accepted: 03/01/2022] [Indexed: 06/14/2023]
Abstract
The singly Cabibbo-suppressed decay Λ_{c}^{+}→nπ^{+} is observed for the first time with a statistical significance of 7.3σ by using 3.9 fb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} collision data collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.612 and 4.699 GeV with the BESIII detector at BEPCII. The branching fraction of Λ_{c}^{+}→nπ^{+} is measured to be (6.6±1.2_{stat}±0.4_{syst})×10^{-4}. By taking the upper limit of branching fractions of Λ_{c}^{+}→pπ^{0} from the Belle experiment, the ratio of branching fractions between Λ_{c}^{+}→nπ^{+} and Λ_{c}^{+}→pπ^{0} is calculated to be larger than 7.2 at the 90% confidence level, which disagrees with most predictions of the available phenomenological models. In addition, the branching fractions of the Cabibbo-favored decays Λ_{c}^{+}→Λπ^{+} and Λ_{c}^{+}→Σ^{0}π^{+} are measured to be (1.31±0.08_{stat}±0.05_{syst})×10^{-2} and (1.22±0.08_{stat}±0.07_{syst})×10^{-2}, respectively, which are consistent with previous results.
