Abstract
A measurement of time-dependent CP violation in the decays of B^{0} and B[over ¯]^{0} mesons to the final states J/ψ(→μ^{+}μ^{-})K_{S}^{0}, ψ(2S)(→μ^{+}μ^{-})K_{S}^{0} and J/ψ(→e^{+}e^{-})K_{S}^{0} with K_{S}^{0}→π^{+}π^{-} is presented. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 6 fb^{-1} collected at a center-of-mass energy of sqrt[s]=13 TeV with the LHCb detector. The CP-violation parameters are measured to be S_{ψK_{S}^{0}}=0.717±0.013(stat)±0.008(syst) and C_{ψK_{S}^{0}}=0.008±0.012(stat)±0.003(syst). This measurement of S_{ψK_{S}^{0}} represents the most precise single measurement of the CKM angle β to date and is more precise than the current world average. In addition, measurements of the CP-violation parameters of the individual channels are reported and a combination with the LHCb Run 1 measurements is performed.

Abstract
Background Angiotensin receptor/neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI) and sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitor (SGLT2i) have shown a significant protective role against cardiovascular diseases and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), and there is a growing proportion of patients who are undergoing combined therapy with the two drugs. However, the effect of this combination treatment on renal function has not yet been determined. Methods This study included 539 patients who were diagnosed with cardiovascular disease combined with T2DM. According to the use of SGLT2i and ARNI, patients were divided into the combination treatment group, SGLT2i group, ARNI group and control group. Primary outcomes were serum creatinine (Scr) and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) changes in the 6th month and 12th month. Results In the ARNI group, no significant changes in Scr or eGFR were observed during the follow-up period, while the above indicators showed a trend of deterioration in the other three groups. The univariate analysis results showed that at 6 months of follow-up, the renal function indicators of patients treated with ARNI (either alone or in combination) were better than those treated with SGLT2i alone. After 12 months of follow-up, the Scr results were the same as before, while the difference in eGFR between groups disappeared. After multivariate analysis, in terms of delaying the progression of Scr, the ARNI group was superior to the other groups at the end of follow-up. No significant difference in eGFR was observed between groups during follow-up. Conclusion In patients with cardiovascular disease and T2DM, combination therapy with ARNI and SGLT2i did not show an advantage over monotherapy in delaying renal insufficiency progression, and renal function seems to be better preserved in patients treated with ARNI alone. Abstract
Recently, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-low breast cancer (BC) has emerged as a novel subset within the category of HER2-negative BC, prompting a reassessment of the immunohistochemical negative scores of 0, 1+, and the 2+/in situ hybridization (ISH) negative phenotype. Recent clinical trials have provided compelling evidence of the substantial clinical advantages offered by novel antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) that target HER2 in the treatment of these specific tumor cohorts. Notably, trastuzumab deruxtecan (T-Dxd), an ADC that specifically targets HER2, has recently received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration as the inaugural targeted therapeutic option for HER2-low BC. However, the classification of HER2-low BC as a distinct subtype, the methods for detecting HER2-low BC, and the optimal treatment approach for HER2-low BC remain subjects of ongoing debate and lack consensus. This comprehensive review aims to address these pertinent concerns, offering insights into the nuanced tumor biology underlying HER2-low BC and critically analyzing the current treatment pathways available. By synthesizing available evidence, the objective is to contribute to an enhanced understanding of HER2-low BC, providing a foundation for more informed clinical decisions and further advancements in tailored therapeutic approaches. As the medical community navigates these uncertainties, this review seeks to consolidate existing knowledge, fostering a collective effort toward establishing consensus in the diagnosis and treatment of HER2-low BC.

Abstract
Immunotherapy utilizing T cells that attack tumors is a promising strategy for treatment, but immune suppressive T cell subsets, such as regulatory T cell (Treg), and immune checkpoint molecules, including programmed death-1 (PD-1), can suppress the intensity of a T cell immune reaction and thereby impair tumor clearance. Cluster of differentiation 69 (CD69), known as an early leukocyte activation marker, can be used as a measure or early marker of T cell activation. In recent years, the functions of CD69 in the regulation of Treg/Th17 (T helper cell 17) differentiation and in the tissue retention of T cells have attracted considerable interest. These functions are related to the role of CD69 in immune suppression in tumor environments (TME). In this review, we first summarized current perspectives in the biological function of CD69 and demonstrated that CD69 acts as a regulator of T cell activation, differentiation, retention, and exhaustion. Then, we discussed recent advances in understanding of CD69 deficiency and anti-CD69 antibody administration and shed light on the value of targeting on CD69 for cancer immunotherapy and prognosis prediction.

Abstract
Key defining attributes of an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) include the choice of the targeting antibody, linker, payload, and the drug-to-antibody ratio (DAR). Historically, most ADC platforms have used the same DAR for all targets, regardless of target characteristics. However, recent studies and modeling suggest that the optimal DAR can depend on target expression level and intratumoral heterogeneity, target internalization and trafficking, and characteristics of the linker and payload. An ADC platform that enables DAR optimization could improve the success rate of clinical candidates. Here we report a systematic exploration of DAR across a wide range, by combining THIOMAB protein engineering technology with Dolasynthen, an auristatin-based platform with monomeric and trimeric variants. This approach enabled the generation of homogeneous, site-specific ADCs spanning a discrete range of DARs 2, 4, 6, 12, and 18 by conjugation of trastuzumab IgG1 THIOMAB constructs with 1, 2, or 3 engineered cysteines to monomeric or trimeric Dolasynthen. All ADCs had physicochemical properties that translated to excellent in vivo pharmacology. Following a single dose of ADCs in a HER2 xenograft model with moderate antigen expression, our data demonstrated comparable pharmacokinetics for the conjugates across all DARs and dose-dependent efficacy of all test articles. These results demonstrate that the Dolasynthen platform enables the generation of ADCs with a broad range of DAR values and with comparable physiochemical, pharmacologic, and pharmacokinetics profiles; thus, the Dolasynthen platform enables the empirical determination of the optimal DAR for a clinical candidate for a given target.

Abstract
Di(p-benzi)[40]decaphyrin(1.0.0.0.0.1.0.0.0.0) BF2 complex and tris(p-benzi)[60]pentadecaphyrin(1.0.0.0.0.1.0.0.0.0.1.0.0.0.0) BF2 complex were synthesized by Suzuki-Miyaura coupling of α,α'-diborylated tetrapyrrole BF2 -complex with 1,4-diiodobenzene. Bis-BF2 complex was converted to bis-PdII complex via its free base. Macrocycles bis-BF2 and tris-BF2 complex take Möbius topology but are nonaromatic, since the macrocyclic conjugation is disrupted by the locally aromatic 1,4-phenylene units. In contrast, bis-PdII complex is a weakly Hückel 38π-aromatic macrocycle as evinced by its red-shifted, enhanced, and structured Q-like bands and a small electrochemical HOMO-LUMO gap. Interestingly, one 1,4-pheylene part of bis-PdII complex takes a quinonoidal distorted structure and the other takes a usual benzene structure in a figure-eight conformation with Hückel topology.

Abstract
BACKGROUND This study aims to investigate the errors in structure volume and shape caused by the replication, expansion, and merging operations of the Monaco system and analyze their influence on dosimetry evaluation. METHODS A retrospective collection of 30 patients undergoing radiotherapy was utilized. Cylinders with radii of 5, 10, and 30 mm were delineated in computerized tomography (CT) images from 10 patients with thoracic and abdominal issues, and the Margins function in Monaco was used to expand the margins by 0, 3, 5, and 10 mm in 2D mode. In 10 patients with vertebral metastases, the Margins function was utilized to replicate and merge targets, and the Copy Structure function was employed to replicate targets. Cross-CT replication was performed for the targets of 10 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma. The deviation between the processed structure volume and the ideal value was compared. The difference in the maximum dose (Dmax) before and after lens replication was evaluated in 10 patients undergoing whole-brain radiotherapy. RESULTS Monaco's Margins function increased the volume of the processed structure during the copying procedure. The margin error was equivalent to expanding the structure by 0.3-0.4 mm, and a margin error of 0.3-0.4 mm was produced in each expansion instance. The volume deviation for a cylinder with a radius of 5 mm was 12.99%. The Merge function of Margins copied substructures and merged them. The Copy Structure function did not alter the structure during copying, but the volume was reduced by less than 1% after copying across CT. Dmax after lens replication was higher than that before replication, with a median difference of 31.3 cGy for the left lenses. CONCLUSION Monaco's Margins function introduces errors in organ replication, expansion, and merging, resulting in incorrect dose assessment. Physicians should be mindful of the potential effects when utilizing them.

Abstract
BACKGROUND We reported a rare case of combined Giardiasis, sepsis, and DIC in a Tibetan Chinese male in this study. METHODS Multiple fecal routine examinations, blood routine examination, blood culture, coagulation screening, and biochemical tests were done after August 1st, 2022. RESULTS The child had intermittent diarrhea. Giardia cysts were found in his stool mounts. Sepsis, disseminated intravascular coagulation, fever with blood routine decreasing, low proteinemia, hyperlactemia and hypocalcemia were also found in this case. CONCLUSIONS It is suggested that improving the resistance, immunity, and personal hygiene is particularly important for children from remote ethnic minority areas of China.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To observe the clinical efficacy of Chinese herbal medicine combined with Liuzijue exercise on the physiological symptoms and quality of life (QoL) in postoperative patients with early-stage lung cancer. METHODS One hundred and eighty-three lung cancer patients who underwent video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) were categorize into either a traditional Chinese medicine treatment group (CM) or a control group (non-traditional Chinese medicine treatment, NC), among whom 73 underwent Chinese herbal medicine and Liuzijue therapy, while 110 underwent no comprehensive treatment with traditional Chinese medicine. The propensity score matching (PSM) method with a 1:2 ratio was used to balance the baseline characteristics and evaluate the efficacy of CM in improving postoperative symptoms and QoL. RESULTS Cough, dyspnea, chest pain, and fatigue were the most common clinical symptoms after VATS. Except for chest pain, they were all correlated with the scope of operation (P < .05). After PSM, 165 patients were identified in the matched cohort, and the covariates of gender, age, operative site, and scope of operation were balanced between the 2 groups (P > .05). In the domain of global health status, the improvement in QoL in CM was greater than that in NC (6.06 ± 15.83 vs -1.06 ± 14.68, P = .005). In terms of symptoms, improvements in cough (1.69 ± 3.15 vs 0.38 ± 2.63, P = .006), dyspnea during climbing stairs (-10.30 ± 16.82 vs -1.82 ± 17.97, P = .004), and pain (-0.76 ± 1.32 vs -0.08 ± 1.31, P = .002) in CM were better than in NC. CONCLUSION Comprehensive treatment with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) can provide therapeutic benefits in physiological rehabilitation after VATS for cancer.

Abstract
AIMS Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) grows slowly and is characterised by potential recurrence and metastasis to distant organs. This study aimed to evaluate the risk factors for locoregional recurrence (LRR) and distant metastasis in patients with ACC of the external auditory canal (EAC). MATERIALS AND METHODS Demographic, pathological, therapeutic and survival data of 143 patients with EAC ACC were reviewed in this study. Univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression analyses were carried out to determine the risk factors for LRR and distant metastasis. Factors associated with overall survival after LRR and distant metastasis were also analysed. RESULTS During a median follow-up of 49 months, 31 of 143 patients were observed with LRR and 34 developed distant metastasis. Bone invasion and histological subtype were independent risk factors for locoregional recurrence-free survival. T stage and LRR were independent risk factors for distant metastasis-free survival. Salvage surgery and adjuvant radiotherapy or chemoradiotherapy for LRR resulted in better survival, whereas extrapulmonary metastasis and LRR were associated with a higher risk of poor survival after distant metastasis. CONCLUSION Patients with distant metastases, especially those with LRR, are at significant risk of poor prognosis. Our findings emphasise the importance of long-term regular follow-up and recommend surgical intervention with radiotherapy for recurrent EAC ACC.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Tongue diagnosis is a crucial traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) inspection method for TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment. OBJECTIVE The primary research focus was on tongue image characteristic parameters of patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Analysis of the tongue image parameters of various pathological stages of NSCLC provides technical support for establishing an integrated Chinese and Western auxiliary diagnosis and efficacy evaluation medicine system for lung cancer that integrates tongue image features. METHODS Tongue image characteristics of 309 patients with NSCLC and 206 controls were collected and analyzed clinically. The T-test or rank sum test and logistic regression analysis were applied to analyze the characteristics of tongue image indicators of different pathological stages of NSCLC. RESULTS There were differences in tongue image characteristics in the NSCLC group compared to the control group. The tongue quality and brightness of the tongue coating in the NSCLC group increased, the red component was reduced, the tongue coating thickened, and the yellow component increased compared to the healthy control group. A comparison of tongue image indexes of NSCLC in different pathological stages showed that stage IV had lower TB-b and higher TB-a than stage I. In addition, stage IV had lower TB-b than stage II + III, showing an increase in the blue and red components of the tongue in stage IV and the appearance of cyanotic tongue features. CONCLUSION The tongue image characteristics of NSCLC patients differed from those of the control group. Tongue imaging indicators can reflect the characteristics of tongue images of patients with NSCLC. The tongue image characteristics of patients with stage IV lung cancer are bluish and purple compared with those with stage I, II, and III. It is suggested that the tongue's image characteristics can be used as a reference for the pathological classification of NSCLC and judgment of the disease process.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Dementia is a growing global health challenge. Quantifying the current burden and predicting the future increases of dementia-related deaths are necessary to enhance effective policy decisions and health system planning. METHODS Data on dementia mortality was derived from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study (GBD) 2019 study. The 2020-2050 dementia-related deaths were forecasted using the Bayesian age-period-cohort model. RESULTS Globally, the number of dementia-related death increased from 0.56 million in 1990 to 1.62 million in 2019 and were estimated to increase to 4.91 million by the year 2050. Metabolic risk factors would become the most important modifiable risk factors affecting dementia death which account for 28.10% of dementia related death by the year 2050. For different Socio-demographic Index (SDI) regions, the low SDI region would have the highest age-standardized mortality rate (ASMR) (29.16 per 100,000) by 2050. Moreover, the number of dementia-related deaths under the age of 70 years was predicted to reach 0.18 million by 2050. CONCLUSIONS Dementia related death remains a global health problem, and health policies targeting metabolic risk factors may be an important way to alleviate this problem.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Ulcerative colitis (UC) and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) are common intestinal diseases. According to the clinical experience and curative effect, the authors formulated Kuiyu Pingchang Decoction (KYPCD) comprised of Paeoniae radix alba, Aurantii Fructus, Herba euphorbiae humifusae, Lasiosphaera seu Calvatia, Angelicae sinensis radix, Panax ginseng C.A. Mey., Platycodon grandiforus and Allium azureum Ledeb. OBJECTIVE The aim of the present study was to explore the mechanisms of KYPCD in the treatment of UC and IBS following the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory of "Treating different diseases with the same treatment". METHODS The chemical ingredients and targets of KYPCD were obtained using the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology database and analysis platform (TCMSP). The targets of UC and IBS were extracted using the DisGeNET, GeneCards, DrugBANK, OMIM and TTD databases. The "TCM-component-target" network and the "TCM-shared target-disease" network were imaged using Cytoscape software. The protein-protein interaction (PPI) network was built using the STRING database. The DAVID platform was used to analyze the Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathways. Using Autodock Tools software, the main active components of KYPCD were molecularly docked with their targets and visualized using PyMOL. RESULTS A total of 46 active ingredients of KYPCD corresponding to 243 potential targets, 1,565 targets of UC and 1,062 targets of IBS, and 70 targets among active ingredients and two diseases were screened. Core targets in the PPI network included IL6, TNF, AKT1, IL1B, TP53, EGFR and VEGFA. GO and KEGG enrichment analysis demonstrated 563 biological processes, 48 cellular components, 82 molecular functions and 144 signaling pathways. KEGG enrichment results revealed that the regulated pathways were mainly related to the PI3K-AKT, MAPK, HIF-1 and IL-17 pathways. The results of molecular docking analysis indicated that the core active ingredients of KYPCD had optimal binding activity to their corresponding targets. CONCLUSION KYPCD may use IL6, TNF, AKT1, IL1B, TP53, EGFR and VEGFA as the key targets to achieve the treatment of UC and IBS through the PI3K-AKT, MAPK, HIF-1 and IL-17 pathways.

Abstract
The fusion genes NRG1 and NRG2 , members of the epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor family, have emerged as key drivers in cancer. Upon fusion, NRG1 retains its EGF-like active domain, binds to the ERBB ligand family, and triggers intracellular signaling cascades, promoting uncontrolled cell proliferation. The incidence of NRG1 gene fusion varies across cancer types, with lung cancer being the most prevalent at 0.19 to 0.27%. CD74 and SLC3A2 are the most frequently observed fusion partners. RNA-based next-generation sequencing is the primary method for detecting NRG1 and NRG2 gene fusions, whereas pERBB3 immunohistochemistry can serve as a rapid prescreening tool for identifying NRG1 -positive patients. Currently, there are no approved targeted drugs for NRG1 and NRG2 . Common treatment approaches involve pan-ERBB inhibitors, small molecule inhibitors targeting ERBB2 or ERBB3, and monoclonal antibodies. Given the current landscape of NRG1 and NRG2 in solid tumors, a consensus among diagnostic and treatment experts is proposed, and clinical trials hold promise for benefiting more patients with NRG1 and NRG2 gene fusion solid tumors.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore the correlation between periodontal health and cognitive impairment in the older population to provide the evidence for preventing cognitive impairment from the perspective of oral health care in older adults. METHODS A comprehensive search was conducted in PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Library, the Web of Science, the China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Data, the China Science and Technology Journal Database, and the China Biomedical Literature Database, to include both cross-sectional and longitudinal cohort studies on the association between periodontal health and cognitive impairment in older adults. The search was completed in April 2023. Following quality assessment and data organization of the included studies, meta-analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.4. RESULTS Twenty-two studies involving a total of 4,246,608 patients were included to comprehensively assess periodontal health from four dimensions (periodontitis, tooth loss, occlusal support, and masticatory ability), with the outcome variable of cognitive impairment (including mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer's disease and all-cause dementia). Meta-analysis showed that, compared to those of periodontally healthy older adults, the risk of cognitive impairment in older adults with poor periodontal health, after adjusting for confounders, was significantly greater for those with periodontitis (OR=1.45, 95% CI: 1.20-1.76, P<0.001), tooth loss (OR=1.80, 95% CI: 1.50-2.15, P<0.001), compromised occlusal support (OR=1.87, 95% CI: 1.29-2.70, P=0.001), and reduced masticatory ability (OR=1.39, 95% CI: 1.11-1.75, P=0.005). The risk of cognitive impairment was higher in older adults with low-dentition than in those with high-dentition. Subgroup analysis revealed older individuals with fewer remaining teeth were at a higher risk of developing cognitive impairment compared to those with more remaining teeth, as shown by the comparison of number of teeth lost (7-17 teeth compared to 0-6 teeth) (OR=1.64, 95% CI: 1.13-2.39, P=0.01), (9-28 teeth compared to 0-8 teeth) (OR=1.13, 95% CI: 1.06-1.20, P<0.001), (19-28 teeth compared to 0-18 teeth) (OR=2.52, 95% CI: 1.32-4.80, P=0.005), and (28 teeth compared to 0-27 teeth) (OR=2.07, 95% CI: 1.54-2.77, P<0.001). In addition, tooth loss in older adults led to a significantly increased risk of mild cognitive impairment (OR=1.66, 95% CI: 1.43-1.91, P<0.001) and all-cause dementia (OR=1.35, 95% CI: 1.11-1.65, P=0.003), although the correlation between tooth loss and the risk of Alzheimer's disease was not significant (OR=3.89, 95% CI: 0.68-22.31, P=0.13). CONCLUSION Poor periodontal health, assessed across four dimensions (periodontitis, tooth loss, occlusal support, and masticatory ability), represents a significant risk factor for cognitive impairment in older adults. The more missing teeth in older adults, the higher risk of developing cognitive impairment, with edentulous individuals particularly susceptible to cognitive impairment. While a certain degree of increased risk of Alzheimer's disease was observed, no significant association was found between tooth loss and the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease. Enhancing periodontal health management and delivering high-quality oral health care services to older adults can help prevent cognitive impairment.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION TYK2 inhibitors and traditional natural drugs as promising drugs for psoriasis therapy are receiving increasing attention. They both affect different molecules of JAK/STAT pathway, but it is currently unclear whether their combination will enhance the effect on psoriasis. In this study, we used imiquimod (IMQ)-induced psoriasis mouse model to investigate the therapeutic effects of the combined administration of deucravacitinib (TYK2 inhibitor) and shikonin. METHODS Aldara cream containing 5% IMQ was used to topically treat the dorsal skin of each mouse for a total of six consecutive days to induce psoriasis. The psoriasis area and severity index (PASI) scores were recorded every day. On the 7th day, skin tissues were taken for histopathological examination and the content of cytokines in skin were evaluated. The frequency of immune cells in peripheral blood, spleen and skin were detected through flow cytometry. RESULTS Compared to the vehicle control group, the psoriasis symptoms and immune disorder improved significantly in the combination therapy group and deucravacitinib treatment group on the 7th day, and the expressions of p-STAT3 and Ki67 in skin were reduced as well. Moreover, the combined treatment of deucravacitinib and shikonin for psoriasis was superior to the monotherapy group, especially in inhibiting abnormal capillaries proliferation, reducing immune cells infiltration and decreasing the concentration of IL-12p70 in skin. CONCLUSION The combination of deucravacitinib and shikonin is a promising clinical application.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Alzheimer's disease (AD), the most common type of irreversible dementia, is predicted to affect 152 million people by 2050. Evidence from large-scale preventive randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on modifiable risk variables in Europe has shown that multi-domain lifestyle treatments for older persons at high risk of dementia may be practical and effective. Given the substantial differences between the Chinese and European populations in terms of demographics and living conditions, direct adoption of the European program in China remains unfeasible. Although a RCT has been conducted in China previously, its participants were mainly from rural areas in northern China and, thus, are not representative of the entire nation.There is an urgent need to establish cohorts that represent different economic, cultural, and geographical situations in order to explore implementation strategies and evaluate the effects of early multi-domain interventions more comprehensively and accurately. MEDTODS We developed an integrated intervention procedure implemented in urban neighborhood settings, namely China Initiative for Multi-Domain Intervention (CHINA-IN-MUDI). CHINA-IN-MUDI is a 2-year multicenter open-label cluster-randomised controlled trial centered around a Chinese-style multi-domain intervention to prevent cognitive decline. Participants aged 60-80 years were recruited from a nationally representative study, i.e. China Healthy Aging and Dementia Study cohort. An external harmonization process was carried out to preserve the original FINGER design. Subsequently, we standardized a series of Chinese-style intervention programs to align with cultural and socioeconomic status. Additionally, we expanded the secondary outcome list to include genomic and proteomic analyses. To enhance adherence and facilitate implementation, we leveraged an e-health application. RESULTS Screening commenced in July 2022. Currently, 1,965 participants have been randomized into lifestyle intervention (n = 772) and control groups (n = 1,193). Both the intervention and control groups exhibited similar baseline characteristics. Several lifestyle and vascular risk factors were present, indicating a potential window of opportunity for intervention. The intervention will be completed by 2025. CONCLUSIONS This project will contribute to the evaluation of the effectiveness and safety of intervention strategies in controlling AD risk and reducing clinical events, providing a basis for public health decision-making in China.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Postoperative non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients frequently encounter a deteriorated quality of life (QOL), disturbed immune response, and disordered homeostasis. Si-Jun-Zi Decoction (SJZD), a well-known traditional Chinese herbal formula, is frequently employed in clinical application for many years. Exploration is underway to investigate the potential therapeutic effect of SJZD for treating postoperative NSCLC. OBJECTIVE To assess the efficacy of SJZD on QOLs, hematological parameters, and regulations of gut microbiota in postoperative NSCLC patients. METHODS A prospective observational cohort study was conducted, enrolling 65 postoperative NSCLC patients between May 10, 2020 and March 15, 2021 in Yueyang Hospital, with 33 patients in SJZD group and 32 patients in control (CON) group. The SJZD group comprised of patients who received standard treatments and the SJZD decoction, while the CON group consisted of those only underwent standard treatments. The treatment period was 4 weeks. The primary outcome was QOL. The secondary outcomes involved serum immune cell and inflammation factor levels, safety, and alterations in gut microbiota. RESULTS SJZD group showed significant enhancements in cognitive functioning (P = .048) at week 1 and physical functioning (P = .019) at week 4. Lung cancer-specific symptoms included dyspnea (P = .001), coughing (P = .008), hemoptysis (P = .034), peripheral neuropathy (P = .019), and pain (arm or shoulder, P = .020, other parts, P = .019) eased significantly in the fourth week. Anemia indicators such as red blood cell count (P = .003 at week 1, P = .029 at week 4) and hemoglobin (P = .016 at week 1, P = .048 at week 4) were significantly elevated by SJZD. SJZD upregulated blood cell cluster differentiation (CD)3+ (P = .001 at week 1, P < .001 at week 4), CD3+CD4+ (P = .012 at week 1), CD3+CD8+ (P = .027 at week 1), CD19+ (P = .003 at week 4), increased anti-inflammatory interleukin (IL)-10 (P = .004 at week 1, P = .003 at week 4), and decreased pro-inflammatory IL-8 (P = .004 at week 1, p = .005 at week 4). Analysis of gut microbiota indicated that SJZD had a significant impact on increasing microbial abundance and diversity, enriching probiotic microbes, and regulating microbial biological functions. CONCLUSIONS SJZD appears to be an effective and safe treatment for postoperative NSCLC patients. As a preliminary observational study, this study provides a foundation for further research.

Abstract
Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the factors influencing pathological complete response (pCR) rate in early breast cancer patients receiving neoadjuvant dual-target [trastuzumab (H) + pertuzumab (P)] therapy combined with chemotherapy. Additionally, the consistency of the Miller-Payne and residual cancer burden (RCB) systems in evaluating the efficacy of neoadjuvant therapy for early human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER2)+ breast cancer was analyzed. Methods The clinicopathological data of female patients with early-stage HER2+ breast cancer who received dual-target neoadjuvant therapy at 26 hospitals of the Chinese Society of Breast Surgery (CSBrS) from March 2019 to December 2021 were collected. Patients were allocated to four groups: the HER2 immunohistochemistry (IHC) 3+/hormone receptor (HR)-, IHC3+/HR+, IHC2+ in situ hybridization (ISH)+/HR- and IHC2+ ISH+/HR+ groups. The overall pCR rate for patients, the pCR rate in each group and the factors affecting the pCR rate were analyzed. The consistency between the Miller-Payne and RCB systems in assessing the efficacy of neoadjuvant therapy was analyzed. Results From March 1, 2019, to December 31, 2021, 77,376 female patients with early-stage breast cancer were treated at 26 hospitals; 18,853 (24.4%) of these patients were HER2+. After exclusion of unqualified patients, 2,395 patients who received neoadjuvant dual-target (H+P) therapy combined with chemotherapy were included in this study. The overall pCR rate was 53.0%, and the patients' HR statuses and different HER2+ statuses were significantly correlated with the pCR rate (P<0.05). The consistency of the pathological efficacy assessed by the Miller-Payne and RCB systems was 88.0% (κ=0.717, P<0.001). Conclusions Different HER2 expression statuses and HR expression statuses are correlated with the pCR rate after dual-target neoadjuvant therapy in HER2+ breast cancer patients. There is a relatively good consistency between Miller-Payne and RCB systems in evaluating the pathologic efficacy of neoadjuvant therapy for HER2+ breast cancer.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Cognitive dysfunction due to reduced neuronal transmission in the brain is a major emerging complication in diabetes. However, recent neuroimaging studies have demonstrated non-linear changes including hyperactivity in the hippocampus during the early stage of diabetes. This study aimed to determine the changes in neuronal activity at a single-cell level in hippocampal CA1 pyramidal neurons in the early stage of streptozotocin-induced type 1 diabetes in mice. METHODS Whole-cell patch-clamp recordings from acute brain slices were performed in mice over 4 consecutive weeks following the induction of hyperglycaemia using streptozotocin. In addition, microdialysate was collected from CA1 area while the mice were in an arousal state. The concentrations of glutamate and GABA in the microdialysate were then measured using ultra-performance liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry. RESULTS CA1 neurons in streptozotocin-induced diabetic mice exhibited higher membrane potentials (p = 0.0052), higher frequency of action potentials (p = 0.0052), and higher frequency of spontaneous excitatory post-synaptic currents (p = 0.037) compared with controls during the second week after hyperglycaemia was established. No changes in electrophysiological parameters were observed during the first, the third, and the fourth week. Moreover, the diabetic mice had higher extracellular glutamate concentration in CA1 area compared with controls (p = 0.021) during the second week after the initiation of diabetes. No change in the extracellular GABA concentration was observed. CONCLUSION Our study demonstrated a temporary state of neuronal hyperactivity at the single-cell level in the hippocampal CA1 region during the early stage of diabetes. This neuronal hyperactivity might be related to altered glutamate metabolism and provide clues for future brain-target intervention.

Abstract
The detection of antibiotic residues is of great significance in monitoring their overuse in healthcare, livestock and poultry farming, and agricultural production. Herein, EuCl3 and 4,4'-dicarboxyl-diphenoxyethene (H2DPOE) ionothermally reacted in 1-methyl-3-butylimidazolium chloride to give a europium metal-organic framework (Eu-DPOE). Eu-DPOE shows different fluorescence quenching rates for sensing eight antibiotics under different excitation wavelengths. Eu-DPOE displays a fast response, high selectivity, and sensitivity in antibiotic detection by fluorescence quenching. Eu-DPOE can sensitively detect TCs (tetracyclines), NOR (norfloxacin), NFT (furazolidone), ODZ (ornidazole), SDZ (sulfadiazine), and CHL (chloramphenicol) with limits of detection below 0.5 μmol/L. It provides a convenient and rapid tool for sensing antibiotics in aqueous solution. The detection mechanism is a competition absorption between DPOE2- and antibiotics with the supports from powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), UV-vis spectra, and fluorescence lifetime. With a composite membrane of poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) matrix loading Eu-DPOE (Eu-DPOE@PVDF), Eu-DPOE@PVDF exhibits a visual fluorescence response to NOR under a 254 nm UV lamp and NFT and CTC under 365 nm. Eu-DPOE@PVDF is applied in the quantitative detection of CTC, NOR, and NFT in lake water with recovery rates ranging from 88.37 to 113.8%. Totally, fluorescence-quenched Eu-DPOE@PVDF exhibits a fast response, high selectivity, and sensitivity in sensing CTC, NOR, and NFT.

Abstract
A measurement of the mass of the Higgs boson combining the H→ZZ^{*}→4ℓ and H→γγ decay channels is presented. The result is based on 140 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collision data collected by the ATLAS detector during LHC run 2 at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV combined with the run 1 ATLAS mass measurement, performed at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, yielding a Higgs boson mass of 125.11±0.09(stat)±0.06(syst)=125.11±0.11 GeV. This corresponds to a 0.09% precision achieved on this fundamental parameter of the Standard Model of particle physics.

Abstract
A search for events with a dark photon produced in association with a dark Higgs boson via rare decays of the standard model Z boson is presented, using 139 fb^{-1} of sqrt[s]=13 TeV proton-proton collision data recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The dark boson decays into a pair of dark photons, and at least two of the three dark photons must each decay into a pair of electrons or muons, resulting in at least two same-flavor opposite-charge lepton pairs in the final state. The data are found to be consistent with the background prediction, and upper limits are set on the dark photon's coupling to the dark Higgs boson times the kinetic mixing between the standard model photon and the dark photon, α_{D}ϵ^{2}, in the dark photon mass range of [5, 40] GeV except for the ϒ mass window [8.8, 11.1] GeV. This search explores new parameter space not previously excluded by other experiments.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Assessment of near work-induced transient myopia (NITM) is important for permanent myopia development and progression. Atropine eye drop has been reported to be beneficial in reducing initial NITM and slowing down myopic progression. This study aimed to investigate the efficacy of 0.01% atropine in treating NITM and its possible association with the progression of refractive change in Chinese myopic children. METHODS AND ANALYSIS The study is designed as a parallel assignment prospective, randomised, double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial conducted at He Eye Specialist Hospital in Shenyang, China. One hundred fifty participants will be randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive 0.01% atropine or placebo eye drop once nightly bilaterally for 1 year. Initial NITM, cycloplegic refraction, axial length, best-corrected visual acuity, intraocular pressure and pupil diameter will be measured at baseline, 4 weeks, 12 weeks, 24 weeks, 36 weeks and 48 weeks. Visual Function Questionnaire will be administered at baseline and each follow-up visit. Adverse events also will be monitored and documented at each subsequent follow-up visit. ETHICS AND DISSEMINATION A parallel assignment prospective, randomised, double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial to evaluate the efficacy of 0.01% atropine for near work-induced transient myopia and myopic progression registered on 10 September 2023. Abstract
Objective: To construct a diagnostic model for fatty liver using body composition analysis and further evaluate the diagnostic effect of the model on fatty liver. Methods: 726 cases with chronic liver disease who visited Tianjin Second People's Hospital from April 2019 to June 2022 and had body composition analysis tests were retrospectively enrolled and were divided into a fatty liver group (551 cases with fatty liver) and a control group (175 cases without fatty liver) according to the measured values of abdominal ultrasound and controlled attenuation parameter. An independent sample t-test and a non-parametric rank sum test were used for statistical processing. Logistic regression was used to construct a diagnostic model. Hosmer-Lemeshow was used to validate the fit of model. Receiver operating characteristic curve was used to confirm the diagnostic efficiency of the model. In addition, 341 cases of chronic liver disease who visited Tianjin Second People's Hospital were included to further verify the application effect of the model between July 2022 and February 2023. Results: Compared with the control group, the differences in various indicators of body composition analysis in the fatty liver group were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Basal metabolic rate (X1), visceral fat area (X2), and body fat (X3) were eventually included in the diagnostic model for BCA-FL (body composition analysis-fatty liver)= -7.771+0.002X1-0.035X2+0.456X3 with the Hosmer-Lemeshow test (P=0.059). The measured area under the receiver operating characteristic curve, the sensitivity, and the specificity were 0.888, 0.889, and 0.726, respectively, when the diagnostic threshold value was 0.615 with the Youden index and the receiver operating characteristic curve. In the validated model group, the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve, Youden index, sensitivity, and specificity were 0.875, 0.624, 0.799, and 0.825, respectively. Conclusion: The diagnostic model BCA-FL for fatty liver constructed using human body composition analysis has good diagnostic efficacy and is suitable for screening fatty liver in different basic liver disease populations.
