Abstract
Cyanoacrylates have a wide range of biological activities and are extensively applied in production and daily life. Classic synthetic routes to cyanoacrylates have many limitations. Herein, we demonstrate an elemental sulfur-promoted method for the synthesis of β,β-diaryl cyanoacrylates by a tandem 1,6-Michael addition/oxidation/elimination process from p-QMs and cyanoacetates under optimal conditions. The effective protocol has good substrate scopes and yields, and the ratio of inseparable E/Z isomers of cyanoacrylates is also determined by 1HNMR.

Abstract
Cellulose, as a green and available phytochemical, was immobilized on the surface of magnetite nanoparticles then doped with imidazole and Co. complex (Fe3O4@CNF ∼ ImSBL ∼ Co.) and used as a water-dispersible, recyclable and efficient nano catalyst for the synthesis of C-C cross-coupling reactions including fluoride-free Hiyama and Suzuki reactions in an aqueous medium as an efficient and vital solvent, due to their high application and importance in various fields of science. Different spectroscopic and microscopic techniques were used for the catalyst characterization such XRD, FESEM, TEM, FT-IR, EDX, DLS, VSM, UV-Vis, and ICP analyses. The presence of imidazole as ionic section tags with hydrophilic character on the Co-complex supported on magnetic nanoparticles provides dispersion of the catalyst particles in water, which leads to both higher catalytic performance and also facile catalyst recovery and reuse six times by successive extraction and final magnetic separation. High catalytic activity was found for the catalyst and high to excellent efficiency was obtained for all Suzuki (80-98% yield; E factor: 1.1-1.9) and Hiyama (87-98% yield; E factor: 0.26-1.1) derivatives in short reaction times under mild reaction conditions in the absence of any hazardous or expensive materials. There is not any noticeable by-product found whether for Suzuki or Hiyama derivatives, which reflects the high selectivity and also the lower the E factor the more favorable is the process in view of green chemistry. The bi-aryls were achieved from the reaction of various aryl iodides/bromides and even chlorides as the highly challenging substrates, which are more available and cheaper, with triethoxyphenylsilane or phenylboronic acid. To prove the performance of the catalyst components (synergistic of SBL ∼ Co. and IL), its different homologs were incorporated individually and studied for a model reaction. Exclusively, this is an introductory statement on the use of Cobalt binuclear symmetric ionic liquid catalysts in Hiyama reactions.

Abstract
Functionalized 1,3-dienes were efficiently accessed from visible-light-driven, palladium-catalyzed Heck reaction of S,S-functionalized internal vinyl bromides with styrenes under mild conditions. This Heck reaction showcased tolerance of a wide array of functional groups, afforded the target products in moderate to excellent yields through a radical reaction pathway. The resultant diene products could be further transformed to highly functionalized trisubstituted furan derivatives.

Abstract
The development of new catalytic processes based on abundantly available starting materials by cheap metals is always a fascinating task and marks an important transition in the chemical industry. Herein, a nickel-catalyzed acceptorless dehydrogenative coupling of alcohols with nitriles followed by decyanation of nitriles to access diversely substituted olefins is reported. This unprecedented C═C bond-forming methodology takes place in a tandem manner with the formation of formamide as a sole byproduct. The significant advantages of this strategy are the low-cost nickel catalyst, good functional group compatibility (ether, thioether, halo, cyano, ester, amino, N/O/S heterocycles; 43 examples), synthetic convenience, and high reaction selectivity and efficiency.

Abstract
Cross-coupling reactions are powerful synthetic tools for the formation of remarkable building blocks of many naturally occurring molecules, polymers and biologically active compounds. These reactions have brought potent transformations in chemical and pharmaceutical disciplines. In this review, we have focused on the use of cross-coupling reactions such as Suzuki, Negishi, Heck, Sonogashira and Stille in the total synthesis of some natural products of recent years (2016-2020). A short introduction of mentioned cross-coupling reactions along with highlighted aspects of natural products has been stated in separate sections. Additionally, few examples of natural products via incorporation of more than one type of cross-coupling reaction have also been added to demonstrate the importance of these reactions in organic synthesis.

Manganese and Nickel Acetylacetonates as Curatives for Chloroprene Rubber Based on Heck's Reaction. MATERIALS 2021; 14:ma14040807. Abstract
The commonly used curing system for chloroprene rubber (CR) is a combination of two metal oxides, such as magnesium oxide (MgO) and zinc oxide (ZnO). Application of MgO and ZnO enables to obtain a good balance between processability of rubber compounds and mechanical properties of the vulcanizates. Despite high activity in crosslinking reactions, ZnO is classified as ecotoxic to aquatic organisms, thus environmental legislation requires its quantity in technology to be limited. In our studies more environmentally friendly curing systems were applied, which enabled eliminating ZnO from CR compounds. These curing systems consisted of manganese acetylacetonate (Mn(acac)) or nickel acetylacetonate (Ni(acac)) and triethanolamine (TEOA) used as a base necessary to perform Heck’s reaction. Both metal acetylacetonates exhibited high activity in crosslinking reactions, which was confirmed by a great torque increment during rheometric measurements and high degree of elastomer crosslinking. The type of metal acetylacetonate and the amount of TEOA seemed to have less influence on the efficiency of the curing system than the filler used. Rubber compounds filled with carbon black (CB) were characterized by definitely shorter optimal vulcanization times and higher degree of crosslinking compared to CR composites filled with nanosized SiO2. Moreover, application of the proposed curing systems allowed to obtain CR vulcanizates with mechanical properties comparable with the benchmarks cured with metal oxides.

Abstract
A new synthesis method for tailor-made iron-hybrid nanoparticles has been carried out for the first time using enzymes, which directly induce the formation of inorganic iron species. The role of the protein was critical for the formation and morphology of the iron nanostructures and, depending on the enzyme, by simple mixing with ammonium iron(ii) sulfate at room temperature and under air, it was possible to obtain, for the first time, well stabilized superparamagnetic iron and iron oxide nanorods, nanosheets and nanorings or even completely amorphous non-magnetic iron structures in the protein network. These iron nanostructure-enzyme hybrids showed excellent results as heterogeneous catalysts in organic chemistry (chemoselective hydrogenation and C-C bonding formation) and environmental remediation processes.

Abstract
The Heck reaction, along with other cross-coupling reactions, led to a revolution in organic chemistry. In the last 50 years, metal-catalyzed, photo-induced, or base-mediated Heck and Heck-type reactions have been elegantly developed. Brønsted acid-catalyzed Heck (or Heck-type) reactions are still unknown, however. By introducing alkyl peroxides as the key intermediates, primary, secondary, and tertiary aliphatic carboxylic acids are therefore applied here in a one-pot Brønsted acid-catalyzed Heck-type reaction, to deliver E-alkenes exclusively in most cases. The use of HOTf is vital to the reaction, whose mechanism is supported by both experimental and computational results. This method can be expanded to the direct alkylation of complex natural products. First acid-catalyzed Heck-type reaction Aliphatic acids are utilized as the sources of alkyl functionalities E-alkenes exclusively in most cases Strong acid effect

Abstract
Robust and flexible cellulose sponges were prepared by dual-cross-linking cellulose nanofiber (CNF) with γ-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GPTMS) and polydopamine (PDA) and used as carriers of metal nanoparticles (NPs), such as palladium (Pd). In situ growth of Pd NPs on the surface of CNF was achieved in the presence of polydopamine (PDA). The modified sponges were characterized with FT-IR, XRD, EDX, SEM, TEM, and TGA. XRD, EDX, and TEM results revealed that the Pd NPs were homogeneously dispersed on the surface of CNF with a narrow size distribution. The catalysts could be successfully applied to heterogeneous Suzuki and Heck cross-coupling reactions. Leaching of Pd was negligible and the catalysts could be conveniently separated from the products and reused.

Abstract
The decomposition of 5-benzhydryl-1H-tetrazole in an N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone/acetic acid/water mixture was investigated under a variety of high-temperature reaction conditions. Employing a sealed Pyrex glass vial and batch microwave conditions at 240 °C, the tetrazole is comparatively stable and complete decomposition to diphenylmethane requires more than 8 h. Similar kinetic data were obtained in conductively heated flow devices with either stainless steel or Hastelloy coils in the same temperature region. In contrast, in a flow instrument that utilizes direct electric resistance heating of the reactor coil, tetrazole decomposition was dramatically accelerated with rate constants increased by two orders of magnitude. When 5-benzhydryl-1H-tetrazole was exposed to 220 °C in this type of flow reactor, decomposition to diphenylmethane was complete within 10 min. The mechanism and kinetic parameters of tetrazole decomposition under a variety of reaction conditions were investigated. A number of possible explanations for these highly unusual rate accelerations are presented. In addition, general aspects of reactor degradation, corrosion and contamination effects of importance to continuous flow chemistry are discussed.

Abstract
FeCl3·6H2O-catalysed Mizoroki–Heck reactions of aryl iodides with methyl acrylate have been achieved by using 2,2′-diamino-6,6′-dimethylbiphenyl as the ligand and NaHCO3 as the base in DMF and H2O. It was found that an appropriate amount of H2O is essential for high yields in these reactions.
